This about my fantasies of (Raven) a female character in The Cartoon animated series (Teen Titans)

Brennan's Pov
The domination of the stepstones occurred quickly and very well, the undead army killed completely all humans on the island, from the pirates and whores to the captains, merchants and even the children. After dealing with the pirate and with an army of 76.000 men, they would march in direction of Stormlands, after several battles and victories for all over the stormlands they would march to highgarden.
While it Daenerys would suffer one assassination attempt, where she starts to shows some signs of the madness, after some events she sends the unsullied to kill all she considers opposers, the three dragons would start to attack the rest of the free cities, violently and burn the entire Astapor down.
Lots of other events Aegon and his army would march to highgarden and Daenerys and her army would start travel to Westeros. 
Due to a bad weather Daenerys fleet would aim the stepstones for supplies, in the middle of the attack, a sea dragon would appear and kill Viserion with a stream of water, revealing that sea dragons can "breath" jets of water so destructive as the flames of a dragon.
Drogon and Rhaegal would kill it and in rage burn the entire island, killing everyone and destroying everything including the soo needed supplies.
After it, other events in Yi Ti a silver prince would appear commanding one dragon and two sea dragons in a quest to find the great war. Beyond the wall, the white walkers a very different version of the others would start a full march, leading millions of undead, giant spiders.
With a deep breath Brennan closed his eyes and cleaned his mind about the future, it was pointless to think about the future and not do nothing to change it, opening his eyes he saw the gacha screen in his front.
This time however he was not looking for the 'roll' option, his eyes were fixed in the new option that appeared, upgrade, right now the gacha he used was the lowest class, by spending 10 thousand gold coins, he could upgrade it to the copper version, then the bronze version for 100 thousand gold coins, the silver for one million and the gold version for ten millions. 
Every upgrade granted a 10 times row, and the higher the rank of the gancha the higher the chances of getting something of a high rarity, by now he used more than 10 million in the gacha and barely gained anything above rare rank, anything above super rare would not appear.
By upgrading it the chance will rise, and even new ranks could appear, in the copper rank Ultra rare and USR rank prizes would appear, at bronze, the above ranks would appear and in the silver rank gacha, the G – Godly rank prize had a very small chance of appearing.

Seeing the prizes Brennan smiled, aside from the titanium ring, the silver cups, and the cd games, everything else was very useful. In almost every row, one or two and sometimes more prizes would be useless, like infamous cd game pack, he enjoyed a lot the game series in the past, but in this life, he had no time to use it, nor he had a console or tv or electricity.
Among the useless things he gained the Tiger 5 Tank, the PlayStation X console, the electric flycatcher and the Ferrari collection, were the most useless, he had a tank but he didn't know how to drive it nor he had any fuel, for the game console and the flycatcher, he had no electricity to use them, the Ferrari collection, well they were beautiful, but he had no place to drive them or fuel.
A thousand silver cups could seem useless, but he could use them to receive visits, he could sell them, use them, or just melt them and make coins, so they had a lot more useful than a tank, even though having a tank was awesome.
Even the ten thousand songs book, had more use here, some bards would sell their wives and mothers just to get some songs in it.
Using more money, Brennan upgraded the gacha to Bronze, the copper screen became Bronze and the row started again, giving ten more prizes.

Once the bronze gacha showed the prizes, Brennan couldn't hold a smile, one legendary, one ultra-rare prizes and five super-rare, it was a huge gain, maybe today the lady luck, if she existed here, was blessing him.
Taking the last coins, he had, he used the gacha one last time, in a three times row.

After the last row Brennan, took some time to understand better his prizes, as a common person he had difficulty remembering some things from a distant past and some of the prizes were things he never heard, saw or knew before.
Luckily one of the functions of the gacha besides eating money for prizes, was detailed info about every prize, the info usually covered things like the world it came, who or what it was and its properties, unfortunately, the info sometimes was not very detailed, and could have some parts missing.
One thing to be noted was, if he did saw or knew something before the information of it would be very more detailed than the info of something he never saw or knew, if he ever read, heard or saw something before even if didn't remember it the information would bring him some memories of them.
Like when he gained a lightsaber, he had detailed information about it, but he was never a Star Wars fan and only watched one movie that he really didn't bother to remember.
Taking his time, he started to analyze the prizes one by one, the farmers were more valuable than the same amount of silver, right now the north and now the stepstones lacked workers the most, plus after some time these farmers could have kids to help to increase the population even more.
The silvers cups and the titanium ring hold no real value at all other than selling value, Jason, however, was a useful unit, Jason was a very known and infamous character of terror movies, at first he was just a very scary mass murderer but over the time and after some deaths, he slowly became an undead creature with supernatural powers.
A water breathing ring was useless to him, but he could give it to someone to prevent them from drowning. Liang was a character of an animation, he was a normal human but he lived in a steampunk world and had a massive knowledge and affinity with machines, being able to create or modify them, he was so skilled that he could create automatons and even reshape a living organism, a fox into an android powered by  black powder.
 Next was Ronan Lynch a greywaren a student with powers, capable of bringing items from dreams to the real world, asides his powers Ronan was pretty much a normal guy, the Kraken, was an aquatic creature from ben 10 world, it was unknown if it was alien or not, they were four-legged with two tentacles in their mouths, they were very strong and could lay one or two eggs without a partner. 
The cornucopia was an ability with the powers of the said mythological item, it allowed to create any food or drink the user wanted, unlike the item, it couldn't create unlimited food but the quantity was enough to have a banquet for some thousands every day.
 Moving forward, the Leshen was a wood spirit/ wood monster from the witcher world, they could control plants and animals to their purposes. John Proudstar aka thunderbird was a mutant from the series the gifted based on the marvel world, he was a mutant with enhanced senses, super strength, and durability.
The Magic Copy Machine, came from a cartoon called fairy OddParents, with was a copy machine capable of wish-granting, that can copy anything from a catalog or magazine and turn it into a real-life object, creating a real copy of whatever it is scanning. Like a real copy machine, it can become jammed from overuse, and can also run out of toner and no longer be able to grant wishes. It also has a setting that can create a life-sized version of the object, although this may also literally bring the object to life.
The DNA Transmodulator was an item used by dr.animo, also from ben 10 world, at initial stages could mutate animal life and control it, at a maximum stage it could bring animals back to life. 
A rank up card was a gacha special, it could raise the rank of any prize by one or two ranks, so a Rare rank could be transformed in a Super-rare rank or above, a rank up could turn a common item in a magic item or change its properties.
The Shendu talisman pack was an object from a famous cartoon based on Jackie Chan, there were twelve in the total each one with a unique power. Jadis or the white witch was a character from the Narnia books series, a powerful sorceress and queen.
The Horned Blood Dragon, unlike its name suggested, was not a dragon, they were giant T-Rex mutated by radiation, they were big, aggressive, had poor sight and could shoot lasers, they were considered a giant middle finger to the humanity, they existed in the far cry world.
The moby morpher, again was an item from a cartoon world, called Xiaolin Showdown, it was a pair of armguards capable of completely change the shape and size to anything that the user chose, also gaining the abilities of the chosen form. Aside from changing the user's self, it also could change objects they chose to something else too.
Mortimer Folchat and Graham Decker were both fictional characters the first from a book and the other from an animation, Mortimer was a common human, with the capacity of reading out things and people out of books, Graham was a werewolf soldier that served in Iraqi.
The self-sustain ability, was very promising, as the name said with it the user could live without almost anything to live or nothing at all, this skill came in different levels, in the minor level, the user could live with the minimum food or water and sleep, in the average level the user could live without eating, breathing or sleeping by a certain time.
At the high level the user didn't need any food, water, oxygen or sleep, to maintain himself, at the perfect level, the user not only doesn't need anything but he gained the capability to live in any environment, by it a scorching desert or the freezing space.
Last but no away less important, the spartial farm, this ability came from a Chinese novel later turned in animation and then in a tv series, this skill created a "farming area", everything planted grew very fast, by bringing new items and, creatures to the Farm it level would go up, in higher levels new functions would appear, and when it reach a certain level it would become a small world.
The earnings of this travel were far better than he expected, there a few more years before the beginning of the series, it was time to slowly put his plans in motion.

A man dies and reincarnate in GOT world, luckly for him he has a gacha to count.

"Ah, Sister Zishan is here." Hong Dali instantly asked someone to get her a chair. Then, he said, "I'm planning to ask you to help me draw a dozen or so armor designs. Speaking of which, this fellow was a standard useless person, the type that wasn't good at anything.
His singing was off-key and out of tune, his studies were only passable and he basically didn't listen in class…
Even for drawing, he could only just barely draw an outline. It could only just be made out that it was a human with armor on him. Even his lackeys couldn't bear to watch his drawing. Young Master's drawing skill is really amazing, as awesome as always—since I can't tell what he is drawing anyway!
Almost half a day later[1], when everyone was already sweating profusely from watching his drawing, Hong Dali finally completed it—they could barely tell that it had a head, two elbows, and two legs. It actually looked quite cartoon-like…
This cartoon character wore a crooked set of armor, and they could roughly recognize the various pieces. Surprisingly, from the overall appearance, this drawing was still quite interesting…
"Dali, is this drawing of the future world's male cubicle symbol?" Tang Muxin asked.
"This…" Hong Dali angrily said, "I'm not telling you!"
"Hehe, your drawing really sucks!" Tang Muxin instantly laughed lovably and very happily. "I was just kidding. At least, I can tell that if we disregard this small person, the armor still seems quite unique."

Actually, this song that was adapted from the original "Pegasus's Dream" was still quite impassioning. However, once Hong Dali sang it, the feeling totally changed, it sounded like one-person crosstalk…
Luckily, at least Hong Dali managed to convey the feel of the song…
The crucial thing was the lyrics. Small children would definitely love it—since Saint Seiya didn't exist in this world anyway, no one would know what this song originally sounded like, right?
The stuff that Hong Dali adapted into was all quite down to earth. He changed the setting, plot, and everything. Just this cartoon alone included concepts from Saint Seiya, I Am MT and Iron Man. Combined with the background of Heavenly State, it was indeed awesome and cool!
Now that the main character and theme song were decided on, everyone laughed for quite a while before Tang Muxin grinned and asked, "Dali, you are really talented. Then, where should we film it at? And what characters are there in it, who is going to act them?"
"The venue?" Hong Dali touched his chin, thought for a while and said, "Just film it at the outer area of Tianjing Mountain. Since we are going to build a sci-fi city there anyway… I think we can just use the New Lanxiang school to film it. Yup, we can just build the golden temple of the 12 zodiacs there and dig a large lake in the center of the school. Next time, Big Turtle can just swim there, hehe." 
OK, looks like they could even save on the filming scene this time…

 “I can’t believe you abandoned your weapons to finish the battle with your fists, that’s tyrannical”. Henry kept on heaping praise on him. He finally smiled a little, which earned a burst of laughter from Emily. 

 “Hahaha, you only know when to smile when praises are heaped on you right?” She asked in a slight accusing tone. 

 “…,” Clark was left speechless. “Can’t you allow me to enjoy my glory for once,” he complained inwardly. He could only cough a little to hide his awkwardness, as black lines already covered his face. 

 … 

 For the rest of the day, talks of how the stranded dragon demolished the trickster kept being circulated. Clark didn’t know of all these, nor did he pay attention. As he already returned to his strict schedule of train, bath, eat and train again.

His and his friend’s 4th battle was without suspense, as they killed their opponents without suffering too many injuries. They made a little celebration, for making it to the last round of the gladiator battles. 

 After so long, he still could not create a technique as assurance for his battle against The Emperor. No matter how fast he won his battles, he was not ignorant nor arrogant enough to view The Emperor like the other gladiators. 

 This guy’s strength was the real deal. Forget about how he had a draw against Jian Wushaung, the man probably studied him thoroughly, and found a way to counter him. 

 During their little celebration, Emily suggested that they should project a movie that each of them liked in their tender years, for all of them to enjoy. She first suggested her best movie, which they watched together. 

 Henry followed after, suggesting his best movie also. When it finally came to his turn, he was suddenly at a loss for what to suggest. 

 He knew a lot of movies that he liked, but a best movie? That, he didn’t really know. As he saw the atmosphere becoming awkward, he just decided to suggest an animate cartoon that was adapted from one of his best novels, “The King’s Avatar”. After suggesting it, he suddenly started smiling as he felt like he made a good choice. 

 The first episode quickly started playing through his projection, as they all became engrossed in the cartoon. His whole mind was focused on the projection, as he didn’t want to miss a single detail. He had a habit of getting really annoyed, if he missed a single detail when watching a movie, even if it’s trash. 

 Henry ohhed and ahhed frequently, when a character in the cartoon performs a high-level skill. Emily was far calmer and more reserved, despite also being engrossed in the cartoon. 

 Woah!! He exclaimed again, as Ye Xiu’s Lord Grim comboed his opponent to death, the cartoon was just too attention grabbing. Their attention was fully on the projection, the high-quality projection also did a good job in improving their spectating experience. 

 Lord Grim was battling another opponent in the team competition, as his umbrella suddenly transformed into a shield blocking his opponent’s view. Boom!! He suddenly dodged to the side, as his teammate Soft Mist, controlled by Tang Rou arrived tyrannically with a dragon breaks the ranks skill. 

 As Clark saw the spear advancing forward unstoppably, he increased his concentration as he didn’t want to lose such an awesome moment. The magic waves emitting from the spear, was what added the cherry on top, as he immediately entered a unique state of mind. 

 His implant started working on overdrive, as he repeatedly simulated this action in his mind again, again and again. He became completely lost in his imagination, forgetting about the passage of time. 

 After an unknown amount of time, the episode was finally concluded. Emily and Henry, were gradually drawn out of their deeply engrossed state. 

 “Man, this cartoon is completely insane. I’m downloading it now on my implant, this is simply a masterpiece”. Henry blurted out excitedly, as he turned to face his friend. 

 “Clark…, CLARK,” he called with a yell the second time, as the expression on his friend’s face sent chills down his spine. 

 Emily finally turned to face Clark with an irritated expression due to the yell, she was also stunned completely on seeing him. 

 Clark didn’t hear Henry’s yell, as he was completely in his own world. A grin was on his face, while his eyes were closed. His current look was just like that of a mad man. 

 Well, if you call him a mad man now, he’ll just thank you with a smile. Because he just laid the most important foundation, to creating his self-created technique. 

 “CLARK!!” Henry yelled again, as he was finally startled awake this time. He slowly opened his eyes, the first thing that greeted his sight was his 2 friend’s faces, looking at him like he was mad. 

 He immediately understood, as he grinned on seeing this. He felt kind of funny, as this situation felt like a parable in the bible. He doesn’t read it much, but he still knew some famous lines from going to church when he was younger. 

 “They have eyes, but they cannot see. They have ears, but they cannot understand. They have brains, but they cannot comprehend” It was so on point. They watched the same cartoon, but he was the only one to comprehend deeply. 

 He finally explained what just happened to him, as Henry was almost pulling his hair out from waiting. 

 They were surprised, before jumping in heartfelt joy for him. Envy threatened to sprout, but they quickly suppressed it as their friend comprehended this, through his own ability. He was really happy, as he fully expressed his joy with them, by getting drunk. 

 “The King’s Avatar”, the novel was among his 2 best novels. But this was his first time, creating time to watch the animate cartoon. He just thanked his God, for deciding to watch it. 

 … 

 The next day, they woke up feeling fresh and excited. Emily and Henry made sure to leave, giving Clark a silent atmosphere to further study his new technique. 

 They were worried for him because of his next battle, against The Emperor. So, they were sincerely happy to know that he was creating a possible trump card now. They even felt kind of proud, as it was through their suggestion, that their friend get inspiration. 

 To be sincere, he was more worried about them. This critical stage, there was no weak candidates again. 

 Emily’s next opponent was of fairly the same strength as she was. But this is a competition, anything could happen. He was more worried about Henry, as according to past battle statistics, his opponent was stronger than he was. 

 After a week of learning and perfecting it, his self-created technique was finally kind of ready. He could not execute it physically yet, but he could do it through simulations in his implant. He still needed more practice, to perform it physically. 

 Now, the dilemma of a name finally came, as he thought of a name to give his new technique. 

 “The Dragon’s roar,” he suddenly had a thought. “Hmmm…, this is good, but people will think that it is an attack to restrain and control, not to directly attack”. 

 “What of Stranded Dragon’s blow. Shit, this is even more ridiculous than the first”. He could only blush in shame, at his lack of naming experience. 

 “Forget it, I guess I’ll just go with the name that Butterfly blue gave it”. He finally decided to settle for the original. 

 “Dragon breaks the ranks. Yeah…, this is it. The name alone can instigate terror in my opponents”. 

 “Well, I can always decide to adapt medieval Chinese culture by shouting out my moves before attacking. Maybe it will seem more intimidating so. This random thought is a decision for later, the best thing is that I’m ready. I’m ready to face the Emperor”. 

 Another decision he had to make, was his main weapon to use during battles. Dragon breaks the ranks, is a skill created for spear users. He didn’t want to desecrate it. “I guess I’ll change my main from a sword, to a spear,” he muttered. 

 This was not too hard. In his military training years, he was taught on how to use every weapon. He’ll just have to resume training, to master using a spear. 

 … 

 Bam!! Bam!! Poof!! Another boxing target burst, scattering into pieces as a sweat filled figure left for another boxing target. The Emperor was also training hard for this fight, against the Stranded Dragon. 

 After his draw with Jian Wushaung, he didn’t dare underestimate any of his opponents again. He was not afraid though, as he was absolutely confident that he could not be defeated. 

 This much training was just a precaution to guarantee his win. Unlike Clark, he is among the lunatics who came here willingly in complete trust of their strength to get the price. 

 Outside here, he is a mercenary who fight, kill, and protect if hired, as a source of income. He is an external member of one of the big 5, the Mercenary alliance. 

 The Mercenary alliance is the only organization, that it’s rules and restrictions are looser among the big 5. They accept outsiders who proved their strength, as external members who work for them as mercenaries and are paid. He doesn’t focus completely on being a mercenary alone, as he looks for unconventional means of income like this. 

 What is fueling his desire to look for money by any means, is his sister. When he was younger, a young man from Oakland once came to his town on a tour, with his entourage of soldiers. Unfortunately, his sister caught the man’s eye, so he took her with him without even blinking. 

 This is just a small example of the tyranny of the big 5. His sister was his only family member still alive, after his parent’s death, so he vowed to get her back. 

 This was what fueled his choice to train and become a mercenary. As the Mercenary alliance promised him that, they could get his sister back if he got enough money and mercenary contribution points. 

 The 5th round battles finally began after a whole month of preparation. The whole fleet was hyped up, as this is the final battles to decide the strongest 5 that survives.

Clark Pendragon was born into this cruel era where the ones with the biggest fist speak. After his parent's death, he enrolled in a cadet training course, where he graduated to become an exceptional Spartan soldier; the best in his batch. With the help of his country Sparta, his wife Sonia, and a lot of other factors Clark gradually fought his way to the peak of power as an elite grade soldier.
Join me as we witness Clark's legendary and meteoric rise to power, and how he'll conspire against and overthrow the rule of the big 5 to stabilize the world again.

Sorry it's been so long since the last update. I've been so busy researching for Son of Time to actually look into more nostalgic content. But this finally popped into my head while watching some Loony Tunes and Courage the Cowardly Dog. This will be a short one.

Let's get this out of the way. Not all cartoons can say they have cartoon logic to explain everything. Yes, most do have it. But not all, and definitely not the one responsible for making the term mainstream. At least, not from the correct use of the term. Think like this for the rest of the time you read. Cartoon Logic needs to be established within the cartoon series it appears in. Now, to the comparison that will likely break everything for this compilation.

So, we start with Courage the Cowardly Dog. This show is known for three things. Insane levels of horror for children, a dog capable of doing the impossible, and an elder couple who should not be together by any means (that last one was a joke, but you still see my point with the other two). The title of the show says the nature of how the show is meant to be perceived. A dog who is scared of everything and still has the courage to save those around him. Yet, since early in the time this show was being made we got to see something odd. Despite all the wacky stuff that happened, there were explanations within the show itself as to why they happen. In other words, we are told how logic works within the show. Yes, Courage the Cowardly Dog is one of the most insane shows from the early 2000s, but it showed how the logic works within the canon. As in, true cartoon logic.

I was watching Loony Tunes, and I noticed an odd thing. Comparing how the said "cartoon logic" works against other shows that I have watched, I realized Loony Tunes actually doesn't have cartoon logic. It's purely random occurrence and varies depending on who uses it. It's not cartoon logic because there is no real logical reasoning behind it. If one character could walk through a solid wall, then logic dictates the rest should as well. It's not really logic, but warped reality tailored to whatever the character chooses. Surprisingly, willpower seems to be an factor for this. Like the will of Roadrunner against Wily, would the hunter or hunted have a greater will when it comes to how much can be changed. The same with Bugs and the various characters he deals with.

I couldn't believe it when I decided to rewatch Space Jam that I noticed the exact nature of the warped reality the Loony Tunes live in. Anything they choose can happen, but another character can override their choice. I didn't know for sure until the famous Jordan Dunk from the movie. Jordan had no options in terms of reality. So, he "believed" he could do it and win. And the Loony Tunes own reality made it true. Again, it's not cartoon logic, but the basis that every Loony Tunes character can choose to rewrite reality in their favor. The greater the will of the character the greater the ability. This is why we see the villains first in each episode, because their will is overridden by the character they choose to chase. That's not cartoon logic, that's meta logic.

Now including all nostalgic series whether animated or not, this includes book, reality, video game, and even song-based theories. Anything goes now as long it was beforeor at five years ago.

Christian paused the anime that he is watching for a few hours. He took a deep breath before placing his mobile phone to the drawer besides his bed. He stares at the ceiling, observing the movement of the blades of the ceiling fan. The blades are spinning nonstop, unless the ceiling fan will be turned off. Just like in a movie, the story revolves on a particular character which is the protagonist. It will stop revolving once the movie ended. But sometimes, the audience tend to ignore the supporting characters as they were too focused on the protagonist. In a ceiling fan, we can only see its exterior which is the blade and the bracket. But the ceiling fan won't be a 'ceiling fan' without its interior parts, such as the motor and the wire. 

These random thoughts kept running in his mind. How he correlates the ceiling fan to a movie, it seems stupid. But it is his job after all. To write an interesting story that will caught not just the teenagers, but also different generations' interest. In order to produce a good movie, the reference story must be solid. A building must have a solid foundation to stand through different phenomenons. The plot, characters, setting, sequence of events, everything. Everything must be solid and strong. However, you need skills to create a good story. The creativity of words, the structure of each statements and of course, the grammar. Nowadays, grammar is big deal to teenagers. It seems like it is the standard of being intelligent. Also, you need an inspiration. As a writer, you need to identify your motives or intentions on writing. What inspires you to write, maybe your purpose on writing. It's important because it gives you encouragement whenever you are experiencing a writer's block. Lastly, you need to have experience. Those experiences are very important. Experiences may give you ideas about your story. Also, you may use your experience to improve the storyline. You just have to play with lines. 

A good story must be carefully made. It is somehow similar to a baby. It depends on the parent on how they will raise their baby. In a story, it depends on the author. 

Christian Simoune, a writer who is currently having a hard time thinking about a plot. It is very rare to see him struggle on writing a story. He produced a lot of stories, and those stories does have a movie. His penname, Toshiko Ryouta. 

Recently, his novel editor gave him three months of deadline to finish his story. It is for the novel prize award. Christian on the other hand, felt comfortable about it so he agreed. For the first week, he seems determined as he thought of a story plot. He even presented the plot story suggestion to his editor earlier than the planned date. But his editor said, "Cliché." So he discarded all his draft and think of a new plot. A month had passed, the deadline has come but he doesn't have anything to present. His editor is disappointed, and even mocked him. "Tan Enuo, not participating in the Novel prize award? Shame" His editor said in a teasing voice. Christian is disappointed to himself, and rushed. Two months and he still doesn't have a strong and concrete plot. 

Disappointing. He thought. 

Christian's editor asked him if he could still do it. Christian, being a prideful man says he could do it. But behind his direct statements, he is doubting himself. His editor left, giving Christian personal space. 

Christian took his phone to watch some movies for him to gain inspirations. He searched The Teenage Mutants, which is a cartoon. The main characters really caught his attention but at some point, he felt guilty. He is guilty that he gave the supporting characters less importance. Christian realized that the supporting character is like a ladder. A ladder that is used for climbing higher ends. 

Suddenly, Christian thought of something making him paused the cartoon he is watching. 

What is the life of an extra. 

Christian thought it was a good plot, so he immediately wrote it down and make a draft. He can't wait to share it to his co-workers, especially to his 'egoistic' editor. 

The next day, Christian is fully energized as he went to his workplace earlier than ever. The security guards greeted him, with a confused look on their face. "You seems early, Mr. Simoune."  One of the guards told him. "I'm just motivated." He replied ecstatically. The security guards gave him a worried look as he entered the elevator, pressing the his office floor button. 

When he entered the office, it's unusual that he is the only one inside. Well, it really is unusual when he is always late. Minutes had passed, his co-workers came one by one as they gave Christian a disbelief look. His editor finally came, and it is the signal that he should start sharing what he thought last night. 

Christian cleared his throat to get his co-workers attention. "I know it's unusual that I came early than everybody, but I thought of a plot." He said with a cheerful tone. His co-workers are exchanging looks, and his editor is surprised. They even joked that maybe he is sick or something. He rolled his eyes as he continues his announcement. "It's about the life of an extra." He said with full of pride. His co-workers on the other hand, couldn't understand what Christian meant by his statement. "Would you expound it for us?" One of his co-workers said. 

"A movie always includes: protagonist, antagonist and the supporting characters. Usually, the director put depth on the protagonist's story. Sometimes, the back story of the antagonist, of why did they turned to be the bad guy. It sounds cliché, doesn't it? Unfortunately, the watchers tend to not give importance to the supporting roles." Christian paused for a while to catch his breath. "What if we take a closer look on their story." He continued. 

His co-workers looked at him, and they seemed amused. Christian could hear his co-workers laughing and whispering. He felt disappointed because he thought it was a great idea. But, he heard someone speaking from his back. "Doesn't the story makes the supporting character the protagonist? I mean it really depends on the author." His editor spoke. It made him unease and confused. He couldn't seem to understand what his editor means. But a phrase popped up on his mind.

Christian Simoune, a famous author.  Throughout his journey, he faced a lot of challenges. Unfortunately, He tends to feel burned-out writing because of those challenges. As time passes by, he experienced unusual events.  Will it help him reach his goals despite of the challenges he is facing?

But after a long time, His journey reached to an end. Is he happy? Is he satisfied? But the important question is, 

"Did he reached his goal?"

Kyle and his mother were so moved by their reunion. Kyle's siblings sensed something strange was going on so they went to the front door. There they saw their big brother!
"Kyle!" Mini, his sister, yelled. She ran to him as quickly as she could and tore him from his mother's embrace and gave him a big hug. Kevin and Carter were also excited and bounced around.
They weren't as interested in giving hugs; they mostly tried to tackle their brother. It was boyish affection. Kyle wrestled with his little brothers in front of the door.
His mother finally brought him inside to continue celebrating.
"Alright, it's a special night, what do you want for dinner tonight Kyle?" his mother asked him.
"Pizza," Carter said.
"Pizza," Kevin said.
Kyle laughed at his brothers.
"I don't want pizza, I want hamburgers, ice cream, Dr. Thunderpantz, and some Sniggers," Kyle said as he laughed.
"My goodness, did they starve you in there?" Kyle's mother asked.
"The diet was very strict. They had to heal my body to help me control my strength. That takes a lot of discipline," Kyle answered his mother.
"Are you better? Did they succeed? Can you control your powers now?" She asked.
"Yeah, everything went great. I even got stronger inside," Kyle laughed.
"Stronger? Is that unusual," she asked worriedly.
"Nah, the Center is really good at helping people get stronger. I'll just need to go back for checkups and whatnot. Dr. Yu said he would contact you about all of that," Kyle ended the conversation and play with his brothers.
Kyle's mother left and went to the grocery store his Kyle's sister, Mini. Mini loved going to the store and felt extra grownup whenever she felt like she was making a sacrifice for the greater good.
In this case, she gave up the chance to play with her big brother who she missed. She figured Kyle could play with their brothers and make them happy; while she and their mother bought dinner and treats.
A little over an hour later, Mini and their mother returned with bags filled with treats and candy. They also had Joe Joe Burgers for everyone. Each of the boys received a Little Joe Meal with a toy.
The toy for the meal was one of six possible action figures featuring one of the team members from El Escuadrón Invencible (The Invincible Squadron), a group of real-life teenage superheroes.
Both boys got Ojo de Aguila (Eagle Eye) as their figure. They asked if they could exchange one of the Ojo de Aquila for a different character, but were informed he was the only one they had in stock.
It was really hard to collect all six figures, the boys explained repeatedly to whoever would listen, even not listening was fine. There were just a few of one character but lots of others.
Ojo De Aquila was plentiful and the boys already had three of him. They had four, but the fourth one met an unfortunate end involving a microwave.
The microwave also died as a result of its injuries sustained during the great battle.
Kyle got a Big Joe Greedy Rancher Burger with XXXL Fries and XXXL Dr. Thunderpantz. Mini bought a Lady Joe Birdwhich (mini chicken sandwich) with an sm Fry and sm Dr. Thunderpantz.
Momma Kane got a regular Hungry Joe Burger which was made for those on a diet. It came with a breadless hamburger, carrots, and mineral water.
Kyle really wanted to watch a movie during dinner, so the family watched a comedy Kyle hadn't seen yet, "Anywhere but Here," a typical RomCom style movie starring Ford Fetch.

It was a great movie and Kyle felt really relaxed and happy. They watched a second movie while scarfing down treats and finally everyone went to bed.
The next day, Kyle woke up around noon. It wasn't a big deal because of spring break. His plan for the break was to mostly lay around.
He also felt he would like to create a new costume for his return to school. Maybe he would also create a new school uniform.
He really enjoyed crafting and creating formations. To him, there was nothing more peaceful than the creation of a set of armor and weapons.
The rest of the family were normal people. Kyle was the only super kid in the family. He had always worried about the safety of his family in the past. Now that he could create artifacts with formations he could create things to protect them.
Whatever he created for them would need to be low key enough that no one came to his door or the Center to force them to hand over their secrets.
Whatever he made, it needed to be something his family would always keep on them no matter what. It also needed to be able to protect them.
One of the things Lady Gilgaba and Mr. Davenport taught him was to always consider the personality and needs of the customer.
The easiest thing for him to do was grab something they already kept on them all the time. Keven and Carter both had power watches.
The Power Watch would record a brief phrase and play it back in one of six cool voices. From Cyborg Warlord to goofy cartoon character the power of imagination was in your hands!
At least, that's what the ad said. He added a protective formation to their watches. Unless they were in a life-threatening situation, they would never realize it was there.
Mini always wore pink sunglasses. He added the protective formation to that, but since she was older and grown-up; he added the telescopic, microscopic, and thermoscopic options to the glasses. He made her promise not to tell anyone. She loved them!
For his mother, he created set of jewelry that could have three styles. They would not only protect her but also add a little extra energy to her body when she got tired.
She was really impressed with the gifts. He told her he learned a lot of neat tricks at the Center, but she shouldn't tell anyone since it was a secret.
This was how he spent his spring break. Sleeping, playing, eating, and making fun things. The next day he would return to his school, Dallas Intercessor Academy.
He was nervous but also looking forward to it. He couldn't wait to see Ryan.

It's not so easy to make it as a superhero these days. In the golden age of heroes, it didn't matter what kind of ability you had. 

If you had an ability, dressed up in bright colors, and came up with a crazy name; you had it made. You were a hero. 
The world isn't so simple anymore. Kyle Kane is finding life as a teenage superhero to be worse than a pimple on prom night. 

Eliminated from his team and forced into normal classes, Kyle's F class powers have doomed him to harassment and mediocrity.  Then one day, he gets a cranky message from a system. "I'm your system, congratulations, blah blah blah."

Is this Kyle's chance or just another new way to be humiliated?

Ben 10 is a show near and dear to my heart.

With humble beginnings on Cartoon Network in 2006, I watched the series premiere one night and have been hooked ever since.

The series was about an ordinary 10 year old boy who discovers an alien device called the omnitrix, that allows him to transform into ten different alien species.

Each with their own superpowers that he can use to fight crime.

It's had a complicated history since then, becoming a massive franchise and going through a lot of different iterations and reinventions.

But for now, let me go back to the very beginning and outline what made this show resonate with kids like me so much, and why I think it's one of the most enduring and successful superhero franchises to not bear the mark of Marvel and DC.

In short, I believe the answer is, Ben 10 is the best superhero that didn't come from comic books.

The show had everything it needed to be a perfect superhero story.

This series gave us as kids so much to get excited for back in the day.

Explosive stories, giant monsters, crazy worldbuilding and lore…

And of course, some of the most badass fight scenes for a kid's cartoon.

They really beat each other's asses in this show.

But it wasn't just violence and monsters, this show had a lot of heart and creativity that kids really respond to.

Starting with a really unique story that unfolds in an interesting way.

Season 1 had a really great origin arc, where our hero, Ben Tennyson, get his hands on some super powers during summer vacation, with his cousin and his Grandpa on a cross-country road trip.

Ben Tennyson is a brash, hot headed, overconfident kid with a bratty sense of humor.

But deep down, he's actually very noble and willing to heroically stand up for the little guy.

First chapter, when Ben faced the bullies of his school, really reminded me how kid Midoriya faced kid Bakugou.

His cousin Gwen is bookish, responsible and self-reliant. 

And their conflicting personalities lead them to argue a lot, because… you know, that's what kids do.

Their banter always struck me as endearing, having grown up within a similar sibling relation, and it was nice seeing them eventually getting along.

Their Grandpa, Max Tennyson, is just a wholesome sweet guy that's intelligent, well traveled and likes nature.

He's got a real uncle Ben/Iroh feel for him, being the kind of parental figure that you'd never want to disappoint.

During a freak accident where a pod from space permanently attaches a piece of alien technology to his wrist.

'Holding the key to a power struggle so ancient, so vast, that is is beyond our feeble comprehension.'

Ben gets the ability to turn into various extraterrestrial monsters and causes chaos while being attacked by bad guys from earth and space.

It's on the theme song, you know how it goes.

Instantly it seems like Grandpa Max knows more than he's letting on, but the series let that simmer for a few episodes as it expands on its story.

With time we learned that the watch ended up on earth because it was being kept away from an alien warlord who looks oddly similar to the bad guy from Megas XRL (Cthulhu adjacent, but that was before Dagon), known as Vilgax.

He wants to use the device's power to take over the universe, but in chasing it he got a little messed up and couldn't retrieve it directly yet.

That gave Ben time to discover all 10 alien forms in the watch and stop some more low stakes super crime.

But when Vilgax finally steps in, he's a really imposing and badass villain.

And as overpowered Ben may have seemed at the time, he was still pretty outclassed against this tall angry squidward.

After a crazy season one finale, we discovered Grandpa Max's secret past as an alien hunting superhero of sorts that has protected earth with advanced weaponry for decades.

His organization, which reminded me a lot of the Man in Black, was codenamed 'The Plumbers'.

…

Because why not.

Back to Max, he was actually Vilgax's old nemesis and the two of them battled ages ago when Vilgax's fashion sense was a little more rocky horror picture show than his current attire.

I guess it was big at the time.

Grandpa Max's alien belt notches also apparently rival that of the great Captain Kirk or Commander Shepard.

Who would have thought? 

A stand out feature of this show was the voice acting, for both the English and the Brazilian Portuguese versions.

I loved the voices for all the aliens, each classic alien had so much personality to its design and powers.

Every kid on the block wanted the Omnitrix for themselves and would argue about which alien transformation was the best one, or which one they wanted an action figure the most.

I remember my friend was more of a Heatblast kind of guy, but I was partial to XRL8.

Everyone would have their favorite and each one could be useful.

Even Ripjaws!

I never understood why the series insisted on trashing him as an inconvenient transformation to raise the stakes. 

I guess Brainstorm got really lucky that the omnitrix provided a respiratory bracer for him.

Anyway, Ben's powers were so interesting because he basically had every super power, granted with some limitations for each transformation to balance things out.

Much like any good superhero, Ben even had a built-in weakness to keep things interesting.

His watch had a timer on it that runs out after he's been transformed for 10 minutes.

Well, 10 minutes in canon, but for the sake of compressing time for a 22 minute cartoon, it actually runs on the same timetable as how long it takes Spider-Man to run out of webs which is exactly as long as writers want until the precise moment when it's most inconvenient and dramatically exciting.

Ben also had a habit of tampering with the thing because he was irresponsible and kind of a Bart Simpson type, so it was a running gag that he was in possession of the most dangerous technology in the universe and sometimes he just smashes it against the wall or jams a screwdriver into it or uses it to break walnuts or whatever, causing the watch to work improperly by not turning into the alien he selected.

Or just glitch out and not let him change back to a human for an extended period of time.

That gives a nice bit of added tension because sometimes we think one guy is the obvious solution to a problem, only for the watch to give him another, forcing him to figure out how to make due with that instead.

Showing how resourceful he could be in a pinch.

And for all his trash talk, he's actually pretty smart.

He's a cool character once you look past all his surface level attitude problems.

Along the way, his constant button smashing allows him to unlock additional aliens to turn into, with some cool new powers and gimmicks, meaning there's a lot more than ten in there.

More like, thousands upon thousands.

He also met a few good guys aliens to help him grow as a character, like an alien mercenary named Tetrax.

He taught Ben how to use some more clever tactics and to think his way through a fight more often, instead of just turning into muscular guys over and over.

We even met the sarcastic little alien scientist who built the watch in the show's first TV movie.

The creator, Azimuth, explained that it wasn't a weapon for war, but a tool to create understanding and racial peace between alien cultures across the universe by allowing species to walk a mile in each other's shoes.

It's a pretty heavy concept for a kids show, feels like more of an idea out of a random Star Trek episode.

I loved that the show didn't pull punches on something nuanced like that.

So, with the reveal of their Grandpa's secret past and pretty much all there was to know about the Omnitrix and the various criminal entities in the universe who want to get their hands on it.

The show opens up so much more in season two.

I'd also like to take time to highlight how much I love this show's other greatest villain.

Kevin Ethan Levin.

I see what they did there.

The name is a little on the nose, but if Vilgax was Kingpin, then this kid is the Venom of this show.

He's a vandal punk kid that lives on the streets with super powers of his own, the ability to absorb and expel energy like a human battery.

Ben runs into him and they become fast friends using their powers to act like a couple of schmucks and perform some old-fashioned b and e to get an unreleased video game before outrunning the cops.

But Kevin turns out to be a little bit of a loose cannon and wants to start using their powers for more extreme crimes than stealing video games.

Him and Ben battle it out, and we discover that Kevin can use his powers to absorb the energy from the Omnitrix and take on some of Ben's powers.

He's a morally bankrupt dark reflection of our hero.

After multiple battles with Kevin mimicking Ben's aliens before he goes too far and becomes this hodgepodge of all of them. 

I did enjoy the episode on the second season where they both got stuck in an alien gladiator arena with an electric shock button attached to them and they have to work together to escape.

Basically Planet Hulk.

The other strongest villain characters would have to be Dr Animo and Charmcaster.

One's a mad scientist that uses animal DNA to create giant monsters and the other is a young sorcererss that's trying to live up to her uncle's name as a magic villain.

I typically don't care for the human villain in this type of series, but these two stand out a lot more than one would have expected.

Unfortunately, I couldn't say the same about the Forever Knights.

Kinda like an evil version of the plumbers that wanted to hunt and experiment on all aliens.

Their concept was really cool to me, but I always felt they were terribly misused in the series, serving more of an excuse to have stormtrooper type bad guys that Ben could just punch a thousand of.

Season two ended with a banger of an episode where Vilgax and Kevin team up to kill Ben, but he had accidentally turned off all the restrictions on the watch and he could change into any of the aliens with a thought for however long he wants.

It was awesome to see him really let loose to keep up with his two greatest enemies, and ended up ditching them in an alternate universe called the Null Void, that Grandpa Max used to drop dangerous alien criminals into.

Kinda like a variation of the phantom zone and negative zone from Dc and Marvel.

Season three and four afterwards felt a little directionless to me with the two main villains gone, and they just spent the next few episodes just roaming around the continental US writing wrongs and fighting random smaller antagonists, but the majority of them aren't as interesting as Darth Cthulhu and Chimera alien.

The exception probably being Ghostfreak.

He is pretty cool initially, but other than that, not a whole lot of important stuff happens for the last two seasons.

The series continued to introduce more and more transformations, and even though I initially liked them, they now felt like initial symptoms of the disease that would allow a gorilla made of lego to join the list of Ben's transformation.

Back then the series also didn't really know what to do with Gwen back then.

To keep her from feeling like too much of a sidekick they made up that she began learning magic from a spell book she pilfered from Charmcaster.

This choice initially felt a little out of place in a show that was so heavily steeped in Sci-fi and it gave some people the sense that the creators just threw it in to give her something to do during the fight scenes since everyone else was so proactive.

It wasn't the worst idea in the world, and it's paid off in the later shows very well.

On a side note, their summer road trip felt like it had lasted way longer than three months.

In fact, I believe this is the second longest cartoon summer vacation after Phineas and Ferb.

The last two seasons didn't invest me so much on the villains, but I did enjoy the smaller one offs episodes that feel more slice of life.

Couple examples…

Ben's older cousin, another member of the plumbers, marries an alien from a race that humans had been at war with for decades.

There was this interesting family rivalry where everyone wants to stop the wedding and Ben has to make sure it happens to form a bond of peace with these two species.

There's also a really neat episode where Ben and Gwen were taken into a possible future, where Ben had become the greatest superhero in the universe by the time he's 30. 

But as a result of doing this for so long he's become jaded and serious, never leaving his alien forms.

But meeting his younger self gives him a reality check and helps him learn to have some fun and appreciate his human half once again.

It even inadvertently criticizes its future reboot with an episode were Ben's aliens had been turned into super lame and cartoonish characters of a TV show.

Season three and four reminded me of the last few issues of a really great comic run after the writer has finished his main overarching story and just spends a little extra time with the characters doing smaller things for another 5-10 issues before the new writer steps in to mix things up.

This show definitely has the fingerprints of comic industry writers all over it like that.

It even has a few alternative universes of 'what if' episodes, where Gwen gets the watch in an alternate timeline, or a story where Ben's parents find out about his powers after the summer ends.

As with any other long-running story, it's fun to go back to the earliest stuff and look at it with the perspective of future context.

Like understanding that Gwen powers came from the genes she inherited from her alien grandma, who's a being of pure energy that can warp reality with her thoughts.

Making her kind of a goddess.

Eventually the show winds down with an hour-long special, where he faces off against ten of his human antagonists from throughout the show as a nice little closer.

And there was also a live action TV movie I that unfortunately didn't aged well to me, with its confusing story and low budget effects.

Ben 10 was a great series that got my imagination really flowing as a kid because it was so good at thinking outside of the box and doing something unique, but still very classic for a superhero show.

It has all the hallmarks of a great comic book character without ever being based on a comic book.

It's a great mix of original ideas and taking inspiration from other sources to make something fresh but still pleasantly familiar.

Ben as a character is great because he's relatable for kids, but even at that age his flaws are still identifiable and it was inspiring to see him overcome them and grow past them through the course of the series.

He was a character that taught us that brains could beat brawn, that you should do the right thing even with nearly infinite power and that family was just as powerful as that.

Much like Ben itself, it wasn't a perfect show.

But it stuck with me and became something that I could see a bit of myself in and inspired me.

That's the definition of a superhero in my book.

But what if someone less good hearted took Ben's place?

Someone with foreknowledge in regards to the original story that would certainly take advantage of that.

Well, let me put my cards on the table.

Somehow, I, the most random person in the world, woke up in Benjamin Kirby Tennyson's body a few days after his birth.

You know the story.

Ten-year-old Ben Tennyson, his ten-year-old paternal first-cousin Gwen, and their paternal Grandpa Max start their summer camping trip. 

Ben goes stomping off into the woods after another fight with Gwen, whom he is not happy to have along on the trip, and is almost crushed when a meteor crash lands, only to discover it’s an alien cargo pod. 

When he examines it, he finds a mysterious, watch-like device, called the Omnitrix. 

As Ben reaches inside the pod for it, the device attached permanently to his wrist and gives him the ability to transform into a numerous variety of alien life-forms, each with their own unique powers and abilities. 

Although Ben realizes that he has a responsibility to help and save others with these new abilities at his disposal, he is not above a little ten-year-old super-powered mischief now and then. 

Along with Gwen and Max, Ben embarks on an adventure to fight evil, both extraterrestrial and earthly. 

But what if someone else finds himself in Ben's place?

Someone who has a different personality from the original superhero, not afraid of dirtying his hands seeking to satisfy his endless ambition.

At the office of Bai Muchuan.
When Xiang Wan entered the office, his laptop was on; his eyebrows furrowed in thought as he read her analysis.
Xiang Wan tilted her head. "I'm here."
Bai Muchuan waved at her when he saw her waiting at the door.
"Come over here!"
He sounded businesslike.
Mm, that's good.
Xiang Wan actually felt relieved, and she sat before him.
"What do you think about my analysis?"
"Very good." Bai Muchuan nodded.
"In what way is it good?" Xiang Wan's eyes lit up and looked at him without batting an eyelid.
"Well…" Bai Muchuan propped his forehead and saw her little expression that was waiting for his praise. "You're very naughty."
"…"
"You're naughtier than any of the profilers out there!"
Uh! Xiang Wan pouted. "But you think it's good?"
Bai Muchuan raised his eyebrows. "Simple and easy to understand!"
She did the profiling report with a lot of effort.
Besides a detailed personality analysis, there was also the motivation analysis, character relationship chart, details and mind maps. She even matched every character with a cartoon avatar.
Bai Muchuan covered his face then rubbed his hands together with a half-smile.
"After looking at the accompanying pictures, I suddenly realized…"
He paused.
Xiang Wan's eyes opened wide. "What?"
"When these people get a cartoon avatar," Bai Muchuan smiled. "Each and every one of them becomes adorable."
Xiang Wan rolled her eyes at his remark. "What kind of look are you giving me? These avatars are clearly ferocious! How can they be adorable?"
Bai Muchuan waved his hands to let her sit nearer and pointed at the screen. "Just look, aren't these ferocious avatars adorable?"
Xiang Wan glanced at his side profile, pouted, and refused to admit it.
"What are you looking at me like that? It's ferocious alright?"
"Ferocious? It's comical to me. What should I do?"
Xiang Wan observed his expression.
There wasn't any exaggeration in them, and she looked down in dejection.
"… Alright, I'll redo that. Aye, I actually wanted to give you a surprise when I used the cartoon avatars."
"I'm really surprised." Bai Muchuan smiled at her and pointed at his own head. "Looking at a report like this is not boring but even refreshes my head!"
Xiang Wan gave him another scrutinizing look.
Bai Muchuan touched her cheeks while he chuckled. "Silly girl, I mean it."
Huff! Xiang Wan felt relieved. "You scared me. Fine, continue to give me feedback then. Is there anything else about the report?"
Bai Muchuan looked at the report while nodding. "You're very thoughtful. The report is very constructive!" 
Before Xiang Wan wrote her analysis, she had received the information relating to the case. Prior to sending the report via email to Bai Muchuan, she had also read the autopsy report in detail.
First, she concurred with Bai Muchuan's thought that the four cases involving the "zombie" drug were just a part of Operation Heaven's Wrath. The foreign forces that were in cahoots with the Dark Clan, supplied the Dark Clan the newly developed drug that could cause widespread panic—which was probably their aim.
The thing to note here was that the drug was new.
This was because it was not the usual "bath salts" that they knew of, the composition of the drug was different.
Regarding that, the forensics team even did a detailed report on it.
Xiang Wan's point of focus was the fourth "zombie" case.
Which was Xuan Yue's case.
She had thought that the case might have been similar to the first three, but with obvious differences.
Hu Bandao and the other two victims met very skillful perpetrators since they directly bit the victims' throat at the critical spot that took them out directly. Although the perpetrators knew nothing about their actions, it was a fact that they had killed someone in one bite with precision. The only exception was Shiliu's attempt to kill Xuan Yue since it didn't conform with the other cases regarding this aspect. Even if Xuan Yue was very alert, there were still doubtful areas that seemed illogical.
The first point: Why didn't Shiliu attack when the movie was showing?
Why did she only attack when the movie had ended and both of them were walking down the stairs to leave the theater?
The second point: In the first three cases, when the killing took place, the movie was still showing. Hence, the theater was dimly lit. That factor attributed to the fact that the surveillance footage was not clear at all. Because of such vagueness, it was more likely to create a panic effect psychologically in people's minds…
Xuan Yue's case differed greatly from the previous three cases.
When the movie ended, the lights came on and the surveillance camera filmed the entire attack bright and clear.
It felt like… it was a deliberate effort to leave behind some evidence.
The third point: The huge deviation between the fourth case from the previous cases.
In the first three cases, the perpetrators caused the direct death of the victims and all three perpetrators survived.
Whereas in the fourth case, Shiliu only made a wound of a row of teeth marks that weren't too deep on Xuan Yue's neck.
"When we look at this case from another perspective, the real outcome of the fourth case was—Xuan Yue caused Shiliu's death by pushing her down the stairs.
"That is the most ingenious part of this case because of the existence of the first three cases; Xuan Yue would be free from the suspect of excessive self-defense and need not bear any legal responsibility. She was naturally treated as the victim and the best part was that it wouldn't arouse suspicions from others…"
Xiang Wan expounded her opinion about the case.
She then added another sentence. "I feel that there's a problem with Xuan Yue."
Bai Muchuan's silence made Xiang Wan frown with uneasiness.
"Hey, tell me how you feel about this? I feel so nervous when you stay silent."
"…" Bai Muchuan pursed his lips slightly while he looked at her.
Xiang Wan felt that he had declared her report "dead".
She shook him a little. "Hey, Bai Muchuan?"
Bai Muchuan looked at her sternly when he suddenly grunted a laugh and pinched her nose.
"You've done very well. I suddenly thought of something too."
"What is it? Discuss it with me."
"About Operation Heaven's Wrath and the mastermind behind this; everyone focused their attention on men and felt that only those strong and healthy men would dare to do such things. They neglected women… that when women do bad things, they would not lose to men at all."
Xiang Wan shot a sidelong glance at him. "What made you think that way?"
"I thought of it when I saw you."

Xiang Wan felt amused and a little annoyed at the same time. "So you actually think I'm… cruel?"
"You are!" Bai Muchuan then teased, "You stole my heart and refused to return it."

Hmph! Xiang Wan let out a snort, made a face, and tilted her head to look at him.
"Fine, what are you going to do next?"
"This girl Xuan Yue," said Bai Muchuan, "There's something about her. I'll get them to investigate her right away!"
Previously, when Xuan Yue felt that her life was being threatened, they had actually done an investigation on her. However, they had treated her as a victim with protection in mind and did not thoroughly investigate her like a suspect
Xiang Wan huffed a sigh of relief. "So I didn't work for nothing, right?"
"Mm." Bai Muchuan smiled. "Little Xiang Wan, you've done well."
"Great! I can relax for now."

Serious Crime Division One.
Xiang Wan actually felt highly pressured to work in Serious Crime Division One.
She was worried that she would be of no use to their work.
If she could be of help to Bai Muchuan, no matter how trivial her job was, it would thrill her to do it nonetheless.
"Thank you, Sir!"
Xiang Wan gave Bai Muchuan a salute mischievously and left the office in a cheerful mood.
However…
She was still smiling when she saw Cheng Xin along the corridor.
Cheng Xin was carrying a large stack of documents; she wore her uniform that day and wriggled her hips as she walked. It seemed that she was going to Bai Muchuan's office.
… What a small world.
Xiang Wan smiled and walked a little faster.
Cheng Xin took a quick glance at her face.
Xiang Wan's cheerful appearance was an eyesore to her.
Hence, when she walked past Xiang Wan, Cheng Xin's shoulder suddenly tilted to one side…
Before Cheng Xin could come crashing down on her, Xiang Wan quickly hugged her along with the pile of documents in that split second without even thinking.
The hug was tight and steady; she couldn't move freely at all.
Cheng Xin did not know what to say. "…"
After being in a daze for two seconds, she finally let out an unhappy snort.
"What are you trying to do?"
"I'm helping you protect the documents! You nearly fell down just now! If something were to happen to these documents, I'm worried that you might receive a punishment again."
Cheng Xin once again fell into silence. "…"


Aspiring author Xiang Wan was deemed hopeless by her family and better off married when her fourth novel still did not do well. 
Just as she started to doubt herself and wonder if she should continue to pursue her dream as an author, things take an unexpected turn when a dazzling guy appears before her and she was taken away by the police as a prime suspect of a murder case.
A murder had taken place and the details were eerily similar to her mystery novel. 
From then on, her life turned topsy-turvy.

Translator Review:
This is a novel encompassed with mystery, ethics, family ties, and romance. Of course, the highlights of this book are the murder cases. 
Although it’s a modern setup where none of the characters have a system or any other cheats, the Author managed to delight me with her writing, creative plots and a good pace without dragging her story. 
I marvel at the way the Author links up the clues and plot to explain the individual cases as well as paving the way to unravel the huge conspiracy behind the individual murders. Romantic plots are light-hearted so readers could take a breather from the plots of gruesome murders.
