I: LOCATION - where to find Mr. RIGHT?



1. The GYM - before anything else lets begin with the OPLAN BALIK ALINDOG paano ka makakahanap ng ka-date kung walang alindog? At habang abala ka magpa-sexy at magpaganda samantalahing ang pagkakataon na maghanap ng potential boyfriend. Kung hindi niyo naitatanong madami ang naglipanang Fafa sa GYM. Malaking ang chance at possibility na makita si Mr. RIGHT.  Aside from physically fit, eh health conscious pa. Oha! Double purpose.

Habang abalang-abala sa  paggawa ng checklist si Jo, little did she know that Alex was behind her. He is watching her the entire time, curious and wondering why she is so fixated and focused on what she is doing.



Alex was a close friend of Jo since college. They graduated in the same school and now working in the same company. Dahil dala ng sobrang ka-chismosohan hindi niya maiwasan ang hindi magtanong kung ano ba talaga ang pinagkakaabalahan ng kaibigan.



"Uy, bising-bisi ah. Ano yan?" pilit na sinisilip ni Alex ang notebook kung saan sinusulat ni Jo ang kaniyang checklist.



 "Andiyan ka pala," gulat na sagot ni Jo. Sabay pasimpleng tinakpan ang notebook ng ibang dokumento sa trabaho.



"Anong  list iyong Big"O", bagong event ba natin 'yan?" kunot noong nagtanong si Alex habang pilit pa rin sinisilip ang tinagong notebook.



"Bagong project ko," iritang sagot ni Jo. Mabilis naman nakahalata si Alex sa kaibigan kaya minabuti na lang niya tapusin ang usapan.



"Ayos  iyan bagong raket! Sige pagbutihan mo at  inform mo na lang ako kung kailan natin sisimulan. Let me know if you need my help, since tapos na ako sa last project assignment ko," nakangiting sinabi ni Alex sabay kindat niya kay Jo.



Then Alex left and went back to his office table. Meanwhile, back to the checklist. Since she already finished the list for the places where she can find her potential date, the first part of the plan was now completed.  She then now proceed with the next part of the checklist.



II: THE TO DO LIST.. these are the possible things you need to consider when on a DATE...



1. The Looks -  the most essential part of preparing the looks is the hair sabi nga nila ito ang crowning glory ng mga babae. Lakas maka-mukhang mayaman kung nakapagpa-rebond ka ng buhok. 2. The Attire - next thing to consider is the attire. Of course you need to choose the appropriate clothes depending on the occasion. Mahirap naman na mag heels ka kung mag-mountain climbing ka or naka-corporate look naman kapag nasa beach.. It's a no no!



3. The Menu - while on a date, as much as possible iwasan ang pag-order ng pagkain na kinakailangang mag-kamay and avoid eating raw onions, garlic, seafood and anything with a strong smell or malalansang pagkain. You may never know when you will have your first kiss so always be prepared.



4. DATING KIT -  and speaking of being prepared, you must have a Dating Kit for dummies. It consist of toothbrush, toothpaste, lipstick and foundation for make up re-touch, brush or comb in case mahangin sa labas or mapasabak sa labanan, perfume or cologne, a box of condom. Well, it is better to be safe than sorry and emergency contact number.

III: PREPARATION FOR THE BIG "O". It's like playing baseball, you have to hit the ball then run through all the bases..



1. First base - kissing -  there are different categories of kisses. Kiss on the forehead sign of respect, kiss on the cheeks sign of friendship and kiss on lips sign of love or lust . Of course there are types of kiss on lips...for starter is the smack a short gentle kiss.. dampi lang muna, applicable sa first date. 2. Second base - is direct physical contact on the upper portion of the body. It also includes other forms of petting, touching and groping. Papisil-pisil at patapik-tapik. Kung libre ang tsansing dapat lubisin at itodo na! 



3. Third base - may include manual or oral sex for either partner. Also known as otso-otso, you 8 him and she 8 you! 



4. Home run -  is also known as the sexual intercourse or the BIG "O".

This is the story of Josefina 39, late bloomer. Never been touched. Never been kissed and her quest in finding the BIG "O" or should I say the Big OoooHhhhh... The one who came in first was Qiu Zhigao, Old Qiu. At 1.75 meters, he was about the same height as Lou Cheng, but was sturdy with hard muscles, and was enthusiastic about showing off his body and strength in the dorm. He was also as a member of the Martial Arts Club. He had never received any standard martial arts training, and thus he simply relied on his excellent physical condition to reach Amateur Sixth Pin, being just a little below Cai Zongming.
He was not a rude or uncivilized person, being straightforward and amiable instead. He had no serious flaws, except for his craving for dirty movies. What's more, he was sensible enough to realize that it was impossible for him to have a bright future only through martial arts as he was still in the rank of Amateur Sixth Pin after his entrance to the university. Therefore, he devoted himself to study and was even absent from the Welcome Party of the Martial Arts Club.
"Cheng, what did they say at the orientation? What time are the weekly drills? When can we use the strength training gymnasium?" At the sight of Lou Cheng, Qiu Zhigao rattled off questions one after the other, asking about what issues had been covered at the afternoon's orientation.
Taken back, Lou Cheng answered, "I left a little early and didn't hear it. We can ask someone else later."
Since he'd run into that major event earlier, Lou Cheng had forgotten his previous plan and didn't chat with Yan Zheke!
"It would be better for you to stay put." This was said by the second person to come in, Zhao Qiang, who was the dorm leader, a "leading example" and a studying maniac who had a medium height and muscular stature, bushy eyebrows and large eyes. His hard work and self-discipline toward his studies had left a deep impression on Lou Cheng.
"Indeed. Who knew that the orientation for the Martial Arts Club would be so boring." Lou Cheng didn't dare mention the greatest reward he received for attending the orientation: Yan Zheke's QQ number. He changed the subject intentionally, "Qiang, what were you guys talking about a second ago?"
Zhao Qiang answered thoughtfully, "Old Qiu and Model Worker found a phone number on the desk of the self-study room saying that the girl's dorm was looking for a social meetup. I told them to ignore it and focus on studying."
Model Worker was the last member of the dorm, Zhang Jingye, who came from the northwest and had a calm disposition. Despite his good looks when he'd been younger, there were bumps and hollows on his face due to constant exposure to fierce winds and sandstorms, and he thus turned out less handsome than before.
Following behind Zhao Qiang, Zhang Jingye said with a smile, "Was it because our dorm doesn't have any suitable social meetup partners?"
"Sigh, youth is the time of raging hormones. The honest ones, like Model Worker and Old Qiu, can't always control themselves," said Zhao Qiang, while shaking his head and sighing. Then, he dropped his school bag and started sorting out the books.
With a serenity beyond his years, Lou Cheng digested all of the emotions brought on by the Jindan and said, "A girls dormitory phone number carved inside the study room? Could this be a prank, or some kind of revenge? How can it be possible that the girls dorm would ask for a social meetup like this? Aren't you all afraid of getting chewed out?"
There was a landline in every dorm room of Songcheng University, but they had slowly started to die out with the popularization of cell phones.
"I discussed it with Model Worker. That phone number is the same length as the one we have in our dorm. It definitely belongs to the girls' dormitory over there. Couldn't we just change the last few digits to call another girl's dorm? No need to worry about pranks or revenge or any of that stuff," Qiu Zhigao said excitedly.
Zhang Jingye nodded his head and said, "Furthermore, girls will probably prefer this kind of random call asking for a social meetup. It's got a feeling of being brought together by destiny, despite this great distance that separates us, you know?
Lou Cheng thought carefully for a moment, then said, "Not bad, you've thought this through. How about you give it a shot?"
These two had brains!
Zhang Jingye and Qiu Zhigao stared at each other for a while. They were itching to have a try and were both excited and agitated at the thought of making a phone call and meeting new girls.
It was all so impulsive and impossible to know what the result would be. How exciting!
"Old Qiu, you do it," Zhang Jingye pouted his lips and said.
Old Qiu took a step forward, then paused in sudden fear, "Model Worker, it's better if you do it."
"Um, um..." Zhang Jingye was also afraid.
At this moment, as an onlooker, Zhao Qiang said while shaking his head, "You guys..."

"Okay, okay..."
Girls' laughter passed from the other side of the phone into Lou Cheng and the others' ears. Several minutes had passed before Zhao Qiang reluctantly dropped the phone and turned his head with a smile.
"It's settled! They've agreed. The girls from the Department of Chinese Language and Literature are going to meet us this Friday and have dinner together. If we get along with each other, we can all go out for a social meetup next time.

Everyone roared in hoots of laughter, but then they quickly switched their subject to the meeting on Friday. Even though it was still Monday, this didn't stop Zhao Qiang, Zhang Jingye and Qiu Zhigao's imaginations from starting and coming up with all kinds of hypothetical scenarios.
Lou Cheng listened for a moment, but then Yan Zheke's image suddenly crossed his mind. His mood returned from its playfulness back to a serene calmness.
Having a crush on a girl, yet still trying to get to know other girls and going out for social meetups... was that the right thing to do?
"I don't care what other people think. I just don't want to take it for granted..." After thinking for a while, he said, "Qiang, I've got something going on Friday. I've got to go downtown, so I can't joint the social meetup this time."
"What thing?" Zhao Qiang asked in surprise.

However, after his senior year of high school, he'd become addicted to the internet and always stayed in his room to play games, skipping classes with teachers who were not stern or who did not give roll call frequently.
"Tang Wen, hasn't Casanova come back yet?" Lou Cheng asked.
Without even turning his head, Tang Wen replied, "No, no one has come back."
Among the two other guys in Cai Zongming's dorm, the first one was Mou Yuanxing. Mou was admitted into Songcheng University together with his girlfriend from high school and thus aroused the envy of all the single guys. What's more, he was always absent until the lights were out in the dorm. The other guy was Qin Mo, who came from a wealthy local family and always sneaked out of the campus to fool around with a different social circle, though he was nice and got along with everyone.
Lou Cheng sighed, took out his cell phone, and walked out to the courtyard of the 7th building. Squatting near the flower bed, Lou Cheng dialed Cai Zongming's number and lit a cigarette.
Some things weren't convenient to talk about in the dorm, so he didn't use the landline.
"Casanova, I have something to tell you." Lou Cheng got right to the point once the phone was connected.
There was noise coming from the other end, but soon after Cai Zongming seemed to have changed to a secluded place outside. He chuckled, "What's that? Why are you in such a hurry? We're still eating hotpot."
"Qiang and the other guys made a random call and found a dorm from the Department of Chinese Language and Literature for a social meetup. They want you to come as you are the Casanova and have your gift of the gab, which is perfect for that situation," Lou Cheng said with a laugh.
"Are you complimenting me? Or insulting me?" Cai Zongming grumbled, "That sounds interesting. I'll have a look, but isn't five people going together a bit disrespectful to the girls?"
Lou Cheng paused and said, "I'm not going."
"Oh, why aren't you going?" Cai Zongming asked in surprise.
Lou Cheng did not keep Cai Zongming in the dark, "It doesn't seem like a good idea for me to go out for a social meetup with other girls when I have feelings for another girl."
"What?" Cai Zongming faltered for a moment and said, "Cheng, a social meetup isn't a date. Everyone's just going out to get to know each other, eat and drink, just broaden their social circle. No one's going to put a gun to your head and force you to date someone. Even me, maintaining my chastity, don't care that much. Moreover, you and Yan Zheke barely even know each other and you've got a long way to go before you can even think about becoming her boyfriend, so what's with all this fussing about?"
"Forget it, I just feel a little guilty. I'm not going." Lou Cheng made his decision.

The courtyard was full of students returning to their dorms in a continuous stream, while the corner was quiet and peaceful as if they were two disparate worlds.

"Pag inlove ka, para kang nasa pelikula, minsan bida pero minsan kontrabida, pero anuman estado ng lovelife mo, lagi tandaan, ikaw pa rin ang bida sa pelikula ng buhay mo. Hawak mo ang script at camera at libre sumigaw ng "Cut" pag handa ng bumitaw."

Bata pa lang ako ay hopeless romantic na ako. As early as 8 years old, alam ko na yung gusto ko at hanap ko sa isang guy to be my partner, at dahil paborito ko ang mga Disney Princess at Prince, nangarap ako na magkaroon ng partner na malaprinsipe tulad sa fairy tales, mga knight in shining armor ika nga. Yung lalaki na handa ako ipagtanggol kapag may umapi o umaway sa akin, yung kahit ano mangyari, hindi ako iiwan.

I remember noong elementary years namin, uso ang slumbook, iikot yun sa buong klase at sasagutan mo. Isa sa tanong na paborito kong sagutin ay ang "What is your ideal guy/man?" Tapos excited akong isulat doon yung ideal man ko na "maputi, matangkad, smiling eyes, singkit na mata na kapag ngumiti wala ng makitang mata, killer smile, matalino, gwapo, mabait, at higit sa lahat maka-Diyos." Tapos lahat ng classmates ko alam agad sino crush ko kasi meron kaming classmate na lahat ng gusto ko sa guy ay andun sa katangian nya.

Nung nasa high school naman ako, same lang, uso pa rin ang slumbook, kaya pareho lang ng sinusulat ko dun, pero dahil nagdadalaga na ako noon, may isang guy na school heartthrob ang nahagip ng mata ko. Sa apat na taon ko sa high school, sya ung ultimate crush ko na naging first heart ache ko. Sobrang sakit nya. Hindi ko sya boyfriend pero sya naging unang heartaches ko, bakit? Kasi ang gusto nya ay ung close friend kong babae. Sakit no!

​So ayun nga, dahil naheartbroken, sinabi ko na "Cut" yung para akong director na gumawa ng script, akala ko ako at sya ang bida, pero ako pa pala naging kontrabida, kaya ayun, tinapos ko ung script sabay sigaw sa puso ko ng "Cut, move on."

​Hanggang sa graduation, then move to college, excited ako kasi malaking university, makakamove on ako, at nangyari nga, ginusto ko mag excel sa lahat ng bagay at dahil gusto ko ung course ko sa college, inenjoy ko, hindi ko namamalayan, andyan na naman si kupido. Ang makulit na pana.

​At first, natuwa ako sa guy, pareho kami ng hilig ang film, cinematography kaya naman sya ang partner ko at nagtuturo sa akin ng techniques sa filmmaking. Ahead sya ng batch pero naging close friend ko sya, pero dahil nahuhulog na puso ko sa kanya, bigla ko agad naisip ung heartbreaks ko noong high school kaya naman, bago pa ako tuluyang mahulog sa taong ito, tinawag ko na syang "kuya". Kuya ang naiisip kong itawag sa mga guys na nagugustuhan ko para maprotect ko ang heart ko sa upcoming dangers of heartaches. Hanggang isang araw, bigla syang nagtapat na he likes me raw, sa sobrang takot ko masaktan, pinanindigan ko ung tawag kong kuya sa kanya. Sabi nga nya "Kuya ba ung magic word mo sa pambabasted ng guy?"

​Then one day, I saw him with someone and introduced to me as his girlfriend. Ouch! Ang sakit beshy. Pero kailangan panindigan na kuya ko sya kasi hindi pwede ang pakikipagrelasyon noon dahil nag aaral pa ako.

​Many girls will probably relate to my stories while studying. Hindi naman kasi namimili ang pana ni kupido at ang pagiging broken hearted, kahit wala kang boyfriend o girlfriend, pwede tayo maheartbroken. Ang tanong lang eh kung kailan tayo pwede sumigaw ng "Cut"!

​Ang magmahal ay hindi masama, pero dapat alam natin yung boundaries para maiwasan ang broken hearted. Tayong mga girls, may mga standards, packages tayo na naiisip para sa relationships natin, even sa paghanap ng friends may package deal madalas. Pero ano nga ba ang mga package deals na ito? PACKAGE DEAL:  MY OWN IDEAL STANDARDS

​When I was young, I remember doing check list for my ideal man. May paborito akong kanta dati yung "Stay Forever" ni Joey Lawrence na lyrics na "I wanna stay forever with you, Feeling every heartbeat so close to mine, I wanna stay forever with you, Holding on to every breath, Stay forever with you" (grabe ang old na ng kanta, '90's song) pero yung kantang ito ung pinaghugutan ng standard ko sa quest for love.

​Isa sa standard or ideal character ko sa isang guy ay ung hindi ako iiwanan kahit ano mangyari. Sa kanta na iyan, feeling ko super kilig ako na para bang may prinsipeng hindi ako iiwan kailanman. Feeling ko lang naman na ganun dapat ang relationship, walang iwanan ika nga ng marami. Even sa mga friends ko, ayoko na may nawawala sa circle of friends ko. Ewan ko ba pero dahil siguro takot ako mapag isa. Ayoko ng walang group, I fear being alone. I'm scared of being left behind. So ang tendency, gusto ko nasa paligid ko lang sila. Ang selfish di ba?

Pero bakit nga ba? Siguro kasi need natin mag grow as an individual human being, hindi natin pwede ikahon sa mundo natin ang isang tao kasi may buhay silang dapat harapin din tulad natin.

​Madalas natin sinasabi "walang forever" pero sa totoo lang, hindi naman talaga nawawala ung mga taong minahal natin, nandyan lang sila, in fact, sa liit nga ng mundo, pwedeng nasa kabilang dulo lang pala sya. Nasasabi natin na walang forever everytime we broke up with someone, pero sa totoo lang, need lang naman huminga para makita ang iba pang ganda ng mundo. Ang forever kasi ay yung mga memories na nasa puso at isip natin.

​Hindi man sila bumalik sa atin after break up, yung memories na iniwan nila ang magsisilbing lesson natin para tayo maggrow pa. At yung memories un ang nag-sstay forever sa puso at isipan natin. Minsan may mga masasakit na memories pero anuman yan, sigurado, naging matatag tayo after. Mahirap minsan maintindihan kung bakit kailangan natin umasa tayo sa staying forever idea nay an pero ganoon ang buhay, sabi nga dapat may pinanghahawakan tayo.

​Naalala ko may isang guy ang lagi nyang sinasabi sa akin na "I will be with you forever." Nakakakilig marinig pero eto ung isang line ng lalaki na hindi ko pinaniniwalaan kasi meron at meron time sa life natin ang need natin maging mag-isa kasi need natin maggrow, madevelop sa iba pang aspeto ng buhay. Madalas nga may nauuna pa sa death di ba? Tulad ng guy na nagsabi sa akin nyan, ayun nauna pa syang bumitiw kasi nauna syang mahanap ung right one for him and I'm happy for him, imagine close friend ko pa sya ngayon. Pero yung memories na nabuo, minsan matatawa na lang kami kasi minsan sa buhay namin, pinangarap buuin yung forever.

A Danish philosopher Soren Kierkegaard once said; "Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards."  

It is true enough that we can only understand things after it happened like sa nangyari, minsan after break up, saka natin marerealized na tama lang na bumitiw kasi kung hindi, wala tayo sa journey na meron ang present life natin.

Checklist #2: The Bestfriend Package

​'When you need a friend, that you can depend, you can count on me because, you're my best friend." One of my favorite songs about friendship. It's actually my song for my bestfriend. After my first heartbreaks, naisip ko ishield at protektahan ung heart ko, para bang ayaw ko nang masaktan. Kaya naman sa bawat crush ko na guy, kapag nahuhulog na loob ko, tatawagin ko na syang kuya. Malaki respeto ko sa kuya, kasi wala ako nun, naging panganay ako at walang kuyang kinagisnan kasi maaga sila kinuha ni God so ang tendency, I wanted to have an older brother. I longed to have someone na magtatanggol sa akin kapag inaway ako. A brother that can be a bestfriend to me.

​Noong college ako, may isang guy na sobrang close kami, as in walang araw na hindi kami nag usap, we treat each other as bestfriend, minsan, may report ako gagawin sa Philosophy class, habang nagrereport dumugo ilong ko, (well normal naman na nagdurugo ilong ko lalo kapag mainit), so my classmates were worried, at dahil kilala ng isang classmate si guy, nagdrop call sila (uso ang drop call dati sa cellphone). "Drop call ang tawag sa tawag na malatelegramang," So nang matanggap nya ang tawag, kahit nasa bahay sya kasi wala syang pasok nun, halos liparin ang byahe makapunta lang sa akin, he made sure na okay ako, dinala sa clinic, binantayan at hinatid pa sa bahay. Nakakakilig di ba?

​Eto yung time na naging crush ko sya at presto malapit na mahulog loob ko kaya isang araw nagtapat naman sya, mutual feelings ika nga, kaso tinawag ko syang "kuya". Syempre nasaktan ko sya. Pero buti na lang understanding sya at super bait, until now kaibigan ko pa sya. Sya kasi ung taong ayaw kong masaktan at itake risk ang friendship kaya I made him as my bestfriend.

​What I mean when I say Bestfriend Package? Isa sa standard or checklist na madalas magustuhan natin ay ung parang bestfriend lang natin si guy. Yung comfortable tayo na iexpress ang sarili natin sa kung anuman ang sitwasyon. Hindi tayo nahihiya sa harap nya. Tulad sa magbestfriend, Malaya kang maging ikaw kasi tanggap ka nya.
​Sa paghahanap ng makakasama habambuhay, kailangan natin maging bestfriend sa partner natin. We should learn that we can be a friend to him or her. Sabi nga di ba, special friend mo dapat yung taong mahal mo.

​Ang bestfriend hindi ka iiwanan nyan. My favorite classic author William Shakespeare once said, "A friend is one that knows you as you are, understands where you have been, accepts what you have become, and still, gently allows you to grow." So same thing with partner, someone who accepts me, understands me, knows me well, and allows me to grow individually. Parang hashtag sweetheart ko, bestfriend ko.
Speaking of having a bestfriend and being with forever idea, it means there is an unspoken bond with the person who knows us better than anyone in the world. The one you call on the phone at 3AM during a crisis; someone who knows what we are thinking before we say it; the only person who really, truly, 'gets' us. Everyone hears what you say. Friends listen to what you say. Best friends listen to what you don't say.

​Aminin natin na minsan sa sobrang dali ng standards natin mahirap mahanap. Siguro marahil madalas ang standards na meron tayo ay iba sa standard ng mundo at ng Maykapal.

Checklist #3: The Prince Package

​As I said earlier, I grew up na ang idea about relationships ay malafairy tales. Yung ideal man ko since elementary ako until now na nasa late 30's na ako, yun pa rin sa checklist ko. Ewan ko kung weird ba yun?

​Bago pa man ako nahilig sa mga Korean drama at KPop, espesyal na sa puso ko ang mga may smiling eyes o chinito eyes, gusting gusto ko yung mata na nakangiti kahit hindi pa ngumiti ang tao. Yung mga killer smile na kapag ngumiti wala ng mata at super sweet ang ngiti, pati na rin ung kapag matalino at talented ung tao.  Mabilis makakuha ng attention ko ang mga guys na smart, matalino at super talented lalo sa music and arts plus factor kapag smiling eyes at may killer smile. Lalo na kung ang ugali ay malaprinsipe pa.

​Madalas sabihin sa akin, mahirap mahanap ung ganyan. I remember, may nagtanong sa Facebook ko kung sino ang guy na hanap ko. Sa sobrang kababawan, sinagot ko sya ng "utak ni Albert Einstein, tangkad at katawan ni Paul Walker, smiling eyes ni Song Joong Ki, killer smile ni Kim Rae Won, talented like Vincent Willem van Gogh and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart at ung faith like David and Peter sa Bible." After I posted that, bigla trending ng comment na 'mahirap hanapin un at pagsama-samahin sa iisang tao, clone ba gusto mo?" Natawa ako at oo nga mahirap hanapin pero napaisip ako ng mahirap ba talaga hanapin at kung may nageexist ba talaga na ganung tao?

​Minsan nakakahon tayo sa idea na gusto natin pero paano kung hindi nageexist yung ideal na ganun kasi di ba nga may kasabihan "Nobody is perfect." Eh sabi ng iba, napakaperpekto naman ng hanap mo. Weh di nga? Perfect na ba un?

​May takot tuloy ako na parang what if hindi sya nageexist? Ano na mangyayari beshies?

Sabi nila "true love waits" pero paano kung matagal ang paghihintay? Or paano kung nakita mo na pero hindi tama ang tugtugin at tibok ng puso nyo? Ang sakit di ba? Minsan naitatanong mo kung maganda ka ba kasi parang walang nagkakagusto sayo.


At my age of 38 years old, most of my batchmates are all married and have their families na, dakilang ninang na nga ako ng iba sa mga anak nila. Madalas ayoko na tuloy pumunta sa mga okasyon kasi iisa ang tanong nila, "kailan k aba mag-aasawa?" "Wala ka bang boyfriend?" At madalas ko lang sagutin ng "Wait lang, darating din 'yan."


​Minsan tuloy napapaisip ako ng "Nasaan na nga ba si Mr. Right?" "Sobrang traffic na ba at hindi ako makita?" Pero kung nakita mo nga pero hindi naman pwede maging kami.


Being single is sometimes a controversial issue in our young professional society. Always remember that true love waits. Every woman is worth the wait. We don't need to rush things. It will come. Everything has its own perfect time.


Maybe God is still busy writing my love story.

Xiao An walked slowly to the exit as she pulled her luggage. Walking outside, she asked a taxi driver to bring her to the address that she provided.

Only ten students with a score of 95% and above in National College Entrance Examination (NCEE) + 95% of the Royal Academy of China Entrance Examination (RACEE) + 95% Average Percentage Grade of the Report Card will be accepted and the student needs to maintain his/her average percentage grade A+ or 95% and above. With SAESP, the 30 thousand Yuan fee per semester will be free.

After confirming her admission to RA, Bai Yuehan get her an apartment and paid one year of the rental fee in advance. It's thirty minutes ride from the Academy. Bai Yuehan did not let her stay in the RA Dorm as he knew his daughter preferred privacy and silent surroundings and additional rooms for her wires, other equipments and tools.

Using the key, Xiao An opened the door of the last room in the second floor. The room has a small living room and a kitchen, three bedrooms and one bathroom. A figure in a white sneakers with a loose long white sleeve collared blouse with small slit in the arms, slightly fitted blue jeans, a braided black hair with a big frame eye wear, was standing in front of a gigantic white gate with a big wordings of 'WELCOME TO ROYAL ACADEMY' engraved above in the gate's arch.

Xiao An was looking in the big gate in a dazed while many students were rustling in the first day of school year.

'Mom, Dad...Did you see me now in heaven? I'm starting my 1st day in college now. My 1st day in RA....'

RA was covered by greens and the buildings were all painted in white. The students were passing by and walking through in solo, pair and by group. All with aristocratic auras in the air. Even though she looked a little bit different, it does not change her mood. This is one of her dreams. To be one of the students in RA, to make millions on her own and to travel around the world...'Sigh'

As she was walking, other students were also curiously looking at her. Xiao An did not mind them and walked straight to Electronic Engineering Department.

" For the a thousandth time this week, my eyes reach for the heavens. " Oh. I'm so lucky.." I walk back out and begin taking out my boxes and putting them in Aaron's car. Well, trying to squeeze them in. 

He is like a girl who can't leave all her clothes and make-up behind, who needs this many boxes? Once I finish, I walk back inside and give my mother a hug and Aaron does the same to his. " We are both proud of you too. See you this weekend. " Pearl says. I nod and head back to the Mercedes, sitting in the passenger. I make sure to shut his door harder than necessary and I regret it because when he enters the car, he starts it and pulls out; his hand contacts my thigh. As soon as he does, a flower crown poofs onto my head. I hear him chuckling and he keeps his hand on my thigh, gently squeezing every now and then. 


Is it wrong to think about murdering someone? It takes us three hours to get to the college, our college is supposed to be one of the best and it's in town so we can visit our family. Not only that, it's all species friendly. Some school have, all vampires, all wolf's, all foxes. But no, all species. I'm kind of worried for Aaron, but why should I? It's not like I'm his friend, or girlfriend. Once we arrive, I step out and look up at my new school. It looks like a castle, in fact it looks dull. It's all gray, but then again. This is a serious school, it's one of the top ten. You can tell it's kept in good condition, trimmed bushes, nice flowers, grass mowed; even the way the gravel sits shows it's well kept. " I'm getting my stuff once I find out my dorm and such. " I state as I walk through the large iron gate, once I touch the gate, vines with red roses tangle themselves between the bars. They can thank me later.

As I enter, I see a woman in a black dress. She has black hair and red eyes, she's a demon. The woman signals me to come over and I oblige. " I am the principal, you may call me Mrs.Davis. Designation, please. " I give her a slight bow. " Kiora Dark. " She looks down at the files in her hand, shuffling around until she pulls out a golden key with the schools emblem engraved into it. " Floor four, room two-hundred and four. Your roommate had already claimed their room a day before. " I nod and thank her before taking the elevator up. I wonder who it will be, I could have a roommate with anyone. Male or female, any species. 

The elevator door opens up and I step out, heading down the hall. It's the last dorm on the right, I put my key in and turn. I hear a click and then a faint moan which made me stop and back away slightly. Disgusting, I take a moment to decide what I should do. In the end, I decided I would open the door and lay down the rules. I swing open the door, to find a fox on top of Aaron. Nude. I stare at them and they stare back at me. I feel tears down my cheeks and I run as fast as I can. Not even bothering to take the elevator, I take the stairs; I hear him call my name but I keep going. He's sick and disgusting. How could 
he? Did he know I was going to be his roommate? Does he really feel nothing for me. I sink to my knees, sobbing.


It takes me a moment to wake up, my vision blurry. I feel something soft, which definitely not the stairs given they are concrete. I slowly turn my head to find a sleeping Aaron, embracing me. I feel my face get warm with anger and suprise, does he think I'm this easy? I push him off the bed and I hear him fall with a large thud. " Ow! " He sits up, rubbing his back. Tears threaten me once more, " Go away. " This time he stands up and gets back on the bed, I now realize all my stuff is here. He already folded and put my clothes in drawers, my books and such on my new dresser they provided. He groans as he then buried his face in my neck. " Look. She was trying to seduce me, you don't take me as a man whore, do you? " I want to believe him, and I nod. " You are. " 

He starts gently planting kisses on my neck and I push him away. " I don't want you. " His lips perk up in a smirk. " Then, why did cry when you saw us? Why did you beg me not to lea-- " Before he could finish, I slapped him across the face. " I cried because I realized that despite your appearance, you are ugly. I'm not the burden, you are. " He looked shocked and I left my handprint on his cheek. " Ki-- I-- " I put my hand up. " Hate me because I don't ever want to associate with someone like you. " I stand and walk out. Once I shut the door, I slide down the door and hug my knees. I can't believe I did that. I can't believe he did that. I didn't want to do any of that but a rage inside overtook me. No matter what he had done, he didn't deserve to be called any of those things, no one does. If me and him really are burdens, then so be it.

It has been two weeks since the last time I encounter Shayla. It has been busy weeks for me with my projects and meetings.

Not even call or text to her or from me because I got new big projects to deal with personal and luckily I totally nailed it. It is good for my company once it will start and finish it.

However, my mind still bothered within most of the time I get the chance to be alone. I cannot get her out of my mind she always pop-up after that time we saw and shared. Just like before she is always inside my head and that time I could easily buried it to my studies and other things but now things were different.

She is something more that I cannot easily deny it even in my sleep. I am not a student or teenager anymore to not give it a try.

I picked my phone from my pocket jeans and dialled her number. It rings many times and I was about to turn it off but it suddenly answered.

"Hello" 

I cleared my throat before I say. "Hi, miss me?" I grinned even she do not see me. My heart was too nervous when I heard her voice again.

"Hahaha... you wish!" I heard her sweet laughed. "Did you dial a wrong number?" she asked teasing me.

"Definitely not, sweet pea I just got busy lately that needs more attentions to it." 

"What's up big boy? You seem lost in a while and remember my number."

"Well, it is not wrong to keep in touch with you right?! Unless, you are not allow to entertain guys like me. A boyfriend maybe?!" I said but my mind will freeze if she has. I do not know what will I do or say.

"What?! Of course not even if I have, is not the kind of woman who can be underestimating me being a weak."

"Of course you don't sweet pea. You are stronger than I thought and can stand what you want."

"That's right, big boy. So, why are you calling me?" I heard some noise in her background.

"Where are you now?" I asked curiously because the background was some kind of music that it is not her type.

"I was walking the hallway of my dorm and I am now going inside. Why?" she replied as I heard some tossing keys in the table.

"Ah, okay, are you busy tonight? No, party going...?" 

I heard her laughing so loud and no more background sounds and I was relieved. "You know me since younger I am not a party goer and always will. That was one time only in college for a change but it was worst."

"Well, you can go if you are with me then but if not just stay at your dorm."

"Yeah, right, big boy, I will think about it the party thing. Hahahah..."

"Can I see you now? I mean, hang out with me like dinner for tonight or strolling if you are not busy and available for tonight."

I waited for her answer her breath I hear it a little. "Okay, why not, I am not busy tonight."

"Yes! I mean, okay, pick you up 30 minutes is that okay?"

"Okay, I will be ready by then."

I was smiling like crazy after the line was off. I quickly rushed to the bathroom and shower. Tonight is going to be a fun night.

We grew up together since the day I was tagging along with my brother Shane & his best friend Zander. I started having a crush on him however, he left his hometown to be his father.

This is the last straw River!  I'm calling our legal team. Megan sat quietly listening to her father. River looked devastated and she could tell that something was really bothering him.  Dad wait. How about we give River a  chance to explain. River looked regretfully at Megan.She had loved him once. He closed his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose.  When  he opened his eyes back up, his expression was  hard as steel and his emotions  were under contro.l He turned to James and said Eric  is dead. The police are  waiting in my office to  give me more information. I'm  sorry but I  can't do this today. River turned to leave but Megan stopped him. River I'm  so sorry to hear about Eric. Please let me know if there's anything I can do. I'll keep that in mind Megs. Etta will see you both out. When River got back to his office, he found the two officers where he had left them. They needed him to go down to the station to  discuss some things  about Eric. River followed the officers in his car. It was about a 20 minute drive to the station and it gave him time to think. River met Eric on their first day of college. River was in line at the campus bookstore picking up some textbooks he had reserved. Eric bumped into him and  it felt like River had just been tackled.  Eric was shorter in stature than River who was 6' 6, but Eric was broader and more muscular. Eric played football. Hey! Watch it dude! Eric was in a hurry! So he pretty much just blew off the dude yelling. Sorry about that  buddy,  I've got  a  date and I'm in a  hurry.  Later that night River saw the big oaf that knocked the wind out of him sitting on the steps to his dorm. Geez, there's that guy from the bookstore.I wonder what he wants.  Hey were you waiting for me? Did you hunt me down to beat me up asked River. Eric was annoyed,  he locked himself out of his dorm room and he didn't even know what his roommate looked like.  Listen buddy, I said I was sorry for bumping into you. I'm sorry that my big Greek Godlike muscles injured you and your wimpy self Eric said sarcastically. I'm not waiting on you, Since you feel  it's your business,  I'm waiting on my roommate,  not sure what he looks like, I'm guessing he's  a jock like me , so I can get in my room.  Just then a big burly guy that looked like the broadside of a building shows up. Eric gets up and says hey man are you staying in  these dorms.  Brick building guy says yes room  302,  Eric sighs awwww man, I need in room  304. Sorry, bro that sucks. Hearing his dorm number River chuckled to himself.  He looks at Eric and said "hey, maybe we need to start over. I'm River Whitaker and I'm in room 304. Let's get you in the room, they were inseparable from that day forward.  Brothers from different mothers.  
River pulled  into a space beside officer Spencer's patrol car. He got out and followed the officers inside the police station. Homicide was where the officers took River first. His attorney Journey Steele was waiting for him. Hey River, I'm sorry for your loss. Don't worry about anything, I'll take care of everything.Here is the paperwork so that you can go pick up Eric's  personal belongings and Emma. That poor girl has lost both parents in her 2 short years. I'm  just glad Eric made arrangements for you to take care of her. I would hate to see that child in foster care. I'll  meet you at Eric's house to go over everything for the funeral after I'm  finished here. No I'll get Emma and take her back to my place River said. Think about this River, Emma is going to have a hard time adjusting to her daddy being gone, she needs the comfort she is used to so that she has stability throughout this ordeal. Please think of Emma. River felt drained and was too exhausted to argue so he said ok. He took the Manila envelope that had Eric's belongings offered to him by one of the officers and went back to his car.  He typed in LaPetite  Learning Academy and headed  to I75 to go pick up Emma.

"Brother" Ai Fei called his attention, "Does the Jiang knows I am here?" 

she really doesn't want the Jiang couple knows that she was hospitalized. 

"no" he answered.

Ai Fei sighed in relieved. Good thing that the Jiang couple was in their nth honeymoon somewhere.

"So…" Jia Hao sat again at the edge of the bed, "you need help?"

"Right, about that…" she looked around the room didn't even know where to start; she didn't even know if her brother could help him, "you see… uhm… about…"

She realized that she was starting to forget her past life memory together with the story of the unconditional love novel. 

Before that ever happens, she need to set her path away from the story. The fateful encounter of the male and female protagonists was in their college years. 

The female protagonist who she couldn't remember the name, was her classmate in business department and also her roommate in dorm.

It was hitting two birds in one stone. 

She really doesn't want to get involve in drama between the male and female protagonist.

She was planning to ask Lei favor again to look for the female protagonist, the second male lead and the male antagonist but she discarded that idea. 

It is better for her not to know anything and beside she couldn't remember their names and she might not be able to meet them.

Jia Hao sighed getting impatient, "Is this about Mr. Jiang?"

Ai Fei looked surprised at Jia Hao, "How?"

"Lei told me" Jia Hao answered, "He said that Mr. Jiang was –…"

"Wait! WAIT!" she interrupted, "you know Lei?"

"Of course" He nodded, "he works under the old man"

"Old man? You mean the one who adopted you?" he nodded, "and this old man is the head of the family that basically the law in Tai Country.

"That's a little bit exaggerated" he chuckled.

Ai Fei pout a little, "it's not; I'm just repeating what Lei told me."

The door opens and Lei enters getting the attention of the twins.

"Oh speak of the devil" Ai Fei whispered.

"Don't you know how to knock?" Jia Hao sternly said. 

Lei froze. 'Did I interrupt something?'

To face what problem in front of her,  that's what Li Yu believe as the right step. Walking into the College gate,  Li Yu dressed in gray jacket and a black cap while dragging her luggage. 

New Semester will start tomorrow,  that's why Li Yu need to go back to her dorm,  clean up the messy room and prepare for the class. 

It's Li Yu second year as an Economy Faculty student.  All that happened at her Summer Holiday feels like a dream, or more like a real nightmare. 

For some people,  the holidays didn't change anything but for some others and her,  this time is one of unforgettable pain. The proverb about one second can change people life is true.  


Along the road into the dorm,  Li Yu pass a few people that give curious glance towards her but Li Yu ignore it. In fifteen minutes Li You arrived at her room.  Looking at her front door, Li Yu take a breath and put in the key with the pug key chain. 


After opening the door what came into her view is the two story bed with blue and green decorations. It's quiet inside so Li Yu sure that her roommate wasn't there. Relieved that she's alone,  she drag her luggage in and start to clean up the room. Done unpacking her luggage,  Li Yu take her towel and take a bath.

Fifteen minutes later,  wrapped in towel Li Yu grab the door to get out from the bathroom. But halfway a hand reach her hand from the outside and pull her. Li Yu shocked and screamed kyaaa.... 

"Boo...  Ahahahaha... Look at how stupid your expression look like." said the brown hair girl while hugging the tense LiYu. 

"Huh? " sensing something amiss,  the girl blink her eyes and stare at Li Yu. In the girl eyes,  Li Yu wrap in towel cough I mean the towel can't hide the missing left hand. 

"cough...  Xia Fei you didn't change huh.  Still So childish. Don't stare at me anymore, let me change clothes first." Li Yu smile faintly. 

"hmm..  uhuh.. ah right you go change first.  Ahahaha..  I need to go to toilet." the girl laugh awkwardly,  run and close the door quickly.


Li Yu looking back at the close door and only can sigh. Sooner or later the truth will be revealed so she need to ready her heart to talk with her roommate about her conditions.


Thirty minutes later... 
" Knock knock knock...  Hey how long will you stay there. Come out and let's talk. I'll wait in the bed. "
"Okay... " replied the girl. 

Waiting in the bed, Li Yu look at her roommate slowly walking to her and sit in front of her.

Facing each other,  the scene a bit awkward and quiet. No one start to talk and keep staring at each other. 


Li Yu sigh once again and open her mouth first.  " Don't you want to ask me anything? I'll tell you what you want to know."
The girl unsure what she should ask about then said,  "That's...  err..  Are you okay? "
" No,  I'm not.  As you can see I lost my left hand. But everything will be alright. You know what kind of girl I am, right? " 
" Right,  that's good then, I'm sure this won't tripped you down. Err.  then..  then what your parents said? For them to let you come here to finished your study,  they must believe you are strong enough and can make it. " cheer the girl to Li Yu. 
Hearing that Li Yu smile faintly then said "Yeah..  If they are alive,  I'm sure they will nag and ask me to continue and finished what I started. Xia Fei,  I got accident last summer and lost my parents too. This things I hope you keep it to yourself and don't tell others. I don't want to be the topic of people's gossip." 
" This thing I know it,  don't think too much ah.  If you need my help don't be shy and tell me oh." said Xia Fei. 
" Oh. I know. " Li Yu feels gratitude to have such an understanding friend and roommate. Since she can hide her weakness to the stranger but it's hard to keep it unknown to people who closest to her. 


"Yuyu,  it's already dinner time,  Let's go to cafeteria. It's been awhile since we eat together hehehe..  I'll help you bring the food later. " said Xia Fei. 
" Oh..  coming.. " Li Yu wrap herself with her black long scarf to hide her left hand. After make sure everything looks ok in front of the mirror,  they go out to eat.

In the Cafeteria... 

As always nothing can change Li Yu appetite for food. Above the table, there are chicken soup,  a plate of seafood fried rice with sausages, Two types of dim sum, and two slice of cakes for dessert. Meanwhile Xia Fei only have a plate of fried rice and a slice of cake for her dinner. Two girls with the same body shape but different appetites. God knows where has all that food gone. 


After eating they talk about how class will start tomorrow and how tiring it is when the teacher start giving them homework. 


All looks fine but unknown to Li Yu the news about her start to spread around the class and college.

Cell: Isn't that chick kind of miserable?

hand win. Time limit from morning class into
