Eyeless Jack stumbles upon a couple trying to dispose of their newborn baby, overcome by his cravings he butchers them leaving only the baby. Unable to devour the child, Eyeless Jack calls for Slenderman, who appears within seconds, "We'll keep her" he says wrapping one of his tentacles around her.

"Oh~ a new person to play with," Sally said quietly observing the sleeping child. "Why is it so small?" asked Jeff poking the child with his classic kitchen knife. "Don't poke her!" said Jane pushing Jeff aside, "She so very cute!" she said. "We will be taking care of this child.." said Slenderman, "so I expect you all to take very good care of her" he continued in a demanding and stern tone

"How did it go?" Milani asked Mason as she sipped from her cappuccino. "It was okay, I punched Caesar in the gut twice. I feel much better now." Milani spit out her drink as bursted into laughter. "Classic, it's what he gets." She snickered. "Yeah, my mom kept crying and stuff. I kind of feel awful not going home sooner." Mason responded. "Hey it's not your fault okay? Someone hurt you and I'm sure everybody understands that," she said reassuring her best friend. "On another note how's the restaurant going?" Mason questioned drinking his tea. "Honestly, it's going great, like really good. I've had so many people book for this month that can't even fit. That's how loaded the schedule is." She replied.

The two friends chatted about their plans and how they were doing. Mason kept complaining about how he had to go to a family dinner in a week and introduce Jasmine to his family. "Come on stop pouting Mason, you have to introduce her one day. Turn that frown upside down." Milani smiles at Mason as she drew up from her chair. "I have to go but promise me you'll get a hold of yourself and stop thinking too deep into this dinner." His friend concluded, rubbing his back. Day by day mason grew more and more anxious to let his family come near his wife. A small part of him didn't want to bring her around Caesar because he was too afraid of what could happen if he were to let him near her. "I suppose I must suck it up," he groaned, throwing away his cup of tea and exiting the cafe. 

As Milani walked home, she watched the dawn sky and how bright orange it was. "What a beautiful sight," She hummed getting ready to cross the street. Just when she was about to walk to her doorstep when someone tapped her on the shoulder. "Oh hello, how can I help you today?" Milani asked. "Oh I just wanted to say hello to such a beautiful woman." The guy wasn't familiar to Milani, maybe he had jus moved into the neighborhood and that's why she didn't recognize who he was. "Well I'm your new neighbor, Nick Jones." He held his hand out for Milani and shook her hand. "I'm Milani and welcome to the neighborhood," she announced before going back into her house. As soon as she opened the front door she was greeted by her boyfriend. "What was all that about?" Laying down her purse on the counter she shuffled into the kitchen to get something to drink. "Nothing," she replied shrugging. "It didn't look like nothing." Chris muttered under his breath. 

Milani rolled her eyes and kissed her boyfriends cheek. "It's our new neighbor just trying to say hello that's all." His girlfriend said with a sigh. "If you say so," Chris countered.

Milani was in no mood to talk. Given the fact that the orchestra she hired for next week canceled and the comment her boyfriend made didn't help calm her annoyance down. "Listen, I need someone to babysit Romeo and Alana next week, the band cancelled and I'll have to preform." Milani said to Chris as she cooked dinner. "Can't I'm practicing on a shoot all next week in another state." Milani stopped chopping up the vegetables and stared back at her boyfriend. "I thought you stopped modeling for a while to help me with the kids and school?" Chris picked up his coat and buttoned his shirt. "I changed my mind, I want to continue working. I'll be back in two weeks." With that he pecked Milani on the lip and walked out the house. 

Chris' words baffled her. "When did he plan on telling me, he would leave the state today?" She said pouring the chopped vegetables into the pot. "Mommy you're back!" Milani smiles and squatted down to her daughter. "Yes baby, did you have fun at school today?" The mother asked to her adorable daughter. "Yes mommy, me and my friends had a birthday party in class and I got to eat cake." Said Alana with sparkles in her eyes. "That's great princess, I'm glad you had fun." Replied Milani as she kissed her daughters forehead. "Where's Romeo honey?" Her mother asked, shifting her attention from Alana to the cooked dinner. "He's in the living room reading a book. I'll help prepare the plates mommy." Alana said, heading for the dinning room. 

Milani smiles at her bright responsible daughter and walked to the living room. There she watched her intelligent son read one of her favorite novels. Shattered souls. "Romeo baby, why don't you read children books?" She questioned slouching over the chair her son was sitting in. "Oh hi mommy, you're back." He said closing the book. "I don't like children books, I like what mommy reads." Romeo answered grinning. "You're too cute," His mom sighed and giggled again, and again. "Dinner is ready come eat." They walked out the living room and into the prepared dinning room. "Good job princess," Milani complimented winking at her daughter. 

"All right dig in." Milani prepared a traditional Japanese rice and curry dinner for her and her children. The smell was intoxicating, and it made Milani not want to eat it but put it up for display. "Mhm, mommy it's Soo good," Alana said with her mouth filled with curry. Milani's lips curved into a smile at her daughters compliment and her sons head nod, showing he agreed with his twin. "Thank you my little munchkins." Their mother said pinching their cheeks. "Mhm so good," Milani moaned, closing her eyes to savor her masterpiece.

After dinner was over Milani bathed her children and dressed them in their pajamas. "Mommy can we stay up and watch princess movies with you? Pretty please." Alana begged her mother. "Fine, but only because there isn't any school tomorrow." She got up and searched for a few classic Disney movies and turned on the CD player. "Pocahontas, The Princess and the Frog or Lion king?" 

Their mother suggested holding up all three DVD's. "The Princess and the Frog!" Alana shouted pulling out her Tiana doll. "The Princess and the Frog it is." Milani said placing the DVD in the CD player. "After the movie is over I want you guys go to bed okay?" Milani said as they nodded their heads in agreement. 

After the movie was over Milani noticed her children were fast asleep. She couldn't help but smile at the sight of her two blessings falling asleep on her lap. Milani adjusted them on her bed and laid down next to them before going to sleep.

Milani is a typical young lady, she was a wife, a lover, a sister, a friend. But one day her whole world came crashing down for reasons she has never been told. Her life went downhill from then on until she met the two most important people in her life.

CHAPTER 13- HAVING HER HEART

ZEUS' POV

CONQUERING her heart again is not that easy. It will take time, it will take too much effort. But at least, I knew it will be worth it.

"Bro," I called Poseidon.

"Heh!" he shouted and crossed his arms. "Bahala ka diyan! Matapos mo akong muntik na isumbong kay Amphitrite!"

"Tss." I hissed. "Childish."

"Joke lang! Ano ba 'yun?"

"Since ikaw 'tong nagsasabi na 'successful' ang relationship niyo ni Amphitrite..." I stared. "I have a question."

"Ano 'yun?"

"What are things that can make a girl happy?" I asked.

"A happy and faithful relationship."

'Tinamaan ako roon ah...'

I gave him a death glare.

"Bakit?" he laughed mockingly. "Guilty ka—"

"Shut up!" I shouted and stood up. "I'm asking you seriously..."

"I also answered you seriously!" he defended.

Ugh. This damn Poseidon.

The second eldest son in our family yet acting like the youngest.

"Joke lang!" He began thinking. "Uhm... flowers, chocolates, kisses, hihi! You know, some classic stuffs—"

"No."

We both stopped and looked at Hades.

"If I were you bro." Hades approached me. "Give her something she REALLY wants. Something that her heart really desires, plus your pure love and faithfulness to her."

I and Poseidon both smiled as we heard our brother's answer.

"Thank you bro," I gave him a fist bump. "You're a real hero."

—BREAK TIME—

"M-Magustuhan niya kaya?" I asked Briareus.

"Ano ba 'yung ibibigay mo bro?"

"For now, I will give her flowers and baklava," I answered. "Then nagpatayo ako ng library para sa kanya sa mansion."

"She's a bookworm, huh?"

"Yeah," I replied and smiled. "She's kinda obsessed with books."

"More than you—"

"No!" I gave him a glare.

Briareus laughed in a teasing tone. "Since when you did become jealous of books?"


"When Hera started to like it," I responded sarcastically.

We entered the cafeteria to look for Hera and my blood boiled when I saw Ixion wooing my baby again.

"Excuse me." I pushed Ixion away. "Baby," I called Hera. "I have something for you."

"Huh?"

I gave her the bouquet of roses and the box of baklava.

"Thank you, l-love..."

"AYIEEEEE!!"

"RURUPOK NA 'YAN!" Dionysus began to tease her.

"Teka lang." Ixion approached me. "Bro, huwag kang epal ha? Naninira ka ng moment—"

"Shut up," I cut his words. "You have no right to tell me such a thing, and you have no right to woo my girlfriend."

"Oh shit," Dionysus commented. "Away na 'to! Away na 'to!"

"Huy!" Hera stood up. "Huwag kayong mag-away dito, nakakahiya!"

"This dumbass lover boy." I pointed Ixion. "A foolish man who's constantly flirting with my baby—"

"Bakit hindi na lang natin idaan sa isang competition?" he challenged. "Para magkaalaman na kung sinong MAS DESERVING para sa kanya."

"HALA! Away na naman!"

"Pinag-aagawan kasi nila si Hera eh!"

"Ang lakas ng loob nung Ixion ha!"

"Kaya nga, eh wala namang sila ni Hera!"

Those are some comments of students who are spectating over us.

"Are you challenging me?" I asked sarcastically. "Okay, I'm accepting your dare. Let's see who will win."

"Wala pa ring bago," Ixion addressed mockingly. "It's been two years yet nagtatapang-tapangan ka pa rin."

"Wala pa ring bago," I replied in an insulting manner. "It's been two years yet mataas pa rin tingin mo sa sarili mo."

"Alam niyo, kaysa magbangayan kayo diyan, daanin niyo na lang sa pick-up lines!" suggested Dionysus.

"Sure," Ixion replied without hesitation. "Ito ang gusto ko, COMPETITION."

"Game," I responded. Akala siguro ni Ixion, hindi ako kakasa.

"Munchkin," Ixion called her and held her hand. "Are you Athena? Cause you sure won me."

"AYIEEEEE!!"

"GO IXION!!"

"Aba, nadamay ako diyan? HAHAHA!" Athena reacted.

"Baby, I don't need a golden apple to know that you're the fairest." I stated and gave her a smile.

"WAHHHHH!!"

"ZEUS PA RINNN!!"

Ixion glared at me and spoke again once more.

"Cleopatra is nothing compared to you."

"AHHHHH!!"

"You're not Mania but you're making me insane." I voiced out loudly which made the whole crowd scream.

Ixion spoke once more.

"Are you Prometheus? Because you just lit the fire in my heart."

"AHHHHHH!!"

"IXION AND HERA NA LANG PLEASE!!"

"BAGAY SILA!"

"You're not the River Styx but I will always keep my promises to you." I smiled and kissed her on the forehead.

"AYIEEEEEE!!"

"ZEUS AND HERA PA RINNN!!"

"STAY STRONG!!"

"KINIKILIG TALAGA AKO!!"

Hera. Was. Speechless.

"Haba naman ng hair," Hecate teased Hera. "Dinaig si Rapunzel."

*KRING! KRING!*

"Ano ba 'yan, panira 'yung bell!" complained Dionysus. "Tara na nga!"

Everyone left the cafeteria as they went back to their respective classrooms.

"L-Love." Hera hugged me. "Thank you."

"Anything for you, baby."

"Hati tayo sa baklava ah!" Dionysus whispered and she replied a laugh.

She gave me a smile before she went to her classroom.

As I went downstairs to meet Hera in the fountain area...

"Munchkin, whenever I'm with you... I really feel euphoria."

'Damn that bullshit Ixion.'

I hurriedly approached them two. "Leave my baby or you'll leave this world."

"Hindi pa ba kayo tapos sa bangayan niyo?" Hecate asked sarcastically.

Ixion laughed mockingly.

"Stay away from my munchkin you crap," he replied. "A faithful girl deserves a faithful man."

"Huy, stop na please..." Hera interfered.

I want to obey Hera but, THIS MAN IS GETTING TO MY NERVES.

"A girl like her doesn't deserve a murderer," I responded and held Hera's hand. "Let's go."

Ixion stopped us by holding Hera's hand and spoke once again.

"Try to control my baby, you'll become my worst enemy."

"Stop using our endearment, you bullshit crap." I hissed.

"So?" he replied sarcastically.

I approached him and gave him a glare.

"Try to lay a finger on my baby; I will not think twice to throw you to Tartarus." I stated loudly. "Let's go, baby..."

I and Hera left the place and we went to the parking lot.

"L-Love, kailan ba matatapos 'yung away niyo ni Ixion?" She was worried.

I laughed a bit. "I don't know. But we're not yet done. Habang nasa tabi mo pa siya, hinding-hindi ko siya titigilan."

We rode my car and I drove it home.

"Just stay there, okay?" I commanded and pull something out of a box.

"Bakit—" her words were cut as I blindfolded her.

"Z-Zeus! Ano 'tong ginagawa mo?!" she screamed hysterically which made me laugh.

"Relax," I uttered and assisted her to leave the car. I stood behind her and held her hands.

"L-Love!"

"Just walk, okay?" I replied. "I got you."

She slowly walked into the mansion, with me guiding her from behind. As we enter the mansion, she spoke once more.

"L-Love, are you sure?"

"Relax, baby..." I answered. "Do you trust me, right?"

"Y-Yes..."

We resumed walking until we reached the room. I opened the door and assisted her as we entered.

"We're here," I informed and removed her blindfold.

"L-Love, andaming libro!" she shouted in joy and embraced me.

Yes, I gave her a room full of books.

"Love, anlaki naman nito!" she praised. "Hindi ko kayang basahin lahat ng mga andito! HAHAHA! Thank you so much!"

"It's all yours baby," I replied and kissed her on the forehead. "I love you so much."

"Ehem! Ehem! Ehem!"

'Not again, Poseidon...'

"Ano na namang kailangan mo?"

"Wala lang, tatambay lang—"

"Did I permit you to enter my girlfriend's library?" I responded sarcastically.

"Ang bitter naman nito!" he scratched his head. "Bibigyan nga ulit kita ng advices eh!"

"Invite her again, to a date..." Poseidon whispered. "But this time, dapat private date."

Melanie is 7 months pregnant now and we've been going from house to house because it's either we don't feel comfortable, or we are drowning in debt. I just want to ensure that whatever place we are going, she feels safe, protected and out of the troubles of the outside world. It's my job to protect my wife, to take care of her and our son, and love her.  I'm working as an author and Melanie is working as a home-based call center agent and a publishing company, Aspen Publishing Inc. offered me a contract that has a promising salary and royalties, which I humbly accepted, but, I need to write a horror book. Yes, a horror book. As you can see, the company already published a lot of books in the genre of romance, mystery, Sci-Fi, action etc. But the only genre missing is Horror or Thriller. So I accepted the offer because I need it. I need it to sustain the needs of my family because that is my duty as a father and a husband.

"Edward! Come here!" Melanie called me excitedly, "What is it?" I asked curiously,
"I found us a house that is classic and I hope that you will LOVE it!" she said cheerfully. I checked the house and good Lord, it was indeed beautiful. It was a two story house, that has two bathrooms and four bedrooms. Perfect but too much, I know but I don't care we will buy it. Why? Because the price of the house is just enough for the savings that we have. "It's perfect honey. I love it! Can we buy it?" I said contentedly. "Of course, I will talk with the seller and Bam, the house is ours." Melanie said. "Thank you so much for your determination and effort." I gratefully said and kissed her on the forehead, "It's no big deal, hon, this is something that we need, so don't worry. And besides, Flynn will be born soon. Things are looking great." she said happily. "I'm glad that all things are now settled, we avoided our issues and I even got a book deal from a publishing company and YOU got promoted. All because of our hard work." I said it in a grateful way. Now I've been thankful to God everyday that we overcame all of the issues and troubles that we experienced but we didn't know that this house that we just bought caused a HUGE amount of trouble. A trouble that is terrifying. A trouble that is more head-aching. A trouble that will make you lose your own mind.

------------ 2 WEEKS LATER -------------

We now arrived in our new home called "Bay House" it is owned by the late American soldier, Andrew Bay. I've learned a lot about this guy and his story is inspiring. "Welcome, neighbors to the Bay House! A house that is elegant and historical." a middle aged girl greeted us cheerfully, "I am your neighbor, Susan, and if you think I am indeed beautiful, Thank you and no problem, I already know it since the time I was born." Susan said and after that, she chuckled. "Nice to meet you Susan, I am Edward and this is my wife, Melanie." I said respectfully, "Hello Susan, I am impressed by your self-esteem. Do you want to be friends with me?" Melanie said in a friendly way. "Of course why would we not be friends, oh sexy Melanie. Now let's get inside the majestic house, the Bay House!" Susan said. Now, Susan led us from room to room and she finished her tour in the dining room. "Now, can you give us the background of the Bay House, Susan?" I said curiously, "To be honest, don't be scared, but the story behind this house is pretty messy." Susan said sadly, "What happened, if you don't mind me asking, Susan?" Melanie said curiously but judging form her expression, I can tell that she is nervous. "There is a bloodbath that happened behind this house." Susan said, "WHAT?!" Melanie and I said, shocked. "I know, I know. But let me tell you the story." Susan said patiently, "Andrew Bay did not die because he was assassinated that was just a make believe story, a cover up story for something else. The truth is, he died because he was murdered by her own daughter Malorie Bay." she said. "Oh God" I said shocked after hearing the story, a lot of questions and regrets are now running through my mind. "Malorie, a sixteen year old girl, Malorie, she is sweet and bubbly. But one time, she was bullied and was greatly affected by it and for a long time, she locked herself inside her room and Andrew was already assigned in England to serve his Civic duty. The Bay family consists of Six members, the mother, Sheryl Bay, The two brothers, Andrew and Joshua, and the two sisters, Malorie and Jessica. These three children always hear something at night in Malorie's room, they said that they hear scratching and rather a creepy, dark and deep laugh every 3:30 in the morning. One day, Andrew, was back here in this very house and Malorie went out of her room, went down where the family is making a commotion out of joy and Malorie is holding a knife, they didn't know how she got it and she had red eyes and had a blank expression on her face and she just stabbed all of her relatives including Andrew and Malorie killed herself. And there are rumors that the creature that possessed Malorie is called Azerath, The Red Baron." Susan finished her story, "So the house is haunted?" Melanie asked, terrified, and set her hands on her tummy, protecting her baby. "What happened after that?" I said curiously, because I need to know the whole story, it could be the central topic for my novel. "The police found the bloody incident and announced it as murder and the killer is nowhere to be found. But left some clues, red cloth and a red hat. And after that, a lot of people lived here for years and they just left after a few days." Susan said, "I'm sorry that you have to know this but it's important to know. Anyways, here is the key and enjoy. God bless you." Susan stood up and went out of the house. "Melanie, I know that this is a stupid question, but, are you okay?" I asked my wife, "I'm fine but I need some time alone, this is just too much."


MELANIE'S POV

As I climb up the stairs, tears are running down my cheeks. I know that I may be overreacting but this is dangerous. I have a baby inside of me that in a few weeks, he will be born. I am worried for my baby and I just want him to be safe. Now, I went inside the bedroom, I turned on the lights and the room  is indeed beautiful and has the view of the ocean, this scene is peaceful and it calmed me up. Edward carried our baggages up a while ago so I carefully kneeled down and opened my luggage and picked up my journal.  This journal is given by my English professor, she gave it as a remembrance of the time we spent together as my teacher. I wrote everything I experienced and felt today and as I was writing I heard a thud on the room next to me,  my heart starts to beat faster, my palms start to sweat, and every thought is swirling inside my head, I closed my journal and slowly stood up from the bed. As I was getting near to the door, I saw a shadow underneath it was just there, I silently prayed that it should go away but I knew in my mind that it won't, so I said, "Ed, is that you?" and there was scratching in the door, every scratch gets louder and faster. At that moment, I remembered what Susan told us a while ago, and tears start to stream down again. I settled down my hands in my tummy to protect my baby and I took deep breaths to relax myself. Now, the shadow is gone, and I peeped through the keyhole and there was no one outside. I opened the door and my breath is shaky and as I went out of the room, a frigid wind blew and as I start to walk through the hallway to reach the stairs, I felt a presence behind me, something evil. I fasten the pace of my walk but my legs start to feel shaky and I can't walk faster, I just slowed down even more. Then, the lights start to flicker in the hallway until it's just dark, my breaths are really fast and I am panicking and stressed out and I don't know what to do until I felt a hand in my shoulder, this hand is very cold.... as if it was lifeless but I can sense something. I sensed anger, resentment and pure evil. Because I cannot stop the fear I'm feeling, I screamed.

EDWARD'S POV

As I was reflecting, I heard Melanie scream. I stood up from the chair and ran up the stairs as fast as possible and when I reached the hallway, there she was, crying and afraid but, there is someone holding her, a terrifying creature in red. The Red Baron.



It didn't matter if it was Professor Wei Kang or Wu Mingzhen who asked about the origin of Fina or Snowy Lionet, Zhang Zian used the same excuse: he picked them up on the street. Zhang Zian, knowing they would know that he was lying, which might give them a bad first impression, insisted on saying this because he couldn't handle more questions.

Wu Mingzhen was 90 percent in disbelief and the other 10 percent was all suspicion. There was news about rare cat breeds being found on the streets and parks because they were either abandoned by their owners for some reason, or snuck out of their houses by themselves. Someone was even lucky enough to find a Ragdoll.

Of course, the pedigree Prionailurus Bengalensis is more valuable, but not many people know about it. People tend to mistake it for a Persian cat or a normal white cat. If you came across an owner who had no knowledge about it, it was possible that he or she would abandon it just because its hair was too long to comb; which is why you couldn't tell if Zhang Zian was lying.

So, he smiled. "Manager Zhang, you must be really lucky to have picked up these nearly extinct cats randomly on the street."

"I always have good luck." Zhang Zian smiled along, not wanting to continue this topic.

They came into the inner room and saw many customers choosing their pets. Wu Mingzhen was not in a hurry. He glanced around, very relaxed, and would occasionally share his experiences of choosing and keeping cats with Zhang Zian. 

Zhang Zian learned a lot by communicating with this cat professional. It takes time to gain knowledge. He had just started the pet store business and was still unfamiliar with some related facts even though he bought various books to keep himself updated. Zhang Zian's knowledge on pets mostly came from the west, while Wu Mingzhen was a master in the Chinese pet field. The two complemented each other.

"Store manager!" While they were talking, a 20ish year old lady with glasses said hi to them, looking hesitant. Her boyfriend was sitting next to her, like a loyal dog, talking to her in a low voice. 

"Can I help you?" Zhang Zian waved to Wang Qian and Li Kun, a signal that he would handle this. Wu Mingzhen who was a step behind him, walked in a slow pace.

The lady with the glasses waited for Zhang Zian to come to her, then pointed at a British shorthair and asked, "Store manager, are all your cats this old?"

"What do you mean?" Zhang Zian asked back.

Then, Lord Fourth reached out and bunched together the fine black hair cascading down the side of her face. He grinned cheekily and whispered into her ear, "Are you thinking about having children? You just need to beg me and I'll gladly help you."
He looked at her, calm and unruffled, wondering how she would react.
