A short story inspired by an old Chinese poem A Song of Yue Person and a history record dated back from around 500 BC,

This story in the historical record only consisted of a few lines. But the romance between the Yue girl who sang the song and Lord Ejun has been immortalized for more than two thousand years because of her poem.

A chivalrous adventure fiction based on romanticized historical events in  the Spring and Autum and The Warring States Era of ancient China. The story is written from the perspective of the immortal peoples - Ying, Xuanye and Yue Maiden,  who lived, experienced, and recorded the history. 

Book 1 :
Yue Maiden saved a fugitive prince from Chu State who fled from a rebellion. The unlikely romance happened between them, and for thirteen years they lived happily.   Her love story and poem are immortalized forever in history. 

Book 2:
The story is about Ying the immortal who helped King Goujian of Yue to conquer the Wu State and wiped it off the map forever.  A  story of a beautiful young girl who turned into a sword forger who took a vow to be a sword of justice. 

Book 3:
Xuanye - the handsome and righteous immortal who became an immortal during the rebellion that toppled the Western Zhou Dynasty. He then helped the legitimate ruler and friends to found the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, and the Vassal State of Qin.

Zhao Yu had been involved in criminal investigation for a long period of time, so when he found a large number of numeric symbols in the book, he did some quick research and figured out some clues.
First, he searched the Internet and found out that these numeric symbols were a kind of phonetic symbol used during the period of the Republic of China. It represented the Chinese Pinyin during that period. According to the Internet, as the usage of Mandarin was not popular during that time, the Chinese Pinyin was not the same as today. Instead, it was made up of forty symbols that looked like Latin alphabets.
Next, Zhao Yu made a comparison between the numeric symbols and a previous hexagram. Very quickly, he found a matching symbol.
As this was a phonetic symbol, only the correct pronunciation of the hexagram poem mattered, not the exact meaning of the words.
In front of each symbol, there was a corresponding Arabic number. These numbers were not arranged in order of size. Some numbers were one or two digits, whereas others were three or four. There seemed to be no regular pattern at all.
After Zhao Yu found the corresponding symbol to the hexagram poem, he got a long string of numbers.
Strange!
Zhao Yu frowned, as he did not understand what the long string of numbers meant. With a growing sense of curiosity, he flipped through a few more pages. Unfortunately, the last few pages of the ancient book were previously drenched, and many wordings faded off.
From the front page of the book, Zhao Yu saw a drawing. On this drawing was a huge cross, placed right in the middle. In the middle of the cross was a big circle, which was divided into many parts, with some symbols and numbers in it.
Although the drawing was badly damaged, Zhao Yu could still learn a few clues from it. At first glance, it seemed to look like an ordinary math problem on a test paper. But after some careful analysis of both the drawing and the long string of numbers, Zhao Yu finally understood the mystery.

Witnessing all these things made Zhao Yu very excited. He hurriedly put out his cigarette and opened another hexagram. In order to not wake Miao Ying, he even covered himself with a quilt.
He coughed under the quilt, and a new hexagram was opened. It was "Dui Zhen hexagram, Dui Ze Zhen Lei. Zhao Ze Yan Lei, Qi Zhuo Bu Wen, Shen Ya Lan Dai, Yu Yi Hun Chen".
Zhao Yu quickly jotted down this group of hexagram poems on the paper, and began to analyze the hexagram in accordance with his latest findings. First, he tagged all the words according to the phonetic symbol of the Republic of China.
The first portion of the hexagram poem was the "Dui Zhen hexagram" and "Dui Ze Zhen Lei", all of which corresponded to "0". Although the book did not clearly explain in detail what it meant, Zhao Yu felt that these two sentences should be the name and beginning of the hexagram poem. Since it was expressed as "0", it most likely meant nothing.
So, he set aside the two sentences and focused on examining the remaining 16 characters in the hexagram poem. These 16 words were evenly divided into four groups. After comparison, he found out that each group had its corresponding Arabic number.
The group "Zhao Ze Yan Lei" was expressed as 1507, "Qi Zhuo Bu Wen" as 8927, "Shen Ya Lan Dai" as 0013 and "Yu Yi Hun Chen" as 2109.
1507, 8927, 0013, 2109.
When the four seemingly meaningless numbers appeared in front of him, Zhao Yu thought through for a long time, and after awhile, seemed to have unraveled the mystery behind it.
He immediately took the drawing from the book and did a comparison. It took him only half an hour, before he found out what these numbers meant.
Unexpectedly, the meaning of this string of numbers matched some of his previous conjectures. First, Zhao Yu looked at the first set of numbers, 1507. Long ago, Zhao Yu had always wondered about those obscure hexagrams, whether they would indicate a certain direction or not. After all, it was a miracle system. If there was an adventure, there must be a place and a direction.
In hindsight, this conjecture is likely to be established.
It turned out that, on that cross, Zhao Yu found location information. Thus, Zhao Yu tried to look at the cross like an azimuth diagram, which then made everything seem to make sense.
Taking the center of the cross as the middle, he would draw a line repeatedly for every 10 degrees. So, 36 lines would be drawn, looking just like an azimuth map. And the 36 lines were undoubtedly representing 360 degrees, with every ten degrees corresponding to one direction!
For example, looking up the azimuth map with 1507, the 15th line indicated the eastern south direction. As for the 07 in the rear, if a person simply divided the map equally into 10 portions for every 10 degrees, the 07 represented one of them. Thus, this method could accurately indicate a location.
Once the location was confirmed, Zhao Yu guessed that the next set of numbers was likely to represent distance.
The next set of numbers was 8927. If 8927 represented distance, its measurement unit could not be either kilometers or centimeters. The most likely measurement unit would be the meter. That is to say, from the location where he opened the hexagram, 8927 meters in the eastern south direction, would be the exact place where his adventure would take place!
Although Zhao Yu also considered that, in ancient China, it was possible to use "feet" or other units of measurement, he was not in the mood to look deeper, and thus moved on to the next set of numbers.
According to his inference, the third set of numbers, following the location and distance, must be time. Time is an essential factor in any adventure.
However, the third set of numbers was 0013, something that was difficult for Zhao Yu to guess. If it was interpreted as time, the time would be in the early hour of the day. But the time right then was already three o'clock in the morning. Would that mean that the adventure was already over?
Besides, Zhao Yu opened the hexagram at two o'clock in the morning. It could not be that the adventure was already over, not when he had only just opened the hexagram! This meant that the set of numbers 0013 might be referring to the time on the next day. Otherwise, 0013 might not even be referring to time at all!
So... If it was not referring to time, what else could it be?

Oh... 0013, could it be... Representing 13 meters high? Is it? But, if an adventure were to happen in an underground carpark, would this be a negative number?

Zhao Yu searched the symbol graph, but did not find any negative numbers. He only found Arabic numbers.

A little ruffian who fought recklessly without any morals and bottomline accidentally time-traveled to parallel space and became a Key Case Investigation Team agent. The huge change in identity had him creating chaos in the police station. However, a strange miracle system helped him repeatedly solve mysterious cases, turning him into an impudent ruffian detective!

"Based on my observation and speculation, the director should have told Oscar that it was fine and to carry on in his earpiece," Feng Bujue told Xiao Tan and Master Bao.
"So… this week's theme will be 'feel free to roast me'?" Master Bao asked as he used the chopstick to place the food into his mouth.
"Yes," Feng Bujue replied.
"Now I can't wait to see what happens next…" Xiao Tan added.
In the video, Oscar used some casual and unimportant words to give comments on theme that Feng Bujue had given, and he quickly added, "Okay, now we will enter the first round of today's episode… Spinning a Tale."
The full list of the first round appeared on screen, and it was accompanied by Oscar's high-speed narration. This part was probably recorded several episodes ago, and each time, they would replay the same reel for the audience before the camera.
"This round, a key word will appear randomly on the big screen. Let's see what the key word this week is…"
As this point, the camera also panned over to the screen. On the big screen, terms like several terms rolled on the screen. Several seconds later, with a ding, the term 'character' finally stopped on the big screen.

Oscar analyzed as he led one of the cameramen to the contestants' corner. He recorded the expressions on the writers' faces as they worked.
"At this point, I have to explain that we only employ two typing styles. One is direct writing on the screen, and the other is using Pinyin[1]. If our contestants make a mistake in their script, the computer will not correct them automatically. Therefore, on the stage of I Am a Writer, a writer's writing skill will be clear for all to witness."
Then, with a switch of the camera angle, Oscar said, "Now, we have only twenty seconds left…"
This should be after the commercial break. Even though this was the first cut, the editing was not bad. Then, there was a series of close-ups of the writers. With the host's countdown, the screen kept changing from the seven contestants and the audience members. The background music was exciting and nerve-wracking.
"Three, two, one… Time's up!" Oscar took out a handkerchief from his shirt pocket to wipe away the sweat on his forehead. "Alright, let's reveal the writing of our seven contestants."
Oscar came to Xuan Tianzong's panel. "Xuan Tian always give us a feeling that he is at ease. It is no different today. Is it because the keywords you got today are very easy?"
Xuan Tianzong leaned into the mic attached to the panel. "Actually… it does not matter what the keywords are. The real difficulty of the first round, I've always felt, is the time limit."

Oscar read the whole paragraph out loud. When the audience's applause faded away, he let out a long breath. "Phew… even though this paragraph is not that long, the picture of a solitary and supreme kung fu expert has materialized in our mind, hasn't it?"
He took two steps back to tilt his neck to Feng Bujue. "Hmm? Let's us ask Bujue, our newcomer this week. Do you feel any pressure seeing the writing given by Xuan Tianzong?"

He had written about one hundred words and was within the framework, but compared to the others, his was slightly lacking. Mo Buxiang's keywords were 'determination' and 'power'. She had a changing style, and no keywords were going to hold her back. However, her ability at instantaneous writing was not as good as other writers. Finally, she ended up with about fifty words. Even though it was not bad, it did not really showcase the nuance of her two keywords.
The fifth contestant, Onto the Field, had the keywords 'horror' and 'beauty'. He was not bad and wrote down quite a bit.
"The fearful eyes shone brightly, the originally pale fingers were yellow like wax, and the veins on her forehead were shifting according to her mood… rising and falling. She was still so beautiful, but she was about to lose the thing that made her alive, turning into a cold body."

Onto the Field replied, "Soda is giving me face. We all know who'd be better at this."
Laughter came from the audience, and Oscar walked to Soda. "Okay, let's see what keywords Soda got."
The screen showed the keywords 'religion' and 'demonic'. Once these two terms appeared, a bustle went through the crowd. The director turned the camera to the faces of other contestants. It was undeniable that this was advantageous to Soda. This was right up his alley of supernatural writing. But the content that he wrote was out of everyone's expectations.
"I have invited all of you here to this feast, under the command of the lord of the unknown abyss. Enjoy the fleeting soul and screams, sacrifice the god's power to…"
Oscar read the sentence and half-jokingly asked, "Soda, what happened to the rest of the content?"
"Haha, because I did not have enough time, I only managed to write that much." Soda was an honest person.
"Did you use too much time in creating the framework?" Oscar asked.
"No, I spent too much time to come up with the correct pinyin for the character '飨'[3]. When he was eighteen, he joined the North Korean liberation army, and when he was still not of age, he was armed with guns on the snow mountains of the Korean border, fighting life and death with the most elite land army from the Japanese invaders.
"The communists that he led fought for the independence of his country. They were the group who fought the hardest and the group who sacrificed the most. They fought this difficult war for fifteen years, and he grew from a young child to a middle-aged man. He eventually grew up to become the leader of the North Korean communist party in the battle. He was whom the Korean citizens called Han Bie Er (One-star in Korean)… Kim Il-sung."

Couldn't you have just written one or two descriptive sentences like the others? It's one thing that you have pointed the man's name out, but you have also given the location and dates. For the first time, the audience was silent. They did not know how to react.[4]
Oscar tossed an inquisitive gaze to the director again with the meaning, "We'd better cut the recording now. You need to come and handle this!"
To his surprise, the following came from his earpiece. "Set Director Xiao Lee, signal for the audience to clap. Oscar, carry on."

[4] If you have been an avid reader of Chinese web novels, you would understand the reason behind this reaction and why this is such a big deal. China has had a rocky history with both Korea and Japan. Hence, you see so many web novels lampooning these two countries in their writing. Here, Feng Bujue has equated one of the former Premiers from North Korea as a hero during the war. Naturally, that would have raised some eyebrows among the audience because the enemy is not someone they usually associate with heroism.

In the morning, Zhang Zian opened his eyes and glanced around the bedroom as usual. The elfins were sleeping. He turned over and had planned to get more sleep. It was early, and dark and cold outside. A strong wind was blowing. 
But after lying for a while, he fully woke up. Something was wrong. After careful thinking, it seemed that Pi was missing.　
He sat up in bed, and searched carefully with the night lamp of Famous. The chair given to Pi as a temporary bed was empty. Pi was gone.
