I had to put this book under "Historical Fiction" but this is real.

Some argue that various works by authors that do not meet the requirement of fine grammar and spelling are rubbish. Here, each person has his own opinion, and let him stick to it and impose his opinion on others as the ultimate truth, it speaks only of ignorance of life. It is diverse.

Is the work of authors with poor grammar garbage? In my opinion, no. Each author tells his story, passed through his worldview, attitude, understanding of life, his experience and thoughts about the world. It's always interesting for me to read this personally.

I'm a bibliophile, I read a lot of classic works of art, Tomass and Gernih Mana, Feuchtwanger, Mark Twain, Stvenson, Romain Roland, Galsworthy, Tolstoy and all his volumes and there are about 19 of them! I didn't read Dostoevsky, I didn't like him. But Azek Azimov, Ursuda Le Guin, Tolkien, Kipling, Conandoyle, Louis Besenar and others I read with pleasure. Li Bo, the poetry is gorgeous. Novels of feudal and late feudal China, Japan, Korea. Novels and novels by Chinese prose writers of the early 20s and 80-90s of the 20th century.

In general, I read about 10,000 books. Fiction, fantasy, poetry, historical novels, ballads, myths and legends.

After that I became interested in reading historical documentaries - about the history of the Silk Road, Archeology, History, Ethnography, Etymology, the Big Game, the story of the confrontation of imperial intelligence in the vast regions of the Silk Road.

I read about 550 books, from the 16th to the beginning of the 21st century.

I have some kind of base for evaluating short stories and novels.

Sometimes works written flawlessly in terms of grammar, alas ... they are completely devoid of meaning, they are not interesting, they do not have fascinating stories, conclusions, experience, thoughts. But work with poor grammar, on the contrary, have unique information. Of course, not all works, but there are some.

Therefore, when assessing the creativity of another person, the author, being so categorical in evaluations, says only that you have a maximalist who still knows life poorly. This is the right of choice, each person, and to impose a choice on another according to my preferences, I consider this not comme il faut. Well, here everyone has a point of view.

In fact, this is an eternal question - what is more important? Beautiful text form or good content? Bestsellers are those works that combine good text and good content.

I am the author myself. But not a professional writer, but a techie. I don't know much about composition, about the intricacies of writing good text. But I have a very interesting content. Is my story garbage? I do not think so? Do I respect the reader? Sure. But writing is better so far I can't. Nevertheless, I have my own circle - readers who are interested in my work. There are not hundreds or thousands of people, but a couple of dozen will be typed.

I write in the genre - a documentary historical fiction, there are many interesting facts about the Silk Road with which I wanted to share. If I were waiting for the moment when I could write well in terms of English grammar ... I would not be able to share it now ... maybe in a couple of years ... and still I would not be able to write like this they write - people from English-speaking countries. This is a favorite topic of native speakers to reproach those who learn this language in their ignorance of the intricacies of the language they learn, grammar and spelling errors ... As we say, the dog barks, the caravan goes on. That happens.

English is the world language of communication. Moreover, for me it is the third language. I speak English well, but my grammar is lame. I admit it. Yes, I need to teach her, but I don't think I can write in perfect English.

The overall result - write as you can, share your thoughts, in the era of information, the content itself is important and not its form. One way or another, it can help others, they can come to a new thought and write a story about your topic that you would like to read yourself!

An Arts History degree in hand, Changying found that, without connections, all her study counted for nothing in getting a job with the national museum in Beijing. Resigned to mediocrity, she took a job as a researcher for a publishing firm that specialised in historical biographies and fiction. It was there that she met Wang Wei, a young editor that had been fast tracked by his good looks and family connections. He was cocky and self-assured, but he had a reputation for being precise and methodical. His habits were seen as painfully exacting, exhibiting the diligence which takes infinite patience and attention to details. 

Changying dismissed him early as an arrogant control freak who constantly berated the research department staff for misunderstanding hastily scribbled instructions. Confident and at ease with his good looks, he seemed to be oblivious to the way the other women of the company fawned over him. He was just the type of asshole her mother would like. Changying grimaced, her thoughts going down the stream of obnoxious partners her mother brought home and did her best to stay out of his line of sight.

Six months after starting with the publishing house Wang had come in waving a sheaf of paper above his head "Whom the fuck did this research on the Macedonia book?" His voice held an angry edge to it. Changying cringed and tried to hide. Her name was on the research if he had just looked, but she certainly wasn't going to help him out. 

The dark eyes turned in Changying's direction, and she stood up straighter moving from behind the filing cabinet, "Instead of yelling at everyone you should look at the last page for a name and save your full wrath for the researcher." He had started to walk toward her, making her bravado crumble. She shakily added, "That researcher would be me," her voice Jackred out as he drew closer.

"A mouse like you, who can barely muster more than a squeak, decided to call some of the author's premises into question and still more outright lies?" Wang's voice still had an edge as if daring her not to back down.

In a quieter guarded voice, Changying explained, "If the author had even used Google as his point of reference, he would have come up with a more logical history of Macedonia than that."

"And these notes?" He asked and waved another piece of paper in front of her.

Several people around her gasped. Changying straightened her back and set her shoulders, "Suggested reading. The author clearly needed help with his own research before submitting the book again," she was mad, and the thought dawned on her that she was arguing with one of her bosses. Gulping she tried to soften it, "I thought he might like to try again. The story line was good even if the research was faulty."

His face became a cross between a smirk and a sneer, "Oh, so you're an editor now?"

What little bravado Changying had left crumpled, and she whispered, "No, of course not, I was just trying to help him after trashing his work."

He watched her fold under his questioning and smirked, "So you read the full manuscripts of what you research and yet still submit before the allotted deadline?" His voice was still darkly serious, but he was impressed he admitted to himself.

"I am sorry," she whispered, "I was just trying to do the job properly. Nobody said not to read the full manuscripts. How can I know what needs to be done if I do not understand the whole story? I don't like to disappoint a good author and I worried that my research had signed his rejection letter." Changying lowered her eyes unable to meet his critical gaze anymore.

Wang considered her then, tilting his head, "So you agree with the editor that recommended this book, even though you ripped it apart with your research?" 

Her head popped back up as she answered, "Oh yes. It was absorbing if you didn't know the region or history at all," Changying wondered if the last words had pushed her luck.

Wang laughed uproariously and turned striding out of the department. Changying fell back into her chair. She liked to read the whole manuscript and get a feel for why an author used one reference or another. She knew she shouldn't have over stepped her brief, but it could be quite a good book if the author could just use better historical data to base certain aspects of it.

Changying promised her supervisor to just do her job simply in the future and went back to work. She found it difficult to concentrate as she worried over her first serious run in with Wang Wei. Although she knew the fall out would be serious, she had been surprised when twenty minutes later her supervisor gently told her that she had been called up to human resources. 'Oh god what have I done. I can't lose my job,' she berated herself again.

"Shin Fu, come out! You're overdue on rent again!"

"Shin Fu! I can't cover for you anymore!"

Shin Fu ignored his best friend Jason. 

Staring down through tired eyes at his stain-covered boxer shorts, Shin realized he had more important things to deal with than Jason. Namely a half empty bottle of Miller Light in his hand urging him for another taste. He had another sip before smacking his lips.

"Ah!" Shin Fu felt most refreshed when drowning out his sorrows.

The motel window was more popular than usual this time. The warmth of light crawled through Shin's tightly sealed drapes as he felt a headache coming on. 

'Ugh…' He ached.

Ever since Shin Fu's mother had passed, he simply stopped trying at life. Seemingly realizing as he watched his family putting on fake tears and mingling at his mother's funeral, that in the end, no one really cares. Maybe he didn't matter to anyone either he thought, but their words told otherwise.

"I hate all of you" Shin spoke to himself as he left, never to return.

He stopped trying from that day on. He had dropped out of his college courses with a fat debt, his car's been repossessed, and Shin Fu hadn't even paid rent in at least half of a year. There was nothing left of the things left behind by his parents to pawn. The only thing left was his best friend of 8 years knocking away at his door.

"Dammit Shin! They'll really come this time." 

Jason was referring to the hotel management.

Shin Fu turned his head to the door and spoke matter of factually.

"They never came before to collect, so this time shouldn't be any different." He was a veteran at avoiding his bills by now. 

"Your mother wouldn't have wanted this." Jason pleaded.

They were friends since high school. Kind of like peas in a pod, white on rice, or Bonnie and Clyde you know? Fucking inseparable. 

That is of course, until Jason met his wife and got laid for the first time.

Shin Fu concluded that the loss of virginity destroys a man, and ever since, he resented Jason. 

'That's right, fuck Jason!' Shin Fu didn't blink as he reminded himself.

Jason had the perfect life. For one, he actually finished college, he married a woman who looked down on he and Shin's friendship, and even got the job I never could. To come here every week for 3 years, re opening Shin Fu's wounds. The audacity! Shin Fu stood up and spat.

"Stop coming to check on me!" Shin threw his glass at the door. Smashing it.

"Shin-" Jason's voice was cut off abruptly as a figure pushed him aside. 

Noticing the silence and wondering if Jason had given up, Shin Fu felt something he hadn't in a long time. Regret. He didn't mean what he said. No one knew more than Shin how it felt to be rejected. Before Shin could find the courage to respond he was interrupted.

The power behind each knock sent a shiver down his spine. Shin Fu unconsciously took a step back in that instant. 

"Bright-vale police department. Open up!" A stern voice bellowed with authority.

"Shit! The motel really called the BVPD?! The cops are here?!" He screamed inside.

'Shit shit shit! What should I do?' Shin Fu looked around him for a miracle. Before he could find one, a key entered my front door. 

Chi cha! Pah!

These motel doors still used 40 year old locks rather than bio scans or even old fucking school key cards. It really made this the least safe option for a place to stay, but that's beside the point. The door swung open.

As they entered, the lights they were flashing assaulted Shin, blinding his vision. Shin could only imagine the disgust on their faces as he rose his hands in surrender. Motel squatting is illegal after all. He awaited the cuffs with his eyes shut tight in resignation.

"…"

Seeing the inside of Shin Fu's room, Jason lost his mind!

There were empty bottles and trash everywhere. The bed looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. It made him feel as though the Shin Fu he knew who was always organized and sanitized has long since died.

"H… How can you live in this mess? Jeez man!" It was Jason's voice.

"W… Wha… Hold on, what?!" Shin nearly pissed his pants mere seconds ago, but hearing that voice, Shin Fu opened his eyes. He was greeted by a pair of dockers and a polo shorts, he didn't have to look any higher to know that he's been tricked. Jason, and one more piece of shit who wouldn't leave him alone for the past 8 years stared down at him.

"Haha! Damn mutha fucka, this a new low. Get off your knees!" The baritone voice that could only come from a 2 meter tall show off, sang out. That voice Shin confused for an officer belonged to none other than Mark. A.K.A. ladies man.

Shin sat in the backseat of Jason's Tesla while Mark called shotgun. An hour later they turned into a familiar gated area. 

"Where are you taking me?" Shin panicked. He knew where this was, but didn't want to accept it.

"Your mom Shin. You hadn't spoken to her for 3 entire years." 

Jason's voice was solemn as he watched the road, stealing the occasional glance into the rear view mirror. Mark had a similar expression. Only reminding Shin Fu of where he was. They pulled into a space near a charging port for Jason's Tesla, got out, and started walking. 

"You're messed up Fu! If I hadn't visited my momma, her ghost would possess my ass and make me beat myself. You really lost it… We miss you man…" Mark's voice began to break as they arrived at a dark gray tombstone. It read,

"Here lies Li Fu. Though my body will pass, my soul, along with the hope of the Fu clan will live on within our Shin Fu" Below it was the date of his mother's passing, but not her birth date. The Fu clan never marked their birth, as they believed themselves to be undying so long as they had a successor. 

Reading those words Shin Fu became tense. He thought back to all of those summers spent gaming rather than studying hard for exams, the times he stayed out late worrying her, and most importantly the questions. 

"Shin'er, that girl you are taking to Prom. Are you going to marry her?" 

"Shin'er, When will you get married? I just want to see my grandchildren."

"Shin'er, who is this girl in your graduation photo?"

"Shin!"

"Shin-"

"Shin."

Suddenly Shin felt a weight on his shoulder. A warm presence telling him that things would be okay. He broke down… 

"Mom!… Li Xian! I will kill them all!" 

Shin Fu raged, his blood beginning to broil as he remembered the circumstances around his mother's death.

"Whoa! Shin! Your mom wanted you to be happy man. Whether you have kids or not, she loves you. Whether you seek vengeance or not, she still loves you. You can't let that pressure get to you anymore." Jason placed his hand on Shin Fu as he got himself together.

"Nah man, he's right." Mark turned to Shin.

 "Shin, your family had no right to act the way they did, but staying locked away for 3 years? How is that going to solve anything? If anything, you're being a child! Grow the fuck up. While you've been sulking and Jason worshiping his wife I-"

"Hey!"

"Shut up, its true…" Shin Fu spoke this time.

Mark cleared his throat to take back the attention. 

"Like I was saying… While you two were 'busy' I've been working my ass off for you Shin. No one disrespects my family... Look at these." Mark pulled two pamphlets out of his overcoat. 

Both Shin Fu and Jason's eyes widened when they saw the front logo. It read, Immortals Online. It was clearly another game escapade.

"What do you mean by this Mark? Escapism won't help anyone and you know I don't have time these days." Jason's eyes narrowed. 

Ever since he had gotten married, his wife's family took him in and groomed him to become one of the most successful lawyers in the district. If he took the time out for video games like back in high school he would be spitting on all of his accomplishments.

"It's not what you think. This really will help Jason." Mark desperately turned to Shin.
 
"Shin… you remember summer wars right?"

"How can I ever forget. It's how I paid for my first car. The day we formed RS."

"Redemption Squad, exactly! We even had memes about that speech you made for our guild! So epic!"

"…" 

"Mark, shut it. He crashed that 92 Camaro within the first year. That, and we are on hallow ground. You only think about money."

The entire time they bickered, Shin Fu had his eyes glued to the pamphlet. Immortals Online was developed by Fiction Engine. A tech company that took virtual gaming to new heights. On the front cover was a monk on a flying sword, a magician with her staff, and a priest. All in black robes. 

"Cultivators…" Shin whispered to himself.

"What was that?" Jason questioned.

"They are cultivators. My family only let me read fiction outside of my studies in Chinese so that I kept my mind sharp. In Chinese fiction novels, Cultivation was the recurring theme. Some even wander if these novels were actually fiction or historical at times." As Shin's eyes began to show a light they hadn't shown in years, Marks face contorted into a large grin.

"I can't believe you are trying to rope me into this… Mark, none of us has even tried virtual gaming. If my wife finds out and says no, it'll just be you and Shin. I can't convince her that there's any hope of success in gaming. She has to see dollar signs. I don't want to get your hopes up." Jason lamented as he thought back to the old days.

"I know… but we have to try… You've always dreamed of making money by gaming, not this legal shit. " Mark scoffed.

"Yes but-"

"And you said it yourself , the Redemption Mafia would never die out." 

"I did, however-" 

"Do it for Shin Fu. We can't do this without you…" Shin stood up in protest.

"Mark, I never said I would join. Thank you for easing my worries, but I've got to placate my families doubts. I'm sure playing Immortals Online could do wonders for my confidence, but no one will take it seriously." He let out his own doubts.

"I'm sorry" Shin added.

Mark tried convincing the two by laying out all of the info about Immortals Online during their ride back to Jason's. He researched it tirelessly after seeing the advert on his way home.

After 8 years of development, Immortals Online would the newest and final VRMMO created by Fiction Engine. It was almost like fate and they were putting their all into this title. To top things off, they offered something most irresistible. 

An exclusive contract to the top 1000 guilds and 100,000 players of each country signed under the Internet Freedom Act. An international constitution granting the provisions of Internet access as a basic right to all of its citizens. Those were the stakes and other companies were getting in on them.

Rumors have it that Azus, Goggle, and Hipster-Gram were already recruiting and sponsoring players who were in training. If they wanted to compete with big business's, Redemption Squad would have to return. As the debate continued in Jason's basement the sound of the front door slamming shut alerted the trio.

"Jason! What did I tell you about leaving the porch light off at night. Hmm?" A strong woman yelled. 

"Honey! I'm hanging with the guys. I'll handle that later!" Jason yelled upstairs.

"Sorry guys, just give me a moment and make yourselves at home." Like a dog on a leash he ran to her call.

Looking around, Shin remembered back to when Jason first bought the house. 

"This basement was meant to become our hideout. An amazing man cave, yet now…" Shin had an incredulous look on his face as he faced a wall filled with shoes and shelves of jewelry before flicking his wrist forward as if casting a fishing line.

"Whaahh-psssh! Whipped."

The author had an idea when he ate delicious Italian pasta. But the pasta came from Arabistan? Although others say that the Arabs borrowed the idea from China along the Silk Road. One way or another, it would be great if Dara could use pasta as a subject for trade! But in the modern world, hundreds of pasta variants of different shapes, contents, taste and color have already been created and are known. Few can surprise them ?!

The only thing he got was his only daughter who escape to faraway city-state: the Dayang-dayang (high princess) of Tondo, Suyen.

Suyen escape the Chinese armies together with her aides and find her temporary shelter. Fueled by the loss of her parents, their home, and the unjustice they've got, she trained herself hard to enable herself with skill to avenge her parents and get back what was truly theirs.

But what if love came in? And to a man who was her mortal enemy? The son of the now governor-general of Tondo?

The second system announcement was even more important than the previous one because it concerned the collective Fate of a nation.
When this system announcement sounded out, all Chinese and Vietnamese players were greatly shocked. From the beginning, they had all paid close attention to this battle, so they had quickly found out that the Vietnamese side had lost. This was not very surprising, as they were facing Great Qin.
With Great Qin's mighty power and terrifying methods, it had almost caused the destruction of the Heaven Awaken World, so how could ordinary people be a match for it? As such, it was not a big surprise that Great Qin had won.
However, what shocked them was that destroying the two Vietnamese system main cities would increase a nation's collective Fate.

Luckily, Great Qin had immediately left afterward, allowing the two City Lords to let out a sigh of relief. The battle had finally concluded!
After returning to Great Qin, Zhao Fu re-established the two Vietnamese system main cities and gave Flowing Water City's City Lord Seal to Zhang Han.
