I click on my favorite book about stupid gods killing people on accident and doing cool stuff for them. 

As I read I think: 
This is such a clichéd novel topic....
Hmmmmm.... what if this actually happens sometimes?
After all...don't all myths contain some truth...?
What if it happens to me.....?
I suppose I should be prepared right?
I mean... What if some god kills me and offers to do anything I want.....?
It would be a disaster if I couldn't think of anything and ended up only asking for an easy life! That would be SO boring.

It would be just like when I can't think of anything that I want for chistmas, 
or what I want to do with my life, 
or even what I want to take in university (not that that's really a problem as I am the third type of person).

I think I'll make a list.

1. Some kind of super cool power
2. Ability to use magic
3. Able to travel to different worlds
4. Some kind of important mission that only I can do. (After all it would be a disaster if I were to get bored, then what would be the point of reincarnating?)
5. Able to talk to the gods and goddesses (cus, u know, what if I want something else (After all, they would be indebted to me cus they killed me))

That was the last thing I thought before passing out.

When I woke up the first thing I noticed was that I was surrounded by whiteness. Not my bedsheets but real, divine, heavenly, whiteness. 

"YES, Finally my chance to reincarnate has come, my cheat-like powers await!!". 

However the second thing that I noticed was...

"Aaaaaaahahahahahahaha!

Oooohhhh that was toooooo funny. This little brat was fantasizing about taking advantage of us gods, and then..hehehehehahahaha..wait juuussst a sec. I can't handle it... *huiehwhew* AND THEN, he got slapped to death by his sister..." 

This was all said by a fairly fat man in a toga, a toga that slips farther and farther down his shoulder with each bellow of laughter. And because I have been faithfully preparing to reincarnate I of course know the name of this strange man: Zeus, who is, coincidently, a GOD. Once I realize that I look around and realize that there are more gods and goddesses around me than I have ever seen in my life! [1] 

Thirteen gods and goddesses to be exact.

However as I take my time processing this information they haven't stopped talking...

"Ohh! Me!" [2] (still fat toga guy(Zeus)talking)
"Dionysus, your idea of creating a world totally devoted to our entertainment was ingenious! I mean especially the part where you named it such an obvious name: EARTH!! Like as in the stuff the planet is made out of!! AND all you have to do to the word Earth to turn it into the word Entertainment is:

"That was absolutely ingenious, I think you really deserve a reward. What do you think guys?" Zeus looks around at all of the other gods and goddesses for a pico-second, "Never mind who cares what you think?"
He turns to the very unhappily sober god of wine, "As a reward, from now on the ban that keeps you from touching wine is now lifted." [3]
The aforementioned sober god had not had time to prepare his response, as he had expected to have to remain sober for the rest of eternity, "YEEEEEEESSSSS finally!!! Thanks dude!" 
Aand he ended up making a HUUGE blunder.

A blunder which did not pass over Zeus's head, and instead hit him very squarely on the nose in a very annoying way.
"WHOA!"
"whoa! Whoa! WHOA!!!"
"You don't EVER, EVER call ME, Zeus, the ALMIGHTY God of lighting, dude."
"Your ban on alchohol has been renewed!"
"NOOOOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOo!! Darn it! I was going to go visit my aunt susan and get some alchohol infused ambrosia." [4]

This is all getting very confusing maybe they are forgetting that I am here.
"Wait a sec guys...aren't you supposed to say that you feel sorry for me cus I got slapped to death and that you will reincarnate into a swords and magic world with a bunch of OP cheat powers?"

There was a sudden silence (perhaps they had forgotten that I was here...)

Then were a few snickers...

*DONG, DONG* 
An extremely load knock on the impractically large doors behind me.

Apollo grins and calls, "come in".

An angel with tooth-fairy-like (but a lot bigger and with feathers) wings walks in holding a long bar of metal in his hands. The messenger is wearing thick rubber gloves on his hands. The pole is about 5 feet long and is covered in engravings depicting people being electrocuted by giant lightning bolts from the sky. 

Hmmm... this doesn't feel quite right... 

Then the angel yells in an unnecessarily loud voice: "ALMIGHTY ZEUS, YOUR LIGHTNING BOLT" 

Zeus holds out his hand and the metal staff flies to his waiting palm, "well you see, we were going to kill you anyway for disrespecting the all powerful Type 1's, us Gods and Goddesses, by assuming that we would pick a loser like you to be reincarnated with all of our gifts and blessings [5]."

"It was almost funny that you assumed that we would pick a type 3 Homo Sapien to be our chosen one, but if wasn't funny enough so it was just disrespectful."
"So we, when I say we, I mean ME, decided to kill you as punishment."
"But instead of you holding still and doing your Type 3 stuff as you waited for death, you had to come up here before I was ready!"
"Well, it is a little more awkward than I had anticipated, but I guess you can die here just as well as you can die in your room."

Okay, I seriously need to clear up this misunderstanding so that I can get my cheat powers and get started on conquering some random world, "WAIT!! NO, its not my fault. Its my sister's fault!"

"WHAT! Are you blaming a Type 2 for your mistake?!?!"
"There is no chance for pardon now!"

When the High God was created from the energies of the universe, he was given full power over all. And so the High God began to create new concepts and laws of reality. The first concept he created was time, and since that was his first demonstration of power he called himself the High God of Time.

After countless millennia of time progressing, he created more and more. Implementing laws on how beings and objects operated, he finally made his biggest accomplishment: humanity. Wonderful, ingenious creatures capable of self evolution. But they lacked something. War after war was launched in succession. Mass genocides on all sides. 

So he pondered. What exactly was it that they were lacking? So he tried again and again to get them right. His ambition to perfect them bordered on insanity. He started over and over, abandoning the failed creations to their own devices and moving on to the next batch. He created new gods and goddesses with different concepts of their own to help fix his failing creations. Like him they were given titles, but unlike him, they were limited to what they were created as.

The High God created the muscle brained God of War, trying to see if he could prevent humanity from killing one another, yet he joined in on what he deemed was "the fun". He created the gentle Goddess of Peace thinking she could instantly end the conflict. Death, Fear, Joy, one after another he made new gods and goddesses. But humanity continued and the warring only intensified with each new batch. But then after creating the God of Wisdom he was given a theory of what was wrong. The God of Wisdom deduced that the humans didn't seem to care for one another, didn't care that they were killing each other. 

The High God was ecstatic with joy. He promoted the God of Wisdom as his right hand and ordered him to compile a list of all the things the humans have done. He then began to prepare. He needed a new concept, one that cared for humanity, but more deeply than that. He needed a god that would show the humans how to protect each other, how to show the humans how wonderful Peace could be.

He needed something that eclipsed all the god and goddesses he'd made before.

He started the ritual needed to create a new god. He condensed the vast powers of the universe into a single entity. And with expectant eyes the High God watched as they were created. With beautiful brown colored skin, chocolatey brown hair, and a face like a perfectly carved statue, they were born. But he noticed a difference from the rest of the gods and this one. While the others were born with a distinct gender like the humans, this newborn god was genderless, an androgynous being. He was perplexed at the difference but brushed it off as an anomaly due to him using a vast amount of cosmic power in their creation due to his excitement. 

As the High God watched them open their eyes, he was hit with an emotion he'd never felt before. He looked into their golden eyes ringed with pink around the pupil, and felt his heart palpitate. He realized rather quickly it was their innate ability at work and quickly covered their eyes with a white cloth he materialized. 

They made a gasp of astonishment at their surroundings before being thrown into darkness. The High God spoke to them before their confusion could grow. 

"Dear child. You, who have been born of my might, I ask you this, who are you?" He spoke with a resounding voice that echoed through the silent platform on which they stood. It traveled through the empty void they resided in, and penetrated the ears of the watching gods and goddesses. 

And with a voice like smooth velvet the newborn god spoke their first words.

"Who are we? We believe we would be called... Love? Yes. Love. That's what we are called." An with a smile full of joy, they dazzled all the waiting gods and goddesses. 

The High God was overwhelmed with the countless possibilities ahead of him. And with a smile containing joy, and something darker, he proceeded to introduce the god to the rest of the ones waiting.

Created for the purpose of spreading love, the God of Love was all encompassing and good. But they learned of two betrayals, so heinous to what they were and believed in, they split and became "corrupted". Not all that Love can offer is what everyone wants.

Today was the start of the battle of the adventurers, Ye Han went early to the colosseum as he is the commentator and speaker for this year. But before he went there, he checks on his sleeping daughters. He could see how they were snoring as they move around on the bed, he chuckles before sneakily going away. When he arrived at the colosseum, he notices there were a few people earlier than him.

He saw Eina and Misha guiding some workers on arranging everything, they were to busy organizing things that they didn't even notice Ye Han walk by. He looks at the misty center where it was still dark as the sunrise was not there yet, he was excited as he thought off what was gonna happen in this 2 or 3 days. There might be dark horses emerging and possibly be on par with the normal mode of his daughters. He went toward Eina and touch her shoulder which made her shouted

"Kiyaaaa..."
Ye Han was lucky enough to muffle her mouth with his hand, Eina who notices that it was Ye Ha stops screaming as she turns red from embarrassment. Lucky for her that there were only Misha who notice her muffled scream which made her smirk and thought of things to tease Eina, Ye Han sighed in relief as Eina spoke.

"Ye Han san, you are so early."
"Hehe well since I am the commentator, I have to check where I would be placed."
"Ah, thats right. Follow me I will show you to your place."
Eina leads him to a location where it is very close to the battle, it was like a king's position as it was in the spectator location except with a higher view. Ye Han whistled as he saw the position, there was a fancy table with a fancy chair as there was a stone looking microphone which probably enhances the volume of your voice if you speak into it. Eina even proudly said

"This is the commentator seat where you will be commenting while they battle, this magic item is called Voice Speaker which was made from sound-enhancing rock. It increases the volume of your voice the moment you speak into it."
Ye Hat sat on the chair as Eina continued talking like a professional tour guide, he tried the speaker as he said

"Mic test Mic Test...One two..One two.. "
Ye Han felt satisfied as he could hear his voice loud and clear which would be even heard from the outside of the colosseum, He asks Eina with the things that should be included.

"Would the food and water be included while I am commentating?"
"Yes, it would be 100% provided by the guild for free.."
"Good, but could you please make the portion larger as I have a bigger appetite."
"I understand, I tell the one handling the food to make a larger portion for you."
"thank you~Aso, Can I also add something in the ending of the competition?"
"Sure what are you gonna add?"
"Its a surprise, just give me some time in the end."
"Alright I add your plan in the list of the schedule, I must go now, Misha is calling me."
Ye Han could see Misha in the gateway calling Eina, she bowed before leaving as Ye Han stay on the commentator's position. He closed his eyes and waited for the time to pass, a few hours passed by it felt like it was just like seconds for Ye Han. He opened his eyes and saw the crowd increasing, he could sense magic energy roaming everywhere as he notices the gods and goddesses has another location in watching the battles, they were using arcanum to make a magical mirror which showed the whole colosseum as Ouranos allowed them to use it for watching purposes.

Ada was watching Ye Han who just opened his eyes as he could feel her gaze as well, he looks back with a smile before looking toward the spectators beside his position. He waited to receive the list of battles as the adventurers have to register. The guild was very efficient in making this year's event fancy, Ye Han had to wait for another hour before Eina rushes toward him and gave him the list of the battle. He looks at the list and was not surprised that his daughters were on the list, he was surprised to see Bell in the list as well as new names that haven't seen yet.

Ye Han smiled as he felt that this competition would be entertaining enough that gods and goddesses would scheme upon, he waited for the audience to fill up before talking with the magical microphone, he smiled as he began to shout 

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, WELCOME TO THE MAIN EVENT FOR THIS YEARS BATTLE OF THE ADVENTURERS"
"WOOOOO!! FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!" -Spectators
"*cough* LET'S GET READY TO RUUUUUMBLEEEEEEE"
Ye Han hits the bell beside him as it made the audience louder. Ye Han smile became wider as he could sense the adventurer's aura in the waiting area tense up except his daughters and other powerful adventurers. Bell, on the other hand, was sweating like a fountain. He sighed in relief as he saw people with a thin build like him, he was worried at first that all the people who joined into the fun was muscular and seeing Lili and other thin muscle build made him, relief. Ye Han suddenly had the urge to smack someone as he continues to attract everyone's attention in what he was about to say.

"DAO OF CLIFFHANGER!!"

Over nine years, Alena had grown up to be a budding beauty. She had not chosen her talents from the talent list yet as she still wasn't sure what to pick. Amara and Aurora had received a piece of shocking news and decided to start their daughter's training earlier than expected. When she finally turned nine, her parents took her to the same place where she had been given blessings.
Alena, with a confused face asked "What are we doing here mom and dad?" When Alena was just one year old, she had learned to accept her new parents and slowly but surely the stiff 'mom and dad' gradually became less stiff and more natural for her.
"Sorry dear, I have to go. An emergency mission just came out."
"It's alright hubby, I can describe the situation to our daughter myself."
Amara then disappeared with a sudden rise of dust, leaving the daughter-mother pair alone in the forest clearing.
"Ok. Recently, we received news from a friend of your dad so we had to start training you earlier than we expected. In the mortal world, there seems to be a large group of people called 'False Immortals' but they are really weak, and their souls don't come to me and your father like they usually do when they die. Hence the name 'False Immortal'.
Alena had a sudden shock of realization and thought 'Shouldn't they be the players? No! I have to get more information about them! And the best way to do that...'
"Hey mom? How old are the so-called 'False Immortals'? And can you tell me about other interesting things in the mortal world too? All I learned about the mortal world during the past few years were about its history and how the demon king died!" Alena said with a determined pouting face with her hands curled into a fist held in front of her chest.
The best way to get information without the person in question becomes suspicious would be to mix some of the questions you want to know and some trivial questions. And of course, her being cute without her knowing it helps a lot because the person in question is her mother. Who has zero defense up against her nine-year-old daughter.
'Oh My God! She is so cute! She is so cute! She is so cute! She is so KAWAII! Does she know how destructive her expressions can be?! And to think that one day that she would have to marry! No-no-no. I must protect her innocence!'
Aurora had a blank face as she thought of all the possibilities of her daughter getting married and stuff. She had one hell of a time watching her daughter grow up and had saved a bajillion images and videos of her daughter's face, expressions, and memorable events that had happened over nine years.
"Hello? Mom? I hope you're not thinking about something inappropriate."
"Hmm? Ah! Of course not! I was only thinking about how to answer your question! Haha.." Aurora sweatdropped at how smart her daughter was.
"Huh? Ok then, anyways, please answer my questions mom!"
"Ok, so where do I start? Let's start with age first, the false immortals are all currently five years old? And one piece of interesting news I heard from my friend is that after the demon king was killed, a 'God Tower' appeared in the demon king's corpse's place. Somehow none of the beings can go in the tower. Perhaps it's related to the false immortals? Haha... But that's just my speculation! It's not like my daughter is a false immortal! Oh! And there was this one time that ..."
'Hmm, so the system actually gave me a four-year head start! How nice of it to be so biased towards one individual. Not that I'm complaining about it! I suppose the so-called 'God Tower' Is the tower all the players will have to beat to get back home huh?'

After rambling on for another ten minutes, Aurora finally calmed down and started to talk about her training. One can see that she was especially serious when she briefed through the training regime to her daughter.
"First of all, do you know the reason why I am training you?" Aurora had cold eyes and an arrogant posture, nothing like the soft and caring face she usually had for her daughter.
'Sorry honey! This is for your own good! Even if you hate me and your father from now on we will still have to continue with the plan!'
Surprised at the sudden change of mood, Alena replied absentmindedly "Ah! Uhm, I don't know mom.."
Aurora frowned in response to her answer. "Looks like I have to teach you some common sense in this world."
"First of all, anywhere you go, strength is needed if you want to protect yourself. In this world where monsters run amok and the strong is revered, without strength, all you will be is a fat lamb waiting to be slaughtered!"
"And I'm going to make sure you have sufficient strength in order for me to let you go down to the mortal world to investigate a so-called 'God Tower'! So I'm going to teach you as many things as I can within six years!"
"So! First I'm going to teach you how to utilize your..."
Aurora said her sentences so concentratedly that she didn't notice the confusion and doubt in her daughter's eyes staring at her until her sentence got cut off.
"Hey mom? Are you keeping something from me? Why do I have to investigate the so-called 'God Tower' If I can't even get in the tower?"
Aurora froze at the sentence. Her cold expression turned into a slightly nervous expression as she replied in an almost inaudible voice. "Uh... I'm sorry, please don't get angry at your parents if I tell you okay? I'm really really really sorry!"
Alena was extremely confused at the moment and started speculating. 'What are you even sorry for? I'm guessing that unless you found out that false Immortals can get into the God Tower and realized that I am one too, there would be no reason... that you... would... Ah. Oh no...'
Just as Alena finished her thoughts an unexpected sentence broke through her thinking and wriggled itself into her brain, as she started processing what she had just heard.
"I'm sorry that I accidentally killed you when you were just a baby!"
Her brain went full overdrive mode and started overheating. 'What the actually F*CK?'
With a blank face and dead fish eyes, she absentmindedly said a sentence like it was normal. "Oh, ok."
With a flustered appearance, Alena's mother tried repairing the relationship between them, or at least what was left of it.
"Ah! Ah! Ah! I'm really sorry! I didn't do it on purpose! When you were still young, like around six months old, I tried opening your meridians so that you could start cultivating faster and your dad came into the room and then I was flustered and accidentally broke one of your meridians and then I tried mending it but then you died and your dad was like 'OH SH*TTT!!' AND WE WERE LIKE PANIKING PANMIKENG, AH!! I MEAN PANICKING! And we Accidentally blew you up! And after a while your soul was like floating around and then we tried capturing your soul so that we could creating a new body for you but it refused to do so and after like a day we were ready to give up but miraculously a body started materializing in front of us and your soul just took ova, pfft! I mean over the body! And then we wiped your memories of that day and that's how we found out you were a false immortal! Please don't hate us!"
Whilst waving her arms around and trying to explain what had happened ten years ago, Alena received a new wave of information and officially had her brains fried.
Now with her Blank face and dead fish eyes, along with a stream of foam dripping from her mouth she replied like a man about to die, "Ah."
After finishing what she wanted to say, she vomited one and a half liters of blood directly fainted and fell like a doll with her strings cut onto the soft grass. With her finishing thoughts being 'HOLY SH*T WHAT KIND OF PARENTS ARE THEY?!'
Aurora, hearing what her daughter had to say and her reaction to it, she directly screamed and started crying waterfalls whilst hugging her daughter by the head.
"AHH, NUUUUUU!!! I'M SORRY! WE DIDN'D DO IT ON PURPOSE!!!"
Amara, who just arrived at the scene, saw the crying mother and the foaming daughter, sweatdropped at the thought of her daughter know that it was his fault that she had died, and the thought of himself suffering the wrath of both mother and daughter.
"Ah. Great. I hope I don't get killed. Let's just hope that she forgives us." Amara said with a smile while sweat started falling down his forehead, but he is not actually smiling because he's happy if you know what I mean.

The world has Dungeons popping up where mana is dense, hunter association added, monsters added, getting to the 'God Tower' will be difficult, as strong monsters block the roads to it.
NPCs and Gods and Goddesses can get their 'Rank' Promoted by breaking through their supposed rank cap. For example, D-Rank Hunter has 400-800 normal stats, if they want to become a C-Rank Hunter, they have to have at least one normal stat at 801.
If NPCs or Gods or Goddesses Rank Up, then they will get a chance to 'reroll'  their talent, getting a higher tier talent may or may not be good for the NPC or Gods or Goddess in question. For example, an A-Rank warrior has a Mid-tier talent 'Superstrength' and chooses to reroll their talent, they might get a High-tier talent 'Genius-Level Mana Affinity' which will be quite useless to the warrior, unless they change their job to a mage or similar.
Getting two talents or more is possible, it depends on their rank percentage, for example, an A-Ranked NPC named Bob rerolled their talent, they have a 50% chance to get no talent, 25% chance to a Low-Tier talent, 20%chance to get a Mid-Tier talent, 5%  to get a High-Tier talent. If they roll on a 'no talent' they will not receive any talent, and the previous talent is wiped, if they receive a low-tier talent, the percent of getting another talent below or equal to mid-tier will be set to 5 percent, if they got another low-tier talent, the reroll ends, if they get a mid-tier talent, then the percent of getting a talent below or equal to high-tier will be set to one percent. And if they get the talent, then wow I commend your luck. If they don't? "I never expected you to get a third talent anyways"
People with higher 'player rank' can see other people's statuses whose 'player rank' is lower than them. The same applies to Gods and Goddesses and NPCs, but with a different ranking system. Zhang coughed upon impact but suddenly he felt something within him was shut down, when he turned to gaze at Masaru he felt what he lost "You bastard!" He screamed as his speed suddenly accelerated slamming his fist into Masaru's face sending him flying, Zhang was breathing heavily as he felt Masaru managed to shut down his divinity as Guardian of the East. This was a testament to saying Zhang became the fake and Masaru became the real one.

[Boy takes this battle serious, that dragon have gone mad! He is using his lifeforce to forcibly increase his divinity, right now he is struggling to control it and when he can it will be over!] Drago warned Masaru anxiously but Masaru felt wronged as he was actually already performing everything he had in mind since fighting a Mid Class God there was no room was half-assed magics. Masaru was taken aback when he sensed Akiva calling for him.

Not sure why his familiar was calling him but Masaru summoned his familiar almost slipping on his butt feeling shocked as he saw a gigantic Anaconda staring into his eyes, if he didn't have his connection he would have mistaken this anaconda for something else. He could feel that Akiva had advanced to peak Ultimate class similar to him. [My gawd! What the hell is up with this snake transforming into an anaconda, is she going to become a dragon next?] Drago mumbled as he was shocked again when Akiva smiled warmly before her body burst into particles.

Zhang did not take this kindly as he blasts off towards Masaru leaving a rising cloud of dust in his tracks, Masaru smirked as he used trackless steps disappearing from Zhang's sight before he reappeared at the side slamming his fist at Zhang's ear causing it to start ringing, when Zhang attacked Masaru, Masaru once again disappeared and reappeared at his other side slamming his fist on his other ear.

The Gods and Goddess who was watching the fight felt conflicted to see one of their own beings completely toyed with by a boy hundreds of thousands of years younger than Seiryuu, Masaru was regaining his momentum as he could feel his body was becoming lighter. What he did not expect was that Origin was sending out a calling voice to his girls letting them feel he was in need of their faith, just as the Kissing Prayer gives the girls an immense boost upon a kiss, Masaru could recover his strength faster with the faith the girls held for him.

He was not certain why, but he could hear the voices of Ingvild, Akeno, Stephani, Jeanne, Shirone, Everest, Angelica, Yui, Ichika, Sakura, Roygun, Ulrika, Kuroka, Sona, all of them were calling out for him. His body was shivering as he felt as if adrenaline was making his body excited, 'What is going on? Why am I feeling so excited to beat up this lizard' Masaru thought 

Shortly afterwards, he heard a majestic feminine voice that felt so familiar >>Masaru... Although it is a bit too soon but without this, you will not be able to handle a peak Mid God, this technique you can only use it once a month... And it's called Groom's Vow, it will unlock Kouryuu's powers but it comes at a price<< Masaru knew everything came at the price but the price was surprisingly only internal damage which could be recovered with Avalon, the downside was the fact it could only be used once a month.

It was then Masaru felt the magic words float within his mind as he understood, seeing how Zhang was approaching him a smile form on his face as he could envision the girls around him as he whispered words that contained mystical powers that allowed the girls to hear his voice despite being far from one another.

"The Four directions with me as the Centre" Masaru muttered as winds began to swirls around him picking up rubbles and dirt, a trace of golden aura began to leak out of Masaru's body as his hair was flickering with a tint of gold. His eyes became slits while the amber colour transformed into gold "This represents the pride of my pledge" Suddenly his body burst out a thick layer of touki covering his body. 

"Regardless of threats, I shall exterminate my beloved's enemies! Kouryuu FIST!" Masaru screamed as the area around him exploded, the swirl of the wind did not break apart yet from him who already appeared in from of Zhang, the wind could not keep up with his speed as Masaru slammed his full-powered fist into Zhang's chest with force enough to pierce the fist through his chest, blood splashed out like fireworks at first before leaking out from the front and back of Zhang.

He coughed out blood as he glared at Masaru with an unwillingness facial expression not wanting to die in a place like this, but the attack of Masaru destroyed his divinity as well. "Why? Why do you have Kouryuu's power? Was it not... No...." Before Zhang completed his sentence he realized that the sacred gear was originally Kouryuu, Byakko had been protecting Kouryuu even to this day. Masaru's hair reverts back to its silver colour and his amber coloured eyes returned.

Zhang collapsed on the ground as he wheezes, Lin stopped her combat as she rushed over to Zhang. Masaru could not move his body as the side effect from gaining such a massive increase in power that could instantly kill a Mid Class God gave him internal injuries which Avalon was rapidly working on recovering for him. Uriel landed behind Masaru as he caught the boy before he fell "Good Work, you are reaching higher once again" Uriel spoke with a wry smile

"Gawd don't smile, I'm scared you will make me jump over the other side of the Fence" Masaru joked causing Uriel's face to cramp for a moment before he sighed, "At least you still have enough energy to joke around" Lin picked up Zhang in her embrace as she spoke with a shaky voice "Zhang, you can't go! You can't leave me alone!" Lin cried, Masaru who heard this was shocked as he could not understand the relationship between Zhang and Lin at all.

"L-Lin... Energy is... being... drained" Zhang mumbled before his eyes closed and he died at that very moment, Lin who heard his last words thought for a moment before she realized she had been having a weird feeling this entire time. 'Someone is pulling our divinity power?' Lin thought, the Chinese gods and goddesses glance at Masaru with complicated gazes, even if Zhang was wrong he was still one of theirs. But before anyone could react a man with an appearance in his early twenties with silver hair that is tied in a braided hairstyle wearing a silver robe with detailed accessories appeared before them all.

The man clapped his hands as he smiled broadly "Good Work! You have done something invaluable for us Masaru" hearing the man's voice Masaru forced himself to stand up as he glared at the man, he knew it, but he did not want to believe it. "EUCLID! Why are you alive!?" Masaru screamed out towards Euclid who smirked "It's surprising you knew about me, but boy... I was never dead to begin with" He muttered

From this exchange, the Gods and Goddesses knew Masaru was not a part of this and was used just like them, Euclid smiled as he looks at Lin with a pitiful gaze "It's a shame, for the shake of reviving the true dragon God the blood of a Dragon God is required. After all, we can't create things without ingredients" Euclid licks his lips as he could not find himself to take a liking to this woman, he prefered those who strongly resembled his sister after all.

"You did something to Meng Zhang and Me!? You are a traitor! We helped you and you failed to help us secure Kouryuu all those years ago!" Lin screamed out causing everyone to feel shocked, it was then they began to piece the situation together shivering. All these years, Meng Zhang and Lin Guang lied to them and betrayed them for the sake of Kouryuu's powers for their own selfishness? 

Euclid laughed happily as he takes out a small device with a glass container filled with golden liquid within it, if one look closes faint traces of golden aura was being pulled from Lin's body into the device that condenses it into liquid form. "In order to keep that sacred gear working, I had to get some batteries that could give me endless energy for the sake of our new world" Euclid muttered causing Masaru to shiver as he remembers just recently he was reported about the Holy Grail.

And the cost of using the Holy Grail extensively is not something one can do that easily unless they could supply endless energy for it, Masaru sighed as he still need to recover as he glances at Uriel "I'm fine" Masaru whispered softly, hearing Masaru's words Uriel smiled with appreciation as he prepares to leap at Euclid. "I have overstayed and my time is limited" Euclid muttered as the device suddenly began to suck out Lin's divinity in a frenzy causing the once beautiful woman to become a shrivelling old woman "You bastard" Lin muttered before she collapsed, dead.

The gods and goddesses shivered from this sight but Pangu, Wang Long ad Hei Xiangu stood in front of the people ready to face Euclid. But Euclid smiled towards Masaru "I look forward to meeting you again boy! See if you can stop me" He muttered before he disappeared the moment a magic circle materialized beneath his feet dodging the combined attacks of the three gods and Uriel. "Damn it!" Pangu slammed his fist on the ground.

The atmosphere was tense, Masaru was sitting on the ground waiting for Avalon to heal his injuries. Uriel wanted to help Masaru but he remembered that Masaru was a Devil, "Aiya, if only you were an angel I could have healed you faster" Uriel muttered with a face filled with pity, Masaru snorted with a smile "How am I suppose to enjoy the love my women give me then?" Uriel sighed but Wang Long laughed loudly turning the atmosphere much relaxed.

"Masaru, who was that man?" Wang Long asked grabbing everyone's attention, although Masaru stood up for them they still had their suspicions. Masaru began to explain how he infiltrated Khaos Brigade to investigate this group of terrorist, he kept all the information that was sensitive to his and his family's safety to himself while explaining the rest. "I had a hunch that Euclid Lucifige was the man in charge of the magician rebels, I just did not want to believe it as the man was reported dead... Him being alive would cause chaos in the Underworld"

"So for the sake of the underworld, I am willing to owe you a favour if you all will keep the fact Euclid is alive to yourselves for a few months" Masaru spoke with them all, Wang Long did not answer immediately but began to talk with the surrounding gods and goddesses. After a while, Wang Long came carrying the turtle shell of Genbu, "Before I ask my favour I would like to see if you can absorb this into your sacred gear"

Masaru nodded as he summons in sacred gear in the form of an azure coloured gauntlet, the moment he touched the shell it shined before it was absorbed into the sacred gear. [Shit! Boy! What the hell have you done now!?] Drago spoke out anxiously as he watched the shell that came out of nowhere bolted into Avalon as well, "What happened?" Masaru asked to which Drago answered [It entered Avalon where Akiva is in!]

Masaru was surprised but then he understood, the soul that was in the shell was a fragment of the turtle but Genbu was both an Eel and a Turtle together. So it made sense that it would go for the Avalon where Akiva was at. "It appears you will have someone who will mutate like you did" Masaru spoke with a smirk to which Drago thought for a moment before he smiled, [I can tease her about it] Drago giggled "Old Pervert, don't you dare molest my familiar!" Masaru muttered with a serious expression [Screw you! I am only going to tease her, not sexually harass her!]

Being a God Wang Long could hear the conversation of the two, he broke out in another roar of laughter as he never met unique partners like this as he clasps his hand on Masaru's shoulder. "Your favour you owe us, is to take the seat as the Centre. Without the existence of Kouryuu who maintains the balance of the four direction, we will be in trouble. Having you take the seat officially would give us time"

"What about Suzaku who died?" Masaru asked as he only had Byakko, Seiryuu and Genbu within him along with Kouryuu, he did not have Suzaku. Wang Long had a complicated face as he thought for a moment "We will have to search for mythology that also has a phoenix who would be willing to become Suzaku... But you becoming Kouryuu in the name would help us maintain the system for a long enough time for you to find a suitable candidate for Suzaku"

Masaru sighed as he felt like he was given three things to do instead of one, but he was benefitting from it as well. "Very well, I will accept it on the condition that Chinese Mythology would join the Peace Alliance. For the sake of our prosperity and to get revenge on those who trampled on China's dignity, we must unite and kick their asses!"

Reincarnated with broken memories of his previous life, Masaru who is the son of Diehauser Belial was kidnapped the night his mother (Human) was killed by a Khaos Brigade assassin. 

Taken to a devil's house that was a branch family of the Naberius Family, experimented on using various genetic solutions in their research for a super devil came successfully the night they decided to experiment on the white neko.

Lousy habit gets in a way sometimes. I thought I told myself to wake up early to purchase the furniture. Oh well, this is not the time complain, I should get prepare right away.


"Master your breakfast and lunch have been prepared. Where are you going, master?"


"Shana… I am currently changing, no closing your eyes won't solve the problem… You are even taking a peek through your fingers. Could you perhaps close the door?"


"R-Roger master!"


Even though she is my slave, it's kind of weird to command someone. I don't like to force someone to do something they hate. That's why I hate army… I can't imagine how someone could become too arrogant after they have rank up. 


I am so lucky not to have been thrown into a place where their citizens are forced to go to an army. 


Shana, on the other hand, is getting better at cleaning and preparing delicious dishes. Hmm, the food here is not technically far out compare from my previous world, but there are few that I need to question myself before I can eat.

There is more such weird food that is being prepared by Shana every day. As days go by, I can recognize the different food.


"Shana, would you like to accompany me to the craftsman shop purchase some furniture?" 


"Sure! Master, are you buying extra?"

"This morning Eliza had already ordered her men to create their furniture for you. She also told me to keep a secret from you."


Do you even understand the meaning of secret then?


"N-no master, I am a slave, so I am unable to hide to tell any lies."


"… Well whatever, then I could go to the finance building for today."


"Do you need anything?"


"Sure, do help me to pack my food."


"Master, please wait a while, I go and reheat it."


It's going to be boring if I am alone in the dining room, so I followed her to the kitchen to continue to converse with her.


"Thanks! Do you know where everyone else gone to?"


"Master be careful there are remains pieces of plate. I am sorry, I didn't have time to clean it up."

We accidentally spent too much time, after Shana finish packing my food she guides me to the finance building. The palace is too big, by the time I reached there I was already sweating severely.


"Master, are you alright?"


"Let's take a break, Shana!"


"B-But the door to the finance building is just right in front?"


"Don't mind minor details, Shana! Do your own thing at your own pace!"


"Alright, then I will clean this place!"

Shana took out a broom out of nowhere, no wait under her skirt? What's this the next evolution of d*raemon? Without caring about people watching she started swiping the hallway. By the time I finish resting and eating some of the food, the hallway is sparkling clean. 


Is housework chores probably her skill huh? I wonder if I could check my stats. I want to know what kind of skill I have. Would I be useful enough as a main character of a novel? I wouldn't know, anyway let's hold that for a moment while I fix this problem first.

"Nobody is in!"

"Hmm… Next on the list is the church but I heard there are various god and goddesses, so I am not sure which one should I visit."


"Would you like me to tell you, Master?"


"Shana you know of them!?"


"Hmph! Of course, this lowly slave know about them! Master, you need to study more about this world if you want to pretend to be an ordinary citizen."

 "Listen up~! There are a total of five gods and six female goddesses. It could get complicated if I were to explain everything, so I assume you only want to hear about the human gods?"


"I am curious about all of them, but for now I satisfy myself with the humans as I just want to visit them."


"Okay! The human gods are Maceo and Sacnite! Maceo is a god of war it is mostly because of him that all of the heroes is a human. Meanwhile, Sacnite is a goddess of fairness. There's a bit of complication as we still aren't sure where does she fit in the realm of humans."


Now that she brings that up, if we are talking about fairness, humans don't particularly fight fairly. They usually result in all sorts of tactic. If they could win the fight, they would do anything. So I doubt it's fairness over that part.


Is it the balance of the world?

Shana told that these gods were chosen by the races. Isn't that weird? I thought the gods were the one that creates this whole world. Is there any misunderstanding. Though I can't help to laugh when she says that the god of death and rebirth is chosen by the demons. 


What? That is the reason why the demon king was reborn? That couldn't be, right? I don't think the god has so much time to keep resurrecting the same old demon king. He should have learned his lesson by now and would probably control these pesky monsters that make him a scapegoat. 


Sad for the god of mischief though, she's the only odd one out. I wonder who decided to name these people. Now if I were to choose one really, it should either be the goddess of rebirth or goddess of time. Well, both are kind of similar in a way.


"Master am I useful?"


"Yes, you truly helped a lot, Shana. Do you know how to read and write to Shana?"


"I could read, but I might make a few mistakes if I were to write. The language of demi-human and the human here is not so different, but it's kinda hard to adjust."


"I didn't think that the languages for writing are different."


"Of course, master! So that each kingdom will have their secret to uphold."


"Hoooh that's interesting."


"Harsh on merchant though, they would need to learn all four languages to be a proper one."


"Didn't think of that though. Do demons and monsters have their language too?"


"Master, I am not sure about that. I was told by my people that the god of mischief makes it so that the monster isn't able to understand and speak our language so that we won't be able to interact with her creations."


"… Did she feel lonely? No… It must be a proper reason isn't?"


"Shana is not sure, sorry I am unable to help you, master."


"It's alright Shana. I guess we are back to square one huh."


"What is square one Master?"


"No… Nothing… I didn't do anything productive again for today… Sigh*"


"It's alright master! Master is not supposed to do anything anyway."

I sat down on the sofa across from the two newest inhabitants of what could loosely be called my hometown. They gazed at me, curiously. Their eyes had no pupils, but I could feel their gazes exploring me from head to toe.

"Hello Althos, I am Farrane." Said the woman, finally introducing herself. I knew her name already, but she didn't know that. Farrane had brown hair and white orbs for eyes. Calorron had blonde hair and green orbs for eyes. 

"And I am Calorron. We are scouts who dwell not far away from here. We came here because a superior of ours asked us to investigate something." Explained Calorron, who based on levels alone might well have been Farrane's superior in their shared tasks. I looked at Calorron curiously, not feigning the look of intrigue on my face. 

"What brings you to a quaint little community like this?" I asked the elf, curious if this had something to do with myself or my actions but not having enough information to attempt to guess one way or another. Calorron chuckled, the sound faint and musical. 

"Well Althos, we aren't here to investigate Comillas. We're here to investigate the Rodan forest." Explained the male elf, his voice growing fainter as he spoke. And at this point, Farrane spoke up again. 

"In fact, the only reason why we're here now and not at Rodan is because of you. Isadora told us about you, and the fact that you're a druid who has spent some time in Rodan. Would you like to come with us while we investigate the place?" Farrane asked, curiously. 

"Sure! That sounds like a good way to spend today. Provided you're willing to pay me for my labor, I'll happily accompany you." I told the elves, a smile perking up my lips. They both grinned slyly at me. 

"Oh Althos... We're a fair people. Fair folks you could say. We pay those who aid us. What are your terms?" Calorron asked. 

And so began a quaint series of negotiations, which my mind would only be in half-heartedly. My thoughts were elsewhere. In the safety of my mind, I quickly began to ask myself a few questions.

"Is the Rodan forest the name given by humanoids to the forest I've frequented?" I wondered while in the safety and relative isolation of my mind. 

"Yes, it is. It's a misheard version of the name given to the forest by ancient, alien inhabitants of the forest." Claimed the domain of knowledge. I was unsurprised by this, and in fact, welcomed it. 

"'Alien inhabitants'?" I asked, hoping to probe the domain for more information. I heard a soft giggle from the domain as it recognized my attempts to milk it for more knowledge. 

"Yes, Althos. Alien inhabitants. If you want to learn more though, you'll need to investigate things in the forest. That'll be a lot easier now though since you performed a mass-miracle and gained the reverence of thousands of the forest's inhabitants." The domain told me, a smile audible in her voice. I nodded, unsurprised by this but I didn't regret having tried to gain more knowledge now.

"I wonder if they're investigating me... Or something I did?" I asked myself, a small smile on my lips as I pondered that possibility. I heard a soft, affirmative sigh from the domain of knowledge and grinned wider now. I thanked the domain with the power of my emotions, and refocused, more knowledgable than ever.

Perhaps half an hour later I found myself just outside of the oddly bright-looking forest I had spent every afternoon of my life in to date. I chalked up this strange brightness to a simple fact: this was easily the earliest I'd arrived here during the day. The sun hung low in the morning sky and the trek was mostly silent. 

My new allies, newcomers to this place, didn't have experience with this place. So they were ignorant of the forest's habitual darkness and weren't odded out by the bizarre illumination that dimly illuminated the edges of the forest. I opted not to comment on it, for now anyway.

My elven companions weren't especially interested in talking until we got to where we were now. Calorron looked to me, when we were but steps outside of the forest. 

"So, do you happen to know anything about this forest?" The blonde-haired elf asked me. I looked at him and shrugged. 

"Sadly, I am a newcomer to this part of the world myself. I spent a long time here in Puerto Rico in a distant part of the island. I only just began exploring Rodan." I told the elf ranger, mixing truth and lies quite easily. He slumped his shoulders as I spoke, and I could tell that I had just disappointed him. Internally I chuckled at this obvious display of disappointment. 

Farrane let us speak, and when I was done talking she began to speak herself. "Come friends. It is time that we go forth. There are mysteries to uncover." The wizard said, an excited grin on her face. She was the first of us to take the steps into the forest, and I followed quickly after her. 

I was a bit surprised to receive a notification immediately upon entering the forest but was even more surprised to hear a sudden and utter silence fall over the forest and my other surroundings. The silence was one of those eerie ones where its suddenness makes it feel loud. 

My companions had also stopped moving, and the way that I was able to tell that this wasn't natural was when I looked at Calorron and saw that his feet were still. In mid-air. He was clearly artificially frozen. 

That was the moment I checked out the notification and got the answers to questions that were mentally on the tip of my tongue. 

[Intervention alert: 

The forest is still reacting to the mass-miracle you performed last night. The domain of time, one of the greater domains, has authorized the system to perform what is, in essence, a quiet intervention before you enter the forest. 

The lesser creatures of the forest, insects, some plants, and lesser animals, have recognized you as their master and savior. As have a handful of greater creatures throughout the forest. This would complicate things for you as you enter the forest. 

The domain of knowledge is strongly suggesting we don't reveal the precise nature of the elven investigation, but it has authorized us to ask you how you would like to proceed. Would you be fine allowing the forest creatures to recognize and react to you in your true might? 

Weirdly enough it is easier for simple creatures to react to your divinity and accept it, which normally advantages gods, hence why even the first tiers of influence over life-form subdomains tend to come with powers that grant mastery over lesser, unevolved lifeforms. Today, sadly, that is the problem.

Your intelligent followers in the forest will recognize you unless you actively wish to be hidden from their understanding and they'll be cautious to not rush towards you as long as you have the elves with you. The real question is do you wish to be hidden from your simple followers. Unevolved animals, the plants themselves, and other simple lifeforms. 

Do you wish to conceal your presence from those who serve you?] 

I quietly considered the question, before answering it in the affirmative. "I do wish, for now anyway, to not be recognized right away. Aside from by wolves. Direct wolves towards us, and deter other lesser animals. At least non-sapient ones. Allow my sapient followers to recognize me and be filled with awe and caution in my presence." I told the system. 

An instant later time was unfrozen. And the elves and I continued into the forest, uninterrupted by domains, subdomains, the system, or other, less powerful and more corporeal lifeforms.

Our expedition continued uneventfully as we strode far enough into the forest that the elves couldn't see out of the place. My immense senses confirmed that no nearby animals moved close to us, aside from a single wolf who was gradually coming closer and closer to me. 

We were deep enough in the forest that trees stretched around us in each direction. Strangely enough, these trees radiated a dim, silvery light which prevented the forest from being as dark as it ought to have been. The grass itself also felt thick and fuller than it had felt the day before.

It was at this point that my companions opted to finally begin to educate me as to what had brought them to my neck of the woods, in a very literal sense. 

"Althos, since you live in Comillas even if you're a newcomer, you should know a bit about what we're investigating." Began Farrane. I turned to look at her, my head tilting slightly to the left as I did so. 

"We're here on a potentially urgent, but by no means secret mission. Last night this forest radiated strange, distinct energy. It was unlike anything I had ever seen. Our elven thaumaturge-technology detected the ripples of power, but it wasn't magic. It was something else. Something... purer." Said Farrane, her voice filled with something resembling childlike wonder as she explained the purpose of the mission that brought the elves here. 

"We have been asked by our superiors to investigate this forest and determine exactly what happened last night. Our mission is not one we are ashamed of, and in fact, anything we find might be in the public interest of Comillas." She explained.

With each word of hers the wolf who was approaching us drew nearer and nearer. I smiled as I feigned listening attentively to Farrane. I heard her and registered her words, but I also knew now what I needed to know. They were almost certainly investigating me, albeit indirectly. 

I turned my mind to something else altogether now. I opened up my list of faith domain abilities in preparation for the creation of a dryad, what I needed to do to acquire the first tier of influence over the subdomain of Fagaceae, a tree-type subdomain. 

[Faith domain passive powers: 

Create lesser spirit: This power allows you to create spirits related to the domains you have influence over. You can create oreads and dryads at the moment. Using this power is necessary to gain influence over the spirit domain, one of the greater domains. 

Soul sensing: This power, a synergistic one that is the result of possessing access to the powers granted to you by virtue of your tier of influence over the knowledge domain, allows you to glean someone's soul and see specific information. 

Specifically, you'd be able to determine if someone would make for a good cleric, paladin, dark knight, templar, inquisitor, monk, or one of the pact classes, the witches, warlocks, and wards. 

Class granting: You can grant someone some of the religious classes. The classes you can currently grant are the cleric, witch/warlock/ward, templar, inquisitor, monks, paladin, and the dark knight classes.

With the exception of the monk, no secular equivalents of these classes exist in this universe. Lay-monks work as archivists and guardians of knowledge, but otherwise, these classes were some of the lost-classes, classes that have ceased to exist since the end of the mythic age.

Clerics are immensely devoted followers of the gods. They seek to enact the will of whatever god or goddess they follow, and see no greater purpose in their lives than that. Gods sent them omens, granted them magic, and told them their wills and the clerics served them faithfully and freely.

Witches, warlocks, and wards are the ambitious mortals and extraplanars who make pacts of servitude with gods, goddesses, or other higher beings. In exchange for servitude, the mortal or extraplanar pact-makers are granted magic and other unique class features dependent on the nature of their pacts and the nature of their patrons. Witches are female, warlocks are male, and wards are for creatures whose genders are not binary. 

Paladins and dark knights were the respectively good and evil-aligned servitors of gods and goddesses of their chosen alignments. They were the traveling champions of their deities and served as both mobile missionaries of their lords, as well as militant leaders of the armed forces of their chosen deities. Gods and goddesses granted them lesser divine powers as a way to reward their service and aid in their successes.

Templars were the lesser soldiers of their gods. These warriors had been convinced of godly glory and devoted their lives to service to their gods. Every templar sought to become a paladin or a dark knight eventually and prayed daily.

Inquisitors were the followers of gods and goddesses who sought to ensure that people obeyed the precepts of their faiths. They were the brutal enforcers of theocracies. Deities, no matter their alignments, had inquisitors, though how feared their inquisitors tended to be depended on the alignments of the gods and goddesses themselves. 

Monks were followers of gods of law and or knowledge who lived in cloistered communities and stored and protected all manner of knowledge. Religious monks often built orders devoted to specific types of knowledge, usually after asking their gods or goddesses for guidance. Secular monks exist who work for brotherhoods and sisterhoods that collect, archive, and protect all manner of knowledge.  

New classes: You now possess the 'God' and 'Patron' classes. These classes come with distinct features, which you can learn about later on by clicking on the 'Religion' symbol. The 'Patron' class relates to your abilities to make pacts with mortals and extraplanars. 

You can also learn more about the classes you can grant mortals if you wish by clicking on the 'Religion' symbol. The symbol is the shortcut to access all sorts of handy information about the various religions devoted to worshipping you in all sorts of ways. 

Demographic analysis: This power allows you to gain an understanding of who all worship you. It will grant you access to a considerable amount of information about your followers. 

Create teaching: By using this power you can begin to establish the more social and community-based aspects of the religions devoted to you and your glory. Upon using this power you'll be asked to select particular groups of worshipers and they'll automatically learn the teachings you impart on them.

Faith domain active powers: 

Religious fervor: This is the name of an unusual active power gained by any and all deities when they gain access to their faith domain powers. Using it causes you to create a zone of awe wherein those who witness your divine acts because more susceptible and more likely to become worshipers of yours. 

This potent power is one of the key abilities gained by gods at an early age. It works on any sentient creature regardless of their alignment and lowers their resistance to your worship. In essence, this power renders people more likely to find themselves in awe of your power and more likely to believe your claims that you are divine.  

At the lowest tier of influence over the faith domain, this is a short-range ability and one that isn't extremely strong but it's still an incredibly useful power that can speed the process of acquiring worshipers. 

This divine power can be used freely, but it cannot be incorporated into your aura. That said if your goal is to acquire worshipers and just that then this is the perfect power for you.

Unfettered divinity: This active power creates a small zone in which mortals are forced to accept the truth of your divinity. It doesn't force them to worship you, but it can be used if mortals insist on denying your divinity as a way to force them to reckon with the reality that you are divine. It can be used twice every 3.5 days and lasts for an hour when used.] 

I quietly activated my "Create lesser spirit power" and was surprised when my not-so-mini-map opened up and I was asked to select a spawning point for the dryad I was about to create.

Eons ago a devastating and apocalyptic battle took place that rocked every dark and loathsome corner of the multiverse. In the aftermath of the battle, deities, demon-lords, old ones, arch-devils, angel kings, and archon queens, not to mention other cosmically powerful entities were totally obliterated. Despite this history-changing occurrence, life found a way, and life went on in a godless multiverse for an unimaginable length of time. And in time, even the mightiest and most popular gods were nearly forgotten.

But one day, in a universe unlike our own, and altogether fantastic and magical universe, a deity is born. A new deity. A deity of a nebulous morality. Join the aforementioned morally unbound deity as he embarks on a quest to gain power, worshippers, and glory. 

This story features a deity as its protagonist, but it's a deity who starts off alone in a dark and harsh multiverse. He needs worshippers to grow in power and has to earn his victories intelligently. He seeks to gain worshippers, discover the truth behind his genesis, and become the deity he is meant to be. He is a protagonist who will hurt others, and he's unafraid to kill and destroy what he can't control. This is his story.
