John didn't explain any further. They would know everything soon enough in class.
After passing several buildings, Qin Guan and Cong Nianwei finally reached their favorite place: the library. The building was of a solemn, ancient style, unlike the rest of New York, which was very fancy. Human knowledge was stored there.
The library of the University of Columbia had the fifth largest collection of books in America. There were thousands of ancient books there. The floor and the chairs were made of brown wood, and there were also private, independent chambers. Students there had many choices.
Their class was a vocation course, yet half the seats were already taken. They made a quick visit to the library and then left.
"The library is open 23 hours a day. The staff arranges the returned books during that one hour. You can study here anytime."
"The bad news is, although the library can hold hundreds of students, it’s usually impossible to find a spare seat on weekdays."
"This university is very academic. You’ll see when you get to your first class."
Words couldn’t do justice to the reality of the situation. Most Chinese students, who were the most diligent guys in Asia, would not listen to the seniors’ stories. As a result, they would cry later in class.
 At the end of their tour, they saw a strange iron gate.
It was black with European characteristics, so it stood out in the university. Qin Guan and Cong Nianwei looked at John curiously, waiting for his explanation.
John shrugged helplessly. "It’s Barnard College."
"It’s an independent girls-only college inside our university. The girls can apply for a degree from Columbia University after their graduation. We do not recognize their diplomas though. All their professors and staff are independent from our university. We call their college a younger sister. If you are not clever enough, you could apply to this college."
Suddenly, he looked up proudly. I’m a proud student of Columbia University!
Qin Guan saw some freshmen going out. They were wearing purple summer uniforms with a bear symbol on them. Interesting. It was different from the lion of Columbia University.
It was just like a small college in Peking University. The students shared all the resources on campus, including the library and the gym.
Suddenly, John told Qin Guan in secret, "The girls there all engage in art. They are the most beautiful girls in the US, and they like to date students from our university. Understand?"
I understand nothing. My girlfriend is here, and I don't want to die.
They walked out of the gate with their shoulders touching, fighting playfully. Outside was Broadway Street.
The setting sun cast an orange light on the street, which was quiet during peak time.
 They unconsciously headed west. Unlike most universities in the US, Columbia University had fences. That was because there was a river by the side gate.
Purple flowers decorated the bank. On the other side of the river was the noisy urban area.
"Thank you for showing us around. See you in class!"
They said goodbye on the path along the river. This was the splendid paradise they would be striving in in the future.
Qin Guan and Cong Nianwei decided to walk along the river towards Broadway Street before concluding their trip.
There were simple restaurants all along the street. Cheap fast food, like hamburgers and fries, was popular among the students. Breakfast there cost only 1.99 dollars.

The next morning was just as beautiful. Taking their student cards with them, they walked in different directions, starting off the new semester.
Following his timetable, Qin Guan went to his first classroom. He saw a Chinese cup, a clean handkerchief and a vintage cigar case on the professor’s desk.
What kind of person is our professor? He sure has a strange style!
When most students had taken their seats, Professor Martin entered the classroom leisurely. Those things on the desk must have been arranged by Kuhn. Martin cast a favorable glance at the first row, where a young man with blonde hair and blue eyes was sitting. He was grinning at Martin.
Martin sighed at him helplessly. Then he saw a boy with thick glasses. Xu Xiaoxiao, Kuhn’s friend, also passed the postgraduate exams. Good boy!
Where is my Chinese boy? Is he late for his first class?
Martin couldn’t find Qin Guan. Forget it. I’ll call names first.
"Kuhn?"
"Here!"
"Qin Guan?"
"Here!"


Qin Guan was reborn and sent back to his final semester in High School 18 years ago. Getting a second chance at life, he works hard to turn things around and eventually become a Prince Charming. What will his life be like the second time around? What will he have to go through? How will he succeed in turning from a loser into a Prince Charming? Read this story carefully and find out!

	Yao Yuan awoke to Barbie’s voice. He looked at his watch and it showed 2.30 pm. After a simple bathroom ritual, he left for a 4th floor conference room to join the discussion on the Hope’s external cabin. 
	After several months of construction, the first external cabin was finally ready. Its size was 1/10 of the Hope’s 6th floor biomes. The space would be perfect for a cattle farm, which could increase the Hope’s daily milk production by 2 to 3 times. 
	However, due to the wide range of products processed by the Hope, its Department of Agriculture had birthed many sub-committees. There were committees for vegetable products, wheat products, meat products, animal by-products, and luxury products like coffee, cocoa, as well as tobacco, and every single one of them was vying for this valuable space. 
	The discussion was thus sidetracked by intra-departmental politics and sarcastic barbs. This was Yao Yuan’s first taste of western policy-making, where each committee had their own say to the matter. For example, representatives from the staple food committee proclaimed that the Hope’s food storage was still below the safety line, so they would face food shortage if there was calamity. 
	The committee for luxury products, on the other hand, invited an economist to give a speech on the negative impacts a decrease in luxury products would have on the Hope’s overall economy… The discussion dragged on with each committee plying for the spot until Yao Yuan dictatorially decided to use the external cabin to farm animal by-products like milk and eggs. Yao Yuan sighed inwardly, knowing that chaos was going to repeat when the next cabin was ready. 
	The discussion concluded at around 4.30 PM. As Yao Yuan exited the room, he murmured, "Goodness, Barbie, don’t you westerners have a sense of organizational discipline? But… then again, I’ve witnessed the presence of such discipline working as a company headhunter."
	Barbie covered her mouth and giggled. "The difference between the two is obvious. There is oftentimes no worker protection when you work for a company. The higher-ups could willy-nilly let a general worker or even a manager go. One could complain, but that would normally be to no avail. The best you can do is accept the severance deal and quickly look for your next meal ticket.
	"A governmental posting is wildly difference. A president can’t just let his or her cabinet ministers go without proper justification. This is especially true for a democratic society because the public backlash would be devastating. The president would have little chance of getting re-elected."
	Barbie stopped and turned to look at the animal by-products committee members who were just leaving. They had smiles all over their faces. After they were a distance away, Barbie continued, "For some reason, when you first drafted the government officers, you purposely avoided putting Chinese officials at leadership posts. Many of them had the relevant experience, but you didn’t even give them a committee leader post. Therefore, most of the leaders in the agriculture department are westerners. Furthermore, they are familiar with your temperament, so it’s only natural that everyone gave it their all to stake a claim for their own group."
	"My temperament? And what would that be?" Yao Yuan asked curiously.
	"You are what we call a ‘fake dictator,’ and that’s a compliment." Barbie giggled. "Even though you’ve proclaimed a dictatorial governing style, there have been policies like the creation of House of Representatives and policies that strive for cultural assimilation. Furthermore, other than important positions, like department leaders, all the other government postings require intra-departmental recommendations, and those are decidedly democratic. All of this combined makes you a ‘fake dictator.’"
	Yao Yuan rubbed his nose self-consciously, but he didn’t directly rebut Barbie. Instead, he said, "That’s because I have not shown my dictator side yet. Furthermore, the word ‘dictator’ has many nuances in its meaning… Actually, never mind that. Plus, aren’t you going to ask why I purposely put those Chinese officers at the lowest level? The reasoning’s mighty complicated, but here, I’ll try to explain it with a joke. 
	"Once upon a time, an infamous drug lord was captured by Interpol. He was temporarily detained after his trial at the international court while he awaited his transport to his country of origin. In that period, he befriended his fellow cellmate, who was a turncoat emissary. During one of their conversations, the drug lord asked, ‘Right, we’ve been talking for so long, but I still don’t know why are you in here, and what country did you work for again?’
	"After a long and pregnant silence, the emissary replied, ‘I’m a Chinese government officer…’
	"The drug lord paused and then nodded in commiseration, ‘Okay, I get it…’"
	Barbie turned to Yao Yuan with a confused face. She frowned, waiting for the punch-line before finally conceding. "Wait, that’s it? Unlike the drug lord, I don’t think I get it."
	Yao Yuan laughed heartily in response. "No matter, it’s okay if you don’t get it." He massaged his temples and continued, "If there’s nothing else, I will have a simple dinner and resume my sleep. The analysis on the alien object should be ready by tomorrow morning, right?"
	Barbie replied, "Then, Captain, I’m afraid you might have to miss your sleep tonight. The preliminary result on the object is back… and it said that the scientists have identified the object’s purpose… or rather, the object has revealed its own purpose…"
	"Pat, pat, pat."
	Yao Yuan clapped his hands wordlessly. Just like what the scientists reported, the metallic sphere that sat on the table cracked open on its own to release a soft melody. An indistinctive voice could be heard intermingled within the melody, but it didn’t appear to be human-sounding. It was too sing-songy for normal conversation; it sounded more like someone or something was singing a Broadway musical. 
	"This is it? The thing that we’ve risked our lives for is a damn music box?" Yao Yuan turned around with a stern expression, questioning the scientists in the room with his finger still pointing at the music box.
	The scientists too held frustrated expressions. They were also hoping for something valuable or practical, like computer hard disc, weaponry, engines, or surveillance probes. The fact that they had ended up with a mere music box didn’t sit well with them either. 
	However, one of the scientists replied instantly, "Captain, please continue listening. This is not just a music box. It is a recorder as well. At around 27 minutes, when the music stops for shuffle, you can hear some alien speech."
	Reining in his annoyance, Yao Yuan pulled over a chair and sat down to listen. 
	Slowly, he started to appreciate the soft-flowing melody. It gave him a sense of freedom, freedom of floating carefree through endless space. However, the freedom also hid an undercurrent of sadness, especially when paired with the vocals of the female singer. Even though the vocals were begrudgingly high-pitched, like it came from the undeveloped voice box of a child, Yao Yuan had to admit that the singer had a soothing and graceful voice. 
	When the last tune ended, the sounds of clapping could be heard from the music box. It was then followed by a male sing-songy voice. In comparison, the vocal range of this second voice was much greater than the first one. Under normal circumstances, Yao Yuan would come to the conclusion that the male was a veteran Broadway star while the female was a young talent. 
	"More singing?" Yao Yuan asked, with more than a hint of annoyance. 
	However, what he heard next overturned that suspicion. After the male voice fell off, the female, childlike voice replied in a similar sing-songy manner. It sounded like they were singing to one another without musical accompaniment. However, the giggles and breaks in the female voice that sounded suspiciously like a child asking for praise proved that the recording was mostly likely a conversation between a grown alien male and a young alien female. 
	The conversation continued for quite some time until it ended with two resounding claps. 
	Yao Yuan stood up and said, "An alien language… Sadly, we can’t translate it, or else I’m sure we could extract valuable information, like their societal structure, from the conversation…"
	The scientist laughed bitterly to himself. "Lieutenant Colonel, there’s still some more…"
	"Huh, there’s more?"
	Yao Yuan sat back down to continue listening. The recording on the music box was interspersed with clapping sounds, and following the claps would either be the alien female singing or she would be talking to herself. The male alien had a much stingier appearance. Just like that, Yao Yuan sat patiently listening for one and a half hours. Just before he lost his patience, another clap happened, but this time, it was followed by the sound of a small explosion. 
	That shocked Yao Yuan out of his reverie, and he started to pay close attention to what followed next. 
	After the explosion, the sound of the female alien came back on, but this time she sounded like she was crying. She was saying something haltingly, but it was muffled by her crying and the unfamiliarity of the alien language. The sounds of the explosion got increasingly louder as it got closer, and the same was with the girl’s crying. Nevertheless, she was repeating the same syllables like a broken record. 
	Finally, the girl shouted the syllables before it was drowned out by an ear-splitting explosion. The sphere instantly shrunk back to its original form, a fist-sized ball, signaling that it had finished playing the recording. 
	Yao Yuan sighed deeply. He asked hesitantly, "That last recording… that’s a sound bite from when the spaceship fleet was destroyed, right?"
	The scientist beside him nodded reluctantly, then he added, "By comparing and contrasting every part of the recording, we managed to figure out the meaning of the syllables. She said that every time the male voice appeared, so that leads us to believe that the few syllables she kept repeating until the end was…
	"Father, or more accurately… daddy."


Endless sky and infinite space, the cosmos isn’t some paradise waiting to be found, it is full of darkness and danger, death and terror of the great unknown. However, for that glittering swath of blue, we have no fear! For the longevity of men, we have no regrets! Nothing shall stand in our way because it is finally our time, our age! The age of cosmos exploration! 


When Chi died in the mortal 21st century world, she ultimately finds herself in the Heavenly Spiritual World thanks to the youngest prince of the Emperor of Heaven.  

She is to be the personal attendant of the young prince which causes way too many young maids to be jealous.

Thus they shut her up into a forbidden room and it automatically sealed itself up.  

Luckily for Chi, the room happens to be the secret Palace library in which she explored and skimmed the books before finding an amazing spell which allows her mind to connect with the Internet from her previous life.  With that, she spent several centuries exploring the Internet, streaming videos, reading fiction, and listening to music while cultivating with the most basic of lessons. 

By the time someone releases her, Chi discovers that her power level matches to that of the Emperor himself!  Luckily, she is still considered to be the youngest prince's personal attendant so the two spend many happy centuries as master and servant.  

Unfortunately, Chi ends up spoiling her young prince with spiritually rich meals, competent work, and the ability to make connections with benefits.  Thus she gets no vacation time.  

When the young prince gets incarnated into a mortal being as is the rite of passage for young deities, he cheats his way into remembering his old life and calls on Chi to help him deal with his mortal life.

Having no choice, she pops down to the mortal world whenever her master calls upon her for the most basic of orders.  Cooking foods that fits his tastes, drawing out spirit rich baths, cleaning his clothes, and helping him escape from persist young ladies.  

However, when her master orders her to incarnate into a mortal to become a maid for a mortal girl he fancies; Chi refuses.  No way in Hell would she be a mortal again - especially in a world where there has been barely any change in evolution or technology for the past several millenia.

Furious that his loyal personal attendant refusing his order with good reason, the prince manages to find a way to get her into the mortal world - transmigration.

Therefore, Chi is forced to be transmigrated into the mortal world.

At least she still has her power level, her fatty armor, her Cauldren of Broken, and several other items from home.  If Chi was going to suffer being in the mortal world, she was going to suffer in style.  

As the personal attendant of a Heavenly Imperial Prince, Chi might as well help out with his love life.

After closing the deal, Hans and Chicano shook hands in parting.
Once they were out of the building, Li Du asked, "Who did you sell the umbrella to? Has the price been settled?"
He had asked as he felt that Hans was acting uncharacteristically.
It was true that treasure hunters valued their honor and that once a deal had been established, they could not back out.
The deal for the umbrella would normally still be up for negotiation. Under such circumstances, based on Li Du’s understanding of Hans, in order to pick the best buyer, he should have at least found out what Chicano’s offer was.
To answer Li Du’s question, Hans said, "A buyer has been found, but the price has not been set."
Li Du was puzzled. "Then why did you not find out Chicano’s offer?"
Hans pointed at his head. "Bro, the mind is a wonderful thing—"
"Spit it out!"
"Alright, alright. Just like the Spirit of Ecstasy, there is a serial number on the umbrella too, and the one on it could not be changed. If he were to see the number and realize it did not match that of the hood ornament, what would he think?
"Also, this fella didn’t really want to buy the umbrella—he was testing our integrity. So I presented the image of a rule-abiding, trustworthy businessman. He’s satisfied and so are we. That’s how we’ve got ourselves a closed deal."
Li Du nodded. Indeed, Chicano had only asked a few superficial questions relating to the umbrella and had stopped asking once Hans rejected him.
If Chicano had really been interested in the umbrella, he would not have given up so easily.
Although he had the little bug’s assistance, Li Du lamented that he still had a long way to go in terms of mastering this trade.
Having left the building, they went in search of a hotel to rest in—the transaction for the umbrella was to happen later that night.
In the evening, after dinner, Hans took them on a bus ride into a bustling street.
"This is Broadway, buddy. You didn’t see it the last time—now you can take a good look."
As Li Du pressed his face against the window, he asked, "Where are we going?"
"To your hometown," Hans answered.
Li Du reacted immediately. "LA’s Chinatown?"
"Yeah."
After traveling north for less than one mile, they arrived in Chinatown.
LA’s Chinatown was adjacent to the former city center. It was one of the several major Chinese enclaves on the west coast of America. Large numbers of immigrants from China lived in and around here.
Nowadays, Chinatown was no longer only meant for the Chinese. Many immigrants from all parts of Asia liked to live there. Chinatown had also gradually become where the American public would show respect for and recognition of Asian culture.
Since the second half of the 20th century, the number of Chinese immigrants in LA had surged and Chinatown was divided into three separate parts.
Among them, the one they were going to visit was the oldest, where Chinese immigrants from Guangfu had relocated. The other two were "Little Taipei," with mainly Taiwanese people, and "New Chinatown," dominated by new immigrants who had come to LA in the 21st century.
This Chinatown had adopted the traditional Chinese architectural style, with an antique palatial archway at the entrance, red lanterns flanking the streets, and shop signs all in Chinese characters.
After getting off the bus, Hans said to Big Quinn, "Dude, put on your sunglasses and show the bayonet—at least reveal the handle."
Big Quinn did as he was told, looking like a vicious man walking behind them.
Li Du was puzzled. "Why?"
Hans explained, "The public order’s not too good here—we need Big Quinn to suppress these jerks."
Li Du questioned, "We Chinese have a gentle temperament. Is the public order at the meeting place no good?"
"In any case, I saw the news: the rate of violent crimes in LA has increased by 21 percent since last year, with the rate of crimes in urban areas and Chinatown having increased by 67 percent over the same period."
As they walked, Li Du understood why Hans had wanted to bring Big Quinn along.
The public order in Chinatown was indeed not good. Before night had fallen, many youths with resentful looks were already weaving in and out of the streets.
Studying them, he saw that they were not just Chinese people, but Vietnamese, Indonesian, Korean, and Japanese people as well. Although they were all Asians, it was not difficult for Li Du to tell the Chinese, Vietnamese, Indonesians, and Myanmese people apart based on their looks.
A few youths who were smoking started to walk toward Li Du, who was dressed in high-end clothing. But when they saw the King Kong lookalike, Big Quinn, they stopped.
It was Big Quinn’s first time in Chinatown and he felt he was carrying a huge responsibility. So he had revealed more of the bayonet—the entire handle was exposed.
Li Du sighed, "What kind of buyer did you find this time? Why do we have to deal at night?"
"The other party requested the time," Hans said, "so I brought Big Quinn. The deal may not go through. He’s one of those explorers, who are all desperate types."
As he spoke, he searched on the map and finally found a shop called "The Tang Dynasty Chamber of Abundance."
On seeing the shop’s name, Li Du burst out laughing.
"What is it?" Hans asked.
Li Du pointed at the signboard. "Do you know what’s written here?"
"Of course I don’t. How would I know how to read Chinese characters?" Hans said, exasperated.
Li Du glared at him, "I’m only asking—before explaining it to you."
Hans pushed his hand away. "Then hurry up and explain."
"It says ‘The Tang Dynasty Chamber of Abundance.’ This is probably a pawnshop. ‘Chamber of Abundance’ is another term for pawnshop, which originated from the Tang Dynasty. Then it was called ‘Chamber of Materials.’"
Hans was confused. "Right, and what’s so funny?"
With a tinge of resignation, Li Du said, "Just that this name is a little ridiculous."
"That’s right, the name’s ridiculous," a hoarse voice was heard, speaking Mandarin. "F*cker, nobody’s blaming you—acting cultured and all."
With the voice, a well-built middle-aged man walked out.
The middle-aged man looked to be about 40 years old, with a short, neatly-trimmed beard, rough-looking skin, and razor-sharp eyes. He walked with authority, giving the impression of a tough guy.
He glanced at the trio, with no change in expression—even when he saw Big Quinn. However, as his gaze swept downward, he frowned upon seeing the bayonet. "Butcher? Interesting."
Li Du did not wish to cause any misunderstandings. This middle-aged man gave off a fearsome air—if matters were to blow up, Big Quinn might not be able to hold him back.
Hence, he hurriedly said, "How are you? We’re here for business, to sell an umbrella.
　　


They love gold, and they love silver. Even more so, they love gems that dazzle, like stars across the skies. 
Firearms, jewelleries, and precious metals; A collector’s world will not be complete without antiques.  
Storage auctions, old goods trade, re-estate sales and gold-digging. But the truth is, if one wants to make money, then the supreme way is through searching for the legendary treasures. 
Holding the fort, there’s an ocelot, a wolf, and an Andes condor. At the side, there’s a loyal hound, an irascible ape, and an African honey badger. Who said that you can only rely on humans when treasure hunting?! 

The shop in the terminal had the magazine everywhere. It sucked when someone you were seeing was famous. He was on the front page of multiple tabloids apparently dating twin lingerie models. 

"Oh love, don't look at those pictures. Let's get some snacks and get the fuck out of here." Momo soothed.

Momo never particularly liked Nick. She did admit Lia was less of a monster when he was present in her life though.

When boarding the flight, the attendant notified them they'd been upgraded to first class. The excitement on Momo's face was priceless.

"Wow, did you do this?" She whispered as they clinked their glasses in a cheer.

The small bubbles floated quickly from bottom to top. Lia shook her head, "I bet it was Uncle. He feels better when I travel in comfort."

"I'm not complaining!" Momo smiled, half her glass down in one swig.

"Bon appétit!" The stewardess brought them warm, steaming plates of delicious food.

"We didn't order this, I've got an allergy to -"

"It was preordered, your shellfish allergy has been taken into account and we assure you nothing has come in contact."

"Your uncle really spoils you!" Momo gawked, digging into her plate.

After only an hour and a half, they were coasting over the gorgeous city. A fog settled over the area leaving the tall buildings peeking out. It looked like a city built on the clouds. 
 
"Wow, it's so beautiful!" Momo inhaled sharply.

Lia had forgotten that Momo had never been to New York before. She'd have to remember to take her to Broadway before they left.

The got their bags from the baggage claim and decided to hail a taxi. Before they could exit the baggage area, they noticed a sign that read Ceasar.

"Uncle sent us a car." Lia said dryly.

"How do you know?" Momo looked around curiously.

"Uncle's last name is Caesar. He thinks he's a descendant of Julius Caesar." He didn't think, he knew. They'd done extensive blood tests and he was a direct descendant. 

"No way! That is so cool!" Momo gushed accidentally bumping into a stranger, "Watch where you're going!"

The stranger kept walking, they didn't apology and didn't look back. Some people could be so naive.

The government has sanctioned a new profession. Mercenary. Our lead character keeps herself busy. Besides her killing contracts, she teaches elementary school, volunteers at shelters, and has an element of romance in her life. If you can call it a romance. (WARNING: Themes that may disturb readers! Read with caution!)

The Yang Clan Family Company, one of the largest companies limited to Hell's Kitchen, owned many restaurants, ports, land, and buildings.

But anyone in Chinatown knows that this company was just a publicity facade for one of the biggest gangs in Hell's Kitchen, Gang of Axes or the colloquial Yangzi gonshi.

The Golden Sands restaurant chain was one of Yangzi gonshi's most successful works, and is specially supervised by Hai Qing yang, the current leader of the Yangzi gonshi gang.

Currently, on the top floor of Golden Sands Restaurant, 35 East Broadway, Chinatown, Hai Qing yang was watching a football match with a group of 10 of his elite subordinates.

Everyone in the group had strong gang loyalty and great fighting skills, so they often joke around (except Hai Qing yang).

Butler Ruffy didn't say why Ashley was asking for him. He figured that it's alright for him to have a quick bite. He was about to take a quick bite of the bread, but butler Ruffy stopped him.
"Leave that there. You go to the dining room, and ma'am is waiting!" He ordered without telling him why.
Tiny's face continued to droop as his stomach ached. But he can't do anything when his lady boss is calling him.

"Good morning, ma'am Ashley! You called for me?" Tiny said as his eyes glanced at the food on the table. 'Wow! Roasted chicken, corned beef, bacon, eggs, beef-tapa, fried fish, and whatnot! How in the wold ma'am Ashley could eat it all?' Tiny thought as his stomach grumbles.
"Good morning to you too! What are you waiting for? Sit down!" Ashley said seriously, while slightly smiling.
Tiny was going to decline the offer. He didn't think it would look good for Ashley. He doesn't want the other household-help to disrespect her, seeing that she is eating at the same time with the help.
"Ma'am Ashley..." He wasn't able to finish what he was about to say. Butler Ruffy and Inday arrived.
"Inday, you sit next to ma'am so you can take care of her. And you, Tiny, sit here beside me. Let's sit down, so ma'am could eat! She's been kind enough to wait for all of us." Ruffy said as he sat down so they could start eating.
When they were all seated, butler Ruffy wanted to make sure that the two understand the situation.
"Tiny, Inday! Keep this in mind, we are eating with her right now as per request. However, this will be the first and last time we will do this. We cannot abuse her kindness, do you understand?!" Butler Ruffy sternly told the two who was busy shoving food in their mouth. 
He was only telling them that so they don't forget that Ashley is their boss, and they should not abuse her kindness. 
"Yes, sir!" Both said in unison without raising their head. They continued enjoying the feast in front of them.
Butler Ruffy continued his sermon as he also shoves food in his mouth. He didn't even realize that no one was paying attention to him. The trio was busy eating while they gossip about the Broadway show that Ashley watches the night before.

Little did they know that Ashley's suspicions were right. When Chef saw that Ashley had dined and invited only the three of them, he went to their dining room and called all of the household-help and gathered them together to have a meeting while the four were eating.
He expressed his grievance to them without delay. Everyone listened intently and quietly to the Chef. Once he let it all out, they have mixed feelings and argue about how they should treat Ashley.
But suddenly butler Ruffy came and explained what and why. "Chef, ma'am Ashley ordered me to tell you to prepare the same food that you prepared for her this morning. Share it among all of you!" 
When Everyone heard what butler Ruffy said, they were impressed with Ashley's kindness, and it heightens their respect for her.
"Butler Ruffy, please forgive us if we think anything bad about ma'am Ashley for a moment." Said the Chef apologetically, unable to look at him straight up.
Everyone began speaking at the same time apologizing for their dirty thoughts. Butler Ruffy had to raise his hands to stop them from speaking at the same time. Once everyone stopped talking, he looked at the Chef to make sure he follows through his order.
"Alright! Alright!, do what ma'am Ashley had asked for you to do. Remember, you must prepare the same exactly what you had prepared for ma'am Ashley. Do you understand?" He said sternly with a smile, before turning around to go back out to the hallway.
