Started it for fun, I know it shit please give some feedback so I can improve it :)

The story is about a guy lived his comfortable life in a forest, then an unknown girl appeared out of nowhere which has led to the radical downfall of the guy's normal lifestyle.

Mr. Smith could not understand the reason for his reincarnation. First, he was not a native of any Asian country, much less Chinese. Second, he did not fit any of the characteristics commonly seen in the protagonists of the Chinese stories.

He was damn sure he did not have any kind of trauma, nor was he an exceptional reader of novels, otaku, nor was he killed by anyone. He neither had the dream nor wanted to be reincarnated in a fictional world. He was happy with his life, of course, some days were worse than others but he did not have anything to complain

However, there he was in one of the few novels he had read from start to the last page. Not as the protagonist, not even as some main or even secondary character.

But alas, he had no choice but to try to be the best.

Uminom ng tea si Luo Feng sa loob ng tahimik ng video room na iyon. Pero ang kaniyang mga mata ay nakatitig sa napakalaking screen sa dingding ng video recording room: "20 million Chinese dollars? Dumating nga ang perang ipinangako ng dojo of limits sa akin" Makikita ang isang row ng mga pindutan sa itaas na bahagi ng webpage.
Ang isa sa mga button ay paulit ulit na nagfaflast at may sinasabi na "You have two new messages"
Magaang pinindot ni Luo Feng ang touch screen ng wireless keyboard para buksan ang mga bago niyang mga messages.
[HUA!]
Bumukas ang unang message at lumabas ang isang video message sa screen.
"Hello Mr. Luo Feng" sabi ng isang middle aged na lalaking nakasuot ng black suit na makikita sa video sa screen ng video room. Ngumiti siya at sinabing "Ako ng apala ang assistant ni Chief Zhu Ge. Nagtapos na ang video matapos niyang magsalita.
"Kasisimula ko palang pero maganda na ang nagiging trato ng Dojo of Limits sa akin" at binuksan ni Luo Feng ang pangalawang video message.
Ang pangalawang message ay naglalaman din ng video.
"Hello sa iginagalang na bagong fighter ng Dojo of Limits na si 'Luo Feng'. Galing nga pala ako sa Dojo of Limits at winewelcome kita sa napakalaki nating pamilya na ito" nakangiting sabi ng babaeng may mabait na itsura "Ito ang unang beses na makapasok ka sa internal network ng Dojo of Limits—Home of Limits! Hayaan mo akong ipaliwanag sa iyo kung ano ang iba't ibang gamit ng Home of Limits" 
"Ang una dito ay puwede kang bumili ng iba't ibang mga sandata, techniques, agility scrolls at offensive scrolls gaya ng blade scrolls, spear scrolls, sword scrolls, etc. Mayroon ding mga heated weapons , transportation tools, protective gears, communication systems, special bombs, special medicines, genetic medicines... "May dalawang paraan para makakuha ng contribution points"

Mayroong limit na 100 billion sa pagdodonate? At pag lumampas ka na rito ay hindi na sila tatanggap ng kahit 1 dollar mula sa iyo? Mukhang ang 100 billion ay halos kabuohang yaman na ng pinakamayamang tao sa China. Ayon sa Forbes ranking sa pinakamayamang tao sa mundo. Ang pinakamayamang tao ay may yaman lamang na 120 billion American dollars na katumbas ng 420 billion Chinese dollars.
Nirarank lang siyempre ng Forbes ang mga taong kilala dahil sa kanilang yaman. Pero may iilan ding mga malalaking pamilyang may ipong higit na mas malaki kaysa sa pinakamayayamang tao sa mundo. Pero ito na ang kabuohang yaman ng buo nilang pamilya.
"Pinapaalalahanan po kita Mr. Luo Feng na ang pinakamagandang paraan para makakuha ng contribution points ay ang pagpatay ng mga halimaw. Dahil bukod sa mga contribution points na makukuha mo ay maaari ka ring kumite ng pera" nakangiting sabi ng babae sa video "Hindi porke mayroon ka ng malaking perang panimula ay bibili ka na ng kung ano anong mga gamit at contribution points. Talagang napakaraming gamit ng internal network na 'Home of Limits'. Ang bagay na nakapagbigay interes kay Luo Feng ay ang paggamit mo ng sarili mong pera para maturuan ng isang warlord o maging isang wargod level fighter ng one on one sa pamamagitan ng internet.

Kahit na mayroon na siyang 20 million Chinese dollars ay hindi nagmadali na bumili ng kahit na anong gamit o sandata si Luo Feng. Sinanay niya muna ang kaniyang sarili sa paggamit ng Home of Limits internal network. Napakaraming gamit ng Home of Limits website kabilang ang mga boards na ito: pagkuha ng mga misyon, pagpost ng mga misyong nais mong ipagawa sa iba, pakikipagchat, training at pagdodonate.
Pero may dalawang malalaking boards na nakapangbigay interes kay Luo Feng. Ito ay ang 'Fighter discussions' at 'internet market' boards.
Makikita sa loob ng internet market ang lahat ng uri ng Dao Yin technique scrolls, agility scrolls, blade scrolls, mga heated weapons, mga chilled weapons, mga genetic medicines, ang Luo Wan Xiang* etc. Sa madaling salita, ang internet market ay isang lugar kung saan ay puwede mong gastusin ang naipon mong pera para makabili ng mga kapakipakinabang na mga bagay.

Pinindot ni Luo Feng ang board at nakita niya ang isang thread na may pangalang "Basic Fighter Knowledge Database". Nakalagay sa thread na ito na walang reply ang napakaraming impormasyon na kakailanganin ng isang baguhang fighter.
"Spirit reader, spirit reader....."
Nagpatuloy sa pagsscroll si Luo Feng sa page sa paghahanap ng kahit na anong introduction para sa mga spirit readers, nang sa wakas-
"Huh? Ito ba ay"
Nakita ni Luo Feng ang isang section "A basic sketch on spirit readers"
"Mga kapatid, hindi lingid sa kaalaman ko na kakaunti lang ang kaalaman ng karamihan sa inyo tungkol sa mga spirit readers kaya ngayon ay bibigyan ko kayo ng isang basic introduction tungkol sa mga ito" Natawa si Luo Feng matapos niyang basahin ang unang sentence sa section. Malinaw na ngayon sa kaniya na ang mga impormasyon na makikita sa fighter database na ito ay nanggaling lamang sa iba't ibang mga fighters kaya hindi ito masyadong pormal.
"Ang mga spirit readers ay ang pinakakinatatakutang grupo ng mga fighters"
"Una, hindi masasanay ang sarili mo para maging isang spirit reader. Ang bawat spirit reader ay natural na gifted at lumalabas ang kapangyarihan nilang ito sa pamamagitan lamang ng kanilang mga sarili!" ang pananalitang ginamit sa post na iyon ay mag pagka casual "Bago lumabas ang tunay nilang kakayahan ay kapantay lamang sila ng isang pangkaraniwang fighter. Pero pagkatapos nitong lumabas sa kanilang sarili….. wala nang kahit sinong pangkaraniwang fighter ang makakapantay sa kanila!"
"At bakit sila ganito?"
"Dahil una, mayroong dalawang klase ng mga spirit readers. Ang isang uri ay may kapangyarihan ng telekinesis. Sa madaling salita ay kaya nilang kontrolin ang kahit na anong bagay gaya ng isang karayon o isang blade para gumawa ng mga long ranged na mga atake! Ang mga bagay na kinokontol ng telekinesis ay higit na mag malakas kaysa sa mga bala galing sa isang heavy sniper rifle. Ang mga bala mula sa sniper rifle ay tumatama ng diretso mula sa pinanggalingan nito. Pero para sa mga bagay na kinokontrol ng mga spirit readers, malaya nilang napapagalaw ang mga ito saan man nila gustuhin pero nakadepende rin dito ang pinsala ng mga ito.
"Halimbawa, may mga limits sa pinsalang kayang gawin ng mga bala mula sa isang machine gun o isang heavy sniper rifle. Ang isang top grade sniper rifle ay magkakaroon ng problema sa pagpatay sa isang basic level commander. Pero ang lakas ng isang karayom o blade na kinokontrol ng isang spirit reader ay nakadepende base sa spiritual force nito! Maraming mga spirit readers ang kayang makapatay ng mga horde leaders*"

"At bukod sa uri ng mga spirit readers na gumagamit ng telekinesis, ang pangalawang uri ng mga spirit reader ay gumagamit ng kanilang mga spiritual force sa pagatake!"
"Mas misterioso ang uring ito ng mga spirit readers. Direkta silang aatake sa kaluluwa ng mga halimaw. Kapag nagtagumpay sila ay mamamatay na lang bigla ang halimaw nang walang kahit anong bakas ng dugo o sugat sa kanilang mga katawan! Pero sadyang napakahirap atakihin sa isang kaluluwa, kaya naririnig ko na napakadalang ng mga spirit readers na gumagamit ng 'Spiritual Attack' technique.
"Maliban sa 'Telekinesis' at 'Spiritual attacker' na mga spirit readers ay may iba pang mga spirit readers na may mas marami pang alam na mga techniques. Pero wala akong masyadong alam tungkol sa mga iyon"
Binasa at inintindi ni Luo Feng ang bawat salita ng walang mintis.
"Pero may isang bagay akong kinaiingitan sa mga spirit readers, ito ang kanilang growth rate! Natural na mayroong napakalakas na spiritual force ang mga spirit readers. Kaya nga lang hindi ito kayang ihandle ng kanilang mga katawan hanggang sa lumakas ito ng lumakas at dumating sa puntong kaya na nitong ihandle ang spiritual force na tinatanglay ng taong ito. Sa puntong ito, magsisimula ang pagpapakita ng spiritual force sa katawan at isip ng taong ito!"
"At kapag mas malakas ang katawan ng isang spiritual reader ay mas maraming spiritual force din ang kaya nitong ihandle!"
"Ang mga fighter levels ng isang warrior ay (beginner, intermediate at advanced), warlord (beginner, intermediate, advanced, at wargod (beginner, intermediate, advanced) 9 na magkakaibang levels sumatutal! Ang may dalawang level ang pagitan ng body fitness level ng isang spiritual reader sa kanilang spiritual force. Halimbawa, kung sang isang spirit reader ay may pangangatawan ng isang beginner warrior, ang spiritual force nito ay katumbas na ng sa isang advanced warrior! At kung ang pangangatawan naman ng isang spirit reader ay katumbas ng isang intermediate warrior, ang spiritual force naman nito ay katumbas na ng beginner warlord….."
"Napakabilis ng mga growth rate ng mga spirit readers!"
"Sadyang napakalakas ng spiritual force ng isang spiritual reader kaya kadalasan ay natutulog lang ito sa kanilang subconsciousness! At habang lumalakas ang kanilang katawan ay lalong magpapakita ang natutulog nitong spiritual foce…. Kaya ko nasabi kanina na habang lumalakas ang iyong katawan ay mas malakas din ang tatanglayin mong spiritual force…. Hanggang umabot sa isang araw kung saan tuluyan nang naipakita ng spiritual force ang kaniyang sarili sa spirit reader. Ito na ang oras kung saan magsisimula nang bumagal ang growth rate ng isang spirit reader"
Noong mabasa niya ang parteng ito ay wala nang ibang magawa si Luo Feng kundi magdalawang isip.
Kaya pala…..
Habang lumalakas ang spirit reader ay unti unti ring nagpapakita ang natutulog nitong spiritual force hanggang umabot sa puntong naipakita na nito ang kaniyang buong sarili sa spirit reader. Tanging ang malakas na pangangatawan lang ang kayang humandle sa napakalakas na spiritual force na ito!
"So ang potensyal pala ng isang spirit reader ay nakadepende sa spiritual force na tinatanglay nito"
"Minsan ang natutulog na spiritual force ay nahuhubog bilang isang liquid substance o hindi kaya half liquid, half solid substance. Pero may mga pagkakataon ding nahuhubog ito bilang isang solid substance!
"Ayon sa mga alamat, napakalakas ng isang spiritual force kung kaya nitong hubugin ang kanyang sarili para maging solid substance! Sila ang may mga pinakamalalakas na potensyal sa lahat ng mga spirit readers. At habang lumalakas ang kanilang pangangatawan ay lalong lumalabas ang solid nito spiritual force na makakapagpalakas sa kanila ng todo todo"
"Hanggang sa isang araw na kung saan magtatapos ang kanilang rapid growth period sa pagkatunaw sa pagiging solid substance ng kanilang spiritual force!"
Pinigilan ni Luo Feng ang kaniyang pagkasabik at nagpatuloy sa pagbabasa hanggang matapos ang buong section.
Matapos nito ay nagpatuloy siya sa paghahanaps a database hanggang sa makahanap pa siya ng dalawa pang mga introduction sa mga spirit readers.
"Ang mga nakalagay dito ay kapareho lang noong nauna kong nabasa kaya totoo siguro ang sinasabi sa mga thread na ito" tumatangong sabi ni Luo Feng "Kung gayon…. Ang dark golden ball sa aking consciousness ay ang aking buong spiritual foce sa solid form! Napakasuwerte ko pa at nakaligtas ako sa paglabas nito sa akin"
Manghang mangha si Luo Feng.
Ayon sa kaniyang mga nabasang mga introduction, kapag lumabas ang spiritual force ng spirit reader sa kaniyang sarili ay sasabog ito sa kaniyang subconsciousness. At kung papalya ito ay puwede itong magresulta sa pagkawala sa kaniyang sarili, pagiging baldado, o hindi kaya ay pagkamatay dahil sa kakulangan ng dugo.
"Ngayon alam ko na kung bakit nakakaramdam ako ng sakit ng ulo araw araw noong bata ako. Dumating din sa punto na nalalagay pa ako sa pagiging coma" isip ni Luo Feng "Mukhang hindi pa kaya ng katawan ko noon na ihandle ang tanglay kong spiritual force kaya nagresulta ito sa napakatinding pananakit ng ulo! At ngayong malaki na ang pinagbago ng aking pangangatawan, naging madalan na ang pananakit ng aking ulo hanggang sa nawala na ito ng tuluyan"
Nawala ang pananakit ng ulo niya noong lumabas ang tanglay niyang spiritual force sa kaniyang sarili.
"Hindi ako makapaniwala na ang dark golden ball na iyon ay ang solid form ng aking spiritual force"
"Gaano kaya kalakas ang nasa loob ng spiritual force ko na iyon?" tanong ni Luo Feng sa kaniyang sarili.


Taong 2056, sa loob ng isang siyudad na makikita sa Su Jin Area makikita ang isang teenager na nakasuot ng combat vest, pangsundalong pangibaba at battle boots na gawa sa alloy na nakaupo sa tuktok ng isang sira sirang six story residential apartment. Makikita sa kaniyang likuran ang isang hexagonal shield at ang kaniyang hawak hawak na blood-shadow battle knife. Tahimik siyang nakaupo sa dulo ng rooftop. Makikita sa mga oras na ito ang kumikinang na kalangitan at mararamdaman ang napakapreskong hangin na kasalukuyang umiihip patungo sa kaniya. Pero tanging katahimikan lamang ang maririnig sa sira sira at abandonadong siyudad na ito at kung minsan ay mayroong paisa isang pagalulong ang maririnig na magbibigay takot sa sinumang makarinig nito.

Okay so the Illustration is complete I updated the book cover on royalroad.com scribblehub.com and webnovel.com, I've also updated the synopsis to what is going to be on A m a z o n.
The illustrator delivered the illustration to me around 3 or 4 hours ago., so it was completed fairly recently.
It took me mmmm 7 or 8 tries maybe 9 before I was finally able to get kdp amazon to accept the illustration. I tried 6 or 7 times of those to get it to accept the pdf. In the end, it did not accept the pdf book cover, but I was able to make a workaround and submit the image through the cover creator by uploading the image and delete all text projected over the illustration by the cover creator and wallah only took a 2nd try to get it done after that.
This was for the paperback version mind you, no problems with the ebook on that front. Keep in mind I was just about to go too sleep when the illustrator contacted me and I only recently reverse my schedule back to somewhat normal. It was then that this whole fiasco started.
Now then, the ebook has passed review and is currently publishing which means their setting it up on their sites and apps for amazon, kindle and their various national variations.
The paperback is in review. Both the ebook and paperback should be released around or within 72 hours from what I've been told. I will also get an email when the ebook is published and maybe when the paperback is published not sure.
Next, I noticed when I was reposting the amazon version of the synopsis that the paperback's synopsis was lacking any spaces between sentences which is indeed an issue.
Now I would go ahead and edit the ebook and paperback just so they're more professional, but I tried that, it won't let me edit it right now and the button to do so are greyed out.
That said I do want to edit the synopsis of the two books so they're not a mess but I will have to wait, if they even allow editing of them after they've been published anymore. I know they used too.
I may or may not release another update when they've been published and or edited but for now you seem to have all the information and anymore may just be overbearing.
Also the paperback minimum price was 42 something odd dollars with no royalties, so I raised the price of the paperback to 50 dollars USD so that I can even make a profit off royalties, even with that each purchase of the paperback only gives me 4.25 dollars. The cost of printing is 25 something odd dollars per book, I guess amazon gets the rest and or put it into shipping costs???? Crazy right?
Anyway that's it have a wonderful night or day and I hope you buy a copy.

There are two novels world, one is a Xianxia novel another is a Modern action novel. These two novels actually came from the same team of authors. The problem is when they're trying to write a new season for the Modern action drama called "Top Crime Unit" the main character of this novel is leaping into the Xianxia novel through a mysterious loophole and created another storyline.
Zhang Sol-Dan is "Top Crime Unit" the main character in season fourth of the series, while in the last three seasons she was just a supporting role to other characters including her big sister Zhang Sol-Ra who was the lead role for season two. They're bilingual siblings with Chinese x Korean accent characters. During the former seasons, Zhang sol-Dan character has been favored a lot from the reader that they wanted the writer team to make next season for her as the lead role. To satisfy the reader, the writer team with five peoples decided to make her become the female lead of the fourth season.
Meanwhile, Xia Yu-Xian is the lead role of the Xianxia novel called "Reborn as Immortal Heiress", also from that same writer team. The novel is currently halfway of update and is talking about Xia Yu-Xian journey as she was reborn from betrayal and hatred of people around her and then becoming the Immortal Heiress of the world.
While starting to write the "Top Crime Unit" season fourth with just two chapters, the writer suddenly wakeup and found that their two novels have jumbled together, with Zhang Sol-Dan transmigrated into "Reborn as Immortal Heiress" by having the same appearance as Feng Wei-Xi, the villain of the novel and the biggest enemy of Xia Yu-Xian.
With their story trying to have its own storyline, the writers then stop working and just sit still to watch it goes by itself. Well, they're just enjoying it since it's so dame good!

I, Yui Tan, is moving house for the first time in my life, and no it's not a good thing. But I mean my new home is pretty cool- no no-


I felt that my old home was pretty good.

It still is.


With it being on the eleventh floor as well as a corner unit, it was pretty peaceful even though we lived near the main road and was a block from the MRT(1) station, I felt that it was rather cosy for me. It was a little noisy, but those sounds were what I grew up with. The occasional loud motorcycle roars, and the screeching of the trains as they brake at the stations had all become a part of my daily life.


And had taken for granted for.


I had always assumed I would never leave- my primary school a mere five minute walk away, secondary school the same, the basketball court, stadium, coffee-shops(2)... Everything was stationed nearby, nothing further than a five to ten minute walk. All these were the things I took for granted. The convenience of having everything, everyone, nearby. 


Growing up in this small neighborhood, I knew almost everyone. The aunties buying food at the local market, the elderly men sitting under the void decks playing chess. With my block situated right next to the car park, I would often walk through the car park to get straight to school. Sometimes I would play with the neighborhood cats as they frolicked in the hot sun on my way home, or gaze at the roadside wildflowers. They were pretty, like musical ornaments in classic baroque music, lighting up the dull grey concrete as they sway in the wind, to an unbeknownst tempo. 


I looked up at the early morning sky to see the moon grinning at me. It was way too early to be out of bed much less out of the house, but I have to. 


I.


Have school.


Today's a Monday. 


Why did the usually slothful and tardy me suddenly wake up so early for school you ask? It was cause I had to get to school on time. And that I had already moved to the new house in WLD(3). My new home, is situated four train stations away from school. And worst, I still had to take the bus to the train station before I can take the train to school. I covered my mouth as I yawned, and glanced at the time on watch. 


6:30 am


It's way too early to go to school, I sighed as I glanced around the bus stop opposite my condominium. In the past, at this time, I would have just turned my phone alarm off and set it to snooze for another twenty minutes at the very least. 



I'm a very indolent person. 



Or if you prefer me speaking frankly, just  l a z y.


I'm the kind of person where if we were going to meet for a movie or an outing, you would tell me the time fifteen to thirty minutes earlier just cause you know I'll be late. I was even infamous in school by friends, schoolmates and teachers alike for always being late to school despite living a mere five minutes walk away. 


Okay, here's where you ask me, how are you always late?


Simple.


If I needed to be in school by 7:25 am,  I would wake up at 6:45/6:50 am to wash up and get dressed, and leave home by 7:15/ or the latest, 7:25 am, before I run to school-


Yes.


Run.


My school rules state that if the student isn't seated- I repeated "seated"- bum(4) on the floor- by 7:25 am, they would be considered late. Worst still, the school clock operates at a different timing than my watch or the world time. It varies from a couple minutes or seconds faster, sometimes slower. There would be a bell that rings at exactly 7:25, when the teachers would all be standing, with their eyes peeled.


Me, oh poor me. 


I'm always late yes, but it's always by a couple seconds I swear. I would be in line, pulling my backpack off my shoulders, about to take my seat when the bell rings. The discipline teachers know me so well that the moment they see me, they yell-


"Yui from 1B2, I see you there!" The discipline teacher in charge would holler, and then gesture for me to head to the responsibility staircase(5). Well, that was all long ago, to be more precise, three years ago. Dear me, has actually been coming to school on the time for the past two years- wait wait, hold up. Are you impressed? Wanna hear the even more impressive thing? I haven't been late not even once in the past two years. 


Are you impressed yet? 


Wait till you hear the reason why I haven't been late not even once. It's because I started a music club in school, and as the chairperson in charge, I didn't want to embarrass my juniors from the club. 


An infamous delinquent known by juniors and seniors alike starting her own club? The teachers would look down on the members, sigh. I have my pride too you know. Anyway, I started coming to school on time and started afresh. The discipline mistress (my friend) really approved of it and helped me settle any misgivings the teachers have about me thanks to the rumors around. They're now almost completely dispelled, and almost no one knows me anymore. I used to hate how the seniors would cat-call me when they see me, or ask me stupid questions trying to embarrass me but now, I'm the senior and other than the third-year juniors, no one remembers it. I kinda miss being infamous really, cause some teachers think that I'm "easy". 


I pull out my phone and glanced at the time-


6:45 am


I've been sitting here for fifteen minutes but the bus still hasn't arrived. If it takes any longer, I might actually break my perfect record of being on time for the past two years!! I pulled out my earphones from my dark british-green(6) skirt pocket and plugged them into my phone. Tapping on the radio app, I carefully tuned in to 98.7 fm, a popular radio station in my country. I tuned out as I stared into the road and watched the cars go by when suddenly the lady sitting next to me got up hurriedly. I followed suit as 962(7)- rolled into the bus stop and stopped. Opening it's doors, a swarm of people rushed to get on, with me packed nicely in the middle. I quickly tapped the card-reader beside the bus doors to pay my fare and tried to squeeze pass people to get a good spot beside the back door. 


First day of school after moving to WLD? 


Here I come.

I slumped my head against the glass windows as I sat in the train. 


It has been a long day. 


Pulling out my earphones from my skirt pocket, I plugged in once again to the radio, but this time a different radio station. A chinese one that plays older music called 97.2 fm.


I turned my head to look out the window and glanced at the buildings as my train pulled away from the KTB(8) station, where I stayed for thirteen years.


Where I will stay no longer. 


A tug in my chest made me avert my eyes from the unit where I used to stay. The thin long window grills an unfamiliar sight. It was probably changed by the new owner. I closed my eyes and sighed, thinking about the familiar square window grills I used to stare out from the kitchen. As I lived in a corner unit, my living room and kitchen was shaped in an L shape, with the shorter part where the door was. I would often grab a chair and seat at my kitchen window, outside the guest toilet and lean on the sink as I watched the trains and cars go by, feeling the breeze in my hair. The washing machine would be situated on my left side, with the laundry bamboo poles(9) above my head. Sometimes after I carry the laundry poles out the window to dry, I would seat and watch the happenings on the ground floor. The neighborhood kids running around playing soccer, or the cats running around chasing the butterflies and pigeons. 


"Next stop, WLD." a female voice announced as my eyes drifted to the front, and I shifted to seat properly. 


I'm almost home- well... home.


"WLD, Station NS9(10), WLD" I walked to the train doors, stabilizing myself with the handrails as the announcement sounded again.


"Doors are opening, beep beep beep-" The train doors slide open as I stepped onto the wide platform and walked towards the escalator heading downwards on my left. Standing on the left side, I glanced downwards at the other commuters and passersby as the escalator went down. I walked out towards the tap out areas and pulled out my wallet, tapping on the card reader. 


"Beep!" The reader turned green as the mini doors slide open and I walked towards the bus stop to get home. The food courts near the train station was bustling with activity, the hawkers yelling out to the customers to take their orders. I went up to a stall and bought a cup of Bandung(11), sipping it as I strolled to the bus stop. As I walked pass a stall selling joss paper(12), I felt my music getting louder and instinctively pulled a earbud out to listen and turned around. The store also happened to be playing the same radio station, 97.2 fm! The radio station was playing a song called "King of Karaoke" by Eason Chan, and the l hum to the melody as I slowed down the corner and walked to the bus stop.


The people I used to sing it with, the friends I used to hang out with, the old memories slowly float to the surface of my mind, dragged out by the song. I look at the light post beside the traffic light and slowly remembering very old friends.

"Yui! Look! I'm pole dancing-" Ying Tian, the one of them laughed as she swung a thigh over the pole and tried to dance. Sandy clutched her stomach as she rolled over on the pavement, laughing so hard she choked on her saliva while I leaned against the tree, laughing equally as hard. Those were really the days, I thought as I swallowed a lump in my throat and blinked the tears away. I looked up just to see the red men turn green, and my 962 bus arriving. I hopped over a small rock and brisked walked across the road, turning to the bus stop. 


Quickly, I was about to board when I realized I haven't took out my card. I pushed the drink into the side pocket of my bag before once again pulling my wallet out of my pocket to tap the card reader(13), showing me I only had $1.20 left inside. I would have to top up or else I wouldn't be able to take the bus tomorrow morning when a stern voice caught my attention-


"Sorry kid, if you have no money, please get off the bus," The bus driver said to a small little boy on the verge of tears. The surrounding passengers stared at the little boy in pity, some in disdain but no one came forward. 


"Hello? Why is the bus not moving?(14)" a middle aged lady yelled out from the backseat, with obvious annoyance in her voice. The bus driver then shrugged and gestured towards the kid. 


"Hello? you rushing is it huh? Take taxi la!" an elderly man yelled as he glared daggers at her. 


"Got kid talking to the driver right? Cannot wait another few seconds huh?" He challenged the middle aged lady as she rolled her eyes and glared back at him.


"Why can't you go and pay for the kid's bus fare if you can even stand up and argue?" She retorted as the fight continued. Shaking my head at those irresponsible adults, I narrowed my eyes at them and pushed my way forward towards the front of the bus. Digging out a couple coins from my pocket, I dropped it in the coin hole for bus fares and stared at the bus driver. The little boy turned to stare at me with sparkly eyes and tugged at my sleeve just as the driver shrugged and closed the bus doors.


"Thank you jie jie and sorry for the trouble," the little boy said with a mournful expression.


"No problem-"


"I'll pay you back later-" the little boy interrupted and stopped as I shook my head.


"Small matter, no need worry," I said as I patted his head coolly and he looked up at me grinning.


Guess I made a new friend today? I mused as the bus pulled up to my stop and I turned to face the little boy, about to say bye to him when I realized he was about to do the same.


"Eh? You're getting off here too?" I smiled and asked him as I tapped my card and got off the bus. 


"Mhm Jie Jie, I stay in Forestville, what about you?"


"Ohh," I chuckled.  What a coincidence!


"Me too haha," I smiled and rubbed the little boy's head again when I felt my phone vibrating and saw an incoming call from Mom. I gestured to the little boy to be quiet before picking up the phone.


"Hello Mom?"


"Yui are you home yet?"


"I'm at the back-gate, about to go in," I said as I tried to pull my condo(15) card from my wallet. The little boy smiled cheekily and whipped out the card from his front pocket and tapped it on the card reader for me. 
 

"Thank you-" I whispered to the little boy and waved goodbye to him as he raced ahead and waved me good bye.


"Okay hurry up, dinner is ready,"


"Got it, I'm coming."

1) MRT stands for Mass Rapid Transport. It's the name of our train system ish in Singapore.
2) Coffeeshops don't only sell coffee. It's a place that sells a wide variety of food in place of void decks*(a public bonding space under high rise flats where people hang out)in some areas. It's not air-conditioned.)
3)WLD stands for the name of a place.
4)Bum- a slang word referring to your butt.
5)Responsibility staircase is a staircase in the school foyer called the responsibility staircase cause the teachers want the students to be responsible for their own actions like admitting they skipped detention etc.
6)British green is an actual color.
7)Bus number.
8)Place name
9)Laundry Drying system in sg where they hang the clothes on long bamboo poles and carry it outside their window, slotting it into a metal rack drilled into the wall. Pretty dangerous, but pretty exciting. Just not fun when the laundry is heavier than you and you nearly get blown away by the wind-
10)NS stands for North-South and the number 9 for the station number.
11)Bandung is a drink made from rose syrup and condensed milk. It's nice, ya'll should try it.
12)Joss paper is like those funeral papers the chinese people burn to pay respect or give the dead stuff. Like once, my aunt printed a paper iphone (when it just came out) for my deceased grandpa. She put so much effort into it and even made the packaging before she threw it into the fire.
13)Card Reader- Machines that deduct money from your cards (money suckers) so you don't have to pay actual cash. It deducts the appropriate amount each time when you get off the bus depending on where you tap in from. If you're unlucky and you forget to tap out, well you will pay the fees for the whole trip the next time you take public transport...
14) This is obviously broken english used here, to make the setting more realistic as this is how people normally talk in Singapore.
15) Condo stands for Condominium

A building in Forestville has 13 floors, the 13th being a penthouse, and the 1st having a wide balcony. A girl lives downstairs, and a guy lives upstairs. Separated by 11 floors, will they ever be friends?

In the past, when it came to history, the first thing people thought of was the rigid records of history textbooks. Rarely did anyone except those studying the subject deliberately consult those history books. It was because the books were truly unsightly!

Except for those without much choice or the truly enthusiastic no one else would be willing to troll through thick chunks of information filled with nothing but facts and dates. 

But the emergence of "Stories About The Ming Dynasty" had broken those previous conventions, letting people realize for the first time that history could be written like this.

Although it delivered the same information, the writing method used by the author was different. It was a kind of fresh brushwork full of vitality, the characters seemed like they were all about to jump out of the book.

With his pen, the historical figures were no longer rigid names you had to memorize for an exam but real people. As the Ming Dynasty experienced its ups and downs, you couldn't stop reading. 

True to the opening words of the book: [History should be fun to read]. The author did his best to make learning about the Ming Dynasty enjoyable.

As a screenwriter, Jiang Cheng knew that the success of a good book was one that allowed the reader to have a strong sense of substitution when reading it. If there was a sense of substitution, the reader would unconsciously fall into the world of the book and would read on not wanting to stop; on the contrary, if there was no sense of substitution, the reader would just place the book down and move on.

Undoubtedly, the previous rigid history books wouldn't give anyone a sense of substitution. 

Especially now so, as technology developed and people became less and less interested in researching the past and reading ancient texts. With less and less need in real life, there were fewer and fewer people who studied history.

"Stories About The Ming Dynasty" was different. The author Mingyue used humorous language to narrate those historical events like they were telling a story. The historical characters were given humanity and character, this made them feel more like humans with flesh and blood, people that had actually lived once upon a time. 

The reader discovered over time that the emperors and princes in history too were ordinary people, they too had joys and sorrows, as well as worries and fears. As if passing through space and time, the reader felt a strong resonance and those historical figures and historical events seemed to be within reach.

This book successfully increased interest in history. Showing that history wasn't something only for professors but something that everyone could touch.

Therefore, writing this book could not only cope with Jiang Dejun's complaints, but also indirectly ignite his fame, killing two birds with one stone, especially since he was most in need of fame now, why not?

Getting excited as he thought of his plan, Jiang Cheng immediately acted.

First of all, he found lots of books about the Ming Dynasty. After all, it was a thing of his previous life. Jiang Cheng's memory of the book was only an approximation, he only remembered the language style, as well as the overarching plot. 

Moreover, Jiang Cheng didn't intend to copy Mingyue word for word, it would only be a loose frame, he wanted to write something that was his own.

Fortunately, his father had a plethora of history books if nothing else.

After selecting a couple of relevant ones, Jiang Cheng turned on the desktop again and opened up Word.

The title of the first chapter "Emperor Hongwu" followed and as the story of the legendary emperor Zhu Zhongba slowly unfolded, the book also began to take shape little by little....

Jiang Cheng a screenwriter is reincarnated to 2001, into the seventeen-year-old body of another Jiang Cheng.
