Bunker's log: This is James Curtis, it's been 20 years since I've left the bunker after the Kelvin plague spreaded turning every living being into mindless beings only knowing how to eat while increasing in speed, strength and production of saliva to digest raw meat. I've worked with other scientists and geneticist on the patient zero on the cure. Until our fellow friend got drunk and broke the containment unit. It all went south after reports around the world of the disease spreading, politicians, children, and teachers, man and woman eating each other. I have created this bunker to save guard me from nuclear attacks, and food enough for 15 years, and now I am dying. I wish I live in the world of comic books, but it's impossible.


Now thinking back of what he's done and what he could have done, he dies peacefully.


    James wakes up in a plain white room, still thinking about what happened. "Am I dead?". In disbelief he shouted, "Hello? Is anyone there?"

"You have awaken sooner than I expected."

"Who are you? Where am I?"

"I am Gaia, the planet you call earth and what you would call mother nature. You are the last of my children and so I will use what remains of my life essence to full fill you 3 wishes and get you to wherever you what to go and reincarnate to save you, my last child."

    I have to think about this seriously. "Are there any tricks to the wishes?"

    "No. But you must hurry for I can only maintain you in this state for so long before draining myself."

    "I wish to live in a universe that is a mixture of the MCU, the Marvel 616 universe and the Marvel Ultimate universe."

    "It is done."

    "I wish to have the power to absorb other people's powers and memories by touching them without overloading my body and mind."

    "It is done, but hurry. Half of my power is drained and can only give you one more wish."

    "I wish to have regenerative powers as strong as Deadpool's."

    "My child, your powers will manifest at the age of two and so will your memory of this life to avoid suspicion of your powers and intelligence."

Looks like I'll have to work harder!"

Once the decision was made to leave quickly, it didn't take long, for them to gather everything up. Thanks to the system, he was able to absorb their entire farm. Marvin, Bart, and the other farmhands all agreed to come with them.

With their consent, he was able to absorb the entire surrounding area as well. Now that it was tucked away inside the space, it would remove any evidence, while allowing his parents and everyone to come along.

Popping up around the already existing farm inside his spatial world, they were quickly greeted by the citizens. His parents wouldn't be bored, they were recognized by the system, which gave them a lot of permissions.

His father saw men fishing, off to the side of a small stream. Kissing his wife, he grabbed some of his fishing equipment, eager to join them. Laughing playfully, she handed him the tackle box, when he came back a minute later.

Heading over to the restaurant, she saw that the menu was missing a few things. Putting on an apron, she headed into the pantry to gather some ingredients. The legendary 'home cooking' was about to be added to the menu.

Seeing the world for the first time, the farmhands and their families were impressed. This was an amazing place, clean and free of danger. Witnessing the farm, they saw how it sprouted its own crops while absorbing others.

Everyone could see, that not only was it a much better location, but they'd also have a lot more free time to relax and enjoy themselves. Naturally, people would work to increase the space, mixing a bit of the spatial earth and water each day.

Taking steps to ensure that everyone stayed happy and healthy, Zanir introduced a new building. Titled the 'Recreation Room', it was a building that had a single large room, sectioned off into a few different spaces.

The main section was the largest, there were a few tables, where people could eat together or relax and play games. He'd produced a few basic dice and cards, using the system to print out a few books, that detailed the various games you could play.

Off to one side, there a sectioned off area, where younger children could play. It was padded to ensure they couldn't hurt themselves. It was filled with a variety of bright and colorful toys, he'd hoped they would like them.

Using the system, he'd produced some wooden blocks with letters on them. They could be stacked and arranged. There were also various toy figurines carved out, varying from knights and mages to boats and carriages.

He'd also placed a few basic coloring books, using wax the system dyed as crayons. Making sure they were safe and non-toxic, he knew these would delight the children. Before moving on, he also created a set of building blocks.

Interconnecting pieces, allowed them to build anything they wanted to. With all of these things, the kids here would be happier. That, in turn, would also make the parents happier. Moving over to the last section, he wanted to create something for the older residents.

Transforming the final section, he designed it into a comfortable mini parlor. Blocking off some of the noise, it would give them a quiet spot where they could relax. With several comfortable recliner style chairs, they could relax in here together.

To help keep their minds sharp, he put in several things, like chess and checkers. There were also several kinds of crossword puzzles, word searches, and numbers games like Sudoku. Stepping back, he inspected his work.

Satisfied, he looked around and saw that it had something for all ages and groups. Hopefully, this would become, a place where the community could gather, to both have fun and relax. The last thing he wanted, was for anyone to feel stifled or trapped in the spatial world.

With the introduction and overview complete, he cut the big red ribbon in front of the building. Everyone cheered and clapped, people only had the simplest games and toys here, not even the largest cities had a dedicated rec room.

It didn't take long for everyone to shuffle in, exploring the area. The kids were the fastest, they all ran in, screaming with delight when they saw so many toys. Seeing the various kids playing together, the parents were moved.

Children were inherently innocent for the most part; they didn't discriminate against people. The farmhand's children had no issue playing with the kids who were formerly homeless. Kids just see another kid, there wasn't a distinction in social class.

Now that the children had started playing, their parents sat together in the middle section, watching over them. Introducing themselves, they quickly made friends, learning how to play card and dice games. Talking about their respective kids, the parents found out they had a lot in common.

With noisy kids playing, the older crowd moved into the mini parlor area. Seeing the comfy recliners and chairs, they helped each other get settled in. Soon they were chatting happily about 'the good old days'.

Bringing out the puzzles and games, they were also having a great time, seeing such strange new ideas and concepts. Looking at everyone, having fun and enjoying the building, his friends and family were very proud.

This would go a long way to improving everyone's morale, which was a key aspect of the spatial world. It would also kill two birds with one stone, both being the right thing to do, while also gaining him more points, from even happier citizens.

Now that he'd taken his family, friends, and even his home with him, it was time to go. He wanted to stop by Trostin, completing his deals quickly there, before setting off for the first mission. With nothing holding him back, any longer, he was now free to travel the world at large.

"Wait, if you can make coloring books, doesn't that mean you can make comic books?"

"Haha, just make a list of what you want Dante. I'll see how much they cost from my system."

Taking a few guards out of the system, he repaired the land, so it wasn't completely barren, while Dante got the carriage ready. Once they finished up, they headed down the road towards Trostin.

Just two months had passed since me and my mom signed the deal, and now the release date of my first book was about to happen.

At the end I decided that 'The princess collection volumen one' will be formed by: 'Sleeping beauty', 'Cinderella', 'Aladdin', 'The princess and the frog' and 'Beauty and the beast'.

What leaves: 'Mulan', 'The little mermaid', 'Moana', 'Rapunzel' and 'Frozen' for the second volume. Which release date will depend on how well does the first one. 

Those were all the 'Disney' princesses I could somehow remember, which made easier the decision to not doing more in the future. For the other two books, I planned to use 'DreamWorks' or 'Illumination' movies as a reference. What was clear, is that those books will not be compilations, I needed to start practicing writing longer books. And that's what I am doing lately, besides working on my comic with Hanna of course. 

"Girls I have a surprise for you" I said to the girls when we were on recess. 

"Thank you Sam!" the twins said when I gave them copies of my book. Each one gave me a tight hug and a quick kiss on the forehead. 

"Thank you!" Claire smiled cutely at me, and gave me a hug. Her hazel eyes are captivating, which always made me look at her for a slightly longer period of time. 

For someone as antisocial as me, I should count myself lucky to have three friends already. Although I couldn't really take any merit in my friendship with Claire, the twins were just too nice with everyone, so this kind of conclusion was an understanding. 

"The book will be on sale in about a week, so you better like it because I can't change anything now" I joked. 

"That's impossible" Emma replied quickly with a face that showed her conviction. 

"Ummmm. It'll depend if the stories are as good as the ones we have read before" Ellie smiled slyly at me. I think that her sense of humor has evolved thanks to me. I don't know if that's a good thing though. 

"That's why Emma is my favorite twin" I winked at Ellie, who pouted at me while I gave the clueless Emma a hug. 

"Me too" Said Claire, who played along and joined us. Ellie's face was hilarious, she looked at Claire as if she had committed the ultimate betrayal. 

"... Ok, I surrender. I will love it" Ellie finally said, and hugged us all while we all laughed. 

"Sammy, stop flirting with your girlfriends" It was my sister voice who interrupted us. The twins and Claire flinched at my sister words, and a blush appeared on their faces while they moved back a couple of steps. 

"Hehe, you are cute" My sister simply said to them before giving me a hug of her own. 

"Sis, how are you? Did something happen?" I asked in curiosity. I wanted to know why was she here, considering that we don't share the recess periods with the kids on her grade. 

"I'm fine... Sam, I came here to give you some good news, and also to ask for permission" She started with a tone showing a mix of emotions. 

It seemed that she was happy and guilty at the same time. I just looked at her eyes prompting her to continue, and that she did "... Do you remember my best friend?" She asked. 

I do. It's really hard to forget the only ginger on school, and one that adorable too. Besides, Hannah has already introduced us before. 

"Kate. Of course I remember her. You have even told me that today you'll be going to her house to a pijama party" 

"That's true... Well the thing is, her uncle works at this network that focus on making cartoons. And thanks to Kate, he got to know about our comic" She smiled widely. 

"'Power puff girls' will be on tv!" The twins and Claire said excitedly. They were even happier than me. 

That was great news. I would have preferred to somehow make the cartoon myself, so I could've own it. But I know that it was impossible for now.

"Yep. And he's currently at Kate's house, so I wanted to talk to him about it today... Unless you want to be there too?" 

So she's worried about that. It was cute from her, but like the minor she is my sister can't sign any deal, so there is no danger with her being alone.

"Oh, don't worry big sis. I know that you'll be fine on your own. I trust you" I encouraged her. 

"Sammy!" She simply said, before lifting me up and spinning around a couple of times. 

"Yeah Hannah, you'll do great" My friends said encouragingly. 

"Thanks girls" My sister said happily, "You are all so great. I would be happy with any of you being Sam' s girlfriend" she added playfully after a while. 

At that my friends just flushed and lowered their heads shyly. Which I just couldn't ignore. 

"But Hannah, the three of them are my girlfriends already" I said with innocence. 

It seems that I went too far, because the three of them just ran away before I could continue with my act. 

"You're cruel little brother" Hannah said with a smirk on her face when we realized that they wouldn't come back. 

"Hehe, I learned from the best" I replied with a little smile. 

Then we discussed about her 'meeting'. Basically I just told her to not worry that much for the money, and to just offer the TV rights for a limited amount of time. Maybe that would make Kate's uncle reconsider his idea to make the show to begin with, but for starters it was a good baseline. 

When the recess was over I said my goodbyes to Hannah, whom I'll not see until tomorrow. Then I reunited with my friends who acted like nothing happened, and because I didn't want to make things awkward I didn't say anything. 

In class, like I've doing lately, I focused in creating my 'own' comic universe. I wanted to have a continuous story line, with a lot of characters. And the timeline was what's making me work so hard on it. 

Until now, the characters I had that I wanted to do, and that were coherent with the world I planned, were: 'Batman', 'Spiderman', 'Powergirl', 'Hulk', 'Static', 'Black panther', 'Scarlett witch', 'Wonder woman', 'Aquaman', 'Guardians of the galaxy', 'Doctor strange', and mutants (in a certain degree). 

Dedicating myself to organize the comic world, my day passed quickly with no major incident. There was a math test, but it's not even worth mentioning. And like it was already planned, my father picked me up at the school gates. 

"How was your day?" I asked my father. I knew that he has been working on a game for this 'new' hand-held console, for about four months now. 

"Not that well to be honest. But that's to be expected considering that this is the first time we are doing a game for this new console" He said with his usual energetic nature. 

"Well, if you have any problem with the game, just remember that my offer is still in place" I joked. 

I wanted to make a certain game, especially for this time an age. But I wouldn't just hande it like that, I wanted to own it myself. 

"About that. In the past I may have talked about your proposal to my boss, and now with how I been talking about you, and the news of your book being a week away only... Let's say that it wouldn't be an impossibility in a couple of years" He said casually. 

"Are you saying that I'll be able to make my own game under the company you work for, and still conserve the rights to it?" I asked. I wanted to be excited, but it was just too good to be true. 

"Like I've said to you before. If you are willing to share the ownership of any game you do, I would be able to help you with getting published... But yes. The times are changing, and it wouldn't be impossible for it to be real. Especially if the games we'll develope are not well received.

Although there's things you need to learn first. I have teached you the basics, but there's much more to learn before you can even think on making your own game" He finished jokingly. He's aware of how good I really am, it wasn't just arrogance. 

In my past life I made a living making games, so letting my family know of my 'talent' in that regard, was one of my first priorities when I realized that this was not the world I once knew. Which turned out to be an easy job with my dad's profession. 

"Of course dad. You can teach me whenever you want" I simply said with a confident smile. I didn't even refer to the ownership topic, there was no way I would change my mind about it.

Samuel Bane, a guy who was just a normal 23 year old in another life, was living in a new world with his memory intact.

But Benjamin could only respond harshly, "Only eight? No can do, do you know how many I killed in Fereldan?"
 
"… You’re the boss."
 
Miles was rendered speechless.
 
Anyway, the continuous deaths of the priests had put a lot of pressure on the Church. Rumour has it that the Church even started to suspect that Benjamin had arrived at Carretas and so had laid out multiples traps in hopes of capturing him. It was a shame, however, that the assassinations this time were not carried out by Benjamin.
 
The traps that the Church set up were useless and Miles had managed to kill several more priests before the Church finally realized that this was a totally new enemy.
 
However, the assassinations would stop here. The Church had increased their defences and Miles had also indicated that any further assassinations might reveal clues about the King, which caused Benjamin to cease the operation.
 
But, Benjamin was already quite satisfied with the result.
 
The Church’s attention was now diverted, and the priests were living in such a paranoid state. This allowed Benjamin to set up his base in Carretas relatively easily.
 
The Declaration of the Freedom of Magic 2.0’s preliminary compilation was done and officially went into printing. This edition was completely different from its predecessor. If not inspected closely, one could easily dismiss it as a mere comic. Most of the booklet was composed of-of drawings with simple descriptions to convey the complex information within, like the internal strength chart.
 
As for the incantations, Frank’s research hit a dead end. In the end, he could only describe six incantations, one from each of the light, dark, water, earth, fire and wind elements using pictographs. The rest of the incantations were written using regular alphabets.
 
But…
 
That’s right, they even included the Divine Arts in the book and renamed it light magic.
 
Apart from the numerous illustrations in the 2.0 version, this would be the main difference between the two editions.
 
In terms of attributes, the two belonged to one essence. Only after years of separation did Divine Arts start to develop its own traits separate from the original pool of light magic. Benjamin was not lying about this and felt that it was a crucial point in winning the locals over.
 
He was also filled with anticipation for the Church’s reaction once they read this information.
 
Of course, adding light magic into the mix was just to dig at the Church. The Church had always treated their ‘Divine Arts’ as a treasure and would constantly go on about how "one must have devout faith to gain such power" in order to make the divine arts seem mysterious and help increase their authority. 
 
What Benjamin wanted to do now was tear off that deceiving mask from the Church’s face.
 
There was no need for devout faith or a pure heart. As long as one had talent, then they could use even the most basic lightning spell — or as the Church called it, the "blazing holy light".
 
Benjamin wanted to prove to the whole world that there was nothing special about magic, and nothing great about the divine arts – it was all just man’s natural talent at play.
 
This point had a more subversive meaning than simply to popularize magic in the declaration 2.0.
 
After the compilation of the booklet was completed, Benjamin was cautious with how he printed it. The situation was different from before and required a high volume of issues. Initially, Benjamin had hoped that they could print a hundred thousand books but due technical issues, they had to settle for ten thousand.
 
If they tried to print a hundred thousand copies of it anywhere, the Church would instantly realize that something was amiss.
 
And so, they used all kinds of alias and fake identities to contact printshops nationwide before finally managing to print a total of ten thousand new editions of the Declaration of the Freedom of Magic. The King had also provided them with funds to help lighten the financial strain on the group.
 
The entire printing process took another week. Throughout the week, Benjamin had literally travelled through the entirety of Carretas to confirm the situation in each city so that he could decide on a distribution plan.
 
They decided to start with the taverns.
 
The taverns were the common social hangout for commoners, under this environment, there would be nothing suspicious about making small talk with strangers. In addition to this, those who went to taverns were normally open-minded and willing to accept new things.
 
"Hey bro, do you want to be a mage?"
 
"What… M-me? I can be a mage?"
 
"I’m not cheating you, take this book home you and practice for a couple of days. You might end up being a real mage! But, even if you don’t have the talent for it, you should let your children at home try it out – who knows what will happen then."
 
"Is this for real… How much for the book?"
 
"It’s free. All you have to do is take it. You can use it to balance your table legs and only read it when you’re bored. But when you do, you might find a pleasant surprise."
 
"That great? Don’t lie to me…"
 
After the battle experience in Fereldan, Benjamin’s subordinates had been nurtured into fast-talking salesmen. The mystical vibe of magic, coupled with the "it’s free anyway" mentality made the distribution process quite smooth.
 
Nine out of ten civilians would accept the book and once in a while someone would pipe up with a "Please let me have a few more copies for my friends."
 
Magic was a legendary power and having the ability to possess it was simply an opportunity that people couldn't refuse. The Church’s brainwashing had only just begun but their holier than thou attitude prevented them from finding their way into a tavern.
 
But just in case, the mages were cautious with their actions and they would change their venue after distributing each book, and their disguise every couple of days.
 
But despite all this, the Church was quick to catch on.
 
"Your Excellency, tonight at the Fire Stove Tavern, south of Gealorre, a few unknown foreigners were distributing this among the commoners. It feels fishy."
 
A spy dressed as a fisherman entered the palace and handed the new edition of the Declaration of the Freedom of Magic to the bishop in front of him.
 
The unfamiliar bishop frowned and took the booklet. He took a glance and immediately the colour of his face changed.
 
"Declaration of the Freedom of Magic… The foreigners have come from Rayleigh!"
 
He quickly flipped open the pages and looked inside. The more he read, the darker his expression became.
 
And when he read the section about the light magic.
 
RIP.
 
At that moment, his face turned purple and he looked ready to kill somebody. He grabbed the book and tore it in half with his bare hands.
 
"Sinner! How can he speak such blasphemy? This unforgivable sinner!"
 
The spy was clearly taken aback by the bishop’s enraged state.
 
"Yo-your excellency?"
 
The bishop took a deep breath and returned to his senses. He spoke with a deep tone, "Inform your companions. Investigate the person who had distributed this book and find their leader and hideout. Be careful and don’t be hasty to act. Most importantly, do not let them detect you."
 
The spy quickly nodded.
 
"Yes, Your Excellency."
 
The spy left in a rush and the bishop returned his gaze to the ripped-up booklet on the ground. Immediately, his eyes glowed with anger and he summoned a blazing fire to burn it – and the ground beneath it – to ashes.

Not everyone is born a hero. In the case of superheroes, it's a singular moment that typically sets the individual on the path to becoming a force for good. That's what is known as the origin story. Whether it's an alien with unbelievable powers or a regular Earthling who's just trying to do the best with their natural talents, each comic book protagonist has an experience that leads them on their heroic path. And boy, have there been a lot of these told for both classic and modern heroes. 

The comic book medium has been going strong for more 75 years, and over those decades hundreds, if not thousands, of superheroes have been introduced. Typically these origin stories have been seen across a variety of media by both passionate comic book fans and people who are just looking for a good tale. And just because a hero is successful doesn't mean that they got off to the best start with their origin stories, but when these tales are told right, they're the stuff of legend. Here are some of the most famous superheroes of all time ranked by how great and epic their origin stories are.

1. The X-Men

Of course, each individual X-Men has their own unique stories, but together the team's origin tale is a classic. As mutants, they were all born with their abilities rather than imbued with them by science, magic or aliens. Consequently, many of these people face mistrust and bigotry from the general population who view them as freaks of nature. However, despite their persecution, they still use their powers to protect the innocent. Brought together by Charles Xavier, the X-Men not only combat threats ranging from fanatical humans to fellow mutants, but their overall mission is to fight for the rights of their fellow mutants and usher in a world of acceptance and peace. So even though their overall story is based in a superhero world, it's memorable because their goals are similar to what many of us want to achieve in real life.

2. The Flash (Barry Allen)

In the 1950s, DC Comics decided to relaunch several of their most successful superheroes from the 1940s as new individuals. The Flash was the first to receive this treatment, being reintroduced in 1956 as forensic scientist Barry Allen. While working late in his lab one night, he was struck by lightning, which subsequently knocked him into shelf full of chemicals. After waking up, he discovered he could run at superhuman speeds, and donning the red and yellow costume that's become much more recognizable than his predecessor's, Barry became the new Flash and built a quite a supporting cast. Visually it's one of the best origins on this list, but it also has a distinct sci-fi feel to it that few DC hero origins had before it. Many non-comic book fans saw this origin told for the first time back in October on the CW series The Flash.

3. Green Lantern (Hal Jordan)

Green Lantern was the second DC hero to be revitalized during the Silver Age of comic books. This time around, test pilot Hal Jordan inherited a special ring after it was bequeathed to him by a dying alien named Abin Sur who had crash-landed on Earth. Unlike the magical ring that the Golden Age Green Lantern wore, Hal Jordan's ring was a product of science that allowed him to use his willpower to fly and make solid constructs with his mind. Inheriting Abin Sur's legacy, Hal became the new Green Lantern of Sector 2814, and the first human to ever join the Green Lantern Corps. Like The Flash, it's memorable for its sci-fi feel, but also to due to how this Green Lantern inherited his heroic legacy from a mysterious visitor (which would later be repeated with Kyle Rayner) whereas his predecessor Alan Scott just sort of stumbled upon his power.

4. Iron Man

Although the location for Iron Man's origin has changed several times throughout the decades, the story itself has not. While demonstrating some of his creations abroad, Tony Stark was injured and taken captive by enemy soldiers. While in captivity, he was forced to build weapons for these terrorists, but with the help of scientist Ho Yinsen, he built a mechanical suit that allowed him to defeat his captors and escape to freedom. With a renewed perspective on life, Tony uses his new armor to protect the innocent as Iron Man. Not only is it one of best redemption origin stories and full of action as Tony escaped his imprisonment, it also showed that not everyone who becomes a superhero starts out as a moral individual. Sometimes takes a nudge (or in Tony's case nearly dying from shrapnel in your heart) to discover your true potential.

5 Captain America

Captain America's origin story wouldn't work well as an anti-drug PSA, but it's an excellent story of trumping over the odds. Steve Rogerswanted to serve in World War II, but his scrawny body and ill health prevented him from enlisting. Fortunately for him, he was chosen as the test subject for Project Rebirth, and after being injected with the Super Soldier Serum, his body became the epitome of physical perfection. Soon after the scientist who created the serum was assassinated by a Nazi spy, leaving the serum's formula lost and making Steve the only one of his kind. He subsequently became Captain America to not only to help defeat the Axis forces, but to become one of the most well-known superheroes in the present-day after being frozen for decades. As mentioned earlier, it's memorable for featuring the little guy rising up to beat the odds, but it also helps that it was an important reflection of the era he was created in and even inspired good to defeat evil in real life.

Chen Haoxuan stretched his neck to take a look and then feigned ignorance.
"The face and the flowers were equally rosy, and the beauty was even more beautiful than the flowers. The professional photographers from our own screen production company are indeed something else. Come and see how nice she looks from this angle."
Yu Changmo's piercing gaze made his younger brother make a series of "tsk" sounds. "If you had used this imposing aura on your dream girl, you would have conquered her a long time ago."
"Explain this," Yu Changmo said concisely.
His meaning was obvious: Explain why his Momo was holding a bouquet of flowers. Chen Haoxuan knew what he was asking, but he deliberately wanted to prank his brother.
"Oh, explain, ah… This issue was actually very simple. Women, they all prefer men who are a little overbearing. If you want to win over a woman's heart, you have to do this…"
He held onto his older brother's shirt as he spoke and executed a technique called "The understanding Bossy CEO". The buttons on Yu Changmo's white shirt snapped open and revealed his solid muscular chest.
Chen Haoxuan had seen this technique from a comic on his secretary's mobile phone. Apparently, this was a technique that every bossy CEO must know. And today, he would teach it to his dear brother, who was inept in love.
"Little Black Pup, I have prepared the gifts you'll bring to Q City. Give them to Qianmo's dad when you are there—Aiya!" Chen Meng saw her sons' "eccentric love of the century".
She saw No.3 push No.2 against the wall with the legendary seductive smile on his face, still clutching onto No. 2's lapels. No.2, who had a frosty expression, was furious. And the half-covered muscular chest, tsk.
It had the feel of a blockbuster.
As a mother witnessing such a scene, Chen Meng's brain reacted immediately. She whipped out her mobile phone and took a series of photos of her sons together. She was still talking as she looked for a better angle.
"Don't move, maintain this posture. That's right. We got to portray the especially pure brotherly love between the two of you! Pure love!"
Yu Changmo jerked his shirt back and stared at his ridiculous brother.
"What kind of nonsense books are you showing her at home?" He didn't have to think too hard to know that his dear mother was not thinking about anything good.
Chen Haoxuan shrugged. Who needs books for this?
It's not the first time that Dear Mother has a wide imagination.
Chen Meng saved the pictures, then she pressed twice on the phone. Hehe, how can one not share such a beautiful picture? Got to share it with my daughter. My oldest girl is toiling hard abroad.
She put away her ridiculous look satisfyingly after sharing the photo and said to Yu Changmo seriously, "I have put everything in the car trunk. Go to Qianmo's dad's house first when you reach Q City. Remember, have a sweet tongue and be sincere in your eyes. Gotta leave a good impression on them, okay?"
Yu Changmo nodded.
He had a few days of leave, so he was prepared to go to Qianmo's house to check on her and butter up Chen Baichuan while at it. His future father-in-law didn't have a good impression on him earlier, so he had to grab every chance he could to rectify that.
"Hmm." Yu Changmo memorized everything his mom said in his heart.
"So troublesome. It's only a woman, and you make it seem as if you are running for President." Chen Haoxuan felt two beams of razor-sharp gazes directed at him from the peripheral of his sight after he finished speaking.
It was already too late for him to hide, though.
"Who taught you these male chauvinistic thoughts? Explain what's 'it's only a woman'? Are you created by men asexually?" Chen Meng twisted her son's ear despite the protests from the bossy CEO.
"Mom, I am already old enough. Can you not do this, please?" Chen Haoxuan was trying to escape when he saw his aloof dad come in. He stopped struggling immediately.
Chen Meng didn't care about her son's age when she was disciplining him. Couldn't she whack him when he said stupid stuff?
"I discovered you are getting more degenerate recently. But you still try to influence your older brother when you yourself have failed to learn the right attitude? If I hear you say anything degrading about women or show any tendency of that, including and not restricting to your previous comment, all the Cleaning Aunties in our house could take a break!"
"We are changing to Cleaning Uncles?"
Chen Meng released her grip and said with a cold smirk, "You will take over all the cleaning duties, including the toilets! Your mind is empty when you don't exercise your body. Why are you not born from a rock since you are so capable?"
Little Three was helpless. Sigh, I said the wrong words.
"Ai, I don't feel so good. Hubby, I am agitated by this little rascal. Am I having a heart attack?" Chen Meng turned around, held her bosom, and looked at her man. The second master immediately held onto his wife's shoulders and stared at the punk who had caused this problem with a murderous look.
Little Three pouted. "Mom, how many years have you been using this technique? Look at your rosy and healthy complexion. Anybody could get heart's disease except you."
Yu Changmo sat down and waited for a good show to start.
As he had expected, his dear father's iron leg swung across and kicked onto his little brother's stomach after he said that stupid stuff. Little Three didn't dare avoid it either. His dad was very protective of his wife. He was lucky it was only a kick, and the matter would be done if he didn't dodge. If he moved, however, it would be a series of never-ending revenge and counter-attacks. He couldn't afford to antagonize him…
Poor Chen Haoxuan took a few steps back after he was kicked. Yu Changmo "kindly" gave him another kick from behind to prevent his little brother from colliding with the wall. Therefore, Chen Haoxuan was kicked by his dad in the front and by his older brother at the back. He must be the bossy CEO with the worst fate in history.
"Be careful of your skin if you make your mom angry again." The second master hugged Chen Meng and left in style after throwing his son a warning.
Chen Haoxuan was prepared to leave too, but his brother held onto his collar.
"Explain." Yu Changmo hadn't forgotten the original issue even after enjoying the show before. What was the situation with that photo? He had to clearly state who gave her the flowers.
"That bouquet of flowers was given to her by her roommates. Relax, 'A patch of green grass above the head, Heart as wide as the blue sky' kind of incident won't happen to you yet."
Yu Changmo relaxed his tensed up nerves after he got an answer he was satisfied with. The bossy CEO was whacked by his brother again a mere second later, though.
"What do you mean, 'A patch of green grass above the head, Heart as wide as the blue sky'?"
There was a price to pay for being foul-mouthed.

Qianmo rested for a few days at home.

At that time, the demon lord almost spread 
his corruption throughout the entire Eʋeland and beyond but, three warriors combined their spiritual power and managed to lock him into the demon chamber. Through these warriors, the spirit warriors(gbɔgbɔ aʋawɔla) were born each with their unique element.

[Several years passed and the introduction of foreign technology found its way into the cultural system of the people of the present-day Ghana. A teenager, 14 years of age  by name Selasi is awoken by the loud sound of his alarm]

Selasi: (aaawww, c'mon…... okay, I ain't gonna wake up... no way.) 

[His sister; Patricia opens his room door]

Patricia: Do you know that we are late??!!

Selasi: Huh? Late for what??

Patricia: I'm not surprised that you have forgotten. It's Saturday! We are supposed to go with mom to Accra.

Selasi: Why??

Patricia: ...really?

Selasi: …...hmm…. umm…...ooooh, yeah that book stuff mom was talking about. Ya know, I'm really not that interested in books.

Patricia: I know, but didn't you say that you would come?

Selasi: I did?

Patricia: Yes! Because of the comics

Selasi: ….oh.

Patricia: Mom's almost ready. If you won't come you can answer mom.

Selasi: (You little…) okay, fine I'm coming….

Patricia: Then you better be quick.

[Patricia leaves the room and Selasi prepares. They all sit in the car and leave for the city. Selasi notices the different route they were following]

Selasi: Mom, where will we be going first?

Mom: I have to buy some clothes on the way there so we will have to go through a different route.

Selasi: Oh, okay. (Juuust great) ... Mom can you drop me at the bookshop?

Mom: Are you sure you will be okay alone?

Selasi: Yes, I'll be fine

Mom: Ok, if you are done, pick a taxi back home.

[Selasi's Mom drops him at the bookshop and left to the market with his sister]

Selasi: Great! Now I can Check out the comic books here.

[He enters the bookshop and looks around for the comic books section. He finds it at the back of the room written on the door; "Comics". Selasi quickly walks to the door and opens it but finds out that it isn't as lively as he thought. He moves to the "manga" section and is called by a woman sitting on the desk at the back of the room]

Woman: Young man…. Can you spare me part of your time?

Selasi: Sure

[the woman looks like she is in her 30's but has a strange aura coming from her]

Woman: You like Japanese comics, right?

Selasi: Yes.

Woman: That's good to know…. A lot of youngsters like you do not have any interest in manga or anime. Did you know that?

Selasi: Umm…. Yes, I did

Woman: And you still decided to come. That's great.

Selasi: Well, I've been fascinated by the Japanese culture for a long time so…. but I also love my culture…. Even more. [he smiles]

Woman: Oh…. Really.

[After this there is a long silence in the room and the two stares at each other. Selasi prepares to leave but is stopped by the woman's question]

Woman: Are you interested in… spirits?

Selasi: …... umm, why this question?

Woman: oh, well you are in love with two cultures that have powerful spiritual connections so I was just wondering.

Selasi: …. oh, I like spirits maybe except for demons.

Woman: Demons? Why do you hate them?

Selasi: They are negative entities that just want to cause trouble so…. yeah that's why I don't like them.

Woman: What would you do if a demon showed up?

Selasi: I'd give it a good beating definitely! ….. haha! Just kidding! I'd run away!

[Selasi looks at the clock on the desk and notices the time]

Selasi: 8:30 pm?! Wow, my mom is gonna freak. Umm…. I'm sorry but I have to go.

Woman: I'd love to see that scene.

Selasi: hmm?

Woman: I'd love to see you run… for your puny life.

Selasi: Umm… Is that a joke or something?

Woman: … I don't think so.

[Selasi backs away slowly but the woman strikes him to the ground with an insanely long arm]

Selasi: Wh-what in the world is that thing?

Woman: I'm a demon you idiot… and you have one enormous amount of spiritual energy* laughs evilly* I WANT IT!!!!!!!!!!

Selasi: (Get up! Get up! Get up! Get up! Get up!)

[Selasi gets up and runs through the door into the main hall. He realizes the emptiness of the hall and knows that the bookshop's closed. He looks behind him and sees the person he thought was a woman growing long arms and a long neck.  She appears to have no legs at all]

Selasi: (I'm not supposed to see anything that's not of this world, right?)

[The demon extends its arms to grab hold of Selasi but he takes a sharp curve through the emergency exit to the back of the building and stops in the middle of a large compound]

Selasi: (SO WHY THE HELL AM I SEEING THAT THING?!)

Demon: Heheheeeheeeheeeehehehehe…. Little rat, you think you are safe outside?

Selasi: eeeek! 

[Selasi picks up stones and begins to throw it at the demon but it just passed right through it]

Demon: Hee-hee have you forgotten that I am a spirit? Nothing of the material realm can touch me… but, I can touch them! Not fair! Right?

Selasi: (Dang! What am I going to do now)?

[The demon rushes towards Selasi with immense speed. Selasi suddenly stops hearing its evil screeches and looks up]

Selasi: (who is he?)

[He sees a man wearing unusual clothes and having a chewing stick in his mouth. Clothes that warriors in the ancient days would wear. He blocked the demon's attack with a thin sword]

Demon: … a Spirit Warrior! Hmph, well this is unlucky

[Selasi realizes the wounds that have been cut deep into the man. It seems as though he fought a tough creature]

Man: Leave this boy! I won't allow you to suck up his energy as if it's food.

Demon: Ho? How will you stop me with all those wounds? Hee-hee.

Man: hmph.

Selasi: What the hell is going on??!!

Man: You can see me?

Selasi: … surprisingly, yes.

[The man gives a smirk and grabs Selasi by his shirt]

Man: Let's run away.

Selasi: Excuse me, what did you say? *looks down* Hey! Isn't that a bit too high!?

Demon: Heeeheeeee. Are you trying to run away from me!? I'll have your soul no matter what! Ahahahahehheheehheeehahaaaaa.

[The strange man and Selasi land on a rooftop]

Man: Child, how can you see me?

Selasi: My name's Selasi so use it.

Man: Oh, you don't have to be afraid of me [he smiles]

Selasi: Uuh-huh.

Man: Now listen to what I have to say… My name's Edem by the way.

[Just when they finish discussing, the demon appears above them and strikes with its arm. The attack leaves debris flying all over] 

Edem: Selasi! Go!!

[Selasi runs towards the demon to distract it]

Selasi: You want my soul, right? Come and devour it!

Demon: If you want to play "chase the helpless and totally useless soul" I'll definitely play!

[Selasi leads the demon to an open area with a very low number of people]

Selasi: (Okay we're here but…. WHERE THE HELL IS, HE!?)

Edem: (Selasi! Get out of the way!)

Selasi: Hm?

[Selasi looks up to see Edem coming towards the demon with his sword which seemed to be enveloped in a crystal-like stream]

Edem: (I'll end this with the last bit of spiritual energy I've got). Prepare yourself, DEMON!!
