Baal came to the manor shortly after the butler's departure.
"I sent someone to ask for the biggest-a*s scholar they can find. But nobody can tell us anything about that 'Pocratee' place. Not even the seasoned professors in those academies.
"But sir, I wouldn't have come here empty-handed, heh heh. One of my men saw this snake thing somewhere the other day, so he told me. Following his lead, I finally got someone."
Baal boasted his little merit and continued his story.
The lackey he mentioned saw the exact "serpent on rod" picture from somewhere… or at least, a very similar picture.
After proceeding from there, Baal found a certain woman. The woman had a small clinic whose flag showed that emblem on it. According to her, it was her grandfather who saw the emblem from an ancient book in the central library. It seemed that the emblem often appeared in medicine-related files, probably because there were doctors who considered it as certain totem of belief. The old man found it interesting and decided to keep the emblem, which was somehow passed down.
"Too bad her old man kicked it some years ago, and she can't remember which book has that emblem. I've sent my men to the library, sir, and they didn't find anything like that yet. Trust me; we've gone through every medical book. I think it's either lost or sealed away inside the secured section for the really old tomes," Baal said as he rubbed his chin. "It's probably the latter. I mean, who the heck wants to steal a medical book?"
"What old section?" Angor noticed something interesting.
"It's a locked chamber where they preserved the old books, located under the central library. No one gets inside without the director's approval," Baal said. He shook his head. "F*ck those old nutheads. I tried, sir, and they just wouldn't let me in."
Angor nodded. He understood that old scholars tended to insist on certain disciplines. It was a stubborn but effective method in the preservation of human wisdom.
"I see. You can leave this matter," Angor said, and he decided to look into this matter by himself later. "Ahem, another question. Do you know any famous teachers that teach young children in Water Grasse?"
Baal couldn't answer him right away. Water Grasse was a giant city with tons of different professionals, and teachers for children were usually seen as someone insignificant, so Baal never paid attention to them. 
"I'll go ask around right away, sir."

Baal was pretty fast. Soon enough, he returned again and handed Angor a small booklet, which contained the names of all the teachers of several famous elementary schools in the city.
Angor opened it and noticed there were even retired teachers in the book.
He asked Baal to leave so that he could carefully look through the names.
Most schools were still in sessions, and he didn't want to interrupt anyone, so he chose to search among the retired ones.
After checking their career reviews, he shortlisted a number of names as well as their addresses. He then left Bay District.
When the dusk arrived, Angor returned to the mansion with a gentle-tempered old lady, who was wearing a pale blue skirt.
Her name was Trusan. Angor chose her after careful comparison, and he found her to be a kind-natured and neutral-minded woman with a regular lifestyle. She was also the only former teacher who was willing to accept a full-time job currently.
After arranging Trusan's lodging, Angor took her to Dodoro.
"As I said, Dodoro has forgotten almost everything. Common knowledge, how to communicate… Nothing's left. Apart from looking and walking like a man, he's basically a newborn kid. So… please."
Trusan looked at Dodoro, who was bigger than herself. She then put up a worried look. She was too old to restrict the behaviors of a naughty kid.
However, she gradually relaxed when she noticed the innocent gaze that came from Dodoro's eyes.
She had educated too many children in her lifetime. Children with various characters. She knew how to read them through their eyes and apply her tactic accordingly.
Yet she never saw such a pair of innocuous and untainted eyes. Just watching Dodoro's expression made her feel safe and calm.
It would be a great pity if such a "clean" soul remained uneducated.
"Rest assured. I'll do my best," Trusan said as she smiled sincerely.
Angor nodded. "I will not interfere with your sessions. You may tell him, but do not force him to learn some of the extreme concepts, and don't trigger his forgotten memory, as it might cause him secondary trauma. As for the rest, you're free to do whatever you find proper. 
"How to paint this fresh paper is up to you."

Trusan never held any fixed classes. Instead, she took Dodoro out, and they did many different things, such as sightseeing in the wilderness, embracing nature, and having picnics. In the meantime, she also taught Dodoro the necessary knowledge along the way.
She occasionally brought Dodoro into the bustling city and told him about the stories of mankind and their daily lives. Even though Dodoro never showed many reactions, Trusan kept telling her stories as if she were Dodoro's true grandmother who never got tired. The stories sounded redundant sometimes, but they did a perfect job in teaching Dodoro how to use words correctly.
Once, Angor followed behind Trusan for an entire day while using Infinite Reticence. He was content with her means of teaching, so he decided to leave the pair be. He would only talk with Trusan about her progress during dinner.
The day grew darker.
Inside a large manor located at the outskirts of Water Grasse, Leonrick paced back and forth anxiously. He would sip some wine every now and then before he started to pace around again.
His daughter, Margot, sat in front of the table while she held her chin, seemingly thinking about something.
This was what the mistress of the count's manor, Cyndia, saw when she came to the great hall.
She looked at the butler who was in charge of serving wine. "How long have they been like this?"
The butler lifted two fingers and whispered, "Two hours, my lady."
Cyndia scoffed at Margot and joined Leonrick. "What are you worrying about? He accepted your letter. Whether he comes or not, we've sent our regard. Besides, it's not time yet."
Leonrick moaned. "You don't understand. If he's really a wizard, the whole Zeal Dominion won't stop him from doing something terrible."
"He didn't do anything, right? You worry yourself," Cyndia said as she dragged Leonrick to a seat. "Stop thinking nonsense and wait. We can't let that mister see you drinking while walking around like a fool."
Leonrick nodded. He surely didn't want to smell like alcohol in front of a great being. 
But he couldn't help it!
A standing clock announced that it was 8 o'clock in the evening, which meant it was half an hour away from the time indicated on the invitation letter. According to conventions, guests would usually arrive at such a time. 
That sir is probably on his way… if he means to come. Leonrick thought.
A manor guard entered through the wooden door of the hall.
"My lord, the guest is here."
"He is?" 
"He is!"
Leonrick and his daughter exclaimed at the same time, but with different emotions—surprise and joy. 
Cyndia and Leonrick stared at Margot. 
"I-I-I just—"
"Stop," Leonrick interrupted his daughter. "Once you apologize to our guest properly, get back to your room and stay inside."
Margot looked about to cry. "But father! What do you mean? It's not polite to leave in the middle of dinner!" She winked at Cyndia while complaining.
Usually, Cyndia would help her daughter in different situations. Today, however, she chose to side with her husband.
Margot's intention was so obvious in the eyes of this couple. It was natural for a young girl to pursue a companion. But… this was not a proper companion!
She had spent a week "muted", and she still hadn't learned how to read the situation!
Before Margot could protest further, they heard footsteps approaching.
A team of knights walked inside, and they split into two lines. They placed their spears down on the floor in unison, removed their helmets, and went down on one knee.
As a visitor walked into the hall, they bowed down their heads one after the other.
A way of salutation that was only meant for honored guests.
Between the two lines of knights, a young man with black-and-white checkered overcoat walked in with steady steps. 


A young traveler who receives enlightenment from another civilization is on a mission to save his beloved mentor. In his journey to seek the ultimate truth, he travels extensively and along the way, he experiences some unpredictable encounters. Will he be able to save his mentor or will his path be derailed?

A few days later, Lord Mano called everyone into the meeting hall for a couple of announcements. Mano looked around the clan's meeting hall, all his wives, as well as his children, were present. 

"I've gathered you all here because the Clans Convention is about to commence. I will be gone for six days, at the least. I'm placing Lady Jaelah in charge of the household until I get back." 

Whenever he would leave for the convention, something always happens.

One year during the six days he was away. One of his wives decided to have a ladies tea party. Everything was fine until another one of his wives also decided to have a brunch party on the same day. Both wives didn't tell the other. With madams showing up for both sides things started to get a little hectic. 
One of the ladies from the tea party walking to use the restroom, happen to overhear women from the brunch party talking about her. Not one to take gossip about her lightly she confronted those women. Chaos ensued, things were broken, and words were said. When he returned he was lucky to have a house to come back to. Since then, he has been ever weary of leaving for long periods at a time.

Lady Jaelah frowned at this arrangement. She has always been the one to go with Mano during these Clans Conventions. Meeting the other ladies and gentlemen of the high class was honor she looked forward to. The only time she wasn't able to go was when she was pregnant with their children, or feeling ill.

Everyone knew the Clans Conventions wasn't just for the clan heads, they were also for the spouses to make connections. The reason she's been able to push Kamryn and Lulu so far is because of the connections she made with other households. 

Last year she didn't get to go because little Lady Thalia wined to Mano about the unfairness. Now one of Thalia's sons is a counselor to the courts and the other one is one of the youngest generals in the army.

Lady Jaelah will never admit that Lady Thalia's sons just might be gifted enough to hold those positions. 

"With the children star-"

"Mano No!..." Lady Jaelah interruption caused the whole meeting hall to fall silent. Seeing that she let her emotions get the best of her Jaelah try to remedy the situation. 

"Excuse me?..." Mano knew what caused Jaelah to shout, but that doesn't mean she can undermine him. Especially in front of the family.

"I mean I can't possibly be the one to care for the household since I will be going with you to the Clans Conventions,...did you forget?" 

Jaelah words were delivered smoothly and with a burst soft laughter, but held a hint of authority. Like she was telling Mano she was going to the Clans Conventions, not asking.

"You are not going this year." Mano's retort was short, domineering and straight to the point. 

Some of the wives gathered in the room enjoyed seeing Jaelah pushed down two pegs. 

Cause she was the first wife, Jaelah forever thought she was better than the others. Looking over the fact that in their society, the head of the clan can have as many spouses as they wanted; but all the spouses would hold the same status in the family household.  A wife was a wife, whether she is first or last.

"Mano!.... You have to take me, there is no other option! You didn't take me last time...." Pointing in Lady Thalia's direction. While the other members of the family were shocked, but relishing the show Jaelah was putting on. ".....now you think to once again replace my spot with another!..." Jaelah stood up at this point looking around the room at the other wives. Turning back towards Mano, " I REFUSE! I AM GOIN-"

*BOOM*

Lord Mano released a third of his power into the meeting hall, directing the majority of it straight towards Lady Jaelah. Her knees buckled beneath her. Her face broke out in sweat and tears, her bones felt like they were disintegrating into dust.

The members of the family in the meeting hall felt the weight of Mano's oppression. Though it was only a fourth of what Jaelah was feeling it still caused them shortness of breath. The younger ones like Mika could barely hang on. 

'There's always one person who ruins it for everybody.' Mika though as she was about to pass out.

"Ma...Man... Ma...Mano...I sorr...sorry. I...I did..didn'"

"Still won't shut that mouth of yours." Mano lifts he head that was resting on his hand, to look at the surrounding hall. 

"This is not your old family's home. This is the Amara clan. My Amara clan. I am head of clan here, not you." Turning his gaze back to Lady Jaelah direction.

"I...kno..know."

"Oh...you know and still think the question me." Mano let loose a little more of his power towards Jaelah. At this point Jaelah was laying flat on the meeting hall's floor, everyone else was clutching their chest.

"I give you the respect you deserve as my spouse, just like I do all my other wives.....but just because I let somethings slide, does not mean you are HEAD OF THE AMARA CLAN!..." 

In that short shout, Mano released the rest of his powers, like a whip it slashed at their bodies before withdrawing it away.

 "I and only I will decide who will be a successor. Who will accompany me to the Convention... Is. That. Clear. To Everyone." Mano looked around the room, to a chorus of "yeses" and nodding. 

Mano walked to the doors of the meeting hall, "Good, meeting adjure"

Meet Lila, she an outspoken orphan who lives on a planet that's about the end. Born to stay in the background by the people who abandoned her and friends who betrayed her. Lila wonders if her fate really is to just die.

But second chances do come to those need so what do you say Lila?

 "Sure, what the hell!? I like to be born again." 

Hopefully her life will be much longer this time.

words? Exactly? One of the novelties of the Internet era is that journalism has been freed from the constraints of the printed page. Instead of conforming to the conventions of the column, the quarter page, the half page—limits that often meant unfortunate last-second cuts—the writer could now make the story as short or as long as seemed right.

But what is right? A regular reader of The Guardian online, I often find its featured articles tiresomely long and rambling. You scroll down, imagining the piece almost over, and instead it goes on, and on. There should have been some warning at the beginning telling you how many words lie ahead. So, no sooner does the Internet give us oceans of space than we realize that length was never just a problem of column inches. As with the editing process, which I discussed in a previous post, there is the question of an understanding between writer and reader about what kind of reading experience is being offered. Readers like to suppose that their favorite writers—journalists, novelists, or poets—are absolutely independent, free from all interference, but the truth is that if an author indulges his own private idiolect or goes on for too long, he can at best expect to divide readers into those who admire him slavishly, whatever he throws at them, and those who set him aside in desperation. At worst he will be left with no readers at all.

Is there a relationship between a writer's respect for these conventions and the content or tone of what he writes, the kind of opinions we can expect him to have? I have recently been re-reading Dickens, who published his novels in weekly or monthly installments with strict limits on both the number of words in each installment (around 18,500 for a monthly and 4,700 for a weekly) and the total number of installments (twenty for a monthly, thirty or more for the weekly). Many other novelists published in this way of course, but few relished the form as Dickens did. His contemporary Trollope would write an entire book before allowing its serialization to begin, so anxious was he to stay in control, while Thomas Hardy intensely disliked working for the popular magazines, with the propriety they demanded, and reserved the right to publish an uncensored version in a single volume when the serialization was through. By contrast, Dickens did not worry about having the plot entire in his head before he started, and enjoyed the constant feedback from readers, which arguably influenced the shape his stories took. Different meanings of "hot." My hunch is that the first "hot" is temperature hot. The second "hot" is sexually attractive hot.

I'm fairly sure that you mean to have "not" in there instead of one of the versions of "hot". I'm guessing it's an OCR issue. "not" is far too common a word to be left out...

What's the source for this list? It's different from many of the others. For example the word 'because' usually shows up in the top 100, but is absent here.

"No, Your Highness. We have no memory of the before-times. Before this Sithern was magicked into being, our memories are ones of thought and fiction. Fleeting moments of wonderment and joy as the mortals dreamed our stories and told our tales.

"We are Myth made real, filled with the breath of life.  It is why we have remained instead of fleeing to the Summerlands or Talahm. Duchess Wynne offered us passage through the portal to Talahm, but we were uncertain if the forms that we have been gifted would last in worlds not our own."

"You were all born at the same time? Adult and Ranked?" I inquired my surprise evident.

"Volar-fey are more attuned and connected to the cycles of nature. We do give birth to our children. But in rare instances, Danu stirs, and the flowers of the field respond to that stirring. The Demi are the result.

"No matter the species, Volar, Wisp, Aziza, Sprites or Fey. If they are Demi, they are magic given form and function. As long as magic exists, the Demi will survive and thrive," Petal explained.

"Are you bound by System?" I asked.

"At our birth, we weren't. But our agreement with Duchess Wynne altered us. That agreement gave us access and structure to the Ranks, levels, and skills that the System provides."

That was interesting. It made me wonder if Earth's population could be brought under System dominion. S-Prime might have an issue with it, but if it worked, it would be an effective way to stymie the God Particle Research project. I had planned something else, but perhaps System integration would be an effective countermeasure to CERN.

It would certainly be a permanent solution.

I'd had Cedric gather a few dozen Silinium seed nodes. Part of my plan had been to release these 'seeds' into Earth's ley-line streams. I thought it might work as a temporary stopgap to have the metal accumulating God Particles. The energies to be absorbed by the Silinium here, and with the Portal closure that should jump-start and multiply normal growth for the Silinium seed stock.

I did wonder how System assigned Rank and level for fey that was created and not born, or those inducted into the System without Ascension chambers. Perhaps it was an exception made for the first generation, and from this point on Ascension and growth would return to the conventions sanctioned and established by System. Or maybe Duchess Wynne had found a way to farm experience for them so that they were able to gain advanced Ranks and levels.

I would ask, but I had been informed, constantly, that it was considered taboo to breach the subject of levels unless you were considering forming a covenant bond; servant, staff, Vassal, House member, the type of bond that might be formed was irrelevant, but until it was in place, level and stats were closely held.  I'd been to free with my information until that point had been forcefully impressed upon me.

The paths System provided were tailored to individual desire and determination. No two people would level and Rank up in the exact same manner. To question how an individual reached a certain Rank was tantamount to stealing proprietary lineage or declaring contempt and disdain for the family's heritage.

When I'd derided Leian's ability to attain her new Rank at the banquet, the insult of my words was much more egregious than I'd realized at that moment. It was common knowledge that the children of the Ranked and wealthy were 'power-leveled', but to actually discuss the actions and their results was never done publicly. To do so invited repercussions, for those who engaged in the practice felt compelled to defend the honor of those who had basically cheated and gamed the System.

Lady-Knight Petal waited patiently as I considered our conversation, the Sithern did not. Part of Danu's Blessing [Danu's Kiss] allowed any Sithern I created to move to my will. To become a living, breathing appendage that provided succor and protection. But those buffs and blessings were only meant to apply to any Sithern I might create.

Interestingly, it seemed no one informed Duchess Wynne's Sithern of that limitation. As Petal and I chatted, as I considered the idea that the System may have guided me here,  for the sole purpose of infecting this World with the System Paradigm.  The possible ramifications to Earth if System gained traction, the Sithern began to change; it conformed to some hidden signal I was unaware I was projecting. 
The changes started with the flowers. The fields before me were beautiful and fragrant, the flowers were varieties I'd never seen before nor could I identify them before they began to evolve. But as evolution and mutation took root, they slowly transformed into varieties I was familiar with.

The ground cover became clover. Uniform fields of golds bloomed with blues, violets, and reds as flowers native to Earth erupted from the ground in an explosion of color and perfume. Tulips, roses, daisies. Flowers that were native to this world supplanted and replaced the cultivated garden that Duchess Wynne had created.

Trees stretched toward the sky; bark and leaf twisting and forming a path of trellises that opened a path leading to an exit in the distance. The trees natural cycle of growth continued until Cherry Blossoms had formed. Branches heavy with beauty and the promise of a bountiful harvest. Cherries, ripe and abundant matured, and the sound of water cascading in the background completed the newly transformed field.

A burst of magic. Magic that contained the joy and childish delight of the Sithern completed the metamorphosis as a Japanese stylized gazebo was constructed to complete the aesthetics. A landscape that would be perfectly at home, as the pride of place for any Japanese Gardener.

Satisfied that the Sithern has finished, I thought it prudent to acknowledge the gift and honor I had been given. Reaching into my Ring of Hidden Depths, I withdrew one of the Silinium seeds I had harvested. Reaching forth and injecting my mana into the metal, I acknowledged the pulse of life that began to beat in harmony with the Sithern.

Holding firm to will and intent, I began to sculpt the metal until a shallow bowl had been formed.  I grabbed another Silinium seed to fashion a base.  I constructed a pedestal for the bowl to rest upon and attached the crafted bowl to the unworked raw seed stock. Placing the materials near the gazebo, I withdrew a knife to once again make an offering of blood. This time encouraging my life's energies and magics to mingle with the blood that filled the bowl.

Death is not the end.  But actions do have consequences and based on how you lived your life, second chances are possible.  

I was given a second chance.  I could choose how to reincarnate, who to be, and what Universal constants would impact my next life. 

Who wouldn't try to game the system and take all the advantages possible?

And when I learned that creatures of mythology, the ancient Gods; Olympians, Asgardians, Sidhe, lived and ruled, how could I resist?

This is a slice of life type novel that deals with RPG elements including System, Leveling, Politics, Transmigration, and Killing.

Know that the Main Character may experience setbacks and 'nerfs' as part of the narrative.  An MC that always wins is boring!

Today I have tailoring and alchemy. They both aren´t in my class, they´re in specially made buildings. 

I stepped inside the room of our tailor class and found it packed with half-finished clothing, fabrics, wool even silk. And between all this were around 17 woman and 2 guys. 

"Morning." I greeted them and they turned around to me, looking at me, almost staring. 
"Is something?" I asked. 

"Where did you bought your dress?" One of them asked. 

I wear a green dress with black lines on it, which seem to dance. 

"I made it myself." I said and got looks of envy and respect. 

Is it so good? I was bored and thought I shouldn´t wear my black or white dress every day. 

I searched for a chair and waited for the teacher, who came 15 minutes too late. 


"Sorry, I was delayed by a college, she told me a story about a girl with a really well made black dress." Said a little pudgy looking woman. 

She looked over the class and stopped her gaze over me. 

"You!" She said. 

"I?" I replied. 

"You match he description, and your dress looks like it was made by a master tailor. Do you own a black dress with a red pattern on it?" She asked. 

"I do." Me 

"Who made them?" She 

"I myself." Me 

"Really? Then you´re better than me." She said and squinted her eyes. 
"Well my name is Mrs. Tifany, your teacher in tailoring and we´re going to make some fine clothes this year. The theater class asked me to make some costumes for them and our goal is it to give them the best we can do." Mrs. Tifany 

Everyone nodded and Mrs. Tifany asked each one of us if we had knowledge about tailoring, 
it seems that all of us have at least a little bit and most of us were on LV 2. 
Mrs. Tifany is on LV 5 she said. 

She gave us some fabrics and we had to make something we want, she wants to see the extent of our skill. 


I asked her. 
"Mrs. Tofay? Is there a guild or something like this where I could sell inventions of new?" 

"There is but it´s hard to get a good price if you don´t have some connections. I know one of the higher-ups, you can show me your new thing and I´ll see if I can manage something." She said. 

"Then could you please come with me to a dressing cabin?" I asked. 

"You have it here? What kind of dress is it?" She asked and showed me the way. 

"It´s something for the breasts." I said and took a bra in her size out of the inventory. 

She looked at it and said. 

"This looks well made, how do you wear it?" 

"Please undress your top and I´ll show you." I said and she did. 

I helped her putting it on, without fondling, I´m not into a saggy and chubby woman. 

"How do you like it?" I asked. 

"It fits well but what does it do?" She 

"It stabilizes your breasts, it also stops the nipple from rubbing against the fabric. It can make them looking larger and brings them into form." I explained. 

"This is wonderful and they also look good, this is indeed a good invention." She 

"And I don´t think I should make it public without a patent," I said. 

"Yes, you could make a lot of money with it. I say you what, I´ll speak with my friend and we´ll arrange something. But I want some compensation." She said. 

"How much?" Me 

"Oh no money, I already saw that you're better than me, so I want you to teach me how to improve. You´ll never learn out and have to know when someone is better than you." She said and got some respect from me for that. 

"Okay, I can do that." I said and we shook hands. 

The rest of the lesson I explained her the manufacturing process of my bra. 


I ate and left for my next lesson, it´s alchemy in which I don´t know what I should expect. 
I was so so in chemistry and I don´t know if this alchemy here is the art of mixing potions or if it is the equivalent of science to my world. 

The teacher was a grumpy looking man named Mr. Loris who said that we won´t mix any potions unless we´ve read and memorized a whole book with more than 1000 pages all of them about plants. 

Seems like it is about potions.I would never to this in my old world but here it only took me a few minutes. 

I didn´t need much time for the whole buck but thought. 

I have to be careful, I heard that you can get insane with so much knowledge. But then when wasn´t I already insane? 


I walked up to Mr. Loris and asked. 

"Mr. Loris?" 

"Yeah? Your name´s Clair ain´t it? I´ve heard of you. Don´t say it, you want to make potions because you know all of the described plants in the book I gave you, am I right?" He said and I nodded. 

I think the teacher talk about their students, that could mean that this art teacher might come. 

"Good then here are some questions, for what do you use Hulweed, where does Galikaroot grow and what happens if you eat Curalipetals raw?" He asked. 

"Hulweed is used for sedatives and could paralyze in extremely high doses, it´s often used by field doctors because it´s relatively easy to find and easy to handle. You just have to ground it and smear it on the wound for an effect. 

Galikaroot grows in caves, it´s hard to get because it grows in the feces of the Galika monster which is ranked A on the monster ranking list. 

And you´ll die if you eat Curalipetals raw, it dissolves your stomach and you´ll die by internal bleeding's. But if you boil it beforehand it´s a good stomach medicine. " I said. 

"Yep you´re the Clair they talk about, good, then I´ll talk with the headmaster," He said. 

"Why? I only want to make potions." Me 

"Because you only start with potions in the second year, so I have to ask him if you could skip this year. He´ll probably summon you in the next week." He said and gave me 3 other books. 

"These are the books up to the fourth year, you normally learn them while you work on the plants from the year before but you´re a little different. 
I expect good results from you, the years with you here might become interesting. " He said and motioned me to go. 

I read them and were astonished by the vegetal knowledge of this world. There are thousands of plants for medical and alchemical usages. 


The day went on and I walked to the orphanage after my lessons. 

I was greeted by some children who brought me to Hira. 

"Hira, miss Clair is here. " They shouted. 

We went inside and I saw Hira with Alina sitting on a table, talking. 

"Hi, what´s the topic?" I greeted them. 

"Miss Clair nice to see you, I talked with Hira about the things we need to buy, let me thank you again for your generosity." Alina said and bowed deeply. 

"There´s no need for that. And what do you want to buy?" Me 

"We thought about hiring some carpenters, who can fix our roof and fence," Hira said. 

"You don´t have to, I can make that." Me 

"We couldn´t allow such a lady as you to make your hands dirty by repairing our roof." Alina. 

"I would use magic for that." Me 

"You could do such a thing? I heard that magic is mostly for specific usage." Alina asked. 

"I´m a little special, show me the broken parts and I´ll repair it or should we make a whole new building?" I asked. 

""A whole building?"" Alina and Hira 

"Why not? It would look better and doesn´t need as much renovation as this building." Me 

"Are you sure you can do that?" Alina asked worriedly. 

"I think, what do you like more wood or stone?" Me 

"Äh...ehm stone would be best. But let me first get all the things out, the children have to help." Alina said and we brought everything we could use outside. 


It took us not much time to get the things outside because I said that we´ll buy new furniture. They only took a lot of blankets and personal stuff out. Now we´re standing in front of the old building. And I began. 

I imagined a large house out of stone in my head, it should be three floors high, it has to have a basement for the food and other things, a giant room for eating on the ground floor, with a kitchen and a large bath. Then for the first floor a large living room, where they´ll have many toys and a working room. The two upper floors are for the children and staff. Ten rooms each floor, with enough space for two children in every room. And single rooms for the staff. 

This should be enough. 1 million mana, pretty much. 

I willed the building to vanish into nothingness and raised the new one out of the ground. It has no furniture, but we will buy it later. 

The ground quaked and the children as well as Hira and Alina were making large eyes. 
I turned around and said. 

"Now we´ll need furniture, please describe the things you´d like to have." 

But the children needed a few minutes to come over their shock. 

"You can go inside, I´ll be on the ground floor with Alina and Hira, the first floor will be a playground and the second and third floor is for you to life. There are no beds and other furniture, but I´ll make them later. Please choose a roommate and then come down to me." I said and pulled the still stunned Hira and Alina inside. 


"Th...this is... breathtaking," Alina said. 

And for normal people it would surely be, the walls were out off polished stone, the floor is made of dark brown wood, and everything looks extremely pretty. 

I began to produce the furniture, a giant table with chairs around it, tableware, and some other furniture. 
The next thing was the furniture for the first floor. I made a giant fluffy carpet and some toys out made of wood. Blocks and such things, a rocking horse and a small fort. Specific things like dolls will come later and will be handmade. 


The first children came to me and I started to make beds with real mattresses. They didn´t know them but were delighted when they lay down. Some closets and desks and I were finished. I was in Hiras room as a child came inside and said. 

"Miss Clair, there are guards who want to know what happened." 

So I went down and saw ten guards and a few onlookers. 

The guard noticed us and asked me politely, probably because I look like a noble. 

"Hello miss, we heard some noises and saw this building sprouting out of the ground, may we know how this happened the reason" 

"Sure, I am the new supporter of this orphanage and thought I should renovate it, so I used magic and build a new one." Me 

"You surely jest, miss, this is far beyond any magic," He said and gestured at the building. 

"Oh, I´m not lying, I can show it. I wanted to make a new fence and some stone statues." I said and waited for a reply. The guard deliberated with his comrades and finally said. 

"Very well, you may demonstrate your magic." 

I destroyed the old fence and a new 5-meter high fence out of stone rose from the ground, an entrance with a metal gate, with two lion statues made of stone in front of it was behind me. 

The onlookers and guards all had an open mouth. 

Is there a title for making people do this? 

"You see, nothing to worry," I said. 

"Yes indeed, it was magic... I´ll give you a warning, this district is dangerous and such a building will get attention from thieves. You should employ guards. Now then, have a nice day." The guard said and left. 

We went back inside and finished with the furniture. And I was suddenly hugged by Alina who began to cry. She remained in this position and finally said after she wet my dress. 

"Thank you, thank you, thank you, I thought I have to close this orphanage, which raised me and then you came and made all this wondrous things in just two days. Say is there anything I could help you with? I would do everything." 

"Hm, I plan to buy a slave I meet a few weeks ago when I do that could she live here for the time I need to buy us a house?" Me 

"A slave?" Hira said. 

"Ah yes, she is an elf and I met her in an inn. I healed her scars but forget that she now might be sold, so I thought I should buy her this weekend." Me 

"Off course she can, you´re really generous," Alina said. 

"Not really, I do most of the things I do on a whim." I replied, but they said that they do not agree with me in this case. 

"Hira, I´m sorry, but we have to begin your tailor lessons tomorrow, I need to enchant the statues, so that they´ll protect this place. " Me 

"You can even do that?" Hira. 

"Yes I did it with your old desk, I tried to enchant it with the maximum of enchantments I could muster. It worked well but now each demon who goes in your old house will die by laser attackers." I said nonchalantly. 

"What?" Hira asked, but I ignored her and walked to the lions. 


The enchantments were as followed. 

One for making them into golems, then strength, agility, durability boosts, resistance for physical and magical attacks, a friend-foe recognition, as well as an enchantment for an artificial intelligence that could discern between both. And last but not least an enchantment for extra mana capacity and enough mana to stay in use for a couple of hundred years(500 million). 

I finished my work, went back inside and said my goodbye. 


I went to my dorm, ate with Kira and Lina, who talked about their day and went to sleep. 


The next morning was normal, waking Kira and Lina, then breakfast, a quick shower, and school. 

Today are the last two lessons for this week and I´ll visit Ilza after teaching Hira. 
I have forging and monster theology today. 

Monster theology was first. 

The lesson started with our teacher who brought a stuffed wolf. 

He´s called Mr. Wafhunt an old man and he was a hunter who earned his money with hunting exotic animals, now he´s teaching his knowledge for the future generation. At least that´s what he said. 

We got a monster encyclopedia and our instructions are mostly theoretical, we also got more books. But we´ll go on an excursion after the school tournament. So we have to train. 

There´s nothing extraordinary to mention, I produced a little ruckus as I slept during his lesson and he tried to embarrass me with questions, which I could answer because I already knew the content of his book. This in return caused him to ask more questions until the lesson finished. 


I ate and went to my forging lesson. 

The forge was a giant hall with many furnaces and all of my fellow students are muscle packed men. 

I recently know why woman is so annoyed with the stares of men, they don´t stop. 
And because I speak from experience, I also know their thoughts. 
But I have the opinion that these stares are a kind of compliment so it wasn´t that hard, that and because I could kill all of them with a thought if they would try something. 

There was this guy who tried to touch my ass during lunch break, let´s say he won´t touch someone for a long time without thinking twice. 

But back to the topic, the teacher came and said I could leave as thin as I am but I "convinced" him by lifting an anvil with one hand. 

He then lectured us about ores but I didn´t listen as I already knew them. He noticed that and asked me why I was so absent and I replied that my dad´s a blacksmith and I am his apprentice. He asked me a few questions but stopped after the third one realizing that I speak the truth. 

He said that we´re allowed to use the forge whenever we want, but we have to bring our own ores and tools. 

We also got a book about forging while embedding mana into your sword. 
It says that it´s a technique for master blacksmiths and could produce with an extra enchantment a sentient sword. I´ll have to try it later, I need to try if I could make a sentient sword which can change its form. 

Well, that´s about forging. I went back to my room, left a note that I´ll be out for the weekend and visited Hira. 

She said that there were some thugs who tried to break in, but they were swiftly killed by my statutes. 
But they had to clean the mess. So I made another enchantment on them which allowed them to use simple water magic. Now they should be able to clean it on their own. 

I thought Hira simple stitching and sewing and left her a large pile of fabrics for practice. 
I also made dinner for all and it was greedily eaten. 

It was night and I changed into my Dex form with wings and started to fly to Ilza, hoping that she´s alright.....

3 years have passed since his first assassination. In this time he has completed over 1000 successful assassinations. Losing most of his emotions, Zero now acts as a smart robot. He has mastered many different types of blades, but his favourite is the rapier, scythe and long metallic wolflike nails. His shooting is now perfect as he hits ten out of ten shots, his favourites are Barrett 0.50 sniper rifle and ATM AutoMag III. Today was his 1023rd mission.

March 2098, 4:53 a.m., Toyko 

Zero was running away as someone was trying to assassinate him as he was planning to betray Lucas, as he was the only one to survive Project Mayhem and they also labelled him a threat because he wasn't following orders anymore and doing whatever he wanted. Right now he was on the roof of an apartment complex. Reaching the end of the building he decided to jump down. As he was falling a portal appeared below him. He tried to shift in midair but it was too late. 

Somewhere on a distant planet in another multiverse, in the castle of the main West human kingdom, a portal opened in the throne room. In the room stood the king, the crown prince, the princess, the court magician, and the royal guards. 

"Is the summoning going to work this time?" 

The magician looked at the king: "Not to worry, Your Majesty. We have used more magic and materials for this summoning than before." 

Suddenly out of the portal fell Zero, doing a roll to get back on his feet, confused as he looked around. The king's eyes shot open. 

'It finally worked!'

"Greetings hero, I am King Arthur the king of the Estisan Kingdom. I have summoned you here to help with the battle between humans and demons," with a smile, greeting Zero.

'So he wants to use me as cannon fodder? Yeah, that's not going to happen.'

"Greetings, King Arthur. I'm sorry but that won't happen. I'm not a hero."
 
"What do you mean, Hero?"

"I won't follow you and why should I?"

"For honour, of course!"

"What do I gain from honour?"

Arthur just turned silent, he just wanted to use the hero as cannon fodder, but how was he supposed to know that the hero was going to be smart instead of stupid like the rest of the kingdom's heroes.

"So you won't help us?"

"I am, I'm just not going to follow you to do it. I like to work alone."

"If you're not going to listen to my orders, then there's no point in leaving you alive!"

As he finished his sentence, he commanded the royal guards to surround him. About 50 of them made a circle around him, spears and swords pointed at him.

"There is no escape, Hero!"

Zero looked at them and created two ATM AutoMag III's and aimed it at the king.

"I'm sorry to tell you, King Arthur, but even they can't save you." 

Zero aimed one pistol towards the king's head and the other towards someone who looks like a magician. Shooting both through their heads. The crown prince and the princess started screaming, as their father's blood was sprayed on their face.

"You mother fucker!" screamed one of the guards.

Zero just pointed the gun at him and shot. "What an idiot." Making the pistols disappear he created a beautiful white and cyan rapier, Zero got into a fighting stance.

"Come on. I'll just use a rapier. Nothing difficult for you in a 49 vs 1, is it?"

The guards started to run towards him, he stabbed the closest one in the abdomen. Turning around he sliced one's hand off and another he stabbed through the knee. Blocking behind his head and turning to the side to avoid the spear. Stabbing, blocking and slicing he killed or heavily injured the guards.

Creating another ATM AutoMag III he aimed it at the crown prince and princess.

"I'll be staying here for a little while, hope you don't mind?"

They both got scared and obliged: "Yeah, of course! We don't mind! Just don't kill us!" Zero put away the gun and started to walk out of the throne room. When he left both of them looked at each other and both had the same thought: 'Dangerous!"

Finding a free room, he claimed it as his own. Going in and sat on his bed.

'I guess this world might be interesting,' thought Zero while he lay down on the bed. 

'The best option right now is to learn as much as possible about this world.' 

He got up and went to find the library, but he quickly got lost. 'Where's someone when you need them?' as soon as he thought that he saw the princess sitting in the garden. 

"Hey there, could you please show me to the library?" Zero asked as he walked towards her. When she saw him she got scared and started to stutter: "S-s-sure, no p-problem." She stood up and started to lead the way.

The library was big with a lot of books. Zero first went and looked at the books. He grabbed a book about the history of the world, two books about magic, a book about monsters and a book about races.

The book about the history of the world talked about how the world was created and what followed. This world is 10 times larger than Earth. It is said that God first created seven continents. On these continents, he put different kinds of life. On the continent of Illenos, he put the Humans which divide into the North and the South. In the South resided the normal Humans while in the North resided the so-called Gods children. The continent contained plains, mountains, lakes, forest and everything else. 

On the continent of Grytes, he put the Dwarfs, the continent is mainly made up of mountains. He put the Elves on the continent of Hytem which was largely forests. The Dragons on the continent Nimfra which was primarily plains and lakes. On the continent of Hasterym resided the Demihumans which was mostly plains and forests. And lastly the continent of demons Lyphe which was primarily wastelands.

Since the dawn of men, only 7 wars have occurred. The first war was about religion between the races and who they should worship. The second war was between the first two human kingdoms. The third through sixth was between humans and monsters. And the seventh which was more of a revolution between the poor and the rich.


He started reading one of the two books that talked about magic. It read the following: "Magic is everywhere in every entity. It can be used by everyone. Some have more talent in using magic and can use it either for good or for bad. There most common elements are Wind, Fire, Lightning, Water, and Earth. While there also exist other elements such as Time, Space, Ice, Death, and Light."

Finish reading through the book he realized, that the book didn't talk much about how to use magic and more focused on what it is. He opened the second book about magic and started reading.

"Magic is used, by sensing it in the air. When you sense it, attempt to navigate it towards your palms and condense it into what type of spell you would like and then release it forward."

Understanding that this was too long to do mid-battle, he started thinking that there must be an easier method. Putting that in the back of his mind, he decided to read the fourth book, he picked out. 

The topic was about monsters. The book talked about monsters that you see in every fantasy story. They were ranked based on how deadly they were, for example, slimes are harmless and are ranked Harmless. Whilst Fenrir, one of the strongest monsters, that can kill a god and has only existed in legends is ranked Apocalypse. 

The ranks go from Harmless, Dangerous, Lethal, Destructive, Catastrophe, Annihilation, Apocalypse. Each higher rank is 10 times stronger than the previous one. You can tell how strong a monster is by the colour of the crystal on their forehead. White is Harmless, green is Dangerous, blue is Lethal, cyan is Destructive, yellow is Catastrophe, purple is Annihilation and black is Apocalypse.

Humans also have a ranking structure that goes from I to SSS class. Each rank is 3 times stronger than the previous one. It takes 10 or more SSS ranked humans to kill 1 Apocalypse monster. Right now there exist 13 SSS ranked humans out of 4 billion on the human continent.

Finally finished with the book, he was excited to find out that this world is so much more interesting than Earth. He grabbed the last book which talked about races and started reading.

Humans: Are the most adaptable race. Ruled by Kings in the East and Queens in the West.

Demihumans: Hotblooded warriors. The most common are the Wolf-men and the Cat-men. Ruled by a King.

Elves: An arrogant and beautiful race as they deem themselves better than everyone. Ruled by a Queen.

Dwarfs: Short, yet strong. Perfect blacksmiths and have created all the legendary gear that exists to this day. Ruled by Kings.

Dragons: The laziest and greediest of the races as when they see something they will take it by any means. Also, the strongest of the races and are deemed closest to Gods in strength. Ruled by Queens. 

Demons: The most evil of the races and are the enemy of every different race. Ruled by a Queen.

Gods children: The race that deems themself as children of God as they have a higher affinity with the Light element than any other race in the world. "Ruled by God himself"

Ren Takeuchi codenamed Zero was part of a secret project by the Japanese in the year 2095 called Project Mayhem. The projects sole purpose was to create the perfect assassin.

 Due to this project, he has lost all human emotions like love, hate, sadness and so on. He learnt to use every type of blade and handheld gun created to this day. Since that day he had completed over a thousand successful assassinations.

"First let us offer our thanks to our father or mother, the ones that have created us in their grand image," with those words she lowers her head, and everyone follows suit. I watch as even my parents also bow their heads. 

I glance towards my brother, he's done the same, but he's got a slightly pained expression on his features. Following everyone else, I also lower my head. I didn't offer a pray to any God or Goddess, I think even without it. I was doomed to attract the attention of these Gods and Goddess. 

At the moment, I wasn't about to pay allegiance to any one of them. 

A minute or so passes, before the raspy voice of the woman draws our attention. 

"Raise your heads, we shall begin," she says with a soft but firm tone. I catch a glimpse of a tear hanging in her eye. She made no move to wipe it away, it was as if she was proud of it. 

"I'd like for all children of the age to step forward onto the stage," she says with a sweeping arch of her hand, and I notice to the side of the stone stage a staircase was carved into it. 

"Go on," Salem whispers to me as he releases my hand. I turn to look at my mother and father, but they've got a look on their face that also prompts me to head forward. 

Taking a small breath, I stand up and head out of the aisle and move towards the staircase closet to me. I wasn't the first child to reach the staircase, a boy with pointy ears reaches it just before me. 

He was a whole head taller than me; his crystal blue eye looks down at me. His features are angular ad delicate, he was an elf. This was the first time that I had seen an elf in the flesh. I'd read about them in books, but I'd never seen them in the flesh. 

His white eyes look into mine; he's got a stuck-up look to him, but as we continue to make eye contact a blush breaks out over his cheeks. He ducks his head and his long hair swishes around him as he quickly climbs up the stairs. 

What a strange child. 

I follow him up the stairs and stand next to him. Quickly following suit a small number of children flock forward, it was a smaller number than I thought it would be. But after looking at the races that had stepped forward it made sense. 

None of the other races were like the human race, they didn't bare large swaths of offspring like humans. It was quality over quantity when it came to other races because children of other races were inherently stronger than humans, it was a balance to have less of them. 

Looking at all the children, I notice that they are all nervous. The beautiful woman turns to us and looks over each and every one of us. At the same time, two other priests walk onto the stage. One of them waves their hand a stone table appears just in front of us. 

The other one places a book onto the table and withdraws a clear glass bottle and places it onto the stone table next to the book. The glass bottle held a clear almost blueish tinted liquid. 
I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow, what did they have planned for us exactly? 

"My lovely children, we shall begin the process of opening your life page," the beautiful woman spoke again. She was obviously the one that was leading this whole show. 

"Dear please step forward, we'll start with you," she says beckoning the elf boy forward. 

He steps forward towards her, there is a bit of hesitation on his features, but he grits his teeth and steps forward one foot at a time. 

I mentally give him a round of applause that took a lot of bravery, there wasn't much written about the ceremony of five, in terms of what one went through. 

Arriving in front of the woman and the table, the boy stands with a straight back in front of her. The two other priests uncap the bottle and pour it into a tiny cup before handing it to the lead priestess. 

She hands the small cup to the boy and mentions for him to drink it. He looks down at the swirling liquid with a blue tint and raises it to his lips. He quickly finishes the small cup of liquid. Stepping towards the boy, the woman places her hand atop the head of the elf boy. 

The eye that was covered by the eyepatch, opened, or it would be correct to say that the eyepatch opened, it turned completely clear. It was a little shocking at what was revealed after it turned transparent.

In place of the eye, a completely black eyeball was in its place, the black flames curled around the whole socket of the eye. A bright white symbol appears in the black flames of her eye, directly onto the completely black eye. 

She began to murmur a few more words and as she did a bright black and white glow appears around the right hand of the boy. Soon it transforms into a bright light, almost so bright it was like the birth of a star. 

But before the blinding light could grow anymore the light began to curl into itself. Condensing into a small ball of light, which swirls around his palm before, darting upwards and slamming into his forehead a bright light explodes on his head and then it vanishes. 

DING! 

The loud sound of a bell ringing echo's through the sanctum. 

The woman removes her hand and the sound of a bell fades. He glances down at his hand. 

"Now sign your name into the book of the God's," she tells him softly. He approaches that table and one of the priests hands him a pen and he quickly signs his name. 

Once he's done, he takes a step back and bows to the three of them and then returns to his spot in the line, which is right beside me. 

It would appear that it's my turn now, glancing towards the elf boy, I notice he's got a slight flush to his cheeks and a radiant look in his eyes. It looks like he was excited. 

Stepping out of line, I make my way towards the woman, her eyes weren't glowing anymore, she'd returned to normal. She already had a small glass of the blueish liquid prepared for me. 

She hands it to me and before I drink it, she opens her mouth. 

"Young Princess Hollis," she spoke my name, and I feel an electric jolt of surprise run through me.

"It's truly an honor to be the one to do your ceremony of five," she says with a radiant smile on her features. 

With that, she doesn't say anything more but waits for me to drink the small glass of liquid. Once I do, she places her hand atop my head much the same way with the elf boy. This time I don't watch her, rather I watch my hand.

The words pour out of her mouth and instead of bright light, deep and overwhelming darkness appears in my hand, from that darkness a mass of flames is birthed. It curls around the palm of my hand and beings to overflow falling down my body and surrounding me. 

It was like a thick fog was pouring out of the palm of my hand. However, after a moment the seemingly uncontrollable black flames began to roll backward and fold inwards, much the same as the elf boys light. 

It continued until it began to form a black spherical circle, it was like all the light had been sucked out of the space where the black sphere was resting. It lifts off my hand and darts towards my forehead as well. 

A spine-tingling feeling rose from my spine and it felt like a wealth of information was being poured into my head. In my mind, I felt like a flower was taking root almost, it was the deepest of blacks, and its inky petals open and blossom in my mind. 

It was beautiful. 

"Please sign the book," she says softly removing her hand.

I quickly sign my name and give them a bow, before I shuffle back towards the line of children. My mind was still reeling from the information dump that had just transpired. It felt like I had just downloaded something into my brain.

Without wasting a second something appears in front of my eyes; it was a clear screen that displayed all of my information. 

This was indeed a lot like a fantasy game that I'd played in my last life.

This wasn't right, was it?! 

My eyes zero in on the blessing's 'Kin of the War Goddess' you have to be kidding. The second Goddess that visited me today was the Goddess of the War! 

I want to vomit; this was a nightmare. 

Why would that Goddess give me a title, blessing, and a unique skill? 

Was this some sort of nightmare…I wanted to shed tears at this point. 

The other three skills that I'd gotten must have been the gifts from the God of Life. I wanted to look more in-depth at them, but the sound of clapping drew my attention.

"And why is it not possible?" he said as he looks at her amusedly.  

Annelia look at the man who simply confuses her thoughts. Who is he? He is so mysterious and dark, and yet... attractive and strange. Who is he to confuse her like this?

"Tell me why it is not possible?" he questions again when she just stares at him. 

"M-monsters, vampires and mermaids are a product of imaginations. T-they s-simply DON'T exist. A-Are you saying that you are just a product of my imagination?" she said as he looks at her as amusement starts to show in his face. 

"And my sweet Annelia, where my I ask did they base the images of mermaids? The stories and descriptions of what mermaids look like?" 

"Y-you mean someone saw mermaids in reality?" Annelia said in awe.

"Or one of us started the stories of mermaids." 

"What do you mean?" she asks as he look at the seat he seated back then, he walks towards it and seat again crossing his legs and arm. 

"Some of us preferred to stay in your world; some may have married here and dwelled with all of you like a normal human. We prefer to call ourselves the protectors of the sea or… children of the sea. You see...… you do not live in a normal world, you just not noticed it but somewhat the impossible is truly possible. You thought that only you lived in this world but hidden deeply there are us who dwelled with you all… you just haven't noticed it because you humans only thinks of one thing and that is yourselves. That's what made the world mysterious."

"S-so you mean y-you are a sea nymph?" she said in a doubtful tone. 

"I believe you can call me what you humans are familiar with. But I am more different, more sovereign, more powerful and dangerous. The one everyone is avoiding for…. I AM the ultimate destruction." he looks at her with his dark green eyes that seems to change with his moods and Annelia look down to the floor to avert her eyes away from him or she might get lost again. 

"S-so y-your name is L-Luthan then." she said almost like a whisper. 

"That is half correct and half incorrect." he said as he stood then he waves his right hand and the book she just read appeared to his hand. 

"I have to leave, time is upon us but fret not, I'll see you again my dear Annelia." he gives her a light peck on her lips then he suddenly disappeared and Annelia was left hating herself for losing her mind and for letting him do that AGAIN to her. 

"Gosh, what am I doing?" she said as she locks the door and walk towards her room to sleep.

"Sorry Ren you can head home first, besides you already know that it's my turn on sitting my butt at the OSA (Office of the Student Affairs) today. So... good luck on your way home dude, see you tomorrow." 

Annelia took a deep breath just thinking about what Regie said, she was about ask Regie to accompany her to Mr. Benzamine's jewelry store to ask him about something. Since her friend is busy… bless her, she need to head there alone.

"Oh never mind I can do this." she said as she starts to head to Mr. old Ben's place. 

She was reluctant as she stands in front of the sliding door of the shop. She was suddenly startled when someone suddenly speaks behind her.

"Oh Miss Ren you are here. What can we do for you? Come in, come in." Annelia turned to see Leny Mae holding a bag of groceries. 

"Hello Miss Leny, good evening. I-am here to talk to you grandfather, if he is here. I have a q-question r-regarding about that old b--book. I-if I'm not disturbing anything." she said shyly. 

"No not at all. Come and I will call her down." Miss Leny pulls her in and made her seat on the waiting area as she went in to call her grandfather. 

"So you already read the book. I know right, you're confused, unable to believe. There is a great conflict in your mind fighting if you either believe or not. You're thinking that it's not possible for such creatures do not exist because they are only tale told for kids." the old man Ben told her as Annelia look at him really confuse and daze. 

"So what is it that you want to know?" he said as he leans on the handle of his cane. 

"Uhmnnn are mermaids tr-truly e--existing?" she said unable to find her nerve to consider believing in their existence. 

"Hmnnn it's hard to believe isn't it...… even if some of them are dwelling with us or even right in front of us. Yes… they DO exist BUT it is in you to believe or not. If you believe then they do exist but if you don't then they don't." he said as Annelia hold the pendant of the necklace she wore. 

"How di-did you come in possession of such book and how did you know about the---."

"I was saved by one from the plane I was on. We were sent by the government on a secret mission to save a kidnap senator in Costa Rica. We were passing the cost of Washington DC and the Bermuda when an enemy's jet came attacking us. We lost control in the sea and eventually sink. All of the people inside that plane drowned… except for me. A young beautiful mermaid came to rescue me and I clearly watch as she pulls me from the sinking debris of the plane before it hits the sea floor. She has this lovely bluish tail that glimmers like millions of diamonds; I saw how it changes into legs when she pulls me out of the water. She is young... around 6 or seven. She must be all grown up now maybe… same age as you. She give me that book and said that one day someone will come to me wearing a necklace and that I need to give that person the book. I still remember her soft words that feel like a melody in my ears. Before I lost my consciousness she told me her name... Marianna." The old man recalls as a smile appears to his face.

  
Annelia was feeling a little restless within the passing weeks; her thoughts are being invaded by that mysterious man and the tale told to her by Mr. Benzamine. For that passing week he…Luthan if that is his name never showed up. Annelia felt that somehow she was anxious. She was walking on her way to school when she heard her cellphone ring. She automatically reaches her jacket's pocket to answer the call. 

"Annie we are coming to pick you there at the end of your period. We are going for a vacation and don't worry we will wait for you at the boarding house so you can pack your clothes" said her mother while she wondered why out of a sudden they decided on going for a vacation and to where? 

Anyways! She can't blame them since summer is already here and she thought it is great opportunity to have a little time off from stressing school works. 

"Yes mom, I'll text you if we will be dismissed." she ends the call then sighs. 
 
Annelia was setting in her chair and waiting for their work to be finish since their teacher just entered a while ago to give them their activity then left them assigning someone to collect and leave it to her table in the office again. She was leaning on her seat when her thoughts went reminiscing what happened to her and that stranger she found to be called Luthan and a prince of a sea kingdom called Asheville. That was what she has read on that book old man Ben give her and was taken by Luthan after she have finished reading it. 

"You already KNOW who I am. You are just UNWILLING to admit it." 

"That is nonsense- I mean if you are the one I think you are- it's not possible." 

"And why is it not possible?" he said as he looks at her amusedly. 

Annelia take a deep breath upon remembering her conversation with him at her place when he suddenly appeared before her.

Annelia suddenly remembered how he kissed her and she felt her whole body burns as her face redden. 

"Ren are you okay, you're turning red are you sick?" she turns to see her friend Regie gaping at her. 

She immediately turns around as she touches her face to hide it from her friend. 

"N-no I'm fine don't worry, I'm not sick." she said as she diverts her attention to her desk to close her book and put it back to her bag when she heard someone speaks. 

"Uhmnnn Annelia do you have any plan for this weekend?" she turns to see Blake standing shyly in front of her as he slightly rubs the back of his head as he slightly reddens and smiles at her. 

"W-why?" she smiled and asks feeling a little bit confuse to Blake's sudden change of attitude. 

Blake turns to his friend Albert then look back at her. 

"A-ahmnn w-we uhmnn we are planning on going to the park tomorrow. I-we would like to know if you would like to come with us, you and Regie." he said as he looks at Regie who is looking thrilled. 

"I would love to...I'll be there." Regie said as she taps Annelia's shoulder. 

Annelia know what her friend is plotting but she smiles when she saw Blake seems to be delighted. 

"That's great so if you are coming then Annelia will have to come to. Annelia what do you say?" he said as they look at her. 

"Oh sorry no can't do. My family is going somewhere this weekend so I'm going with them, maybe next time." he smiled as she picks her bag and wave them goodbye as she leaves to the door she turns again. 

"Regie will go even without me, right Regie. (She looks at Regie and signs her using her hand indicating 'call me') See you all next week!" she said as she walk towards the exit.
