Long, long time ago, in a small, secluded eastern village...
There lived a certain human tribe with the mysterious beings they called "The Harts". 
The Harts were mythical beings that loved to play with illusion and could transform themselves to resemble something else. It was said that they never showed their real forms to anyone. 
The Harts needed to "synchronize" with other living beings and lived off their energy. The human tribe needed to protect themselves from outsiders. As such, the two sides started an unlikely relationship that proved to be so harmonious.
Until one day.
A mysterious plague started to come for the said human tribe.
The Harts, who had grown attached to this certain human tribe, felt disheartened seeing that their beloved partners would soon leave this world forever. Leaving all of them alone again. 
Not wanting to watch their cherished partners succumb to deaths and not wanting to return to their former lives of loneliness, the Harts decided to use their remaining power to save the human tribe, assimilating and fusing themselves with their respective partner. This way, they could save the humans they loved, and they could forever be together with their beloved partners.
Thus, the human tribe who were assimilated with the Harts shared some certain characteristics. Odd-colored eyes, abilities to create illusion and to transform. As if gaining the blessing of the mythical beings, most also possessed good affinity with magic.
The human tribe felt overwhelmed with gratitude of their beloved partners, and each time they closed their eyes to feel within themselves, they could feel the presence of the Harts inside them.
Therefore, the said human tribe decided to declare themselves as "The Hartmann"—the man of the Harts.

After I was reincarnated into the Hartmann family, I often heard such a story as a bedtime story. It was so dreamy and lovely—the legend of the Hartmann clan. In my opinion, it was a much better story than the legend of the Grabberton's origin. 
The legend of the Grabberton's origin portrayed a heroic story where the founder of the clan was the sole survivor of the tragedy that destroyed his hometown. Vowing that he would exact revenge on his family members and friends, he departed on a journey, conquering many ferocious beasts and absorbing their power, and eventually—the fateful encounter with the hero, the founder of Riviera country. 
While the tale really sounded all glorious and empowering, I preferred stories that emphasized more on "special bonds". Therefore, the Hartmann's tale won over my heart in an instant. 
At that time, when I first heard of the story, a question popped in my mind.
"If the Hartmann was actually a tribe, why is it that the Hartmann becomes only a clan—or a family?"
And then, my question was answered in a story about the founder of Riviera and his connection with the ones who would begin the Hartmann clan.


Long time after the Hartmann tribe continued their way of living: secluded, peaceful, and closed off from the rest of the world... Finally, war began and people started to notice the Hartmann tribe's peculiarity.
Many of them tried to win over the Hartmann tribe for they wanted to make use of the Hartmann tribe's unique ability, yet the Hartmann tribe stood still with their initial standing: That they wanted to live peacefully, not meddling in another's business.
Eventually, many of the parties, who at first wanted the Hartmann tribe's cooperation, started to view the Hartmann tribe as a potential threat. 
Until one day, one of the parties—if not a coallition of these parties—decided to make their move and annihilate the entire tribe.
Save for the last remaining Hartmann children. A pair of children, a pair of siblings... They were the ones who would become the founder of the Hartmann clan later on—a pair of twins.
Luchi, the older twin sister with red-green eyes and straight, long, and lustrous golden hair. Lanchi, the younger twin brother with blue-red eyes and his charming short golden hair. 
The two vowed that they would end the war that caused them to lose their everything and not let anyone else go through the same sadness and pain they felt. That was when they met the hero and his allies.  
It was said that the pair of twins were invincible when they were together. Together, they assisted the hero, Odis—also the founder of Riviera—and their allies in their journey to end the Great War and free the humans from their miseries, building the Riviera country.

I didn't know what caused me to dream that tale again.
It had been long since I last heard that as my bedtime stories.
Yet, I still dreamed of it again, and the twins' figures remained in my mind—at least, according to my imagination and the available portraits of them. 
As I woke up in my bed, trying to figure out the meaning of my dream (although I'm not always this superstitious), I started to think that I might know what triggered me to dream of it.

Right!
I was reminded of how Dad kinda made suggestive remarks—or hints that I might become a real older sister in the future.
As I haven't heard anything from Dad and Mom... yet, let alone knowing what gender would my little sibling be... yup, thus I imagined both genders—in the form of the Hartmann twins.
I never really noticed that I wanted to have my own children—I meant, my own younger sibling(s) that much!
Wow, this dream really revealed my deepest desire! 
I couldn't wait to hear a good news from Dad and Mom... soon, I believe!!

Soon...


Soon...?

Or not.

Even after I waited and waited, there didn't seem to be any signs.
I was expecting Dad or Mom to say that my new sibling was on the way, but...
What the hell am I seeing right now?

Dad, instead of spending more time at home to nurture his relationship with Mom, for the sake of giving me and Alt-nii the new sibling we hoped for...
Instead... he seemed to get busier and spent more time going on "work trip".

Did Dad get ton of new work when it was time for him to get pumped to give me a younger sibling?
That's really a pity, but well...

On the way home, the man did not ask about Tang Xiaoyu.
He did not even speak much.
The still and silent atmosphere in the dark car made Pei Ge slightly awkward.
For some reason, she just wanted to say something.
"Ziming, how are the kids at home? Are they already asleep?"
Her light cough broke the silence.
"Mhm. They're already asleep," he replied succinctly.
She was slightly taken aback by his response because she understood how difficult it was to coax those two to bed.
Bedtime stories must be read to them before they would sleep.
"You read bedtime stories to them?"
She looked at him in surprise. With the man's handsome yet cold face, she did not think him capable of coaxing children to bed and even telling them bedtime stories.
"I did." The man nodded at her in response.
"What story did you read to them?" The woman was suddenly curious because the storybook she left on An An and Ran Ran's bed featured several fairy tales for children.
"…Cinderella," softly replied the man after a prolonged silence.
Even if he was expressionless, she could clearly sense the struggle in his eyes when he mentioned the story's title.
"Pfft!"
She let out a laugh and grinned as she observed the man's side profile.
Seeing that aloof yet perfect face, all the gloominess in her heart disappeared without a trace.
All the negative emotions that she had for her best friend were gone because of the man.
"Cinderella… Sometimes, I feel that I'm just like that fairytale character."
She raised her head slightly as she leaned back on her seat and looked at the night scenery with a complicated gaze.
She was surrounded by numerous people who were helping her find happiness.
Pei Ge did not expect this light sigh of hers to invoke Ji Ziming's reactions.
"You're not Cinderella."
Red light. The car stopped.
His words were like a basin of cold water splashing at the woman and waking her up.
"Huh?"
Baffled, she looked at him and asked, "Why?"
"Because I'm not a prince."
A brilliant smile appeared on her face at the simple reply.
"Ha ha ha!"
She laughed for a long while before stopping.
She then focused an intense gaze on the man.
"Ziming, do you think I'm really dumb?"
The corners of her lips curled into a helpless smile. "I treat Xiaoyu and Zhengrong with double standards, and though I clearly know that my best friend… might be lying to me, I…"
She did not continue speaking and merely smiled helplessly.
"No, you aren't dumb but just too kindhearted." The man stopped the car by the roadside and turned to look at her. "But Pei Ge, sometimes, I hope that you'll be nastier. Like this, you won't be at a disadvantage and won't be hurt."


After a series of life-changing events, Pei Ge decides to start anew and rediscover her place in this world. She gets a new job, new friends and… a new boss whom she mistakes as a male host!

Young ones were in bed of course. Kegs of beer, bottles of wine, skewers of meat and vegetables were brought out to roast on the fire. 

Marcus noticed that the preparations happened very quickly so he asked the Chieftain, "You planned this in advance?" The 𝘠𝘢𝘯𝘢 Chieftain smiled, "We knew the new Wotan would come so to celebrate her  transition and to celebrate Olen's life we prepared." Seeing everyone had arrived and food stuffs were being prepared on the bonfire.  The Chieftain stood and said, "The Wotan, Cally has requested we tell how she came into our lives." Everyone present smiled and banged their fists on any object handy to make noise to show their appreciation. "At the end of the 1700's and the beginning of the 1800's, a woman came up along the coast. This woman was Marta of the Clan Wotan. Brave and honest. Fearless! She traveled alone. She came upon us, the 𝘠𝘢𝘯𝘢. We were pitiable, small in numbers, small in power."

Taking a long pull on his beer, (Wolves don't get drunk easily, but some enjoy the taste.) He continued, "Finding us, Marta wanted to help us. She told us she could see we would not survive the white man long. Did we want to become powerful?" Loud cheers sounded. "Did we want to grow in numbers?" Louder cheers sounded. "She showed us herself. She stayed with us and told us what becoming would mean. How we  could grow and live GOOD lives!" Wild shouting sounded and some of the truly younger men jumped and danced. "Then she asked again 'do you all want to do this?' And we said YES!" Marta changed me first. She stayed with us for one full year. Once I was strong enough and stable enough I changed the rest of the people. Then in the end, my old father who has left us, helped to change my bloodline back to his bloodline."

Everyone loudly shouted and cheered. Drinks were passed around and food began to be passed around. Marcus had just accepted a shish kabob of deer meat when he realized Cally had left the dancing crowd. He started to rise but the Chieftain noticed his intent and waved him back to his seat. "Marcus, this Cally, she is new and fresh. She also is Marta. She changed because Marta's story was full to overflowing. Bringing back memories is painful to her. Let her be. She will come back after I finish my tale." The Chieftain grabbed a skewer of meat and ripped off a bite. "Where was I?" He shouted to get everyone's attention.  "BLOODLINE!" "Yes, Yes, Once my bloodline had been changed back to the 𝘠𝘢𝘯𝘢. Marta asked if she could claim our lands and territories. Doing this would prevent others from stealing it from us! Haha! What a good deal! She claimed our lands. But they are our lands!" Insane cheering and drinking followed. Even the women and children who were present began to dance and shout. "We keep the land. It is ours, to hunt to fish. And SHE pays the taxes and pays us rent! Is this not a good deal?"

Marcus sat with the elders for some time before he noticed Cally had slipped back in beside him. She had a long neck bottle she was quietly sipping. Occasionally she would reach out and snatch food off his meat skewer but was otherwise quiet. She yawned a couple of times and leaned against Marcus. The Chieftain noticed and said, "How about I have Collin take you back?" Marcus nodded and sat Cally's drink aside. "Come little one. It's past your bedtime." 

Collin, a 24 year old college graduate appeared. He was perhaps 5 foot 6 inches with the dark hair and skin of his people. He smiled and indicated the way to his car, quietly. Cally seemed to be practically sleep walking behind Marcus. She had a happy dreamy smile on her face as she tripped along behind Marcus. Marcus tried to urge her to his side but she simply smiled, no, she would follow behind. Hee* she would follow anytime she could!

She is the strongest, the oldest, the Supreme Alpha wolf. And she was born yesterday. She has lived many lives and had too many names. Her loved ones have come and gone several times. It is best if she temporarily forgets.         
    After too  many centuries were-wolves lose their humanity. They become nothing more than ravenous beasts that must be destroyed to protect  humans and weres alike.    She is the answer. Now she is going home, the world has changed on her again. She must adapt and she must learn to lead her people through this crazy new world and she may even find her chance to love one last time.

Bo Jiu was slightly disappointed that her ploy was exposed. Hugging something else had the same effect.
He probably saw her discomfort because Qin Mo asked casually, "You can't sleep?"
"Mmh," she replied, sounding sullen probably because she wanted to cough.
Upon seeing this, Qin Mo walked over to pour another cup of water. Only this time, besides water, he also picked a book from the shelf.
It was the book he usually read. Bo Jiu recognized the cover page because the little princess had been reading it the day before.
"Go over a little." Qin Mo stood by the bedside. There wasn't much change in his expression.
But Bo Jiu, who heard these four words, suddenly became alive. Her small body moved to the left, emptying more than half the area. After she was done, Bo Jiu promised earnestly, "Momo, don't worry, even if we sleep together, I won't behave like I did yesterday, don't be afraid."
Qin Mo tightened his grip around the thin blanket and raised his eyes. He replied simply, "Shut up."
Bo Jiu was pleased and completely unaffected by the little princess's resistance. After all, she understood that he was shy.

Little children enjoyed listening to stories.
For Bo Jiu, she treated the things her father did as stories. But Mr. Bo was very busy and didn't have much time for storytelling. Accurately speaking, this was the first time someone specially read her a bedtime story. Initially, Bo Jiu was in a daze. Soon, as the story progressed, she started to cough less and all her attention was placed on the side profile of the little princess and the fascinating story.
Time trickled by slowly as the night flew by. The two of them weren't like others, probably because they were so similar.
Qin Mo didn't have anyone to tell him bedtime stories. He was just like a little prince – a lonely little prince. He would fall asleep reading a book every night.

The sound of laughing and giggling echoes through the late winter evening, chasing away the gloomy season of coldness.

"It is almost time for bed children, why don't all of you come here and I shall tell you a bedtime story?" called Alexandria, the king's mother, to her four little princesses grandchildren.

They came running toward her and sat close to their grandmother, eagerly waiting for tonight's bedtime story.

The four princesses were the heir of King Lionel and Queen Helena of the Hemsford empire, a peaceful and vast empire that surrounded by fruitful soil with river flowing which guaranteed to sustained enough food supply for the people and in economy trades.

The girls were very close with their grandmother who would always gentle and love telling them bedtime stories.

"Today's story will be ghost story, right grandma?" said Lily, the second princess. She is the most active among the princesses and sometimes her action can be a little bit boyish. Her hair was the shortest among the girls, which only a few inches pass her shoulder.

"No, don't grandma; I don't think it is suitable for us children. Isabella and Kathleen wouldn't dare to sleep tonight if it is a ghost story", said Anne, the eldest princess, objecting Lily's suggestion. Physically, Anne and Lily were almost look like a twin for they share their father's dark hair and fair skin tone color.

"Chickening out now are we Anne" asked Lily with a smirk on her face.

"I'm not"

"Oh yes you are"

"No I don't!"

"Hush now you two, please stop arguing, and yes Anne is right Lily, ghost stories are not suitable for a bedtime story, especially for children as all of you" said their grandmother, stopping the sisters' bickering.

Lily pouted her pinkish lips while Anne let out a sigh of relief.

"What kind of story should I tell you girls today?" asked the King's mother to the other two princesses who had remained silent the whole time, Isabella and Kathleen.

 "What do you want, Kath?' asked Isabella to her little sister Kathleen who was a year young than her.

"How about a beautiful princess story?" answered Kathleen with her blue glimmering eyes looking at her sister Isabella who shared the same features as her, blue eyes and light brown hair, which they got from their mother the Queen.

"Alright, it is decided then, tonight's story will be a beautiful princess story" said Alexandria, before the girls start another round of asking and bickering to each other.

"Once upon a time, in a faraway kingdom, there live a girl named Kathleen" she started her story.

That was on a cold winter in one of the many chambers of Hemsford Empire, thirteen years ago.

Many years passed and now the princesses had ground up beautifully. Princess Kathleen, the youngest, will officially become an adult for today's she reaches her eighteenth birthday.

The first rays of sunrise woke Kathleen on the morning of her 18th birthday, slanting through the window and falling across her lovely face.

It was a beautiful spring morning. Getting out of her bed, she walks toward the nearest window from her bed and opened it wide to let the morning fresh breeze into her bedroom chamber.

She could see flowers blooming beautifully with different colors in the lawn, with bees buzzing around it. Colorful butterflies flew in couples, and birds chirping a lovely song on the apple tree nearby.

Far at the end of the lawn, on top of the morning dew flowers bushes, she saw two feathers moving steadily. Knowing it was the guards on their morning patrol, she burst to laugh frantically while trying to catch her breath.

She always found it hilarious every time the guards passed by the bushes, with the flowers covering their head to toe from her view, only the feather which was on top of the guards' helmet can be seen, it makes it look like the two feather magically walking by itself.

She hurriedly walks to the door when she heard her maid calling for her from the other side of her bedroom door.

Smiling widely as she always does, Lucy, her personal maid, brought in her breakfast and placed it on the nearby table at the corner of her room.

"Good morning and happy blessed birthday Princess Kathleen. Wishing you in good health always and more lovely through time" said Lucy, wishing the princess while bowing respectfully.

"Thank you Lucy for your wishes, please rise"

Beaming with a smile on her face, Lucy raises her head and asked, "Her highness must be very excited for today's celebration, wasn't it?"

"Indeed I am" she replied with a soft smile on her face. A little worried flashed in her eyes for second, which hadn't caught by the maid.

It is true that the king will be hosting a banquet to celebrate his youngest daughter's birthday. In the same time, he had other ulterior motive. The king was hoping for his four princesses to find a suitor for themselves.

The four female heirs hold the future of this kingdom, and it worried the king that his four princesses hadn't married yet. They were either too young or not interested in marriage.

The king had sent invitations to all the neighboring countries, hoping that there will be a lot of royal bachelor to turn up for the occasion. By inviting a lot of young and unmarried men to tonight's celebration, chances for the princess to find a suitable suitor will be higher.

This is what troubled Kathleen; she hadn't had any thought of getting married yet, she felt that it is too early for her. There's so many for her to do and to learn, and also places waiting for her to explore.

But what Kathleen and the other princesses didn't know was, there's a gruesome reason for why the king was worried for his unmarried princesses, and had been actively searching for a suitor who's willing to marry and protect his heirs.

The Hemsford empire, a kingdom ruled by King Lionel Rosenberg. A long time ago, the royal ancestor of Rosenberg, made a blood contract with the devils a century ago by offering a princess to be the devil's bride for every 100 years, in exchange for the safety of the kingdom's citizens from the dark creatures. A century passed, it's time for another bride to be selected.

Forever killing just so that her heart can continue to beat is his sin to bear. No one can know, no one must know! What he has done can only be known to him and no other. A man, or can he even be called a man? A man so hideous...  you could even wonder if he's a monster or perhaps, in hindsight, he might be one. 

Anyways, he's not the only strange one in this town because strangely enough, not one of the city's inhabitants thought their mayor was strange nor did they ever think their town is strange.

'Lalala~ Evil lurks~ closer than you think~ kyahahaha'

"Now, now welcome back to another day of Autodale," said a mechanical voice of a man heard simultaneously  from every house in Autodale. It is the most awaited morning entertainment showcasing the town's mascot, Auto: The Protector of Autodale! 

Kids in every household crowd over their TV every morning to watch Mr. Auto.  
This is Auto, the only entertainment on the TV! He taught us young children everything we needed to know to grow up perfect like Dad and Mom! 

Dad is perfect, he reads newspapers in the morning and then he goes to work! Mom is perfect, she cooks for us and reads me bedtime stories every night! Bed times stories are the best!  the one with the monsters, oops- there are no monsters in Autodale. We are all safe here.

In the midst of them, there is a 12 year old boy who as he was listening to the broadcast suddenly saw through the reflection on the TV, a sister trespassing in their garden running away from something with blood on her clothes. How odd!

It seems that she was being followed by Autobots, Mr. Auto's colleagues who aids him in protecting the town! She must be an imperfect!!!

He glanced at the TV where Mr. Auto is now 

"Autobots were the ones who captures every imperfect in this town. If you see one, say hi, children," said Mr. Auto as the boy and the neighboring children waved at the Autobots chasing the sister. 

"They are our heroes. They take away imperfects who are not perfect. We don't want them here,"

Everyone's attention helped delay the Autobots a bit and she eventually lost them by hiding in their family's garden and then a few moments pass by but it seems that she aren't planning to escape yet. In his curiosity, he followed her to wherever she go. They go through the alleyways and gaps between houses carefully so that they won't go noticed until they reached the tower, a place where no one can go. No one Trespassers are allowed to be killed on sight. What is she doing here?

The sister fidled with the tower as if she was looking for something and it seems that she is because after a while of her fiddling, the wall suddenly revealed a hidden passageway. The passageway seems to be going underground. I followed her through the flight of stairs.

As they we're going down, the sister's footsteps started to sound really loud, almost like she was alerting something... like a monster. 

T- that... T- there's a being that has a scary and decaying body, like the monster in my mom's bedtime stories! 

Wait! He looks like it but not at the same time? The wretched monster has a height of a human being as it is as tall as the big sister, yet it looks like his body is decaying? Is he a zombie? and what's with that back filled with wires?

"Mr. Mayor," The perfect sister walks closer to the monster- ehem- mayor.

We have reached the bottom of the stairs, so that means, we're below the town??? Above us is the town and below the town is a monster and... a big girl? What is that?... What are they? 

There are no monsters in Autodale! Mr. Auto said so! But he might be in for a surprise as below the town lies a monster who turns out to be the Mayor!

The boy was trying really hard not to make a noise. He hid behind the big clumps of wire that seems to be connected to the super big girl.

That's why 
"It is what it is. You've made a very good decision, Mayor." what? as he heard those words... his hopes that the extraordinary girl could find another way in which he could not, shattered.

He was not hoping to atone for his sins but at least, let him stop these atrocities. He wishes he could end it all. He wished he could die. He couldn't handle the pain anymore as large drops of tears started to flow from his eyes... haha it must've been his imaginations as even the simple act of crying is something he couldn't do anymore. How could he cry from these hollowed eyes? From this rotting body?! ...he wishes he could at least cry to alleviate some of his pain... but his body has long been unable to. Perhaps it's punishment, curses from the ones he killed. Just as  for his deeds which could only accumulate through the passing years.

Unbeknown to him, there is one boy who thought differently. In an angle they couldn't see, the sneaky boy dash through the stairs. The boy got out underground and broke through the surface.  He instanstly saw the town above and felt suffocated. 
He got a new outlook on this town that inhabits a monster much crueler and sadder than real monsters.

"Mr. Auto said that there are no monsters in this town but there are, the mayor is one and the other one is... here." A look of excitement swept past the boy's face as he reached for the lid of the canal. Once he opens this, there is no going back to the false security the last human town called Autodale has given.

He walked for a few minutes, he felt for the air's direction. Where is the entrance, or more accurately,  where did that monster come from?

The boy have a friend a long time ago. It was a monster... But contrary to his mother's bedtime stories, he was special, he was super sweet and gentle. He never harmed him, in fact, he played with him when his brother's were making fun of him. He was his friend... 

'Those were good times but it didn't last, my father found him. My father tried to kill him! I tried to explain and plead to not hurt him but he just wouldn't listen. While my father was trying to distract the monster and take me away from the monster, my mother called for the Autobots, the same ones who are chasing after that sister.'

The reason I was curious about imperfects is because mother became a widow after losing dad, an imperfect... that's what she became. We were told

He was startled by this sound and stopped his wandering for a second. He closed his eyes and listened to the echoing sound. While he was 

The entire space surrounding him was enveloped by a bright light. After the light died down, he opened his eyes and saw an unfamiliar yet familiar place. 

"Where am I? Hello? Anybody there?" and yet no one except defeaning silence answered him. He is confused. 
'How could it be that '

"You are the future," he said while holding the monster's face.



The Gu family had put in a lot of effort into Shiyuan's birthday celebration.
As it was proposed by the relatives, they were also the ones who prepared it.
Handing the preparation to the relatives would only make it more lavish. Unlike how Gu Jingze liked to keep things on a low-profile, the other relatives felt that they shouldn't take things about Gu Jingze's daughter simply. They wanted the best in everything, to show that they viewed this Third Miss in high regards.
The reason she was referred to as Third Miss was because there were the Eldest Young Master Niannian, and the Second Miss Little Nian. She was ranked third amongst them, and thus referred to as Third Miss.
That night, the entire manor that the relatives spent money to reserve, was completed filled with decorations.
The place was brightly lit from inside out.
Amidst the entire world of white, there was even artificial snow.
The children from the various relatives' families were on the ground, playing.
Niannian brought Yunyun over. Yunyun hadn't been happy recently as Uncle Mo and her mom had fallen out. It had been very long since she had a meal together with Uncle Mo, and it had been very long since she had Uncle Mo tell her a bedtime story.
Niannian saw that she wasn't in a good mood and thus brought her over to cheer her up.
Li Wei was also with them, following behind them.
There were Little Nian from Gu Jingming's family and Little Pingguo from Lu Beichen's family.
The few children were about the same age and usually played with each other at the kindergarten as well. Naturally, all of them had come here with Niannian.
There were too few boys and too many girls. Gu Shinian was the one who took the lead, followed by Li Wei, who tried to help out.
When Yunyun sat there, Li Wei quickly ran around to get her a drink, as well as bring her fruits and snacks.
However, Yunyun still wasn't in a good mood. She kept on pouting as she looked in front of her.
It was until she saw Mo Jingyan here that she quickly jumped up.
"Uncle Mo." She skipped toward him, calling out.
Mo Jingyan walked over and carried her up. "Good Yunyun."
Yunyun cried as she looked at him. "Uncle Mo, you don't want me and my mama anymore?"
Black Eagle frowned. "How can that be possible?"
"Then why doesn't mama goes to uncle's place anymore? Why don't I go to uncle's place anymore either?"
Black Eagle stroke her fringe. "It's because your mama is angry with an uncle, but she'll be appeased very soon. You should try to coax your mama more as well, getting her to forgive uncle earlier. Uncle will be able to go back then."
Yunyun nodded, wiping away her tears. "When I get back, I'll tell mama to quickly forgive uncle. I want uncle to tell me bedtime stories."
Black Eagle kissed her dotingly on the forehead. "Good. Uncle will go visit you every day in the future, telling you bedtime stories."
"Alright, alright."
Gu Shinian watched at the side. "Is uncle going to use an indirect method?"
Black Eagle lowered his head and asked, "What do you know?"
Gu Shinian crossed his arms in front of his chest. "I told you that you should have told the truth earlier, but you didn't."
Black Eagle felt that being reprimanded by a child… was really speechless.
He narrowed his eyes and glared at Gu Shinian.
But if he said the truth then, Mu Feiran might not have bothered with him then.
With him saying the truth at this stage, at least, there'd be some feelings between them. Even if Mu Feiran refused him, she wouldn't be that determined.
Right now, he still had a little bit of hope.
"Uncle Mo, Mr. Chi is inviting you to head over."
Black Eagle nodded and wanted to head off socialize with others.
Black Eagle wanted to leave, but Yunyun pulled at his sleeves, unwilling to let him go.
Black Eagle sighed, lowered his head, and said, "Come along. I'll bring you along, alright?"
Hearing that, Yunyun smiled happily.
Black Eagle wasn't angry with Yunyun at all. He carried her up and walked over.
Yunyun, who was carried by Black Eagle, sat in his arms, behaving herself. Everyone was a little surprised as they looked at Black Eagle.
Why was there a child in his arms?
Gu Shinian shook his head, not knowing what to say. Li Wei asked, "Why did he bring Yunyun away with him?"
Gu Shinian looked at Li Wei. "If you wish to marry Yunyun in the future, you'll have to get into his good books."
"…"
Li Wei's face was flushed red. "Who wants to marry… We're still young. What rubbish are you spouting about."
Gu Shinian had his small hands behind his back, appearing like a little adult.
Although the adults had their own circles, the children had their own circles as well.
And this circle would more or less be related to the adults.
It was because the relatives would definitely remind their child who those people were, and who they might become in the future.
A few of them were direct descendants of the Gu family and were different from the other relatives.
The relatives reminded their own children. "Don't create any trouble with those children over there."
"Why?" The children were all puzzled.
"What are their identities? They are direct descendants and will be inheriting the position of the head of the Gu family in the future. They are closer between themselves and not with you. It's fine if you guys want to go over and play, but you must be careful. You can spend time with them, but don't kick up a fuss. No matter what, you must remember the importance of seniority. You have different statuses as well. If things blow up, even we won't be able to help you."
The children were all very lost, but after being threatened, they felt that they might really be different from those children. Therefore, they kept their distance from them.
In fact, Gu Shinian and Lin Che had never told the children about the differences in social statuses. Gu Shinian had never thought that he was any different from other children either, even though it was true that he didn't care for ordinary children, and felt that they were very childish.
However, they could still only play with each other.
It was because the attitude the other children had when they came over made them felt uncomfortable. Some of them acted very carefully while others harbored hostility due to the influence of their parents. Thus, many looked at them with strange gazes.
As time passed, these children formed their own groups as well.
After all, everyone wanted to play together with people they were comfortable with.
Little Pingguo and Little Nian got along well together. It was because they could be considered to have grown up together. Things were the same for Gu Shinian and Yunyun as well. Although Li Wei had only joined in recently, he had slowly gotten along with the group. They were very comfortable together and got along well, so they sat down together.
"Niannian, why hasn't your younger sister come out yet?" Little Pingguo asked.
"I don't know. Maybe Mama is dolling her up."
Lin Che usually loved to dress Gu Shiyuan up in pretty clothes, and would spend a lot of time each time.
"Dolling up?"
Niannian said, "You women are troublesome."
Little Pingguo said, "You're spouting rubbish. I'm a girl."
Niannian glared at her. "You'll also become a woman in the future. You'll be like your mama, a pain when you go out."
"You're spouting rubbish. My mama isn't that much of a pain."
Gu Shinian said, "What do you mean that Aunt isn't that much of a pain… She would need to take at least an hour to doll up every time she goes out."
"That's because my mama is beautiful, hmph."
"Sigh, I just can't chat with women."
"Hey, your sister is out."
Gu Shiyuan was brought out by her nanny, staggering as she walked out.
Although children would have learned to walk at two-year-old, they would always appear unstable when they did.
The servant held onto her from behind, but Shiyuan still sat right down on the ground.
The servant quickly wanted to pull the child up.

His dark sleep-deprived tired eyes were focused looking on a bunch of beautiful blooming little flowers.

The flowers are small, measuring 6mm. in width. Each radially symmetrical bloom has a fused corolla that opens into five rounded lobes. The flower is powder-blue with a conspicuous, bright yellow center. Flowers are arranged in tightly coiled, rounded clusters that unfurl as the flowers progressively bloom.

The leaves are oblong, measuring 2.5-5 cm. in length, and oblong. These deep green leaves are often stalkless, have blunt tips, a deeply recessed midvein, and are covered with fine hairs.

They were like wild weeds but beautiful to look at the longer you look at it. Slowly swaying with the soft blows of the wind that was planted on the corner lot. His thoughts were wandering elsewhere, as he whispered to no one in particular.

"Just like, I can stare at you for a long time and my eyes won't get tired. You are like that bunch of little blue wildflower they get prettier the longer I stare."

His lips curve a smile but never reaches his sad eyes, remembering the stories she used to share during their bedtime together about her exciting and adventurous childhood memories that resembles his own.

"I hope our three sons will have the same adventurous experience in this lifetime. That they will remember their happy childhood memories and someday would tell their own children in the future."

"Epoh has been sick lately but he stayed brave and continue life courageously."

"Ared was granted his full scholarship this year and still as fabulous as ever."

"Urie is as mischievous as ever and showing his intellectual mind."

"Just like you, our three sons are all like you in a wild beautiful way."

As tears fall from his eyes, a cold wind softly blows caressing his breaded face and messing his long black hair. The wind reaches his ear, brushes its outer skin, it felt like whispering...
