I was laying in a magma's lake that was created in the wake of the destruction of my battle with Bast. The searing hotness of the 'pool' felt like an intense warmth to me, seeping into my bones and making me feel like in a hot spring. I could feel my body adapting gradually to the heat and developing a resistance to it. 
The only thing left out of the magma was my head, on which laid a small cat. It was incredibly cute and had fluffy, salmon-pink fur. Yes, I wanted an iconic pet, so what?
"Mmmm"
Bast let out a satisfied growl while feeling the warm feeling engulfing her in a comforting embrace. How did we go from battling opponents to relaxing buddies so quickly? I may have used a certain Talk-no-Jutsu as well as a few cheeky quotes from my 'anime quotes folder'.

"…Now, my dear, you just have to sign here."
She was quite reluctant as she took the contract, and only read it briefly, knowing that she was doomed no matter what, before signing it.
Immediately, the effect took place. The first, and most noticeable one, is the link that was created between her and my dimension, granting her the benefits that Alula received before.
From her twitching body and her dilated pupils, she should have felt the 'high' that came with the new power. Man, I'm feeling like a drug dealer right now. 
I could feel and 'see' my dimension's energy 'invading' and transforming her body, effectively making her a bit stronger as well as cutting her reliance on Divinity. I don't want my pet to be weak, since I'm planning for her to at least be able to beat Thanos with three stones. Imagine a cat winning against the Mad Titan, that would be hilarious, and terrifying. 
I gave her immortality based on my dimensional energy so that she would be more dependant on my existence than her Divinity. Though she can still use it to strengthen herself and to connect with her believers, I needed her for that after all.
It took her around ten minutes to complete the change and to get a grasp of the new power in her body.
"Good, are you ready to talk now? I'm curious about you after all."
She nods her head and I proceed to conjure a table with two chairs for us to sit on.
"Ah, before that, I prepared a drink for the occasion."
I took out a tea set and a steaming teapot. The herbal fragrance quickly spread in the surrounding, leaving one's mind in a calm state. 
From Bast's contracting eyes, sniffing nose and salivating mouth, it was a good idea to add catnip to calm her down. Ah, the king of cat herbs. Catnip is beloved by felines the world over, and for good reason, it makes them very happy. It's sort of like an after-work cocktail for cats, relieving them of stress and nervousness.
I poured a cup for her, which she quickly downed, and from her shoulders that went from tense to relaxed, it was a success. A cat goddess is still a cat after all.
Then, just like a broken dam, she burst in tears while narrating her story. Like it was shown in the comics, she and her family were born in a dimension adjacent to Earth and were called Enneads, a race of naturally long-lived individuals. 
At some point, they 'descended' and began to be worshipped by ancient Egypt. This gave them access to a new and fascinating power, Divinity. From long-lived, they became nearly immortal while their power greatly increased. They began to truly see themselves as gods.
Unknowingly, this power became a drug they were addicted to, the more they had of it, the more they wanted. Unfortunately, their believers' population was limited, and so was their Divinity. Thus, some gods began to conspire against each other to gain more powers. Truly, it would have been a successful Netflix's show just by the story alone.
Bast was one of the more minor goddesses, and the amount of Divinity she had compared to the other major ones was negligible, so she was mostly left alone when the 'Game of Thrones' began. How intriguing, I never heard of an Egyptian version of Ragnarok.
By a stroke of luck, a few of her faithful believers spread her faith to a remote region, namely Wakanda. She then pounced on the opportunity to leave the in-fighting Parthenon to build something more stable and to survive.
The rest is history. The Egyptians gods gradually all died from a lack of Divinity, leaving only her alive. The worse, according to her, is that she was connected to all of them because of their shared origins, so she could feel every single one of them slowly die in pain. The most impactful one was the death of her mother, which left her a crying mess for a while at that time.
She then turned her whole attention to her believers, trying to forget her sorrow, resulting in the birth of the Black Panther legacy.
"You are feeling torn between being the only survivor of your family, yet also grateful to your believers for their faith. From I have gathered, you are suffering from survivor guilt."
I have been wearing glasses and taking notes the whole time, trying to feel like a psychologist. Now, I opened page number 769 of my 'Anime MC's quotes'.
"I'm going to be blunt so that you may understand me. They are dead, and nothing can undo that. But you, you ARE alive, which is a gift in itself. You can still enjoy life, and it's not like they are completely dead, aren't you representing their legacy? Don't you have your memories of them? Aren't they, in a sense, living through you as well?" (AN: I know death can be undone in Marvel, but that's beyond the point haha)
The lost look her eyes gave was shaken, and I knew it was my cue to pour her 17th cup.
"If you truly felt regret at seeing all of them die, then it's even more of a reason for you to live on. Wouldn't it be a waste for you not to live your life as the last standing Egyptian goddess? Also, don't your believers need you? So stop wallowing in sorrow and move on!"
That, and the last cup she just downed, was enough for a new light to shine in her eyes. 
She stood from her chair with a new, freshened mindset and a wide smile on her face. It seems that shounen MC's were truly talented in changing people. I actually liked doing this, so should I become a full-fledged psychologist? 
"You are right, I won't bear this burden anymore, master."
Oh, so she acknowledged me in only one session! Though it took four days in total. Thousands of years old beings sure a had a lot of stories to tell.
I then kindly smiled at her.
"Oh but my dear, even if you signed a contract with me, you don't need to call me master, just calling my name, Arthur, is fine."
"alright, Arthur."

"I have a request for you, you see…"

Chapter 21



Title: Journey Starts...

As Sabo learns Observation Haki, one year passes, currently Sabo and Ace are standing in the Noble's Graveyard. A place where the nobles are buried, it has a bright look with beautiful graves that seem to express their extravagance. The grass was lush, green, and evenly cut.


Sabo looks at the two graves in front of him. The names in the graves were Outlook III and Dibit. The blonde has his eyes shadowed by his hat. 


"I never liked my parents." Says Sabo as he looks at the graves. Ace on the other hand only listens to his friend talk and doesn't say anything. "They were both vain, greedy, and only obsessed with status. I was ashamed to be called their son and a noble. But still…"



Tears finally come out of Sabo's eyes as he looks at the graves. Ace only pats his friend on the back, with a worried look on his face, Luffy wasn't here because Ace knew that he would say something dumb and inappropriate… like he did when Ace told him that Roger is his father.


"I never met my father, nor mother." Says Ace, a calm look on his face as looks at the graves in front of him. The images of a family appear on his mind, but he shakes his head, dismissing them. "But I want you to know… that I consider you and Luffy as my family. So no matter what, I will always have your backs."


Sabo wipes his tears at this and looks at Ace. "You are right… me, you and Luffy are brothers. We are a family…"


Ace nods as he looks at the graves of Sabo's parents and a cold glint appears in his eyes. 'I simply had to take care of a few loose ends…'

After that whole ordeal, Ace gets a bottle of sake and officially, the three friends become brothers.

As soon as Luffy drank the sake, Ace looked pissed, and suddenly he kicked Luffy away. 


"As your big brother, I mustn't let you drink sake!" Yells Ace in annoyance. "How could you do this Luffy! Don't you know that alcohol is bad for you!"


"But you gave it to me!" Yells back Luffy as he gets up and looks at Ace annoyed.


"Huh?" Ace looks at Luffy questionably. "You question my authority as your big brother?"


"Sabo is the better big brother, he isn't violent like you!" Says Luffy out loudly while pointing at Ace.


"I am not violent!" Yells out Ace as he punches the ground and creates a crater.

Just like so, four years pass, Ace and Sabo train a lot during these times. Ace finally masters the three Rokushiki techniques that he knows at the moment, Soru, Geppo, Tekkai.

He even tries to teach them to Sabo, though he was only able to learn one.


Both Sabo and Ace were currently on the port of Portgas town, ready to set sail. Their ship is quite big for only two people, the ship was a big red ship that could fit in upwards to forty people, each of them having their own personal room.


Also, there was a big tiger, as big as an elephant, and it was laying on the deck, sleeping. 

Ace looks at the tiger and lets it. "Good, we also have emergency food with us… I mean Cat…"


The tiger wakes up as he hears this and looks at Ace, unsure of it should continue this journey with them. Ace did just say something scary after all.


"Hahahahahaha…" Laughs Sabo as he hears this. "C'mon now Ace, don't say something like that."


Ace smiles at this as he looks at the town, a nostalgic look on his face. He sees the people in the town and waving at him. Though he can't see Dadan, he still smiles and yells out at Luffy. "Oy! Luffy! Tell Dadan to take care and tell her that I am thankful for everything!"


"Yeah!" Yells Luffy in response. "You too take care Ace, three years from now. I will also become stronger!"


Ace laughs at this, though Luffy is stronger than he would be by the time canon comes around. He still doesn't know Haki or any of the Rokushiki that Ace knows. 


Suddenly then… Ace bows in front of everyone in Portgas Town and says. "EVERYONE!!! Thank you for taking care of me! I love you all!!"


"Oy Ace! Don't say such corny sh*t!" Says Jason as tears roll down like rivers. "Men aren't supposed to cry damn it."

He then wipes his tears with the sleeve of his shirt.


"Ace, we love you too!"

"Stay safe Ace!"


"We will wait for news of when you become Pirate King!"


"Oy! I am going to become Pirate King!" Yells out Luffy.


"Shut up pipsqueak! Ace is gonna be Pirate King!" Yells out some stranger from the crowd and he starts brawling with Luffy like kids.


Ace has a confused and amused look on his face, seeing people acting like this never gets old to him.


"Anyway, I am setting sail now. See ya, everyone, wait till you hear of me in the newspaper!" Ace yells out loudly and waves at them.

As Ace set sail, Dadan was in her house smoking a cigarette. 


"Dadan, Ace just set sail." Says one of the bandits as he enters the house, just having said goodbye to Ace.


"Ahhhh…" Sighs Dadan, with her back, turned. "That kid was so troublesome. Garp is gonna blame me for this…"


"Also Ace left a message for you." Says the bandit.


"What?!! The kid has been nothing but trouble! What does he want now?" Says Dadan in an angry voice, her back still turned towards the rest of the bandits.


"He said: Thank you for taking care of me." Quotes the bandit.


"Aha!" Immediately Dadan pulls out a napkin and starts crying. "Damn that fool! He can't say something like this now!"


"Huh?" The bandits are confused at first but they smile as they see Dadan cry, they all know that she will miss Ace the most.

-Ace POV-


I smile as I see the town disappear from view as I sail further and further away from it. Well now… let's see if Luffy can keep up with me. I will have a three-year head-start on him… and I will find One Piece.


A grin appears on my face. I look at Sabo and I see him using just one hand to easily pull down the sail. Though he is weaker than me, he is still quite strong.


Cat is sleeping during this as he lies down on board. I smile at this, I have built this ship by myself, I know every knock and cranny of this place. Though there are a lot of empty rooms as I plan to have a big crew, I also left a lot of space for improvements on the ship. I plan to use Adams Wood to replace the current wood also. 

I studied a lot about engineering, ship-writing, crafting, and even blacksmithing. I am a one-man crew if I want to be. But I am still at something on what one would consider a specialist on their trade.


"Ace, where are we gonna go next?" Asks Sabo, I look at him and see an excited look on his face. I smile at him back.


"Let's go to Sixis Island." I say as I go towards the quarter deck and steer the direction of the ship. I take out a map of East Blue and a compass. 


Now my journey begins...

Sigh. Zian had already reminded Vladimir earlier not to stare at two or three sheep while shearing them, but it had gone in one ear and out the other. Its habit of using famous quotes was really hard to change.
Zhang Zian resigned. He didn't rush over to say hello to Little Celery. Instead, he first corrected Vladimir. "You shouldn't just use quote famous quotes, as they lack flexibility. She's not even that old and is, at most, like the sun at six or seven o'clock in the morning…"
Vladimir listened to Zian's advice and nodded. "Six or seven o'clock is good too."
"Also, what's the meaning of the Meow Meow Doctrine?" Zian asked. He had heard Vladimir shout the name of its move earlier and somehow felt his chrysanthemum tighten…
Vladimir gave it some thought then explained, "That is a good question… In short, it fights for the freedom, equality, and fairness of stray cats. Its goal is also to free stray cats from being bullied and oppressed so that they can decide on their own destiny!"

Little Celery only remembered after being asked by Zhang Zian that there was a reason she had stopped by. She quickly said, "I don't have class today, but the hamster in our class is going to give birth soon. My classmates told me to ask you if you could come over to help. Do you have the time?"
Little Celery and her friends had been very serious about raising the hamster; they had formed a feeding plan where daily records were taken by the person on duty each day. Through their care, the hamsters grew well, and several female hamsters had gotten pregnant. Now, despite Zhang Zian's long-term guidance, they had no confidence in handling the childbirth process, so they had Little Celery ask Zhang Zian to come and guide them through the process.
Zhang Zian looked at his schedule, and that day he was as free as usual. If he stayed in the store, he would probably be dragged around by the fans and media then forced to answer their questions, so it was better to just head out for a walk.
What was more, the Zhonghua Road Primary School where Little Celery studied was very close to the shop; it was just minutes away.
"Sure! No problem," Zhang Zian said. "I'll take a trip down with you."

"Little Celery, have you eaten?" asked Zian as he touched his own empty belly.

"Then you can play in the shop for a while. We'll leave after I have breakfast."
"Okay!" Little Celery ran into the store cheerfully.
Vladimir, who had been sitting by the side watching and listening, suddenly said, "Can I come along too? I'm new here in Binhai City, so I need to familiarize myself with the nearby terrain and environment. After all, I've got no right to speak without any investigation."
"Sure." Zhang Zian agreed with what it said. He felt that there was nothing wrong with bringing it along.
Zian bought some steamed buns and soy milk, split them between the staff members, and finished his own portion. He then called Little Celery over and left the shop with her.
"Oh… Is this cat coming along with us?" Little Celery asked. She had taken a few steps forward before she turned around and noticed Vladimir tagging along.

"That's good then." Little Celery finally rested assured.
The current weather was mild and suitable for walking––possibly the best weather for walking in the whole year. Many couples and families were out and about, taking advantage of the good weather. Even Otakus that never left their house were not able to stop themselves from going out for a walk. If they didn't, they would have been wasting such good weather.
On the way down to the school, Little Celery told Zhang Zian about the small problems they had encountered while raising the hamsters, and the interesting things that happened in school. Vladimir followed behind them and observed the unfamiliar city.
Binhai City and the capital were two cities with very different styles. Even if the scale and population of both cities were not taken into consideration, the obvious differences could be seen from their rhythm of life. Due to the limited amount of pressure they placed on life, the residents in Binhai were accustomed a slow and leisurely pace of life.
Occasionally, there would be one or two stray cats on the side of the road or on the wall, and after seeing Vladimir, they didn't have any special reaction. Whether they were fighting or eating food from people's hands, they were no different than usual. They seemed to treat Vladimir as any other ordinary cat, which was very different from their behavior when they saw Fina.
Vladimir was walking leisurely. It would sometimes mumble something and sometimes nod, but Zhang Zian did not know what was going on in its head.
Zhang Zian casually spoke with Little Celery, and periodically he would look back at it. He thought that after leaving the pet shop, Vladimir would be very eager to look around for the Holy Cat statue, however the reality was much different from his own imagination.

Zhang Zian paused. Fortunately, it didn't say into the… puss.
They arrived at the entrance of Zhonghua Road Primary School, and Zhang Zian didn't bother with the Holy Cat statue for the time being. He followed Little Celery into the campus and towards the hamsters.

Yumi stared at Kazami's face as if she had tried to see through his expressions if he was lying, after a while she gave a slight sigh and started to look into Kazami's eyes and speak

"Well .. master, do you remember having adopted a cat back then?"

"Yes, how do you know that?"

"Well, would you believe if I said I'm Yumi?" (Yumi was the name of Kazami's cat, he stuck that name for the girl because he thought she was familiar with the cat)

Kazami was taken aback by Yumi's statement. After a little thought he realized that the chance to be true was too high simply because Yumi (girl) had a cat-like appearance. The cat he had had by the whites that could be equivalent to Yumi's hair, and the cat's eyes were golden as Yumi's. Kazami was very familiar with Yumi (girl). Knitting his eyebrows at the countless thoughts and theories in his head Kazami asks Yumi

"Could the cat be you ... but how? How did you become human?" (Human in quotes, since Yumi is a human mixed with cat)

Yumi thought for a moment before replying, and even if she tried to explain what had happened to her, she would not be able to

Weekly Chapters- 8


Kazami, a young man who had a hard life is dead while saving a girl, he finds himself in a totally dark room, while thinking about why he did not die a voice echoes in his head.

"Welcome, player"

Mr. Damocles is in Miss Bustier's classroom, telling the students about a design competition being hosted at the school. The objective of the competition is to design and create a derby hat, which will be judged by fashion designer Gabriel Agreste. The winner of the competition will have their design worn by Adrien at his next photo shoot.

Marinette flips through her design diary, searching for a derby hat, only to discover that she has never made one. Alya watches as Marinette paces the courtyard, slowly becoming tenser. She states that she has made silky ram hats, bell hats, berets, and sombreros, but never a derby hat. While worrying, Marinette develops a worst-case scenario of her tripping over the hat, knocking over Mr. Agreste, earning hate from Adrien, and losing her dream of becoming the world's best fashion designer. Marinette dramatically cries into Alya's lap before Alya cheers her up, asking to look through Marinette's sketchbook.

Setting the sketchbook down on the bench, Alya turns away from Marinette as Marinette brings her knees to her chest. Adrien, seeing the open book, glances at the pages and compliments Alya for her sketches. Alya corrects him, telling him that it was actually Marinette, who is hiding behind the bench. Adrien congratulates her on her designs, telling her that he thinks she has a good chance of winning the contest. This compliment gives Marinette the confidence she needs to make her design, and she runs off.

At the same time, Chloé and Sabrina overhear what Adrien says to Marinette. This distresses Chloé, so she resolves to have Sabrina steal designs from Marinette's sketchbook.

Hawk Moth, in his lair, wonders who is up to the task of stealing Ladybug's and Cat Noir's Miraculouses, claiming that they must be his.

Marinette sits outside at the Trocadéro with her sketchbook open on her lap. She sketches various versions of derby hats before ripping them out and crumpling them beside her. As she becomes more dejected, a man appears, moving his arms like wings and cooing to the pigeons. Xavier Ramier sits on a bench and calls the pigeons to him with a whistle. He then brings out a bag of bird food, tossing it to the pigeons.

Roger Raincomprix stalks over and yells at Xavier for feeding the pigeons, stating that, if he continues to feed them, they will crowd the park and leave their droppings everywhere. Confiscating the bird food, Roger kicks Xavier out of the park. Marinette feels sorry for him. Tikki gives her the idea to make the hat based on pigeon feathers. Inspired, Marinette hurriedly sketches the idea.

Meanwhile, Xavier sits on a bench overlooking the Seine, dejected. Hawk Moth senses Xavier's sorrow and sends an akuma to him, which enters his pigeon whistle. Hawk Moth tells Xavier that the police and park keepers should not be allowed to stop him from taking care of his pigeons and offers him the chance to take revenge on them. Xavier grins, turning into the villain Mr. Pigeon. He takes off, flapping his arms and cooing.

At the same time, Marinette finishes her sketch. When she holds up her book to admire it in the light, Sabrina takes a picture of the sketch with her phone, handing it to Chloé. Sabrina asks Chloé when she'll design the hat, but Chloé says that her father will pay someone to make it.

Marinette returns to her house, making the hat in her room. Tikki helps her, giving Marinette an apple to replenish her energy. At 1:21 pm, Marinette freaks out, realizing she forgot to grab a feather for the hat. She and Tikki run back to the Eiffel Tower, disturbing the pigeons until Marinette grabs a feather. Elated that she has one, she skips off, bumping into officer Roger before returning home. Roger, however, goes on his merry way after Marinette apologizes and departs. A dark cloud of birds hovers over him, taking him away.

While Marinette is on the bus, she asks the driver why they can't go faster. The driver says that they have a situation and tells the people to get off the bus. Marinette sees that pigeons are causing the traffic jam, along with other problems all over Paris.Nadja Chamack, on a nearby screen, reports on the pigeons and is then told that Mr. Pigeon will make an announcement: Paris belongs to the pigeons. Marinette runs to the subway, wasting no time before transforming into Ladybug.

Ladybug runs along Paris' rooftops until she sees hordes of pigeons flying in the sky, all in the shape of airplanes. Just then, Cat Noir appears, lounging on a rooftop. He sneezes, rolling down to Ladybug. This is due to his allergy to feathers. Cat Noir tells Ladybug that the park keepers in all of Paris are disappearing. Ladybug states that they must find Mr. Pigeon. Cat Noir asks where, and while Ladybug doesn't know where they can find him, she knows where he can find them.

They go to the Place des Vosges and have Cat Noir pose as a park keeper, keeping an eye out for Mr. Pigeon. He whistles the anthem of France and starts to dance. Ladybug tells him to act natural, or Mr. Pigeon will never appear. Cat Noir responds, saying that he is acting naturally, still dancing. A pigeon sees him and flies off to report to Mr. Pigeon. Mr. Pigeon praises the pigeon for telling him. A flock of pigeons takes Mr. Pigeon away.

Ladybug wonders where Mr. Pigeon is. Suddenly, Cat Noir sneezes, and a flock of pigeons takes him away. Ladybug follows the cloud to the ceiling of the hotel Le Grand Paris. Cat Noir sneezes again, now free, and sees that the pigeons are watching him. Suddenly, Mr. Pigeon appears, standing on a flock of pigeons. He blows his bird whistle, and the pigeons surround Ladybug and Cat Noir, trapping them in a massive bird cage.

Mr. Pigeon, under Hawk Moth's command, tells Ladybug and Cat Noir to give up their Miraculouses or the pigeons will attack them with poop. Cat Noir uses his Cataclysm, making the metal bars of the cage rusty. The cage falls apart and they are freed. As soon as they come close to Mr. Pigeon, he escapes by walking off the side of the hotel, shouting, "Merry Christmas." He sends the remaining pigeons to attack the two heroes.

Ladybug and Cat Noir run inside, slamming the door shut on the pigeons. They head downstairs, but Cat Noir's ring beeps; he has 4 minutes left before his transformation deactivates. The two head to the ground floor finding André Bourgeois. He tells them that if the pigeons keep invading Paris, all the tourists will leave and he will lose money. He asks them to stop the pigeons, which Ladybug and Cat Noir agree to do.

During this, Cat Noir is bouncing up and down in a hurry. He tells André that he has an urgent need. André picks up on this and allows Cat Noir to use the Royal Suite. He also has Camembert delivered to Cat Noir's room. Cat Noir turns back into Adrien, and an exhausted Plagg falls on the bed. Adrien gives Plagg the Camembert, which is unpasteurized and had matured for two years.

Ladybug, at a higher vantage point, glances out a window and sees that the pigeons are flying in the same direction. Cat Noir appears in an elevator and the two follow the pigeons. They reach the Grand Palais and find the park keepers caged inside. They climb up to the roof to enter the Palais from a window. However, Cat Noir sneezes, causing Mr. Pigeon to notice them and beginning the battle. He attacks with his pigeons, sending Ladybug and Cat Noir into the park keepers' cage's bars. Ladybug uses her Lucky Charm, and a coin appears. Using her lucky vision, Ladybug spots a support beam and a vending machine. Ladybug runs toward Mr. Pigeon, sliding underneath him while her yo-yo wraps around his ankle. She then jumps up to the support beam, swinging over it once, wrapping up her yo-yo's string. Ladybug runs ahead, putting the coin into the vending machine and buying a small bag of popcorn. She throws the bag in the air and Cat Noir uses his staff to break it. Most of the popcorn lands on Mr. Pigeon.

The pigeons surround Mr. Pigeon and eat the popcorn off of him. As he is distracted, Ladybug yanks on her yo-yo, pulling Mr. Pigeon into the air. The bird call slips from his neck, landing on the ground. Cat Noir goes to grab it, but he sneezes, throwing it away accidentally. Ladybug, Cat Noir, and Mr. Pigeon go after it. They grab it simultaneously, Mr. Pigeon's hand directly on top of it, then Cat Noir's, then Ladybug's. Ladybug grabs Cat Noir's hand and smashes it down on Mr. Pigeon's hand, breaking the bird call. The akuma flies out from it. Ladybug catches it, purifies it, and uses Miraculous Ladybug to return everything back to normal. Mr. Pigeon turns back into Mr. Ramier. Hawk Moth swears revenge on Ladybug and pigeons.

Marinette, at her house, finishes creating her derby hat. At the school, the design competition is about to begin. Nathalieintroduces herself to Mr. Damocles, and he wonders where Gabriel Agreste is. Nathalie shows that he is going to be judging via her tablet. Gabriel orders Adrien to take Nathalie around the school. Chloé and Sabrina notice him, turning their faces aside with posh expressions.

Gabriel begins to judge the Derby hats when Marinette arrives. Alya wonders where she has been, but Marinette doesn't answer. Marinette sets her hat on the podium, and Alya points out that it is identical to Chloé's. Mr. Agreste sees Marinette's hat and sees it is identical to Chloé's hat. Chloé fakes innocence and pretends Marinette stole her design. However, Marinette proves that her hat is original by showing her signature on the hat. Chloé runs away crying to tell her daddy that she wasn't the winner of the competition and Mr. Agreste declares Marinette the winner of the competition. Adrien congratulates her, moving to put on the hat. When it is near his nose, he freezes and sneezes. As Adrien walks away, Marinette jumps for joy, ending the episode.

Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir[5][6](French: Miraculous, les aventures de Ladybug et Chat Noir; also known as Miraculous Ladybug[2][7][8] or Miraculous[9][10]) is a CGIsuperhero animated series produced by French studios Zagtoon and Method Animation in collaboration with De Agostini Editore in Italy, Toei Animation in Japan, and SAMG Animation in South Korea.[2][11] The series features two Parisian teenagers, Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste, who transform into the superheroes Ladybug and Cat Noir, respectively, to protect the city from supervillains. They also have a crush on both their heroic and civilian forms.

The closer the Triwizard Tournament first task came, the more people had buzzed about the events leading up to the first task. And exactly what the first task was. Given how strong the Hogwarts rumormill tended to be, it had been a minor miracle how the news of the task did not get out rather soon.
The investigation on who tampered with the Goblet of Fire had not been going rather smoothly. From what Wade could figure out, chaos reigned at the Ministry of Magic. There was a scandal about how the Goblet could be tampered with and not one, but two underaged competitors. All sorts of finger pointing, blame, and conspiracy theories had been around.
Albus Dumbledore sighed when analyzing the magical object for about the eighth time, under the watchful guise of the Hogwarts staff. "We should have guards watching the Goblet at all times."
Snape, Moody, and McGonagall all shot Dumbledore one of those "I told you so" looks. If the Headmaster had been bothered by getting such a look, he did not really react to it.
"No used in crying over spilled pumpkin juice right now," Dumbledore said. "The first task, being dragons, is going to be a rough one."
"It just is fortunate there was a clerical error which caused a fourth dragon to be ordered," Snape said.
Dumbledore scratched his beard and sighed long and hard. "Yes, fortunate."
"Best I figure," Moody growled. "Is someone wanted Potter done in. Now could be the Black girl. It could be Karkaroff, putting on a show. It could be anyone. Anyone's a suspect."
"Even you?" Deadpool asked.
"I wouldn't rule it out!" Moody barked. "Even the most constant vigilance could have caused someone to get the drop on me, to enhance and bewitch me, and to allow me to put Harry Potter's name in the Goblet of Fire. While I do not recall such a thing happening….I would not rule it out."
Here Moody's eye twitched several times across the room.
The fact of the matter is, no one really knew about it. Deadpool writhed his hands.
'So, no one left any fingerprints. Then again, with magic you could poof them away. But, with magic, you could also reverse the poofing. Oh, I'm sure CSI: Diagon Alley would be the most confusing show ever.'
Dumbledore flipped over a chalkboard, with several theories written upon it.
"We shouldn't disprove all avenues," Dumbledore said. "Including the conspiracy theory that I am somehow setting up Harry Potter for a fall, so I can steal his gold. While I don't recall such a plan being enacted, old age can make a fool out of many of us."
Everyone in the room declined to comment. They knew better.
"The biggest problem is Rita Skeeter buzzing around," Dumbledore said. "She will twist everything. And she has a knack of figuring things out, even though she should not know the information."
"It appears that Rita Skeeter may be using some method which breaks the law," McGonagall said.
"Big surprise," Moody grunted. "Witch is nothing but trouble."
The investigation of the Triwizard Tournament continued. And speaking of Rita Skeeter, Deadpool remembered the meeting he arranged for the intrepid reporter.
Rita Skeeter waited at a neutral location for the Hogwarts Deputy Caretaker of Magical Sanitation. Of course, her interest had been further piqued by the fact that the goblins had been lurking around.
And a nervous looking Ludo Bagman had been lurking around.
"Mr. Bagman!" Rita called.
Bagman jumped about ten feet in the air. He clutched his chest and recovered quickly.
"Rita, my dear. It's lovely to see you. Is that a new haircut?"
"You've lost weight, Ludo," Rita said.
"I have?" Ludo asked. "Oh, of course I have….you see, I've been running back and forth at the Ministry. This entire Triwizard Tournament mess, with the fourth champion, and Crouch is a bit more short tempered them usual."
"Mmm, looks like Barty might be thrown out through the Floo after this tournament is over," Rita said as she sucked on the tip of her quill. She always had a bit of an oral fixation. Got her in trouble sometimes. "Heard that if we don't get a Hogwarts win, then he's done. Fudge is going to personally insist he retires."
Ludo just shrugged.
"You can't believe every bit of rumor and innuendo you hear, Rita," Bagman said. "Especially considering you concoct a fair bit of it on your own."
Rita just flashed Ludo a smile which showed she was guilty as charged.
"Well, do you have any idea how….."
The goblins staring at Ludo like they wanted to throw him into the Black Lake was a juicy story.
"I've made some investments," Ludo commented. "I need to seal...the deal."
Ludo swallowed and turned around to face the goblins. Rita just hummed and rocked back and forth on her chair. Ludo was such a terrible liar and he was not sealing anything. Other than maybe a coffin. Those weren't Gringotts goblins, no Rita saw them as a rougher variety. Those who were involved in...mmm waste management.
What did Ludo get himself into anyway?"
"I'm here."
Rita's gold tooth glinted with a ding as she saw Mr. Wilson, dressed in a pinstripe suit, and a top hat, with his usual mask on his face.
"Ah, Mr. Wilson, how lovely," Rita said. "So, tell me, how did a man of your...capabilities, come to work at Hogwarts?"
"Well, an associate of mine informed me there was a job open," Wade said. "Old Captain Dread Pirate Filch wanted someone to help pick up the slack...and I needed some place to go while I...well just for a change of scenery. I believe the guy who came up with this entire mess, did it while taking a midnight trip to the Bathroom. Or so the story goes."
"Which guy is it?" Rita asked.
"Oh, you know, the guy transcribing everything that we're doing," Deadpool said. "He pops in and out from time to time. He tells us what you do."
Rita had been intrigued even more so.
"So do you hear voices inside of your head?" Rita asked. "Because, that's not a good sign, not even in the Wizarding World."
"Hey, nice job quoting the canon," Wade offered.
Rita raised her eyebrow. To say she had been confused by this gentleman would be the understatement to end all understatements. Regardless, Rita pressed on.
"Why did Dumbledore hire you? You don't have any magic."
"And Filch is a squid."
That caused Rita's eyebrow to shoot up. She had been confused, but realized what Wade meant.
"Do you mean a squib?" Rita asked.
"Yeah, one of those things," Wade said.
"Do you find it odd that he's hired two people who cannot perform magic to clean up a magical castle? Wouldn't it be more practical or economic to just have the house elves do all of the work? Hogwarts does have thousands of house elves, you know."
"Are you advocating putting humans out of work, Ms. Skeeter?" Wade asked.
"Well, I'm just saying that if Dumbledore wanted to save money, he would not have hired two non-magical humans, when a house elf can do the work in a fifth of the time," Rita said. "Just smart business sense, really."
"Hey, that kind of logical has no place with Dumbledore has the Headmaster," Wade said with a smile. "And I'm more than some deputy caretaker of magical sanitation. I am the Hogwarts Grief Counselor as well, you know."
"Hogwarts Grief Counselor?" Rita asked.
"Yes, I help magical type people, with their magical type problems," Wade confirmed. "It's not easy, sometimes, but hey, it can be very rewarding to make a difference in people's lives. But, never mind that, because I know Dumbledore's deepest, darkest, secrets."
Rita's Quick Quotes quill sprung erect at this news. Wade looked to the right and looked to the left before he peered across the table.
"I'm….I'm….I could end up in the Lake for telling you this," Wade whispered. "Because, Dumbledore, he swore me to secrecy."
"Be brave, Mr. Wilson," Rita said. "It's for the children you serve. If Dumbledore is doing something fiendish, it is for the good of the public that they need to know."
Wade took a long swig of a drink which had just appeared on the table as if on magic.
"Dumbledore says he has a secret collection of rare Chocolate Frog cards," Wade said. "But, it's a front for his more insidious secret. The fact of the matter is...he...he…."
"Yes!" Rita shouted. "Tell me."
"He has a secret collection of My Precious Unicorn Dolls which he plays with."
Rita's Quick Quotes Quill suddenly went flaccid. Dumbledore being a secret Bronicorn was not the type of juicy scoop she was hoping for.
"That's it?" Rita asked.
"Well, his deepest darkest desire is…."
Rita's Quill sprung erect once again.
"A nice warm pair of socks."
For the second time tonight, Rita's quick Quotes Quill went completely and utterly flaccid.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the first task of the Triwizard Tournament!" Ludo Bagman's booming voice echoed. "Our four champions will compete in this daring event to get past the dragons in this Triwizard Tournament."
A group of Hogwarts teachers watched from a box. Dragon Handlers were at the ready, waiting to see if anything had gone out of hand.
"So, we do have wands at the ready in case Potter goes up in flames," Snape said.
"You seem pretty excited about Harry Potter being potentially set on fire, don't you, Snape?" Moody asked.
Snape sighed. Moody would interpret a sneeze as attempted chemical warfare. The years of fighting dark wizards had caused Moody's mind to go on vacation and the old Auror was along for the ride.
"But, surely things wouldn't go bad?" Vector asked. "The Headmaster said things would be safer."
"The Headmaster says a lot of things," Snape said.
Regardless, they turned their eyes to the first competitor out on the docket. Rebecca Black turned up. Snape frowned. Something about the girl's mind seemed off. And her demeanor seemed familiar. That was one point which he would concede with Moody.
"And now our mysterious newcomer, Rebecca Black. No one knows what she's coming from, but can this plucky first year make a name for herself in the Triwizard Tournament?" Ludo asked. "Odds makers state that Rebecca is the underdog in this tournament."
"You would know about that, wouldn't you, Bagman?" Moody asked with his eye on the situation and on the girl.
"And she's about to do something," Wade said.
Sure enough Rebecca waved her wand. A silver zig-zag shot out of her wand and caused the dragon to follow it, like a cat going after a laser pointer. It took several minutes before the Dragon took chase after the silver light. Just enough enough for Rebecca to swoop in and grab the golden egg.
The dragon swooped down, and the crowd cheered.
"Unbelievable...Unbelievable!" Ludo yelled. "Ms. Black has gotten the egg in what has to be record time. Talk about pouring the heat."
"No mere first year could do anything like that," Moody protested.
"To be fair, it's a simple enough charm,' Flitwick said. "But, you have to have natural talent to pull it off."
Moody did not buy anything. Fleur Delacour entered the tournament next, to much fanfare. She spread her arms and put the dragon into a trance, which almost worked.
Right before the dragon shot fire at Fleur and caused her to shriek in surprise. Loud whistles and cheers, as many horny spectators cheered on the dragon in its attempts to burn Fleur's clothes from her body.
"SHOW YOUR TITS! SHOW YOUR TITS!"
"What did they say?" Moody growled.
"I believe they told Ms. Delacour to show her tits," Snape dryly responded.
Deadpool tuts at their behavior. "Come now people. This is a school, not a bingo hall."
Fleur managed to put the fire out, with the few strands of clothes left just barely covering the bare facts. She put the dragon to sleep the rest of the way after recovering.
"Ms. Delacour can use that egg to cover up her...diminishing clothes," Bagman said.
Everyone booed when Fleur had been covered up by a blanket and escorted into the tent. Some people started to throw rotten tomatoes down.
Wade looked very pleased with himself.
'I knew opening that tomato stand last weekend would come in handy.'
"Viktor Krum."
Snidely did not even bother to hide his blatant favoritism. "Go for it, Krum. Show them we are the master race!"
To Krum's credit, he did not even acknowledge Karkaroff's potentially problematic cheer. He moved in front of the Dragon. Everyone wondered what Krum had up his sleeve. While he was a wizard on the field of Quidditch.
"And Krum is just sizing this one up...and right to the eyes…."
The Dragon howled in agony and started trampling her own eggs.
'Man hopefully those aren't real Dragon eggs. Or the Pro-Life people are going to complain about this on the Internet for this scene being Pro-Choice.'
The howling of the dragon continued as she trampled her eggs. Krum be nimble, Krum be quick, Krum jump over the eggs, and get them very quick. Although he got the Golden Egg.
"While the damage caused is going to cost him, there's no question about it, Viktor Krum has got his egg."
Everyone gave Krum middling scores, except for Snidely, who gave him a ten.
"Karkaroff is always about as subtle as the Hogwarts Express," Snape dryly commented.
"And ladies and gentlemen, the one you've all been waiting for, Harry Potter, the Boy-Who-Lived."
Everyone prepared for a catastrophe as Harry stepped into the field to face the feared Hungarian Horntail.
Harry mimed doing magic. A movement which fooled everyone, even Mad-Eye Moody. No one, saw the red-blue blur which shot into the stadium, scooped the Golden Egg right in front of the Dragon, and put it in Harry Potter's hands.
Deadpool just smirked beneath his mask knowingly.
'Harry Potter summons Supergirl. Supergirl uses super speed. It's pretty effective.'
'Way to spell it out, Dingleberry.'
"And shattering the record created by Ms. Rebecca Black, it's Harry Potter! Harry Potter has gotten the Golden Egg and no doubt shortened the odds on him."
Everyone gave Harry a perfect ten for his performance. Well, other than Snidely, who gave him a very grudging seven, and that looked like it even pained him.
Deep inside of the guise of Rebecca, Lord Voldemort raged. How dare Harry Potter steal his, her, spotlight? Everyone had forgotten about Rebecca's bit of magic and they had all been buzzing about Harry Potter.
Killing Harry Potter had not been personal until now, just business. But, now it was very personal.
