Luckily, Xixi had activated her ability just in time, and blocked the attack. 

However, Long Yu had no time to rejoice. He could see that the barrier was getting weaker with each hit from the zombie.

He quickly got to his feet and rushed at the occupied zombie.

Xixi could also feel that her barrier would not hold any longer. She could only slowly inch backwards to the driver's seat.

*Peng*

The sound of glass shattering could be heard, when the barrier was finally broken by the zombie.

Seeing the sharp claws heading towards her face, Xixi could only close her eyes in fear.

One second…two seconds. The attack never came. She gingerly opened her eyes and was shocked to see that the zombie, was now held in a chokehold by Long Yu. 

Long Yu was trying his best to hold the zombie back. Both his feet were now stamping at the side of the car, stopping the zombie from going forwards. He looked as if he was koala hugging the zombie, except in a violent manner.

Long Yu increased the pressure of his right arm as he slowly freed his left. With a flick, a knife appeared in his left hand. He held the knife in a reverse grip and raised it.

The zombie felt the incoming danger and trashed about wildly, trying to throw him off. 

When it saw no results, the zombie pulled back its hands, which were outstretched towards Xixi. 

'F*ck, I won't be able to dodge it!' Long Yu cursed when he noticed its actions.

The zombie swung its left arm back, its sharp claws stabbing towards Long Yu who was behind it.

Long Yu could only grit his teeth, as he brought down the knife on the zombie's skull.

*Putchi*

The sound of a sharp object stabbing into something could be heard. 

Long Yu coughed, as he twisted the knife that was embedded in the zombie's skull.

After making sure that there were no more movements from it, he slowly released the zombie that was in his hold.

As soon as it lost its support, the zombie's corpse fell onto the ground. Long Yu dropped onto his knees as well, breathing heavily.

"Big brother, big brother! Are you alright?" Xixi who was full of tears, had gotten off the car, and ran towards him as fast as her little feet could bring her.

Long Yu showed her a smile as got up to his feet. He twisted his body a little to the right before receiving her hug.

"Mm.. Big brother is fine," he said softly as he patted her head. 

Tears were still streaming down Xixi's face, when she accidentally touched a warm wet patch on his clothes. She was shocked when she saw that her hand was stained with blood.

"Wuuu.. big brother, you are hurt after all. We need to hurry and go see a doctor!" she said worriedly.

Long Yu's expression stiffened, but he still appeased her with a gentle tone. "It's alright. That… was probably the zombie's blood. No need to worry."

Removing himself from Xixi's embrace, he carried her and put her on the front passenger seat. 

"Listen, big brother still has some things to settle outside. You should wait in the car. You'll be safe inside." he closed the door as soon as he finished speaking.

"Engage doors lockdown mode for 1 hour," he said to the car.

*Clack*

All the doors locked at his command. Now, neither the person inside nor outside, would be able to enter or exit the vehicle through the doors.

"Big brother! Big brother!"

Long Yu could hear Xixi banging on the car window from the inside, while calling him.

He leaned his back against the car as he slowly slid down into a seating position.

Zombie was looking into the silent cave with a worried expression.
He was standing there for over fifteen minutes, but there was no sign of seven wolves and a baby griffin, and it was already getting dark, a dead giveaway that they should be returning to Cranberry and Mary.
"Graough...? (Don't tell me something went wrong...?)"
Zombie groaned worried started stomping his foot nervously.
He was getting worried that he overestimated the tamed monsters.
Even if they all rapidly got stronger in those few short hours he watched over them it didn't mean they could clear out a monster den by themselves...
"Graough...?! (Seriously, what was I thinking...?!) Graough! (And I even let Blueberry go with them!) Graough?! (What if I there was a white wolf after all?!)"
Zombie started walking back and forth growling to himself.
Suddenly he stopped and his expression changed to a serious one.
"Graough. (That's it. I'm going to look for them.)"
He decided and started walking towards the cave.

But just as he approached the entrance, something was coming out so he stopped.
A large black wolf was slowly casually walking out, holding a weak-looking whimpering wolf in its unusual short jaws, but the part that was standing out the most about it was its massive front claws that looked like long daggers.
Completely different from normal frenzy wolves.
Right by it, there was another wolf, this one's fur had an orange glint to it.
It had a massive body and jaws, it was also holding a brown wolf in them.
Zombie squinted his eyes and tilted his head.
And the next monster that showed up was...
A baby griffin happily carrying a large gray wolf in her beak.
After them, there were five more large black wolves, but none of those was carrying anything.
As for their looks, they each had their slight differences but nothing as defining as the first two wolves.
"Graough... (Geez, you guys, I was so worried...)"
Zombie sighed and shook his head.
"Skwee... (We're sorry, dad...)"
Blueberry dropped the gray wolf and screeched apologetically.
"Raor. (Oi, Blueberry, your wolf is almost dead.) Raor? (How do you reckon it will run off and warn the new wolf king?)"
The muscular blue wolf gently released the trembling brown wolf from his jaws and barked at the baby griffin.
"Skree! (Sh-shut up, Arion!) Skree! (I'm stronger and have a harder time controlling myself, unlike you!)"
Blueberry screeched defensively and turned her beak away from the orangish wolf.
"Raa. (Sister Blueberry, brother Arion, don't fight in front of big brother.) Raa. (It's embarrassing.)"
The short-jawed black wolf also released the brown wolf it was carrying and scoffed at the other two.
Then it put its massive claws on the trembling brown wolf and lowered its head to Zombie.
"Raa. (Big brother, we're sorry to be a bother, we're back.)"
It barked politely.
Hearing them be so lively made Zombie breathe out in relief.
"Graough? (Did anyone got hurt?)"
The blue boy asked looking towards the back, at the black wolf with a greenish underbelly.
"Rarar! (No one, big brother!)"
The wolf responded.
"Ruff! (Clean victory!)"
Added another one by its side.
"Graough! (Good job, everyone!)"
Zombie groped happily and started batting every tamed monster.
"Skree! (Dad! Dad!)"
Blueberry jumped from the excitement.
"Skree! (There was a sleeping white wolf inside!) Skree! (But the sister with the long claws and I killed it in one shot!) Skree! (Cut off its head like, shing!)"
Blueberry was so excited that she actually swung with her talons and cut the gray wolf at her feet in half.
"Skree...! (Ah...!)"
She gasped.
"Raor... (Clumsy birdbrain...)"
Arion groaned and shook his head.
"Skree...! (Dad! I'm sorry...! I didn't mean to...!)"
Blueberry started hoofing with her front legs and lowered her head apologetically.
"Raa. (Don't worry, sister Blueberry, it was already dying anyway.)"
The wolf with long claws assured her and brushed her nose against Blueberry's feathers.

Zombie added went back to the baby griffin after paying every wolf, and started scratching her affectionately around the beak.

Blueberry rubbed her head against Zombie's chest.

Zombie smiled brushing her feathers.

He assured her.
"Graough! (But you all must remember to not underestimate your opponents!) Graough! (Arion and Blueberry have a lot of health and good defense stats, but the rest of you can die with one bite from a white wolf!) Graough! (You have to be careful!)"
All the new wolves lowered their heads and their tails dropped.

Zombie growled and the wolves perked up, some even started wagging their tails.

Zombie added and started patting the wolf with the long claws.

"Raa! (But I want to be strong like you, big brother!)"

Her tail was wagging super fast and kept hitting Arion, who scoffed at her and moved away.

Zombie explained calmly.

Zombie looked away with a cloudy expression.

Worried Blueberry screeched and clawed at the ground with her talons.

Suddenly Arion barked, staring hungrily at the bisected corpse of the gray wolf.
The somber atmosphere disappeared and everyone else just let out a sigh.

The wolf with the long claws shook her head.

Arion growled defensively.

Blueberry rolled her eyes and kicked the two pieces of the corpse towards Arion.
The muscular wolf released the brown wolf and jumped at the corpse as if he was starved for days, while the brown wolf escaped as soon as it noticed its chance.
"Raa... (No self-control...)"
The one with the long claws shook her head again and also released her brown wolf that started escaping in such panic that it was tripping and falling over everything it could.
"Raa? (Anyway, big brother, why don't you give us all names?)"
The one with the long claws asked carefully.
"Graough. (No, that's something your master should do.)
Zombie declined without missing a beat.
"Raa... (But Blueberry wasn't named by her master...)"
The wolf with the long claws complained and other wolves agreed.

Chapter 57: Zombie Siege (2)

After the disappearance of the Level 5 mid rank zombie, the thousands of low level zombies around them immediately began moving heedlessly as they don't feel the presence of the Level 5 zombie who led them here to attack this large group of humans. Even though they already don't feel the presence of their leader, the zombie still pounce fearlessly towards the humans who was busy screaming, fighting and scaping. 

The surrounding became even more chaotic as different abilities flies everywhere as they hit both zombies and humans. The blood of the injured people excite the zombie more as they roar excitedly and pounce towards the humans close to them. 

Some of the zombie are already missing some of their body parts, but since they don't know any fear and pain and add to the fact that they cannot be killed easily, they already start to have the advantage already as more humans got scratch and became infected and turn into zombies as they began to attack the people who once their companion.

Wei Zhi Yin Gaze coldly at the surrounding as their is no pity that can be seen in his face and eyes when he see the dying and struggling people around him. Wei Zhi Yin wrapped his right arm on the slender waist of the young lady beside him as he dodge the attacks of the zombies and the flying abilities around them.

"Retreat Immediately." - Wei Zhi Yin coldly ordered to the two shadow guards behind him as he immediately flew to the direction where he came from. His movement was fast and the zombie around them cannot even give a chase as in just three seconds, Wei Zhi Yin had already run for hundred meters as he did not even stop for a second.

After arriving at the side of their cars, Wei Zhi Yin gently let go of his sister as a pale Claire immediately approach them. The light sphere in the sky illuminates 500 meters around them and it's already began to shrank and dim, as the strength of claire were rapidly consumed by the ball of light above them.

"Let's Go. We will leave now." Wei Zhi Yin coldly ordered as he began to walk towards the car. 

"Big Brother wait." Xie Yue immediately chaised him that made Wei Zhi Yin immediately stopped as he turn around as he ask,  "Whats wrong? Are you uncomfortable anywhere?" When he wrapped his arm around his sister earlier, he already checked her from head to toe and she doesn't have any physical injuries and her breathing is also not laboured, Indicating that she's safe and did not suffered anything.

"Im fine brother. But the people here, are you just going to leave them alone? I know that brother have the ability to rescue them, so why leave them here? Brother, You have the responsibility to save them." Xie Yue's voice is soft and gentle and when it's come towards the end of her speech, her voice weaken a lot as the last sentence that she uttered became a whisper but Wei Zhi Yin still clearly heared it, despite the noise around them.

Wei Zhi Yin remain silent as he stared at his sister. Xie Yue cannot help but gulp nervously as she start to wring her clothes with her hands as she lowered her head when she saw that her brother was staring at her without a expression. She doesn't know what her big brother is thinking, but there's one thing that she knows better than anyone else. 

Although her big brother Zhi Yin dotes on her, she still doesn't have any qualifications to question him, as he was the crown prince and the next emperor of the country. Although her brother look calm and aloof, but as her sister, she knows that her brother is cruel and merciless deep inside. But still, She is not that cruel enough to leave this place and see this people die here when she knows that someone can save them.

After two minutes, Wei Zhi Yin sigh as he said to Clair who was pale yet silently standing one meter away from them, waiting to see if her master has a new order after the princess talk to him.

"Claire, Get the trucks in your space out and make the people board them. In fifteenth minutes, we will leave. I don't care no matter how many people will left, but we will leave once fifteen minutes pass. Once you finish taking them out, You can rest inside the car and try to maintain the light in the surrounding as long as you can."

Claire immediately acknowledge it, as Si Rou who just got arrived at their side immediately supported the pale Claire, While De Xe, Gu Heng and Ying Wei together with the other subordinates of Wei Zhi Yin arrived at their Master's side.

Wei Zhi Yin did not waste any more time as he immediately ordered, "Some of you assist the others to the trucks and don't let them panic too much. While some of you, kill the zombies and don't let them approach this side. Remember, I will only giving you fifteen minutes before we leave and it's starts now."

The others immediately move, while Wei Zhi Yin look down at his sister at his side who was already holding his right arm and smiled at him as she whispered enough for him to hear, "Thank you, Imperial brother."

"Since you addressed me already as imperial brother, then you should listen to Benwang's arrangement. Now, Go inside the hummer and let Claire rest beside you after she finished her job."

"I understand, Be careful big brother." Xie Yue said softy.  Wei Zhi Yin grunted coldly as he turn around and looks towards the people who already start to move towards the trucks.

He stepped forwards as his eyes start to scan towards the people to search for a certain figure. Three seconds later, his eyes flash a cold light when he saw the figure that he's been looking for. 

Nangong Yuan Zhi are still sorrounded by Zombies, and all this time, he targeted the zombies who have a higher levels since he notice that there's no ability users among the escaping humans who can kill this higher level zombies.

No matter how many Nangong Yuan Zhi kills, there's still zombies who continued to attack him as they don't feel any fear towards him who already killed hundreds of their kinds.

His eyes widened in shock following the recollection. "So that's what you're trying to do, Big Brother An! Can you still not forget her after all this time? But then again, her figure really was fantastic, hehehe…"
Da Bai was clearly getting quite excited, and a mysterious smile appeared on his face.
Meanwhile, Tina was quite confused.
What was An Lin trying to do? She had a nagging feeling he was up to no good.
"What are you two talking about?" Tina asked.
An Lin coughed lightly. "Er, Da Bai, go take Tina to explore elsewhere. I'll make a quick trip to Changbai Mountain, and I'll be back in a jiffy."
"You want to leave me behind, Big Brother An? I refuse! I want to go as well! Woof!" Da Bai immediately objected. He wanted to see the smoking hot Zombie Goddess too.
An Lin stared directly at Da Bai. "Why do you want to go? Hmm?"
Da Bai suddenly detected a fearsome killing intent, and his body trembled as he forced a smile onto his face. "Little Na, where do you want to go? I'll accompany you, woof!"
Tina pouted at An Lin, clearly a little unhappy that An Lin was ditching her to do something else, but she still replied to Da Bai's question, "Let's go to the South Pole. I want to see the Aurora Australis."
"No problem! We'll wait for you, Big Brother An!" Da Bai flew with Tina in tow as they headed toward the south.
An Lin heaved a light sigh as he flew atop his brick toward Changbai Mountain.
Back in the day, he had refused the mission in order to preserve his first kiss and missed out on the Yin God cultivation method. Not only that, but he was reduced to a block of ice for three whole days.
Even now, those tragic experiences were clear in his mind.

On a certain hill within Changbai Mountain.
A man wielding a peach wood sword was slaying the low-level zombies that were popping up from the ground.
This man was pretty powerful at around tenth-stage Dao Body, and the zombies stood no chance.
However, he soon attracted more powerful enemies.
A Zombie King began to appear as the dense power of death erupted from its body.
An Lin felt like this was an opportunity, and he used his Mist Immortal Technique to surreptitiously approach the battle.
