I heard a voice from my dreams. It was a girl-- longing for comfort and warmth.
I woke up with broken brushes, messy canvas, and empty bottles of pills. As my eyes land upon the other side of the cold window-- I saw something different from what I've seen before.
I saw something catastrophic.
Something depressive.
Something darker.

Author's first notes:

I've started writing stories since I was a kid, the same time I learned how to draw. Back then, I thought of writing as just one of my hobbies because I really more into drawing stuff than writing stories. I even made a comic once but never made sense due to lacking plotlines and other stuff [laughs at cringe]. Then when in high school, that's where I kinda(?) take it seriously-- but it still sucks and cringey by the way. Most of the time before, I always write horror stories, especially ZOMBIES-- I have this UNDYING love of the Zombie genre. Night of the Living Dead (1990 remake), Dawn of the Dead (2004 remake), and of course, one of the best zombie stories I've ever dive into was The Walking Dead (comic). To me, Night of the Living Dead restores the classic movie and innovates it at the time, and I love it. The Walking Dead set the bar high for the zombie genre, and Dawn of The Dead introduces me to the running zombies (thanks to Zack Snyder), which scared me more than the walking ones. Those films, books, and comics were my inspirations to write this novel (which will have some references *wink wink*).
2 years ago, also in high school, I'm planning to make a graphic novel with the same title as this. Well since I suck at writing stories, the story of the scrapped Dead on Arrival story was like a replica of Telltale's The Walking Dead [laughs at cringe again]-- but months later I threw it all away because I don't want it to feel like a replica of something, so I've waited for myself to improve a bit in writing. This story I'm giving you guys right now might not be unique or might not give something new, I wrote this story because I want to tell people that these characters inside of the novel are based on the people I really cherish.
2020 was said to be the WORST YEAR as I'm hearing a lot in posts on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. But to me, honestly speaking, it was one of the best years. Everything was unexpected, people come popping out of nowhere, people dying everywhere, any shit you can even think of-- but for some reason, in that year, I have met the best people that came into my life. Those people became my friends, then developed as best friends, now I think of them like my brothers and sisters. It was late-October and early-November of 2020 when I started thinking about reviving this title and completely writing a new story with new lore. Writing this novel for me was like writing 200+ pages of love letters just for 12 people [chuckles].

The dead comes back to life, and they run-- a more reason to fear on. Lin, Mae, Jon, and Zack, using their immunity, fights their way amongst the hordes of living corpses to preserve their own future.

As the title says I'm a novice writer at best. That said the best way to get started is (in my opinion) to just start writing.
With that in mind I'll be focusing on just writing. That means that this will probably suck as my focus isn't on good writing but rather just getting the words out.
As I improve and get better at writing I'll probably go back and rewrite some of the beginning chapters so that they suck much less.
My plan is to write the story to completion first and then do a major rewrite and edit of the story which in essence means that this is an (in-progress) unpolished first draft so I sincerely hope that you can appreciate the story on those merits.
If as I'm writing this story I gather a following of dedicated readers I will set up a Discord server to better facilitate interactions between myself and any fans that would like to interact more with me the author.
My upload rate will most likely suck as my focus isn't on reader retention but rather on the writing. When I get roughly 2,000 words written I'll publish a chapter. This will happen whenever it happens. NOT sooner or later than however long that takes me.
I will however welcome any CONSTRUCTIVE criticism and advice. Trolls will be ignored as they aren't worth the air they breath, let alone my time, which I value more than them.
I'll be updating this with any other matters that I find needs to be made note of in the future. When that happens the date in the title will change to the then current date. I'll also make note in the Authors Thoughts section of whatever chapter I'm then working on.

  The city has decided to start the "City's best writer" competition. This competition has a long history of  7 years. Each school's elite writers from each grade, chosen by their teacher directly, will compete with their writing skills in the city hall, in the watch of the judge. 
  We believe that each student in our school's classes has tried their best to join the competition, which honors the winner (of each grade) the price money of 50 dollars, and will also be able to present their school with the "City Honor School Flag".

  Today, Mrs. Eilidh will announce who will attend the "The school verses school competition".
  Janet heard about the "The school verses school competition" a few days after her arrival.
  She has been one of the worst writers in her old school. Everyone seemed to take writing very seriously, and they were filled with wonderful ideas for each of their works. Janet had to always be happy with a C on her paper. She never imagined having a A, which everyone else seemed to have. She seemed to be the only one, that her english teacher hated.
  Then, she came to this school. 
  Everybody seems to take writing, as a extra subject, that they can scribble on. Janet, was no longer having Cs. She became the best writer in the class. She decided, that she might be the one who joins the "The school verses school competition" in her class. 
  Mrs. Eilidh has told the class, that she will choose the attendees with the"Last essay she gives the class". It means that the one who did the best on the "Last essay she gives out", will be able to attend . But she didn't say, which one is the Last one, while giving out four in a row. So Janet, desperately wanting to join the competition, did her best on every single essay Mrs. Eilidh gave out, worrying, that it might be the Last one. 
  That, is how hard Janet tried, to get in that competition. Janet smiled. Today, was the day that Mrs. Eilidh will choose the attendees. And she was very sure, that it would be her, who joins.

  Mrs. Eilidh quickly rushed through the room, as always. Every student arose from their chair. Mrs. Eilidh shook her hand, as the meaning of "never mind about the good morning, just sit". Janet couldn't stop her from giving a yelp of excitement. She could help herself from bouncing up and down, cause she was sure that herself will get chosen.
  Everyone else, even those who wasn't interested in writing, was curious about who will get chosen. 
  "I have read all your essays!" She started, smiling. "I am sure some of you have already noticed, that the "Saturn eassay" was the "Last essay I hand out"! And... I have chosen the best essay among 32!" Janet yelped again, which caused some annoyed eyes to frown at her.
"I have to tell, that the one I have picked to attend the "The school verses school competition" is rather surprising." Mrs. Eilidh said, putting a chunk of papers down on her desk. Janet nodded. Who would have expected a new student to attend one of the biggest competition of the year? 
  "This student has tried their best on the last essay, and it was very clear that, his essay was the very best. I am indeed proud of him!" That was the moment Mrs. Eilidh looked at James. 
  Janet paused, still a smile on her face. "HIM...? It's a boy? What? Not... not me?" She gulped. "Its impossible!" 
  James net Mrs. Eilidh's eyes. Me? 
  "It's James!" Everyone looked at James, some whispering, confused. Then, came the vast clapping, of 30 hands, and 1 from Mrs. Eilidh's. Justexcept James, and  Janet's.

I would first like to apologise for not updating daily anymore or on schedule due to personal circumstances. 

And I began this novel for fun and to develop my writing style. When writing this I was not in the best mental condition and also emotionally. 

All my writings including Hero or Villainess are novels that I pour out my emotions into as a coping mechanism. As time passed, I became more stable and better then now I decided to reach for my dreams and pursue being a professional writer. 

So in short, I decided to publish this novel in the future while also changing a lot of things but keeping a lot of things I planned intact. 

I will now focus on writing Hero Or Villainess more and writing Duchess Mira in hopes of someone to publish it someday. 

So I apologise for discontinuing the novel at such a vital part of it.

[About the story]

This was inspired by the childish first story concept I developed a decade ago. 
Even though I kept the MC, some characters, and basic setting the same, the story was changed and I am in the process of developing it (somewhat a spin-off of the first story mentioned above). I am using this story as an experiment and I will use interactive mode in moving the story further and improve my writing skills.
I am currently hoping to make 3 chap a week (But each chapters takes consumes so much time as I am slow). It will be unfair to compare the release speed of a translator to these original works. 
Also, depending on the support and love of this story gets, the release speed will be increased after 2-3 months when my commitments reduce and I get a breather. 

I have a big dream story in the making and I want to use this story to gain experience and reader base foundation before attempting that multiverse story. 

[Basics about the story]

The story follows the light and dark faction background and discusses their 'affairs' from various perspectives. Mainly from someone who is in the dark faction. So most of the story is related to dark faction. I am not comfortable with this but romance is one of the core themes of the story (affairs).
The first arc may appear little slow and has some cringy stuff lol. It is just setting up the basics about the characters. It gets faster after the first 10 chapters which are the goal setting volume where the MC gets involved in a life-changing event.
So please please please read 10 chapters before deciding on this novel.

Setting: Post Nuclear War parallel Earth. Nefarion the Devil's planet. 
Mine is usually long chapters so please excuse the release rate (I know quantity rules over quality here. Maybe I should not worry too much and release more???).

[About me]
Writing is not my hobby.
I enjoy thinking about different story scenarios but never was keen on writing them down. I know my own inability of expressing a story in any form. As a person with attention and focus trouble along with increasing addiction to laziness and lack of motivation prevents me from working on this long task of writing the story I made in sentences.
I don't get support from family and friends for doing this and I don't even want to let them know I am going to write because they are not in the same page as me (I am the odd one out of the bunch wasting time on reading and stories). 
Actually, webnovel inspired me to restart writing. So I started writing this novel as an experiment. I realized I am quite an emotional being who finds it hards to write when tensed. Also home is not the best location for creativity lol. (A free person writing is wasting time for nothing while a busy person writing is hard working)

Hopefully, I will get rid of these addictions and problems of mine and find stability soon before I can promise a certain writing rate and stable release.

I'd like to extend my gratitude to everyone who has taken the time to read this story of mine and to those who've come to support it further. I am more than happy to continue on writing this novel of mine, improve my writing and flesh out the story as best I could with help from you all and my editor. Feedback is all important for me, I use it as a sort of push, a drive which would catapult me to make the story better than its current state. 

Due to this feedback, I have come to the conclusion that I need to put in more effort with each chapter. Rather focusing on frequent releases of subpar chapters, unfleshed out characters or lacking details which are essential for the story and other things I may have missed, I will hereby dedicate most of time researching, plotting and carefully writing the story.

I'll be pausing this novel because i feel that though this novel was an original idea i've had for a while it was poorly executed and i really like this idea and don't want to ruin it with bad writing. So i'll make other stories and get more experience with them before i resume writing this novel though that doesn't mean i'll give up on writing dragon ball fanfics all together.
