Much like the film taken, the idea of a man hiding behind a mask of ordinary and becoming a superhero had ignited like a wildfire.
The first day of release of The Man from Nowhere, nothing major really happened but with its reputation, entries doubled on the next day and then again on the third, the growth was such that the queuing situation was common occurrences throughout the country.
A week later, the box office numbers were finally out, and although the various spikes in popularity had prepared some people psychologically, when they saw that the no 1 Film not only locally but in all of Asia was the Man from Nowhere, everyone was shocked.
Iron Man 2 , still dominated the worldwide Box office with a staggering $128 million first week gross. The Man from Nowhere with half the screens and none in the United States had grossed an Impressive $57 million. 
Per theatre site, Iron man II grossed about $14,814 whereas The Man From Nowhere nearly double that at 29, 252 per theatre. Showing the appetite of for the film in the oriental markets.
Two people were particularly displeased with the results for different reasons. First was the Man at Sony, Mr Chung-Ho who rejected a young man's offer four months ago and Mr Nam Had, the President of 20th Century Fox, Korea who had signed a "dog-S-word agreement"
20th Century had reassessed The Man from Nowhere according to the first week box office, the result was that the Korean Box Office alone would breach $100 million and possibly hit $150 million, while coupling the Asian territories would reach a staggering $250 million.
According the Bet, if the Man from Nowhere hit $250 million, 20TH Century would have to pay Dylan, $180 million, while they would only receive 60 million, if you took the cost of distribution into account. What 20th Century fox would earn would be a fraction of Dylan's Share.
