"It's the Wonderland School of Excellence.", Akiji groaned. His face shifting into one of exaggerated and obvious displeasure. 
 
"Oh, so you're a smart kid, huh? No wonder you were able to trick me into getting you a manga that I know you aren't old enough to read.", Sumire commented, raising her eyebrows at the boy. 
 
"I mean... t-technically...". 
 
Akiji did his best to hold back a smile, but his tomato red face told Sumire everything she needed to know. She couldn't help but smile, though. She probably would've done the same thing to Kuna if she could. Sumire took his hand and walked back to the monorail station with Akiji.  
 
As they waited for the shuttle, the two of them began to read their new manga together. Sumire wasn't much of a fighter, but she imagined that she'd be doing a lot of fighting when she began at the academy. Since she had no experience in hand-to-hand combat, she decided that reading manga like Dodo's Crazy Quest and Deadly Composition would be the best way to learn real fighting techniques. In those manga, the characters prefer mental trickery and complex strategy over brawn and brute force to win against their opponents. Sumire imagined that by similarly using her ability, she'd be able to defeat opponents that she usually wouldn't be able to otherwise. 
 
Or so she told herself. In all actuality, it was probably another excuse she told herself to justify buying manga. If one of the academy teachers asked why she was late, she could just say she was studying. Regardless, the shuttle bus came, and they were the only ones on it. Sumire took a seat in the back next to the window while Akiji took the seat beside her. 
 
"Have you ever been on a shuttle like this, Sumire?" 
 
"No, but I imagine it's like every other shuttle bus. You get on, and it stops at certain places, then it goes to the destination it's set for." 
 
"Ah, okay.", said Akiji. "Also, is it okay if I take a nap? I'm a little tired.". 
 
"You really shouldn't make a habit of falling asleep on public transportation.". Sumire wanted to say that to the boy, but getting him nervous again wouldn't do him any favors.  He was already calm enough to fall asleep. What good would agitating him do? Another stupid idea Sumire came up with. 
 
"S-sure Akiji.". Sumire wrapped her pathetic arm around Akiji into a one-armed hug, allowing the boy to rest upon her shoulder.  
 
The boy smiled and closed his eyes. How was he able to sleep so comfortably around her? Sure, they went on a small adventure, but Sumire was still a stranger. A stupid and irresponsible one at that. She couldn't get to school on time, a child manipulated her, and she was on a shuttle bus in the most dangerous city in Tenebris. If only Kuna were here to stop Sumire from being so infantile. 
 
Sumire held Akiji tighter. 
 
"I'm such a fucking idiot. I'm so pathetic. You had one fucking job today, Sumire." Sumire whispered, her vacant stare facing the window, unable to focus on anything. 
 
"Hey, you shouldn't use bad wo—," Akiji stopped himself as he saw Sumire's face, tears gently flowing from her eyes like raindrops on a windowpane.  
 
"A-are you okay, Sumire? If you're mad about the book, I can give it back, and we can return them?" 
 
"I'm sorry for cursing. I try not to. My brother told me that only bad people swear when I was around your age, so I try my best not to. It just comes out sometimes, though, so I'm sorry. I'm really sorry, Akiji. Please forgive me." 
 
"I-It's fine, Sumire. You don't need to cry about it. A-and I'm not mad about you cursing. Mom used to curse a lot, actually." 
 
Akiji didn't know what to say to Sumire at that moment. Usually, when other kids cried at school, the average response was to just stare at them until the teacher responded. When their friends started crying, though, they usually just asked... 
 
"What's wrong?", Akiji probed. 
 
"I-it's nothing, Akiji. You don't need—" 
 
"No, I constituent!", Akiji declared 
 
Sumire stared at Akiji in visible confusion. 
 
"Uhh, t-they said that in the manga you got me, so I wanted to sound smart. Did I use that wrong?" 
 
"Yeah, you did. I think I get what you wanted to say, though.", chuckled Sumire 
 
"Since you're so sweet, I'll answer." Sumire patted Akiji's head a bit, causing the boy's cheeks to almost match the light cherry color of her bloodshot eyes.  
 
"It's just...sometimes I feel directionless, you know...? Like I don't know where I'm going or what I'm doing. When I woke up, I told myself that I would get to school on time, and yet I'm here with you. I don't even know where I'll be in the next 30 minutes. Most people in my position would've been at their destination by now, but I feel like my destination is always changing. You get it?" 
 
"Nope. I have no idea what that means.", Akiji declared. "What I do know, though, is that today was an awesome day! I'm sorry I stopped you from getting to school on time. I didn't mean to ruin your day," 
 
"No, Akiji, that's not what—" 
 
"But today was so cool because of you! The monorail was so fun, even though we accidentally destroyed the car we were in, and the manga store was so cool! They had everything in there! I know we're both late and our teachers are probably gonna yell at us, but I had a great fucking day!" 
 
Akiji's face sank as he immediately put his hands over his mouth. 
 
"W-wait no no no I'm sorry they said it in the manga and it was so bada—I mean cool so I wanted to sound cool too an—" 
 
"Well, I think you're the coolest person in  the world." Sumire smiled, pulling Akiji into a firm hug. "Thank you, Akiji. I really needed that." 
 
"N-no problem! I try my best," joked Akiji. 
 
The two sat in a silent hug for a while, Sumire's tears finally ceasing. When they separated, though, Akiji was greeted by the intense glare of Sumire's pencil-thin irises, peering deeply into his soul. 
 
"You're lucky you're on my good s~ide. I usually melt people who s~wear at me! You'd better say you're s~orry!" Sumire hissed, opening her mouth to an impossible length. 
 
"I'm sorry! I won't do it again, I swear!" yelped Akiji, the color drained from his face. 
 
Sumire's face returned to normal as she burst into loud laughter. 
 
"T-that wasn't funny," Akiji whined. The boy did his best to hold back tears. Noticing this, Sumire quickly embraced the boy but couldn't stop herself from laughing.  
 
"Told you I could be scary."

Order & Fate: Rebellious Children is a series about a girl named Sumire Kato who is abruptly thrust into a world seething with murder, conspiracy, and drama. She must find strength within herself, rely on the friends she made, and uncover the mysteries of her home before doom reaches her and her loved ones!

First, the chapter-length varies between 1000-3000 words depending on the events. Admittedly, the first batch of introductory chapters is a bit of a slow burn. I want to introduce you to the characters before getting to the craziness, so if you're interested in wall-to-wall action and fights each chapter, then this may not be the story for you.



Secondly, this story is heavily inspired by darker shounen manga and anime such as Hunter x Hunter and Jujutsu Kaisen, with the fights and magic system in particular taking inspiration from Jojo's Bizzare Adventure. If you like anime, then you'll probably like this story. If you prefer Tolkien-esque fantasy, though, then this story also may not be for you.

 

Thirdly, I have a decent stockpile of chapters stored, which I plan on expanding upon each day. Because of that, this series won't be dropped or put into indefinite hiatus, and chapters will be released daily unless otherwise stated. Finally, I've done multiple grammar and spell checks, so there shouldn't be any immersion-breaking grammatical issues. If you do find one, though, please leave a comment, and I'll revise! 

 

Finally, while this is my very first fiction, it's also a first draft of sorts. I plan to have this story professionally edited and published, so any feedback is very much appreciated!

"Let's go! Let's submit my manga, Yuuki!! Ruki!!" Tsubasa pulled them to go to Weekly Shonen Gongon.

"Wa-wait, Tsu-chan!! Don't pull me!!" Ruki screamed.

"Hahaha, let's go!" Yuuki also 

Yuuki and Tsubasa were excited and made Ruki smiled wryly, "Mooo!!"

They arrived at the entrance of Weekly Shounen Gongon, ever since Yuuki published his manga in here, the situation of was several better compared to the past. 

"Are you ready?" Yuuki looked at Tsubasa.

"Yes," Tsubasa nodded at him with eyes full of fire.

"Good, let's enter," Yuuki nodded.

Tsubasa and Yuuki entered the building at the same time leaving Ruki shook her head, "Wait for me!!"

They entered the building and heard the commotion in the front of the receptionist.

Yuuki saw the receptionist and Mihari tried to appease the people in front of them but it was futile, he heard their scream wanted to see him. 

"LET US SEE, YUUKI-SENSEI!!"

"WE WON'T LEAVE UNTIL WE SAW YUUKI-SENSEI!!"

"CAW CAW, ME TOO!!! I WANT TO SEE, YUUKI-SENSEI!!!"

"No, you can't!! You're the mangaka from shounen jump! Why are you coming here!!" Mihari was trying to block them.

"We want to see our rival!!!"

"We want to become the most popular mangaka in the world!!!"

"Caw caw, I want to see my fated rival!!!!"

"I said, you can't!!!" Mihari said then she noticed someone entered the building, she was stunned and said, "Eh? Yuuki?"

"YUUKI-SENSEI!!" Three of them turned their heads and locked their eyes into him.

Yuuki frowned and observed them, he knew who they were, he knew they would become his rival in this manga industry, but he wouldn't back down, he had cheat after all.

"Yo, Mihari, what's wrong?" Yuuki asked.

Mihari was running toward him, "Yuuki, run!! They wanted to sabotage you!!!"

"NO!!!!" Three of them said at the same time.

"Who are you guys?" Yuuki asked. He was quite interested in them.

"My name is Akito Takagi," The glasses guy said.

Takagi is quite tall and skinny, he has medium length blond hair, gold/yellow eyes and wears glasses. He is seen wearing a large pair of headphones around his neck. He wears a red track sweater. 

"My name is Moritaka Mashiro," The ordinary guy said.

Mashiro is of average build and height. He has raven blue hair and blue eyes, with a cowlick at the top of his head.

"Caw, Caw, my name is Eiji Niizuma, I'm gonna take the 1st place from you!" The strange guy said.

Eiji wears the same purple clothing which consists of a long sleeved black t-shirt and simple blue jeans.

Yuuki titled his head, "What do you want?" His build was tall and buff it was quite intimidating for both Mashiro and Takagi. They gulped their saliva and forgotten what they wanted to say to him.

"WE WANT TO DECLARE WAR TO YOU!!!" Suddenly, Eiji said made everyone startled.

"Hoo?" Yuuki looked at him with interest, he started to draw manga because he wanted to save his little brother, he didn't have any strong feeling toward the manga itself beside it would make a lot of money from him, but as a man his blood boiling when he heard him want to declare a war against him. He wanted to know whether three people in front of him could make a manga that could defeat Naruto, One Piece, Bleach, etc. He knew they were the main characters from 'Bakuman'.

"Yeah! We'll defeat you!!" Takagi said while clenching his hands.

"Yeah! Remember our pen name is Ashiragi Muto!!" Mashiro said.

"Caw, Caw!! My manga will become the best in the world!!" Eiji said.

"Good, don't make me wait for so long, it's lonely in the top," Yuuki said with full pressure on them.

Takagi, Mashiro, and Eiji felt a cold sweat on their hands, 'this is the aura of the best mangaka!!' They wanted to bow to him. Yuuki was like a king and they couldn't defeat it until they remembered their dreams!! They wanted to become the most popular mangaka!!

"ORAAA!!!" Takagi, Mashiro, and Eiji screamed at the same time. They felt an adrenaline rush into their blood. They wouldn't give up, they would beat him, no, they had to beat him, or else Yuuki would dominate the entire manga industry. They didn't want to become the side characters in this world, they too wanted to become the main characters.

"Haha, I'll wait for you guys on the top, Tsubasa, Ruki, Mihari, let's go," Yuuki walked away with a cool pose. He was like the last boss in the RPG game.

"Yes!!" Tsubasa followed him like a puppy.

"Wait!!" Ruki and Mihari said at the same time.

Takagi, Mashiro, and Eiji were still stunned, they had never felt this tired in entire their life, but they became even more excited, Yuuki had told them he would wait for them on the top. They wouldn't disappoint him, they needed to accompany him to the top manga industry and beat him in the process.

"How old is, Yuuki-sensei?" Mashiro suddenly asked.

"Caw, caw, 17 years old!" Eiji said.

Mashiro and Takagi opened their eyes wide and clenched their hands tighter. They were the same age and Yuuki had already several times ahead of them.

"Mashiro, let's go! My head is full of a new idea for our manga!!" Takagi said, he would make the best manga, no, he had to make it for his dream.

"Yes!! I feel like, I make some breakthrough in my drawing skill!!" Mashiro clenched his hands, he knew that his drawing skill wasn't as good as him, but, that encounter made him realize something.

"Caw, caw, I want to draw new manga!! Caw, caw, I won't sleep tonight!!" Eiji was excited and screamed. He felt like become the main character of his manga and met the highest enemy, he had seen in his life, he wouldn't give up, he would definitely beat him.

Their encounter was fate, they were meant to be a rival, they would try to be the number 1 in this industry. 

They walked to the outside building and started their story.

i had lived another life on a planet called earth. it was a mundane and somewhat boring world. it was filled with all kinds of new and innovative technology. It was exciting when i was young, but after a while it lost its novelty.
it was nothing compared to this world that's for sure. this world was filled with all kinds of wondrous and magical creatures. In my mind I called it Hunterworld. 
i had read Hunter x Hunter when i went to high-school  and it was one of the best manga and anime i had ever read or seen. 
It was a world filled with such possibilities, and now I had the opportunity to explore it and maybe even travel to the dark continent mentioned towards the end of the manga.
I don't know how I died, but my first waking moments of consciousness was as a baby. 
I was born to an ordinary family in a satellite town outside York Shin.
it took me a long time to realize i was in the hunter world, and that i was at least sixty years ahead of the main plot in the manga. The technology was severely underdeveloped compared to the world I came from, but I knew according to the manga that it would change within my lifetime, and almost catch up to the earth of the twenty-first century.
The Hunter organisation was just a young sapling, compared to the giant later on.
I had just graduated from school, and a new and important goal was before me. To learn Nen. i had done my research and knew of a dojo in York shin  that had the best possibility of teaching Nen to its students.
the Noma Dojo was known for its Swordsmanship and its very strong disciples. i had heard a rumor that the dojo master had never lost a battle.
i knew it gave me the best possibility to learn the abilities i need to survive in this dangerous world.

The story happens in the Hunter x Hunter world over 60 years before the main plot of the manga.
The Mc is a pretty much normal person, and the build up will be slow ish.
