All this while, Old Man Mu had been hiding in a corner of the forest that had never seen the sun. Naturally, the Great Snowmountain had been unable to track him down since they were searching the Land of Fragrance.
More than 1000 nobles were forced to enter the forest. They wandered around and soon entered the vicinity where Old Man Mu was. They disrupted his spiritual retreat and he was furious. He was even more enraged when he realized that he was unable to master the Five Hole Earth Punch.
The two fits of anger rose in him and he vented it all on the nobles who had accidentally barged in.
After killing more than a dozen of them, Old Man Mu calmed down and asked a few of the nobles about the events that had happened in the Land of Fragrance. He lashed out at the other nobles, including the now deceased Shili Luomo, "So many of you, yet you were beaten by a defeated army, are all of you still men even? No, I mean, are all of you still humans?"
He had forgotten that he had subdued the whole country using only cruel means of killing and some boasting. He began to scold the weak nobles, saying that they had no guts. The few nobles who unfortunately fallen into the clutches of the devil trembled as they took the oath, stating that they had received blood from the "Revered" and would go out of the forest to resist Dragon King with all of their might.
Old Man Mu's anger gradually disappeared, he knew that these cowards did not have what it took to fight against Dragon King, so he plotted a plan for them, "You bunch of fools, don't the slaves listen to you the most? Pretend to surrender to Dragon King and join the army, then encourage those idiots to rebel."
Old Man Mu was very proud of his wit. Therefore, these "bunch of fools" quickly contacted their peers who were unaware of what had happened and walked out of the forest together to surrender to Dragon King. They were zealous in ordering the "bunch of idiots" to stage a mutiny.
Su Mohua did not see Old Man Mu, but he heard about what had happened from his brother. He had been hesitant all along; now that the conspiracy had revealed so quickly, he need not be in a dilemma any longer.
Gu Shenwei did not hear any important information from Su Mohua. To him, it was not important who led the mutiny.
"That's it?" He frowned slightly.
Su Mohua became more and more flustered. He thought hard to see if there was anything else worth mentioning. It was not his intention to hold back any information, just that he was unable to differentiate the order of importance when it came to such matters. Therefore, it was only until the end when he came to what he thought was unimportant, "And, he wants the high priest, my brother..."
Gu Shenwei waved his hand to interrupt, "What does Old Man Mu want the high priest for?"
Gu Shenwei had lied about the high priest possessing Chapter Eight of the Wayless Book. That pedantic semi-paralyzed old man knew nothing about high-level Kung Fu, he had merely memorized the records penned by the ancestors and occasionally blurted out some shocking observations.
"No, I don't know." Su Mohua was both elated and nervous that Dragon King was finally interested in the information that he provided. "I heard that he had met the high priest before and talked for a long time."
Gu Shenwei really could not understand what Old Man Mu could get from the high priest.
Suddenly, he felt that he must meet the high priest and clarify this matter.
Dragon King walked out of the tent. Su Mohua was perplexed. Bracing himself, he asked, "Dragon King, about my brother..."
"Go and tell them to think hard about what other information can be used to redeem their lives. Let me know before dawn."
Gu Shenwei would never forgive the mutinous nobles easily. Moreover, he was certain that these nobles had withheld many secrets about the Land of Fragrance that even the slaves were unaware of.
The high priest lived alone in a small tent near to the imprisoned nobles, right in the heart of where the soldiers were lying in ambush.
He had a young disciple as a servant but that disciple did not stay with him at night.
The high priest smiled kindly upon seeing Dragon King. He was an easily contented old man who lived in a world built by ancient books. With the Flower Soul Forest burnt, and most of his disciples dismissed; even though he was surrounded by strangers with sabers and swords, all of these happenings would not change his world. It was as though he still lived in the straw hut inside the forest.
Beside him piles of ancient books were stacked, these were the only treasures that he refused to let go of. Gu Shenwei had quickly looked through the books once, but most of the content was meaningless. There were many Kung Fu skills mentioned in the books which were already long lost.
There was an old monk from the Four Truths Temple who always had a kind smile as well, but it was a smile that made him look like an all-knowing god looking down from up high. The smile of the high priest, however, seemed like a smile that a child would possess, someone who had not yet grown up and knew nothing about the world. To put it bluntly, Gu Shenwei felt that the high priest had not yet matured in terms of intellect.
"Have you met Old Man Mu before?" Gu Shenwei asked calmly. There was no need, nor was it necessary, to speak harshly to someone like the high priest.
"You mean that shorty?"
"Yes."
"Yes, he is very studious."
It was a very strange judgment. Gu Shenwei was somewhat regretful that he did not come to clarify earlier. It suddenly occurred to him that during the few times when he spoke with the high priest, he had not mentioned Old Man Mu at all. Moreover, the high priest would never take the initiative to start a topic that was unrelated to Kung Fu.
"What did you guys talk about?"
"He said, 'Old fellow, your Kung Fu must be quite good to be able to recognize that I am using the unique skill of Yuqing Sect,' and I said, 'Hey fellow, isn't it easy? It's all written in the books.' Then, he said..."
Gu Shenwei quickly corrected his mistake. If this went on, the high priest would recount every word that he had said at that time. Although he might seem odd, the high priest did possess a good memory. It was so good that he was able to repeat a book he had read decades ago word for word.
"Then he realized that you don't know Kung Fu."
"How can I not know Kung Fu?" The high priest was never angry, but there was a slight surprise in his tone and facial expression. "I know the best Kung Fu in this world and I even teach it to many disciples."
The high priest's meaning of "knowing" was different from how normal people understood it. Gu Shenwei could only patiently wait for him to finish speaking before saying, "Sorry, I misspoke. Old Man Mu realized that you are very good at Kung Fu, so he came to you for advice."
"Yes, he didn't believe me at first, but later, he grew in admiration of me and even wanted to talk to me all night long."
"Did he asked about the Five Hole Punch?" Gu Shenwei tried to be more specific in his questions.
"Yes, he said he wanted to test me, so he asked me if I knew how to master the Five Hole Punch by practicing until the highest level - the Earth Punch which belonged to the spleen."
"So you told him."
"Of course, this is too easy for me," The high priest revealed his repressed delight like a child. "The Heart corresponds with Fire, and it begets the Spleen, which corresponds with Earth. When you reach the Heart Fire level of the Five Hole Punch, you need to maximize your full potential. However, the Spleen Earth level is the exact opposite. Earth is the highest virtue that tolerates all. Your Qi needs to be reserved, and your strength must be contained and not blow up..."
When the high priest began his lengthy speech. Gu Shenwei knew that he was reciting the contents of the books again because he had read about the records of the Five Hole Punch among the pile of ancient books.
Old Man Mu was clever throughout his life, yet he was fooled this time. He was actually impressed by the naive and pedantic high priest and had gone in retreat to practice the Five Hole Earth Punch according to what he had said. Of course, the results were unsuccessful.
Gu Shenwei started worrying for the high priest's life. It was indeed strange that Old Man Mu had not killed the high priest off despite entering the camp several times. "Did he ask you about the Wayless Book?"
"Ah, Wayless Book. That's the highest secret manuscript of martial arts from the Reborn Fort of Xuandu Peak. No matter how you practice all the Kung Fu in the world, there is always an end to it. Like the Five Hole Punch, the highest level is the Spleen Earth level. However, the Wayless Book is neverending. There is nothing to the way, therefore it is endless, neverending, limitless and infinite..."
The high priest was immersed in a fantasy of glory and pride and almost forgot to answer Dragon King's question. "The shorty did ask about the Wayless Book. It's a pity that the Holy King felt that this set of unique art was too mystical and did not find it fitting to spread it to the world, so he destroyed it and didn't bring it to the Land of Fragrance. What a pity."
The high priest had always respected his distant ancestors. However, he held an entirely different view from the Holy King on this matter.
The records about the predecessor of Golden Roc Fort on the ancient books were mostly a mixture of truth and falsehood. Gu Shenwei believed that even Zhang Ji, who was well informed, would not be able to distinguish the truth from it. But some things could still be judged according to human nature. Of course, the Holy King would not destroy the divine kung fu. There must be some reason as to why he did not bring it out of the Stone Castle. Perhaps the Holy King himself had not even come to the Land of Fragrance, he could have been killed by the killers and his descendants who managed to escaped made up a series of stories about it.
Gu Shenwei decided to end his speculations here. He was not interested in the history of Stone Castle and it was getting late. Old Man Mu would barge into the camp any time now. "High Priest, please rest well. I will come back and consult you again in the future."
The high priest was somewhat reluctant as Dragon King took his leave. He finished what he wanted to say in his mind, then mumbled to himself, "Dragon King is not as studious as that shorty."
With this information, Gu Shenwei believed that it was quite possible that Old Man Mu was really interested in the high priest. He only told Maid Lotus about it while the rest remained in ambush. Regardless of whether Old Man Mu's target was Shangguan Ru or the high priest, Gu Shenwei's plan remained the same: Old Man Mu will die by the arrows.
The military camp gradually quietened down. Because Old Man Mu would come and kill every night, the soldiers outside the ambush circle were all on standby and ready to fight.
Just after midnight, Old Man Mu appeared. But he did not show up in public, instead, he used another way to make it known that he had accepted Dragon King's challenge.
"Dragon King, you little bastard. Even if I die, this old fellow here will never forget that you once stabbed me in the belly! Clean your belly, I will do the same and stab you as well!"
Old Man Mu was using the Seven Magical Tones. It made many people agitated, and although they did not lose control, their hidden tracks were easily revealed. This was how Old Man Mu managed to discover the men in ambush.
"Good girl, I will return the remains of Dragon King to you after I am done with him. Haha, it may not be whole, but I guarantee he will still be alive."
Old Man Mu had already fully recovered his Kung Fu and no longer needed Shangguan Ru's help. He boldly spoke his mind and knew what could unnerve her the most.
Shangguan Ru turned red all the way up to her ears. Thank goodness the night sky was able to mask her expression, and even the last trace of sympathy that she had for Old Man Mu disappeared.
Gu Shenwei was not affected by his words. Old Man Mu had been shouting similar words for the past few days and these would not offend him.
This was a life-and-death duel. As long as Gu Shenwei adhered to this principle, he would not entertain foolish thoughts. There were many ways to kill people. Moreover, in the eyes of killers, every means was legitimate and reasonable.
Old Man Mu became more and more excited as he talked, and his words grew more gruesome as well. But he still did not enter the ambush circle. Even though Old Man Mu thought highly of himself, he was no fool.
There were several occasions where he would try to barge in a few steps and immediately retreat and disappear into the darkness without waiting for the soldiers lying in ambush to react.
Gu Shenwei had all the time in the world. He knew that no matter how imperfect the process of killing was, people would quickly forget all of these afterward and only remember the glory of the winner and the pitifulness of the dead.
Old Man Mu spent a long time hassling with them. After two hours, he finally ran out of words to say and stayed silent. Everybody was relieved.
Less than half an hour later, Old Man Mu's voice rang again. This time, he no longer used the Seven Magical Tones, but the excitement in his tone was undeniable. "Goodbye, Dragon King. I will come and find you again, good girl!"
He did not kill anyone at all.
Gu Shenwei suddenly realized that he had made a grave mistake.
Someone had made a mistake far more grave than him, however. Old Man Mu's last words had exposed his position and a figure shot out like an arrow from ambush.
Shangguan Ru could not stand Old Man Mu's verbal humiliation any longer, she had to vent her anger. There were other ways to punish the enemy other than killing.

He would only be satisfied if he completely destroyed his enemy—by fair means or foul. Gradually his bitter experience turned him into a totally different person. 
This is a kung fu fiction that is full of mysteries and surprises. This is a story dealing with love, betrayals and distances. This is the journey of an ordinary boy who, against all odds, fought against formidable foes. This is a tale regarding a person who felt abandoned by the world made unremitting efforts to create a new world of his own, in which he was alone.

The following day, dad brings me to the family manor via portkey. Apparating with a wizard who has yet received magical education can go very wrong. When grandpa Magnus leads me to the family library, I become astounded. There are so many. Grandpa shows me some books I might be interested to read first such as books on potions, alchemy, wards, charms etc. Even though I don't have a wand yet, I can still build a foundation on all these subjects. Theoretical foundation that is, mom would never allow me to experiment. One notebook I saw astonished me; it's merlin's notes on how to create your own spells. I know I can't start on that yet as it's probably far too complicated for now but, one day I sure as hell will read it and create my own spells. 

In duels, you either use the 'protego' spell, dodge or use precise counter spells. But what came to my mind is that if I were to create enough of my own spells to duel without using all the mainstream spells, I would easily overwhelm most adversaries because they would not know what spell I'm sending their way, as long as they are not on the same level of Dumbledore and Voldemort. This is still in the far future though. Grandpa Magnus gives me a questioning gaze and asks "what will is be Jake?" 
"Charms and potions for now" I eagerly respond. Grandpa picks gives me the notes on charms and potions but not before giving me a serious warning, "Jake, these are only to read. Your magic is still too volatile to do any practical experiments. Once you attend Hogwarts you may practice, but only till then. Have I made myself clear?" I had never heard grandpa speak to me so seriously before so I understood the severity of the situation, which is why I felt guilty for lying. "Yes grandpa, only once I attend Hogwarts." Now, my lie isn't too severe. I mean I don't plan on casting any spells or brewing any potions. What I do plan on doing is exerting my magic as much as possible everyday by lifting objects for as long as possible so as to slowly increase the amount of magic I can use. God said it all depends on talent and practice. So I intend to practice as much as possible.

Another thought I had on how to make myself even better as a duelist is martial arts. No I don't plan on doing a Hail Mary in my fights, what I what martial arts for is dodging and for the occasion where I find myself without my wand in a dangerous situation. In those ways, martial arts would be a saving grace. So, a few days after my birthday I asked my father, "dad, can I learn martial arts?" Dad looked absolutely bamboozled for a good 10 seconds until he finally asked "why in Merlin's name would you want to learn martial arts?" 
"To be better at dodging spells and also to not be defenseless without my wand"
My father seemed to be considering it and just as he was about to give me an answer, mom interrupted him, "absolutely not, martial arts are dangerous and could get you hurt." At that point I had almost resigned myself when I suddenly remembered the most effective weapon a child has against his parents, the ultimate weapon that can get you almost anything you want: wounded puppy eyes. 
As I unleashed my weapon of mass destruction I saw my mother's face crumble instantly. "Alright, but you have to tell me if you get hurt." I gave her a satisfied smile and told her I would. 

And so began my 7 years of preparation for Hogwarts, reading and comprehending books on charms, potions, alchemy, transfiguration. Additionally, I would attend two lessons a week of boxing and another two lessons a week of Kung fu with a sword. Boxing I do because it is the best for dodging. If you don't know how to dodge really well then you aren't getting far in boxing. The sword wielding was hard to find, most Kung fu school no longer teach weapon wielding but I managed to find one. I chose to learn to wield the sword because it has always been a dream of mine. Sue me. Furthermore, every night before going to sleep I exert my magic as much as possible which then allows me to sleep like a baby due to exhaustion. 

Jake King, inventor of General A.I. is given a chance to start anew in the world of Harry Potter. 
This is my first fanfic so have mercy. I guess the quarantine finally made me crack, I never thought I would ever do a fanfic. Also, two more things: first is no harem, I’ve been on this website long enough to know how obsessed some are with harem. Finally, in the first chapter I wrote some things that are a bit insulting to religion and I’m sorry. It is not my intention to insult, it’s just there as a bit of comedic relief, at least I think it’s funny, I don’t know.

"The world of martial arts is really dangerous," said Wang Yao with a smile.
"Yes, it is dangerous, but not to the general public," said Zhou Xiong with a smile.
Wang Yao and Sang Guzi saw Zhou Wuyi together in the afternoon again. Zhou Wuyi's condition was basically stable, and he shouldn't have any new conditions anytime soon. However, his damaged and broken meridians needed to be addressed as soon as possible. Neither Wang Yao nor Sang Guzi could do anything about it.
"I can do nothing to repair his meridians at this stage," said Wang Yao to Zhou Xiong and his father.
Since he couldn't do more for Zhou Wuyi, there was no point for Wang Yao to continue staying at Cangzhou.
"I should go back to Lianshan," said Wang Yao.
"Okay, I will arrange for people to drive you back," said Zhou Xiong's father without hesitation. "But, I've arranged dinner; how about leaving after dinner?"
"Sure, thanks," said Wang Yao. He didn't decline the invitation this time.

"Uncle, how can you allow him to leave?" said Zhou Ying to Zhou Xiong's father after Wang Yao had left the living room.
"I understand you worry about your father. But it was us who invited him to come. He is our guest, and he has done his best to save your father. We shouldn't stop him if he wants to go back. You've heard him just now that he can do nothing more to help your father, and Dr. Sang will not leave for now," said Zhou Xiong's father.
"I'm sorry, Uncle," said Zhou Ying as he had calmed down.
"That's fine. Stay here with your dad, and leave everything else to me tonight," said Zhou Xiong's father.
"Okay," said Zhou Ying.
The dinner was not in a restaurant. Zhou Xiong's father made dinner at home. In some places, inviting people for dinner at home could be considered informal or even stingy. But in other places, it was considered a special treat, as the guest was treated as a family member or a very close friend.
It was a rich dinner with ample food. Considering that it was Wang Yao's first time visiting Cangzhou, Zhou Xiong's family prepared some famous local foods for him.
It was a pleasant get-together.
After dinner, Both Wang Yao and Dr. Sang were going to leave. They were going in the same direction, so they went in the same car.
The car didn't go very far before a strange sound was heard by the people inside. The car ran over something, causing it to lean to one side.
"What is going on?" asked Wang Yao.
"I think it is due to a flat tire. Let me go and check," said the driver who pulled over. As soon as he got out of the car, he was knocked out and fell to the ground without making a sound.
No! Zhou Xiong knew something was wrong.
"Everyone stay in the car!" shouted Zhou Xiong as he got out of the car.
His voice was especially loud in the quiet night. He did that deliberately to ask for assistance. They were still in Zhou Village, so there were still villagers nearby.
Ding! Wang Yao heard several short and loud sounds.
Zhou Xiong knelt down to the ground. He had two wounds already, and blood was gushing out of them.
Crash! A window of the car was broken.
"Dr. Sang, please stay out of this," said a hoarse voice.
"Yao, run whenever you can!" Dr. Sang took a few acupuncture needles out of his pocket.
What a coincidence! Wang Yao came across what he wanted to know about jianghu and the world of martial arts, but the dark side.
Wang Yao didn't say anything. His Qi was running inside his body. He was using his mind to control his Qi.
As Wang Yao drank ancient spring water and practiced Natural Classics frequently, he was much fitter than most adults. His five senses were also extremely sharp. Plus, with the increasing Qi inside his body, his ability to feel and listen were extraordinary. He had heard the wind outside, the sound of leaves hitting the ground, and the breath from the two people who were just outside their car. One of them was on the left, and the other was on the right.
Wang Yao suddenly opened the door of the car.
He saw a flash of light.
It was actually a blade, a very sharp blade.
But Wang Yao saw the blade, and he punched out as powerful as gun fire.
Crack! Suddenly, there was a cracking sound, and a man flew out upside down.
It was a life or death situation; Wang Yao had to give it his best shot.
On the other side, Dr. Sang also took action. He waved his hand, and a number of fine silver needles flew out. People nearby could even hear the needles penetrating the air. Dr. Sang not only had fine medical skills but also was a Kung Fu master.
"Go!" shouted Dr. Sang.
Wang Yao got out of the car first. Whoosh! A person ran towards him. Wang Yao had to grab Dr. Sang behind him.
Wang Yao half squatted then used all his strength to jump out, like an arrow.
What?!
Wang Yao had a brief encounter with one of the assailants, and he felt the biting cold across his face. His hands pushed out at the same time.
Thwack! Wang Yao's push was as powerful as a waterfall. A man groaned and flew out before landing heavily on the ground.
Internal martial arts?!
Dr. Sang, who stood nearby opened his eyes in shock. He didn't expect Wang Yao, a young man with astonishing medical skills, to also be an internal martial arts master.
The man who got knocked down by Wang Yao threw something at Wang Yao immediately after he fell to the ground.
"Watch out!" shouted Dr. Sang anxiously.
Wang Yao dodged the attack. Ding! Ding! Something was pinned to the car. Wang Yao turned his head to take a look. By the time he turned his head back, the man had fled. The other man who was knocked down earlier by Wang Yao also wanted to escape, but he was hit by a stone thrown by Wang Yao.
"Dr. Sang, are you okay?" asked Wang Yao.
"I'm fine. I'm surprised that you are such a Kung Fu master!" said Dr. Sang.
"I just learned Kung Fu from someone a short while ago. I'm not a master yet. Please don't tell anyone that I know Kung Fu." Wang Yao didn't expect that he could do such damage to the men attacking them.
After practicing Kung Fu for several months, it was the first time for Wang Yao to apply his Kung Fu skills in a critical, real-life fight.
"Don't worry; I won't tell anyone. Thank you for saving my life!" said Dr. Sang.
People from Zhou Xiong's family arrived shortly. They were surprised to see the attacker lying on the ground.
"Are you okay, Dr. Sang, Dr. Wang?" said Zhou Xiong's father. He didn't expect his enemies were so bold, daring to attack his friends near his house.
"We are fine," said Dr. Sang.
People from Zhou Xiong's family took the injured attacker away. Zhou Xiong was injured by a blade at two different locations on his body. Fortunately, the blade didn't reach his bones. The driver was knocked out by a big blow. He also had a fatal injury caused by the blade. Zhou Xiong's father didn't think he would live for long.
"Damn it!" said Zhou Xiong's father. Everyone in Zhou Xiong's family was angry.
Not only them, other people involved, such as Dr. Sang and Wang Yao were also angry. Dr. Sang had practiced medicine for years and helped a lot of people. He made friends with a lot of people who wanted to return the favor to him. He had some social connections with both government officials and their illegal counterparts. Those people even dared to attack him in Cangzhou. Big things were going to happen in the world of jianghu.
Of course, none of those things had anything to do with Wang Yao. He was sent away by Zhou Xiong's family at night in case any accident was going to happen. He had a Kung Fu master as company for his safety.
Wang Yao didn't return to Lianshan directly. He arrived at Huaicheng first, then changed cars to return to Lianshan.
He called Zhou Xiong to tell him that he had arrived at home safely.
"Sorry, I'm so sorry." Zhou Xiong kept apologizing over the phone.
"Don't worry about it." What happened had happened. There was no point in apologizing over it.
Wang Yao really didn't expect to come across an event like this, which he thought could only happen in novels and movies. Anyway, the trip to Cangzhou had changed many of his views.
There were too many mysteries in this world that he had no knowledge of. Maybe things he only heard of in legends were truly existing or happening.

Such severe damage to the meridians should be considered a difficult-to-treat illness. Wang Yao had read quite a lot of descriptions of symptoms related to meridians in medical books. Clear and coherent meridians kept a person healthy.
If the human body was the earth, the meridians would be the rivers. Without the nurturing from the rivers, the land would dry out. If any of the running rivers were stopped at certain points or changed directions, horrible things could happen.
It was an extremely difficult task to disentangle and reconnect the broken meridians.
The patient's condition was slightly similar to Zhou Wukang's condition.
Wang Yao thought very hard of how to treat Zhou Ying's father.
At the same time, inside a village in Cangzhou, which was thousands of miles away from Lianshan, a conversation was going on.

So they only referred to few poisonous plants raising and toxin allocation, which was not effective enough in Samsara tasks.
Of course, if one further studied the theory of the medical treatment, he would understand more toxicology for the medical treatment and toxicology were connected together. But at the present, Fu Zhenzhen had not reached this realm.
"With the remaining 370 Karma points, she has to exchange not only for the script of toxin script but also for the toxin materials..." Fu Zhenzhen did not choose the other things for the Man-saving Sutra was a most fundamental theory. Except for healing through genuine Qi, it could raise the spiritual things. And once consumed, it could quickly recover. Furthermore, it also included the relevant Body Movements of sword art.
After her exchange had finished, Meng Qi asked Ge Huai'en with a smile, "Do you need a long sword of the Refined Weapons?"
It was well known that this was a much better deal to exchange his spoils of war with his companions than with Dominator of Samsara in Six Realms, really a double- winning one. And only Ge Huai'en, who needed a long sword, did not have one yet.
Ge Huai'en, mild and gentle, slightly nodded to Meng Qi and said, "Brother Meng, I want that Dying For a Just Cause Sword."
While Meng Qi was helping Fu Zhenzhen to choose the things she needed, he was quietly glancing over all his trophies.

Ge Huai'en exchanged 200 Karma points for the Dying For a Just Cause Sword with Meng Qi. With the 580 Karma points left, I have to exchange for a Heavenly Acumen Pill and two bottles of Virtual Consolidation Elixirs. "Brother Ge, en, apart from kung fu, what else are you adept at? Or what else are you interested in?" Meng Qi was active and fond of jesting. Though he often said he was stingy, actually, he tended to contribute a lot of effort without caring much on the return most of the time. Ge Huaien pondered for a moment and said, "Among the six skills of the Confucious Sect, I like the divination best and intensely dive in Book of Changes. Can these be seen as hobbies?"
"Of course, they can." On hearing this, Meng Qi braced up at once. "What we need in our team is talent just like yourself!"
Ruan Yushu, holding her ancient organ in her arms, slightly interjected, "If you want to learn from numbers to 'count' to detect the future things to pursue good fortune and avoid disasters, then Wang-styled Book of Changes is your good choice."
As they were big aristocratic families in the neighbourly states, Ruan Yushu knew the Wang family in the River East very well.
Wang-styled Book of Changes only cost 300 Karma points. Thought it was a little more expensive than the other books of number deduction, such as Plum Blossom and Liuren, it had a sound foundation. Of course, without a talent in predicting, it was useless to exchange for such books, for it was too difficult to learn them well.
"En, Wang-styled Book of Changes was written by some Master of Wang family who had studied Book of Changes. Though it only covers the basics of the Book of Changes, a primer for those disciples who have outstanding body potentials, yet it's broad and profound." Jiang Zhiwei agreed with Ruan Yushu.
Ge Huaien pondered for a moment and decided to exchange for the Wang-styled Book of Changes, for it could help him to avoid some risks. Then he spent the remaining 70 Karma points on the auxiliaries, such as copper coins, pegwoods, and items of changing appearance.
Meng Qi sold two swords for 400 Karma points, plus the reward of 100, and 200 from shaking the pot. In total, he got 1,871 Karma points. He cast the remaining weapons and the Yin-absorbing Secret Sutra which he had read and was almost useless now into the Central Light Pillar.
With the remaining four long swords of the Refined Weapons in exchange for 620 Karma points, the Yin-absorbing Secret Sutra for 220, six swords of Hundred-time Tempered 120, Meng Qi's Karma points shot up to 2831. Even including the consumed thunderbolt mark, he reaped more than Jiang Zhiwei.
When he knew everyone gained a bumper harvest, he suddenly realized that these harvests might be the "gifts" prepared by the Dominator of Samsara in Six Realms before the death mission as to increase their survival possibility.
"You have looted the sword warehouse, haven't you?" When Jiang Zhiwei saw Meng Qi had so many swords, she could not help kidding.
"Yeah, almost." Meng Qi replied with a smile. When he looked up the parts of the Exterior on the exchange list, he found the Seven Purple Thunderstrikes, which was the top bladesmanship of the Exterior. Its price was 8,800 Karma points. And its core and Purple Thunder Force representing the Primary Instruction was worth 1,000 Karma points; the needed Karma points for the first six strikes varied from 800 to 1,000; but the last strike needed 2,400 Karma points; and the derived eighth and ninth strikes were at the ordinary Dharmakaya level.
If he planed to use the Seven Purple Thunderstrikes, he had to learn "Purple Thunder Force" first. However, he did not have to major in it but could treat it as a Dharma Access alone. With the assistance of the "thunderbolt mark" and "Nine Annihilation at Heavenly Nights", he could get a better result than majoring in it.
In other words, he had to spend almost 2,000 Karma points...Meng Qi badly hated to part with his Karma points which were saved up after innumerable hardships. But he had to take this step because the frequently-used Ananda Oath-breaking Bladesmanship was a big hidden trouble. If he often used it to cut his opponents, he would become a real monk one day, for his hair would gradually be lost by misgivings from the hidden troubles. Let alone Ananda was still alive in the Samsara.
"'Purple Thunder Force' is worth 1,000 Karma points and the fifth move of 'Violent Thunder Shocking the Sky' 1,000." Meng Qi made up his mind to exchange for them. As unique skills, they were supposed to be extremely fierce rather than those for daily use.
"Jingle-jingle" Meng Qi seemed to have heard the sounds of his falling coins and heartbreaking. He directly picked up the scripts.
The Karma points for the impartation of the Gist of Trueness and the script impartation were almost the same. The only trouble was that he might learned nothing from the impartation of the Gist of Trueness. Though Meng Qi had the fragmentary Gist of Trueness of "Nine Annihilation at Heavenly Nights", he did not dare to take the risk of having a try, because it might be a waste of his precious Karma points. However, if the fragmentary Gist of Trueness of "Nine Annihilation at Heavenly Nights" and thunderbolt mark could help him to cultivate the Purple Thunder Force and "Violent Thunder Shocking the Sky", he would basically grasp them within a year and form his own style.
Having browsed the script, Meng Qi put it away. He took out the script of the 5th and 6th passes of the Golden Bell Shield given by his Master, and exchanged for 300 Karma points with reluctance.
"What else will you like to exchange for?" Jiang Zhiwei was a little shocked, for Meng Qi still had more than 800 Karma points left.
Meng Qi looked at the enshrouding Central Light Pillar and replied, "The Enlightening the Apertures part of 'Eight Nine Mysteries'. I have to change the major method of kung fu before I reach to the Exterior."
Up to now, Meng Qi was equipped with a lot of miraculous kung fu such as "Nine Strategies Beyond the Swords" in his sword art, "Essence of Heavenly Knife" in his bladesmanship, "Thundering scream" used to suppress, "the Immortal Pressing Art" applied to group fighting, Hallucination Body Movements recorded in "the Immortal Pressing Art" for escaping. And this was the intact version of the "the Immortal Pressing Art" and included the seven immortal hallucinations. Meng Qi did not want to be greedy nor to be distracted. Only when he consummated the sixth pass of the Golden Bell Shield and opened his Mouth Acupore, could he cultivate its seventh. Thus, he could study and practice nothing else but these two skills within at least a year. That was why there was no kung fu especially in need for Meng Qi for the time being. Furthermore, he had just got a breakthrough with the assistance of Spiritual Core, making his foundation unstable. If he employed the elixir again, it would probably result in "burning" himself by the deficiency fire and destroying his foundation. Therefore, he had to bring the major of his kung fu method into routine.
"Eight Nine Mysteries?" Zhang Yuanshan, Luo Shengyi and the others blurted out. Since this Divine Skill was listed on the top of the Exchange List, everyone were bound to notice it!
With the Eight Nine Mysteries, he would be an eternal Tao if he wanted to become a Taoist, and if he became enlightened about Buddha, he would be the Golden Body of Bodhi. That was to say, he would not be defiled, nor purified and would not be reproduced, nor destroyed. His body would be sanctified and never be damaged through thousands of disasters. He would be a superhuman, mastering the changes of the heaven and earth, changeable and adept at avoiding disasters. Of course, he would be not only infinitely resourceful but also incredibly powerful.


I care not of my past and neither of my future.
Conquering all heroes and foes while looking with disdain at the horrors of the Samsara, I yearn only for a life of thrilling wonders!
History will repeat itself after many ages as the menace of the Great Calamity rises once more.
Which will rise with triumph in the face of adversity; the Golden Form of the Great Buddha or the invincible Heavenly Taoist Form?
Which will seize all glory amidst all struggles; The Buddha's Palms or the  Seven Strokes of Heaven's Interception?
From the sanctum of the Shaolin Temple, Meng Qi's adventures and struggles through the Samsara begin as we follow his climb to claim the title of "the Unrivaled and the Invincible One"!


Next day morning.

At the main bedroom of a luxurious villa in Beijing, you can see a couple sleeping peacefully. Well at least until now...

A small shadow slowly open the door, looking inside and seeing the couple sleeping, he looks somewhat dissatisfied.

'It's already 7 AM, why are they still sleeping, don't they know that a young child usualy awakes very early...?'

Slowly pulling a chair near the simmons bed and seeing the distance, a small smile start to show on his face.

'Since you don't woke up I'll hep then.'

With this he jumps on the bed, aiming more for his father's side.

"Mom, dad, wake up!! You're sleeping too much!"

"AAAARRGGHHHHHH!! FENG'ER, WHY DID YOU JUMP ON US WHILE WE WERE SLEEPING!!"

As he was aiming more for his father side it also resulted on his father having to spend the day with sore muscles.

At the side, his now fully awake mother was bursting in laugh watching this scene. Going to his mother embrace Ye Feng tilted his head to the said and said with a pure innocent expression.

"What you're talking about dad? Yesterday it was you who said that if you slept too much was to wake you up because you had a meeting today morning and you always sleep too much on weekends."

"But that doesn't means that you had to jump on me to wake me up, Feng'er couldn't you just shake my arm like anyone would do?"

"Ehhhh.... but that's what I was doing for a long, long time and you still didn't woke up..."

Su Mei still laughing looking at her husband and son interaction decide to stop it, otherwise her husband might really be late.

"Okay you two that's enough, and dear it's already 7:20 AM, your meeting it's at 9AM wich means...?"

"WHAT?!?! I really have to go, otherwise I'll really gonna be late and lose that building in Jizhou!"

After that, the Ye father quickly went to wash himself and trade his clothes. While Su Mei took her little boy to help him change and clean himself too. After brushing his teeth...

"Now Feng'er, can you tell me why did you jumped that way? You know you could hurt yourself?"

Lowering his head he replied.

"Sorry mommy."

"It's good that you know that you're wrong, just don't do that again, next time you can just throw a cup of water on your father's face if he doesn't wake up."

"But father will be angry again!"

While heavily blushing she said.

"Who told him to have a sleep so heavy it's his fault."

"Eh... mommy you're fine? Your face is red! I'll call daddy!"

Snapping out of her small daze she quickly called him.

"Come back here your brat, finish changing and go to downstairs to have breakfast."

A little later, after his father left, only Su Mei and a few maids was left in the house.

"Mommy I want to read a book."

'Now it's the best time to do this, also it's better if mother thinks that I'm simply learning fast instead of simply showing her that I know how to read.'

Looking at her son expectant eyes she ask him.

"Then, what my little Feng'er want to read?"

"I want to read the books in father office."

Laughing lightly, Su Mei looks with a loving eyes at her son.

"No you can't read that books those are too difficult for you  I'll bring you a children story."

"Okay... but mommy I want to read alone!"

With a somewaht amused look, she asks.

"And do you know how to read Feng'er?"

"No... but mommy can teach me pleash..."

While talking he ends biting his tongue.

'Damm child body, it'll take time for me don't make these low level mistakes." T_T

"Of course I can dear, however we will begin with something easy, I'll get some books and notebooks to teach you, I'll be right back."

With that she goes to their home office.

'With this I'll be able to start reading some history books that show the differences between the two worlds, when I become 4 years old I'll ask to go to a kung fu dojo, Wing Chun should be pretty good and if I'm luck maybe I can find a Xingyi Fist one.'

I had a boring life, around my teens I found something I really liked, worked hard to reach my goal, made money, helped my parents, created my own family, but when finally reached my goal... a damm terrorist atack?! Seriously?! Not even the truck-kun in legend?! I just wanted to create my perfect game!!! haaaa.... what will happens to me now...? I hope still be able to play my 'Revolution Era'

"Why, you could not have possibly heard of this poem?" Ling Chongxiao asked after seeing the expression on Shen Lian’s face.
"I think so, I did. Was it by a Daoist with the surname, Wang?"
"That I am not sure. I recalled the Founding Master mentioned that he saw a tiny row of words at the end of the poem, it says, "my old friend Saffron had left, but his words shall remain, my heart would be like that of Jizi", but the person who left the words signed off as "Li".
The Founding Master thought, the poem was left by someone named "Saffron", but the person who signed off as "Li" was an old friend of Saffron. As for Jizi, the Founding Master had no idea what was it about.
The Founding Master was straightening out his confusion when he picked up a hint of blood from the scent of plum blossoms. When he turned to look, his limbs immediately weakened in fear. A tiger was right behind of him.
The dragons dwell amidst the clouds, whilst the tigers dwell amidst the wind. The corner of the tiger’s big eyes was upturned, and there were white stripes on its forehead.
After staring at the Founding Master, the tiger leaped for him.
The Founding Master took a few steps back in fear. What happened then left him in shock. The tiger did not land on top of him but was held in mid-air by an invisible rope.
"Who are you, and why have you come?" A child with a crisp voice queried.
The Founding Master saw the tiger being lowered onto the other side, and a young female child was sitting on its back. The girl had her hair tied, and was holding onto a jade green flute.
The girl looked around six to seven of age, and her skin was clear. Her exposed wrist could be akin to the frost and the snow, and she looked like the moon shining brightly on a quiet night. The way she spoke was the same as an adult, and she held a flute in her hand.
"Were you the one who was playing the flute?" The Founding Master asked curiously.
"Ah, so you are one of the normal humans who have stumbled into the mountains by mistake. I shall deal with you later."
Out of a sudden, ten red lines started closing in from the northwestern sky.
"Li Qingshui, I must send you back into the karmic cycle today." The person who was amidst the red lines spoke lowly.
The girl was staring at the red lines, and she took a glance at the Founding Master. A black cloud emerged underneath the tiger she was sitting on, and it flew towards the red lines.
Thunders were roaring in the northwestern sky, and rays of five colors crisscrossed with numerous red lines.
It was not until the sun was about to rise that the commotion ceased.
There was a stone house in the plum forest that the Founding Master was in. He waited till sunrise, yet the girl was nowhere to be found. However, he found a scroll of painting, three books of scripture, and a wooden fish in the stone house.
The girl did not return. The Founding Master left the stone house with the items he found. He did not walk towards the north-west, but he walked towards the south-east direction instead. He did not know how big the mountain was, the Founding Master walked for ten over days before he managed to get back to the sea on the south-east. He carefully practiced the martial exercises on the beach. When he had reached a certain level of attainment, he made a wooden raft and went back to the mainland.
"Now you finally know where the Shenzu Scripture came from," Ling Chongxiao said with a smile.
"The Shenzu Scripture was one of the secret texts that he found? And the wooden fish is the one that you are carrying?" Shen Lian queried softly.
"Good guess. Among the three scriptures, one was called Mingyu martial art, and one was called Shenzu Scripture". Both of them have their similarities, but Mingyu martial art was scarier. Both require the cultivator to have great potential. The only difference is that the stronger Mingyu martial art is actually incomplete. The man in green always thought the Master to favor me more, but actually, the Master knew him too well. He was aggressive and extreme. If he were to practice Mingyu martial art, he would do himself more harm than good. This was why the Master passed the perfected and completed Shenzu Scripture to him instead.
In terms of potential, it is undeniable that I have greater potential than him. The Master hoped that I could complete this Kung Fu, and pass it on to the future apprentices.
Throughout these years, I did learn something. With this Kung Fu, I managed to attain what the Daoist called "taming the white tiger", and I could preserve my youth. However, to complete this masterpiece is beyond my capabilities.
I have wasted a lot of my time for this, which is why I do not plan to pass the Mingyu Scripture on to you, for fear of wasting your time.
Also, my experience tells me that although the Mingyu Scripture is profound, it shares a similar origin with the Shenzu Scripture. Both are of authentic Xuanmen.
If you managed to cultivate the Shenzu Scripture to the highest level, you will benefit greatly, and the path of immortality will not be far."
After hearing everything from Ling Chongxiao, Shen Lian remembered the Shenzu Scripture actually appeared in one of Jin Yong’s novels. On the other hand, there was another book titled "The Daoist Drifting in the Wuxia World". The main protagonist created a version of Kung Fu named Shenzu Scripture.
Even though he loved the novel, he only managed to read three volumes of it.
He wanted to read the novel when the completed volumes of the novel were published, but it would seem that he would not have the chance to do so.
He wondered if there was a connection between all these. But how could the plot of a novel reconcile with his current predicament? That would be too hard to believe.
Novels are, after all, works of fiction. His journey to the foreign realm was the reality.
"Could the third scripture be, the Deity Vanquishing Sword Scripture?"
Shen Lian spoke slowly.
"Indeed. The Deity Vanquishing Sword is strong, and it is beyond the likes of martial arts found in Jianghu. If anything, it is more similar to Celestial arts. However, from the Founding Master onwards, everyone who has practiced it died an unnatural death. This is why the apprentices are prohibited from practicing it. When the man in green passed it on to you, he probably did not want this swordcraft masterpiece to be lost. Though he probably was brewing something evil, and did not pass it on out of goodwill."
Ling Chongxiao snickered and thought, in this world, he was the one who knew the man in green best. However, after the incident with the man in green, Ling Chongxiao could not be bothered to restore his sect. Since the meeting with Shen Lian was a fated one, he might as well pass the Kung Fu on to him, just so that the martial arts of his sect would not be lost.
"Destiny does not scare me, traditions do not bind me," Shen Lian replied. Those who practiced Deity Vanquishing Sword died unnaturally due to the deficiency in their spirit. Their over-reliance on the skill, when faced with strong enemies, caused irreversible damages to their spirit. What good would recovery do when they kept dealing damage to their spirit, to the point where they got more and more extreme? In the end, they either destroy the world or destroy themselves.
The reason why the man in green was so extreme was probably due to his character, but the Deity Vanquishing Sword was likely to have something to do with it.
Cultivation must be for the sake of self-protection. He must not indulge in killing and winning. If he were to cultivate, he must first cultivate his heart. If he could not even control his heart and let his heart do whatever it wanted, that would not be the right way of immortality.
For three nights, Ling Chongxiao explained to Shen Lian everything about cultivation.
In the end, he left without bidding farewell to Shen Lian. A letter was all that he left behind, and he did not tell Shen Lian where he could find him.
It was the morning of the reopening of Shen Lian’s inn. There was no grand ceremony.
The name "Tongfu Inn" was changed to "An Inn".
On the right door pillar, it said: "Cultured guests frequent here".
The pillar on the left said, "Unrefined guests are always welcome."
