Jonah (POV) 

Today I woke up very late due to yesterday's party and now I am driving my car faster than usual when I saw Ariana who was running towards the direction of the school. She doesn't have a bicycle with her then I slowed the car, I called her name. When she heard me calling she walked towards me saying she wants a ride and I had to ask the same question but she asked first so I simply said to hop in. 

"Even you are late for the school," she asked While I was driving.

"Yes, due to the yesterday party" I replied with a shrugged.

"But I have enjoyed yesterday party" I smile at her before replying. 

"Same here" I replied while seeing her and then again concentrating on the road. I parked the car after reaching school and we both started to run to the class. After reaching there we saw Ms. Patterson was already teaching. When she saw both of us she stopped and all the candidates' heads turn towards me. 

"You both are late Mr. Wright and Ms. Gonzales" she announced with a stern voice.

"Sorry, Ms. Patterson" Ariana and I said in unison. 

"This is the first time that you both came late so, I am forgiving you both but from next time you both will have detention" we nodded at her strict voice.

I sat in my usual place and saw a familiar face and then I recognized her. She was my friend in a previous school but why she is here? I asked myself.

I started concentrating on my class. After having classes for four hours continuously we had lunch so Ariana, Rain, Lisa were waiting for me because they were already packed their bags and I just completed taking notes. I thought about why they always finish taking notes so quickly because the class was just finished.

"Jonah!!" someone called me.

"Yes" I replied and immediately saw the person and she was my old friend. 

"Come on I will introduce you to my new friends," I said to her and grabbed her hand. They already left for the canteen after announcing me. I started dragging her to my usual lunch table. I saw Ariana and then I headed towards them. 

"Jonah, Who is she??" Rain asked with a hint of confusion on his face.

" well.....She is Salina Davis my previous school friend and Salina these are my new friends Rain Skyler, Ariana Gonzales and Lisa Pelt" I replied pointing each of them and when I saw Ariana and Lisa they were still confused and giggling with each other but I didn't ask anything because it doesn't look fair to interfere between two girls talking so I started eating after a few minutes Ace came to our table with a chair because the chairs here are not sufficient so he brought a chair from another table and kept the chair beside Ariana where someplace was empty. He first greeted her and then us. 

"Ariana, I made this sandwich at home do you want to try," he asked Ariana pushing his tiffin to her side.

"Oh..." she was going to say something but I interrupted her saying "I want to try your sandwich" 

"Ok, take this" he gave me the sandwich. I took one sandwich and kept in my mouth and it was really delicious.

"How is it??" he asked in curiosity.

"It's good" I replied.

"Then let me try," Ariana said, and then she took one sandwich and started eating. 

"Umm... it's delicious" she replied to Ace and somewhere I got jealous.

I saw Salina who was staring at me while eating her food but I ignored her because even in a previous school she used to do the same thing. One day I even asked her about this but she didn't reply to anything. I turned my head in front and saw Ace trying to impress Ariana and then finally the bell rang saying the time for the next class. We all stood up and went to our respective classes and today it was painting class so, it was only Ariana, Rain and I but today it was also Salina but I don't know why she chooses painting class because she doesn't know painting and also in the previous school she didn't take painting but I saw her painting in her room when she called me for help in doing homework so, it was me and Ian who was my best friend who went to her house. After reaching in painting classroom we sat in our respective places and in a few minutes, Ms. James entered the room and told us to start painting which was hanged on the wall. 

Ariana (P.O.V) 

Today's day was quite different because today was the first time I was late to the school and thank god I didn't receive the detention or any assignments to do. I saw Jonah's one of the friends and I can't believe he has such a rude friend because Lisa and I recognized her she was the same girl who pushed us by her shoulder which was yesterday that what we were murmuring during our lunch break. Today Ace was different and I didn't know he makes the best sandwich I have ever eaten. He also said to me he knows so many dishes to cook and I was quite impressed because I'm a foodie but I also saw Salina who was always staring at Jonah and he didn't ask her why she is staring at him that much. I am now in my room watching a TV show and suddenly my phone rang I saw the caller ID and it was Ace. I thought about why he is calling me after three-ring I answered the call.

"Hello!!" I greeted. 

"What are you doing?" he asked and I don't know why he is asking me that question?

"Watching TV serials. Why?" I replied with a shrugged.

"I am cooking Lasagna, do you want to try," he asked with a nervous voice. 

"Actually I was not well on Saturday because of lasagna and if I eat lasagna I won't stop so, I will pass" I replied.

"You should have told me if you were not fine," he said with a sad tone. I don't know why he is behaving like that? 

"But you are not a doctor" I reminded.

"But I could have to comfort you," he said but it looks weird to me.

"it's ok if we're not there because I didn't have too much ache and Jonah was there to help me because he had antacid so with that I was well" I replied and took a small pause.

"If anything happens to you next time do call me I will be there for you," he said. 

"Okay...then I think my dad is back I will hang now" I lied because Dad comes always before me and I lied because his words were too creepy and again I started to watch TV serials, after half an hour again my phone rang and it was Jonah.

"What are you doing?" He asked me and a déjà vu hit me. 

"Watching TV serials" I replied with a nervous laugh. 

"Instead of watching TV serials you should revise your syllabus" he suggested.

"Why do you care?" I asked 

"Actually I don't care but I am your monitor so you should listen to me" I huff at his words. 

"You are monitor in class not at home" I reminded.

"If you don't do well then you can't get good into University with a scholarship so you should start studying from now," he said I just got irritated so I hanged the call and went to the hall and sat on the couch thinking about his words, at some point he was right but still it's none of his business. After a few minutes, the doorbell rang and I got up to open the door. After opening it was Jonah who brought his school bag with him and I saw behind him Lisa and Rain were standing behind him carrying their bags making me frown. 

"What do you want guys?" I tilted my head in confusion. 

"We decided to do combine study" Lisa replied and they came in. 

"When did I agreed with you guys?" I asked.

"We thought you won't agree so we came without your permission sorry for that" Rain replied and they all sat on the couch.

"Why did you thought I won't agree with you guys?" I asked them.

"Because you hanged the call without saying anything" Lisa replied.

"What is going on can anyone explain me?" I asked and I saw Jonah opening his book and looked at me before speaking.

"It was conference call" he replied and my jaw dropped.

"Why didn't you said first that it was conference call?" I asked with a disbelief look.

"You hanged the call" he replied seeing me and I simply said oh because now I don't have any words to say.

"Now go and get your books" Jonah stated.

"Ok fine" I decided to stop arguing and did what he said.

"Give me your today's notes" I asked.

"What about your notes"

"I didn't take down" I sincerely replied.

"For now I lend you but next time you should have to take down" he commanded while giving me his notes.

After studying two hours continuously not having any break, I started to get tired, and then dad shouted from the kitchen that dinner is ready and he brought chicken wings to the dining table. I immediately got up and went to wash my hand when dad spoke. 

"Come on kids get up y'all are studying continuously from two hours now have dinner" dad announced making every one rush to the dining table. Dad chuckles while seeing the reaction. 

All of them got up and went to the kitchen to wash their hands and after washing hands, we all sat on the dining table. I sat between Jonah and dad while Lisa and Rain sat opposite to us after that we started to eat while talking. After having dinner three of them went to their respective houses and I went to my room to sleep because today I really got tired. 

Ariana Gonzales is a girl who doesn’t like to read books. When she has exams she studies and passed the exams with the passing grades. Instead of studying she likes to do painting and she likes sports. Her dream is to become cartoonist.

Brian was pleased with the results and guided me to Patterson; he was going to test my agility and fielding. The first test was 60 yard dash, I wasn't too worried about speed as it was one of my best qualities. Patterson also tested my arm strength, accuracy and reaction speed. After patterson had gotten results, he handed a sheet to the head coach. After looking at the sheet, coach looked straight at me and chuckled to himself. "Everyone gather round!" Coach belowed. "We are going to play a match."
He started telling us who was in the team that was batting second,

"Tyler and Hudson will not be participating in the match, I don't want it to be too one-sided" Coach announced to the the team, I presume Hudson is the captain. "Coach you should let us play, this match will be interesting." Tyler exclaimed. Coach looked confused about why it would be interesting but he just ignored Tyler. 
Mike was on the mound ready to pitch, I was at the center field but could still hear murmurs about how weak I looked. The top-half of the inning went smoothly, there were no hits. It was our turn to bat now, Alijah got a hit on his third attempt  he advanced to first base. Anthony kept fouling Alex until he got a walk, he advanced to first base and Alijah went on to second base. David got struck out, there were two runners on base and it was my turn to bat. Alex looked nervous, he knew that I hit most of his pitches last time. Hopefully he didn't figure out in bad at breaking balls. Alex got into a windup postion and the ball was a fastball right down the center. "Crack!" the ball flew right over the fence, we successfuly got a three-run homer. All the players that were talking about me had their mouth wide open, "Told you coach." Tyler laughed at how even coach was suprised, I guess Brian didn't tell coach about my batting. Mike and Kane got struck out straight away so the inning was over. The top-half of the next inning was the same as the first inning, no hits. Our bottom of the line-up was batting, all three of them got struck out straight away. The game carried on the same as before, I got three homers so we just needed one more hit at the bottom-half of the fifth inning to mercy rule. Mike's pitching got better throughout the game and the other team got more nervous due to my homers, so having no hits was quite easy for Mike. A senior with blonde hair was up first to bat, I think his name was Anthony. He was a good batter and it was the top of our line-up so it was pretty much confirmed we would mercy rule the other team. Alex was nervous as hell up on the mound, you could see his legs shaking. He threw the ball right down the center at a slow speed, such an easy hit especially for someone like Anthony. "Crack!" The ball flew way over the Alex's head and Anthony ran to second base. David bought Anthony home with a clean hit to right field. We mercy ruled them 10-0, our team was ecstatic however the other team members lost confindence in their skill especially Alex who let up three homers. "Should I have gone easy on them? I feel like I've just broken a toy." I asked Tyler. "It just toughens them up." Coach replied in Tyler's stead, "I think it's fair to say you can join the varsity team." He smirked at me before leaving.

By the time Chris, Tyler and I got home from practise it was already quite late (Chris is in the JV, he wanted to join varsity this year but his coaches said he wasn't good enough yet) As we sat down for dinner, Robert started to make an announcement, "We are going to be taking in another foster child on Thursday." The whole table went silent, "She's a senior just like you Aubrey, hopefully you can get along." (Aubrey is Tyler's older sister) Aubrey nodded, she seems to be a silent person. "Tyler, since you have the biggest room would you mind Isaac sleeping in the same room as you? We will put her in the room Isaac is staying in." Mary continued the conversation. "Sure!" Tyler immediately confirmed. "Alright after dinner you can help Isaac start moving his stuff, you already have a bunk bed in your room so he can sleep their tonight." Mary didn't wait for reply, she just ushered us upstairs. Chris was being more quite than usual, he's probably acting nice so he dosen't get grounded longer
"Do you really not mind me staying here?" I Inquired, my lips curled downwards. "Of course not, it's nice to finally have someone to talk to; Chris is a moron and Aubrey just keeps to herself."  Tyler explained excitedly, "You're also better at baseball in some aspects, you can teach me some tricks." We moved some of my belongings into his room before having a shower, after that we finished our homework. I slept on the top bunk whilst Tyler carried on doing his school work; as he was in higher classes he had more work to do .

Isaac Walker who is a talented batter was in a car crash as a freshman, both his parents died and he surferred serious injuries. He moved in with a new foster family and he started playing baseball once again.
He befriends Tyler Robinson who is from his new foster family, after only three weeks of staying with the Robinsons Isaac's uncle takes custody of him and they move away.

In terms of both furnishings and layout, this estate was definitely first rate.

Linley was particularly fond of the Hot Springs Garden.

The Hot Springs Garden within the estate was the place where his Majesty would engage in training when he lived here. Clayde was a warrior of the ninth rank. In order to become such a mighty warrior, naturally he didn’t rely solely on his personal ability. He also spent years of painstaking effort.

The right half of the Hot Springs Garden was covered of a large, grassy area, filled with all sorts of exercise equipment.

On the left side of the Hot Springs Garden, next to a man-made hill, was a hot springs pool. The hot springs within this pool came naturally from underground. After a day of wild training, spending some time relaxing in the hot springs pool definitely was a godly, wonderful feeling.

Linley was currently bathing nude within the pool. The bubbling hot water rushed against his skin, making Linley feel so comfortable that his eyes began to close.

“Boss, when are we going to kill that Patterson guy? Last night, during the dinner, I really wanted to kill him for you already.” Bebe hopped out of the pool, all the fur on his body wet.

“Don’t be impatient.”

Exiting the hot springs, Linley changed into a clean set of training clothes, then walked over to the grassy area while beginning to mumble the words to a spell. After a few moments, an earthen glow began to cover the ground beneath Linley in a certain area as earth elemental essence began to swirl about him.

Earth-style magic – Supergravity Field.

Linley immediately leapt into the air, then inverted himself, head pointed down, feet pointing up. Using his two hands, he kept himself upright. Next, he moved to holding himself up with just one finger on each hand. Relying on just one finger, under the pressure of the Supergravity Field, Linley began to push himself up and down.

“One. Two…”

Linley counted silently. Each time he reached a thousand, Linley would change to a different finger.

The most important thing for a fighter was the quality of his body. Only a strong body would be able to accommodate a high amount of battle-qi. Only through this method would he be able to quickly grow strong! Even though he was now a Dragonblood Warrior, he still needed to maintain his daily training regime.

“Hrm?”

After training for about half an hour, Linley returned to the normal upright position. Linley stared coldly at the attractive female attendant who had just entered the Hot Springs Garden, carrying a tray with tea and fruit on top of it.

“My…my lord, this is your tea and fruit.” The female attendant was made somewhat uneasy by Linley’s stare, and she stammered a bit.

“Who instructed you to come in?” Linley said coldly.

The female attendant started. Stammering, she said, “Milord, I…I was worried that you were thirsty.”

“Thirsty?” Linley glanced at her expressionlessly.

“Attend to me!” Linley shouted.

Instantly, four burly warriors rushed in from outside the Hot Springs Garden. These four warriors all belonged to the Radiant Church. After all, the Radiant Church had dispatched over a hundred knights to safeguard Linley.

“Mercy, milord!” The attendant was so scared, she fell to her knees.

In the Yulan continent, nobles had a much higher status than commoners, especially high ranking nobles, who could casually kill a commoner without repercussion. As for Linley, whom even the king of the Kingdom of Fenlai treated courteously, without question Linley was one of the highest ranking nobles in the Kingdom of Fenlai.

Linley glanced at the attendant. In a cold voice, he said, “Remember, in the future, when I am in the Hot Springs Garden, no one is permitted entry. Anyone who does enter will be punished with twenty strikes of the military rod.”

“Twenty strikes of the rod?” The attendant’s face turned pale.

Military rods were extremely heavy. Even most muscular warriors would not be able to move for ten days or half a month after receiving twenty strikes of a military rod. A physically weak female attendant might very well die from such a beating.

“Mercy, milord, mercy!” The female attendant hurriedly pled.

Linley continued, “Since this is your first time committing this offense, I sentence you to twenty lashes of a rattan whip. If you make this mistake again, I definitely will not be merciful.”

“Thank you milord! Thank you milord!” The female attendant felt relieved.

In terms of pain, the strikes from a rattan whip might even be more painful than that of the military rod, but it would cause nothing more than a superficial wound. It wouldn’t cause any harm to the bones or to the organs. It would hurt, but it wouldn’t kill.

“Remove her.” Linley ordered the four warriors.

“Yes, Lord Linley.” Two of the warriors stepped forward, pulling the attendant away and frog-marching her out. As for the tea and the fruit on the tray, those were all left on the floor.

Linley turned and once more returned to the grassy area.

The Bloodviolet Godsword was one of Linley’s secret weapons. Although whenever he trained with it, Linley usually made sure to keep it straight and hard, on occasion, Linley would also let it remain flexible and wield it in a bizarre, flowing manner. Linley had to make certain that this secret of the Bloodviolet Godsword was not discovered by anyone.

Naturally, he could not allow anyone to watch him train.

With his right hand, Linley stroked his waist. Instantly, with a cold, violet flash, an extremely thin, violet blade appeared in Linley’s hands.

“Swish!”

From within the Hot Springs Garden, one ray of violet light after another began to appear, while Linley roved back and forth within the garden like a wandering dragon. Having totally merged the support of the wind-style Supersonic spell with his own power, not only was Linley’s movement speed fast, it was also extremely agile.

Through the usage of the Secret Dragonblood Manual, Linley trained his body. When he was relaxed, he would engage in the carving of sculptures to raise his spiritual energy, while he would enter the meditative trance in the middle of the hot springs to refine his mageforce.

His training permeated his every daily activity.

Only, Linley still had not been able to find the best time to make his move against Patterson. After all, he had relatively few encounters with Patterson. If Linley went directly to Patterson’s manor, or Patterson came to Linley’s residence, once Linley killed Patterson, within perhaps just half a day, King Clayde would know what had happened.

No matter how great Linley’s potential was, if he murdered King Clayde’s own brother, Clayde definitely would not be gentle with him.

Within the main hall, Linley was gracefully eating lunch.

After he finished his lunch, Linley once again began thinking about Patterson. “This Patterson fellow hasn’t come to visit me at all. Seems like I’ll have to personally pay a visit.” Linley decided to no longer be the hunter setting a snare for the rabbit. He would head directly to the Patterson manor.

“Milord.” Just at this moment, an attendant ran over from outside. “Milord, Lord Cardinal Guillermo of the Radiant Church has arrived.”

“Guillermo?”

Linley’s body trembled, and then he immediately headed for the door, going out to personally welcome Guillermo.

Within the main hall.

“Linley, I hear that recently, your life has been leisurely and carefree. Every day, either you are training, resting in the hot springs, or engaging in stonesculpting. This sort of life really makes one envious of you.” Guillermo said with a laugh to Linley.

Linley nodded and laughed as well.

“But Linley.” Guillermo said solemnly, “I must remind you that although your sculptures are worth money, the thing which truly determines a person’s status is power! Just look at that nearby Debs clan. Don’t they have money? But in terms of status, they are inferior to you.”

Linley understood this rationale as well.

True, money was a useful thing.

But when one’s power reached a certain level, the uses of money would grow fewer and fewer. For example, to a Saint-level combatant, money was nothing more than a worldly possession. This was also why the Dawson Conglomerate had been willing to offer a hundred million gold coins to acquire Linley and have him join them.

To these trading unions, the support of a super-combatant was simply too vital.

“Lord Guillermo, I thank you for your reminder.” Linley said with a smile.

Linley didn’t say, of course, that it was stonesculpting that was the true reason behind him becoming a seventeen year old dual-element magus of the seventh rank.

“I’m just making small talk. After all, when you need to rest, you should.” Guillermo glanced at one of the Vicars behind him, who immediately opened the package he had been carrying on his back. After opening the silver-white package, a stone case was revealed within.

The Vicar then placed this stone case between Linley and Guillermo.

“Lord Guillermo, this is?” Linley already had an idea as to what this was.

Guillermo laughed with self-satisfaction. “Linley. Open it up yourself.”

Linley slowly opened the stone case, lifting up the lid. Within the stone case, there were two tomes made from silk thread. Both of these two tomes appeared to be colored a dark gold color.”

“This is?…” Linley looked towards Guillermo.

“Linley, didn’t I previously say that I was going to give to you books regarding magical incantations for wind-style and earth-style spells? That’s what these two tomes are.” Guillermo laughed.

Linley couldn’t help but feel excited.

Magical incantations and the proper method by which one cast the spell were both very important. Otherwise, even if one had enough spiritual energy and mageforce, one still wouldn’t be able to cast more powerful spells.

Linley immediately withdrew one of the two books and opened it up.

“Wind-style!” Upon reading the first page, Linley saw that the first page was a general summary regarding this tome.

After the summary, it began to describe one wind-style spell after another. This tome explained everything in great detail, and also clearly explained what to focus on for every single spell.

Linley flipped directly to the section on spells of the seventh rank.

Linley felt astonishment as he read about one powerful, intricately designed spell after another. Linley had to admit, the bygone people who had invented these spells in the past were, without a doubt, absolute geniuses.

“Spell of the ninth rank – Windshadow Technique. It was derived from a combination of the ‘Supersonic’ spell and the ‘Airwings’ spell. It possesses the special effects given by the Airwings spell, great speed, and great agility. It can be described as perfect…”

Seeing the deep, in-depth explanation of the Windshadow spell within this tome, Linley felt all the more excited.

A brand new world of magic was beginning to open up in front of him.

In the future, with his prowess in earth-style and wind-style magic, as well as the power of a Dragonblood Warrior, his future offensive potential would be enough to cause anyone to shudder in their heart.

Seeing how Linley had become totally absorbed with these magical tomes, Guillermo didn’t make a sound as he quietly left by himself.

Within the Hot Springs Garden.

Linley was seated cross-legged on the grass, all of his muscles and bones quivering as that special Dragonblood battle-qi was permeating every part of his body with its force, causing Linley’s entire body to experience a constant strengthening.

“Boss, Patterson will be arriving tonight. You still are in the mood to train?” Bebe mumbled, lying next to Linley.

Linley opened his eyes and looked at Bebe.

“In the mood?”

Linley felt bitter in his heart. Early this morning, that Duke Patterson had sent word via messenger that tonight, he wanted to come have a one-on-one visit with Linley. As the Minister of Finance, naturally Duke Patterson felt the need to have good relations with all the other important nobles. These past few days, he had been handling and worrying over the issue of illegally mining and smuggling water jade, which was why he hadn’t had the time to visit Linley yet.

“I’m not in the mood, no, but I must train. Only when I have enough strength will I have confidence.” Linley said to himself.

Per his current plans.

Within the next half year, he would kill Patterson as well as find out who the person behind Patterson was.

After finding out who the person behind Patterson was, Linley would, before the next anniversary of his father’s death, find out what happened to his mother, or kill the person behind Patterson.

“Swish! Swish!”

“Ahhhh!” Outside the Hot Springs Garden, a miserable scream.

With a leap, Linley jumped atop the man-made hill within the Hot Springs Garden. Standing on the top of the hill, he could clearly see that the bodies of those ten or so Knights of the Radiant Church had begun to decay. They screamed in agony nonstop as their blood began to stain the ground.

At the same time, from every direction, a dense black fog began to billow at high speed towards the Hot Springs Garden. Wherever this black fog passed, everything, be it animal or human, would begin to corrode, then die.

Linley looked up into the sky.

The sky above him, as well, was now covered with that dense black fog. The surrounding black fog swept towards him at high speed.

“Someone’s here.”

Linley could sense that within that dense black fog, there were several black blurs that were charging towards him at high speed.

At this moment, there was nowhere for Linley to flee!

“Haaaargh!”

At a high speed, Linley descended from the man-made and, as though he were a fish, jumped into the hot springs pool.

"Hailey, why did you do that? What if that girl got really mad and ask someone to beat you up for doing that to her." Emily whispered anxiously to Hailey as both of them got into their seats. "What are you going to do then?"

"Well, I'll think about it when it happens." She replied as she sank into her seat and stretched.

"What? No. You might get hurt, she wi--" Just before Emily could finished their form teacher, Miss Wallen cleared her throat and shouted, "Everyone! Please settle down!"

The class took note of the her presence and the students sauntered back to their seats. 

She placed down her books and continued, "That's much better. So class, I would like to introduce two new transferred students."

Two well-groomed students walked through the door. One of them was a petite looking girl with green eyes and hazelnut hair that was tied neatly into a lace braided bun. Her skin was clear, which indicated healthy skin and she was smiling brightly while she introduced herself, "I'm Mary Miller. Nice to meet all of you, I hope we can all be friends!"

Just as she finished her introduction, she looked over and made eye contact with Emily. Emily quickly turned away as she felt a sense of discomfort and uneasiness.

The guy next to Mary had dark brown hair with a reddish tint to it and amber coloured eyes. He was almost six feet tall and his hair was styled like how most guy will style it, nothing out of the original. But, he was definitely better looking than most male celebrities. He introduced himself with a slight yet soft smile, in order to hide his shyness, "I'm Beck Oliver."

There was a moment of silence as the class expected him to continue talking, but it seems like he had no idea what to say next. He stood there awkwardly while rubbed the back of his neck, "So... Yeah... Um..." He looked at the Miss Wallen as if to ask for help.

Emily almost felt bad for him. She could understand how difficult it was to stand in front of a crowd, because she personally hated it as well.

"So yeah, I hope the class can help both of them if they ever need help. You two can go to your seats now, right next to Miss Patterson." Miss Wallen said as she pointed to the two empty seats next to Emily.

She felt a wave of anxiety as the two walked towards her to get to their seats. "I hope nothing weird will happen again." She thought to herself. 

Just as she thought about that, they stopped in front of Emily's desk.

"Dammit. Something weird is going to happen, right?" She looked up hesitantly and said, "Um, your seats are right there." Hoping that they are acting weirdly because they didn't know where their seats were.

Suddenly, both of them gave her the forty-five degree bow similar to the one she saw yesterday saying, "Good morning, Princess."

Emily was so shocked that she jumped out of her seat. 

Miss Wallen saw what happened and asked, "Miss Patterson, do you... know them?"

"No... I don't, Miss Wallen." She replied as her eyes were still widened from the shock. 

"Okay then. The three of you, sit down! Lesson is about to start." Miss Wallen ordered. The three of them followed, except Emily was still confused of what just happened.

Lessons still went on as usual, but she found it difficult to focus because of all the weirdness going on. She let her mind drifted for a while, when suddenly...

"MISS PATTERSON! IS MY CLASS THAT BORING?! OR IS IT THAT YOU ALREADY KNOW ALL THESE THINGS SO, YOU THINK YOU'RE ALLOW TO NOT LISTEN TO MY LESSON?!"

Emily grimaced.

"DON'T YOU DARE SHOW ME THAT FACE!"

"I'm sor--"

"ANSWER THIS QUESTION! SINCE YOU THINK YOU'RE THAT SMART!"

"Dammit."

That was Mr Robertson, he was one of the oldest Mathematics teachers in the school and he will always find opportunities to pick on students. Emily was not bad at mathematics but, she had no idea which question he was referring to, so she stood there with a confused look on her face.

All of the sudden, she heard a voice. 

"Z=6.00, Y=11.89 and X=59.77"

"What's the hell is that?" She thought when...

"SO MISS PATTERSON, THE ANSWER?" His cranky voice blasted through the classroom as disgusting grin was tugged at the side of his lips.

"Well, it's better to give an answer than to remain silent." She gave him the answer that she heard. "Z=6.00, Y=11.89 and X=59.77"

His eyes widened and embarrassment was written all over his face. That sight was just... Perfect.

"That's... correct. Sit down."

She sat down with her lips pursed, trying to hide the grin she had hanging at the side of her mouth. 

She looked over and saw one of the newly transferred students staring at her with a rather dazed look on his face. Beck noticed that she was looking directly at him and flustered as he quickly turned away.

Lessons were the same as always and she tried her best to focus, although there were many questions she had. "What was with that voice? Why did they called my 'Princess'? ...Are those people still after me?"

Emily Patterson, a 16-year-old, is just your typical girl. Until, she met a group of people who claim that she is their land's princess. Slowly, she made many new friends and learned many new things about her life, her friends and her family. On the other hand, she learned the truths about herself and goes through love, friendship, betrayal and bitter reality.


"This is your apartment?"
I grab a dirty T-shirt off the couch and stuff it behind a cushion. "Yes."
"Someone actually lives here?"
"Of course someone actually lives here. I live here! What's wrong with my apartment?" I scan my apartment, trying to see it through Jarrod's eyes. It's a small studio. A double bed is pushed up against the wall with a poster of Einstein as its headboard. The kitchenette is clean and tidy, but the table and two chairs next to it are covered in dirty cereal bowls and coffee mugs.
Most of the studio is filled up by my desk, a giant wood plank perched on cinder blocks. The desk is piled high with papers and reference books. Somewhere in the mess is my laptop. There's nothing out of the ordinary. It's a typical apartment of any Ph.D. student.
"It's just that it doesn't seem like an actual apartment. It looks like a broom closet," Jarrod says.
"I don't know what you're talking about. I don't even own a broom."
Jarrod walks the two steps to my desk and picks up a reference book. "Chemical species? Kind of heavy reading."
"Are you interested in chemical engineering? I can suggest some great books, if you want."
"That's okay. I'm more of a James Patterson kind of guy."
He takes a seat at the foot of my bed, and he pats the place next to him. I bite my lower lip. Is the foreplay over? Are we going to get right down to it now? I will my feet to walk over to him, but they don't obey. I'm frozen in place.
"When you said you've never done the big nasty, what exactly did that mean?" Jarrod asks. "Does that mean you've never...?"
"I've had sexual intercourse. But it was the normal kind. You know, with a boyfriend, somebody I knew for long time. He was a scientist in artificial intelligence."
"I see. So... it's just dawned on me that I don't know your name."
"Oh, I'm sorry. My name's Marie. Marie Foster."
"Marie, why don't you come sit down next to me? I promise I won't bite, unless you want me to."
I wonder if doing the big nasty usually includes biting. Perhaps there's a whole laundry list of things that men and women do that I never knew about. Maybe I should have researched this whole lifestyle before jumping into it. 
I decide to take a seat next to Jarrod. He's oozing so much sexy appeal that I'm sure that I can taste his pheromones on my tongue. 
Yum.
"Marie," he says.
"Yes. I'm named for Marie Curie, the physicist. My father was a big fan. He's a scientist, too."
"Didn't Marie Curie die from her experiments?"
"Yes. From radiation poisoning. Dad admired that. Devotion to her field of study."
Jarrod nods. "I gather that you're a scientist, too. What's your field of study? Should I worry about radiation poisoning?"
"I was working on a Ph.D. in fluid dynamics in momentum transfer of chemical species."
"That's a mouthful."
"But I'm not doing that anymore. That's the old me. Now I'm somebody totally different. I've turned over a new leaf. No more mouthfuls for me."
Jarrod grins. "Maybe just one more mouthful."
Now that Jarrod has asked personal questions, I feel that I'm allowed to ask him about himself. We know each other's names, but not much more than that.
"And you're Jarrod?"
"Jarrod Wright Sinclair, the third."
"That's a mouthful," I say, smiling.
Jarrod's face is so close to mine that we're almost touching. His eyes are the most glorious shade of blue. Dark. There's a lot of intelligence behind them.
"Indeed. I am a mouthful," he whispers. My arms sprout goose bumps, and I shudder.
"Do you want a cup of coffee? Aren't I supposed to offer you a drink?" I ask.
"You can offer me a drink afterward."
I swallow with difficulty. Afterward implies that a great event is about to happen. I'm at once nervous, apprehensive, and impatient to begin.
"What do you do for a living, Jarrod Wright Sinclair the third?"
"I'm a billionaire."
"Billion? Wow. That's a lot of dollars."
"Yes, it is. Keeps me busy."
Jarrod traces my jaw line with his finger, and my mouth drops open with a sigh. His finger moves from my jaw to my lips, caressing them ever so lightly.
"I mean," I croak. "You have to count really high to get to a billion."
"I'm not afraid of heights."
Obviously, I am. I have fourteen dollars in my bank account. You don't have to count very high for that.
"You're an extremely sexy woman, Marie. Do you know that?"
"You're the first person to tell me. But I'm reasonably sure that you have enough experience with these things that you're correct. In any case, right now I'm feeling sexy as hell."
"Good. For what we are about to do, it's a lot better if you're feeling sexy. But if you weren't, I'd get you there. My promise to you."
"Is there usually this much talking while doing the big nasty?" I ask.
"We haven't started yet."
"Oh. Then, let's start. Just holler out if I'm doing it wrong."
I hop up and leap on him, throwing him backward on the bed. He makes an oomph noise, but I'm reasonably sure I haven't injured him. I rip open his shirt, sending buttons flying all over my studio. One bounces off my glasses, and I'm thankful for severe nearsightedness. Otherwise the button would've knocked my eye out.
Jarrod looks down at his now naked chest. "You ripped my shirt," he says, shocked.
"You're a billionaire. What do you care?"
"You have a point."
He shrugs out of the rest of his shirt and his jacket. He fumbles with the buttons on my blouse, but he's having a hard time because I'm determined to get his pants open, and my arms keep blocking his path.
It becomes a competition to see who can get the other one naked first. But I have a head start, and faced with his semi-nakedness, I've got a head full of determination to see the rest of him. He doesn't stand a chance.

 I was on my way to my class when I saw Mr. Marcus Sanders, the one who knows Catastrophe. He help Catastrophe a lot that's why she's stronger than before. He just got out from the Headmistress's office really peeved. He saw me. I approach him and greet him on his name. 

"Mr. Sanders."

"Mr. Patterson,"

"What brings you here?" I am here to find Catastrophe. She's in peril from the hands of these. I read his mind but he still doesn't know that I can read mind. He answer me in different answer.

"Have you find Catastrophe? I am here as a legal guardian since my cousin George pass me the custody." So I have no time to reveal what I am to him. I can trust him. He won't come here with a Band-Aid around his right arm. 

"Catastrophe is with his father, am I right?" I give him a hint and he immediately gets me. 

"Yes. All I thought that she's with George. George called me that day and told me that there's an assault on his condominium. Catastrophe is gone. And I wonder why they are looking for her."

"Could we meet in my office in few minutes? We have been searching for Catastrophe, and please, let's work hard to find her, can we?"

"Of course, Catastrophe's like my daughter." 

Do you always have a platinum knife under your jeans? 

How does he know that? And one thing hits me. He's not an ordinary guy. Well, since this school is not safe, he should be alarmed then. He nods and turn around and stop for a moment like he saw something. 

Damn these stupid homo-kuklōps. I should make an unpredictable move to get to the other world. He mutter on his mind again.

 How does he know about human-cyclopes? How does he know about the other world? I told him to wait me on the waiting room and he did. I went to my class immediately and told them to answer the pages that I gave to them. I assign Daven to collect all the papers and deliver it on my office. 

"Homo-kuklōps?" I suddenly asked him as soon as he takes a sit. He blinks few times and look at me quizzically. Somehow, that the same mannerism makes me remember Adhiti. She gave me the same quizzical reaction, with looking on the right and look back to the person that she is talking with and with a big question all over the face. He shrugged on my question. "What is that?" 

 After questioning him that, he sit back, crossing his legs over to the other, folding his arms and smirk, staring at me intently. I shook my head thinking about the same mannerism that Adhiti always do to when I tutor her. 

Now, now. Since when did you learn how to read minds? 

"Since when I was born."

"There's no doubt." He murmurs. You are from the other world. Am I right? I nods at him. Be careful, it is hard to trust people. How many people know about you? 

 I count on my finger and after five fingers, I pointed my other forefinger on him telling him that he's the other one. I didn't add about Davin. He look directly on the closed wooden door like he saw someone on the other side of the door. 

What do you see? I speak inside his mind. 

Someone that is wearing a 10 karats necklace with a two faced-amulet. The dragon on her right and bull on her left. She has a glorious golden bangle with the same style on the amulet. 

 I know someone wearing the same necklace. Leona. I speak on his mind and told him that we continue talking. I told him to say the same thing that I will tell him on his mind. 

"I will go to Europe to find Catastrophe there." He said after I told him to say it. 

"Please contact me if you have any news about her. My parents and I are so worried. But please, let's keep this as a secret. I know that Catastrophe wanted freedom and to clear her head because we thought that she's our Adhiti." 

"It must've been hard for her to be here." And she's not gone, yet. That headmistress is kind-a obsessed with Catastrophe. How long would I keep talking on my mind? It's kind-a making me feel sleepy. 

"More coffee?"

"Oh, please. Maybe the pain-killers makes me feel drowsy today."

"What happened to your arm?"

"Some-psycho bastard came into my house looking for Catastrophe." 

 We chat a lot more until Leona left. He get alarmed again when he saw someone on the other side of the door. He walk towards the door and open it. Davin came in with full of working books on his hands he tripped and he falls all the books. Marcus helped him on the books.

"It is hard to walk forward when you can't see your front." Marcus said. When Davin looked at Marcus, he suddenly stop and his face goes pale. He immediately stumble crawling backwards until his back hits the wall. Marcus look at him quizzically. I walk towards them and closes the door. "Hi, so… did I scare you?" he asked sounding like Adhiti. "Or… why are you pale? Are you sick?" 

 I push up Davin and drag him towards the couch. He's bit shaking. I immediately grab a glass of water and gave it to him. He shakily drank all of it while his eyes are still on Marcus. Marcus put all the books aside and he cross his arms, tilt his head to the left, showing how puzzled he is. 

 I look at Davin and asked him on what's wrong. 

"He's the man on my dream." He murmurs. 

"Ahhh… oh-kay." Marcus nods and suddenly smiles. "What dream?" 

"You… with the Goddess and your daughter." He murmurs. Marcus suddenly drop the smiles and his face darkens. He look around like seeking if someone is listening other than us. He walk towards my shelves and pulls the books. I was about to stop him but he groans when he pulls something behind the books. He drop it down and crush it. He took some small device on it and lifted it. 

"I don't know that." When I understand what it is, my face looks grim. Someone is spying me here. He search around again and again and few another one. 

"This kind of a thing is a micro-SD camera." It is just a small camera that has SD-Card and the very good thing is, it hasn't been removed. I watch on the dates on the SD-Card and glad that it was put when we help Adhiti escaped. I called Andrew over. It just takes her few minutes to get here since, he is nearby probably buying groceries for dinner and other Marissa's things for our baby. 

 He touches the broken cameras and the books and the shelves. He told me that the cameras installed on the day when they are looking for Adhiti. I am really glad that they hasn't get it back. Or else, they saw my secrets and learned my plan. 

"Let's have some dinner at home." Andrew invited Marcus as he squeeze on his arm.

"Sure. Since, I don't have any appointments." 

"Great! That means you are helping me to prepare dinner today." Marcus was utterly quizzical for a bit but he smiled instantly when it is about cooking. Maybe he already get on what Andrew wanted to say. But I still feel anxious that they tried to spy on me. Even my office is not safe. 

 I gather the pieces after Marcus took all the SD-cards putting it on his safety smartwatch. I went directly to the Headmistress's office and telling Davin that he and Clarence to visit my house. I immediately get a pass from the HR and Security department, that it will be part of their training to enhance their skills.

 I pour all the broken pieces of the cameras in front of the Leona on his desk. I show them my bad attitude. I've been an outstanding student here, but I don't want them to overstep on my boundary. They had been doing such things, that I cannot tolerate. 

"There's someone sneaking on my office that against the law of this school. Every consultation of my apprentice and other patients are highly confidential."

"What are these, Mr. Patterson?" she asked innocently though I know inside her head that she's asking herself on how I find it out. 

"Broken cameras. I broke it all, as you can see."

"Your, point, Mr. Patterson."

"My point is," I leaned really close to her face, bending very gentle but threatening. "Who is the one installed it there? Why did you let them install the cameras in my office?" 

"I don't know what you are talking about. I will immediately call the HR-Security to investigate this." She said it cool and calm. I look down on her amulet and on the bangle bracelet that she's wearing. Marcus was very precise on everything he saw. I can't wait Davin to tell me everything about Marcus. 

"There's no need for investigation Headmistress. I just wanted you to know that I am not tolerating these kind of things. And please, let the president know. I don't know how obsess you are on finding Catastrophe, and I wonder that you stop looking for my sister back then. How unfair it is? It is because Catastrophe has a control over fire that intrigued you people?"

"Catastrophe has an excellent power that only Royal blood of Pyr can have. We need her power, that's all Mr. Patterson. Since she's one of the top five outstanding students here in this year." She only said it in very casual and normal way. 

"I understand. But why did you even barged on the property of her uncle just to look for her?" 

 She really got tensed up. I will make it more obvious that I am finding out their secrets. I will let her know that those secrets are not secrets anymore. 

"Mr. Patterson." The President of the school, Mrs. Hudson called. I glare at Leona for a bit after I pull up myself and twist my body to Mrs. Hudson with smile. "I did not expect your visit at this moment."

"Yes, Marcus Sanders, Catastrophe's uncle complains about the sudden attack of the Head-Security of the school. Good thing that, Marcus let him get away from the police." 

"Leona, is this true?"

"I suspended Officer Sanchez already." She told. 

"Clean up the mess, Leona. You know that the privilege and the face of the school is very important to humans." 

 I don't know how they can handle things here. But their mind feel all tensed on what happened. They expected that Marcus should be dead. But, Marcus has something that they doesn't know. He was extraordinary and this man has lots of secrets that makes Davin flash back on those memories. 

 I walk towards the door and turn back to them seeing that they are glaring at each other thinking the same thing. They don't know where Catastrophe is but their plan will jeopardize because of us. Whatever they are planning, I have to find a way to communicate on the other world. The darkness is coming that's what all I know and they are one of the masterminds.

We need to do something to get rid of the Patterson's. But how can I do that? Should I asked my Lord? That's what Mrs. Hudson talk on her mind. Who is this Lord? I have to find it out.

 I turn back and open the door. I walk on the corridor where few students are rushing back and forth, and group of girls and boys talking at each other. Some greeted me and I nod at them. I saw the girl who has this lust on me. She pretend that she can't pass the exams so she can consult on me and kept seducing me. But the thing goes, I saw on Andrew's mind that she was summoned to install cameras on my office. 

 She greeted me with those lopsided smiles, her mind, is roaming on my body ripping all my clothes… and… goodness, this girl need some medication and learn how to stop those things. I walk passed her and then, I stop from walking and called her last name.

"Miss Mora," I called her name and turn to her, she is already facing me. "I would like to speak with you," her mind already jump into conclusion that it will be on my office so I took the chance. "In my office please."

"Yes, sir." She slipped the 'sir' in very seductive way. I eyed her, turn my heels and walk towards my office, Clarence is with Davin who is cheering Davin, since he is not in good condition. They stop and greet me. I have to stop walking. 

"Can you still take it for our lessons tonight? You can take a nap and skip the classes. I already gave passes to your subject professors." 

Totally, hot and caring. The material boyfriend… or husband. She speak on her mind. And I bet that she's already biting her lips. Fuck, I wanted him badly. 

Sorry dear, I am already taken. And I only belong to my Marissa. I wanted to told her that back but I focus on Clarence.

"Oh, Geez! Thanks, Pat!" Clarence said in excitement. 

"Take care of Davin. You can't fool on girls at this moment. That's your assignment." Clarence sigh in disappointment. 

"Damn, babysitting it is." I smiled at them. Clarence winks at Miss Trinity Mora. I peek at Trinity thinking that Clarence might be useful on something. This is really bad. 

 I open the door for her to enter and she did, happy that I was a gentleman. That's my nature. But I am not here to fuck her. I told her to sit and she did, crossing her legs showing a bit of skin. I ignore it and walk straight on my shelves and started putting back the books. 

"How are you doing today, Miss Mora?" I asked. 

"I am totally, great, Mr. Patterson." I feel her tension a bit. He doesn't know. Right. No one sees you. If I get screwed up, I can, strip my clothes here. 

"Good then," I turn to her, removing my coat putting it neatly on my swivel chair. I sat there open the book that she precisely touched just put the camera there. "Do you know why I called you here?" 

"Because, I screwed up on your quizzes?" 

"Not that. Let's not talk about the quizzes or activities." Her tension dissipated. She bit her lower lips curling her hairs. "Since when did you learn sneaking in my office?" That seductive actions of her broke. 

"I—" she drop her eyes down. 

"Why did you install micro-cameras here? I found two, how many did you install." 

"H-how did you find out?" she said off guard.

"You, see, I have someone that can see the past through touching things, proof as the witness. Perhaps, you install it there already. How many confidential consultation did you saw? This will lead you to expulsion. Do you know that?" 

 She stood, thinking of stripping in front of me. If she did that to other professors well, it won't work on me. I chinned up with sharp eyes, just to make her see my dominant side.

"Sit down! Miss Mora." I said it strong that makes her sit down. "Now, tell me, Miss Mora. Who told you to install cameras here?" she quiver on my question. 

I just did it for my sake. I was just told to put cameras there and took it back after two weeks. I did it because, I want you so bad. 

"Who make you do it?" I asked in very low sound. The Headmistress won't like this. Eliza, she'll won't make him fall in love to me. Eliza? 

"I—I am the one… it is me…" she started crying. I hate girls crying and I just made one today. But it won't effect on me when it comes to my privacy or something that will jeopardize my sister's protection. 

"You may leave now, Miss Mora. I will talk to your mentor about this."

"Please," she begs. "Please don't tell Margery about this." 

"Why?" 

"Please, Mr. Patterson, I'll do everything, just don't tell Miss Margery." Please have sex with me. Fuck me really hard. 

"No. That is none of your concern." I told her. She walk towards the door, really embarrassed. My phone rings and my mood suddenly lightens up. She opens the door and leave. I pick up my phone and answer it. "Yes."

"Hey, gorgeous. How you doing there?" 

"Well, I'm quite, fine."

"I can feel that you are not that fine. Come home please, I miss you. Badly." 

"I know." I grins. "I know baby, it is just. I have to finish few things here then, I will be home. I will bring my apprentice for their studies. I will try to come home early too cook you something."

"Awwee… my hubby's so sweet. I will cook for you, baby miss you too." I giggles hearing the 'baby' thingy. I miss them. My love and our baby, though, he or she hasn't in the world yet. 

"I love you. Please take care, don't starve yourself and our baby. Okay?" I pull the drawer and took the velvet box. I brought a ring already. It's been months since I brought it but I never get a chance to ask her to marry me because of the happenings. It is not right to ask her to marry me when my sister is suffering. 

"I will, my Ricky. Please come home safely. I love you, so, so, so really, much." I giggles on how exaggerated it is but it is heart melting. My heart is beating crazily and I love her that it hurts so much if ever I lose her. 

"I love you gazillion times… oh, infinite." I smiled with a sigh. Her voice makes me calm. 

"Okay, I need to cut the talk for you to come home early." 

 I can feel someone listening to me. I look on the tall window of my office that is made in ancient times, since the school is a palace-like. I saw Trinity Mora, peeking and she saw me, our eyes met. She using her ability to fly just to peek on me. She immediately fly away. 

 I have to know on why she kept on spying me. I stood from my sit, putting the box on my pocket. It is a good thing that I did not keep important things here and I don't leave any evidence behind. I walk off from my office walking directly to the faculty room where some teachers gather for dinner, for meetings etc. It is also the post where they talk a lot. I immediately look for Margery Trevino and approach her. She's talking with some single guy who never gets old. Yeah, almost of them here, never gets old. Since lots of them are half-immortals and some are half-vampires, werewolves… those things exists here.

"Miss Trevino." I interrupted. Hmmm, another yummy. Good thing that he's my type, but he can never let me get into his briefs. Damn these people! Sometimes, I hate reading minds. "I would like to speak to you, in private." 

"Oh-kay. This is the first that you are consulting me. What's the problem about?" she started picking up her purse. 

"It's about one of your apprentice."

 We were about to head outside the faculty when the siren wails. We all rushed outside. They don't care about leaving their personal things behind and everyone headed outside. There are screaming that comes from the great fountain of Mystical Academy. 

 The crowds increases around the pavilion of the great fountain of the Goddess of Earth. Tallus Mater or Terra Mater, is the name of the Goddess in the fountain, holding the earth on her right hand, while carrying a baby on her left. 

 I heard crying. I even heard Margery screams, that makes me rushed on the very scene. My eyes widen and I somehow feel really jelly. Like I really lost myself at that moment. I am preoccupied, seeing one of my student lying down on the cold ground, reaching the fountain. I just talk to her a while ago and now. She's lying on her own blood, mixed with disgusting, green-purple puke. 

 I know feel pale and sick. But I can still hear her mind inside. She's suffering, asking for help. I immediately walk towards her, gently pulls the sleeve of her uniform and as I expected, she has those bruises from pins and needles. I didn't show it to them. Even though, I can't bare of doing this, I checked her pulse. 

"Trinity." I called her name. I can still hear her thoughts, though she's slowly fading. Trinity, I called her inside her mind. Margery rushed on her almost crawling. I'm so sorry, Mr. Patterson. I am wrong. That's all she said on her mind and then she fades away.

The Mystical Academy is built for students that have peculiar powers. Powers that they didn’t know where it came from, until the world between the Outside World and the Inside World clashes. 
Nicholas is the Prince of Era from the Inside World. He lost the love of his life Adhiti that he assumed to be his soul mate. He stayed in the Outside World to investigate the missing Adhiti, until something dark drowned him into the depression to another girl, Adhiti’s best friend, Eliza. 
After two years, an accident happened in the Academy boundary. Nicholas found Adhiti, finally. But something had changed. She claimed that she wasn’t Adhiti but Catastrophe.
Catastrophe and Adhiti are different from each other. The other one is meant to be boundless, while the other is meant to destroy. 
Catastrophe wanted revenge for the death of Adhiti. She became someone that they won’t expect. However, as she investigates further, she learned something about the deaths of the students. She learned that something is indeed dark. Until she hears the five voices inside the tree which will be known as a gate to another world. 
Adhiti as Catastrophe will learn about the other worlds hidden from the human's eyes. And she will learn that she’s doesn’t belong to both the Outside World and Inside World, but something more. Will it be the Above World or the Under World?
