 A hint of a smile played at Hillman's lips. "That mysterious magus seems to be at odds with that party over there. Just stay here and watch. No need for us to interfere." Hillman himself was only a warrior of the sixth rank. In truth, he didn't dare to interfere either.

 The Velocidragon alone was something he would not be able to fight off, much less the mysterious magus.

 The strength of the seven-man party in front of the magus was not weak either. Five of them were warriors, while the other two were magi. The leader of their party was a powerfully built man with tousled red hair, who rode a pitch-black iron bull. The two sharp horns of the iron bull glittered under the light, dark and deadly.

 Its blood-red eyes gave testament to the true nature of this bull –"Vampiric Iron Bull", a magical beast of the fifth rank.

 With a snort, smoke began to emit from the bull's nostrils as well.

 Of the seven people in the party, four were men, three were women. Both of the magi were women, while the third woman was an archer. Aside from the Vampiric Iron Bull, a huge griffin floated in mid-air.

 "Griffin"– a magical beast of the fourth rank!

 It had the head of a lion, but a pair of enormous, powerful wings. For a party to have two magical beasts and two magi, clearly this adventuring party was no ordinary one.

 "Youngsters, it'd be better if you handed the d'Bero shadow diamond over." The mysterious man seated on the Velocidragon said a second time, his voice cold.

 "Lord magus, we don't wish to be your enemy, but in order to acquire this d'Bero shadow diamond, we spent countless amounts of time and effort. The value of it exceeds a hundred thousand gold coins, but you, lord magus, want to buy it from us for just seven hundred coins. This… this is impossible." The red-haired leader of the group said in a solemn voice.

 Listening to the conversation from far away, Linley, by Hillman's side, now understood everything.

 So this mysterious magus wanted to spend seven hundred gold to purchase this d'Bero shadow diamond which was worth a hundred thousand.

 "Wow, the price of that diamond…" Linley was shocked. "For it to be worth so much money, clearly this d'Bero shadow diamond must have some significance attached to it. Otherwise, it wouldn't cause this magus to be willing to lower his status and try to forcibly buy it."

 An offer of seven hundred gold, for an item worth a hundred thousand. No wonder the small party was unwilling to accept.

 "Hmph." The mysterious magus coldly harrumphed.

 "I only have seven hundred gold on me. Right now, I'm still willing to use money to buy it from you. If you lot don't know how to take a few steps back and do what's best for you…then not only will you not receive a single gold coin, you will also lose your little lives." The magus said in a frozen voice.

 "Grrrrrrrr."

 The Velocidragon, taller than most of the houses in the town, let out a deep growl, causing all the houses nearby to shudder.

 "Captain, we risked our lives to obtain this d'Bero shadow diamond. How can we so easily cower in front of this guy and give it away?" A woman in black said coldly. As an experienced adventuring party, these seven people had experienced many battles and wouldn't easily submit.

 The red-haired captain said in a solemn voice, "Honored lord magus, I am of the Kingdom of Fenlai's 'Cayley' clan…"

 This captain wanted to use his background to force the opponent down.

 But unfortunately, powerful magi usually were eccentric and didn't give a whit about noble families.

 "You all have chosen death." The mysterious magus sneered coldly.

 "Careful." In a flash, the seven-person party raised its guard. The four warriors charged in front, the female archer in the back pulled out her strongest bow, and the two female magi began to prepare magic.

 "ROAAAAR!"

 The huge Velocidragon opened its mouth, and an enormous plume of fire erupted from its fangs, headed directly for the party.

 Where the fire came near, the very stone road underneath the fireblast began to warp, crack, and even shatter from the intense heat as the entire road charred black.

 "Careful."

 The red-haired leader said in a deep voice, as his entire body became suffused with red-colored battle-qi. The other three warriors activated their battle-qi as well.

 The red-haired leader wielded an enormous claymore in his two hands. With rapid speed, he fiercely swung it against a nearby stone wall, and with a thundering sound, the stone wall collapsed, as hundreds of rocks rolled down to the floor and dust exploded outwards.

 Just at this time, the fire from the Velocidragon enveloped the four men, who used their battle-qi to resist it.

 "Hah!"

 The red-haired man kicked a large rock nearly half a meter long at the magus.

 The other three warriors did the same, also kicking large rocks with the speed and power of enormous slingshots. The four rocks split the air, howling as they pierced forth towards the magus seated on the huge Velocidragon.

 "Swish! Swish! Swish!"

 One after another, a barrage of rocks assaulted the magus. In the twinkling of an eye, all the rocks from the collapsed wall were used up.

 Seeing this battle from afar, Linley's hands were tightly clenched.

 "How incredible. They actually dare to use their feet to kick such huge rocks." Watching the four men unceasingly kick the huge rocks, he felt all the more in awe of warriors in general. "Although, the Velocidragon is even more terrifying!"

 Staring at the Velocidragon, Linley watched as its whip-like tail snapped about, dancing in front of it.

 "Crack! Crack! Crack! Crack!"

 One giant rock after another was smashed into smithereens. The rocks couldn't even come close to harming the magus on the Velocidragon's back.

 "Swoosh!" The Velocidragon's tail seemed to be totally unimpeded. It covered an enormous area, and whenever it casually passed by a stone house, it sliced through it as though the house was made of mud. The stones would be shattered without any resistance. As one house after another began to collapse, stones rolled about everywhere and the entire area was bathed in dust.

 "Roaaaar!" Even in the middle of the dust storm, the Velocidragon's mighty roar could be heard, and it continued to vomit fire from its jaws.

 This entire time, the two female magi in the back of the party were continuously mumbling magical incantations in a light voice. The words of magic were completely different from the common tongue spoken on the Yulan continent. It was much more awkward-sounding and complex. Before too much time had passed, the two female magi finished their incantations!

 "Protective Icy Carapace!"

 The two female magi chanted out in a low voice. Bright light erupted from their bodies, with four rays covering the four male warriors with a translucent, crystalline armor.

 The red-haired leader was delighted. With the protective icy carapace supporting his battle-qi, he now felt more confident in this battle.

 "Attack!" The red-haired leader ordered.

 The four warriors shot out four more rocks at nearly the same time, attacking the mounted magus simultaneously. Immediately following, the four warriors charged forward like arrows released from bows as they shot towards the Velocidragon.

All the students and Zion and Verlin were frozen still. None of them knew what was going on. It was like time had stopped. Then in a flash Drakos Battle-Ax- Scythe Phantasm appears back in his hands and Harry opens his eyes wide and realizes it was all an illusion. Drakos had activated his Demon Eyes which tricked Harry into thinking he was sliced in half. 

The extreme fear of dying made Harry piss and shit himself in front of everyone in the trial room. The students burst out in laughter as they saw Harry's royal Magus Robe covered in shit and piss. 

"Hahahaha! Did the Phoenix Prince just shit himself!" Laugh out a bunch of upperclassmen Magus and Cultivators. 

Reza and Kara even chuckled and giggled at the sight of Drakos defeating Prince Harry so badly in battle that he made him shit and piss himself in front of hundreds of people in the Trial Room. Even some of the Greatest Magus in Zareth was watching The Trial Battles. Drakos had made Harry look like a complete little bitch in front of everyone. 

"What a loser!" Kara shouted out with a smug tomboyish grin as she pointed at Harry who looked like a complete mess as he shat himself even more. 

"WHAT JUST HAPPENED!? DID I JUST DIE!?" Harry cries out in confusion as he gripes his forehead in pain and vomits out blood. Drakos Demon Eyes Geass powers had completely destroyed and manipulated Harry's mind. If he wanted to he could  make Harry kill himself in front of everyone in this very moment, but he hadn't fully cultivated and mastered his Geass abilities to do so. 

In ancient times a demon would acquire the Demon Eyes by devouring thousands of souls. These Demon Eyes become even stronger when used upon a female to enslave them as the Demon uses Devil Dual Cultivation to drain the woman's life force during sex.  When Demon Eyes are used on anyone it has three main abilities. Mind Control, Illusions, and an unknown powerful ability that only Demon Kings could achieve. In short, there are three stages to the Demon Eye power in which Drakos had gained with his Primordial Bloodline. However, he had not fully unlocked or master the full potential of his Geass. He was still young and new to this insane brutal world.

Only one of Drakos's golden eyes was slightly glowing a dark red color while the other remained the same dark gold. This is how he looked like when using his Demon Eyes against another living being.

Harry looks at his right shoulder and sees that Drakos Battle-Axe Phantasm is jammed right in his shoulders, he screams out in agony as he coughs out more blood. Even though Drakos had created a mind-illusion of killing Harry, he had still tossed the Battle-Axe  Phantasm at him and right through his Phantasm Phoniex Spear. His Battle-Axe ax-head then collided into Harry's shoulders and was impale inside his flesh and muscle. 

Drakos Heroic System alerts him of the new upgraded powers that he gained after defeating Harry in battle with his Phantasm and Demon Eyes.

"Stop fighting! The victor is Drakos Storm!" Demanded Verlin as she swiftly opens up her grimoire and does some hand signals as she chants out a spell. Verlin then slams one hand on the ground and she activated a barrier sphere spell around Harry to protect him with her powerful mana which acted as a dome shield. 

'That power that boy has very dark and cursed. I have only seen that power once. Can it be the power of a Demon?' Zion rubs his chin in thought as Verlin protects Harry. 

"I WILL MAKE YOU PAY FOR THIS! I WILL TELL MY MOTHER ON YOU! SHE WILL HAVE YOUR HEAD!!!" Harry gritted his bloodly teeth as he fiercely slams the ground below him admitting his defeat to Drakos. 

Drakos looks at Harry and slowly walks over to him with a devilish grin, "Whatever you say Pussy Prince. Remember what I said. Your mom is mine," He actually punches through Verlin's magical barrier and gripes Harry by the neck with one arm. He then pulls out his Materialized  Battle-Axe Phantasm from Harry's shoulder, a large gash could be seen on the front of his shoulder. 

A loud *SPLAT!* echoed across the Trial Room.

The students and parents in The Trial Room all gasped. They couldn't believe that Drakos who was just a village warrior had actually defeated a Royal Magus like Prince Harry. 

Drakos lifts up Harry's body high up in the air for everyone to see, "You call this a leader!?" He thunders out. Everyone is silent and whispering to each other.  

"UNHAND HIM AT ONCE! HOW DARE YOU MAKE MOCKERY OF MY BROTHER!"  Screams out a young cultivator student with long fiery scarlet hair and dark ruby eyes. She looked almost exactly like the Phoneix Queen but she was way shorter and had a more slender curvy body frame while her mother was thick and well-endowed. 

"It is Princess Celestia!" Yell out some Magus Students in shock as they stepped away from her as she runs down the stairs of the Trial Room towards her brother who was badly injured. 

Celesta swings her sexy slim hips from side to side as she runs down to protect her brother. She was older than Drakos and Harry by 2 years. Yet her body was very well-developed and curvy for a young girl, she was wearing a short crimson and gold royal dress that matched her long golden blonde and scarlet hair. Her slender creamy legs glistened with the sunlight above the dome-shaped battle arena of the Trial Room. Her beauty was beyond breathtaking and stunning. Everything about her was desirable. Every man in the Phoneix Kingdom wanted to wed her. But she was a tough girl to get, she denied all of her suitors and found no man worthy of her love. 

Drakos looks at Celestia and takes in her beauty, his lust was slowly rising as see the divine fire maiden walk towards him. 

"I will kill you myself!" Celestia's eyes starting glowing and a burst of flames come out of her eyes. 

"I would like to see you try," Drakos cracks his knuckles and stares down Celesta with a wild fearsome look in his eyes. His eyes were like that of a demon wolf. 

"THAT IS ENOUGH!" Verlin loses her temper, her face reddened with anger. She had never been so flustered in her life. 

[Next Matches] Chimes the mana holographic screen Verlin had created with her mana.

"Step aside Celestia. I will finish this bastard off once in for all," Seron slides back his legs in gets in a combat stance with both his fist up. 

Every student could only use their Qi, Phantasms, and Mana. No weapons were permitted in The Trial. This was so that every Magus and Cultivator could awaken their Soul Form. 

Celestia gritted her teeth, " I will never forget what you did to my brother!" She fiercely shoots a fireball from her palm at Drakos. She disobeyed the Arch Magus orders. 

Kara slices the fireball in half with her Phantasm which was dual daggers that had reddish sparks sparking out of the blade edges, like firey thunderbolts. She looked like a young assassin as she easily slashed Celesta's fireball attack.

"Don't you dare touch my brother you bitch!" Kara snarled and growls as she shows her fangs. She tightly gripes her Phantasm Daggers. 

"I will have your heads! I will make sure of it!" Celesta snobbishly huffs as she angrily points at Drakos and Kara. She then lifts up her head in the air in a prideful bossy way as she walks away to help up her brother up who was covered in his own piss and shit. 

Everyone was still laughing. They were amazed and shocked that Drakos had made the Royals of the Phoniex Kingdom look like such complete fools. They also thought that the Royals deserved the brutal treatment Drakos had given them. The honest truth was that many people hate the Phoniex Royal Bloodline. The laughter gets louder. 

"SILENCE!" Verlin stomps her feet, her shiny black high-heels made a clanking noise and the ground shook. 

"My my someone needs to get laid. Fufufu," Chuckles another female Magus who was wearing a purple wizard hat that had a red ribbon wrapped around the top of it. She was petite looking Magus and was shorter than the curvaceous bombshell Verlin. Her chest was also smaller by a huge margin even though she was older than Verlin around 25 years old. This Magus was indeed a good friend of Verlin and she was probably the most powerful Magus in the entire room. A prodigy in the Phoenix Kingdom. Her name was kept a secret from everyone, most likely because she was hidding something from everyone. 

'Hmm he looks so tasty, no wonder Ther Order wants this boy,' The prodigy Magus female licks her glossy black colored lips as she stares at Drakos muscular young body and Dark Qi which was spinning around his body like a tornado vortex. Only the prodigy Magus could see the demonic darkness within Drakos. 

"Alright! Let's get to the final Trial Battles!" Exclaims Zion as he lifts up his cane in the air. 

Kara was going to battle Seron's sister Silva. 

And Drakos was going to battle Seron again. But this time something seemed different with Seron like his Qi had become twice as powerful than before.

Drakos gets in a warrior fighting stance similar to an MMA standard fighting stance. Seron looks at him dead in the eye. 

The Final Trial Battle has begun.

The audience was in an uproar. Everyone's eyes widened at the sight of Neil being hurled off the platform by that pillar of wind. There was such a massive disparity in stature between the two of them, but the result of their battle was very unexpected.
It seemed like the battle had only just begun, yet Neil had already been eliminated by an opponent who appeared to only be around 11 or 12 years old. If he were attending Chaos School, he would still be a part of the elementary section!
"That's true magic." Hank turned to the Chaos School students with a hint of ridicule on his face before joining the Magus Tower magic casters in their raucous cheers.
"The first victory goes to the Magus Tower. Neil Barkly has been eliminated. Let's begin the second battle. Team leaders, please select your contestants." Karpas turned to the Chaos School students with an encouraging expression.
"You're up next, Lyant." Claus cast a wary glance at George. He could also unleash an intermediate spell, but it would be very forced, and he couldn't do it with anywhere near the ease with which George had unleashed that spell. As such, he didn't know if he would be able to defeat George in battle.
"Alright." A tall and thin student emerged, and he walked toward the platform with an extremely wary expression.
Geroge turned to Karpas, and informed, "I'll keep going." 
"Second battle, begin!" Karpas announced with a nod.
This was a battle between two wind magic casters, and the disparity in power was quite apparent. George didn't even need to unleash his gale pillar before he was able to force eliminate Lyant with ease. In the end, a teacher from Chaos School had to step in to shield him from two wind blades. Otherwise, he would have been in a lot of danger.
"Second battle, Magus Tower wins."
"Third battle, Magus Tower wins."
…
"Seventh battle, Magus Tower wins."
Karpas' indifferent voice sounded once again, and an oppressive silence settled over the venue. Everyone looked up at the golden-haired young boy standing on the platform with indignation in their eyes, but also with a hint of awe and veneration.
In the seven matches, only the last student from Chaos School posed a small threat to George. Everyone else was eliminated by him with ease, and his overwhelming might struck everyone with a hint of despair.
"Thank you." George nodded at Karpas as he got down from the platform. In the process, he looked at the Chaos School students below the stage, and shook his head with a bored expression.
"Well done, George. Leave the rest to me." Hank patted George on the shoulder before getting onto the platform. A mocking sneer appeared on his face as he pointed to Claus, and said, "You're the team leader, right? Beating you one by one would be too boring. I'll give you a chance: split your remaining eight members into two groups, and I'll fight you in groups of four. If you beat me, then you win the match, but if you lose, then the Magus Tower will probably never come back to your school. Fighting someone who can't even pose a good challenge is too boring."
"You!!" Claus stepped forward and glowered at Hank. He was being insulted in front of the entire school, but they had lost seven consecutive battles, so he didn't know how to respond. The disparity in power between the two sides struck him with despair, and he had no choice but to turn to the teachers below the stage for help.
The other students of Chaos School were also furious. However, none of them could do anything, either. George had already beaten many of the best magic casters among their ranks, and it appeared that Hank was supposed to be even more powerful. They stood absolutely no chance here.
"That green-haired guy is going to fight four people at once?"
The students below the platform were all shocked and enraged upon hearing that. Not only was Hank insulting his opponents, he was even insulting the entire Chaos School. The most infuriating part was that no one could do anything about it.
"Abbott, I don't think that's allowed under the current rules." Grinton turned to Abbott with a dark expression. They were mentally prepared for Chaos School to be defeated by the Magus Tower, but in the past few years, the matches had always been quite close. Even though Chaos School had lost in all of them, the losses they suffered weren't too heavy.
However, in this edition, the rule of deciding match-ups through drawing lots had been abolished, thereby leading to a situation where the entire Chaos School team was in danger of being swept by two people. If they sent out four people and were still defeated by Hank, then the entire school's reputation would be severely dented.
Many teachers in the front row had also turned to Abbott with dark expressions. The entire match had spiraled out of control, and only Principal Novan would be able to bring the situation back under control.
"I say we let the kids decide on their own. They're currently in a negotiation phase, and no one is forcing anyone to do anything. If you don't like it, then you're free to stop them and enforce your own rules upon them. As long as those rules are fair, I have no objections." Abbott turned to Grinton with a smile.
"Let the kids decide. Some experiences are more important than winning or losing." Novan appraised the students on the platform with a calm smile as he said, "There's no need to interfere excessively. Besides, we haven't lost yet, have we?"
"Yes." Grinton wanted to offer an objection, but he only nodded in the end.
The other teachers were a little surprised, but none of them said anything, either.
Abbott took a glance at Novan, and he also chose to remain silent. Novan was a spatial magic caster that was feared by many great magic casters in the Magus Tower, and Abbott couldn't figure out what he was thinking.
Thus, Claus received no assistance from the teachers, and Karpas wasn't stepping in, either. He took a deep breath to calm himself down, and at the same time, his mind scrambled for a way to win this match. The honor of Chaos School hinged on the result of this match, and as the team leader, he couldn't afford to let his emotions get the better of him.
Claus looked at his teammates before turning to Hank with a nod as he said, "I accept your proposal, but we only have seven people left, so they'll be split up into a group of three and a group of four."
"You only have 14 people in total?" Hank raised an eyebrow upon hearing that. Sure enough, there were only seven people left, and Krassu's disciple hadn't appeared yet. She was most likely too scared to turn up. With that in mind, the mocking sneer on his face widened as he asked, "I'm fine with that, but wouldn't it be too unfair to you guys?"


In Chaos City on the Norland Continent, there is a strange restaurant.

Here, elves and dwarves share tables. Beastmen are prohibited from making a din, and giant dragons can only seat around the tiny square in front of the restaurant. Even demons have to bring their own stools…

"Eat, pay, or you will be beaten to death." says a cute little girl in her childish voice as she trots forward. A five-meter tall dragon shivers when it meets her eyes.

A wild blaze surged up as corrosive artillery shells created a blanket of  lightning across the sky. 

 The glows of numerous attacking spells revolved around the Ouroboros Clan  headquarters, unfolding in layers continuously at the Phosphorescence Swamp.　 

 In order to protect their organization and their homeland, the formidable  Warlocks went all out against their equally-powerful opponents. The earth was  stained with blood and bones. 

 Outside headquarters, two behemoths roared ferociously in their entanglement.  Every strike sent tremors through the land, as if forming an unending  earthquake. This sort of remarkable battle was uncommon even in the central  continent, and deserved to be recorded as a legendary one. 

 The intense confrontation had lasted a full day, yet not the creatures, nor  the Magi nor the Warlocks showed traces of backing down. The Magi could bear  the intensity of the battle, and the two giant creatures could do it even more  easily. 

 On the other hand, Faisal wore a displeased look from within the command room. 

 “The East Zone is 37% damaged, the city walls 55%. The energy consumed by the  Duo Serpent Annihilator is too large, 67% of our combined storage is already  depleted. We can’t keep going much longer…”

 “…” Looking around at the messy battlefield filled with corpses of bloodline  Warlocks, Freya shut her eyes for a moment. When she opened them again, they  glowed with ferocity. 

 “I vow not to yield! The glory of the bloodline Warlocks cannot perish in my  hands!” 　　 

 “What a foolish decision!“ the chief chided, ”If it is so, I will not show  any mercy!”　　 

 As if a seal had been unlocked, the iron chain on his right hand cracked  apart, snapping off and dropping down in segments. Dark black flames rose  continuously from the arm, and Freya’s previous sense of danger had increased  tenfold. 

 “This Demon’s Arm is a precious treasure that I acquired after braving  countless dangers…” 

 A terrifying arm, completely coated with scales and tipped with sharp claws,  was revealed as the chain broke. Compared to the transformation of the other  members of the Demon Magus Army, the horror that this arm exuded was far more  terrifying. This could be considered a true Demon’s Arm!

In but a moment, the chaos of the battlefield had died down, giving birth to a  deathly silence. 

 Even the Kyasha Beast and Duo Serpent Annihilator had stopped in the middle  of their intense battle. They felt a huge, imminent threat from this tiny human  body. 

 “It’s Demon Hunter Cyril! Why did he show himself in advance?” the red-haired  female Magus asked in disbelief. 

 “Cyril, it’s said that you’re a person who doesn’t bother with reputation!”  the green haired Magus looked unimpressed, ”Seeing the positive circumstances  on our side, you must have rushed here to forcibly take credit for it!”　　 

 “He’s an exalted Morning Star Magus, why would he snatch anything from you?”  The female Magus covered her mouth and sniggered.　　 

 “Hehe… Cyril’s reputation amongst Morning Star Magi… You will find out soon  enough…” the male Magus smiled bitterly.  The membrane cracked, and the energy source was extinguished!　　 

 The huge defensive spell formation supporting the whole city had been under  the attack of the army for an entire day. The combined Magus Towers, as well as  the various spell formations, collapsed loudly. 

 Like a screen of water being dispersed, the membrane disappeared, and the  entirety of the Ouroboros Clan headquarters grew visible to the enemy. 

 “No!” Two rolls of tears streaked down Lucian’s face as he cried out. An  enormous carnivorous flower that was almost ten meters high devoured him  completely. 

 Even though he’d suppressed the other party with all his might, after being  weakened by the Morning Star domain he could only await his death.

 “Who are you?” The chief was shocked beyond words. For someone to be able to  remain calm under the Morning Star domain and even cause the chief himself to  be helpless, this person must not be easy to deal with.

"One of the innocent people you have captured is my friend. Her name is Yu Wenjin."

"What? You did all this for a Vessel of the Arcane Yin Energy?"
The Grand Magus God was shocked beyond belief. 
At his level, nothing, except for exceptionally talented heirs could have piqued his interest. Although Yu Wenjin was a Vessel of Arcane Yin Energy and was talented in cultivation, Grand Magus God could have found a few dozen replacements with ease.

So powerful was Chen Fan once he had reached the Divine Sea that he could pin almost all Immortal State warriors in the world under his thumb with ease.

Chen Fan said lightly and then grasped something in the air as he grunted. 
"Wind, arise!"
Countless Wind blades appeared as if out of nowhere. They converged to form a spinning cyclone as they flew toward the Grand Magus God. Each wind blade was two to three meters long and was sharp enough to sever a steel beam. Chen Fan had also imbued these wind blades with crackling lightning energy, making the attack even more deadly. The tornado picked up some speed and charged at its target like an unstoppable train. 
"Break!"
The Grand Magus God shouted as two beams of green light shot out from his eyes. 
Countless strands of Dark Malice Qi rolled out from under his black robe and they gathered to form a Dark Cloud in the path of Chen Fan's attack. 
"Bang, bang, bang!"
The Wind blades rammed into the Dark Cloud, trying to carve out a path. However, the dark clouds resisted the attack with a continuous fresh supply of Dark Malice Qi and eventually dulled the wind blades and rendered them useless.

Grand Magus God's face darkened as he removed his mask, revealing a ghastly gaunt face. Rays of Green energy lanced out from his eyes as he formed a hand sign. Suddenly, seven dark balls the size of marbles shot out from his large sleeve. 
These seven dark balls crashed into the Yellow energy ball and exploded. 
"Kaboom!" "Kaboom!" "Kaboom!"
Each and every explosion spilled out a large shroud of mist that obscured the sizzling lightning energy in it. Each impact was as forceful and violent as a direct hit from a heavy field cannon. After seven consecutive explosions, the large energy ball finally dissipated. 
"It took me over three years of hard work to create these seven Yin Bombs of Dark Malice Qi. Those are the only ones left in the entire Dark Witch Sect."
Grand Magus God lamented in his mind, reluctantly accepting the loss of his precious weapon. 
He had thought that the yellow energy ball was Chen Fan's last attack, however, Chen Fan took a step forward and started another Art with a shout.
"Thunder Arise!"

The Grand Magus God let out a cry. The lightning strike landed on him before he could put up any extra measure of defense.
So powerful was the crackling lightning energy that it ripped open seventeen layers of defences, shattered the Four Righteousness Protection Aura, and landed on the Grand Magus God's body. 
"Bang"
A thin strand of dark smoke rose from the point of impact and then there was a momentary flash of an iridescent light that was quickly overpowered by the intense white light of the lightning. A sound that resembled cloth being torn apart came up amidst the blinding whiteness. When everything was over, people noticed that the Grand Magus God was naked and his skin was burned to a crisp. There was a pulsing red wound on his back and chest, the lightning had even seared the flesh under his skin. Inside the open wound was his beating heart. 
Grand Magus God was gravely injured after receiving one blow from Chen Fan.

Chen Fan linked his hands behind his back and looked impassive as ever.

The old man was a Transcendent Grandmaster and therefore he had reckoned that more than half of Grand Magus God's body was carbonized after the attack. He had survived solely because of his incredible vitality. Even so, the old man wagered that the Grand Magus God would perish in a few minutes. 
"So not even Immortal State Warriors could hold out against Chen Beixuan?"
Then Sein's face paled after seeing the turn of the event. He asked Lord Hu in a panic voice:
"Lord Hu, is the Ancestral Patriarch already defeated?"
Lord Hu pulled a dark gloomy face and said: "Please be rest assured, Mr. President. Ancestral Patriarch has only shown a tip of his glacial might."
Even as he said so, they watched as a plume of dark smoke rise from the charred flesh of the Grand Magus God. The smoke rose to the sky and formed seven apparitions. Their appearances were exact copies of the Grand Magus God and they spoke in unison.
"Chen Beixuan, you have damaged my body. You will pay dearly for your unspeakable crime!"
"You talk too much."
Chen Fan narrowed his eyes and punched.

Leon didn't wait too much for his battle, the opponent wasn't that hard beat either. Leon was trying to hide his identity as a titan in the battles, so he just used his mana to battle, and as attacks he only used lightning because he didn't want to show that he was specialized on multiple elements.

The yin and yang were abstract and wasn't really suitable for attacking. He didn't want to use fire, because most of the maguses would choose it as their foundation, and because of that the second most used foundation element was water which was opposite of fire. After that would come earth and the air was the fourth. The lightning was a good choice of the foundation element, but the maguses wouldn't choose it due its uncontrollability, with fire, they could forge magical devices and it also had a good attack force. The lightning was only good at attacking and didn't have any defense and didn't have any auxiliary properties, so it was the fifth most used element for the foundation of the maguses. 

The maguses mostly would choose elements as their foundation, but there were also exceptions. Leon learned from the library in the school ruins, there were some maguses who would use emotions as their foundation and attack with them as other kinds of attributes.

After beating his opponent, Leon looked at the sky to the gods, they weren't showing their pressures any more, but they were watching the battles. Leon was confused for their focus on him at the start, but the gods didn't focus on him after that. Leon knew there was something about him that made the gods focused on him, he didn't know specifically what it was.

The spectators were also looking at him. They didn't think highly about him at the start, but as the battles progressed, they changed their view about him. Leon wasn't experienced about the battles of maguses, but from the experience that he collected from the corpses, he had theoretically knowledge about it. And with watching the battles and battling himself, he digested the knowledge and practiced them. 

Leon also noticed that, Locke didn't lose his strength after he became a magus from his fights. But that wasn't going to be an advantage against Leon.

"How was it? Have I qualification to battle with you now?" asked Locke while looking at Leon. 

At first, Leon didn't understand why he was asking that, but further thinking, he understood. When they were about to battle in the academy, Leon asked him "Why?" when he choose him as his opponent.

"I never said you didn't have qualification to battle with me." said Leon. He was surprised to see someone who was a warrior, to challenge to a magus. While it was true that the maguses didn't have much power in the close combat, but they wouldn't give opportunities to warriors to come close to them. Leon also didn't want to explain his reasoning to Locke, even he said it, it would seem like artificial not his original thoughts.

Hearing that, Locke shook his head, 

"I know you could also use earth and didn't use other elements while fighting. I want you to use your full power." said Locke. 

Leon nodded, he didn't think that Locke didn't forget that he threw him from the arena with an earth spell in the academy. 

Leon and Locke didn't talk any more and waited for the notification of the system. When the notification came, Locke immediately closed the distance. He was planning to overpower Leon from close combat like how he did with his previous opponents. Leon tapped to the ground with his foot and the earth around him started to act like a treadmill to Locke. Leon didn't want to drag the battle and attacked to Locke with lightning. 

Locke also wary of the lightning and tried to dodge it, but Leon dragged him to the lightning with earth which was under Locke. It was a short battle, when the battle finished, the girls came to Locke and feed him with pills and look at Leon with hostility. 

Leon wasn't bothered with their gaze and looked at the sky. The gods descended. Leon didn't feel the power when they first came, but he knew that the gods were powerful, so powerful that he couldn't even lift a finger when they wanted to do something to him. 

"You've gained the right to ask to us anything you want, but beware you only have one chance. What do you desire?"

Leon who drowned and died didn't sleep in nothingness but he dragged through time and space to find himself in a forest filled with ghosts. There was nothing aside from ghosts and corpses in the forest including himself. Without a body he could only look around and try to find out more about the place that he was in. 

Learning the magic existed in this world and he could make a body from a ruins of a school. He made a body for himself but he wasn't a human anymore, he was a titan and he was inspired to become a magus who wield magic. 

But the resources was finite in the world, only solution was to travel through the worlds and collect them to grow stronger and live longer.

Yale's sword clashed with his opponent's rod, but Yale's strength was on the weaker side since he still didn't use Bloodline Force.
However, Yale wasn't planning a clash of strength.
Using a rod required both hands while using a sword like the one Yale wielded only needed one.
Yale had planned to win the battle with his spare hand and not by wielding another weapon but by using a spell.
The spell Yale chose was Spark. That spell wasn't very powerful but could stop his opponent for a few seconds.
Just after their weapons hit each other, Yale used his Spark spell on his opponent.
The opponent let off his rod just after being hit by the spell, Yale's plan was successful.
Then, Yale used that instant to send his opponent outside the stage, winning the first round without too much effort.
When one had a weaker strength than the opponent, using a strategy was better than foolishly battling straightforward.
After all, the matches weren't only for warriors, so using spells was something normal, and Yale couldn't be blamed for using them since his public status was that of someone who practiced the two Paths.
That was his opponent's fault for not noticing Yale's spare hand and neglecting the possibility of Yale casting a spell.
"The winner is Yale, congratulations!"
After the referee announced the results, the system reacted.

Furthermore, the pain wasn't any problem due to Pain Tolerance.
Yale reached his opponent and pointed his sword towards her neck.
"I lost."
The girl gave up the match when she saw Yale's sword pointing her neck. She knew that Yale avoided hurting her, but if she was stubborn, that might change, and it wouldn't be Yale's fault.
Moreover, with her personality, she couldn't be so shameless as to attack someone who had showed goodwill towards her.
Furthermore, as she was only a 1-star mortal in the Warrior Path, at the moment Yale reached her, she had lost any hopes to win.
The referee announced Yale's victory, and he officially entered the top eight, securing a prize no matter the results of the rest of the combats.
As Swordmad had guessed before, reaching the top eight wasn't a difficult task for Yale.

That was a long-range battle as it was typical for a fight between Magus Path practitioners.
However, what decided the battle wasn't any spell, it was Aizu's sword.
She waited until the opponent was casting a spell to attack her with the sword, sending her outside the stage.
That was a typical fault of a Magus Path practitioner when battling another Magus Path practitioner. They tended to forget the possibility of a physical attack and concentrated only on casting their best spells quickly. Highly experienced magus might have methods to protect their bodies if they weren't practicing also the Warrior Path, but those at the Mortal Rank had enough with trying to get Rank 1, so if they weren't practicing both Paths, they tended to have weak bodies compared to someone who practiced the Warrior Path.
Aizu used that flaw to win the battle.
However, she had to admit that her own spells were still worse than her opponent's, but Aizu had more battle experience due to her continuous practices with Yale, so she won the battle.


In a universe where the great experts can reincarnate, Yale Roanmad reincarnated with almost no memories of his past life and didn't know who he was.

But every single rumor couldn't prepare Fraser for the real horde. 

Do you know the moment when anyone would tell you an exciting story about heroes, wars or maybe even the tale of some people that either did good or bad? 

One might feel excited and even want to be in the stories, but if one would see the reality, then no one would like to be there. 

When Fraser reached the end of the gigantic flytrap, he wondered whether or not the flytrap was a single entity. 

The size could definitively fit in a small patch of forest. 

But when he looked up and saw into the distance, everything in his mind went blank. 

Like a frozen statue, Fraser glanced into the distance. 

Only after a couple of moments could Fraser process what was before his eyes. 

A seemingly black horizon. A small stripe of black could be seen in the distance. 

When Fraser entered the howling abyss for the first time, he could see a forest that still had mist lingering around it and a couple of water ponds. 

At that time he only had one servant, One. It was also the time where Magus Sept spoke about the different outpost that ventured into the howling abyss and would retreat towards their outpost because of the impending horde. 

When he slaughtered a pack of armored deer, he wanted to continue to explore the howling abyss. However, he stopped as he wanted to proceed when he had enough servants. 

But the howling abyss from the past looked way different than the howling abyss looked right now. Everything that Fraser once associated with the howling abyss disappeared. No forest, no water ponds and no mist that gave it a magical vibe. 

Instead, the only thing that remained in Fraser's eyesight was a green sea. 

The grass danced in the wind like water would. 

After staring at the black line for a while, Fraser actually processed the reality. 

'It can't be… Is the black line the horde? But then that would mean….' 


With a horrified glance, Fraser stared at the black line. The horde resulted in a black line that could be seen in the far distance. 

Now, what would happen once the horde collapses into the defensive line? It would be like trying to stop the ocean wave with a single pebble. 

'No, even if the horde looks so imposing, the Magi will be stronger. After all the horde is an event that occurs every century.' 

With that thought, Fraser retreated behind the flytrap, next to Magus Sept, and began to close his eyes in order to be at optimal state when the horde arrived. 

When the horde neared, Fraser could immediately hear it. 

Screams, howls, roars and many other animal sounds echoed in the surrounding. 

It wasn't long before Fraser could see the first few beasts rushing towards them. 

With red eyes, one of the beasts charged towards the only female Magus. But the defensive preparation from the female Magus seemed to suffice. As if entering a dead zone, the beast dropped onto the ground, never able to stand again. 

In order to get a better overview from the battle, Fraser commanded his eight servants to move forward while relaying their impressions to him. 

So it was no wonder that Fraser sat next to the chair of Magus Sept. 

Like a commander receiving multiple battle reports, Fraser received the information from his servants. 

The flytrap from Magus Sept survived with ease. It devoured the members of the horde that dared to step into its boundaries. Thus it got sufficient nutrients to grow at an unimaginable speed. 

As if sensing the danger from the flytrap, the horde split and tried to avoid the flytrap. However, sometimes there were still a few beasts dumb enough to run towards the flytrap. They were mercilessly devoured. 

The same thing happened with the chimeras the white-robed youth Magus summoned and the earth knights which the middle-aged Magus summoned. 

Though there was one territory that the horde tried to avoid but couldn't. It was the territory of the female Magus. The beasts that died without a reason would soon start to stand up once more, the only difference compared to their living counterparts was the fact that they would try to drag more beasts into the territory and would continue their capturing duty until they got shredded to bits. 

They looked like mindless, controlled zombie voodoo dolls. 

After the first wave arrived, Fraser could understand why the other six Magi choose the territory on the side. It was not because they were lazy or cowards. 

Instead, it was the simple reason of being too weak. 

Fraser could see that the Magus who raised the stone fortress had problems and needed to rise higher and more durable castle walls in order to allow his apprentices to cast their spells. 

The other Magi probably had similar problems, with the exception of the four Magi in the middle. 

After the short impact with the horde, Fraser immediately commanded his eight servants to return to him. 

Fraser thought that he would be able to help or even gain some benefits from helping, but reality shook his head and denied it with a simple reason: 

He was too weak. 

When Fraser saw how the flytrap of Magus Sept crushed and held the countless number of beasts at bay with ease, he now knew that he still had a long way to go before being able to grab a few benefits for himself. 

Like a wave, the horde clashed against the different defensive measures of the Magi. 

Even if all of the defensive measurements seemed to be mighty and impressive, there was clearly a difference in power. 

While the flytrap of Magus Sept seemingly easily devoured every single beast coming too it, it also held the wave at bay with its vines.  

Compared to that, the stone fortress seemed too weak. Fraser could even see how some beast managed to get into the fortress and injured a couple of apprentices. 

Then the Magus had to raise another stone fortress, this time the Magus probably realized the weaknesses and it took three castings to raise a bigger and mightier stone fortress out of the ground. 

After that event, Fraser didn't witness any other battle as he, along with his eight servants, walked back towards the outpost. 

Although he could see that Emium and Vira, the two parties in Magus Sept inner circle, moved into the flytrap and tried to gather some benefits, Fraser didn't do anything. 

The choice that Fraser made was completely obvious, the monster wave crashed into the defensive measurements of the Magi and the defensive line seemed to be like the only shining ember in a room full of darkness. 

There were a few options that Fraser could do in order to gather a few benefits, but the problem was that he never experienced anything like a monster tide. The best thing Fraser could do right now was to wait. 

'Normally People are afraid to lose the chance to get benefits, but I remember Magus Sept saying that our return to the howling abyss academy might get postponed. Since normally the term for Magus Sept would be a three year period and a single year already passed, then the horde duration would be at least 2 years.' 

Turning his head one last time to look at the seemingly endless number of beasts charging towards the outpost, Fraser could only think of one thing: 

'I hope that the horde would at least dimish down in numbers or else the howling abyss would be a really scary place.'

Someone transmigrated into the body of a noble that was on his way to become a Magi. His only keepsake, an AI-Chip that had the ability to calculate and store information. Thus, follow the journey of Fraser Rosethorn.
