When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I'd pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring... until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.

AND THEN HE OPENED HIS MOUTH

Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something... unexpected happens.

Ben 10 is a show near and dear to my heart.

With humble beginnings on Cartoon Network in 2006, I watched the series premiere one night and have been hooked ever since.

The series was about an ordinary 10 year old boy who discovers an alien device called the omnitrix, that allows him to transform into ten different alien species.

Each with their own superpowers that he can use to fight crime.

It's had a complicated history since then, becoming a massive franchise and going through a lot of different iterations and reinventions.

But for now, let me go back to the very beginning and outline what made this show resonate with kids like me so much, and why I think it's one of the most enduring and successful superhero franchises to not bear the mark of Marvel and DC.

In short, I believe the answer is, Ben 10 is the best superhero that didn't come from comic books.

The show had everything it needed to be a perfect superhero story.

This series gave us as kids so much to get excited for back in the day.

Explosive stories, giant monsters, crazy worldbuilding and lore…

And of course, some of the most badass fight scenes for a kid's cartoon.

They really beat each other's asses in this show.

But it wasn't just violence and monsters, this show had a lot of heart and creativity that kids really respond to.

Starting with a really unique story that unfolds in an interesting way.

Season 1 had a really great origin arc, where our hero, Ben Tennyson, get his hands on some super powers during summer vacation, with his cousin and his Grandpa on a cross-country road trip.

Ben Tennyson is a brash, hot headed, overconfident kid with a bratty sense of humor.

But deep down, he's actually very noble and willing to heroically stand up for the little guy.

First chapter, when Ben faced the bullies of his school, really reminded me how kid Midoriya faced kid Bakugou.

His cousin Gwen is bookish, responsible and self-reliant. 

And their conflicting personalities lead them to argue a lot, because… you know, that's what kids do.

Their banter always struck me as endearing, having grown up within a similar sibling relation, and it was nice seeing them eventually getting along.

Their Grandpa, Max Tennyson, is just a wholesome sweet guy that's intelligent, well traveled and likes nature.

He's got a real uncle Ben/Iroh feel for him, being the kind of parental figure that you'd never want to disappoint.

During a freak accident where a pod from space permanently attaches a piece of alien technology to his wrist.

'Holding the key to a power struggle so ancient, so vast, that is is beyond our feeble comprehension.'

Ben gets the ability to turn into various extraterrestrial monsters and causes chaos while being attacked by bad guys from earth and space.

It's on the theme song, you know how it goes.

Instantly it seems like Grandpa Max knows more than he's letting on, but the series let that simmer for a few episodes as it expands on its story.

With time we learned that the watch ended up on earth because it was being kept away from an alien warlord who looks oddly similar to the bad guy from Megas XRL (Cthulhu adjacent, but that was before Dagon), known as Vilgax.

He wants to use the device's power to take over the universe, but in chasing it he got a little messed up and couldn't retrieve it directly yet.

That gave Ben time to discover all 10 alien forms in the watch and stop some more low stakes super crime.

But when Vilgax finally steps in, he's a really imposing and badass villain.

And as overpowered Ben may have seemed at the time, he was still pretty outclassed against this tall angry squidward.

After a crazy season one finale, we discovered Grandpa Max's secret past as an alien hunting superhero of sorts that has protected earth with advanced weaponry for decades.

His organization, which reminded me a lot of the Man in Black, was codenamed 'The Plumbers'.

…

Because why not.

Back to Max, he was actually Vilgax's old nemesis and the two of them battled ages ago when Vilgax's fashion sense was a little more rocky horror picture show than his current attire.

I guess it was big at the time.

Grandpa Max's alien belt notches also apparently rival that of the great Captain Kirk or Commander Shepard.

Who would have thought? 

A stand out feature of this show was the voice acting, for both the English and the Brazilian Portuguese versions.

I loved the voices for all the aliens, each classic alien had so much personality to its design and powers.

Every kid on the block wanted the Omnitrix for themselves and would argue about which alien transformation was the best one, or which one they wanted an action figure the most.

I remember my friend was more of a Heatblast kind of guy, but I was partial to XRL8.

Everyone would have their favorite and each one could be useful.

Even Ripjaws!

I never understood why the series insisted on trashing him as an inconvenient transformation to raise the stakes. 

I guess Brainstorm got really lucky that the omnitrix provided a respiratory bracer for him.

Anyway, Ben's powers were so interesting because he basically had every super power, granted with some limitations for each transformation to balance things out.

Much like any good superhero, Ben even had a built-in weakness to keep things interesting.

His watch had a timer on it that runs out after he's been transformed for 10 minutes.

Well, 10 minutes in canon, but for the sake of compressing time for a 22 minute cartoon, it actually runs on the same timetable as how long it takes Spider-Man to run out of webs which is exactly as long as writers want until the precise moment when it's most inconvenient and dramatically exciting.

Ben also had a habit of tampering with the thing because he was irresponsible and kind of a Bart Simpson type, so it was a running gag that he was in possession of the most dangerous technology in the universe and sometimes he just smashes it against the wall or jams a screwdriver into it or uses it to break walnuts or whatever, causing the watch to work improperly by not turning into the alien he selected.

Or just glitch out and not let him change back to a human for an extended period of time.

That gives a nice bit of added tension because sometimes we think one guy is the obvious solution to a problem, only for the watch to give him another, forcing him to figure out how to make due with that instead.

Showing how resourceful he could be in a pinch.

And for all his trash talk, he's actually pretty smart.

He's a cool character once you look past all his surface level attitude problems.

Along the way, his constant button smashing allows him to unlock additional aliens to turn into, with some cool new powers and gimmicks, meaning there's a lot more than ten in there.

More like, thousands upon thousands.

He also met a few good guys aliens to help him grow as a character, like an alien mercenary named Tetrax.

He taught Ben how to use some more clever tactics and to think his way through a fight more often, instead of just turning into muscular guys over and over.

We even met the sarcastic little alien scientist who built the watch in the show's first TV movie.

The creator, Azimuth, explained that it wasn't a weapon for war, but a tool to create understanding and racial peace between alien cultures across the universe by allowing species to walk a mile in each other's shoes.

It's a pretty heavy concept for a kids show, feels like more of an idea out of a random Star Trek episode.

I loved that the show didn't pull punches on something nuanced like that.

So, with the reveal of their Grandpa's secret past and pretty much all there was to know about the Omnitrix and the various criminal entities in the universe who want to get their hands on it.

The show opens up so much more in season two.

I'd also like to take time to highlight how much I love this show's other greatest villain.

Kevin Ethan Levin.

I see what they did there.

The name is a little on the nose, but if Vilgax was Kingpin, then this kid is the Venom of this show.

He's a vandal punk kid that lives on the streets with super powers of his own, the ability to absorb and expel energy like a human battery.

Ben runs into him and they become fast friends using their powers to act like a couple of schmucks and perform some old-fashioned b and e to get an unreleased video game before outrunning the cops.

But Kevin turns out to be a little bit of a loose cannon and wants to start using their powers for more extreme crimes than stealing video games.

Him and Ben battle it out, and we discover that Kevin can use his powers to absorb the energy from the Omnitrix and take on some of Ben's powers.

He's a morally bankrupt dark reflection of our hero.

After multiple battles with Kevin mimicking Ben's aliens before he goes too far and becomes this hodgepodge of all of them. 

I did enjoy the episode on the second season where they both got stuck in an alien gladiator arena with an electric shock button attached to them and they have to work together to escape.

Basically Planet Hulk.

The other strongest villain characters would have to be Dr Animo and Charmcaster.

One's a mad scientist that uses animal DNA to create giant monsters and the other is a young sorcererss that's trying to live up to her uncle's name as a magic villain.

I typically don't care for the human villain in this type of series, but these two stand out a lot more than one would have expected.

Unfortunately, I couldn't say the same about the Forever Knights.

Kinda like an evil version of the plumbers that wanted to hunt and experiment on all aliens.

Their concept was really cool to me, but I always felt they were terribly misused in the series, serving more of an excuse to have stormtrooper type bad guys that Ben could just punch a thousand of.

Season two ended with a banger of an episode where Vilgax and Kevin team up to kill Ben, but he had accidentally turned off all the restrictions on the watch and he could change into any of the aliens with a thought for however long he wants.

It was awesome to see him really let loose to keep up with his two greatest enemies, and ended up ditching them in an alternate universe called the Null Void, that Grandpa Max used to drop dangerous alien criminals into.

Kinda like a variation of the phantom zone and negative zone from Dc and Marvel.

Season three and four afterwards felt a little directionless to me with the two main villains gone, and they just spent the next few episodes just roaming around the continental US writing wrongs and fighting random smaller antagonists, but the majority of them aren't as interesting as Darth Cthulhu and Chimera alien.

The exception probably being Ghostfreak.

He is pretty cool initially, but other than that, not a whole lot of important stuff happens for the last two seasons.

The series continued to introduce more and more transformations, and even though I initially liked them, they now felt like initial symptoms of the disease that would allow a gorilla made of lego to join the list of Ben's transformation.

Back then the series also didn't really know what to do with Gwen back then.

To keep her from feeling like too much of a sidekick they made up that she began learning magic from a spell book she pilfered from Charmcaster.

This choice initially felt a little out of place in a show that was so heavily steeped in Sci-fi and it gave some people the sense that the creators just threw it in to give her something to do during the fight scenes since everyone else was so proactive.

It wasn't the worst idea in the world, and it's paid off in the later shows very well.

On a side note, their summer road trip felt like it had lasted way longer than three months.

In fact, I believe this is the second longest cartoon summer vacation after Phineas and Ferb.

The last two seasons didn't invest me so much on the villains, but I did enjoy the smaller one offs episodes that feel more slice of life.

Couple examples…

Ben's older cousin, another member of the plumbers, marries an alien from a race that humans had been at war with for decades.

There was this interesting family rivalry where everyone wants to stop the wedding and Ben has to make sure it happens to form a bond of peace with these two species.

There's also a really neat episode where Ben and Gwen were taken into a possible future, where Ben had become the greatest superhero in the universe by the time he's 30. 

But as a result of doing this for so long he's become jaded and serious, never leaving his alien forms.

But meeting his younger self gives him a reality check and helps him learn to have some fun and appreciate his human half once again.

It even inadvertently criticizes its future reboot with an episode were Ben's aliens had been turned into super lame and cartoonish characters of a TV show.

Season three and four reminded me of the last few issues of a really great comic run after the writer has finished his main overarching story and just spends a little extra time with the characters doing smaller things for another 5-10 issues before the new writer steps in to mix things up.

This show definitely has the fingerprints of comic industry writers all over it like that.

It even has a few alternative universes of 'what if' episodes, where Gwen gets the watch in an alternate timeline, or a story where Ben's parents find out about his powers after the summer ends.

As with any other long-running story, it's fun to go back to the earliest stuff and look at it with the perspective of future context.

Like understanding that Gwen powers came from the genes she inherited from her alien grandma, who's a being of pure energy that can warp reality with her thoughts.

Making her kind of a goddess.

Eventually the show winds down with an hour-long special, where he faces off against ten of his human antagonists from throughout the show as a nice little closer.

And there was also a live action TV movie I that unfortunately didn't aged well to me, with its confusing story and low budget effects.

Ben 10 was a great series that got my imagination really flowing as a kid because it was so good at thinking outside of the box and doing something unique, but still very classic for a superhero show.

It has all the hallmarks of a great comic book character without ever being based on a comic book.

It's a great mix of original ideas and taking inspiration from other sources to make something fresh but still pleasantly familiar.

Ben as a character is great because he's relatable for kids, but even at that age his flaws are still identifiable and it was inspiring to see him overcome them and grow past them through the course of the series.

He was a character that taught us that brains could beat brawn, that you should do the right thing even with nearly infinite power and that family was just as powerful as that.

Much like Ben itself, it wasn't a perfect show.

But it stuck with me and became something that I could see a bit of myself in and inspired me.

That's the definition of a superhero in my book.

But what if someone less good hearted took Ben's place?

Someone with foreknowledge in regards to the original story that would certainly take advantage of that.

Well, let me put my cards on the table.

Somehow, I, the most random person in the world, woke up in Benjamin Kirby Tennyson's body a few days after his birth.

You know the story.

Ten-year-old Ben Tennyson, his ten-year-old paternal first-cousin Gwen, and their paternal Grandpa Max start their summer camping trip. 

Ben goes stomping off into the woods after another fight with Gwen, whom he is not happy to have along on the trip, and is almost crushed when a meteor crash lands, only to discover it’s an alien cargo pod. 

When he examines it, he finds a mysterious, watch-like device, called the Omnitrix. 

As Ben reaches inside the pod for it, the device attached permanently to his wrist and gives him the ability to transform into a numerous variety of alien life-forms, each with their own unique powers and abilities. 

Although Ben realizes that he has a responsibility to help and save others with these new abilities at his disposal, he is not above a little ten-year-old super-powered mischief now and then. 

Along with Gwen and Max, Ben embarks on an adventure to fight evil, both extraterrestrial and earthly. 

But what if someone else finds himself in Ben's place?

Someone who has a different personality from the original superhero, not afraid of dirtying his hands seeking to satisfy his endless ambition.

The main concept of this story was for someone to be able to use the power of the omnitrix without the limitations from it but I thought that being able to get any alien the Mc wants would be too op and so his power is that every year a roulette will appear in his mind that he will be able to roll it to get an alien but he will get three aliens at birth. 

• He will be able to use multiple aliens at the same time. Although there will be a limit of how many he can use at the same time which will raise over time.

• Does not need to transform to use the alien's powers for the most part (if he wants to fly unless he has an alien that is able to fly/ levitate without wings he will not be able to fly without partially transforming, or with aliens like Bloxx he will have to partially transform to use their powers).

• He will gain a percent of the strength of the alien with the highest strength. The percent can be raise by raising your base strength. The same effect is applied to agility, endurance, and intelligence.

• Will not be affected by the aliens personality (Sorry Rath).

• He will also get the aliens inherent knowledge when he gets the alien from the roulette like how he will gain Gutrot's chemistry knowledge if he gets him.

For now the aliens will be from the Ben 10 universe but he is also able to scan aliens for them to be added to the roulette like Superman. The roulette will also have aliens that were not in the omnitrix like Argit so if you have any aliens from the ben 10 universe that you think should be in the roulette please comment. God may also add aliens from worlds that the Mc is not going to. (Suggestions)

The more powerful the alien the less of a chance he will have of getting it. (Ex Alien X)

I will make a list of all the aliens in the roulette with their powers, there are some that I have no idea how make the Mc use their powers without fully transforming into them like Terraspin so give me ideas.

The second concept is that somehow the Mc managed to create his own world and god sent him to other worlds to gain power so that he will be able to create and manage his own worlds since he is also a god.

He obviously has some perks for being a god whatever they may be.

Also none of the worlds are fictional they are just worlds that gods created and sometimes people from other worlds get a connection to that world that allows them to witness some events from that world and the only explanation they have is that it is just their imagination.

Upon seeing the former green watch turn bright red, Alexis was not surprised much, in the original Ben Ten series appeared many different versions of Omnitrix, such as the color of Gwen purple or green for Tennyson or red for Albedo.

The device appears to change / emulate its color depending on the user.

Alexis's right hand reached the Omnitrix in his left wrist and cautiously pressed the buttons on both sides of the watch.

Pep.

With the usual omnitrix sound coming from all parts of the series, the codon stream came out while a non-human figure made of light appeared over the strange alien clock.

DiamondHead

Alexis immediately recognized this crystal-like alien, being one of Ben 10's most famous and very impressive, and Azrael believed that his crystal abilities were one of the most overpowered in the series.

Alexis was about to press the button and switch, but he soon realized something.

He could not switch in his apartment.

Since there are many dangers such as the destruction of an apartment or furniture, or if someone comes in, the last thing they might want is for someone to report it as a space, especially since it has not been long since the Chittori invasion of New York.

Nor does he want his mystery of the Omnitrix to be revealed by Shield, although Alexis was a student at the Shield Academy and had faith in his beliefs about preserving the paranormal world and humans separately, but after the merger of his soul and that of Azrael and the fact that Azrael He is the one who has the greatest control. He has to play his first step from now on quickly but with caution.

Immediately form a picture in his mind and imagine it come true!

He went to his laptop and started multiple searches.

Although he knows that a few weeks have passed since the space invasion of New York, he has to set his schedule further.

For example, has Ironfist started its journey yet? Did you kill Jessica Jones Killgrave? Is Luk Cage still unwilling to use his abilities? Is daredevil yet?

He also has to ascertain how similar this world is to the fact that Marvel's cinematic universe knows before. Are there mutant in this world? Is there a Fantastic Four?

When he started the search, he found nothing about Danny Rand other than an article about his death with his parents when he was ten, which means that he has not yet left Kunlun or that he is still at the beginning of the series. There are rumors that a black masked demon is chasing the residents of Hills Kitchen, he must be daredevil before making his suit and he is still chasing the Russian mafia without the knowledge that the mafia is nothing but a hand game and Wilson Fisk.

He found that there is a Baxter building, but information about Susan Storm and Red Redchard suggests that they are just superb geniuses, nothing more.

'When I go to Shield Academy the next time I look for more detailed information'

Other than the videos about the origins and evolution of life, the remaining storage of the crystal chips was naturally occupied by the tremendous data including the Grand Encyclopedia of the Federation. Some of the rough star maps that had been publicly published were inside them, too.
If the alien civilizations in billions of years' time understood such information, those star maps could possibly help them locate the three thousand Sectors that the civilization of mankind had once flourished in.
Of course, such data and files would not be given away easily.
According to Wei Qingqing, the several hundred psychologists in the Tinder Base had devised a series of secret tests regarding the 'succession of civilization', which could examine the morals and worldview of the potential inheritors without them knowing.
"I have recorded all the test content," Wei Qingqing said. "The 'old grandpas' to be sent in the future will be installed with such test procedures, too. The old grandpas will only release a tiny bit of information and techniques at first and run a series of tests, while they observe the behavior of the acceptors of the knowledge. Only after they ensure that the morals and worldview of the acceptors are similar to ours will they release all the remaining information including the star maps.
"For example, after our old grandpa locates an alien world that has a not-so-developed civilization, he will perhaps find an ordinary, if not underprivileged, 'specimen' in the alien world first and fall to the side of the 'specimen' as a Cosmos Ring. Then, he will release part of the information and techniques and fabricate an origin for himself according to the myths of the alien world by claiming he is a prehistoric god, a sealed demon, or a lost artifact. Later, he will arrange a series of fortuitous events and adventures and secretly observe what the acceptors will do with the old grandpa's techniques.
"If the specimen is interested in nothing but murder and entertaining himself, then we'll have to say sorry. Such an alien race is probably not suitable to pass on all the information from the civilization of mankind. It is also too dangerous to let them know it. The old grandpa will automatically destroy most of the remaining information and prevent the alien race from learning of the civilization of mankind's existence. Then, the old grandpa will release special waves and slowly corrode the brain of the specimen. In the end, the specimen will live in the illusions created by the old grandpa, unable to free itself. To people who are sober, the 'specimen' will be a complete psycho whose words must not be believed.
"In such a way, nobody in the alien world will know anything about the truth of the civilization of mankind.
"On the other hand, if the 'specimen' makes good use of the old grandpa's knowledge by helping other people and protecting the ordinary people, it will suggest that the alien world has a worldview that is similar to ours and that it is qualified to accept our legacy.
"In the meantime, the old grandpa will arrange a series of tests for the 'specimen'. With every test passed, more common morals and worldviews will be confirmed, and the old grandpa will release more techniques and information accordingly to make the specimen grow stronger to reform and lead their world in our way.
"In the end, after all the tests are passed, the 'old grandpa' will reveal all the truth and inform the specimen of the existence of mankind. He will also give our star map to the 'kind and upright' specimen so that they and their offspring may be able to return to the home of their 'teacher' one day.

Tilting his head and thinking for a moment, Li Yao was amused. "If the specimen does have evil thoughts, they will be quite pitiful."
"It can't be helped. I believe in the brightness of the universe, but I can't turn a blind eye to darkness and evil," Wei Qingqing said. "We have to be responsible for the future of mankind. All village teachers have a whip in their hands to discipline their students!
"For the success of the Tinder Plan, I've spent the last few years in deep meditation. With the help of hundreds of other Illusionists, I have constructed many wonderful 'virtual worlds' for test to ensure that our legacy will not fall into the wrong hands. So, there is no need to worry at all!
"Ah. We're here."
Passing through a long silver pathway, they reached a magnificent round hall. The wall of the hall was embedded with countless light beams and mystic ray launchers that projected tremendous holograms. Together, they built a vivid 'Half-Step Grand Illusionary Land'.
All the light and shadow interweaved with each other into an unworldly paradise.
They seemed to be placed in the most perfect scenic spot. Quiet lakes that were as smooth as a mirror were nearby, and mountains covered in snow were far away. At the foot of the mountain was a town in an ancient style. Laughter and songs faintly drifted over from the town.
Li Yao was getting used to the style of the Tinder Base where reality and illusions were mixed. He was aware that most of the views were false illusions created by the mystic rays that were projected to his retina.
He blinked and covered his crystalline lens with feeble spiritual energy. Then, he immediately 'saw' the staff and the group of enormous crystal processors hiding behind the illusions.
There was also a black cube that was two meters tall, one meter long, and half a meter wide at the center of the hall. The surface of the cube was as smooth as a mirror without the slightest flaw.
"This is the super-strong silicon chip that can be stable for a hundred million years. It is going to be my new home," Wei Qingqing said with a smile. After pausing for a moment, she added, "Our new home!"
"Our…" Li Yao pondered the deeper meaning behind the world.
So to speak, Wei Qingqing was not going to be the only spectral Cultivator sent in the 'tinder'?

However, in the video where Mo Xuan and Xie Wufeng debated on the 'Spiritual Nexus' and 'virtual life', the professor already looked a bit aggressive and radical.
Professor Mo Xuan appeared to be glowing even more than in the video. The moment he showed up, everybody was unable to move their eyes away from him.
The 3D projection technology in the federation was quite advanced. If Professor Mo Xuan wanted to, he could have covered himself in illusionary clothes and made himself look like a vivid human being—as Wei Qingqing did.
But he kept his liquid metal body nonetheless, not disguising the difference between him and a 'living person' at all. There was no telling whether it was because he did not care about such details or for some deeper reason.
Li Yao vaguely felt that it was no longer the professor that he was familiar with.
Then he realized that it made perfect sense. Professor Mo Xuan had not hibernated in the past hundred years. He had been through many things and even an affair. Of course he had changed!
Despite that, looking at Professor Mo Xuan who appeared both familiar and strange, Li Yao was suddenly reluctant to expose his identity or contact Ding Lingdang and Jin Xinyue through him.
Professor Mo Xuan glanced at Li Yao and Long Yangjun and smiled. "Representative Lin, Representative Long, Firefly can be compared to a piece of tiny tinder launched to the edge of the cosmos by the Star Ocean Republic a thousand years ago. I believe that it's easier for you to understand the significance of the 'Tinder Plan' with your background, right?"
"Exactly." Long Yangjun hurried to reply. "Miss Wei has explained a lot to us on our way here. The Tinder Plan is truly inspiring. We were moved by Miss Wei's ambitions to march into the future and pass on the tinder of mankind. However, Miss Wei just mentioned 'our home'. Also, can such a giant, black cube called a 'chip'? So to speak, you are not going to send one soul but a virtual world with countless spectral Cultivators?"
"Yes," Professor Mo Xuan replied sharply and thoughtfully. "But I'm afraid it's a poor choice of words. What do you mean by 'virtual world'? For those who live in it for a long time, the world constructed by the Spiritual Nexus and the crystal processors is as real as the world outside. It is neither 'virtual' nor 'simulated'.

"The 'virtual worlds' created by the Spiritual Nexus and the crystal processors are the best home for the Spiriters. So, we have named them the Spiriters' Realms!
"Welcome to the Spiriters' Realms, honorable guests from afar. Yes. The Tinder Plan is finally having its first launch after decades of hard work, but it is not one Spiriter that we will send but a small Spiriters' Realm!"

At school, I will be bullied and the teachers will not care about it. My life got worse when my favourite car is named Tom got cruelly murdered by my older brothers when he cruelly them it to the middle of the road and a car hit my beloved cat.

But that is the moment when I let my anger consume me. I remembered how I pound my older brother along with my second brother by punching both of them many time breaking their nose and made their eyes bruise.

I remembered how they tried to fight back but I punch and kick their balls. They fell to the floor and I kept punching with kicking them until my father kicks me away.

I looked at the state of my older brothers. They got bruises with their mouth are leaking blood which satisfied me very much. My parent scolded me but I ignored their scolding.

At school, I beat up those bullies until they cannot walk anymore. I had enough of being a wimpy coward anymore. Their parent made a report to the school that ended with my family got sued.

My father dragged me to my bedroom and beat me up but I used a hidden knife that I kept stabbing his knee and seize the chance to beat him up when he kneels.

I punch him many times ignoring the scream of my mother who told me to stop.

The next thing I knew, the police locked me up in jail courtesy of my mother who calls the police where they immediately came to my house and arrest me.

They kept me in jail for a month before I got released and I am back into the shit house.

And that is how I wish for me to never step into that house but still, if I ever run away, my parent will simply call the police where then I will be wanted by the police since I had a criminal record or rather juvenile ones.

And that is why I never run away from my house but still the feeling of want to run away from that house still lingers in my mind.

Before I got back to my house, I decided to buy a comic book at the local comic store.

Many people will buy Marvel and DC comics but for me, I do not buy them as my eyes searching for a Ben 10 comic book or magazines that related to Ben 10 cartoon.


Where other kids grow watching Avengers:  Earth Mightiest Heroes, Iron Man: Armoured Adventures, Ultimate Spider-Man, The Amazing Spider-Man or even the recent Avengers Assemble, I watch Ben 10 series even the Reboot one even though I dislike the reboot version

What I like about that cartoon show is because I mainly like the watch that can turn a 10-year old into a giant that can city.

Wearing that watch, you only need to turn the dial, choose the alien and then smack the dial down to turn into an alien that can resale the universe back.

No training, ancient bloodline that can make you stronger each time you recover from fight, some strong old man pass you some technique or some beast inside your body to use that watch which is named, Omnitrix.

As the name goes, it is a watch that is created by Azmuth, a race alien, Galvan from the planet Galvan Prime and the smartest being in 3 or 5 galaxies.

He is so smart by creating a freaking watch that he thought can be used for other aliens to gather understanding from each other.

And that Omnitrix has a million a line that is stored inside the alone and if any new aliens are available around the Omnitrix, the watch will scan the alien and gain the DNA of that new aline which will let it's wielder to turn into that new alien.

For every power, there must be a witness and it's a weakness at first is the time limit where the user, Ben Tennyson or widely known as Ben 10 where he always times out and then back to human back after 10 minutes pass. And it takes 5 minutes for it to be recharged.

But as the cartoon series has it's the sequel the time limit for Ben in his alien form also increase unlike the one at the Classic series.

Of course, there is a way to overcome the witness. And the answer is the Master Control where the watch will keep you in an alien form as long as you want and you can turn into an alien by simply Voice command.

Sounds like a cool watch huh?

But the moment I entered the Comics Store, I see a man who is wearing a mask is holding a gun to the owner of the comic book store.

The owner of the comic book store is just an old man who is very kind to me as he will sometimes give me money or bring me to his home for him and me to spend our time together like grandson with his grandfather as he did not have any family members in this world.

Looking at this scene, I act by instinct and tried to rescue the owner but sadly the man shot towards me. The bullet pierces through my forehead and my vision goes black.

But still, the last moment I see is the owner comic book who suddenly shines brightly with the murderer get his head to stab by a light spear.

BRENDAN POV

"So this is how my life ended huh? Never able to feel happiness or find someone precious." I thought in my head.

"If only I can live in another world, I will live my life to the fullest." I thought in my head as I died.
"Brendan. I am sorry." The old man says before 12 wings appear behind his back as he opens a portal lead to a void dimension.

"This boy. He serves a second chance. Hmm. Let's do that then." Touching his forehead, he sees the poor and unlucky boy memories as he sighs seeing his bad life until a memory which contains the happy memories which is the memory of him and Brendan with the Ben 10 series comic books and TV shows.

"Well, my grandson, you serve a new life and for that, I shall reincarnate you into another world with a watch that you like very much. But still, Brendan seems to prefer the Omnitrix that designed like Mad Ben except for no spikes. Hmm. Based on his memories, this watch has a time limit. Well, then, maybe I can make the time limit disappear. No, rather I will make the energy core inside his Omnitrix increases. I am sure Brendan will not like to be so strong in the beginning.

Everything should have a weakness so his Omnitrix has still a time limit but it will be so different than the originals. The same goes for when the watch being recharge. Oh, also make him the only one to use this watch. This watch self destruct mode is one very dangerous one. Maybe, remove it. Nah. I will just make this watch to reveal the code when he is 18, no, rather 17 years old.

This watch also will completely bind to him and nothing can remove it from him. Hmm, but still, should I give him the Ultimate Form?

Yup, absolutely give him during his 17th birthday too since I know he will be mature enough to use this watch.

Besides, I do not care what will he do in his jew life. This boy deserves it.

Now for the most important part is his world. As a ROB, I need to spin a roulette to make him reincarnation into a new world.

Spinning the roulette, I waited patiently for the roulette to choose the world and it stops at a world that I know Brendan will like, Marvel.

Signing in relief, I take a look one more at Brendan.

" You are like my grandson and I seems to forget your birthday prizes. And I know what to give you perfectly." He then snaps his hand as a watch that looks like "Power Watch" belong to Mad Ben except no spikes appeared on his hand.

He then touches the watch as the watch now has some new features, additional energy core and alien in the watch that ROB moves to attach to Brendan's left wrist.

"Now for the last one," he snaps his hand as Brendan's body shines as he gives something for Brendan.

That something is a body that makes Brendan become like a super-soldier like Captain America and Deadpool's healing ability.

"Wait a minute. That Marvel world is known for cloning superheroes. Hmm. No. Brendan did not need for clones so any of his blood will not make someone else make a perfect or half clone of him. All they got will is a failure. Okay, that is enough.

Now Brendan, good luck in your new world. Stay safe and be yourself, my grandson."

Brendan Hunter found himself in a world of spies, heroes, villains and shiny stones that if assembled can be half of the universe existence.

Story


After a series of messy breakups, Kade just wants to be left alone, for goodness sake. But it seems that's never going to happen now that he has a literal out of this world guest. Enter Zadia, a thicc (by Kade's admission) alien that has come to invade Kade's depression while living in his house.


Characters


Kade: Our despicable main character Kade is often standoffish, introverted, and can be a perv. However, these are masks to hide Kade's extreme self-loathing of himself after breaking up with his long time girlfriend. However, after meeting Zadia, he starts adopting a far more soft exterior.


Zadia: Our cheerful alien princess Zadia treats Earth as a cavalcade of unique experiences. She is incredibly kind, sociable, carefree, and happy go lucky. However, this can also lead to common misunderstandings and nosy tendencies.


Stace: Kade's annoying manager, Stace, always tries to get Kade to open up even if he's manipulative. He loves to push buttons and do anything to have his job improved.


Ethan: An overenthusiastic alien lover, Ethan serves as a fun but invasive ally to Kade and Zadia.


Overview


Down to Earth tries to hit home about how important the little things in life are, which I appreciate in 2020. While we don't know much about Zadia's homeworld, the limited info we do get implies a very strict, sterilized upbringing given the way she acts. Despite being a romance, I do like how she and Kade are building up their relationship. So far, they've been nothing more than roommates, really, and I think that they have a very natural and slow development into a romance which is refreshing. But with all of the very cute scenes they have together, I think that I find their weaknesses more appealing.


The beauty of this webtoon is that every character is inherently flawed to certain degrees. Kade himself is a perfect example through his many failed relationships, pervy nature, and rude attitude. Unlike many other ya novels, Kade knows when it takes it too far and always reels back in immediately and often regrets his action in such a human manner that it hits home. All the characters are also around this level of flawed, which makes the series relatable given how stressed we can be when things get wrong. This is webtoon is all about trying to find peace and happiness when you can when things get rough in life. It's about trying to branch out and becoming better for it. 


Presentation-wise this webtoon is also a treat. While I think the characters can be somewhat blocky, the backgrounds and lights used in the story are gorgeous. I like to think that this mainly the "suicide squad" effect as sometimes the character's design gets layered with fancy effects like neon vines or emotes to give a sparkly effect for the entire series.

You all are mean for not telling me about this waaaaaayyyyy sooner. Webtoon Now is basically an interview for popular webtoon creators and their various stories. I've been trying to get info for many of these authors for over a year now, and I'm glad that I finally have a place where it's easier. For all my complaints, I truly do find webtoon to be a glorious site filled with great potential for new creators, and I'm glad I can now find a place that can now more easily introduce people to new webtoons on the site.


Epilogue


Overall, Down to Earth is true to its name, a down-to-earth story that everyone can relate to. And the series seems only to be getting better and better, so I hope that we can all keep going for next time. But this will be my last spotlight of 2020, and with it, I hope we can shine the light on new webtoons in 2021.
