The plane was arriving an hour late due to the air traffic congestion at the main airport in the country's capital city of Malen. Flight delays have been the norm lately, thought Jon Aster as he looked around the crowded terminal. He had been travelling extensively in the past three years since he took on this job. He liked the mobility and the freedom it gave him, but the constant delays in the airports were starting to make it less and less enjoyable. Already, he missed Lisa and remembered her face and her tender gaze as he left her that morning. He would have stayed longer with her if not for this business trip that his manager said could last a few days.

The steady buzz of conversation and noise that accompanied human activity inside the terminal was drowned by the pleasant voice of an airline staff. With a light tone that sounded like the female host of a radio morning show, she spoke the words as if announcing something delightful rather than another hour of delay. There were groans of disappointment from waiting passengers and a woman spoke loudly to her companion that she would not fly with the perennially late airline again.

Jon had heard such protests before and could understand the dismay from the waiting passengers. He knew as well that the delayed flights were mainly due to the inadequate capacity of the existing airport and the increase of flights using the international hub. There were plans to build two new airports in the outskirts of the capital (perhaps a decade too late, he thought), but until these were finished, there was not much that the passengers nor the airlines could do. That is, except wait as patiently as possible.

Jon looked around and saw a family of three rising from where they were seated. The father was carrying a baby girl who was sleeping peacefully in his arm. His wife held on to him as she pulled their luggage from behind. After hearing the announcement, the young family was probably walking to the food court.

Jon thought again of Lisa and imagined how they could be that small family. He remembered how he hurriedly said his goodbyes because he was running late for this flight. Not that it mattered now, but he could have waited another hour, or two.

Jon took out his laptop and opened his default search engine. He  typed 'Orsica' and pressed 'search'. I might as well know where I am going, he thought. Immediately, the screen filled with amazing scenery of turquoise waters and white sand beaches as well as rocky mountainsides and a pictureque coastal village in the Mediterranean. Jon frowned as he realized that the search engine's algorithm suggested the French island of Corsica instead of his original query. 

He next typed 'Cardena', his port of destination, and from which he would be travelling by boat to the island of Orsica. He clicked on the topmost link given by the search engine and was taken to the tourism web page of the island province. Instead of the Mediterranean, he saw the tropical beaches of the Pacific with coconut trees casting shadows on white pristine sand. 

Cardena was one of the biggest provinces south of the capital and going there and visiting its many amazing islands had been one of the items on Jon's bucket list. As his clients were mostly located in the capital and the mountainous northern regions, he felt elated when he was told by his manager that he finally got an assignment to the south.

With renewed enthusiasm, Jon thought of inviting Lisa to fly over to him after a few weeks when he had already finished his work. She did say she had a cousin in Cardena and had been planning to visit.

Not finding any information on Orsica from the web, Jon clicked on the file explorer icon and opened the brief sent to him by his manager to find out more about his destination.

Orsica is an isolated island sixty-six kilometers from the mainland,  Jon read. Getting there would require travelling a few hours to a small dock and another three hours by ferry. Jon groaned as he felt his stomach sink. He gets extremely dizzy and nauseous when travelling by sea and three hours of tossing around while on a small ferry did not bode well. He remembered his last ferry ride a year ago and how he felt nauseous all throughout the trip.

An email notification popped up from below the screen telling Jon that an email had arrived from his client.


Dear Mr. Aster,

Thank you for agreeing to come to my beautiful island to meet me in person. The matter we are going to discuss is too important and confidential that I could not talk to you about it on the phone. I hope that you will be most comfortable on your trip. My staff will be meeting you when you arrive at the airport and he will take you to the dock to board my private boat.

Jon closed his laptop and heaved a sigh. At least there will be someone to meet him at the airport when he arrives and… a private boat! Jon tried to recall the contents of the dossier that his boss handed him just a week ago. Jon remembered reading the client's net worth and whistling at the huge amount. His client had a vast property on the western coast of Orsica with an enormous house on top of a mountain that was accessible mainly through cable car. Of course, he can afford a private boat!

Taking off his glasses, Jon stood up and approached a large LED screen near the center of the terminal. Jon hoped to see the updated time of departure. He found his flight near the bottom, but instead of the new ETD, there were only red capital letters indicating DELAYED.

Jon decided to stretch his legs and walked to a nearby bookstand where he looked for a travel guide on Orsica. Finding nothing, he asked the store clerk if there were any brochures or maps, but the clerk merely gave him a shrug and turned away to serve another customer.

Giving up, Jon decided to buy himself a cup of cappuccino from one of the coffee shops and sat at an empty table. He brushed off with his hand the crumbs left by the previous customer. Jon then rested his elbow on the table's polished wooden surface. If Orsica really were a beautiful island, I wonder why it's not too well known, Jon thought. 

After taking one sip of the hot beverage, Jon then took out his phone to look at the weather at his destination. He frowned as his phone returned a 'no connection' message. He looked at the wifi strength indicator at the top of his phone's screen - all bars were shaded, indicating very strong signal. Pocketing his phone, he wondered if the airport's wifi network was as congested as the air traffic. 

Jon recalled the short email he got from his client and thought it curious how the client closed his message - 'your friend'. Jon knew that they had not met before. He had no idea what his client looked like, much less remember talking to him.

"Dante… Dante…" Jon murmured as he recalled the 14th century Italian writer and his Divine Comedy. There were three parts to the epic poem, but for some reason, Jon only thought of the first one – Inferno. The images of hell flooded his mind – tormented souls that reside in the nine circles of hell. For a moment, he thought he could hear cries of anguish and pain as well as see writhing bodies amidst the red flames and scorching heat. 

Suddenly, he felt as if his hands were burning and he was back in the airport holding his hot cup of coffee. He sighed and drank the rest of his cappuccino. He tried to clear his mind of hellish images and decided to think again of Lisa and how it would be like living with her when they get married. Jon had not asked her yet, but the thought had already crossed his mind hundreds of times in the past few weeks. 

Jon remembered Lisa holding his hand as he kissed her cheek that morning before he left. Lisa did not show it, but he was sure that she missed him during these long business travels as much as he missed her. He wondered what she was doing that very moment and how she thought about where their relationship was going. Nowhere, she would probably tell herself, as Jon's work always came first. 

Jon took his empty cup and threw it into the recycle bin. Perhaps this should be his last assignment before he transfers to a new job, Jon thought. What if he just leaves the terminal now and go back to Lisa? Forget the flight… forget his work… forget his client… forget Dante…

Jon would think of this moment a few days later and regret deeply that he decided to board that plane and made the choice that led him to the path of disaster and ruin.

She made lots of afford to pull her eyes from him and read the title of the article.

"Greetings! I am Harvey, and you might know me if you have read the newspaper already. Yes! you are a lucky winner of the Lottery, and so the prize is 100% pure potion. Please reach out to  Leaky Cauldron in two days to collect the prize. Note that the adult wizard is required."



Ron was the first to shout in surprise, "It's a free coupon!" He saw a postcard — one side of the postcard was a photo of Harvey and the other side was writing — the same as what was spoken. "Mother!" Molly didn't need to hear as she could see from his face. She took the coupon, and re-read it, "Alright, I will talk with your father first."

As the next opponent of Tony Twain, he did not appear hostile towards Twain like Powell was and did not underestimate Twain like Lagerbäck. "What's with that weird comparison?", he thought as he maintained a stoic expression. It was something he became a pro at.

"So, these flames really aren't normal, huh?", he paused a little and then continued to think to himself as he wasn't the type to talk out loud amidst a battle, "It should have been possible to extinguish them, but, it's curious how even such small flames managed to cause this much damage to my sword."

Now that the wooden sword had been rendered unavailble, Feuer walked away and picked up a sturdy tree branch that was on the ground.

Upon having done so, he now charged towards Luar. 

The boy, who was full of confidence earlier, now had a panic-stricken face. He was now in a hurry to defend himself against his opponent. 

Like a repeat of his earlier attack, he aimed two small fireballs at Feuer's direction.
 
With a slight smile, Feuer stepped to the side. Luar's ability to control his mana wasn't good enough yet, so it was impossible for him to change the path that was intended for his target.

Feuer dodged it easily and within seconds, was already by Luar's side.

He placed the tip of the tree branch near the frightened boy's neck, which marked the end of the battle.

The teacher was astonished at how Feuer did it. He remained calm and just dodged the fireballs with ease.

Most kids his age would be trapped in a state of fear if they saw a fireball was heading towards them. In most cases, they wouldn't have been able to avoid it.

The teacher finally came out of his stupor and finally announced, "Feuer won!"

All the young students were silent. After they have seen and heard this, they were in disbelief. They had despised Feuer for his lack of ability.

But this so-called 'trash' had won against the kid who had the most talent and was even deemed the strongest among them. 

Didn't that mean that Feuer was even stronger than them, then?!
A small change had sparked inside their young and childish minds, so they had decided to stop undersestimating Feuer - or, at least for now.

The first thing he learned, was that the world they're living in, is called [Mortal Zenith]. 

It had many continents. To be more precise, there are exactly six continents.

By reading further, Feuer came to know of the first continent is where the 'English' lived.

In his previous world, they would either be citizens from the United States of America or England. It also had many pages that described their appearance. 

The second continent was where the 'Brazilian' and 'Portuguese' people lived.

The book, however, did not state exactly if they truly were the exact equivalent of who he knew to be 'Brazilian', 'Portuguese', 'English' or whichever countries they belonged to.

Feuer had only been guessing the entire time while he made use of the book's descriptions about the humans that lived in these continents. This also applied with languages. Each continent had its own language but there was, such a thing, as a global language. It is English.
 
And lastly, the third continent was where the 'Chinese' lived. These three continents were inhabited by humans and are called Enith, Bzith and Chzith respectively.

Feuer felt the names sounded relatively funny. "The one who named them must have been an idiot. I mean, they really did just pick the initial letters from England, Brazil, China and just merged it with the world's name? How creative of them…" He pondered to himself as he held his laughter back.
 
He continued reading about the remaining three continents. Feuer, despite thinking that his original world was boring, had always loved to devour knowledge. Excited, he continued to feast on more as he turned to the next page.

When they arrived there, the strong wind gradually stopped. As a result, the visibility grew increasingly greater. The plane was arriving an hour late due to the air traffic congestion at the main airport in the country's capital city of Malen. Flight delays have been the norm lately, thought Jon Aster as he looked around the crowded terminal. He has been travelling extensively in the past three years since he took on his job for one of the most prestigious companies in the world. It was a good job, he thought, but the constant delays in the airports were starting to make the job less and less enjoyable. Already, he missed Lisa, and would rather stay longer with her than go on this business trip that could last a few days.

The pleasant voice of the airline staff came on the speaker again as if announcing something delightful rather than another hour of delay. Jon looked around and saw a family of three with the father holding a baby girl and his young wife hanging on to his arm. Jon thought again of Lisa and how hurriedly he said his goodbyes because he was running late for his flight. Not that it mattered now, but he could have waited another hour.

Jon took out his laptop and opened it. He opened his favorite search engine and typed 'Orsica'. I might as well know where I am going, he thought. He clicked on the topmost link given by the search engine and immediately, the screen filled with amazing scenery of turquoise waters and white sand beaches as well as rolling hills and tree-covered mountains.

For a moment, Jon felt elated that he would be going to a place he had not visited before. Already, he thought of inviting Lisa to fly over to him after a few weeks when he had already finished with his work. She did say she has a cousin in Cardena, the city in the mainland that was closest to Orsica and she had been planning to visit her.

Jon  clicked on another link on the website to find out more about the island.

Orsica is an isolated island sixty-six kilometers from the mainland which meant travelling another four hours by ferry. Jon groaned as he felt his stomach sink. He gets extremely dizzy and nauseous when travelling by sea and three hours of tossing around while on a small ferry did not bode well. He remembered his last ferry ride a year ago and how he felt nauseous all throughout the trip.

An email notification popped up from below the screen telling Jon that an email has arrived from his client.

Dear, Mr. Aster,

Thank you for agreeing to come to my beautiful island to meet me in person. The matter we are going to discuss is too important and confidential that I could not talk to you about it on the phone. I hope that you will be most comfortable on your trip. My staff will be meeting you when you arrive at the airport and he will take you to the dock to board my private boat.

Jon closed his laptop and heaved a sigh. At least there will be someone to meet him at the airport when he arrives and… a private boat! Jon tried to recall the contents of the dossier that his boss handed him just a week ago. Jon remembered reading the client's net worth and whistling at the huge amount. His client has a vast property on the western coast of Orsica with an enormous house on top of a mountain that was accessible mainly through cable car. Of course, he can afford a private boat!

Jon took off his eyeglasses and stood up. He looked at the large monitor with the flight schedule. Near the bottom was his flight with red capital letters indicating DELAYED.

Jon decided to stretch his legs and walked to a nearby bookstand where he looked for a travel guide on Orsica. Finding nothing, he asked the store clerk if there were any brochures or maps, but the clerk merely gave him a shrug and turned away  to serve another customer.

For such a beautiful island, I wonder why it was not too well known, thought Jon. Giving up, Jon decided to buy himself a cup of cappuccino from one of the coffee shops and sat at one of the empty tables. He brushed off the crumbs left by the previous customer with his hand and rested his elbow on the table's polished wooden surface. After taking one sip of the hot beverage, he thought of using his laptop again to research on his destination, but decided against it as he had his phone out already.

Using his phone's browser, he once again typed 'Orsica', but nothing came out this time. He looked at the signal at the top of his phone's screen where it was indicated to be 'very strong'. He wondered if the network was as congested as the air traffic. 

He remembered the short email he got from his rich client, Dante. "Dante… Dante…" He murmured as he recalled the 14th century Italian writer and his Divine Comedy. There were three parts to the epic poem, but for some reason, Jon only thought of the first one – Inferno. The images of hell flooded his mind – tormented souls that reside in the nine circles of hell. For a moment, he thought he could hear cries of anguish and pain as well as see writhing bodies amidst the red flames and scorching heat. 

Suddenly, he felt as if his hand was burning and he was back in the terminal sipping his hot cup of coffee. He sighed and drank the rest of his cappuccino and thought how it would be like living with Lisa when they get married. He has not asked her yet, but the thought had already crossed his mind hundreds of times in the past few weeks. Lisa does not show it, but he is sure that she misses him during these long business travels as much as he misses her.

When he said goodbye that morning, he remembered Lisa clinging to his hand as he bent down to kiss her on the forehead as she sat at the breakfast table. He wondered how she was and how she thought about where their relationship was going. Nowhere, he thought, as his work always came first. Perhaps this should be his last assignment before he transfers to a new job. What if he just leaves the terminal and go back to Lisa? Forget the flight… forget his work… forget his client… forget Dante…

Jon would think of this moment a few days later and regret deeply that he chose to board the plane and made the decision that led him to the path of disaster and ruin.

AUTHOR/GUY WITH BAD GRAMMER-(hi guys I just want to say that I was wondering were I should put the main character and it was mainly between America and England and I couldn't realy decide.And I even thought about just making it so that the two countries were connected together but after thinking I've gone for England since I can relate and tell the story easier.Also thanks for reading the story up to this point it means a lot so bye for now)





As the rain was pouring down in England like usual the street lamps glistend in the wind as they stood as straight as a king unlike,the scrunched up teen who was sitting at his computer near the window playing some rts games not noticing the pile of papers which were in the corner of the room next to the flimsy door.All over the room was papers and maps with formations and strategies for what looked like army plan's and routes there was also multiple pictures drawn of what was called his own soldiers.

One picture had a tall strong man in all black with behind him in the shadows figures ready to defend and attack for the man in black.Then there was the man who had a more modern look with many tanks and helicopters sourounding him and the other pictures were similar put with there own unique features.

he had a broken and tattered bed barley holding together and the only think that looked new was the pictures and computer.The most shocking thing was the teenager in the chair responsible for all this he was a 17 year old who name was Luther he was overal a normal guy with respectfully better looks then the average guy but he still was a model.He had short brown hair and had blue eyes and was  a normal when it came to height and when it came to his life it was best described as broken roller coaster.

It all started when he was 5 his parent's were fighting and his mom got angry at his dad beacuse of multiple reason which were the basic.Which was he was late coming back here and there and he wouldn't realy listen to his wife and also another reason was that he would let his kids have an unchained spirits.

That basically meant if one of his kids had a fight he would check how bad the damage was then tell the how to do better so if it happens again they can prevent it.Or if someone was making fun of his kids he would tell his kids appropriate comebacks so they wouldn't be bullied or at least have some self confidence.

He just wanted his kids to live there own lives,but he was still strict if they did wrong or crossed the line but his mom could be seen as a bit protective.So they constantly got into arguments with his dad as for the other reason for the argument like his dad being late.Was for multiple reasons like the weather or if he saw a gang he would have to take a detore,since he didn't want to take the risk since he knew one of them had a knife hidden on them.

And he had a good reason for ignoring her which was that she would constantly cause drama and bad mouth people.And his dad so he ignored her since it was always the same thing with no reason for saying it.

This would keep happening until he was 8 when they got a divorce and his mom took him and his sister and two brothers.

For a couple of months his mom debated if she should go back with him when she decided.To go and ask him for forgiveness since she did see some of the bad things she said and done but when she got to his flat/apartment she saw him with another woman.
Which enraged her they had a massive argument and then something broke in his mom's head and she grabed a knife whilst his dad was looking the other way.She stabbed him 8 times in the back and he fell on the ground and bled out whilst the other woman got stabbed 15 times in the chest and also died.


His mom by now had forgotten who she was and only rembered her and how the family use to be when it was happy.And his mom didn't want that to end so she went back to the home and silently went up to her kids.She hadn't realised thay Luther was awake and in the bathroom prushing his teeth as she opened his older brothers door.And pulled the door back a bit behind her his brothers who was 10 and 11 were sound asleep and Luther finished brushing his teeth.And creeped over and looked into the room from the door which was slightly open to see his mom with a already bloody knife with her husband's blood on it as he saw this he didn't think it was his mom.So he remembered what his dad said to him that if someone is In the house who you don't know grab you siblings and hide or run so he quickly ran to his little sisters room whilst trying not to make a sound.He opened her door and took her out of bed she was only 5 so she wonder what was happening and he closed both there doors.Then went back into the bathroom just in time as his mom walked past and went into his room lucky he had big covers so his mom still thought he was there. So he ran down stairs and heard his mom screaming frantically that the whole city could hear,he opened the front door to be greeted with 8 to 12 police officers with tasers and pistols aimed which the quickly lowered and told the kids to come to then which he did and ran into the arms with his sister of a police man.
With tears in both there eyes the police order his mom to come out which she did,once she dropped the knife she was tackled to the ground and put in hand cuffs.Blood dripped off all her body which he knew was his brothers after that his mom got took into custody.When he was 10 she was put in prison for 10 years.she was lucky since they had taken into account the divorce and the strain she had on her.

He only ever saw her one time which was when he was 13 he basically stripped her off the right to call him her son and told her to never come in contact with him or his sister.

But fate was too cruel to him as when his sister was also 13 she killed herself out of regret and guilt.Now Luther was all alone and had to survive by himself luckily when he got into college he found 2 friends who he actually liked.He never realy got into trouble with anyone since they left him alone and he did the same and has a peaceful time at college.

But he will soon find something that will change him and the world forever.

In the world of fibre generals there is a multi- government funded projects to create super soldiers with unique abilities.however they don't tell the researchers the true meaning of the project and they think it's for medical purposes.however the government gets what they want but at a price.
