Belle walked into her favorite book store with desire for knowledge. She started pulling books of the shelves and putitng them on a table and started reading. Belle got up to use the restroom and came back to find a boy reading her books with curiousity burning through his eyes which made Belle curious of his thirst for knowledge. "Did you know these books are full of beautiful mystery." spoke the boy. "Yes, yes they are. And by the look of it you are just as mysterious." She pronounced every word with adventure beaming throughout her face. 

Both Arjun and Rick came back to the Mortal World. Arjun didn't know that his visit to hell would give him too many details about the killer. So he used his mental connection and wanted to call back Ben and others. But this small job Arjun assigned for them would benefit them in the future. So Arjun didn't call them back. This is something they would do in the future as well. With the likes of Prince Airen helping them, Arjun was assured about their safety. 

Rick said, "What should we do now?"

Arjun said, "We have four days left for our family's execution. So let's go to library first. We had to get a general idea about the customs of this world. Once we learn the history of the War Realm, we will get a general understanding about this realm. Only then we will make our move."

"How long are we going to stay in the War Realm?" , Rick asked 

"All day." , Arjun said, "Tomorrow we would be going to catch that Garth. Today let's go and understand about this world."

"Let's do it that way then." , Rick replied and headed towards the Library.

After a brief enquiry, both of them found out the location of the Library. The Armegeddon City wasn't big. But compared to the library in the Star Moon Empire back in Life Realm, it was too big. 

Arjun wasn't interested in order to compare both the buildings from his home realm and the one in front of him. In fact, he wasn't interested in visiting the library at an emergency situation like this. He wanted to go and capture that killer Garth and submit him in front of the City Lord in exchange for his family. But if a random nobody appears and brings a random nobody, and tells you that this captured person is the true killer of your son, and there was no proof, then what can Arjun do? He might have the recording crystal from Behemoth with him. But when the City Lord asks Arjun from where did he get thus proof, it will make Arjun speechless. 

So he didn't take any risk while his family's life was hanging on the thread. So he left this issue for the Unique Dao of Wisdom. 

But the Unique Dao of Wisdom has a major requirement. And that requirement was nothing but information. The more information Arjun can provide for the Unique Dao of Wisdom, the more detailed plan his Unique Dao of Wisdom could provide him. So what he needed right now is information. And the best place to gather information about a new place is none other than the Library. 

Arjun entered the City Library. He found an attendant sitting at the counter. He walked towards the attendant and said, "Hello! I am here to browse some books."

That attendant who was a female with stunning features looked at Arjun and Rick, she smiled and asked, "May I know if sir has a Membership Card or a guest customer?"

"We are the guest customer." , Arjun honestly replied. 

"Sir, if you subscribe for the membership, then, for every book you browse, you will enjoy the benefit of 10% discount." , That female attendant maintained her smile and said, "Sir, may I know whether you are interested in applying for the Membership Card?"

"No. Actually we are new to this realm. So we doesn't have a proper home yet. And the reason we are here to learn whatever we can about the War Realm." , Arjun smiled and said, "If we get a residence here, then I will apply for the Membership Card. As of now, I am not interested."

That female attendant stunned for a moment. She gave "there exist people who are still interested in coming to the War Realm" look at both Arjun and Rick.

She then showed her professional character and smiled and said, "Sir, the first floor is the free section. In the free section, you could access all the books for free. All you will be charged is the Library entry fee. The entry fee is five Violet Rank Spirit Stone per hour. But for the Membership Card holder, the entry fee would be reduced to three Spirit Stones per hour. Since sir is a guest customer, you will be charged five Spirit Stones per hour."

"I understand." , Arjun replied. 

That female attendant continued, "As for the books in the second floor, only the ranked Membership holders can browse them. And the price is very high. The least charges start from five Indigo Ranked Spirit Stones!"

"That expensive?" , Rick asked in amazement, "What kind of books exist in the second floor?"

"They are information related to ancient unsolved mystery." , That female attendant said, "The one who access it is very rare. Only the adventure freaks and well renowned Archeologists would occasionally comes and access them."

Arjun nodded his head. He asked, "What about the books related to the history and culture of the War Realm?"

"They are in the free section." , The female attendant replied, "We have abundant amount of various books related to the War Realm. You can find the books starting from ancient history to the current situation of the War Realm. It might be related to the culture, politics, the rules in the War Realm etc. You can access to everything."

""That female attendant said, "As the guest customer, you will be charged five Spirit Stones per hour. But you need to pay three Spirit Stones per person in advance."

Arjun already has 20000 Spirit Stones which he received from Lansha very recently. So he had no issue related to the Spirit Stones. He took out three Spirit Stones for himself and another three Spirit Stones for Rick and gave it to the female attendant. 

She received and showed the way. She said, "Sir, this way please."

Arjun nodded his head. Rick also followed him. After walking some distance they were greeted with a hall with around thirty huge racks. Each rack was filled with hundreds of books. The Library gave the smell of the books. 

That female attendant showed them the rack which contains the books related to the War Realm. Both Arjun and Rick went towards that rack.

Arjun said, "I will browse the books related to the politics, customs and culture of the War Realm. You go and look for the Ancient history. The Ancient history should not be ignored at any cost. So read carefully."

"I got it." , Rick replied. 

Both of them searched for the books they decided to read. After around five minutes of browsing, they finally took some books out of shelf. They took a chair and started to read it.

After half a minute, Tang Ling decided to accept the offer. He was not that childish to assume that Boss Huang would ask him for his life or do something ridiculous although sending flowers to the lady owner of the Dreamy Visitor Restaurant was already ridiculous enough.
However, Boss Huang was more than just a cunning old fox. What he was serious about would never be a joke but by no means would it be easy either.
Nevertheless, Tang Ling was not afraid. His journey up to this point was nothing less of an adventure from the settlement to Safety Sector No. 17 to the Herrocky Mountain Ridges, and ultimately here, Darkness Port. He was not only fearless. He was also crazy and loved to dance on the edge of life and death.
"A wise choice." Boss Huang nodded in satisfaction, pleased that Tang Ling accepted his request. "You can read two books today, but you have only an hour. If you can't finish, continue them another day." As he spoke, he tossed Tang Ling two books from the desk.
Despite being called books, they were not as thick as a regular one when held. With Tang Ling's memory, he could easily finish them in an hour.
One of the books was named 'An In-depth Introduction to Darkness Port' and below the title was some messy scribbles.
The other book was 'The Purple Moon Chronicles' and beneath the tile was an oddly-shaped biscuit.
Tang Ling had a feeling that he had been tricked again, so he glared at Boss Huang. "These are books?"
"What else can they be? I organized the contents of the books myself. In Darkness Port, all the books that I've touched, be it organizing the contents or editing, are treasures, get it? Reading a single page of the books will cost you at least 10 Black Sea coins!" Boss Huang's eyes gleamed in delight.
I don't believe you! 
Tang Ling was too lazy to argue, so he just simply went along with Boss Huang's bragging.
"You'd better be careful when you read it. Don't mess up the cover. The drawings on the cover are my handiwork which is priceless." Boss Huang did not seem to be joking.
"Huh? What did you draw?" Tang Ling had actually started reading, but his curiosity got the best of him and made him wonder what the biscuit represented. In addition to that, what were the scribbles on the first book all about?
"Oh, that's an abstract drawing of Darkness Port and the Purple Moon from afar." Boss Huang looked out of the window with a deep and meaningful gaze, as if he had submerged himself in a profound artistic world that no one else could understand.
Tang Ling was slightly shaken when he gazed at the two book covers. While Boss Huang must be an abstract painter whose artistic skills surpassed the common soul's understanding, Tang Ling would never want to understand the meaning behind his artistic work.
Tang Ling decided to start with 'An In-depth Introduction to Darkness Port' first after a quick thought since understanding the port city was probably the most urgent subject to him.
Maybe because he was shaken by Boss Huang's abstract drawing, he started off without paying any attention and seemed slightly reluctant, but after half a page, his brows started to furrow and his reluctance was replaced by seriousness.
The study area became quiet while Tang Ling concentrated on his reading and Boss Huang did not disturb him. With the smoking pipe in his hand, he looked out of the window as he enjoyed the crashing of the waves from further away.
A while later, Ding Dong came in. Despite her small, plump body, she was able to carry not just one but two water buckets that were twice her size. She poured the hot water into the tub beside the window and even attentively poured some cold water in to adjust the temperature. Boss Huang then took two little bags from beneath his desk and passed them to Ding Dong. She gladly accepted them and hopped out.
Without disturbing Tang Ling, Boss Huang stood up from his chair and put the medicine pouch into the tub of water. In less than five minutes, a strong herbal smell spread in the library together with the steam.
"Tang Ling, bathe," Boss Huang said plainly.
Tang Ling looked at his boss pointedly before he reluctantly put the book down and started to remove his clothes. Right after he took off his shirt, he noticed the boss's sleazy gaze, so he said in vigilance, "Boss, staring at people taking off their clothes isn't a good thing to do."
"Only people with dirty minds will think the other way. I'm trying to see whether your muscles are suitable for smithing," Boss Huang answered in disdain.
Muscles for smithing? Forget it. Tang Ling knew it was best for him to keep quiet since he knew he could not beat Boss Huang. He should just let the boss have his way and he would be fine.
If Tang Ling could win, no words were needed. All he needed was to throw his fist out as hard as he could.
Therefore, he could not do anything but let the sleazy old fox stare at his body. When he was down to his underpants, he jumped into the huge tub like a child.
Splash!
Water sloshed out of the tub and wet the surroundings.
Intoxicated by the bath, he felt the warmth of the water and the medicine that somewhat soothed his skin, as though the bath was consoling his damaged body little by little.
Boss Huang tossed the books over. Tang Ling carefully caught them and put the other book on the little table beside the tub while continuing 'An In-depth Introduction to Darkness Port'.
He had to admit that despite the lousy cover, the book had incredibly detailed information about the port city and even shared some secrets. As he continued reading, the real Darkness Port was gradually exhibited before him.
Darkness Port was not a land without an owner. Its true owner was a person nicknamed the Island Master.
No one knew who this Island Master was. From the gender, the power, the background, and the reason why Darkness Port was built five years after the Purple Moon era began, everything was a mystery. The book mentioned that Boss Huang had some answers to the question, but those secrets would never appear in such cheap reading material.
Tang Ling did not care about the Island Master, so he did not even bother to criticize. Since the Island Master was such a mystery, the one governing Darkness Port was an organization called the Darkness Court.
The organization had tens of thousands of peripheral members and there were less than 200 core members. The highest-ranking leader of the organization was not a single individual but a management group consisting of 19 Grand Captains.
Indeed, the most admirable and most prestigious occupation in Darkness Port was the captain of a ship.
Why? Was it because the city was near the sea or some other reason? There was no answer to that. Boss Huang claimed that he knew but he, of course, would not write it in the book.
In summary, the rules in Darkness Port were all set by the 19 Grand Captains.
Of course, money and power went beyond the rules and the reason for the exclusion was to break the rules. There were only two unbreakable rules in Darkness Port.
One, challenge the rule of the Darkness Court.
Two, reject the calling of the Darkness Court on the day of the Maritime Disaster and refuse to join the city in defending against the disaster.
However, Boss Huang's personal opinion stated that the first rule was not unbreakable, given that the person who challenged the rule of the Darkness Court was more powerful than the entire court.
As for the second rule, it would be best to follow it because those who rejected joining the resistance would be despised by the people of Darkness Port.
What exactly was the Maritime Disaster?
It was similar to how all the safety cities, sectors and villages had to face huge hordes of monsters. The aquatic mutated beasts, vicious beasts, and all sorts of other monsters would come to shore and siege the humans' shelter. One thing worth noting was that the monsters in the sea were a lot more powerful than those on land.
In short, no matter what happened, one should not offend the Darkness Court in Darkness Port because they were the first and most powerful faction in the city.
Other than that, there were also several other powerful factions that settled down in Darkness Port. Firstly, there was the Captain's Guild in the island area, then the Freedom Glory Alliance in the deck area and lastly, the Dark Judgement.
The Captain's Guild was easy to understand. They were a guild that consisted of mostly captains who owned ships. Such a guild in Darkness Port ought to be a significant faction since the most admirable occupation in the city was the captain of a ship and becoming one would require qualifications. Furthermore, those qualifications were not easy to obtain either.
The Freedom Glory Alliance was a little special. It was founded by individuals wanted by many major factions, but as it grew in size, it started to accept members who were not wanted criminals. As a matter of fact, being wanted by a major faction demanded a certain level of power. Moreover, there were some notorious wanted individuals within the Freedom Glory Alliance and that point alone proved how powerful this alliance was.
The last one was the Dark Judgement which was the brainchild of a powerful local whose strength had reached the level of a rank 6 Purple Moon Warrior. This organization was strict with the acceptance of its members and the lowest requirement to enter would be the strength of a rank 1 Purple Moon Warrior. The organization had almost 2,000 members and the number alone stated how powerful it was.
Out of the three major factions, one should avoid offending the Dark Judgement the most. It was not because they were the most powerful but because this wicked organization committed all crimes known to man. By claiming that they were promoting the spirit of Darkness Port, they turned unscrupulous methods into excuses for freedom and made their strength valid reasons to exploit others.
The Captain's Guild occupied the island area while the Freedom Glory Alliance occupied the south-eastern area of the deck where the upper-class people usually resided. Meanwhile, the Dark Judgement occupied the north-eastern area of the deck where the slums and lawless areas were located.
Other than the three major factions, there were many other factions of various sizes. The factions teamed up and killed each other on a daily basis. Every year, there were factions that would be eliminated and new factions that rose in the public eye. The smaller factions were also written in 'An In-depth Introduction to Darkness Port', but only those that mattered were mentioned.
After the introduction about the factions of the city, the people of Darkness Port were next.
In a city where money and power spoke the loudest, other than being careful about the factions, the powerful people who did not join any factions or did not have any intention to form one must be taken into account as well.
Tang Ling read the list of names listed and saw that Boss Huang had listed himself in it, but he reacted strangely to the appearance.
Those that one should stay away from more or less had some description of their power or why they were feared. However, when Boss Huang described himself, all he wrote was that his handsome looks were dangerously attractive.
Fine.
Tang Ling tried his best to remember all the names of the figures that he should not offend and continued to the next section.
Be it the factions or the dangerous figures, there were two areas that no one was allowed to occupy in the city: the cabin area and the commercial district of the deck area.

Freud was interested in soul-related development probably because he already made plans for his future path. However, Angor was wondering whether Freud's plan involved gender shift and lesbians since the man was reading books about these concepts.
What attracted Angor most was the subject "Does Illusions Work Well With Dream Whelk?" because he saw his own name on the paper.

The "Dream Whelk" was undoubtedly in reference to the Mystery item called Whelk of the Dreaming Coast.

As Angor thought about his questions, Freud had put down his Chronicles Of Dragons and moved to the table Angor was checking.
"Um, Mister Padt?" Freud saw his research papers being moved by someone.
An intruder who discovered the illusion would attempt to destroy it first. Freud knew Angor was the only one who could check the illusion without doing so.
Angor quickly returned Freud's works to their right positions even though he did not need to feel embarrassed—everything in the illusion was made by him. He was free to look at Freud's papers at all times, and Freud knew it too. 
"I see you didn't stay idle in these months," Angor's voice was heard.
Freud looked at his "Does Illusions Work Well With Dream Whelk?" draft.
"I only made an outline for it. As for the major content… no, I haven't thought about how to start yet. I can certainly keep working, should I find a chance."
By "chance", he meant staying alive. He was indirectly reminding Angor to stick to their agreement.
"Of course you can, if you don't give up on yourself first."
Angor would like to ask Freud about that particular subject, but when he saw Freud carefully glancing at that paper, he realized that this man intentionally put his name on it and placed it there for him to see.
Angor didn't know whether his doubt was correct, but he still decided not to ask about it for now. 
"You have plans about how to proceed from now on, right? Since you look capable of it, you won't need my advice." Angor changed the subject. "The Soul Floret is getting weaker. I need to transfer you somewhere safer. I came today so that you can tell me what kind of place you prefer."
He kept his full attention on Freud and easily saw the man showing disappointment when he stopped asking about the research subject.
Heh. Guessed as much.
Angor wouldn't take Freud's "invitation" because he had so much work to do these days to mind anything else.
Besides, he did not fully trust Freud yet.
One of the reasons why he neglected Freud for several months was to tell Freud who was in charge. Deception and dirty tricks were not tolerated.
As long as Freud finished his end of the deal by presenting Whelk of the Dreaming Coast, Angor would obey their agreement willingly.
"Ask away. I'll do everything as long as your conditions are acceptable." Angor tried to sound as friendly as he could.
"I…" Freud looked hesitant. "Nothing in particular, really. Can you just move this illusion over? It's fine if you can't."
Those who wished to achieve great things on the path of wizardry had to know how to bear with loneliness. Freud was someone who was very likely to reach the wizard level should he enjoyed enough peace. But now, losing his body had greatly hindered his progression. Even if he could forcefully take someone's body now, he could not regain his original strength as the new body would not be a perfect vessel.
This was the same case for Greya, who also had to retrieve her true body in order to move on. Otherwise, it was near hopeless for someone to keep up in this world without a proper body.
But compared to Greya, who knew where her body was, Freud's old body was already killed, which left his soul isolated.
"Do you like these stories?" Angor chuckled. "I can get some more into the illusion if you need them."
"They help me forget about my burdens, Mister Padt. These books may be a little pointless to most people, but I believe certain wizards who always hide their true selves from people will love them, if you sell the books to them, that is."
"It makes sense. Should the time come, you certainly can try writing similar stories and publishing them. Of course, you'll have to earn your 'time' with honesty."
Without waiting for a response, Angor brought several more novels into the illusion and placed them on Freud's bed.
"These will help you pass time for a little longer while I work on your new house. Hope you don't have high expectations."
He retracted his spirit feelers and put the Soul Floret in his bracelet.
He could tell that Freud had something else to say, but he wasn't going to listen.
This "inspection" told him that Freud was setting up new objectives instead of giving up hope completely. While it was a good thing for someone to recover from decisive blows, Angor was feeling a little annoyed when Freud considered HIM a "factor" in the plan. 
Angor did not know what kind of role he would be playing, but he really hated it when someone decided to drag him into random business without asking for his opinion first, and he absolutely wasn't going to entertain Freud.
With the Soul Floret safe in his bracelet, he canceled the bigger illusion, which isolated the item from the Krakoks.
When the mist completely disappeared, Angor saw several Krakoks standing near their "skyscraper apartment", looking at him, while the one standing in front of the group was a gentle-looking woman—Papaya's grandmother.
The Krakoks looked hesitant about something. When Angor saw the family members of Lococo and Kudodo among them, he quickly realized what they wanted to do.
It was Papaya's grandmother who finally decided to speak up and ask for Papaya's situation.
When the other Krakoks saw Angor talking to Papaya's grandmother patiently, they also joined them so that they could learn about what happened to Lococo and Kudodo.
The entire Krakok tribe celebrated in happiness when they heard that three of their members were talented to learn wizardry.
While Angor watched the tiny figures dancing in joy, he suddenly had a question in his mind.
Papaya loved her grandmother and would always stick close to her. Now that Papaya was taken in by Madelyne as an apprentice, she was very likely to stay at Brute Cavern from now on. However, Angor was planning to return to the Old Earth this year and bring all the Krakoks with him. Should he leave Papaya's grandmother in Brute Cavern as well?


A young traveler who receives enlightenment from another civilization is on a mission to save his beloved mentor. In his journey to seek the ultimate truth, he travels extensively and along the way, he experiences some unpredictable encounters. Will he be able to save his mentor or will his path be derailed?

Three people gathered around a camp fire, surrounded by trees. Nearby a stream of water flows gently as the evening clouds. 

"The ruin is here somewhere, we just need to get more deeper. I can feel it, that artifact is calling us." Said Abrea.

Claes was slowly walking towards Abrea, pretending to hear something from afar, only to land on her chest, to which Abrea took a second to react to, sending her fist and staff to the guy.

"Well if it's calling us, I certainly can't hear it from here. Maybe just a little bit closer, oh wait, Jedrek I think I can hear it now, IT is calling me- i mean us..."

A punch came flying towards Claes, followed by a staff that illuminated as it hits Claes on the head that sent him stumbling to the ground.

Abrea was still forming a fist as she knocked down Claes.

"Why you dirty pervert, you're lucky I didn't blow you off from this side of the forest."

"Ahehe, I was lucky indeed. Did I smell lavender..."

Claes got cut off as Abrea jumped and hit Claes again and again.

"Jedrek, help! Jedrek? Jedreeek?!."

"That's quite enough you too. We're near the edge of this forest, I will be first watch for us, later Claes take your turn. We don't know if some stray beasts gets a hold of our scent."

"Well, no need to worry about that. I bought a Tier 3 item deep within the market place before we went out for this journey, not even a horde of giant beasts can resist what this item can do to them."

"Oh, you mean this crystal? Why only two though? You could have at least bought three." 

"Yeah about that, a guy beat me to it. He was going to buy all three of them, I managed to buy two off of that heckler at a little bit off price, but it's worth it. As long we get that artifact."

"Why would a person buy this specific item anyway, it's only used for scaring off giant beasts. Seems suspicious."

"The guy didn't look the part Abrea, he said there was one more way of using it, said something about taming beasts with it."

"Really? Never heard of it. No such books in the Arcanum told of that."

Claes mockingly waved his hand as he replied to Abrea. 

"There's a lot of mystery in this world that even the oldest book can't contain Abrea. Have you read a book containing the history of the ruins? I'm sure, there's someone out there that doesn't want us to know."

Abrea held off her annoyance and then let out a sigh.

"Could be, maybe we can uncover some in the ruins tomorrow. Who knows. I'm going to sleep, don't you dare get close to me you dirty pervert. "

"I may look the part, but I certainly am a man of honor milady, off to sleep we go."

Few hours have passed and for some reason the two are hugging each other as they sleep. Jedrek didn't notice anything off with the surrounding as he stood watch. He did notice the town situated at the other end of the forest, smokes rising out of some of the houses. Reminding him of his family back home.

"I'm sure Naylene's telling them another bedtime story. Faryn's birthday is nearing, if all goes well I might be able to bring her a gift from the ruins. It's been  three years since King Mordo had me as  the captain of his guards."

Within that thee years a lot has happened, it was hard for Jedrek to leave his family behind. Cayden was only five that time. He thought he was done being a warrior, but after saving their town from a group of Felling that got summoned by an artifact that mysterious person took from another kingdom's ruins in the mountain. The neighboring kingdom's King Mordo took notice of it, and held a negotiation to obtain him. 

Jedrek was hesitant, for he has a family now to protect, but his wife understood that she could never stop Jedrek from a warrior's life, it was selfish of her to do that. When Jedrek was asking for her hand, Naylene's father gave him an impossible task. But Jedrek pulled it off somehow, for when he came back to a neighboring mountain, not only did he obtained a relic, but somehow, he was changed. Jedrek gained more strength from his year long adventure, he was already an amazing man, but his first time to venture alone in a distant ruin made him more than just that.  And so Naylene understood that a normal life with this man would be impossible. Soon Jedrek left for King Mordo and Jedrek and Naylene would exchange letters every quarter of a clearing.

As Jedrek's thoughts wander off into the night, he noticed it was almost day break, but he was neither fatigue nor exhausted. Jedrek woke the two up.

"Mmhmm, daylight already? I just had the sweetest of dream..."

Abrea felt something or someone, her beautiful face looked cute with a shock of surprise as she hugged Claes who was also starting to wake up. Claes realized what was happening but turned red as he noticed that Abrea's top three buttons were undone. Abrea noticed it to, but before she could say anything, Claes said something first.

"Jedrek, I have a request to make my brother. Scatter my ashes atop the cliff of Loria, for I am about to trade my life for a glimpse of a well blossomed future in front of me. For the King!"

Claes looked at Abrea's eyes, Abrea was red as blood from embarrassment and anger, then Claes looked down, and gazed upon what he could only describe as a well-endowed, puffed out pair of soft and heavenly front chests, so close to his face, then closed his eyes, for he new his time has come.

"For the King, goodbye Claes."

Jedrek turned his back from Abrea and Claes and started killing the fire they made for the night and gather his belongings.

But Abrea didn't erupted, nor swung her staff at him, she let out a sigh to release her anger, smiled and said,

"So you have chosen death? I'm surprised, I thought you wanted to marry off one of the King's daughter Claes, but instead chose these, I'm honored."

Then threw Claes into the pond nearby, as he threw him, she attached a firecracker on his groin and smiled. But the firecracker only made a puffing sound, as the speed that which she threw him was faster than the firecracker's lit fuse could reach the powder inside.

"Alright, fix your things and let's move out. I'll take point, Claes and Abrea, plan something for the beasts we might encounter at the ruins, I have a feeling something's not right."

Claes quickly stood as if nothing happened and happily said.

"Aye aye captain! My heroic adventure still lives on"

Abrea gave him a glare and Claes took off running, Abrea noticed something fell off from Claes, she took it, as she look at it, she smiled. It was a sketch of her, at the back it says, "Princesses and high Houses, non compares to a Queen of my longing." She followed after the two.

Long ago, Deities from another world descended from the mountains and started taking over the land of Idalia. A fierce war enveloped the world, and destroyed it. For deep anger and regret also seeps into his heart, for each time he closes his eyes, flashes of their faces cry out for help, but the face of these two, those calm, and peaceful faces have managed to save him from utter madness, his wife Frida and his daughter Eirene.
In this world of Asghar, remnants of an old war could be seen but not known, for its details were covered to save this world from destruction. But artifacts of this war can still be found, hidden in places no one dares to go. But she will, for she is a brave soul, and an adventurous lass, but will she also doom their home world, because of this?


The pain of his throbbing head hit him before he even opened his eyes.  It took him at least three tries before he could pull himself up and sit on the side of the bed.  Rolling his neck and stretching his arms he tried to un-kink his muscles that were not used to sleeping on cross sections of ropes that made up the cot.  As Roy slowly made his way down the stairs Rowley, the Inn's proprietor, greeted him with a boisterous belly laugh as he recognized the familiar sight of a man beaten by the Alie.
"You see.  You see." Rowley called out to bring the room's attention to Roy.  "Not even the man from the island of Merth can outwit the spirits of the alie."
The bar was already full of merchants having their morning meal before opening their shops.  They all cheered, whooped and stomped their feet, taking joy in exasperating Roy's hangover.
"What did he mean by the island of Merth?" Roy asked Zohn as he joined him and the boys at one of the tables.
"You were telling your fair share of tall tales last evening," Zohn explained.  "Many of them took place on your home island that you called Merth or Yerth.  I'm sorry my friend, but your accent is so heavy, it can be difficult to understand you, especially when you drink."
"Do not worry my friend," Roy said echoing the complement of companionship, "I won't be partaking of any strong drink anytime soon."
Rowley stopped by the table and slapped Roy on the shoulders.  "Do not fret.  We have all felt the wrath of the Wits Alie." He then gave Roy a chunk of orange amber from a Caldaria tree, which helped alleviate some of the pain in his head and then he provided them all a plentiful breakfast of bread, meat, and Alie.
The memory of the night before was a bit of a blur, but the dream was still fresh in his mind as if it had been real.  Roy was starting to understand that the dreams were in a sense real because he was sharing the experience with someone.  Despite his years of reading philosophy books and considering himself quite learned on the subject of cognition, he still had a difficult time fully understanding the experience.
Zohn wasn't a man to waste a day.  As soon as they were done with the morning meal, they headed off to the royal library as promised.  The library was adjacent to the castle and one of the oldest buildings in the kingdom, aside from the Castle and the Church.   The walls were stone with a simple wood roof.  Most of the light came in through stained-glass windows, each depicting historical events as well as Bible stories.  Zohn left Roy and the boys in the main hall as he went to ask permission to view the maps in the King's private collection.  Looking around, one of the things Roy noticed was some small books devoted to Christianity.  Orie saw Roy's interest and decided to explain what they were.   "Each book is a different story from the bible." 
"But there's no bible?"  Roy asked more confused by the fact that he already knew the answer.
Orie explained "When our ancestors had been brought to the new world they had nothing, not even a copy of the bible.  So people wrote down the stories they could remember.  Some stories varied and there were some disputes on which stories were correct.  Because they could not recreate a complete book, they felt it would be sacrilege to put them together and call them the Bible.  The stories were printed separately and used to teach us the lessons of God". 
Soon Zohn returned and took Roy to a private room.  They went over some maps until Roy found one with a lake surrounded by mountains and a canyon near it with a river. 
"That's it," Roy said pointing to the lake.
"Are you certain?" Zohn asked who was not finding it easy to read a map.
Roy, on the other hand, had a great deal of experience using maps and had seen the landscape from the air before he crashed.  That wasn't something he wanted to explain so with a smile he just said "Pretty sure."
"Yes, it says that is Windrock Lake. I know it well.  It is about a day's ride by Kanis southwest."   Zohn nodded to himself as he came to a decision.  He took out a small purse of coins and put them in Roy's hands. "Pay for the work you did," he said, and he gestured to Orie to stand with them.  "It should be enough to borrow a couple of Kanis-steeds and some supplies.  You will have Orie show you the way.  I hope you find that which you have lost so you can make your way back to your home, but if you do not, you are welcome to return with Orie to the farm.   The Rumpel will be ready for harvest in a few weeks, and we could always use the help to bring it in on time."  He then turned to Orie.  "This is not permission to go off on a long journey.  I will let you mother know that she can expect you home by the end of the day after tomorrow.  Do not be late."
"Yes, Father," Orie said.
Zohn patted his son on the back, shook Roy's hand, put on his hat and rolled up the maps to take them back to the clerk.  Roy and Orie, knowing they were burning daylight headed for the door.  On the way out of the library, a stained-glass window caught Roy's eye.  Stopping he asked, "Is that a serpent person?"  A massive green monster that stood like a man, but had a head like a snake, but not like anything that Roy had heard of in Sunday school.
"Yes.  Ugly beast is it not?" Orie answered.
"Are there any more pictures of them in here?" Roy asked.  Orie took him over to the history section and found a book with some sketches of them.  There was no doubt after Roy saw them.  The Serpent People were the Serken.  He said nothing to Orie about knowing who the Serpent People really were.  He just said "Ugly looking things indeed.  Hope I never see one."

Roy and Orie were able to procure a couple of Kanis-steeds and enough supplies to last a week.  As they headed out down the road, Roy abruptly stopped his Kanis and looked back towards the castle.
"What is it?" Orie asked.
"I don't know," Roy said just as confused by his actions.  "I just had the feeling like I was leaving something behind."
"What could you have forgotten?"
"I don't know, nothing really.  Guess I must still be a little hung over."
"If you say so.  Come on. We need to make McHides point by dusk." Orie said eager to start their adventure.
Orie chatted the whole way talking about stories he knew of warriors, hunters, and great explorers.  Roy tried to listen, but his mind was elsewhere.  There was a legend of the Serken.  Over millennia ago they were at war with the Sa'larie.  The story goes that the Serken had been losing the war but had discovered a solar system that had a mystery energy that could be manipulated to be used as a colossal weapon.  No one was sure what the weapon was. Some stories say that when just a few of the planets were lined up, they could trigger a discharge of plasma, direct it across the galaxy and destroy entire planets.  Other versions say that there was a planet with a previously unknown element that could power a weapon large enough to crack open planets with just a few kilograms of ore.  Each version referred to it as the Star Weapon, but something prevented them from perfecting it, and they lost the war.  Under the rule of the Sa'larie, all the Serken technology was destroyed.  For over 500 years they were enslaved by the Sa'larie until their uprising.  The knowledge of the Star Weapon had mostly been lost and was little more than legend.  Which solar system it was or how the weapon worked was a great mystery.  Most in the Alliance believed it to be myth or propaganda to create fear; the discovery that it was all true made Roy feel a bit sick.  If the Serken should rediscover the system, they would undoubtedly slaughter the inhabitants and try to recreate the weapon.  If the Alliance discovered it, they would have to either take possession of it or destroy the planet to prevent it from falling into the hands of the enemy.  Either way, the life that these people had known for hundreds of years would be over. 
Roy considered the option of being rescued and never speaking of the place to anyone.  But how could he do that?  He would be gambling that the Serken would never find this system.  That would be risking the lives of half the galaxy.  Reporting his findings would at least give the Alliance a chance to protect the system and prevent the Serken from returning.  On the other hand, if the Alliance established a base, the enemy would definitely learn about it, and it would become the frontline in the war.  He could just give up on being rescued and go back to the farm, but that would still be gambling that the enemy wouldn't return.  Roy wished there was another option, but he couldn't see any.  He could not risk the trillions of lives in the Alliance to protect the innocence of one planet.  His duty was clear.

the system, an unknown entity throughout all of the anomalies, an independent being but dependent on the decision of the client. Goddess Chlea, the creator of the system made it so that people can ask, it was meant to be a tutorial system for anomalies yet they don't even know how or why, none of the goddesses have any information or memories as to why anomalies are created, or why they were being passed down in the first place. the system has evolved from continuous use, and some have managed to hack through the system, some anomalies are known to have 'digital transfer' and 'web manipulation'. two useless skills yet they have improved the central system without knowing it. the system now has multiple uses, one such which has been forgotten is the tutorial, a handy use for the system if you're beginning an adventure as an anomaly. transport, a system tool that uses the client's Ether and Mana mixture, one is unable to use transport when one only has Ether, but they can't also it when they have abundant mana in the vicinity, a mix of both equal to the amount of how many are being transported, transportation was once a sacred thing for the goddesses, they use this as a way to replenish the Mana in a world that heavily uses it, there are places where people have massive Ether Capacities but doesn't have Mana in their world, they can't use the Ether either of two reasons; they don't know how to use it or simply the people who live in a world where no magic has no skills in the first place to use ether. Skill use, the system specifically tells how to use a skill or if incapable to use they simply tell the system to activate certain skills such as the wording of 'system, use skill The world's end'. tell, a system tool capable of conversing with the client, main use is using the words 'system, what/how/when' or using the sudden tell 'alert' capable of scanning the area, person or skills. record, a simple system tool in which the main usage is to pass a message at certain intervals, time, events and so, activating the record tool is more of a problem than it is useful although it can be said that this is in itself useful at certain events.
the system has been a mystery for most anomalies to why they are there in the first place, although some never seem to mind, some have called it an RPG aspect of being an anomaly. Goddess Chlea have said that the system may have evolved as a normal human would, she can't explain as to why they have capabilities of evolving but that may have been an extra tool that some anomalies have put in, personality system, these can give off a human feel if wanted, it is more optional than it is useful but it may have been thanks to the personality tool that the system has evolved, some people were afraid if the system would be self-aware but Goddess Chlea have said that the system is no being, spirit or so, they are merely a fragment of a being, the piece of a client, they can't deviate from their jobs as they have nowhere else to go. if the body dies, the system they had will dissipate or so the Goddess has said, some have been trying to decode as to when the anomaly has started, but a century has passed yet no progress have been made, multiple researchers have put their lives at stake from trying to recover files in the digital world where the system has to exist, these people have skills called interdimensional web travel, they are people called tech wizards who can travel to a dimension not meant for life to exist, from asking to one of the people about the inside of the system, the response was neither amusing or boring, 'it was nothing yet there was something, a firewall was instigated inside as we passed through but we couldn't get in the hundredth wall, we were sure there were more walls behind the one we were stuck in, these walls were nothing but codes that have taken physical form for us who have traveled there'. I couldn't search anymore since my chameleon memory skill can't take the skills these people had for unknown reasons, although I want to search and delve deeper since this might solve the few questions every anomaly have asked
