With his character name Zephyr he made countless miracle one by one inside the game but since he's underage he cant join the world competitions and being ridiculous by the others. After that incident, when on world competitions, each guild who being participle to world competitions are being massacred by himself and create a legend. after the last guild who being destroyed by him, he's gone and not appeared anymore.

Five years after that incident, Feng now a high school student who not cared about the gaming competition suddenly interest in a new game called "The Legacy" which is a new Virtual Game Online. It really is a mystery. An A rank magic core is expensive, with the highest quality having the same price like that of a house, and yet Brother Ash uses it without a care in the world. If course, he put up a very powerful sealing magic to disguise it as well as to prevent anyone stealing it, but it just doesn't make any sense. All of it is in top notch in quality, like they're being replicated from a single magic core... How? I just can't understand him. The only possible explanation is if he got the legendary and mythical treasure chest that can replicate anything that is put inside of it, but there's no way that thing exist... right?

Right now, we are all forming a small circle among ourselves, taking a small break inside a canopy that was provided by Princess Nurhaliza. The kids and Kanji's friends are inside the camper van golem, and as for Sis Mira, Kana, Kanji and I... just why are we here, together with all the big shot... Kanji there basically has passed out, after repeatedly mumbling to himself "don't do anything stupid" "don't do anything stupid" hundreds of time. Kana, well, he rather adopted to this situation, maybe because of how much he had to meet all the important people while helping out Sis Mira. Still, the pressure, I just can't... there are literally few royalties, an S rank adventure who is also a noble, paladin that are credited to stop the succession war of the demon kingdom, and then there's me. I shouldn't even be here in the first place!

A battle royale, that's the battle format that is suggested by Brother Ash, and basically, almost anything goes. You can team up or go solo, you can prepare any health or mana potion beforehand, or you can steal it from your opponent. You can create a magic circle beforehand and fire it off anytime during the battle. You can even set a trap beforehand (supposedly, but Guild Master Ram prohibited it, in fear of unsuspecting civilians wander around too much and ended up hit it) Truly, a weird format but nonetheless, all participants are psyched up for it. I thing other prohibited thing include a fatal strike

The tournament will be held far away from the main road, on the first floor. Initially, we thought of using the training hall, but obviously with so much participant, the venue will be changed. Plus, doing it inside the dungeon is a great idea from Muse (who sadly can't join us) as the spectators can watch our battle from the watcher. The judge will be Guild Master Ram and surprise surprise, the rude captain... Yeah, that surprises us all... As for those who can participate, it's open for all except those S & SS rank adventure or deem equal to them. So Brother Ash isn't allowed to participate. Well, he will easily become the last man standing, so it's unfair for us should he join

"Alright, attention everyone! I'll explain the rules once more..." [Ram]

As we gather around, I scan those participating. There are various knight, soldier, adventures and mercenaries around. There are Master Jacks, Elemental archer, Sis Naoto and some other potential winner.

Right now, Lily is making an illusion of Elise and I, like we are there with them, when the truth is, the two of us are hiding inside their shadow. It's the shadow dive technique, something the vampire race proficient with, and can be accessed via either Dark magic or Mirage magic. Brother Ash thought us how to use it, he says a certain male vampire taught him. Still, the mana consumption is no joke... I'm glad the blessings of the ten heroes as well as the one from Holy Beast, Az come in handy. Plus, we can just chug down a mana potion or two whenever needed

And we take a corner, while both the guild master and the rude captain uses pegasus from the Valkyrie to scout us all from the sky, before

And with that signal, all of us take a defensive position, with our two illusion right in the center. Well, we aren't that useless just because we stay inside the shadow. We will occasionally resurface and fire our magic from a far, whittling down the number of opponents, but

Scouting the area a bit, I can see multiple clashes going on, of it, Master Jacks and Elemental archer, Sis Naoto stand out the most

Those two really are great! We might be opponent right now but their skill is a sight to behold. Master Jacks graceful wind slash from his katana, and Sis Naoto precise control over her bow and arrows. Truly, they're worthy of their A rank title

Elise shout. There's an axeman adventure trying to defeat us, but

Having lost his balance, Kadeus quickly grab the axeman left hand and throw him away, and

A powerful opponent. With a single swing from her lance, she quickly torn our formation apart. Using shadow dive, I quickly jump inside of her shadow before firing off dark and fire arrows but

She uses her strong light mana to drove me out. Well, the light mana illuminates her, and there's no shadow left for us to hide, so I instantly jump out, and cover for Elise. The ex paladin new weapon, inspired by Mrs Aries, she still hasn't master it, but

Using the pistol, Elise fire off three round of high velocity fire ball, dark arrow and light spear from it but alas

She blocks it with her paladin skill, before quickly hitting us all with the blunt side of the lance

It's a shame, but I don't have any complaints. The ex female paladin, she's strong. Worthy of her title. I hope her ceremony to become a paladin for Princess Diana and Saintess Rumia will goes well during the debutante party

As we go back into the main road, few carriages from a far catches our attention, and of course, among them, is a camper van golem with the orphanage symbol in it.

holy shit she is really muscle brain isn't she? to think she can survive and reach the S rank Adventure, but if she is really became S rank Adventure with that mindset I can somehow imagine how powerful Jade is, In this world there is so much dangerous can threaten your life it's not easy to survive only with your raw power you must improve, adapt and overcome in this Era, but to think Jade only have that mindset I don't really know how strong Jade is but for her to still alive and rank up to S Rank that mean Jade really have enough power to overthrown the dangerous situation if something occur, the proof is she recognized by the guild to become S rank.

because of our race the distance before we go out to from forest become only 2 days we took a race about 50 kilometers,  but because of this race too Jade exhausted her magic, she use magic constantly to her physical power and accelerate so in the end we must rest a bit to replenish our Magic, as for me I can still keep going on but still I feel exhausted too from using that much magic, I'm afraid if we keep going forward we gonna meet the monster in state of our magic is still exhausted to avoid worst scenario we will rest beside the lake first, by the way when we have a race some of Monster from forest try to attack us and catch us but they're failed because we're to fast and we abandoned them too, so we only focus to the race.
"by the way Jade I forgot to ask this when we left the cliff, before in the ruin the soldier and Irvin said that you're dragon emperor is that true?" 
while squeezing my shirt who wet, I asked Jade about her title
"ahh that Nick huh? well that's just a tittle you know"

"yes that was only title, basically the title is just like your nickname and the title was given by guild when you're become an S rank Adventure" 
"wait, so you mean when you become the S rank that's mean the guild gonna give you a nickname?"
"yes it is, for me because I'm from the dragon tribe and one of strongest fighter, dragon emperor is nickname more appropriate for me, oh and by the way there's two another person who is in dragon tribe like me and have that title"
"heee, is that so? that's mean there's three people from dragon tribe who is S rank Adventure?"
"yes, two of them was my acquaintance right now they're in Atlantis continent"
Jade inform me about the other two dragon emperor, she made a hard expression and from what I heard there's sound of sadenes in her tone, I feel there's something between them I don't want to pry from her past more than this cause I respect her if she doesn't want to tell it.

I tried to change the topic of our conversation.
"ahh, there's a neutral city close from there, Conrad City"

"as expected Len Len you really catch it fast, yes to be exactly the city is has been managed by all country in this continent, since its place is really close to this Forest sometime flood of monster attacked the city, country from all Ethereal continent agreed that this city must be neutral city for the adventure!"
"well that's one interesting city I can't wait to see the city, how about we pace up our speed when we already finish replenish our magic?"

"sounds good!!"

I can guest what she mean about the flood of monster, that's mean this city become front line for this forest all country in this continent afraid if flood of monster from this Forest is run amok on the continent the damage gonna be massive to the surround country, instead using the military power they use the adventure power to exterminate the monster to reduce the cost, well of course they don't want to use military power, military power was asset of the country after all they don't want to waste it to some monster, they are more wary about the surrounding country.

it's been 3 hours since we rest and it's already dark so we decide to rest in here for one day before we continue the journeys.
today I'm the one who is in charge of cooking our dinner.
"hmmm Len Len what are you cooking? the smells is really good! I can't wait!"

I tried to make a soup from fish in the lake, I use a salt, pepper and some broth that I been keeped since I left the Village, it's my secret ingredient. we found some mushroom that can be eat too in this forest so we mix it in the soup. I tried taste the soup first
"it's done, Jade where's your bowl?"
"here!!" 
she excitedly give the bowl to me, she really looks like a kid who waiting for the breakfast.
"hmmmmm it's so good, the broth is really kicking I and I can taste the mushrooms and the fish giving me a Umami taste! it's the first time I taste the food delicious as this" 
"well of course you gonna like it, because your sense of taste is really different from me"

the first time I taste the food Jade made is really bland because she don't mind about the ingredients or the food so she cooked it without seasoning or sauce, I can't stand eating the bland food so I taught her about the seasoning and how to cook properly.
we eat and chat until near midnight, we talk about jade adventure, about the food, and the information of the city.

morning come we wake up and continue the journeys, then 2 days later we finally got out from the forest and going to city

So I don't plan to go back to my room but I walk towards to the City again. I thought that this is the only way for me if I want to improving my self.
I arrive in front of the familiar building. It's Adventure Guild Building. I look around a few second and then enter the guild.
I see there is so many adventure who take rest and drinking inside the guild. Well It can't be help.

I walk towards the Receptionist Counter. It's a good thing that miss Karen counter is empty so I just come to her
"Hello miss Karen" I said respectfully
"Hmm.. Hello. You are... that student right. Do you need any help ?" (Karen)
"Yes, it's me miss Karen. Rudeus Hardlett. Just call me Rudeus please. I want to register as adventure. Could you help me miss Karen ?" (Rudeus)
"Ah.. You really that student huh. Well Rudeus right. Hmm.. You want to become adventure ?" (Karen)
"Yes miss Karen. Could I ?" (Rudeus)
"Yes you can student Rudeus. But can you told me the reason ? Even though you are a student of Ace Institute Academy but we need a reason to let student like you become adventure. I'm sorry" (Karen)
"Ah.. it's fine miss Karen. Well..." I scratch my head a bit and said "Actually the Academy already give me a free way. Well you can say I need to search another way to get stronger and I think it's better for me to become adventure"
"Huh.. the Academy give you free way ? What do you mean student Rudeus ? Is something happen ?" (Karen)
"Well you see miss Karen, me and my party did something quite lucky. Because of it we receive a rewards that let us improve our strength. But Because of that I don't think the Academy can give me any support anymore to improve my strength so I search another way." (Rudeus)
Miss Karen observing me a few second and said "I see. Well seems like you telling the truth. Alright I will proceed you registration student Rudeus. Please wait a minute"
Then miss Karen go to the back room and pick up something.

I drop my blood to the crystal and the crystal light up and then miss Karen begin to write something.
"I will ask you a few question student Rudeus. Please told me accurately. If you give a false answer, it's not the guild mistake for what happen in the future" (Karen)

I become nervous and said "Y, yes. Is something wrong miss Karen ?"

After that miss Karen ask a few more things like my birth, my hometown, and my parent.
"Thank you studetn Rudeus. Please wait a moment to get your adventure license and plate" (Karen)

After a few moment miss Karen is back and give me a my adventure license and a gold plate.
"Huh..?" I'm confuse to see it
"Ahem.. I believe you are wondering why you receive a gold plate right." I nod at her and she said "Hmm.. you can say it's a privilege to the Academy student who already become level 7 Warrior and up. Unlike a new adventure, Academy student already have an experience for combat. Well I'm a bit shock before because I thought you are only level 5 or level 6 Warrior. It's so rare to see a first year student who already become more than level 7 Warrior."
"Hmm.. I see. Well thank you miss Karen." (Rudeus)
"Welcome. Oh right. The Adventure Guild glad to have you student Rudeus, no I mean Adventure Rudeus" said miss Karen with a little bow
"Thank you very much miss Karen" I nod at her
"Well I don't know what are you gonna do, but you can check quest board first. Oh right, the rewards from the quest is not a merit point but it's a money. You must remember that. Because you are a gold plate adventure you can take any quest in the quest board but you must remember that you must complete the quest in time or the guild will overcharge your quest." (Karen)
"Yes, thank you for the reminder miss Karen" (Rudeus)
I walk towards the quest board and I see a few adventure look at me weirdly. They look at my gold plate
"Hei hei hei.. What is this ? How can a kid like him has a gold plate ? This is bullsh*t" said a big man adventure with a little drunk.
I can smell the alcohol from his breath
"Chh.. I already become adventure for 3 years  and I'm still not even silver plate yet and now you give a little kid with a gold plate ?" the big man become angry
I'm not saying anything and just stare at him
"Calm down. That kid probably from the Academy. It's better not to disturb him" said another adventure
"HUH...? So what ? Do you think I'm afraid just because this kid from the Academy. Hmmp.. I told you they just nothing. They think because they do a quest like adventure they are better than adventure like us. I believe all of them is just little sh*t who don't know a real fight" said the drunk man again
"Let it go. Calm down. Just leave him alone" said adventure who try to calm the situation
Because I just stare at him, seems like he getting angry. What's more miss Karen come and said "Enough. It's the guild who give adventure Rudeus a gold plate. So please step back and just do your own thing"
That drunk adventure become more angry "Cih.. what a sl*t. So what ? Hey kid do you think that I'm not dare to thrash you up because of this bit*h"
When I heard that I become angry but I just keep staring at him. Many of adventure is become a bit more angry too
"Calm down man. Just let it go. You already cross the line. Just go back" said another adventure
"Shut up!! Hahaha I believe you are afraid and piss your pant right now kid. Hahaha" said he drunk man
Maybe because I'm not say anything the drunk man want to leave but just before he turn around I yelled at him "COME!!"
Heard it he look at me and people a round dumbfound too.
"Student Rudeus ?" said miss Karen shock
"You want fight right. COME!!" I yelled at him again
"YOU.. Hmm.. seems like you still have a guts brat." the drunk man made his stance and want to attack
"COME!!" I shout and people who surround me back off because of it
The drunk man run toward me and make a punch "Argh.... Bam.."
I just standing there, I'm not even move a bit and I catch his punch with my left hand.
"Is this all you've got ?" I said to him and he make a really shock expression because he can't pulled his hand.
Then I raise my right hand then punch him lightly.
"BOOM...!!"
he fly over 10 meters and broke a few chairs and table until he hit a wall.
All the people who surrounded us shock and afraid. They back off even further.
I stare at the drunk man a few second and said "Seems like you are not strong at all. Hmm.. What a trash!!"
Then I bow to miss Karen and said "I'm sorry miss Karen I will pay for the damage property."
"Sigh.. it's fine student Rudeus. I will talk to Guild Master about it." (Karen)

I nod at her and then walk walks towards the quest board.
All the adventure look at me and give away when I walk.
"This is the first day I become adventure. It's kinda exciting" I thought

When miss Karen heard it she stop and then stare at me

"You are level 8 Warrior ?" miss Karen raise her voice and some of adventure look at us 

I become nervous and said "Y, yes. Is something wrong miss Karen ?" 

"Ah.. nothing. I'm sorry. I'm just shock a bit. Alright let continue" (Karen) 

After that miss Karen ask a few more things like my birth, my hometown, and my parent. 

"Thank you studetn Rudeus. Please wait a moment to get your adventure license and plate" (Karen) 

"Sure." (Rudeus) 

After a few moment miss Karen is back and give me a my adventure license and a gold plate. 

"Huh..?" I'm confuse to see it 

"Ahem.. I believe you are wondering why you receive a gold plate right." I nod at her and she said "Hmm.. you can say 

it's a privilege to the Academy student who already become level 7 Warrior and up. Unlike a new adventure, Academy 

student already have an experience for combat. Well I'm a bit shock before because I thought you are only level 5 or level 

6 Warrior. It's so rare to see a first year student who already become more than level 7 Warrior." 

"Hmm.. I see. Well thank you miss Karen." (Rudeus) 

"Welcome. Oh right. The Adventure Guild glad to have you student Rudeus, no I mean Adventure Rudeus" said miss 

Karen with a little bow 

"Thank you very much miss Karen" I nod at her 

"Well I don't know what are you gonna do, but you can check quest board first. Oh right, the rewards from the quest is 

not a merit point but it's a money. You must remember that. Because you are a gold plate adventure you can take any 

quest in the quest board but you must remember that you must complete the quest in time or the guild will overcharge 

your quest." (Karen) 

"Yes, thank you for the reminder miss Karen" (Rudeus) 

I walk towards the quest board and I see a few adventure look at me weirdly. They look at my gold plate 

"Hei hei hei.. What is this ? How can a kid like him has a gold plate ? This is bullsh*t" said a big man adventure with a 

little drunk. 

I can smell the alcohol from his breath 

"Chh.. I already become adventure for 3 years and I'm still not even silver plate yet and now you give a little kid with a 

gold plate ?" the big man become angry 

I'm not saying anything and just stare at him 

"Calm down. That kid probably from the Academy. It's better not to disturb him" said another adventure 

"HUH...? So what ? Do you think I'm afraid just because this kid from the Academy. Hmmp.. I told you they just nothing. 

They think because they do a quest like adventure they are better than adventure like us. I believe all of them is just little 

sh*t who don't know a real fight" said the drunk man again 

"Let it go. Calm down. Just leave him alone" said adventure who try to calm the situation 

Because I just stare at him, seems like he getting angry. What's more miss Karen come and said "Enough. It's the guild 

who give adventure Rudeus a gold plate. So please step back and just do your own thing" 

That drunk adventure become more angry "Cih.. what a sl*t. So what ? Hey kid do you think that I'm not dare to thrash 

you up because of this bit*h" 

When I heard that I become angry but I just keep staring at him. Many of adventure is become a bit more angry too 

"Calm down man. Just let it go. You already cross the line. Just go back" said another adventure 

"Shut up!! Hahaha I believe you are afraid and piss your pant right now kid. Hahaha" said he drunk man 

Maybe because I'm not say anything the drunk man want to leave but just before he turn around I yelled at him 

"COME!!" 

Heard it he look at me and people a round dumbfound too. 

"Student Rudeus ?" said miss Karen shock 

"You want fight right. COME!!" I yelled at him again 

"YOU.. Hmm.. seems like you still have a guts brat." the drunk man made his stance and want to attack 

"COME!!" I shout and people who surround me back off because of it 

The drunk man run toward me and make a punch "Argh.... Bam.." 

I just standing there, I'm not even move a bit and I catch his punch with my left hand. 

"Is this all you've got ?" I said to him and he make a really shock expression because he can't pulled his hand. 

Then I raise my right hand then punch him lightly. 

"BOOM...!!" 

he fly over 10 meters and broke a few chairs and table until he hit a wall. 

All the people who surrounded us shock and afraid. They back off even further. 

I stare at the drunk man a few second and said "Seems like you are not strong at all. Hmm.. What a trash!!" 

Then I bow to miss Karen and said "I'm sorry miss Karen I will pay for the damage property." 

"Sigh.. it's fine student Rudeus. I will talk to Guild Master about it." (Karen) 

"I see. thank you then miss Karen. Oh right, just call me Rudeus please. It sound weird for you to called me student 

Rudeus when I already become adventure." (Rudeus) 

"Alright then, Rudeus" (Karen) 

I nod at her and then walk walks towards the quest board. 

All the adventure look at me and give away when I walk. 

"This is the first day I become adventure. It's kinda exciting" I thought

"I can choose both? Both the God of Adventure and God of Slowness?" "Yep!" It seemed I worried for nothing about the potential consequence for refusing a side.
"There is no disadvantage from doing so?"
"There kind of is one. Both gods' tests probably will become more difficult. Also, in the end, you can become the apostle for only one god. Only thing you can accept from both are the tests."
"Can you explain a little about the test?"
Kiri Kiri tilted her head around a few times. She then crunched down on the ground and drew scribbles on the ground. It was a method unique to Kiri Kiri when she was thinking. The letters and geometric shapes that Kiri Kiri drew on the ground was completely incomprehensible to me even when I tried to figure it out. Even the knowledge before the time of Babel was no use for them.
'Are those letters just not included in the knowledge or is it because my skill level on the knowledge is not high enough?'

"God of Slowness also likes someone fighting on and not yielding to hardship, but God of Slowness' perspective is always from the first person's perspective, the God of Slowness' own perspective only. The apostle also needs to view the world that way as well."
"What about the God of Adventure?"
"For the God of Adventure, the perspective includes not just the apostle, but the comrades around the apostle, other individuals involved in incidents, enemies, and even others who are not related at all. You need to think about them all carefully."

When I first heard the name, God of Adventure, the first thing that came to my mind was stories of adventures that were archetypical. 
I was thinking about that thing. The Japanese style RPG games.
In those games, there were not just the brave hero the main character, but various comrades in the party who each possessed unique magnetic personalities, foes who each had involved and verbose back stories, beautiful and warm friendship and love that bloomed in midst of all things going on, idealistic justice that always tries to save the oppressed people, valor demonstrated by the characters who do not give up in face of hardships…
The adventure stories of outdated romanticism…

'If God of Adventure's principle is something like that… I think that's fairly consistent with the behavior that this god had been showing usually.'
The God of Adventure was proud of me or was concerned for me whenever I was going through hardships or felt defeated.
In particular, whenever I made up my mind to show determination and continue fighting on when facing a hopeless situation, the God of Adventure showed responses. It was similar to this when the God of Adventure showed interest in me for the first time at the First Floor. Also, there was the time when I killed the Goblin King and when I refused to revive Idaltaru. When I thought about those instances…

However, excluding her comment on God of Slowness' apostle being too tough to handle for an ordinary human being, it seemed like she was saying the God of Slowness would fit me well given my circumstance. Since she recommended the God of Adventure, it also meant the God of Adventure was also not a bad choice.
'All right, I made the decision.'

It realized it was a wise decision to postpone on the decision. It seemed my past actions were taken into account in the test completion.
'By the way… Why is there so many things in the God of Adventure's test? It isn't just a little different.

It was 20 times more than the test by the God of Slowness. Before I even realized, I already completed 30 of them, which is a lot, but there are way too many things in the God of Adventure's test.
Well then, should I check the skills?'
[Perseverance (Lv.1)] Description: It is a gift from the God of Adventure. This power will give you strength when you are facing difficult adversities, especially during the most trying times.
[Focused Effort (Lv.1)] Description: It is a gift from the God of Slowness. It will lead you to greater result when you pursue something with stronger desire for longer.
The one negative thing about the power skills was that they were all lacking in explanations. I could ask Kiri Kiri to explain more, but the amount of information allowance spent on skill descriptions was significant. It was no joke.
'Let's just try to make a guess. Perseverance seems like it is similar to the Iron Wall. Iron Wall is a passive skill that hardens my body. Perhaps the skill Perseverance strengthens my mind? It could be a skill that supports my combat abilities. It could also be a simple skill that hardens my body.
As for the Focused Effort, it might be for improving the efficiency of skill growth when I focus on one movement or skill for a long time to master it. Like in video games where a boost increases level up or stat speed by two folds… Something like that. Maybe it is a skill that allows me to obtain hidden skills or extra attributes.
After the Round ends, I'd be trapped inside the waiting room for three days without being able to leave. It looks like I'll be able to see great efficiency in training if I pick a skill and grow just that one while I stay there. It might be able to affect skills such as swordsmanship or other combat skills during battle.
Although I am not certain right now, it looks like they are both good skills. I'll have to look in to details later, but I don't think they will be far off from my guesses.

On a normal boring day, a message appears, inviting him to a Tutorial.

A tale about Lee Ho Jae and his escape from the Tutorial.

But he just happened to choose the hardest possible difficulty: Hell.

A few days later, Alex returned to the Highland Shelter. He returned to the inn, paid for a night and went to sleep. The long trek had left him tired.

After a night of good sleep, Alex walked to the area of the shelter owned by Adventure House. Compared to the downtrodden looks of the loose explorer's area, this was remarkably better. The people here also seemed relatively older people,, but lively and energetic.

From.his understanding, a lot of the people who joined Adventure House at the lower Card Dimensions were folks from ordinary backgrounds who didn't get into the Academy Alliance and were thus a little older on average.

Alex explored the area, before finally arriving in front of the Adventure House. He finally decided to join the organization, now that he had a rank 1 card of the Light attribute.

As he ventured into the relatively grandiose building, he found a series of counters. He quickly found the registration counter of the Adventure House amd queued up. Surprisingly the number of people registering at this moment wasn't small.

As he was waiting, a man in front of him was chatting with a burly man in front of him. He looked to be about 20 or so, relatively younger than the age group in the adventure house.

"Haha, I am actually a student of City University, but I feel like staying in the academic alliance is too boring. I wanted to go to explore the Card Dimension with real men amd so chose the Adventure House." The young man said. He had blonde hair and a pretty boy face, which made him look like a noble looking for adventure.

The burly man looked at him and laughed along. "I didn't get to go to university myself, but I grew up on the streets. I am finally strong enough to join the Adventure House. It is good to meet a valiant figure like you on my first day!"

Alex patiently waited for the queue to end. The registration for the Adventure House was quite simple. One had to undergo a test to prove they were at least a Card Initiate, aka, had at least one rank 1 card. Then they also had to do a simple punch test to ensure they met minimal physical standards.

Soon it was the turn of the burly man to do the test. The receptionist was a man who had a sensory card that allowed him to verify that the registrant was at least an initiate. The burly man passed. Then he walked to the punching machine and punched.

"323 kg of force." The tester nodded and showed a thumbs up.

The burly man smiled. He was proud of his physical strength. He had been born with a strong body and it was a source of pride. He looked at the university student and showed off his result.

The university student was inwardly shocked. He had been bragging to the burly man just now, but now the man showed tremendous physical strength. He went ahead and proved that he was a card apprentice. Then he went to the punching machine and used his most powerful punch to slam it. It took all his effort.

"318 kg!" The tester nodded again. The young man felt a little embarrassed at being slightly less than the burly man, but then he saw that behind him was a younger man who looked extremely lean. Even if his muscles seemed well defined, he seemed to be barely 18 years or so, a newbie.

"Kid, are you sure you are eligible to join the Adventure House?" The man suddenly opened his mouth.

Alex, who had been minding his own business was dumbfounded. Why was this guy targeting him?

He ignored it and went to the counter to prove that he was a card initiate. However the burly man also chimed in.

"Boy, you barely look like you outgrew drinking milk. Adventure House accepts all, but they too have some minimum standards." He mocked.

Alex was truly dumbfounded. "Did I do something to you two? Or is it that you randomly like to provoke people?" He then was tested by the receptionist and proved he was a Card Initiate. He walked over to the punching machine.

The student from city university heard Alex's comment and laughed. He sneered. "Kid, this is the Card Dimension. The strong rule the weak. An idiot like you should do well to remember this rule, otherwise, who knows what will happen to you outside the shelter?"

Alex frowned, but he ignored the flatulence of these two idiots. He did not dare raise a ruckus unnecessarily here. He went to the punching machine and punched.

"4... 499 kg!" The tester was shocked. He had seen that the young man was only a card initiate and very young and lean. His physical strength was off the charts. The people in the queue who had seen the drama earlier began smirking.

The burly man amd the blonde student from city university were pale faced with embarrassment and shock. They had been lecturing this young man about the reality of strong praying on the weak, but the boy had quietly slapped their faces.

Alex ignored the two clowns and collected his new ID from the Adventure House. He quickly went to the trading counter, where he could sell the items from the expedition to the Adventure Guild for points.

He quickly took out many strips of dried meat from the primitive royal shiny beetles and meat from the flame talon as well as bright lizards and put them on the counter.

The woman on the counter was surprised. "You got a good haul." She said. "This is worth 87 points." 

Alex nodded but added. "I have also acquired a special item, that I want to sell. Can you appraise it?"

The woman on the counter raised an eye, but nodded. "Yes, if you sell the special item to the Adventure House, we will give you a good price."

Alex nodded and took out the flower and put it on the counter. Immediately, several people looked at the flower. The flower looked extremely flashy and seemed to have not been seen before. It's petals seemed to have an almost illusionary effect that captivated onlookers.

"This..." The woman said. "Wait a moment." She ran inside and brought out a man with a white beard.

A young boy, Alex wakes up to find himself in a parallel world where people can manifest cards as superpowers.

His dream quickly turns awry when he discovers not only his lack of talent, but the difference in the behavior of his friend and even his family. 

However he doesn't give up and decides to chart his own path to become the Master of Cards!

Day 5. The last day of my first week of school! It consisted of Reading, Practical Classes or Adventure. Adventure… actually sounds fun. Back then, I hadn't had that much opportunity to embark on Adventure classes. After all, Harmonia Academy and my previous self's school's educational system were different. Only the students of Basic Level 5 at my previous school were allowed to start their free adventure.
In addition, I heard that the adventure field's types also differed per school. Some schools even had the same adventure field, due to the shortage of it. The type of monsters inside were different, too. Back at my previous school, I believe the monsters weren't that vicious and strong. It was a school of nobles that emphasized more on noble honor and things like that. Hunting and adventure were just means to show off. Some were quite serious about it, though.
By the way, adventure fields refer to special terrains imbued with special power, where there would be many "floors" or "sections" and where monsters would continuously spawn. Experts believed that the fields were actually located at different dimensional spaces than our worlds.
With that prior knowledge in my mind, I enthusiastically went to my seat and eagerly listened to Morgan-sensei's briefing.
He started off with the explanation of what the adventure class is about—basically, we're allowed to roam the adventure fields to gain more experiences. Yup, he also explained about adventure fields. His explanation was more or less the same as my prior knowledge, so I was happy that I didn't have to update my knowledge!
"So, for now, you're still not allowed to participate in adventure classes. But next year, students who're deemed to be ready for adventure classes will be allowed to explore the adventure fields—restricted to certain areas—and under your senior's monitoring."
"Eh?! We're going to form a group with seniors?!"
The students in my class ignored Morgan-sensei's opening remarks about how we aren't allowed to participate in adventure classes for our first year—I guess the special children aren't special for nothing, as almost everyone seems to understand that it's a common sense for us to refrain from the adventure classes for our first year. Instead, they were excited on Morgan-sensei's last sentence.
"That's right. It's been the custom here. You shall form a group of 4-10 people to enter the adventure field. You aren't allowed to enter on your own. And the rule dictates that during the [guardianship]—which refers to you and your seniors partnering, there should at least be 2 seniors in a team."
10 people max? That's quite a lot—but oh, if you're in deeper levels, I guess you'd need more heads to help?
The team composition has to have various types of people combined, like attackers, healers, defense managers, and so on, so I guess that's still doable.
"Teacher, how long is the guardianship period?"
In contrast to other lessons, everyone seems to be so lively and eager to ask questions.
"Naturally, another year. I will just give more details again next year. I think that even if I explain it here, you guys are going to ask me again next year."
Everyone awkwardly laughed at Morgan-sensei's remarks, since it most probably would turn out like that, indeed.
