Test Material: An alligator key-chain fob, attached to Agent Sorenson's keys.
Results: A six-meter-long saltwater crocodile in a hallway. Fourteen dead.
Notes: All agents must now be searched for toys or toy-like items before entering site ██.

Test Material: █████ brand "American Soldier" action figure.
Results: The toy was replaced by an adult male human in a soldier's fatigues, carrying a large rifle, which managed to kill five personnel before being terminated.
Notes: Let's try something less violent next time.

Test Material: ██████ brand Officer Jones beat cop action figure.
Results: An adult male in a policeman's uniform. It kept asking where the "perps" had gone to, and insisting that researchers not take recreational pharmaceuticals. After interrogation attempts, it announced that the researchers were criminals, shot two, and handcuffed a third before being terminated.

Test Material: A stuffed panda.
Results: A very large panda. It is to be noted that, despite their "cute" appearance and herbivorous lifestyle, pandas are still bears. It proceeded to hug one of the researchers, breaking three ribs before it was terminated.

Results: A terracotta brick appeared inside the box. It vanished, replaced by a brick of a different material. This went on for several hours before the items were destroyed and the anomaly reanimated its current host.

Results: The yo-yo did not change form. However, it became autonomous, moving on its own and performing a variety of tricks, even when removed from the finger of a researcher and placed on a hook in the wall.

Test Material: A ██████ brand Doctor Selenium action figure, noted on the packaging to be "The Smartest Man on Earth."
Results: An adult male in a lab coat. It made repeated references to its "astounding intellect." However, when questioned on any scientific or mathematical knowledge, it would not answer directly, only saying that it was the "smartest man on Earth." Testing ended after several hours of fruitless questioning.

Test Material: A ████████████████ winged unicorn toy from the ██████████████ line, based on a popular children's televison show.
Results: A small disproportionately figured purple equine matching ████████████████'s coloration and additional limbs. Junior Researcher █████ asked SCP-137 questions about its adopted character and about its 'magical' capabilities, but was answered only with cheerful non-sequitur statements. This included asking about Junior Researcher █████'s friends, declaring that 'friendship is the greatest magic', and requesting he fly to the castle with her, despite Junior Researcher █████'s lack of wings, and SCP-137's lack of a castle. Testing ended within an hour.
Notes: Junior Researcher █████, in light of this interaction, has been removed from SCP-137 testing, and officially reprimanded regarding using SCP objects to try to indulge his personal interests.

Mankind in its present state has been around for a quarter of a million years, yet only the last 4,000 have been of any significance.
So, what did we do for nearly 250,000 years? We huddled in caves and around small fires, fearful of the things that we didn't understand. It was more than explaining why the sun came up, it was the mystery of enormous birds with heads of men and rocks that came to life. So we called them 'gods' and 'demons', begged them to spare us, and prayed for salvation.
In time, their numbers dwindled and ours rose. The world began to make more sense when there were fewer things to fear, yet the unexplained can never truly go away, as if the universe demands the absurd and impossible.
Mankind must not go back to hiding in fear. No one else will protect us, and we must stand up for ourselves.
While the rest of mankind dwells in the light, we must stand in the darkness to fight it, contain it, and shield it from the eyes of the public, so that others may live in a sane and normal world.

A week had passed since that first life-changing day of school. Raymond knew that in order for his "date" with destiny to be successful and woo over the illustrious Miss Interpretation he had to keep up a good relationship with her. And fortunately for him everything was going just fine. Or at least it was until IT happened.

Raymond's 13-year old little brother Max was sitting home one day when Raymond came home, looking like he had just opened Pandora's box. He was pacing around the front entryway, shaking. He was also bobbing his head up and down with his eyes wide open, rarely ever blinking. Max wondered could have caused his brother to behave like this.

Max asked, "Raymond what's wrong?"

Raymond stopped dead in his tracks, though he was still shaking.

He said in a cringey voice, "Nothing's wrong."

"Come on Raymond, something must to have happened to make you behave so strangely like this." 

"I'm telling you nothing happened!"

"Raymond, please spill the beans."

"Ok, I'll tell you what happened. Do you remember that Miss Interpretation girl I told you about earlier?"

"Oh, that girl you've known for a week and still don't know her name?"

"Yes! That girl!"

"Well, what happened?"

"Well you see, today s-she…. Ak! I don't want to say it. I don't want you to feel frustrated because of what happened." 

Raymond paused his speech and backed away.

Max responded, "Raymond, what did she do?"

"Well, y-you s-see… today me and her were both about to walk into class when s-she… she…. oh no, I can't say it!"

Max thought to himself,  (Is making people feel frustrated a talent of his?)

"Please Raymond tell me, what happened!?"

"O-ok, I'll spill the beans. Today me and her saw each other when we were about to walk into class and she said to me, 'How are you?' Now that I know she cares about my well-being, I'm certain that she has a special place in her heart just for me! Since this exchange, I've been thinking about how special it was and it's been making me jittery with excitement! Before today, things were going just fine, but now they're going splendidly! Sorry if this news makes you frustrated with jealousy, but you wanted to know the truth and the truth hurts. Oh, and I even got to hold the door open for her!"

Max felt both a great sense of relief and a grave sense of disappointment for his his brother.

"And I bet the next thing you're going to tell me is that when she walked into the classroom she basically blew you a kiss by saying 'thank you' and calling you by your first name. Am I right Prince charming?"

"Oh yes! When she entered the classroom she said, 'Thank you, Raymond'. It was as if Cupid had just fired an arrow into the both of us!"

Max wanted to shoot himself.

"I'm sorry to break it to you bro, but girls say basic greeting like 'how are you?' to me all the time. It's really not something to get so worked up about."

Raymond clenched his fists and had the expression of anger on his face.

"Well you see, what she said to me was an adult-greeting. They're far more meaningful than your childish kiddy greetings. You'll understand it when you're older kiddo."

"If you say so…."

Raymond then left for his daily dating practice. Raymond knew that in order to show Miss Interpretation the full brunt of his outstanding personality, he needed to do some training. So, like a Buddhist monk, Raymond meditated in the mountains so he could hone his mind. And by "mountains" I really mean "mountains of trash" because Raymond practiced in his room which was so dirty that in order to get from one end of it to the other, he had to trudge through a swamp of dirty clothes, dirty dishes, used cups,  papers, books, old video game boxes, and used tissues. After some "adventuring" Raymond reached his desk located at the other end of his room. Once there, he did his daily meditation. And by "meditation" I mean he would have a mock conversation in his head of how he thought his "date" with Miss Interpretation would go. And during these meditations, he would use his plushie of Sonic the Hedgehog as a training dummy to project Miss Interpretation onto. Yes, I shit you not. For the past week, Raymond had been coming home from school and everyday he'd sit down in front of  his plushie of Sonic the Hedgehog and pretend to have a date with it. However today was special, as Raymond felt he needed to take the next step in his "training", and have a verbal conversation with his Sonic plushie. He soon started his "training".

"Hey girl, you see that menu over there? You can order anything you like. The bill's on me."

There was no response.

"Hey, I'm talking to you ya know!"

There was no response.

"Oh, I see. You must be speechless because of how much of a nice and charismatic guy I am. Be sure to tell me if you think otherwise though."

There was no response.

Raymond turned around, struck a victory pose, and yelled, "OH HELL YEA! I'M GOING TO DO THIS! I'M GOING TO WIN! SOMEONE BETTER GET A LIFEGUARD BECAUSE I'M ABOUT TO DROWN IN PUSSY!"

Of course Raymond knew a sonic plushie couldn't respond, but that didn't matter very much to him. He loved the fantasy of his plan working and Miss Interpretation falling for him. Even if he had to do it through, you know, a fucking plushie of Sonic the Motherfucking Hedgehog, his imagination gave him so much pleasure he just couldn't help but feel excited. He didn't care if it wasn't real. He didn't care that it was just a Sonic plushie. He just wanted the feeling of Miss interpretation loving him. Even if it was fake.

Raymond soon turned around and faced his Sonic plushie, "I bet you're so impressed with my words that you're about to propose to me and you're ready to have some 'fun' with me too. If any of what I just said was untrue, be sure to speak up now!"

The Sonic plushie responded, "Ew gross. Sonic Says that an adult who dates a Sonic plushie is no adult at all. "

"What the fu-"

But then Raymond realized that the voice he heard was just Max, who must have heard his earlier outburst and decided to stop by. Raymond turned around and saw Max standing in the doorway.

Raymond said, "Please leave my room Max. I have things to do."

"Ok, I'll leave soon" Max replied, "But I must say you're starting to come off as a total manchild."

"I'm no man-child, and I said leave."

"Ok, I'll go once you answer this question. You see, back on that first day of school you said that Miss Interpretation held hands with you, and then you said that you were going to have a 'Special celebration'. So that got me wondering, what did you do with the hand Miss Interpretation touched?"

Raymond froze and his face turned white as if he had just seen a ghost.

Max went on to say, "Did you commit an adult-scandalous act?"

"Oh yes! I committed the ever so scandalous act of an adult-handwashing to get those icky germs off!"

"More like you committed the ever so scandalous act of self-adultery."

"Heh heh heh you kids and your ever so vibrant imagination that is far more adult than it ever should be."


Apparently having a dirty mind is something that runs in the family.

The newly 18 year old birthday boy stormed downstairs to grab breakfast. 

“Crap, I’m going to be late. Crap. Crap.” Said Hoshiro to himself.

He plunges into the dinning room and grabs a piece of toast and  then slung his backpack over his shoulders.


“Happy birthday Hoshiro. You are now officially allowed to date. Since you’re an adult now, you should find yourself a good girl.” Said Hoshiro’s father, Inagi. He sipped on some coffee and continued reading the newspaper.

“Hoshiro, don’t forget your lunch!” Said Hinata, his mother. She quickly handed the young adult his bento lunch box and added. “Your dad is right. I look forward to cooking with your future girlfriend.”

“Mom, Dad, chill! I know I’m officially allow to date now, but that doesn’t mean I am able to have a girlfriend on the first day!

“You’d be surprised. The animal inside of us can take over sometimes.” Said Inagi.

“Animal?!? Nevermind, Dad. I gotta run. I’m already late.”

They exchanged final greettings and out came Hoshiro, running to his bike. The piece of toast still in his mouth.

Girlfriend….. What were they thinking? 

Hoshiro sighed and then pedaled hard and fast towards school.
After a short bike ride, he arrived at his destination.

“Damn it. Late by 2 minutes!” said Hoshiro to himself.

He parked his bike at the bike racks and then ran to his home room. 

He carefully sled the door open and proceeded to tiptoe to his seat at the back of the class. Perfectly calculated, the teacher was writing an equation on the blackboard and turned around just as Hoshiro sat down to his usual spot.

“Hoshiro, why don’t you come and solve this quadratic equation?” The teacher challenged the young adult. 

Hoshiro thought he had gotten away with being late, but now surrendered backwards and tilted his head back while relaxing his limbs. He did a face palm to his forehead and then started to get up and head over to the chalk board. 

Looking at the equation, Hoshiro was after a while, able to find the intercepts and find the 2 solutions to the quadratic equation.

“If you’re late next time, I will call you day time lantern. Capiche?”

“Yes , Sir!”

“Good. Now return back to your seat.”

Hoshiro came back to his desk but not before high fiving his best friend Mamoru in the seat in front of him.

“Day time lantern. Hehe” Jeered Mamoru.

“Oh my God…. You too?” 

“Hehe. Just kidding. Oh and Happy Birthday, Bro!”

“Thanks!” 

Their quiet conversation then turned to serious studying.

During recess, Mamoru and Hoshiro chatted about his ban being lifted.

“So, you can finally get to date huh?”

“Dude, I don’t even know what to say or do to land myself a girlfriend….” Said Hoshiro.

“You just gotta be yourself, man. At least that is what I hear a lot.”

“It’s easy for you to say. You already have Asako as your girlfriend.”

“Yup, being strong for two years now.”

“How did you two come to be again?”

“I asked her if she wanted to watch a movie together. Then we came out of the theatre holding hands. It felt natural.”

“If only I could be that smooth.”

“Now now, don’t doubt yourself. I’m sure you can reach your goal of getting a Waifu!”

“Waifu forever!”

“Waifu forever!” Echoed Mamoru.

Hoshiro Kawasaki is an ordinary highschool student with the most modest of parents and somewhat good grades in school. He is still to this day a virgin. Never having kissed a girl, or even held hands with one, Hoshiro is determined to find his happily ever after. 

Their next class was physics and Hoshiro had no affinity to the subject, thus he started to doodle on his notebook. He drew of a portal to a different world. A world where adventures and magical team fights were the norm. He wanted to escape from reality. The young adult wholeheartedly believed that he would die alone because he has no idea how to talk or be with girls. That’s why he can be in the clouds sometimes with his mind. He could not decide whether being lost in his own fantasy world was more important and precious to him or if his goal of obtaining a girlfriend was more important. He craved both. Adventure in life and a dedicated companion to share the adventure with.

Man, if only I could have more courage to ask girls out…. But, honestly, I don’t really have someone in mind right now. None of my classmates are my type. Sigh when can I get a girlfriend?

Thought Hoshiro to himself.

He then laid his head down on his notebook and unknowingly fell asleep.

As he slept, his drool came running down the page of the notebook and onto the portal he had drawn earlier. His drawings were vivid and realistic as he was trained from a young age to draw and stretch.  As his saliva came into contact with the drawing, the portal on the page disappeared and beside Hoshiro manifested a portal that emanated the same features as the one Hoshiro drew.

The portal was approximately human sized, with two points of contact, one at the top and one at the bottom, holding the portal in a convex shape. Through the purple vortex, out came 2 medieval armoured men, who upon seeing Hoshiro, grabbed him and his belongings and took him through the created portal. 

The portal closed just as fast as it appeared. Leaving the rest of the classroom in shock and disarray.

Little did they know that Hoshiro was whisked away, to a world unbeknownst to man.

Minutes ago the private room which was cold as if a huge corporate business deal were to be signed now was lively filled with laughter, warm and homely atmosphere. 

Confused and angered Rick's face was completely black as he glared at the uninvited guests and his blind date. 

"That's all, bring all the dishes together when prepared, and for now bring out the most expensive bottle of bubbly and finest wine available. Tonight my son is getting engaged and nobody is allowed to stop me from getting drunk." the staff was astonished to hear the graceful middle aged lady in front of her speak such words. 

Hearing the lady, the room burst into laughter. The middle aged man next to her shouted " yes, bring out a bottle of the oldest scotch here, finally my son is doing something I can brag about."

" Dad don't just keep ordering alcohol, two dragon moca sweat please and sister-in-law what about you?" said the little girl in adult size koala bear onesies.

"one large mango lassi" said Tanya nonchalantly 

" Is that all, sir." the staff did not forget to ask Rick whose face looked like someone who was forcefully fed flies.

"Um.. Dragon moca sweet." said Rick without thinking, hearing this the lively room quieted again and threw wired glances at Rick even the staff was a bit taken back but was impressed by the dude's confidence to openly order children's drink in front of his blind date.

Rick glared back and asked gruffly "what?"

"At least today at your engagement day can't you act more like an adult." said Mr Meyer shaking his head in disappointment. Hearing this Mrs Meyer glared at Mr Meyer and shouted "where is my machete?"

Seeing his wife reaching for her weapon Mr Meyer hurriedly said "my wife, calm down I was just kidding, he can drown in Dragon Moca for all I care."

Rick did not care about his father's remarks; he was used to them. Instead he detonated a bomb in the room saying "Who said I am getting engaged?"

"Whatttt?!!!"the little girl in Koala onesies dragged cutely . 

Tanya, who was sitting comfortably, suddenly sat straight hearing Rick. similarly the other middle aged couple next to her sat up in surprise.
"Rick what do you mean by this?, you just said you are willing to be my life partner." asked Tanya with a deep voice and a furrowed brow.

"That was before I knew that your master was Lt. Colonel John Meyer aka my dearest father. Father hats off to you, you almost had me. Auntie May Uncle Ben were you guys also part of this?  By the way, attending the date in a battle-suit was a good touch." said Rick reaching for the mineral water bottle next to his arm rest.

"Tsk! Tsk! Like father like son, it was my idea your father also fell for that trick." Said Mrs Meyer.

Hearing this Rick almost spurt out the water he was drinking 'too much info, delete! Delete!' he thought hard to erase the last part.

"Mom you're so bad!�� said Little Meyer raising her thumb in approval. 

'Mom this is not something you should teach your daughter, this is what they call bad parenting' Rick glared at the little devil who was having her share of fun on his demise.

Rick was confused in the being but soon as his anger calmed down he put two and two together, his father took part in the battle at Gulf of the Burr Galaxy and Tanya's master also took part in Gulf of Burr Galaxy, this could be have been just a coincidence but seeing how his parents already knew of his blind date and how Tanya is acting, Rick's father is Tanya's master.

Even though the Federal marriage bureau app is strict and has many confidentiality laws in place to make the matchmaking process as genuine, private and secure as possible, someone as high ranking as a colonel can easily bypass them by pulling some strings. 

John's face was black with anger, he loves his son very much. No matter how much his son rebels against him John does not think twice before acting when his son needs him But everything he does for his son somehow seems to drive their father and son further apart. Similarly 4 years ago just because of one word he left the house and moved to another planet. 

"Rick, calm down

SEBASTIAN
I began the day with vigour, and yet I still felt like she had beaten me in every way. 
I was once again faced with the sight of her making breakfast, the same apron tied around her, humming to a song that sounds better coming from her mouth. The only difference was her hair. Her ponytail allowed me to sneak up behind her and wrap my arms around her, pecking her tattoo that I missed so much.
"Sebastian!" She squealed in surprise. "What are you doing? That's not safe, I could have flung boiling eggs at you."
"I'm sorry, I couldn't resist." I sat at a stool and watched her. She moved around for a bit before turning to face me, a plate in her hands with eggs, toast and bacon. 
"Well, you're going to have to mister. Do you think we have the first aid box for any occasion?" She raised her eyebrow and leaned on the counter in front of me.
"I thought that was its purpose." I began to eat, humming in joy at the food. 
I'll never get tired of this. I wonder what her favourite breakfast is, she deserves breakfast in bed every once in a while.
"It is, but my parents are stingy so although they have a first aid box, It's only filled with the best supplies to be used for rare occasions. Scrape your knee? Cut your finger? Sprain your ankle? Too bad, you gotta suck it up and move on." She took her cup of tea and began to sip.
Now that I think about it, Audrey is really obsessed with tea, isn't she? She never goes without one. I need a scene change where she doesn't have tea. 
"Audrey, have you ever been on a date before?" I asked. At this, she choked on her tea, coughing a couple of times before responding.
"No, I didn't have time for dating. Where is this coming from all of a sudden?" Her eyes were wide and teary from the choking, she still looked beautiful though.
"I think you need to experience one. You're an adult, you need to experience adult things," at this, she raised her eyebrows, judging me, "not those kinds of things. Anyway, are you free on Saturday?"
She zoned out for a second before replying. "Yes, I think I am."
"Great, I'll take you out on a date." I smiled brightly, my excitement levels shooting through the roof.
"Uh, I don't know. I doubt I would be good company. And aren't you meant to only go on dates with the one you love?" She hesitated, playing with her bracelet. 
I set my fork on my now empty plate, resting my elbows on the table. "Well, people go on dates with strangers all the time. It's how they find out if they'll like them or not. And you'll be great company, if you weren't great company do you think I would've stuck around?"
She huffed in annoyance before caving in. "Alright, fine. But you're buying me ice cream."

AUDREY
"Oh, oh my gosh! I don't know what to say, I'm too excited." My computer currently couldn't handle the pitch my sister was screaming at.
"I'm so happy I'm gonna puke!" Or Libby either in that case. The speakers crackled lamely as their subsonic pitches rang through the computer.
I buried my face in my hands briefly, only now realising how hot my cheeks were. "Guys can you just settle down. It's not that special." I tried to reason.
"Not that special?" However, my reasoning was futile. "This is Sebastian King we're talking about. This is your first crush and he really likes you; heck, he loves you." Libby's smile was contagious and I could feel myself smiling. 
I covered my smile and tried to stop but it wouldn't go away. "I just, what do I do? What do I wear? What d-"
"Woah, calm down Audrey," Margo advised, motioning for me to take a breath.
"I'm just, what if he's not the right one?" I fretted, I gripped onto a poor cushion.
"Audrey, you are going on one date. This is not a commitment and in no way will you owe him anything by the end of it. If you have fun then you can go on another. From what you've told me, he wants you to experience what going on a date is like, he won't do anything bad to you." Libby had a point, and it put me at ease.
"Thank you, Libby." I smiled, getting ready to end the call.
"Oh, what about me? I helped too!" Margo complained.
I let a soft laugh loose. "Yes, you too Margo. Thank you."
We said our goodbyes and ended the call. I closed my laptop and went to my bedroom, grabbing all I'd need for a bath and eventually slipping into the heavenly water, a moan escaping my mouth; gosh I love baths.
As I lay in the tub, surrounded by bubbles and amazing scented candles, I couldn't stop the excitement I felt towards this date. These feelings were new, and I liked them.

Well, this time, it seems to be.

Hello all who have been invested in my work so far. There are so many of you I want to thank not only for your feedback but for your continued support of my novel. If it wasn't for you I might never have picked up the book past the first 15k words I wrote about a year ago.
It is due to your support I feel the responsibility to inform you I will be taking a break from the novel for some time.
Originally I was never going to continue Under His Command. It was something that sat on my shelf after I gave up on writing it long ago, and something I only picked back up to post on here because I was in a rather dark spot creatively.
The reason I posted it on here was that I felt really down about myself and my skills as an author. I have been writing for about 10 years, and although I have been published before I never picked up much popularity. Posting on here was kind of a way to test the waters and see if I was actually good enough to gain any form of traction.
Essentially I was looking for positive affirmation, and I received it. An overwhelming amount of it.
Unfortunately, it did not restoke my inspiration for this work. Rather, the more I wrote it the more I found I simply did not suit the material anymore. I love romance and SciFi, and I will never be straying from the genres, but the work itself it simply not me anymore.
That does not mean I won't continue to write it at some point. Rather I will take a break to collect myself and put together something that isn't as rushed and uninspired as the last few chapters to post at a later date.
In the meantime, I will not stop writing. Before posting Under His Command I had already started a work I am really invested in, but because of writing on here I never got to kindle it the way I wanted to.
It is of the same vein as Under His Command, being an adult romance (heavy on the adult), but it is not the same. It is something I can genuinely see myself both writing and enjoying.
As my readers, I would like your opinion. Would you rather I simply take a break from Under His Command and post on here at a later date, or would you like to support me in my next work?
Either way Under His Command is not over. It will be continued, and I will put my best effort forward. All I ask is if you would support me posting my new novel as I write it here.
