I am sure if her brother was there to see what has been going on, including how Tom has been acting, he would have more cautious advice. Lucy's explanation and representation of the matter has left a lot out. 😔

Who was this mouth-watering, butterfly-giving, toes-curling handsome hunk in front of her? Where was her driver? Although her driver had been very attractive in a manly way, the person before her looked attractive in a very boyish and dangerous way. His previously black hair which used to be slicked back was now a curly copper brown short mid-skin fade. He had a silver nose ring on the right part of his nose, and two diamond earrings on both his ears. Although her driver had made her feel uncomfortable, he had been 'safe' unlike the person in front of her now, she thought, as she listened to the collective appreciative gasp which came from some of the other ladies around.

SMH. Way to go Tom! Not only will she be pissed when she be pissed when she finds out about ALL of the withholding of truth, but equally upset maybe livid with the manipulation (home, mind games, career). Wanting to get to know someone is one thing but Tom continues to go too far. What a show of disrespect under the pretense of keeping her close in order to get to know her. Does her expertise and work goals mean nothing? Hopefully in this novel, Lucy does not dismiss all of this in the name of love. Hopefully Tom has real character growth. Hopefully everyone gets called out and grows.
Entertaining story, however I would like to be able to finish reading it. The story did not update for a long time. Now that it is available again the remaining chapters will not unlock. The remaining chapters are available but will not unlock...so it cannot be read.😕☹️😕

Although he knew she hadn't agreed because of all the reasons he had given her, he was glad she decided to go along with it, "Yes. At least that way I will know why they all left," Tom said as he picked up his glass and drank from it. He really prayed his plan would work, and she would fall in love with him before the end of all this. The moment she says the magic words to him, he would confess it all to her and hope she understands.
