Kirito smirked calmly. "On the battlefield, no one willingly places their face in the path of your fist."
Tsunade sneered, "Are you even a man? You can't handle a woman, let alone beat one."
Kirito's retort came swiftly, "And you're one of the Sannin, yet you can't defeat a 'mere junior' like me. How embarrassing."
"Let's see you keep dodging," Tsunade snapped, clearly irked.
She took a step back, widening the distance between them. Then, with a swift motion, she bit her finger and smeared her blood across her palm.
Kirito froze. Hemophobia? He narrowed his eyes, recalling the long-standing issue Tsunade had with blood. When did she recover?
Tsunade moved quickly, forming seals with practiced precision. But before she could complete her summoning jutsu, Kirito appeared in front of her, his speed leaving her momentarily stunned.
When did he—? She barely had time to register his movement before instinct took over. Abandoning the summoning, she swung her fist at his face.
Kirito caught her fist mid-air with his left hand, a calm smile playing on his lips.
"You've been glaring at me with those lecherous eyes all day. Time to teach you a lesson," Tsunade growled, bringing her other fist toward his face.
Unfortunately for her, Kirito's right hand intercepted her second punch with equal ease. He crossed their arms, rendering both her hands immobilized. With a quick spin, he twisted their positions, pulling her arms across her chest and pinning her against his chest from behind.
"Tsunade, now that your hands are restrained, what's your next move?" Kirito teased, leaning slightly closer.
"You—" Tsunade struggled, her cheeks flushed with anger and embarrassment. But Kirito held her firmly, leaving her no room to break free.
Desperate, she lifted her leg to attempt a Painful Sky Kick, but Kirito was already a step ahead. With his heightened perception and reflexes, he predicted her move. His leg locked hers mid-motion, pinning her entirely.
Their bodies were now entwined in a rather awkward but compromising position.
"Let me go!" Tsunade barked, her voice a mix of anger and frustration. But the more she struggled, the tighter Kirito's hold became.
After several moments of futile resistance, Tsunade finally slumped against him, out of breath.
"Looks like I win," Kirito whispered triumphantly.
By evening, the two were walking toward the inn where Tsunade was staying. Kirito held her hand firmly as they strolled down the street, drawing curious glances from passersby.
To outsiders, the pair looked like a close couple, with Tsunade appearing to be a few years older than Kirito. Her youthful appearance, enhanced by the effects of the Hundred Healings Seal, gave no hint of her actual age.
Tsunade's cheeks burned with embarrassment, her usual confidence waning under the weight of their public display.
When they finally reached the stairs of the inn, she stopped and turned to him, crossing her arms defensively.
"Let me make one thing clear," she said firmly. "Don't let my appearance fool you. I'm fifty-one years old. I've lived more than thirty years longer than you, kid. It's not too late to regret this now."
Kirito chuckled, his confidence unwavering. "What's there to regret? Age is just a number. Besides, when you marry someone, you take them as they are—flaws and all."
He paused and reached into his pocket. After pretending to search for something, he pulled out a gleaming pure gold ring.
Tsunade's eyes widened instantly. "Gold…" she murmured, her attention wholly captured by the shiny object.
Kirito sighed, a wry smile tugging at his lips. Without hesitation, he slapped her lightly on the backside.
"Hey! What was that for?" Tsunade snapped, glaring at him.
"To snap you out of your daydream," Kirito replied, unimpressed. "Don't tell me you were planning to sell this for gambling money."
Tsunade averted her gaze, a guilty expression flashing across her face. "Of course not…"
"Right," Kirito said with mock disbelief. He took her left hand, sliding the ring onto her finger with deliberate care. "Do you know what kind of ring this is?"
Tsunade raised her hand, admiring the ring, a faint blush creeping onto her cheeks. "A wedding ring? The kind exchanged between couples when they get married?"
Kirito smirked. "It's not that simple. This ring is made of pure gold—a metal that can grant eternal youth."
Tsunade froze, her eyes widening. "Eternal youth? Are you serious?"
"Very," Kirito said. "This metal is rare, found only on an island overseas. The person who originally discovered it lived for over two hundred years without aging a single day."
Tsunade's mind raced. She had always prided herself on her youthful appearance, but the idea of retaining that youth indefinitely was beyond tempting.
"Still thinking about pawning it?" Kirito asked with a knowing smile.
"No way," Tsunade said firmly, clutching the ring as though it were the most precious treasure in the world.
Her gaze softened as she turned back to Kirito. "You… don't happen to have another one, do you?"
Kirito chuckled. "I might. But I'll wear mine later. Right now, I'm still growing. A man's body doesn't fully mature until around twenty-two. It's better to wait a few years."
Tsunade blinked, taken aback. "Seventeen? You're… only seventeen?"
"That's right," Kirito replied. "Which means I was only thirteen when we—"
"Don't finish that sentence," Tsunade snapped, her face burning crimson.
Kirito laughed softly, brushing off her embarrassment. "Don't worry. With this ring, a mere thirty-year age gap won't matter in the grand scheme of things. But that reminds me—how did you overcome your hemophobia? Earlier, you performed a summoning jutsu without hesitation."
Tsunade stiffened, the question catching her off guard. "That's none of your business," she muttered, turning away.
But Kirito pressed on, his curiosity piqued. "Come on, Tsunade. Tell me. What changed?"
She didn't respond, her gaze fixed on the ring now adorning her finger.
