/ Book&Literature / Dread Our Wrath (ASOIAF SI)
概要
A man from modern times awakens as the heir of a newly arisen house in one of the more backwater regions the Stormlands. It is approximately a decade and a half before the Conquest of Dorne under Daeron I Targaryen, and all the dragons have died out. What will he do to not only survive but thrive in a brutal realm like Westeros? With the changes he will slowly but surely bring, just how great will this Westeros diverge from the one he knew as a work of fiction?

Here an actual review. For the title of the novel to be 'Dread Our Wrath', the MC is honestly underwhelming. He isn't wishy-washy or annoying but he simply isn't interesting. The author intersedes his story by including other POVs but everytime it's the MC's, all we get are what he is doing for the smallfolk or his inventions, very little of the political intrigue or personal stories that interest ASOIAF readers. Personally, the writing & grammar is very good but it's just extremely hindered by an uninteresting MC. His motivations & what not are so far reaching & sometimes so irrelevant to his current situation that he seems to care more about the future of Westeros than the wellbeing & safety of him & his living kin.
