With Reiki's mastery of space-time jutsu, he swiftly swapped places with An Lushanzan. The initially confident expression on An Lushanzan's face shifted as he found himself face-to-face with Namikaze Minato and the other Konoha ninjas.
"This is the power you wanted us to witness?" Minato asked, eyes glinting with interest as he studied An Lushanzan. If An Lushanzan truly managed to harness the power of the dragon vein, the consequences would be dire. But now, with Reiki at the dragon vein's location, the odds were against him. Even though Reiki wasn't yet powerful enough to overpower An Lushanzan completely, his unique space-time techniques made approaching him difficult for most.
"Space-time ninjutsu!?" An Lushanzan muttered, eyes narrowing as he took a cautious step back. Before him stood Minato, whose reputation with space-time jutsu was legendary, and Reiki, whose techniques were even more unpredictable. With Aburame Shibi and Akimichi Choza's secret techniques and Naruto's formidable attacks, he realized that if he didn't seize control of the dragon vein soon, he might not survive this encounter. An Lushanzan knew well the power of Namikaze Minato, a name still revered twenty years into the future.
"Why is it always Konoha?" An Lushanzan's expression twisted into one of rage as his chakra surged uncontrollably. The resonance with the dragon vein began to grow, and tendrils of chakra seeped from it, intertwining with his own.
"That's Reiki over there, right?" An Lushanzan's eyes darted over the Konoha ninjas. "Uchiha Obito, the cold-hearted Shura. Hatake Kakashi, the Silver Blade of Konoha, son of the White Fang. Nohara Rin, daughter of the spiritual chain..."
His eyes locked on Minato. "Can you protect them all from me?" The garments on An Lushanzan started to disintegrate, revealing a gaunt frame with a glowing energy crystal embedded in his chest. The crystal pulsed with the power of the dragon vein, activating its chaotic energy.
"What are you talking about?" Minato's brow furrowed. Though he had suspicions, he didn't voice them. In this battle, spanning time and space, he didn't want to know too much about the future. His only goal was to defeat An Lushanzan and seal the dragon vein.
"Curious?" An Lushanzan smirked. "Don't worry, once I defeat you all, I'll recount your futures one by one. Let's begin!"
With a crazed laugh, An Lushanzan spread his arms wide as energy beams shot from his body, linking with every puppet in the area. Deep beneath the ground, a shadow stirred, and a massive puppet emerged, standing under An Lushanzan like a mechanical colossus.
"Naruto Uzumaki, listen," Minato ordered. "Lead Kakashi and the others out of the puppet encirclement. That's your mission."
Naruto's eyes widened as he watched his father form a Rasengan and charge forward. "Kakashi-sensei, is that..."
Kakashi interrupted, "Naruto, come with us. Obito, Rin, move!"
Sara stepped forward. "I won't leave!"
But before she could protest further, Kakashi knocked her unconscious with a swift blow. "We can't afford distractions," he said firmly. "Naruto, you're from the future, and by the looks of it, I'll be your teacher one day. Remember this: on missions, don't let emotions waste precious time. Obito, let's go!"
Obito nodded. "Naruto, snap out of it! We need to move!"
Obito formed hand seals and unleashed a powerful Fire Release: Great Flame Sing. The blaze scattered the advancing puppets, and his flaming short sword severed their chakra threads. Yet, as soon as one line was cut, another reattached. A prolonged fight was not an option—they needed to escape swiftly.
"Got it!" Naruto summoned multiple shadow clones, each one brandishing a Rasengan as they cleared a path forward.
With Sara in Kakashi's arms, the three of them broke through the puppet horde, assisted by Choza's giant boulders sealing the entrance behind them.
Meanwhile, countless insects from Shibi infiltrated the puppets, gnawing at their chakra threads and disrupting their movements. Choza, using his Body Enlargement Jutsu, charged through the enemy forces, crushing everything in his path.
Minato's eyes were locked on An Lushanzan. He needed to eliminate him, but the sheer number of puppets slowed his advance.
Reiki, seated in front of the dragon vein, remained detached from the fight, studying the swirling energy. To access the realm of immortals, the dragon vein was essential. However, unlocking its power required activation. There were two keys: the Magatama he had exchanged with Sara and the energy crystal embedded in An Lushanzan's chest.
