章 197: Chapter 197: The Envy of Fairy Morgan

Lott's strength was undeniable.

"Of course," he responded without a moment's hesitation.

As Lott spoke, a thought crossed his mind: In some respects, this fairy Morgan is remarkably accurate. The only connection between Lott and I is our identical appearances, much like the distinction between myself and this other Morgan.

Morgan noticed Lott's contemplative demeanour, sensing he was deep in thought about something important.

This dog might not merely be a reincarnation of the future Lott, she mused. His origins may be even more peculiar.

"Mysterious husband," Morgan reflected quietly.

The fairy Morgan, noticing Morgan's interest in Lott, shook her head gently, her eyes filled with envy.

Seeing this, Morgan asked curiously, "By the way, since you possess memories of other Morgans across timelines, what's your take on the things Lott and I have done? If you were to view this from their perspective…"

Morgan didn't dwell on which timeline was more 'normal.' To her, the present reality was the only truth she acknowledged. Yet, she was keen to hear the perspectives of other Morgans.

Fairy Morgan paused, then replied, "Regarding pan-human history, I don't have much clarity. My memories are simplistic—almost like blank images. If you were to describe your feelings in such a context, I wouldn't be able to grasp them."

"And what about the 'Lostbelt' you mentioned?" Morgan pressed further.

The fairy Morgan looked at her meaningfully, saying, "Of course I envy you. I truly envy you now. If I didn't know you were also named Morgan, I would feel not just envy but outright jealousy."

"Are you envious of my achievements?" Morgan asked with a playful smile.

"Not at all; the Morgan of that timeline has dominated Britain for thousands of years," fairy Morgan admitted, glancing at Morgan. You haven't completely mastered England yet.

But what she truly envied was Lott's unwavering support. "No matter what you do, he finds ways to assist you, to spoil you. There's no Lott like this one in other timelines—compared to the king of pan-human history, he's unworthy of the shoes of the Lott before me!"

Fairy Morgan's anger simmered as she reflected on her struggles. After thousands of years of effort, what had she gained? Betrayal, loss, and a lonely death.

And what of Morgan's life? She was genuinely happy. Your smile today likely outshines all the smiles of the other two Morgans combined!

"I'm so angry!" fairy Morgan clenched her fists in frustration.

"Then what do you truly envy?" Morgan continued to press.

Fairy Morgan, seemingly aware of Morgan's intentions, hesitated before admitting, "I envy you for having such a wonderful husband."

Morgan beamed at this compliment. Despite knowing it already, it filled her with joy to hear it articulated, especially coming from another version of herself.

Lott, standing beside her, shared in her happiness. I always knew I was better than the historical King Lott, she thought, but hearing praise from someone who understood both timelines was particularly gratifying.

In the face of their light-hearted banter, fairy Morgan felt speechless. I swear, Morgan and Lott from other timelines could never be so shameless! Why are these two so skinless and faceless?

Doubts crept into her mind. Was there a flaw in her memory? Was all this merely a figment of her imagination, devoid of the truth of those other Morgans?

Shaking her head to dispel such thoughts, she urged, "Morgan, let's not dwell on this. We should focus on how to deal with the present threat. Our enemy must be eliminated first."

Morgan proposed, "Should we take advantage of their distraction, with Orkney's defenders and Bedivere, to launch a sneak attack?"

Lott, recalling his previous successful strategies, nodded. "Using this tactic is second nature to me now. It's almost foolproof."

"Almost?" Morgan raised an eyebrow. "We can only do this a few times. If the enemy becomes aware, our chances of success diminish greatly."

Lott's confidence remained. "But they were unprepared in the past. These fairies won't see it coming!"

Fairy Morgan interjected, "But it's not just the Tooth Clan and Earth Clan attacking this time. The Winged Clan and others will certainly use magic to thwart such attempts."

Both Morgans exchanged contemplative looks, mirroring each other's thoughts. Just then, Lott had a new idea.

He turned to Fairy Morgan and asked, "So, are the fairies unified? Do all six clans operate as one?"

"Not at all," she replied. "For instance, the Rain Clan supports my goal of peace on the mainland, while the Earth Clan remains in the dark. The Fang and Wind Clans have considerable internal strife. And there are many other fairies, like the Baobhan Sith, who don't follow the six clans at all."

"Wait, Lott, what do you mean?" Morgan asked, catching onto his line of thought.
