Baobhan Sith suddenly recalled a critical detail that made her face fall. I'm in his territory. Lott had the advantage here, and she was alone against him.
Outside the castle, the sound of explosions stirred chaos among the people. Morgan stepped forward, using her magic to calm them. She couldn't let Lott's kindness lead to disastrous consequences.
"Don't worry! It's King Lott who fights the fairy that destroyed your homes," she reassured the crowd.
"Your Majesty Morgan, will King Loot be in danger?" a child asked, anxiety lacing his voice.
"Danger?" Morgan replied, smiling gently. "No need to worry! This little fairy is no match for Your Majesty Lott. Even if it were Vortigern himself, we would stand strong!"
Yet, beneath her confident words, Morgan felt a flicker of concern. That fairy seems formidable. I hope Lott can hold his ground!
Meanwhile, Gawain couldn't stay back any longer. Spotting her father locked in combat with Baobhan Sith, she drew her weapon and rushed to join him.
Baobhan Sith inwardly cursed. Facing Lott alone was challenging enough, but now Gawain was there too. This was no longer a simple fight; she needed to rethink her strategy. If she wanted to win, she had to deal with one of them first.
In an instant, Baobhan Sith darted to Lott's side, launching a surprise attack. But instead of defending, Lott opened his chest, inviting her to strike.
What is he doing? Baobhan Sith thought, bewildered.
Suddenly, a golden light enveloped Lott. Golden armour materialized around him, and earrings appeared in his ears, radiating pure sunlight.
"This... this is!?" Baobhan Sith's expression darkened as she recognized the power of the sun emanating from the armour.
The brilliance of the sunlight made her limbs feel heavy; the very essence of her existence as a vampire was threatened by this radiant force.
"Caught you off guard, didn't I?" Lott grinned as he seized the moment.
"You... you tricked me!" Baobhan Sith exclaimed weakly.
"Tricked? No, this is just standard battlefield procedure," Lott replied, his smile unwavering. "And about my armour—let's just say it's a secret."
With a swift motion, Lott tossed Baobhan Sith toward Gawain. "Here, take care of this fairy."
"Of course, I won't let her escape!" Gawain declared confidently, catching Baobhan Sith on her shoulder.
Curious about her father's new armour, Gawain turned to Lott. "Dad, where did you get that armour?"
"I caught it while fishing," Lott said with a playful smile.
"What!?" Gawain's eyes widened in disbelief. "Impossible!"
Baobhan Sith fumed at Lott's nonchalance. A powerful fairy like me losing to armour fished from a lake? Ridiculous!
Gawain's frustration flared. "Don't doubt my father! He's strong!"
In a burst of indignation, she slapped Baobhan Sith hard on the backside. The sound echoed sharply.
Lott winced at the sight, knowing that Gawain's strength was no joke. Baobhan Sith felt as if she'd been burned by hot steel. "You'll regret this!" she spat, her pride wounded.
"Look at your size; I can still take you down!" Gawain shot back, undeterred.
"Come and try! You think you and your father together can defeat me?!" Baobhan Sith retorted defiantly.
Amused and unbothered by her taunts, Gawain's only response was to prepare for another strike, her resolve firm. "I won't hold back!"
The tension between them was palpable, the clash of wills igniting the air around them. Baobhan Sith might have been a formidable opponent, but with Lott and Gawain united, the odds were heavily stacked against her.
