Chapter 2: The Double Trouble Header

(After registering for the Johto League, and meeting some new Pokemon in New Bark Town.)

(Mew and her friends are on the road to Violet City.)

(to compete for her first Johto League badge.)

Mew: "I sure am glad we got to see a real live Totodile,"

(Mew says.)

Misty: "Yeah, and Cyndaquil is one of the cutest Pokémon I've ever seen,"

(Misty says.)

Jen: "Yeah. It was adorable,"

(Jen says.)

Brock: "Too bad we didn't get to see a Chikorita,"

(Brock says.)

Tomo: "Yeah. I want to see a real Chikorita,"

(Tomo says.)

(Just then, the Pokemon notices something.)

Mew: "What's the matter, guys?"

(Mew asks.)

(Everyone soon looks ahead to notice a young girl with long purple pigtails, and wears a yellow jacket with black stripes up ahead.)

(The girl calls out.)

The girl: "We're gonna train hard, hit hard, and knock everyone out of the box! We're in the big leagues, and we're playing hard ball!"

Misty: "What's that girl doing?"

(Misty wonders.)

The girl: "One! Two! Three strikes, they're out!"

(The girl shouts.)

(It soon reveals that the girl is talking to a Chikorita swinging its lead around at her feet, and this Chikorita is wearing a yellow headband with a black stripe and a lighting bolt on it.)

(The girl continues to shout.)

The girl: "The site is retired and Chikorita wins the game!"

Chikorita: "Chiko!" (Right!)

(Chikorita says.)

(The girl continues to shout.)

The girl: "Chikorita, the Pokémon champion pulls out another amazing ninth inning victory and the fans go wild!"

(Soon, Mew and the others arrive to see the girl and her Chikorita.)

Misty: "Hey! A Chikorita!"

(Misty says.)

Brock: "Cool,"

(Brock says.)

Mew: "Let's check out what the Pokédex says,"

(Mew says, and gets out her Pokedex.)

(Dexter says.)

Dexter: "Chikorita, the Leaf Pokémon. A Grass Type. Chikorita releases a sweet, relaxing fragrance from the leaf on its head."

Misty: "That little headband makes Chikorita look really sporty, doesn't it?"

(Misty replies.)

Jen: "Yeah. And it's very cute,"

(Jen says.)

Brock: "I betcha that girl's just starting out as a Pokémon trainer and she got her Chikorita in New Bark Town from Professor Elm,"

(Brock suspects.)

Mew: "Let's see what kind of attacks it uses,"

(Mew says.)

(Soon, a Rattata comes out of the bushes in front of Chikorita.)

(The girl calls out.)

The girl: "Taking the field for the visitors is Rattata! And on the mound for the home team is the vegetation sensation, the grass type that'll mow the competition down, the one, the only, Chikorita! It's game time!"

(Chikorita turns to its trainer and nods.)

(Then the girl shouts.)

the girl: "Play ball! Tackle attack, now!"

(Chikorita charges, but Rattata moves out of the way.)

(Then the girl says.)

the girl: "And the first one's slow and in the dirt, but Chikorita's just warming up. The next one's coming straight down the plate! Go!"

(Chikorita charges again, and ends with a direct hit this time, knocking Rattata out cold.)

The girl: "Perfect strike! Chikorita's smoking Tackle attack knocked Rattata right out of the box! This game is over!"

(The girl shouts, and gets out her Pokeball.)

(She quickly throws it, baseball style, and hit Rattata with ease.)

(Then the Pokeball wobbles a bit, and with a ping, Rattata is captured.)

the girl: "Another Team Casey win!"

(the girl cheers.)

(Soon, the girl named Casey, and her Chikorita high five in celebration.)

(Then Casey says.)

Casey: "Will the fans rise and salute Casey and Chikorita by singing their victory song?"

(And soon, the girl begins to sing.)

Casey:

We all love Electabuzz,

No other team's the same,

The players charge the field

and electrify the game.

Chikortia swings its leaf to the music.

Casey;

They pitch and catch and run so quick,

Their baseball bats are thunder sticks,

Their power hitters do the trick,

Electabuzz, our favorite pick.

We love their yellow colors and their black stripes are the best,

Electabuzz, they're better than the rest.

(Mew and the others are rather baffled by Casey's singing.)

Casey: "Yay!"

(Casey cheers.)

Casey: "Chikorita, return!"

(and returns Chikorita to its Pokeball.)

(Casey soon notices Mew and the others behind them, and stares at them when she makes a bit of an angry look.)

(She then charges right at them with a yell.)

Mew: "Hey, no!"

(Mew cries out.)

(Casey suddenly stops in her tracks.)

Casey: "I don't believe it! An honest to goodness Pikachu! Yay! Yay!"

(Making Mew, Pikachu, and Eevee confused.)

(Then she picks up Pikachu.)

Casey: "I just love those powerful pinstripes and that shocking yellow coat!"

(And then nuzzles him.)

Casey: "Your Pikachu's a grand slam!"

Mew: "Hey, easy. That's a high voltage Pikachu,"

(Mew warns her.)

Casey: "You think it would really shock me?"

(Casey asks in excitement.)

Casey: "What a blast! I always wondered what that's like. Come on, Pikachu! Turn on the juice! Give me a taste!"

(Pikachu is about to do as he's asks.)

(But Mew cries out.)

Mew: "No, Pikachu! She doesn't know what she's saying!

(Then Casey screams at Pikachu.)

Casey: "Come on, you little rat! Give me a jolt!"

(Pikachu becomes scared and about to do it.)

Mew: "Don't do it, Pika…"

(Mew cries out.)

(However it's too late, Pikachu shocks Mew, Casey, and Eevee.)

Casey: "Bad idea,"

(Casey weakly says.)

(Unphased, Mew says.)

Mew: "I tried to tell you."

Casey: "Thanks a lot,"

(Casey says, still paralyzed.)

Mew: "Don't mention it,"

(Mew says.)

(Then Casey collapses to the ground.)

Misty: "I think she's grounded,"

(Misty says.)

Tomo: "Yeah,"

(Tomo says.)

(Later, Mew and the others get acquainted with Casey.)

(Casey introduces herself.)

Casey: "My name's Casey. I'm a huge baseball fan, and I just became a Pokémon trainer."

Brock: "We really like your Chikorita. Did you get it from Professor Elm?"

(Brock replies.)

Casey: "I sure did,"

(Casey says.)

Brock: "See? I told you,"

(Brock replies.)

Mew: "I come from Pallet Town and my name's Mew,"

(Mew says.)

Brock: "And my name's Brock,"

(Brock says.)

Misty: "Everybody calls me Misty,"

(Misty says.)

Tomo: "I'm Tomo,"

(Tomo says.)

(Then Jen says.)

Jen: "And I'm Jen."

(Casey takes off her hat.)

Casey: "Pleased to make your acquaintance."

(The Pokemon happily says.)

All Pokemon: (Nice to meet you!)

Casey: "Oh, I'm just crazy about yellow Pokémon, especially with stripes, that's why I think your Pikachu's so adorable,"

(Casey says, having sparkling eyes towards Pikachu.)

(Then says.)

Casey: "But the Pokémon I want more than anything in the world is Electabuzz. Someday, I might even have a whole team of beautiful yellow Pokémon. All of them with stripes."

Mew: "How come you like yellow and striped Pokémon so much, Casey?"

(Mew asks.)

Casey: "Cause my family's been rooting for the Electabuzz for three generations,"

(Casey says.)

Mew: "Electabuzz? You mean you like rooting for the Pokemon?"

(Mew asks, confused.)

Casey: "I don't mean the Pokemon, Electabuzz,"

(Casey says.)

(Then Brock soon understands and asks.)

Brock: "You mean the Electabuzz baseball team?"

Casey: "That's right,"

(Casey says.)

Brock: "An Electabuzz fan, huh? No wonder you're so full of energy,"

(Brock says.)

(Then Mew has an idea.)

Mew: "Hey Casey, you wanna see something? Pikachu is not the only yellow Pokemon I have with black stripes"

Casey: "Really?! Show me?! Show me?!"

(Casey asks, excited.)

Mew: "Alright. Elekid! Beedrill! I choose you!"

(Mew calls out and throws her Pokeball.)

(And with that her Elekid and Beedrill come out of her Pokeballs.)

(Casey gasps in amazement.)

Casey: "Oh wow! You have an Elekid and a Beedrill! They look so amazing! And your Beedrill looks strong. And your Elekid looks cool and has spirit. I bet it will be a great Electabuzz one day when it evolves."

Elekid: "Bi Bii!"

(Elekid says, and spins his arms as sparks come out of his arms and plug head.)

(Mew giggles and says.)

Mew: "Easy Elekid, you don't want to shock someone."

(Elekind nods his head in reply and stops spinning his arms.)

Misty: "Hmm, I heard of the Electabuzz, don't they usually finish in last place?"

(Misty asks.)

(But Casey says with confidence.)

Casey: "This season's gonna be different. This season, they're gonna win the whole series."

(Clueless, Mew asks.)

Mew: "I don't get it. Who exactly is the Electabuzz baseball team?"

(Casey gasps in shock.)

Casey: "You don't know who the Electabuzz are?!"

Mew: "Um no. I never watched baseball before. I barely know much about it,"

(Mew says.)

Casey: "How could you not know?!"

(Casey asks, still shocked.)

(Brock then says.)

Brock: "It's probably because Mew was still learning about human society at the time."

Casey: "Huh?"

(Casey says, confused.)

Misty: "It's true. You see, Mew, and Tomo were actually raised by Pokemon. Of course, Mew lived in the forest of Pallet Town at the time, while Tomo lived in the Pokemon Preservation Zone, where catching Pokemon isn't allowed,"

(Misty explains.)

Casey: "Really?"

(Casey asks, surprised.)

Mew: "It's true, so I'm afraid I never watched baseball or heard of your favorite team before,"

(Mew says.)

Casey: "Oh, I see,"

(Casey says.)

(Then she remembers.)

Casey: "Now that I'm looking at you, I think I've seen you before. And you say you're Mew from Pallet Town."

Mew: "That's right,"

(Mew says.)

(Then Casey gets all excited again.)

Casey: "Get out of town! You're the Mew, the trainer who won the Indigo Plateau Pokemon League in the Kanto Region?! And the one who defeated the strongest Gym Leader of the Orange Crew?!"

Mew: "Um yes, I am,"

(Mew says.)

Casey: "That's so amazing,"

(Casey says, excited.)

(Then turns to Pikachu and Eevee.)

Casey: "And this is the Pikachu and Eevee you battled with?! That's so cool!"

Mew: "Thanks,"

(Mew says.)

(Then says.)

Mew: "Sorry I feel a bit clueless about your baseball team."

Casey: "That's okay. I guess not everyone is into baseball, bit in your case, I guess you just need to learn,"

(Casey says.)

Mew: "I sure like to hear about it. Since you talk about the team having a Pokemon name, do they let the Pokemon play too?"

(Mew asks.)

Casey: "Hmm, no they don't let Pokemon play, but I did remember hearing about a game that is similar to baseball that actually allows the Pokemon to play in a different Region. Either way, the teams are based on Pokemon,"

(Casey says.)

Misty: "She's right. There's the Starmie's and the Magikarp's,"

(Misty says.)

Mew: "And I'm guessing there's teams like the Charizard's, Venusaur's, or Gengar's?"

(Mew asks.)

Casey: "Not that I know of, but they sound like great games. But there are the Charizard's,"

(Casey says)

Tomo: "That's neat,"

(Tomo says.)

Casey: "And the Starmies are known as the Electabuzz's rival,"

(Casey says.)

Mew: "Sounds interesting,"

(Mew says.)

(Then says.)

Mew: "But let's stop talking about Baseball, I like to hear a bit more about you. Did you catch other Pokemon?"

Casey: "Yeah. I only caught Pidgey, Rattata though. Since I started yesterday,"

(Casey says.)

Mew: "Oh right,"

(Mew replies.)

(Then smiles and says.)

Mew: "I remember when I started my journey. Of course before that I was always interacting with Pokemon."

Misty: "That's because you used to live with them,"

(Misty says.)

Mew: "That's right,"

(Mew says.)

(Then Casey asks.)

Casey: "Hey Mew, do you think we can battle?"

Mew: "Huh? Battle?"

(Mew says, confused.)

Casey: "Yeah. I mean, I know you're a skilled trainer, but if I'm going to get better as a trainer, I gotta start battling other trainers,"

(Casey says.)

Mew: "I don't see why not. Just remember, you're just getting started and you can learn from other trainers who are more experienced, like Brock, Misty, and Me, and even Tomo, he's been with Pokemon as long as I have"

(Mew says.)

Brock: "She's right. What's really important in a battle is to give it your best shot,"

(Brock says.)

Misty: "Yeah. And you'll do great, even if you're a rookie for the time being,"

(Misty says.)

Casey: "Really?"

(Casey asks.)

Mew: "That's right. As long as you and your Pokemon do your best as a team, it doesn't matter if you win or lose,"

(Mew says.)

(Casey smiles and says.)

Casey: "Thanks."

Mew: "You know Casey, I kind of like your spirit. You kind of remind me of me in a way,"

(Mew says.)

Casey: "Really?"

(Casey asks, confused.)

Mew: "In a way. I really like your tough and strong spirit, and you're the type who will never give up for anything,"

(Mew says.)

Misty: "Yeah. Kind of like Mew. She's not the type to quit, even if she does something reckless,"

(Misty says.)

(Mew blushes.)

Mew: "Give me a break."

Casey: "Thanks,"

(Casey says with a smile.)

(And soon, Casey remembers the day she started out as a trainer and was about to leave her home.)

(Casey's father says.)

Casey's father: "For generations, this family's had a proud tradition of cheering only for our heroes on the Electabuzz, but now, Casey, we have a new hero to root for, and that hero is you."

(Casey's grandfather says.)

Casey's grandfather: "We're mighty proud of you, Casey. You're the first member of this family ever to try and become a Pokémon trainer. So take a lesson from the Electabuzz. They never give up, and neither should you."

Casey's father: "Keep trying your best, and we'll never give up on you, either,"

(Casey's father says.)

Casey's grandfather: "We'll be rooting for the Electabuzz and for you, too,"

(Casey's grandfather says.)

Casey: "I'll make you all proud of me, no matter what happens, I'll never quit!"

(Casey says.)

(Soon, Casey's family and relatives cheer Casey good luck on her journey.)

(Then Casey says with pride.)

Casey: "Well, win or lose, I am gonna make them proud of me! The Electabuzz don't give up and I'm not gonna give up either! I'll keep trying, I'll try just as hard as the Electabuzz do and nothing's gonna stop me! I made a promise and I'm gonna keep it!"

Mew: "That's the spirit, Casey, and for that, I'm more than happy to have a battle with you,"

(Mew says.)

(Suddenly, they hear a voice.)

???: "Spoken like a true Electabuzz fan."

(Then they hear another voice.)

???: "With guts like that you're bound to beat any trainer."

(Just then, three figures come down wearing Electabuzz uniforms.)

(Unknown to them, this is Team Rocket in another one of their clever disguises.)

(All three cheers.)

Team Rocket: "Electabuzz! Electabuzz!"

(Jessie and James cheer.)

Jessie and James: "They play the game like nobody does! Everybody's cheering and it's because…"

Meowth: "Swing it!"

(Meowth says.)

Jessie: "Everybody loves Electabuzz!"

(Jessie and James continue.)

(Meowth laughs.)

(Mew and the others, including Casey look a bit baffled.)

Casey: "Are you ball players?"

(Casey asks.)

Jessie: "No, we're not players, we're just rabid Electabuzz fans,"

(Jessie says.)

Casey: "Electabuzz fans? "I'm the biggest Electabuzz fan of all!"

(Casey says, happily.)

Jessie: "We couldn't help but overhear you wanting a Pokemon battle, and we think it will be a great idea,"

(Jessie says.)

James: "And we know a perfect place to battle,"

(James says.)

Mew: "Really?"

(Mew asks.)

Jessie: "Yeah. There's a baseball field a short distance away and it's a great place for a battle, and it's suitable for us Electabuzz fans,"

(Jessie says.)

Casey: "That sounds amazing,"

(Casey says.)

(Then turns to Mew.)

Casey: "What do you think?"

Mew: "Sure. I don't mind. I've never seen a real baseball field before,"

(Mew says.)

Team Rocket: "Then let's play ball!"

(Team Rocket cheers.)

(Soon, everyone arrives at the baseball field, the three have told them about.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Casey, this will be your first official battle, so I'll let you make the rules."

Casey: "Sounds great. We'll have a one on one Pokemon battle. And the will is decided when the Pokemon from either side is unable to battle,"

(Casey says.)

Mew: "Sounds good to me,"

(Mew says.)

Casey: "Just so you know that even if you are a very skilled trainer, I'll train very hard to become a great trainer!"

(Casey says.)

Brock: "Yeah! That's the spirit, Casey!"

(Brock calls out.)

(But Misty says.)

Misty: "Uh, Brock. Aren't we supposed to be on Mew's side?"

Brock: "I know, but it wouldn't hurt to cheer her on for her first battle,"

(Brock says.)

Misty: "That's a good point,"

(Misty says.)

(Then cheers.)

Misty: "Do your best Casey!"

Brock: "Go, Casey!"

(Brock says.)

(Then Tomo cheers.)

Tomo: "You can do it, Mew!"

Jen: "We're rooting for you!"

(Jen calls out.)

(Mew then calls out.)

Mew: "Just so you know, I'm rooting for you to do your very best!"

Casey: "Thanks Mew!"

(Casey says.)

(Then takes out her Pokeball.)

Casey: "Now, a Pokémon First Official, and this time, it's a whole new ball game, fans, as Casey goes into her windup, the kick, and she delivers!"

(and throws her Pokeball.)

(And with that, Chikorita comes out.)

(Mew turns to Pikachu.)

Mew: "Alright Pikachu, let's go!"

(Pikachu then enters the battlefield.)

Casey: "Just so you know, I may be a rookie, but I don't plan on giving up,"

(Casey says.)

(Then calls out.)

Casey: "Chikorita, use your Sweet Scent attack, now!"

(Chikorita then launches Sweet Scent.)

(Soon, it hit both Pikachu and Mew.)

(Mew sighs.)

Mew: "It smells really nice."

(Then Casey calls out.)

Casey: "Chikorita, Tackle attack, now!"

(Chikorita attacks and lands on Pikachu.)

(Meanwhile, Jessie's voice appears from the scoreboard.)

Jessie: "Welcome, sports fans, to today's Pokémon Double Trouble Header! This broad game's already underway and Chikorita's in the lead, so James, tell the fans about our nasty plans."

(Turns out Team Rocket are watching the battle as they remain incognito.)

James: "Well, Jess, after those two little short stoops get through battling and wearing out their roster, Team Rocket will take the field and their Pokemon,"

(James says, and chuckles wickedly.)

Meowth: "This scheme oughta get us into the hall of shame,"

(Meowth says.)

(Then Jessie says.)

Jessie: "Yes, well, just make sure you don't commit any errors, Meowth."

Meowth: "Don't worry about that, coach. Meowth's on the ball, and so's our rooting section,"

(Meowth says.)

(And with that, Meowth presses the button.)

(Just then, robotic baseball players designed to look like Electabuzz players come out of the grandstands.)

(just above the pennant box playing a charge on the attempt, catching everyone's attention.)

Casey: "What's that?"

(Casey asks.)

(Just then, the robotic Electabuzz players send balloons into the air.)

(Then they cheer.)

robotic Electabuzz players: "Gotta catch em all! Gotta catch em all!

(That impresses James.)

James: "Say, that's pretty cool, Meowth."

Meowth: "That's cause they're electric fans,"

(Meowth says.)

(Mew giggles.)

Mew: "That's sweet, the Electabuzz fans set up a cheering session for you."

(Then Casey calls out.)

Casey: "Thanks, fans! I'll do my best! And now, let's continue with the battle And now, I'm gonna even up the score."

Mew: "Alright then!"

(Mew says.)

(And calls out.)

Mew: "Pikachu, Thunderbolt attack!"

(Pikachu then launches the attack, but Chikorita reflects it with the leaf on its head.)

(Pikachu is shocked.)

Pikachu: "Pika?" (What's this?)

Misty: "Pikachu's attacks aren't working!"

(Misty says.)

(Then Brock calls out.)

Brock: "Mew, Chikorita's a grass type! They're strong against electric attacks!"

(Then Casey calls out.)

Casey: "Go, Chikorita, hit up the middle with a Tackle attack, now!"

(Chikorita dodges.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Pikachu, dodge!"

(Pikachu dodges the attack, and barely misses because Chikorita is fast.)

Mew: "That's some speed you got. And it would have been hard if it strikes,"

(Mew says.)

Casey: "That would have been called a line drive! Powerful baseball hit!"

(Casey says.)

(At the scoreboard, Meowth says.)

Meowth: "Now the next batter steps up, and it's the real hitting machine and a Team Rocket lineup!"

(Just then, a strange machine with a pink baseball bat in its hands, rises from the ground of homebase.)

(Mew turns to notice it.)

Mew: "What is that thing?"

(Soon, a fully blue tank with the Team Rocket 'R' on front appears, and it looks like it's ready for a homerun.)

Mew: "I got a bad feeling about this!"

(Mew says, worried.)

(Soonl the machine begins charging towards Pikachu and Chikorita.)

(Misty panics.)

Misty: "That thing's headed right for the Pokémon!"

(As Brock cries out.)

Brock: "Look out!"

(Chikorita panics, but Pikachu steps in to protect it.)

(Then the machine hit them right out of the park.)

(Mew cries out.)

Mew: "Pikachu!"

(Eevee cries out.)

Eevee: "Eevee!" (Pikachu!)

Casey: "Chikorita!"

(Casey cries out.)

Jessie: "They're hit deep to straight away center field!"

(Jessie calls out.)

Meowth: "They could be outta here!"

(Meowth calls out.)

(Soon, Pikachu and Chikorita are flown over the fence, and are gone.)

(Once over the fence, the scoreboard flashes HR.)

(Jessie cheers.)

Jessie: "A homerun! Now we'll run home with our two new Pokémon!"

(Mew and Casey rush over.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Pikachu!"

Casey: "Chikorita!"

(Casey calls out.)

(Soon, the group can hear Team Rocket's laughter.)

(Mew quickly recognizes them.)

Mew: "It's them!"

(And Team Rocket performs the motto.)

Jessie: Attention, twerps, it's prepare for trouble day!

James: But you're both out, which makes it a double play!

(Soon, Team Rocket rises from the platform dressed as baseball players.)

Jessie: To protect our team from devastation.

James: To excite our side with a big ovation.

Jessie: To strike out the evils of truth and love.

James: To extend our reach with a baseball glove.

Jessie: Jessie.

(And soon has fire in her eyes.)

James: James.

(James is wearing an umpire mask, and has fire in his eyes.)

Jessie: Team Rocket, throws their fastballs at the speed of light!

(Jessie winds up for the pitch.)

(And throws the ball.)

(And the ball lands in the glove James is wearing.)

Meowth: Strike three!

James (teary-eyed): We won, Jessie!

(James takes off the mask and runs to Jessie.)

Jessie (teary-eyed): James!

(Jessie then runs to James.)

(Then the two embrace each other.)

James (teary-eyed): Jessie!

(Meanwhile, Meowth is hiding behind the tree, watching his teammates in tears.)

Meowth (teary-eyed): That's, right.

Jen: "Oh no!"

(Jen says, shocked.)

Mew: "It's Team Rocket again!"

(Mew says.)

Casey: "You know them?"

(Casey asks.)

Mew: "They're a bunch of crooks who steal Pokemon,"

(Mew says.)

(Then Tomo calls out.)

Tomo: "And they follow us wherever we go!"

Jessie: "Your Pokémon will make us rich, girly!"

(Jessie says.)

Meowth: "We're tired of being poor sports!"

(Meowth says.)

(Casey growls in anger.)

Casey: "How could I be fooled by such no-good thieves like you?!"

James: "Just lucky. Sorry to hit and run, but our work here's done,"

(James says, and has Pikachu and Chikorita in his arms.)

Mew: "You're not going anywhere until you give us back our Pokémon!"

(Mew angrily says.)

Meowth: "That's what you think, twerp! But I'll throw you a curve. Some sinkers and sliders, too,"

(Meowth says, and presses a button.)

Meowth: "I'm gonna have a ball with this."

(Meowth calls out.)

Meowth: "Aim and fire!"

(The pitching machine starts launching baseballs, causing Casey to panic while Mew stands firm.)

(Casey panics, and hides behind Mew.)

Casey: "Ow! I give up! I give up!"

Mew: "We can't just quit and let Team Rocket beat us!"

(Mew says.)

(Casey gasps in realization.)

(Mew says.)

(Soon, some baseballs are soon heading towards Mew.)

(Then Mew catches the baseball with her bare hand, causing Casey to gasp in shock.)

(Mew stumbles back and falls on her bottom.)

(Mew turns to Casey.)

Mew: "Hey Casey, I think I learn there's one big difference between a Pokémon match and baseball."

Casey: "What's that?"

(Casey asks.)

Mew: "A Pokéball's doesn't get thrown this hard,"

(Mew says.)

(Mew then places the ball down as she looks at her hand.)

(Casey is stunned to see Mew having a very bad bruise on her hand.)

Casey: "That must have been a beanball,"

(Casey says in concern.)

(And with that, Casey picks up a baseball.)

Casey: "And you're right, this match isn't over until it's over! It's my turn at bat!"

(Soon the pitching machine starts throwing more baseballs.)

Casey: "And this time, I'm not striking out!"

(Casey says.)

(Soon, Casey begins to hit every baseball that comes her way.)

Mew: "That's it! Keep swinging!"

(Mew calls out.)

(Casey continues swinging her bat and keeps hitting baseballs.)

Brock: "Now Casey's batting a thousand!"

(Brock says, amazed.)

Misty: "She's hitting everything they throw at her!"

(Misty says.)

Tomo: "That's so awesome!"

(Tomo cheers.)

(Then Jen cheers.)

Jen: "Go Casey!"

(Even Team Rocket is shocked.)

Jessie: "All of a sudden, that little worm's a big league slugger!"

(Jessie says shocked.)

(James turns to Meowth.)

James: "You said you'd have things under control!"

Meowth: "Yeah, but in the late innings, I always lose control,"

(Meowth sheepishly says.)

(Then James notices.)

James: "Don't look now, but even our automated bat squad's turning against us!"

(Indeed, the robotic spectators start cheering for Casey.)

robotic spectators: "Gotta hit em all! Gotta hit em all!"

(Mew laughs with a smile.)

Mew: "Now for some ace relief from the Poké-bullpen!"

Casey: "Let's put this ballgame away!"

(Casey says.)

(Mew then calls out.)

Mew: "Squirtle, Bulbasaur, I choose you!"

Casey: "Pidgey, Rattata, I choose you!"

(Casey calls out.)

(Soon, all four come out of their Pokeballs.)

(Soon, Squirtle and Bulbasaur catch the baseballs and throw them at Team Rocket.)

(Soon, Team Rocket gets striked with the baseballs, and one manages to hit Meowth in the face.)

(Then Casey calls out.)

Casey: "Rattata, line drive!"

(Rattata charges and hits James in the stomach.)

(Then Casey calls out.)

Casey: "Hurry up, Pidgey! Tag em out!"

(Then Pidgey swoops in and strikes at James, forcing him to release Pikachu and Chikorita.)

(Soon, their Pokemon reunite with their trainers.)

Mew: "Glad you're back on the team, Pikachu,"

(Mew says.)

Pikachu: "Pika," (Me, too.)

(Pikachu says.)

(Eevee says.)

Eevee: "Eevee." (We're glad you're safe.)

Casey: "Chikorita!"

(Casey happily says.)

(Then asks.)

Casey: "Are you ready to send em to the showers?"

Chikorita: "Chiko," (Sure am.)

(Soon, the trainers and Pokemon turn their attention to Team Rocket, causing Team Rocket to flinch.)

(Mew then says.)

Mew: "Well, looks like we're going into extra innings."

Casey: "But I have a feeling this game may be called, on account of pain,"

(Casey says.)

(Team Rocket panics.)

(Then Casey calls out.)

Casey: "Chikorita, Razor Leaf!"

(Chikorita fires the Razor Leaf, and strikes at Team Rocket.)

(leaving Team Rocket uniform with small tears, and Meowth has multiple scars.)

(Then Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Pikachu, Thunderbolt attack! Eevee, use Swift.

(Soon, Pikachu uses Thunderbolt and strikes at Team Rocket, and Eevee uses swift.)

(Then they both call out.)

Mew and Casey: "Now!"

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Pikachu! Eevee!

Casey: "Chikorita!"

(Casey calls out.)

(Then they both shout.)

Mew and Casey: "Triple Tackle attack!"

(And with that, all three Pokemon charge and hit their target with full blast, sending Team Rocket out of the park.)

(Team Rocket screams.)

Team Rocket: "Looks like Team Rocket's striking out again!"

(And are outta here!)

(Mew and Casey wave.)

Mew and Casey: "Goodbye!"

Misty: "Whoa! Team Rocket's out of the park!"

(Misty says.)

Brock: "Who would've guessed that those three flops would become such a big hit?"

(Brock replies.)

(Mew and Casey share a high five, along with Pikachu, Eevee, and Chikorita.)

(Later, Mew and her friends and Casey are at the crossroads about to say their farewells.)

Mew: "Sorry that your first Official Pokemon battle didn't turn out as planned,"

(Mew says.)

Casey: "That's okay, in the end we ended up winning it,"

(Casey says.)

(Mew nods her head.)

(Then Casey happily says.)

Casey: "If I keep trying just like the Electabuzz do, maybe someday I'll be a great trainer just like you are, Mew."

Mew: "Yeah. And I'll start training harder, because you're gonna be tough to beat,"

(Mew says.)

Casey: "Maybe we'll even battle each other in the Johto League,"

(Casey says.)

(Then turns to Pikachu.)

Casey: "Pikachu, if I ever get my own team of yellow Pokémon, I hope they're all as brave and beautiful as you are."

Pikachu: "Pikachu," (Thanks, Casey.)

(Pikachu says.)

(Then Casey says.)

Casey: "Bye, guys. And thanks."

(and takes her leave.)

Mew: "Bye, Casey,"

(Mew says.)

Misy: "Good luck on your journey,"

(Misy says.)

Tomo and Jen: "Bye!"

(Tomo and Jen say, and wave goodbye.)

(As Casey walks away, Brock has a thought.)

Brock [in mind]: "That Casey's gonna be a very interesting young lady. I wonder if she has a sister."

(Misty simply sighs and sweat drops at the idea.)

(Then Mew says.)

Mew: "I can't wait till we meet again. Cause the next time I see her, she's not gonna be a rookie anymore. She's gonna be a real pro."

(And with that, Mew and her friends begin to continue their journey as Casey travels to become a trainer.)
