Charlotte paced anxiously outside the courtyard, occasionally looking inside, feeling both nervous and hesitant about whether she should go in and report.

Though she couldn't see what was happening in the courtyard, she could hear the sounds of Mr. Owen and the lady clinking glasses.

Since she had been with the lady, Charlotte had never seen her drink so heartily; many times, it was just a sip, and then she would stop.

Only when she was with Mr. Owen did the lady seem different from usual, or perhaps that was her true self?

Charlotte didn't know, but she had just received urgent news that had to be conveyed immediately to the lady and Owen.

While she was still hesitating, Leslie's voice suddenly came from the courtyard.

"Is there something? Come in and say it."

Hearing this, Charlotte immediately lowered her head and quickly walked into the courtyard.

Once inside, Charlotte was slightly surprised.
