~~~Third Person, Xandar~~~
~~~July 1942~~~
The conflict began without the need for polite and diplomatic conversations, instead, the witches flying overhead, seeing that three of the invaders were about to escape, acted immediately, and as the conflict had already begun after firing their arrows, they did not beat around the bush and with movements of their saddle whips, urged their wyverns to attack those who took to the skies for a few moments.
Samantha, rider of one of the wyverns that were closest to one of the invaders, urged her wyvern to approach and attack the man, and her mount, following its rider's orders to the letter, folded its membranous wings and dived at full speed towards Filio, while screeching and opening his jaws, ready to eat his target.
But contrary to what Samantha and her mount expected, her target realized the danger, and immediately raised his right arm, which held a large round shield, which completely stopped the bite that if not stopped, would have torn off his head.
The wyvern, upon feeling something inedible in its mouth, became even angrier, and despite having netherite chainmail armor on its body, it did not hinder its mobility, so it flexed its body and brought its two large paws close to its mouth, ready to tear with its claws that annoyance that prevented it from eating.
Filio found himself in trouble, on the one hand, he had his right arm held to his shield, thus avoiding the wyvern's jaws, but when he saw that its claws were also approaching him, he let go of the shield and dropped, as Samantha's wyvern managed to remove the shield embedded in its mouth.
Filio fell to the ground with an accompanying thud, creating a small crater where he fell, as hundreds of arrows struck him, forcing him to cover his head with his forearm protectors, having lost his shield.
A mob of civilians, armed with bows and crossbows, approached at a safe distance from where Filio had fallen, and with courage and great agility, began to attack him with their arrows and crossbow bolts, which, although they did not manage to do much damage to Filio due to his armor, they did manage to keep him in one place, until help arrived.

While Filio was being harassed by the civilians who held a pristine fury towards him for invading their beloved land, Gudmond and Belgar, also fell to the ground, but because they were hit with the enchanted whips of the witches, they presented wounds on their arms and backs.
Belgar got up from the ground, his face a little dirty with dirt and mud, angry at the unexpected attack, but unable to react in time because he was still looking at the sky where he assumed his attackers were, he did not notice the proximity of two tattooed lizards, which ran with unbridled rage towards him.
One of the tattooed lizards reached Belgar and grabbed him by one leg, to then start dragging him while trying to bite his leg that was so far being protected by his armor, the other tattooed lizard, taking advantage of Belgar's vulnerability, jumped and grabbed his right arm, at the instant it slashed and bit Belgar's body with cruelty and rage.
Belgar was engulfed in a two-sided attack, with no way to break free from the jaws of the two lizards, which would not let go of their prey after holding them, instead, Belgar did not let his humiliating situation continue, and clenched the fist of his left hand, slammed it against the head of the tattooed lizard holding his right arm.
"Crack!" a small, but indistinguishable sound of breaking bones was heard, and the tattooed lizard, who previously held his jaw on Belgar's arm, loosened his grip and fell to the ground, due to his broken skull. The other tattooed lizard, after seeing his companion die, increased his attack, and with force, lifted Belgar off the ground by his leg, and shook him from right to left.
"AH!" Belgar cried out in pain and fury, as he felt his flesh being penetrated by the tattooed lizard's sword-like teeth, and in a desperate act, he began to kick with his free leg at the tattooed lizard's head, which began to be hurt due to the blows.
Soon, Belgar fell back to the ground, and the tattooed lizard fell dead, as Gudmond ran up to him in an attempt to help him, instead, Gudmond had to stop his advance, due to a glowing whip that passed just ahead of him.
The owner of the whip introduced herself as Valery, one of the most dangerous witches in Xandar, and one of the most volatile, "but what have we here," she said, retracting her whip and beginning to circle Gudmond, who unsheathed his bastard sword and tightened his grip on his shield.
"Naughty children who don't know how to sit still, but calm down, I'm here to teach you", Valery commented, then took a potion, as her face showed its true face, a dark face with scars on it, and a huge mouth full of black and rotten teeth.
"We don't want war against Midgardians, we are only here for an Asgardian fugitive," Gudmond, being the leader of the mission, opted for a peaceful path, even after being attacked, but, instead, he received a mocking laugh from Valery. "Hahaha, you will receive nothing but death and destruction, you shouldn't have invaded Xandar, the only thing that awaits you is death."
With that said, Valery ran towards Gudmund at full speed, with her whip in hand and a maniacal look, upon seeing the threat took his bastard sword intending to attack, and maneuvered it in a horizontal parabola in position to take Valery's head, only for her, in a show of superior agility to change course towards Filio, who had no time to respond because he was still on the ground on his knees, since his right leg had been badly injured, and he could only raise his head upon sensing danger.
Unfortunately for Filio, he had no time to respond, and Valery took advantage of that, because in an instant she was in front of him, and the other she maneuvered her whip with a mastery that only her training and familiarity with the weapon could offer her, and with that, she managed to wrap the tip of the whip around Filio's unprotected neck, who began to scream due to the offensive and dangerous incantations of the whip.
Gudmond did not stand idly by and watch his friend being killed, and with enormous force, he brandished his two-meter sword against Valery's whip, in an attempt to cut it off and thus give Filio room to remove the weapon from his neck.
But it was there that something surprising happened, his sword, an ancient artifact of more than a thousand years since its creation and made of Uru metal, was stopped at the moment it made contact with Valery's whip, releasing sparks and not being enough to cut the whip, which was made of Netherite and enjoyed effects based on enchantments.
Valery, on the other hand, being sensitive to magic and everything related to it, felt the resident power of the sword, in particular, felt the reaction of the sword making contact with the whip, with the metal of the sword beginning to slowly but steadily absorb the surface layers of the whip's enchantments, which surprised Valery.
Knowing that, Valery understood that it was no longer time for games, and wasting no time, she grabbed a poison potion and popped it into her mouth, holding it there, then straining at her whip and pulling Belgar towards her.
Gudmond did not stand idly by, and noticing that Belgar was still in pain and the skin on his neck was turning dark, he unleashed a series of blows at Valery, who chose to evade the attacks, but without stopping them outright, due to the power residing in Gudmond's sword, but in his rising fury, Gudmond made an opening in his defense, giving Valery room to get a little closer and spit out all the poison potion he had earlier poured into her mouth, spraying it at Gudmond.
Gudmond could only raise his arm and shield his face with the armor covering his forearms, thus stopping the potion and protecting himself, but that was what Valery wanted, and taking advantage of the time given, she pulled Belgar back and, taking two poison potions, threw them full in Belgar's face.
"AHHHHH!" Belgar's screams soon followed, with Gudmond turning to look and noticing how Belgar's face began to melt, his eye sockets falling to the ground and his tongue turning to bloody water.
[Valery, gūrogon ruaragon (Valery, cover yourself)] A shout alerted Valery, and without hesitation, she withdrew her whip from the neck of Belgar's dead body, and then took two jumps and moved a few meters away from Gudmond, as from the sky, three blocks of TNT fell, which soon exploded, sending the berserker away, and leaving him with burns on part of his body.
"Damn, that hurt!" shouted Gudmond, as he checked his wounds. Noticing that his armor had stopped most of the blow, but his right arm, which had been unprotected because the armor there had melted due to the potion Valery threw at him, caused the arm to be broken.
Just at that, he raised his head and managed to see several black metal giants with smoky markings approaching at full speed towards his direction, as they began to unsheathe swords of the same material they were made of.
The reinforcements had arrived, and with them; the death of more Asgardians.
