Zircon Valean, the second legitimate son of the high lord, and a peculiar character with a penchant to do the abrupt and unknown walked down the long-winding steps that led to the Akira tribe's shrine.

In their last meeting with his royal father, Zircon had felt utterly humiliated when their father asked them to present their progress at invading Dragonia—but his embarrassment would not run for so long.

His elder brother might have presented something, but Zircon would ensure that he remained at the top in their dangerous tug of power.
