Everything felt... Calmer to Percy. Ever since he went insane with knowledge, everything felt toned down.
Probably thanks to his passive skill mental fortification, as it allows him to be more calmer, and less prone to insanity and the likes.
He still made it in time for school, but he spent most of his time with hel as she was knowledgeable about runes.
It was kinda funny seeing Grovers expression when he brought a girl over to the dorm. Not for the reason you might think.
Supposedly it was for a "project" related to the Norse. In reality, Percy was learning runes.
You know what's amazing about being friends with the goddess of the underworld? She had a vast amount of knowledge of everything.
Runes, swords, spears... Anything combat related. She was smart too.
Percy viewed her as a friend, and should anyone attempt to harm them ... Well, just ask the last guy in yharnam how that turned out.
Not very well I tell you.
"Say hel, I know you're tied to me while I'm "here" in the waking world, but does it ever just feel weird?" Percy asked.
Hel frowned at the mention of his dreams.
"That is not normal. Whoever or whatever has control of you like that, is not an entity I myself can comprehend. More than that, it's an entity capable of being beyond mortal or God comprehension," she said.
Percy but his lip, if even hel didn't know what it was, then who's to say anyone did? Gehrman perhaps, but not even he would mention it.
Always avoiding the topic, or straight up staying silent. Gehrman knew things that Percy would either never know, or would eventually find out.
"Where did you get that tea from?" Hel blinked.
"Don't worry about it," Percy said as he took a sip. Mischief was clear in his eyes.
Percy went back to studying runes. He was a genius when it came to runes, and the likes.
Hel also watched over him, and corrected any mistakes he made.
"And then the thing picked me up, and then I went insane. Really it was... terrifying. All that knowledge and it caused my head to explode," Percy shuddered.
Apparently heads exploding appeared quite common for hel, as she hardly reacted.
"I believe you should learn to perform this rune. Protection. It'll protect you from magical attacks... But I don't think it'll protect you from the madness that you have experienced," hel said.
"And how would I know I did it properly?" Percy asked.
"Why through experience of course," hel said as if it was obvious.
...
Percy body bent backwards as hels spear nearly cut him in half. Say what you want, but battling inside a dream where you can't die? Genius.
Hel weapon transformed into twin daggers and their blades met. Sparks flew as Percy eyed her.
Instead of viewing her as a friend, at this moment in battle he was viewing her as prey. Percy's eyes took on a colder and more darker look.
Percy attacked swiftly and accurately aiming for any weak spots in her defenses. There were hardly any, and any that he found were fixed immediately.
"Sloppy. If you aim for vital places Everytime you become predictable, splice things up. Always watch your opponents feet," hel was giving advice, and that last one was met with Percy receiving a kick to the face.
It didn't "connect" per day, but Percy learned his lesson. Percy was beginning to learn the importance of footwork.
Sure his talent with a blade was higher than regular, but his footwork needed way more work.
Percy had dodged through one of hels attacks, before attacking back... After finding out about that ability, let's just say Percy did not have a good time anymore.
Percy groaned as he was slammed into the ground by Hel. Damn that girl was strong.
"Get up, we still have a long way to go," she said. A part of Percy whimpered before getting up and charging her again.
...(Just a mini thing. Not a part of the story)
"I am Melina... And I offer you an accord," Melina said. A red Honda Accord appeared behind her.
"Yes," Percy said without hesitation.
(End of chapter.)
