章 142: Stall For Time

Mike looked at the familiar kid in front of him and sighed as he watched his cousin tie up the guy's wound. He remembered the incident clearly and for some reason, he felt like there was more to it but he was unable to pinpoint why he felt like something was missing.

He watched as Aria cut open the cloth that stopped the bleeding and in a swift motion, pulled it off and pressed a sterilized lump of gauze onto the bleeding stump before she pushed a regeneration pill into the guy's mouth. 

The bleeding stopped and skin grew fast to cover the wound, forming a stump.

"Looks like I can't use my arm anymore, Aria.", he said as he gazed into her eyes lovingly with a sad smile on his face. 

Just looking at the guy made Mike's eyebrows twitch and he knew for a fact that something was wrong as the eyebrow twitching only happened when there was something sinister going on.
