At one of the tables, a beastman with a full mane of fur cascading down his back spoke in a loud voice.

"The ones where adventurers are going missing?" Another beastman with similar features chimed in. "It's just fake rumors, and no one is even paying attention to it."

"Haah! It's true, I heard it from my brother. He said it's happening quite often," the bear-kin retorted.

"So what? Let it happen then. It's not like we're going to be affected by it," shrugged the other beastman.

The old door of the restaurant screeched open as three figures walked in.
