章 84: 3 VS 3

General P.O.V.

"Yoriichi, you should not scare old people like the Mizukage here. What would have happened if you accidentally killed him or gave him a heart attack?" Uzukage reprimanded Yoriichi but to the ones who heard it, it was clear he was making fun of the Mizukage

"Sorry my bad Grandpa. I didn't know that the Mizukage had such a weak heart. Sorry Lord

Mizukage for my sword. She is kinda naughty and doesn't like people speaking ill about me." Yoriichi said while putting Muramasa back into the scabbard

The others in the room couldn't help but become speechless at the shameless duo of the grandpa and grandson.

The Mizukage was cursing them internally.

"But what my grandson said is right. We should be getting some compensation for participating in this silly tournament."

"Fine, We will offer you 150 million ryo and 50 tons of chakra metal." Mizukage said thinking that this amount would be enough to satisfy the Uzukage's greed but the Uzukage's next words made one of his vein burst out in anger.

"Huh? Do you think the three tail difference between the two tail beats is worth only this much? At least double the amount of both the things or is the most that poor?" Uzukage taunted the mizukage

Mizukage didn't want to agree to this but if he didn't then the other kages would think he was not confident in winning and his village was poor. He looked at his subordinates who nodded that they were confident of their victory.

"Fine, we will give you 300 million ryo and 100 tons of chakra metal but only if you win the competition." Mizukage said reluctantly

"Since it's discussed let's settle the other matters before doing this competition." Hashirama declared

The Kage meeting continued as they discussed all the remaining matters and then finally it was time for the battle between Mist and Uzushiogakure.

Everyone exited the hall and reunited with the crowd outside. Everyone was briefed about what was going to happen.

"Each great village is getting tailed beasts?!" One of them in the crowd exclaimed

"Is not that dangerous? What if they lose control and destroy the village?" Another one shouted in panic

The crowd became excited to see the battle between S rank powerhouses of two large Villages and decided to watch it too.

"Two villages fighting?!"

"This is huge! Will it lead to war between the two villages?

"Which village do you think will win?"

Everyone rushed towards the direction where the battle would be held to spectate it.

On the other hand, the Mizukage and the Uzukage were talking respectively to their subordinates who would participate in the battle.

"Alright Kengetsu (Hōzuki), Menki (Future third mizukage) and Hebi ( Elder of mist Yuki clan) you three would fight those bastards from Uzushiogakure. Make sure at least two of you win, we can't afford to lose." The Mizukage said as he continued "If we lose we would not only get the Three tails instead of the stronger tailed beasts six tails but we would also lose a lot of money and precious chakra metal."

"We understand Lord Mizukage. We could definitely defeat the shinobi from Uzushiogakure easily. So what if they have unique Kekkei Genkai or double kekkei genkais? In front of true strength they would lose easily." The Yuki Elder said arrogantly not knowing the true strength of his opponents.

"You should not underestimate Genkai Uzumaki of dark Release or Hanako Uzumaki of twin kekkei Genkais. Genkai's unique Kekkei Genkai absorbs all kinds of ninjutsu and we don't know what else he can do with his kekkei genkai. Let's not forget that he could use all three secret techniques of Uzumaki along with Fuinjutsu. On the other hand Hanako has the Kekkei Genkais of both Ice and crystal, she is known to have reached mastery over both of them." Mizukage warned them and reminded them of their opponent's strengths.

"Don't worry Lord Mizukage. Even if we lose against one of them, we could easily win against our third opponent which is the shinobi from the Chinoike clan. With my ice release, he would be dealt with easily." The Yuki Elder said

Mizukage nodded at that but he was still having a bad feeling but he didn't know what was causing it so he just let it slide.

On the other Hand, the Uzukage looked at Hanako and Genkai and said "You two should be enough to deal with them no matter who your opponents will be."

The two of them nodded at that but someone was not happy with this decision.

"But grandpa I want to fight too. Please let me fight." Yoriichi whined but the Uzukage with a stern look said "The battle would be too dangerous for you. The opponents would be kage or experienced elite jonins and you are not ready for them yet. They would even try to harm you seriously if not 'accidentally' kill you."

"But Grandpa, when will I ever be ready? I beat the entire team Tobirama without even using fuinjutsu and my Dojutsu. I could easily beat them too. Heck, I have even awakened the mark on my forehead which should make things even easier." Yoriichi said with puppy dog eyes while inside Yoriichi was thinking 'they would be perfect punching bags and test targets for my demon slayer mark.'

Uzukage thought for a while but eventually succumbed to his grandson's adorable eyes and said "Fine. You would be the second one to battle after Genkai. Even if you lose, Hanako should be enough to deal with the third opponent."

章 85: Genkai Vs Kengetsu

GENERAL P.O.V

After Ashira Uzumaki gave permission to Yoriichi to participate in the battle, he declared Yoriichi would fight at the end of 3 VS 3 matches.

Yoriichi did not like it and refused saying that he wouldn't get to fight as both Hanako and Genkai would easily win the matches.

With persuasion from both Genkai and Hanako, Yoriichi managed to convince Ashira and was thus going to fight after Genkai and before Hanako. Ashira was still reluctant about it but what can he do against the request of his cute grandson.

Yoriichi was beaming with excitement as he got to fight a strong foe and test the power of his newly awakened demon slayer mark. He was not scared of losing as he could use his Dojutsu to bail him out and even if he lost, Hanako could easily win her battle.

"Alright we would now start the battle. The crowd should go a little further back so as not to get caught in the fight. I would myself referee the fight. Don't worry, I would not make any partial decisions. The rules are simple you can use anything and even kill the opponent. But I am strongly against it. You can win the match by making the enemy surrender or the respective kage surrender on behalf of the participant or by killing the opponent." Hashirama declared

The crowd erupted in cheers while the respective kages were eager to know the strength of the elites of the two villages and see who would get which tailed beasts.

"Both the villages can send their participants for the first battle."

Genkai was already in the arena while the mist after seeing that Uzushiogakure had sent Genkai up first had a quick discussion about who to send.

"Kengetsu you should go since you would be a bad matchup for both Hanako Uzumaki and the Chinoike. Don't disappoint me" Mizukage said looking at the white haired man

Kengetsu was nervous facing Genkai of the dark release. It was a known fact that he can absorb ninjutsu and use it against his opponent. But he had to beat him for the village or he would be called a disgrace back in mist.

With that he too entered the arena. Kengetsu had a serious look on his face ready to pounce on Genkai on a moment's notice while Genkai was lazily yawning.

"First battle between Genkai Uzumaki and Kengetsu Hozuki Begin!" Hashirama shouted so that everyone could hear.

Kengetsu rushed with a tanto towards Genkai knowing pretty well long range water ninjutsu

would just be a waste of chakra against him.

Genkai with his hands in a pocket just lazily looked at him. When Kengetsu tried to deliver a slash, it was blocked by an Adamantine chain coming out of Genkai.

Two more chains attacked him but he turned into water and backed off, not without losing some chakra as the adamantine chains absorbed a part of it.

"Damn it. Looks like ninjutsu is my only option but how can I get past his absorption jutsu."

He started weaving hand signs for a ninjutsu thinking that there should be a limit or weakness to Genkai's absorption jutsu.

The battlefield had a small lake nearby to make the battle fair and give terrain advantages to Shinobis of both the villages so Kengetsu did not have much trouble using strong water ninjutsu.

"Water style: Water dragon Jutsu"

A water dragon made its way to Genkai but Genkai put his hand forward and absorbed the jutsu and released it back in pure chakra form towards Kengetsu who used a water wall to protect himself.

'I knew just one jutsu wouldn't be enough but I wanted to test the waters. My only bet is the Hozuki clan's secret jutsu but those Adamantine chaina are dangerous up close. Let's continue with ninjutsu for now.' Gengetsu thought grimly

"He doesn't stand a chance against Genkai of the dark release." Mu the second Tsuchikage commented

"I think even the Mizukage knows this. Genkai is as strong as me or even stronger than me." The current Tsuchikage said

He continued "Uzushiogakure has become too strong recently. They not only have individuals with unique and powerful kekkei genkais but a lot of clans with strong kekkei genkais. After this kage meeting, we would have to talk with kage of other villages to discuss how to deal with them or they would become a pain in the ass in the future."

Gengetsu was weaving hand signs while three of his water clones attacked Genkai who still looked bored.

"Genkai sensei!! Stop playing around and get over with it already." Yoriichi frustratingly shouted as he wanted for his fight to begin as soon as possible.

Genkai grumbled and said "Fine, this is getting boring anyways."

He teleported behind Kengetsu and used his Adamantine chains to pierce Kengetsu multiple times effectively draining him of his chakra and thus he was unable to turn into water and died.

An elite Jonin died just like that. No one in the crowd could believe it. Everyone was stupified.

Even the kages were dumbfounded, they knew that Genkai was stronger than Kengetsu but this strong? They couldn't believe it and on top of that he could teleport.

"He can use space- time ninjutsu?" Everyone looked at each other to make sure they had seen correctly that Genkai had really used a space time ninjutsu.

"Winner: Genkai Uzumaki" Hashirama declared who was himself stupefied at this.
