章 39: Chapter 39: Building(2)

Just like that, the wall building was in motion. The two goblins went on and collected rocks for the child to turn to bricks. After a few trips back and forth, the portal already had a lot of bricks grouped up in the corner.

So much so that it even started hindering the goblins when they went in the portal. Of course, just the two goblins couldn't have possibly done all that by themselves. It was actually with the help of the other goblins that they were able to do that much.

After seeing the two goblins getting more fruit from just bringing rocks from the mountain, he other goblins too wanted in on the job. The child expecting such a reaction, had already created a few more wheelbarrows.

And since the other goblins watched the two doing their jobs, they didn't fail to do it at all. The did it just as good as the two builder goblins.

This was of course within the child's plans. By only creating a few specialised goblins, he could get them to teach the other goblins what he has written in their heads.

In this way, a normal goblins can turn into a builder goblin And a builder goblin can also pick up the sword and become a soldier goblin.

The same could be said about the gremlins. The vast amounts of knowledge the child has poured into their brains is not only for them to keep, but share. Although it would be hard for a goblin to do some of the things a gremlins does, most f the simpler stuff should be possible.

So in the future, the child expects to see a hob-goblins that can set up traps and goblins that can actually speak.

That is of course still far in the future, so before then, he has to take care of the pile of bricks in front of the portal.

Luckily though, the child was already done creating two new goblins.

Just like the first two, these goblins were also builder goblins. But unlike the first two, these new two did not get out of the portal holding a wheelbarrow, but a shovel and a pickaxe instead.

With these two tools, the two started digging up in a circle around the portal.

As the two goblins digged, they were soon joined by the first two builder goblins. As the four builder goblins were basically the same, they too knew the purpose of the circular hole lining around the portal. And since the other goblins were already doing the rock collecting part, he saw no reason to keep the two builders doing something the normal goblins were doing.

So with four goblins, the hole was done in no time. The other goblins were a bit confused as to why the four were doing this, but they ultimately let them be. They were more interested in doing something that will give them some thing in return afterwards.

But unlike what they expected, the four goblins all went into the portal. Inside, they too were rewarded.

The other goblins apon seeing this, got a bit interested. They too wanted to get a reward by just digging a hole, but they were deterred by the child's order for them not to do so.

As what the builder goblins were doing was not just mere digging. It was precise actions instilled into their minds. If a normal goblins was to attempt to do he same, they would likely just break or ruin things.

After the four ate their reward, two wheelbarrows holding what seemed like dirt waited for them.

Only this wasn't actually dirt. But instead a magical form of earth the child had created after playing with earth type Ether.

What special about this dirt is that it can act similarly to cement. As if it was mixed with water, it will turn hard once it dries up. what makes it special is that it does not need anything else in order to act in such a way and it doesn't really need long for it to dry up.

The child hasn't really gotten a name go It, so he he jut called it magical cement.

So with the magical cement created, it was time for the actual building to start. So the goblins poured water on the magical cement. After that, they poured the mixture into a part of the hole. Before the cement could thicken, the goblins pushed a brick right into the hole.

They the repeated this process until the whole thing was complete. Thus creating a small wall that barely reached 10 centimeters around the portsl. They then poured the magical cement over the gaps on the gaps left over. Thus making sure that the bricks wouldn't shift even if attacked.

After that, Well, it was already dark, so the child ordered them to stop. In the dark, he goblin sight is as good as blind, so they are likely to make mistakes when building. Plus, it would not be good to be making too many noise in quiet night. He could not forget the main reason he is building the wall after all.

With the kobold's ears, it wouldn't take long before they would catch up on the sound and find him through it.

And since he was calling in the builders and normal goblins, he also had to call in the gremlins dispatched off to another mission.

So it did not air long for the three green skinned little creatures to return. From the misty an darkening forest, the three gremlins emerged. On each of their backs was something akin to a backpack and a jacket fused together. It was something the child had created for the gremlins when moving alone. It could not only hold all the darts that is their weapons, but a few potions that the child had created for their mission.

As unlike normal, these gremlins weren't going out to set up traps and hunt. They were instead going out to spread false information. That is right, it was an old trick sed in wars to make the enemy make mistakes.

But since this is not like modern earth were fake information can be passed through discovered spies, the child had another idea to spread it.

He did this by making two potions. These two potions were called, nature scent and goblins scent. These two potions have the simple function of masking scent and spreading goblin scent respectively.

The mission of the gremlins was to simply spread the goblin scent potion far away from the portal. Such that the kobolds would believe that the goblins live on that side of the forest.

In this way, the goblins would have a harder time finding the portal as they would be looking in the wrong direction from the beginning. The nature scent potion was to simply mask the gremlin's scent after they applied the goblin scent potion. Although the potion is not perfect, it should do well considering that the gremlins will be applying the potions while on top of a tree. So it is unlikely that the kobolds will climb trees and start sniffing around.
