Christopher was growing annoyed as he continued staring at her. He came home early with the intention of eating with her and then having a good time with her. He had so many things planned for her. Her questions, on the other hand, irritated him.
"You are a master at ruining my mood." With that, he turned around and left.
"Uh-Oh?" Abigail gaped at his departing form. "Is this his answer? Um… Christopher… you are bad…"
She threw a pillow at the door and started sobbing.
He paused on the stairwells as he heard her yell. For a moment, he thought of going back to her and comforting her. His ego and anger stopped him from doing so and prompted him to ignore her.
He stormed out of the house and into his car.
Christopher didn't find peace. His rage faded quickly as soon as the car started running down the road, and he grew restless. Her sobbing kept ringing in his ears.
He knew she was still crying.
'Go home.'
