Chapter 32: Across the Line
Andrew Fray POV:
Holly and I lay snuggled together on a bed of frivolous extravagance with a silk robe draped over us like a blanket. I had been awake for at least an hour at this point, but Holly was still sleeping peacefully, her head resting on my chest over my heart.
I had to smile as I gazed at her. I had come to Boston just to get my best friend back, but now she was so much more than that. My hand traced across her back and along her arm, feeling the soft skin and toned muscles beneath. I basked in how beautiful she was, how beautiful she felt, but that only reminded me of something else.
That I had nearly lost her forever.
And there was no reason to assume they wouldn’t try to take her from me again. Whoever they were.
But that was a problem we were going to face together.
