The shriek emitted by the creature was so loud that it was almost certain that every single person in the area heard it. That wasn't even exclusive to those within the barrows but also likely reaching anyone within a kilometre of the ruins. Of course Dahlia, being the closest to the origin, was the one most affected as it felt as though her eardrums burst due to the sound.
The walls shook, rubble was knocked loose from the ceiling, and the water itself trembled, all just from the beast's roar. However, that sound wasn't an attack. If anything, the screech was a declaration that the onslaught was only just beginning.
Short chapter today, sorry. I almost didn't write at all because I'm absolutely worn down. I'm happy I could bring you this much at least though, but there's a decent chande that I'll need to take some days off eventually. I'd rather not, but I just wanted to say that as a bit of forewarning.
Anyway, although they are reunited and they are no longer submerged, don't let that trick you into thinking things are over~ Also, I wonder where Valentina is, ooooooo spoooooky~ Don't worry, I didn't forget about her, but we'll be waiting a bit longer to return to her POV.
Anyways, as always, I hope you're having a wonderful day.
