Now, to address the elephant in the room. I've been trying to recreate the arc reactor so that I can use magic but not go into a vegetative state right after I burn through my fat reserves and overdraft my energy. But my problem is I don't even know how to approach such a thing. To my knowledge the arc reactor is a very complicated device that's based on some pretty simple and convenient science that I can mimic through magic. In a sense the arc reactor is a fusion reactor capable of producing a near limitless clean energy as long as you have the proper fuel. 'The power of the sun at your fingertips' if you will. All of this while fusing ions at a temperature safe enough to be stored inside a human's chest. But also powerful enough to melt down a metal arm…
My current issue is actually getting it to work without magic as well outputting more energy than being put in. Synthesizing the element 'Badassium' is much much more of a simpler task since I can create a particle accelerator using portals in an isolated space. The only problem is that I don't actually know what the element is and I don't know what material Stark used for the base of his element. All I know is that the new element is based on the atomic structure of the tesseract and the garden center of the Stark Expo. Meaning whatever the element is, it can touch an infinity stone and harness its power. I can turn any metal element into an isotope of what I think is badassium because I can shift the atoms into the structure of that one iconic scene. "A new element that's impossible to synthesize" So far the ones I've made can work but they require too much energy to produce, they burn up really really fast and don't last that long. Something that Stark's element does not have any problem with since they will still be around long after humanity is gone.
UGH! If only I had paid more attention in chemistry and physics back when I was Samuel. Then I could approach this a little easier instead of having to try and pull shit out of my ass and hope that it works. I know that with magic and my basic education of science I can cut a few corners and achieve the scientific results that I desire. I can shave off a few years of trial and error as well as expensive lab equipment when I cause the change through my own body and instead of a traditional vessel of measurement. But even then I don't have a lot of time. Sure it's still 2010 but that only gives me a maximum of six years to steal Peter Parker's powers and become strong enough to defeat Thanos. How the fuck is a fifteen year old kid going to take on a thousand year old space warlord when a squad of superheros couldn't defeat him on the first try. Sure my dad is also a thousand year old warlord but only on earth during a time with no superheroes. Thanos on the other hand THE space warlord that's been pillaging and killing since maybe even before my father. Hmmm this is completely unrelated but I wonder what space ducks from space Australia taste like. Anyways in this world with magic I can recreate science. Wait if I can recreate science through my body and magic then…I should be looking at this at a different angle. Yes yes. Instead of trying to recreate an exact arc reactor with electricity in mind I should try using plasma instead!!! The universe is 99 percent plasma and plasma is just the next stage of matter from gas. Oxygen is a gas and I can only use magic through breathing oxygen and converting MY bio-electricity into magic. By supercharging the gas around me into a charged form of matter that can also be turned into electrical energy I can get a two for one deal. I'll have a stronger and more powerful source of fuel as well as an abundant of electricity that I can draw from firsts before going into my fat reserves.
Instead of trying to use the magnetic fields generated from the copper wires to contain and generate the electricity. I should try recreating a tokamak reactor. Tony Stark's arc reactor is just a tokamak reactor that actually works and I need to be doing the same thing! Fuck why had I been wasting all this time trying to build my own electric generator thinking it was the same as a FUSION reactor? SMACK! Wait a minute. I wonder if…
I turn to look around my room before peeking my head out of my door and peering down my hall. Good, it seems like everyone has gone to bed now. I pull myself back into my room before locking the door. I place a finger on the temple of my head while trying to remember how Vanko's laboratory looked. I'm sure it has already been destroyed by now since it's been a couple of months since the events of Monaco and the Stark Expo. I just hope Daddy Feige, the true 'One Above All' can overlook this small detail I'm trying to exploit because it was never explicitly shown that Ivan destroyed the his lab and paperwork before leaving Russia. Let's see…I know it's in Moscow somewhere and near the Kazansky railroad…but fuck that's too broad of a search. Fuck it! It's my only method of getting my hands on the Stark-Vanko blueprint and I need it. There's no way I'm going to risk appearing on S.H.I.E.L.D and Hydra's radar just for a blue sheet of paper that's locked away somewhere that's always under surveillance. If only I could've been there on the last day of the Stark Expo to pick up a reactor from one of Ivan's drones…no wait didn't he turn them into bombs at the end?

Today I had a thought about visiting home to check on my brother since I have not seen him in over a year and a half. I want to surprise him with a late birthday gift to encourage him to keep on training but I don't think that's appropriate. I'm still not strong enough to protect my family and I should not get involved with their development. I know that they have the natural talents to become some of the best fighters in this world and in the age of superhumans. I just…I just need to do my best to meet them at the peak so I won't fall behind as the dumbass with no talents or luck. I know I was never supposed to keep living after my rebirth because I don't have any fate lines in my palms. So now I need to make use of my borrowed time to make sure it's my own instead of whoever brought me here.
Anyways the blueprint! I've found the laboratory in Moscow after a couple of hours of searching. Sure I did get a few stares and glares from the locals because of my outfit but I mostly just kept to myself until I found the underpass next to the store in the opening scene of Iron Man 2. It was important enough for them to show the underpass twice in the movie so it definitely had a connection to the Vanko estate. Once I found the underpass I knew I have to creep through a couple of windows nearby until I stumbled onto a window that led into the lab. Now to avoid any more suspicion than what I already had on me. I sat on a bench and entered the astral planes to float through the buildings until I found the laboratory. After which I went back to my body before finding a bathroom stall to portal into the laboratory. Which is kind of dumb because if I had access to the mirror dimension it would have been a lot easier for me to move around without being seen. SIGH I should ask Master Kaecilius about the spell when I get the chance. Then I would have two of the most broken spells at my disposal that everyone seems to undervalue and underestimate.
Now I kind of want to take all of the equipment that Vanko left behind with me to Kamar-Taj so I can rebuild a proper arc reactor but, but, but tsk tsk tsk my only purpose here is to steal the blueprint. Everything else is pretty useless for me since I don't want Stark and J.A.R.V.I.S to recognize my stolen technology. I just need the blueprint to help me understand the principle behind the technology so I can rebuild the functions into the form of a relic. Now back to our room Ned! WOOSH!
---Three months Later---
The dim glow of a computer screen shines against the darkness as modern technology finally broke through the walls of Kamar-Taj for the first time since its establishment by the Great Agomotto. On the black screen the only word that can be seen is 'Loading' and a continuously spinning orange semicircle. Suddenly the black page blink into life as the screen is flooded with lines upon lines of texts before flicking back into a black page. Just as soon as the screen switches from a wall of text into another black page it soon fades into a glow of colors as the BIOS is finally installed onto the motherboard.
----Ned's POV----
"Holy shit it's actually working!" I set the 'Ink of Innovation' down on my workstation as my eyes landed on the glow of my newly built computer. I turned back to put away my current project before walking towards the faint glow of the screen. I raise my hands together and form a sign as I watch the space around my computer start to fracture. CRK CRACK!. The space shattered into barely visible crystals of nothingness as I stepped out of the mirror dimension and back into my dorm. Man I should practice on expanding my space in the mirror dimension because my laboratory is barely bigger than my actual room. Oh well, that's an objective for later. Anyways, the computer. After building my arc reactor my next project was to revive the mechanical dreams of Leonardo into the modern world. In his grimoire he had a prototype design of his calculator but unlike the one known to the rest of the world, this design is an improved calculator that is capable of making predictions faster than the average mathematician of his time. When I first read about the design I just dismissed the prototype because why would I want to put in the effort to build the gears and machinery just to do some basic arithmetics. But after completing my cheat reactor I got an itch to build a new computer to get back in touch with my modern earthly attachment. Now I could've just built another computer from scratch and scraps but because I'm such an extra person I went back into the grimoire to see if I can find any new inspirations. Load and behold, I have a proto analog computer patiently waiting for me to bring back to life.
Now how the fuck did I turn a clockwork calculator into a "digital" computer? Well the simple answer is movie magic but the long answer is that I built a calculator that uses electricity to make calculations for the yes and nos I need for my 1s and 0s. By combining my experience with creating my own BIOS and components from scratch and the new addition of the analog calculator I was able to create the first modern super analog computer that seems to be working. I think? I mean the power source and processor is directly from a normal arc reactor.
I walk over to the screen to begin messing with the computer since it has been so long since I had reconnected with the interwebs. Now it seems like everything is fine and the computer functions just like a regular digital computer. The only difference is the speed at which this computer is processing. Now I've heard that during the 90s and early 2000s most computers were really not that fast or powerful. And it was only after 2010 that computer technology began to skyrocket to the point that any computer from the early 2000s seemed like an Antikythera in comparison. But since I grew up in the era of the 2040s I can't even begin to imagine how slow the 2010s were, much less the 90s. Now I think my computer is up to speed for the time right? It feels a little slower than what I'm used to from my previous life but it's a lot faster than the one I built back home…
Let's see now that my computer is alive and stable. I need to build a connection to the internet. There's no way in hell I'm going to pay for shitty internet speed ever again. I mean I never paid for it when I was still Samuel because I never got the chance to but I will never ever use a service provider in this lifetime. Fuck em for trying to sell my own personal data when I'm already paying for their service. Now I need to establish the infrastructure for Kamar-Taj's wifi and electricity so I can surf the webs until my time here is up. Anyways, that's a project for later. For now what I need to do is give y'all an update on my cheat reactor I mean arc reactor.
So the basics behind the arc reactor is a continuous ring of fusion plasma contained within multiple rings of electromagnetic copper casings. The plasma will take the hydrogen atoms from the air and the atoms from the badassium to fuse into a different lighter atomic bond. This new fusion of bonds is kept in the ring of the plasma to be reused for another fusion after a couple of nanoseconds. Because the new bonds are lighter than the two main components used for the fusion, an electron is released during the process. This freed electron is the main harvest from the fusion reactor for electricity. This process will keep occurring over and over for an indefinite amount of time because of the impossible element. If it had been uranium 235 or palladium then toxic radioactive waste would be produced once all the useful fuel has been burnt up. With badassium, all the shortcomings of the arc reactor are skimped over and the energy produced is a near limitless clean energy that can last for years to come. Decades even since I'm not using it for anything big or extravagant.
Now that's IF I had built a normal reactor. Which I did but I can't be walking around with that on my person. No, what I made for my personal use and carry is a relic instead of a normal reactor. With the help of sorcery and movie magic I've created a lantern and rings... Hehe fuck me. My magic arc reactor is the size of a hand held lantern and I can draw energy from using…a fucking ring. My rings glow with a hue of blue symbols whenever they're charged to full capacity. I didn't want to make them green because I don't want to be a green lantern but it just ended up with me being a blue lantern instead. SIGH. No uh the design for the energy absorption came from the function my 'Ink of Innovation'. By only recreating the energy absorption and redistribution runes I essentially made rechargeable battery packs in the forms of jewelry. And uhh well. I'm going to need to come up with a better way of disguising the reactor and it's usage for my magic in the future or else I would unintentionally become another knock off of my dad and the lantern corps. Hell I'm already going to be a Whiplash knock off and a Spiderman knock off with my magic whips and abilities I don't need to add more names to my bootleg-ery.
