Oksana
Once everyone had their fill of food, Oksana stood up and said, “Yuri, take Assar to his quarters. Show him the facilities in his room.”
Yuri looked like he was chewing glass, but always the dutiful servant, he bowed his head, “Yes, my lady.”
She watched amusedly as Yuri shot Assar a look dripping with hostility, which was matched equally by the hunter. Assar stood up, “We will leave at dawn tomorrow. If you are not ready to leave by then, I will depart without you.”
With his piece said, he strode out of the room following a scowling Yuri. Oksana pursed her lips at his insolence but decided to just come to terms with having to deal with the hunter’s crass and uncouth behavior.
“Uncle, accompany me to my chambers, please. I want a word.”
“Of course, my lady,” Dimitri said without hesitation.
