章 100: Investigation

The room upstairs was in a disarray but it was clean compared to the floor below.

"It is alright for one night stay.": The woman said as she gave way. " Your meal would be up shortly."

Xaloc nodded, "I came to investigate the missing children. Your daughter is on the list. Do you mind if I ask you some questions?"

The woman was shocked and stared at him agape. Ever since the month, a lot of youths had come into the village to investigate, however, they were usually more discreet or at least took a while to get to know the villagers before they began to ask questions.

She frowned, "You are here because you accepted some sort of mission. You don't really care about the missing children, do you? When you said you will stay here for just a night, you were lying, weren't you?"
