章 31: Chapter 30 ( snakes sand )
Now Lord Renly was so angry at what was happening. He had lost his biggest supporter to the throne and a look at Lord Loras, whose expression was now shocked by what his grandmother Lady Olenna had said, and told his bodyguards to go prepare to head back to Stormlands to convince everyone not to betray him.
Outside Oberyn was staring at King John in silence before laughing and asking King John, "How did you know about my brother's plan, John, I don't remember telling you about it?"
"Well, there are a few things I don't know, Oberyn, and your brother's plan was one of them." Of course King John was lying.
King John tried to change the subject and asked Prince Oberyn, "Why don't you introduce me to some places here?"
Prince Oberyn laughed and said with a sinister smile, "Of course, but before that, I must introduce you to my children."
"So you're the one who made my darling Oberyn mad at his brother for him, you seem really special." said Lady Ellaria Sand, staring at King Kohn with a charming smile.
"And of course you are Lady Ellaria. Prince Oberyn did not do your beauty justice when he told me of you." King John said while kissing her hand with a playful smile.
And looking at the famous sand snakes, he said, "It's nice to see you little princesses." And upon hearing that, they all became angry, except for Lady Tyne.
Lady Obara came forward and said to King John, "I heard that you defeated my father. I want to duel you with my sisters. what do you say?"
"Calm down, Obara, King John is joking with you." said Oberyn, staring at his daughter, waiting for what King John would say.
In fact, he wanted his daughters to take revenge on him for what King John did to him in Essos. Prince Oberyn still remembers those crazy moves King John made in their fight.
"Well, I wouldn't mind. Let's go out and fight in the ring." Stated King John.
Everyone went out after that and of course the people looked at that and gathered. Princess Arianne was watching from afar at the person who would become her fiancé, as her father said. Princess Arianne was angry at her father, who wanted to sell her again to... another person. When Princess Arianne heard that Prince Viserys died, she was happy about it because his brother was the cause of her aunt's death and also knew that he was no different from his crazy father. But now she was staring at King John, whom Princess Arianne could not help but admit that he was beautiful with that silky black hair, white skin clear as snow, and of course the polished body of a warrior.
"So don't you want to choose any weapon?" said Lady Obara, staring at King John angrily who seemed too lazy to raise his eyes.
"We don't have a lot of time and I don't need a weapon." Stated King John. But, before King John finished his words, Lady Obara attacked him.
The spear aimed at his face came fast but for King John, it was nothing of note. It might as well have not been moving at all when compared to his daily training with Achilles. King John avoids the flying daggers sent by Lady Tyene with the famous Matrix move that made even Princess Arianne open her eyes in amazement. Even Prince Oberyn smiles at it. King John didn't try to attack them. This enraged the sand snakes greatly. King John's arm was suddenly grabbed by Lady Nymeria's whip. Lady Nymeria tried to pull him, but King John didn't move an inch. King John then pulled the whip towards him hard and made Lady Nymeria fly before she fell and hit her sister Lady Tyene behind him. A spear came in the air towards him and King John grabbed Lady Obara by her hand and threw her at her so quickly that Lady Obara couldn't move to do anything and the spear once beside her head. A strand of her hair was cut off as the spear slammed into the wall. Even Prince Oberyn couldn't help but say in a voice that everyone heard, "A monster!"
Lady Obara fell to the ground because she knew she would have died if King John wanted to.
King John who was still calm and said to her, "If you can't even touch me, how do you want me to fight you seriously? Your level is just too weak. Even my weakest soldier can defeat you."
"This is a lie, I am Obara, the daughter of Oberyn, the Prince of Dorn, the red serpent, no one mere soldier can defeat me!" Yelled Lady Obara.
"We will have to see if that is true. In fact I plan to have my wedding in the coming months and I will invite everyone to my lands. Then you can see with your own eyes." King John said leaving her there looking at him angrily.
After nightfall at the water garden, King John saw the disappearance of Lord Renly and his guards, but the thing he didn't understand is why Lady Brienne of Tarth is still here.
A few hours ago
Renly was staring at Lady Brienne and said, "I'm no longer a king and I'm going back to the StormLands and there's no place for you beside me anymore." Lord Renly said without any concern and went with the rest of his guards wishing he could kill King John with his own hands.
After he was gone, Lady Brienne fell to the ground and knew that her dream had evaporated into the air of becoming the first Female Knight in Westeros. Lady Brienne could not help but wait for a ship to leave for her family again.
At the moment Lady Brienne was watching King John walking up to her with his majestic Kingsguard. She knew that they were very strong. She had heard that one of them had killed the mountain and the other had defeated Ser Barristan Selmy in a mere few moves. Also, she had learned that the number of his guards was not seven, but nine, and two of them were giants that could cut a man into two halves with their hand only. She did not know that they were in the Riverlands because King John ordered them not to go with him because he did not want to frighten people with them.
"So you are the Knight Lady Brienne I think." King John said to her.
"I'm no longer a knight, Your Grace." said Lady Brienne, trying not to show her feelings in front of him.
"What do you think about becoming my fiancée's bodyguard, Lady Arya Stark?" King John said.
Lady Brienne was shocked to hear this. but she never wanted to be taken into someone's service without knowing why. So she asked why.
"Well, as you know, my fiancée, Arya, needs a bodyguard, since she will be a queen in the future. I think you will get along quite well with the little she-wolf, and of course I will appoint you as a knight. What do you think?" King John told Lady Brienne.
After hearing his words, she kneeled to King John and pledged her loyalty to him and to serve with all her might to protect Lady Arya from any harm that might befall her.
"That is the true spirit of the knight, so keep up with that. After we're done here, we'll leave for the North. Get ready." John said to her, before heading to the Queen of Thorns.
