The royal knights came over for the farewell. Tristan and Marcus waited in the front steps along with the Emperor. Nicholas watched the girl pick up the corner of her skirt as she walked up the staircase, climbing toward him. She bowed as she stopped two steps in front of him.

“Thank you for your kindness. Your Majesty.”

Nicholas could not handle being this distant. He walked down with his arms open. Rosa was engulfed in a tight hug from Nicholas.

“Why is it that every time I get you close to me, you start running away to a different route.” He hugged her tight; Rosa was so small when he first met her.

She was more like his own child than a sister. He wanted to pamper this kid, and she just kept running elsewhere.

“Even now, you are running away from me.” He pouted his lips as he held her shoulders, releasing her from the hug.

Rosa grinned from behind her veil.

“You start first; we will meet you there.” He patted her head.
