The day in the princess hall was silent, unlike the previous fuss. The girl was quiet and scared. She did not engage herself in many outings or seek approval from anyone. She would join her father for lunch, but there was no longer that attitude on her face. She did not feel the need to talk to anyone. Tahmina tried her best to make her master happy, from bringing in more gifts from the treasury to sweet treats from the kitchen. For Rosa, on the other hand, this was a blessing. She could better keep an eye on the princes when she was not making random trips. She stayed on the corner, looking at the lady on the bed.
However, the reason why she is this quiet also makes her look at the princess twice.
‘Maybe it is just that she could lose her mother.’ The shadow scoffed at the thought. ‘The queen, after all has the most power; the princess would be pretty powerless without the help of the Queen behind her.’
Rosa turned to answer him, ‘She has her father who spoils her dearly.’
