Rosa could not think and took a step back. “Who are you?” a raspy voice came from behind her.
She took out the sword and turned back. In front of her was no attacker rather an old man with grey hair. His posture was straight. A few signs of wrinkles could be seen on his skin. He tied his hair on the back of his head. The cloth on his back was shabby but clean.
“Who are you and what are you doing in my house?” He asked again.
Rosa put the sword back in her belt. “Are you the owner of this house?” She took a step in front of him.
“Yes, and you are disturbing the people in there.” The old man grunted.
Rosa turned around to check. ‘What people? He might mean the dead.’ She quickly closed the door behind her.
“Pardon me. I and my group were passing by this place. We were attacked by something. I got separated.” She decided it was better to mix the truth with lie. ‘This man does not require hearing the total truth.’
