She moved a bit her body was feeling a bit cold. “Why do you think they would send so many soldiers to kill a few recruits?”
“I don’t know either. It feels strange to me.
“I never understood the movement of the Vattaku soldiers.” Tom had his head bowed down.
It seems like he was trying hard not to fall sleep. His eyes almost half closed. “I did not expect we would lose so many in just a day.”
“We were not prepared for this; it was supposed to be just a normal escort mission.” A kindle of anger was burning in her eyes.
“I am hoping the captain made it. We will get help then or else we have to move. ” Tom chuckled at the suggestion.
“I don’t think we can move before it is totally dark. We were lucky enough for the rain to give coverage. We would be an open target for whatever is out there.”
He leaned back at the carriages wooden board. “Just stay here until help arrives.”
